November 5 and 6, 2018

Subject: THE VOTE
Now you, my fellow American, decide who your leaders will be.

Tuesday, November 6 is perhaps the most important midterm election ever in the history of our great country. There are 36 governorships up for election. More than 70% of the great American states will have new or reelected governors. That can produce a radical change in the way states are run. If your state has a governors’ election, I do hope and pray that you will vote for the right man or woman to lead and legislate, to make decisions and move your great state forward. Please vote for governor if you can. The lives of millions of people may depend upon your vote.

Governors are much like the President of the United States on a smaller scale. They can appoint judges, fill vacancies temporarily in the House or Senate, federal or state. They can veto state legislation. They are powerful and they matter. These governors can be pro-Trump and Trumpian policies (Republican) or the exact opposite. Who they are and what they believe will dramatically affect the great state in which you live. Please vote for the right governor.

And then there is the House of Representatives, all 435 of them. Every representative will be elected or reelected. There will be some major changes like in Wisconsin where Paul Ryan no longer runs. But there will be the same old-same old, like Pelosi from San Francisco-California who hardly bothers to campaign, thinking, knowing her reelection is assured. If 219 Democrats are elected to the House, Pelosi will be the speaker of our HOUSE. Recall the years 2009-2016, all eight Obama years under the leadership of Pelosi. America got legislation passed, lots of it so that we could see “what is in it.” Pray that doesn’t happen, but it will if you don’t vote for representatives DIFFERENT FROM HER. Count on impeachment proceedings of Trump and Kavanaugh if Pelosi and 218 other representatives like her are in fact elected. That would be disastrous for America.

Then there is the United States Senate. Mitch McConnell from Kentucky now leads. If the Democrats win as many as 51 Senators, Chuck Schumer of New York, radical- progressive-liberal will lead the Senate. The combination of Schumer and Pelosi could radically change America, stymie the Trump objectives which are, in my view right for America, no matter what you think of the man himself, and move America aggressively toward socialism and worse. Please vote for the right Senator when you have the opportunity, the right man or woman to represent you in the Senate from your great state. America needs your vote, the right vote for the right candidate with the right heart, the right head, the right policies now more than ever. PLEASE VOTE.

The elections are over. Ruckus, argumentative, accusatory, embarrassing, lies abounding. In our politics, tragically so, virtually:

We could only hope and PRAY that, now without this political circus for two years, Americans could unite. That we the people would become one nation, INDIVISIBLE! That at least for a season, our differences would become secondary and we would in fact come together to do what is right, what is best for America and all of us citizens:

You would hope and pray to that end, would you not? That we the people, so often angrily divided would unite, become indivisible, unite behind common, core American beliefs so that we together could pursue liberty and justice for all. We seem unable to do that, but perhaps with the power of prayer, should we once again become one nation UNDER GOD, we could unite, in prayer, for the right and once again become a shining beacon on the hill as a witness for truth, justice, peace and freedom for all mankind. Our prayer would be for all of that for us, but for our leaders as well.

We are admonished to pray for our leaders. They are, we are told, ordained by God. They are there, over us, because that is the will of God. Often, that is difficult to understand, but, if you are a person of faith, it is the will of God that those who rule America are elected by us, no matter who they are. We have been responsible for implementing the will of God and we have delegated our individual decision making to them, the House of Representatives, the United States Senate, the judiciary and our President. We have been the instrument of the Lord God in their election and we have given them the right to rule. We can defend and resist only in the face of evil, immorality and the defiance by them of the requirements of Scripture and the life of faith. Even if that occurs, and we standup, we are admonished to PRAY for them. So let us do just that, pray for right-thinking and wisdom for all of our leaders.

PRAY that our leaders will RESTORE RESPECT among peoples, and in government, and respectful consideration of the human beings, all of them who now represent us. There is little of that in Washington, D.C.

PRAY that all of America, now just our leaders federal and state, but all of us, everyone everywhere will become KINDER AND GENTLER as we were so admonished by former President George H.W. Bush. Soft answers turn away wrath. Let us pray we the people and our leaders become more transparent, more thoughtful of others.

PRAY that we will build together as Americans a sense of cooperation and community. We have so much more in common than we do differences. We live in the greatest nation in the history of mankind with the greatest freedoms ever afforded human beings. Let us work together to protect them even as we together, American brothers and sisters, live with each other in PEACE.

PRAY that more than ever that we return to our heritage, our foundation, our beginning where we once were:

We can not expect the God of the Universe, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ to BLESS AMERICA if we ignore and deny Him. America can be nothing and go nowhere without God.

PRAY that we will honor as citizens the right to:

For all Americans, but as well for all others in this world. The rights and freedoms we have are those which all, all men and women created by God, should have. Pray that all mankind will come together in prayer, giving Glory to God in the Highest so that there can be on earth:

PRAY that we the people will learn how to communicate, dialogue with respect. That we will learn to LISTEN to each other no matter how much we may disagree. That we will stand firm in our beliefs on the one hand, but respectful of the reasonable beliefs of others. Our Constitution requires that. Let us pray that the RULE OF LAW will prevail, that through dialogue and cooperation, our Constitution will be protected and the laws of our great country will be just and fair. That can only happen as a result of men and women, decision makers who are persons of faith.

PRAY that there will be PEACE in the world. There is no greater tool of the devil than war. Mankind now has the ability to utterly destroy itself, and easily so. Hundreds of millions of people can die and many believe will in fact die as a result of nuclear warfare. We the people of faith believe that only the One who came to bring us peace can prevent that. We should pray for that intervention and the peace that only HE can bring.

PRAY for the wisdom of God. That we may understand WHY elections were as they were and what, according to Scripture, God has in store for us. It has been ordained that we the people become the instruments of God in the election of our leaders every two years. Now we watch and wait to determine what those unbelievably powerful 545 PEOPLE will do with our country and for us. We can affect further change only two years from now. Our lives are in their hands. And so we watch and pray. But we standup where necessary, even as we do our very best to make peace with our fellow man. But all the while, let us hope and pray for revival, real spiritual revival so that America can once again become energized by the FAITH OF OUR FATHERS.

THAT and only that will:

No man, no President, no House or Senate can do that, but only THE ONE can. PRAY to that end, my fellow American for now for the next two years and forevermore, it is only HE who can:

And you.
