Tanners Record To Date: 67-54 🤯

I had my best week going 11-5 in Week 8.

I guessed a few games wrong that I ended up betting on and winning like the Pats beating the Jets and the browns beating the Ravens. The Jets are essentially finished and Aaron Rodgers has no one else to blame now.

The Browns look like a completely different team with Jameis Winston under center. The Browns have a sneaky chance to make it into the playoffs with Jameis. The entire team has rallied around him! Colts’ quarterback, Anthony Richardson, is the meme of the week, saying he was tired and pulled himself out of the game.

Last week, I mentioned that there have been so many injuries as of late to stars and if the players are just soft. Is this a perfect example or what?

Millions of people across the U.S. would kill to be the starting quarterback of an NFL team. Is there entitlement in the NFL? Maybe so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Let’s see what we like for Week 9 of the NFL:

Texans @ Jets (-2.5): Thurs. 6:15p

The season-ending ACL injury for the Texans is unfortunate with Nico Collins already on IR (for now). Tank Dell, Robert Woods, and John Metchie III will be the starting wide-outs for the Texans.

Now, the Jets are a disgrace.

They have fired their head coach, demoted their offensive coordinator, traded for Davante Adams and they still can’t win games.

Their two lone wins were when Saleh was coaching. The defense is poor compared to their last two seasons of stats and Rodgers is turning the ball over and having to get rid of the ball quicker.

The O-line isn’t solid enough and Rodgers isn’t as quick anymore to roll out or dodge sacks. The Jets have to win this game in order for there to be a miracle they can make the playoffs, but I think even with the Texans injuries Joe Mixon will carry them to a 24-21 Texans’ win

Cowboys @ Falcons (-3): Sun. 11:00a

This game should be entertaining but we all know the Cowboys might just Cowboy this game.

The Falcons are battling with the Buccaneers for the NFC South title, so a win here would be huge.

The Cowboys need a win more than the Falcons, but Falcons win 27-21

Dolphins @ Bills (-6): Sun. 11:00a

The Dolphins have Tua back, but still lost to the Cardinals.

I think the Bills are a top two AFC team with Baltimore. Losing Stefon Diggs was a blessing in disguise. Shakir, Coleman, and Cooper is a great starting trio with multiple receivers to sub in.

The Bills also have two solid tight ends in Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox. The Bills defense lost key pieces but still seems to be as potent as ever. Bills win 31-24

Raiders @ Bengals (-7): Sun. 11:00a

The Raiders should just tank for Shedeur Sanders. The Bengals need wins to try and get a Wild Card spot. The Bengals offense is strong but their defense is still very suspect. Bengals win 24-17

Chargers (-1.5) @ Browns: Sun. 11:00a

This should be a solid game.

The reinvigorated Browns may be able to beat the Chargers. Last year, this game had a crazy ending with the Chargers almost losing the game by throwing the ball and turning the ball over on downs. Browns keep rolling with Jameis and win 27-24

Patriots @ Titans (-3.5): Sun. 11:00a

This is maybe the worst matchup of the week. The Patriots actually looked decent against he struggling Jets. The Titans are just a colossal mess though. They traded away D-Hop but still have Calvin Ridley who did well last week.

The Titans are 1-6 and the Patriots are 2-5 but have been in closer games and are in a definite rebuild. Patriots win 23-20

Commanders (-4) @ Giants: Sun. 11:00a

The Commanders should win this game easily.

Especially, after their emphatic last-minute hail-mary last week. The Giants do have Malik Nabers back, but Tyron Tracey Jr. got injured, so the run game may be weak with Singletary. Commanders win 24-14

Saints (-7) @ Panthers: Sun. 11:00a

The Saints have a ton of injuries and the Panthers just aren’t good.

I’m surprised the Saints are this big of favorites. Saints win 21-17

Jaguars @ Eagles (-7.5): Sun. 2:05p

The Jaguars are done. At 2-6 they are not as big of a letdown as the Jets, but this team has studs everywhere and can’t stay consistent.

The Eagles look pretty good at 5-2. They do seem to still have some secondary issues and the offense seems lackluster at times. The Eagles have so much talent on both sides of the ball that they should win and cover 28-17

Broncos @ Ravens (-9.5): Sun. 11:00a

The Ravens are heavy favorites for a Broncos team that is 5-3. Bo Nix still has a long way to go, but is progressing every week.

I think the Ravens offense won’t be as lethal as usual against the Broncos’ defense. Ravens win 24-1

Bears @ Cardinals (-1.5): Sun. 2:05p

This will be a good game hopefully. The Bears’ defense is strong, but the offense is leaning on Deandre Swift entirely. Calbe Williams has arguably only had one solid game, even with all of those weapons. The Cardinals seem to be able to beat the middle to lower tiered teams. James Conner is still a beast and puts the team on his back more than people say. Cardinals win 23-20

Lions (-3.5) @ Packers: Sun. 2:25p

The Packers may be without Jordan Love in this pivotal divisional matchup. They also struggled last week at Jacksonville, who we know has struggled. The Lions are the best team in the NFL right now. Their defense, offense, and special teams is on fire.

The two glaring rough spots on the Lions’ team is the loss of Aiden Hutchinson, and the secondary. The secondary gives up soft penalties and the lack of pressure on the opposing team’s quarterback will make it tough in the playoffs. Lions win 34-2

Rams (-1.5) @ Seahawks: Sun. 2:25p

The Rams got back Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, which really helps the offense expand.

Instead of handing the ball off to Kyren Williams every other play. The Seahawks started out 3-0 and now are 4-4. So, for the Seahawks, this is a crucial game to stay in the conversation for division leader. Seahawks win 27-24

Colts @ Vikings (-5): Sun. 6:20p

This should be an interesting game. Colts quarterback, Anthony Richardson, was maybe the talk of the NFL this past week. And it was all due to him taking off a third down snap because he was tired after an athletic sack escape for no gain.

However, that creates major issues for a franchise. The team is supposed to look to you for leadership, and you want to take a play off?? In a divisional game that decides the leader of the AFC South?? Unbelievable.

Joe Flacco should play the rest of the season. You can’t be tired as a quarterback. Plus, his completion percentage is under 50%. This man needs to take accountability before he is out of the league. Vikings win 27-23

Buccaneers @ Chiefs (-8.5): Mon. 6:15p

This will be interesting to watch since the Buccaneers lost their two biggest weapons in Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. Evans will be back at some point, but for now Baker Mayfield will have to make do with Sterling Shepard and Jalen McMillian. The Chiefs are still the Chiefs even though some of their wins have been controversial and very close. Chiefs win 27-24

bye-week

...And one for the road:

Tanner's Record To Date is 67-54 😳
