Tanners Tumultuous NFL Picks – Week 11!

Tanner went 10-3 last week! πŸŽ‰ 🎈 🀯

We went 10-3 for Week 10!Β  The Giants lost to the Panthers in Germany, Yikes!

I picked the Bears, and they can’t do much on offense unfortunately.

And, the other matchup I missed was the Falcons losing to the broken-down Saints.

Marques Valdes-Scantling had two touchdowns and over 100 yards, a career day for him. Especially after he was not resigned by the Chiefs and then signed by the Bills and cut. The Bengals and Ravens game on Thursday night was crazy, Jamar Chase had another career night with 260+ yards and three touchdowns.

And what about that Lions versus Texans game?! Five interceptions from Jared Goff and they still won the game on a last second 52-yard field goal that just about squeezed through the upright.

Lastly, The Jets should just tank for better picks. Is Aaron Rodgers going to retire after this crappy season? Rodgers had 151 pass yards, and half of that was garbage time. You have Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson with two great running backs. Mike Williams was traded to the Steelers and caught the game-winning touchdown, when he did little to nothing on the Jets. The O-line struggles for every team that has a high-power offense on paper, has truly ruined their seasons (the Jets, and the Bears). Zach Wilson’s teams were better than this. The Jets defense is also not the top five defense it has been the last two years.

And, I am sorry Denver Broncos’ fans, that blocked field goal was upsetting.

commanders
eagles

Commanders @ Eagles (-3.5): Thurs. 6:15p – This is a massive NFC East top of the division game. The Commanders lost in a close game against the Steelers, and the Eagles dismantled the Cowgirls.

I think this game will be closer than the spread.Β

I think the Commanders win 27-25

packers
bears

Packers (-6.5) @ Bears: Sun. 11:00a – The Bears fired their Offensive Coordinator, Shane Waldron, and they fired the wrong guy!

They should have fired head coach, Matt Eberflus, for falling to 4-5 after starting 4-2.

The offense has fallen flat, and their defense can’t do much more. The offense hasn’t scored a touchdown on 20+ straight possessions! The Packers haven’t looked great in recent weeks but I think Jordan Love figures it out and they get back on track winning this NFC North matchupΒ

27-13 Packers

jaguars
lions

Jaguars @ Lions (-13): Sun. 11:00a – The Jags are finished so the Lions should destroy them. Even though Jared Goff threw five, yes five, interceptions last week in the Sunday night game versus the Texans, the Lions will get back on track. Goff won’t throw more than one interception each game for the rest of the regular season.Β

Lions win 30-17

vikings
titans

Vikings (-6) @ Titans: Sun. 11:00a – The Vikings are a potential playoff team, the Titans are maybe the worst team in the league. The Titans actually looked alright against the Chargers even though they lost by 10. Calvin Ridley had two great touchdowns, and the offense played alright.

The Vikings barely won their last game against the Jags 12-7. I think there is a chance this game is very similar.Β

Vikings win 17-10

raiders
dolphins

Raiders @ Dolphins (-7.5): Sun. 11:00a – The Dolphins have finally found their groove with Tua back, but is it too little too late? Realistically, the Dolphins would have to win out to have a chance at the playoffs. The Raiders are tanking for Shedeur Sanders, or whichever quarterback they like.

I honestly thought the Gardner Minshew experiment would be better than the production the field.

In Week 2, they beat the Ravens and look how good they are. Minshew had great spells with the Colts and Jags. It is

time for the Raiders to draft their first franchise quarterback since 2014 when they drafted Derek Carr in the second round.

Dolphins win 28-17

rams
patriots

Rams (-5) @ Patriots: Sun. 11:00a – The Patriots are not a team to take likely. Yes, their record isn’t great at 3-7, but they keep games close and 1st year head coach Jerrod Mayo has the team playing close ball games. The Rams are two games out of first place in their division, so losing to the Dolphins on Monday night limited their playoff hopes.

Rams win 23-20

browns
saints

Browns @ Saints (-1): Sun. 11:00a – Both of these teams are dead in the water. The Saints started out 2-0 and proceeded to lose seven straight. The Browns had high hopes, but Deshuan Watson’s abysmal play has left a talented roster to ask questions.

Browns win with Jameis coming back to New Orleans 24-19

colts
jets

Colts @ Jets (-4): Sun. 11:00a – Another two teams that have made the sports news recently. A team whose top five pick quarterback has been benched, and a loaded team with a Hall of Fame quarterback that is a deer in headlights.

What a disaster matchup!

I wouldn’t be surprised if Aaron Rodgers retired and I wouldn’t be surprised if Anthony Richardson is the starter next year and gets benched again.

The Jets’ offense isn’t consistent and their defense ahs fallen off.

The Colts and Joe Flacco win 23-17

ravens
steelers

Ravens (-3.5) @ Steelers: Sun. 11:00a – This will be an interesting game to decide the lead of the AFC North.

Both teams have had great stretches throughout the year. The Steelers sit at 7-2 and the Ravens 7-3. I think the Steelers are actually an all-around stronger team. They now have Mike Williams, another receiver to compliment George Pickens, and the Ravens just got Dionte Johnson who had one catch in his first game. The Ravens’ defense also let Jamar Chase run crazy on them next week and only beat the Bengals by 1.

Steelers win 27-24

falcons
broncos

Falcons @ Broncos (-2): Sun. 2:05p – The Falcons dropped a game against the depleted Saints. The Broncos’ loss to the Chiefs was very unfortunate, they should’ve won. The Broncos are on a little bit of a skid, but this game should determine if the Broncos can sneak into the playoffs.

The Falcons are in control of their division, but a win only helps their playoff position.

Broncos win 21-20

seahawks
49ers

Seahawks @ 49ers (-6.5): Sun. 2:25p – This game is a must-win for both teams. The Seahawks started out 3-0, and are now 4-5.

The 49ers have had a tough first half of the season, but they now have Christian McCaffery back, so they should start to play some better ball.

49ers win 30-2

chiefs
bills

Chiefs @ Buffalo (-2.5): Sun. 2:25p – A highly anticipated game between two of the top quarterbacks and teams. If the Bills’ offense scores 21+ points and the defense plays well, this shouldn’t be a game.

There is no way the Chiefs can keep winning these games by a touchdown or less, or even a blocked field goal. The one thing Broncos’ and Chargers’ fans can agree on is we hate the Chiefs and the Raiders.

I love the Bills’ team and with so many options on offense I think the Bills win 24-20

bengals
chargers

Bengals @ Chargers (-1.5): Sun. 6:20p – My beloved Chargers are 6-3 all because of Jim Harbaugh. The team lost their two best receivers and we are better.

The grit and grind philosophy Harbaugh has brought to the team is franchise changing. Running the ball with authority has given the Chargers the edge over some teams. The Bengals have to win this game to compete for a playoff spot. They have the Ravens and Steelers in the division who will most likely both make the playoffs.

The Bengals have had some tough losses, including starting 1-4. I think the Bengals’ offense plays well against the number one scoring defense in the league.

Bengals win a crucial primetime game, 24-19

texans
cowboys

Texans (-7.5) @ Cowboys: Mon. 6:15p – The battle of Texas should be a win for the Texans. Cooper Rush is a decent backup and Micah Parsons is back. The Texans will hopefully have Nico Collins back. If Collins is back, the Texans’ offense is the exact same as last year, plus Joe Mixon. I expect the Texans to win, the Cowboys are falling apart, so their confidence is low after losing to their NFC East rival the Eagles badly on their home field.

Texans win 28-17

Bye Weeks: The New York Giants, the Arizona Cardinals, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Carolina Panthers

Overall Record: 87-63
