Hey, yeah, John. Hey, I want to comment on NAPA along with you here. Yeah, I'm a huge NAPA person, too. I used to actually, when they used to be around, actually, I was... Probably more a CarQuest guy back in the day because I always had really good luck with CarQuest. But, you know, the thing I don't know, and I'm sure you know, but here's one thing I really like about Napa is, okay, so when we had bought this high-end Tucson, I had bought, we'd had it already had it about four or five years, but I went ahead and bought some, because I saw the prices of everything going up. So I went ahead and bought some brake rotors and brake pads and everything for it for later on down the road for changing my stuff out. And, of course, the car got totaled, so I still had these brand-new parts. So I went back to Napa and asked them if I could return them, and I was totally shocked. They didn't do a store credit. They actually paid me cash back on those parts.
SPEAKER 11 :
Nice. Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER 20 :
I don't know if you knew that or not, but I don't know if they do it on all parts, but they were completely unopened. You could tell they were still all brand new in the box. And they totally gave me my brand new prices back on those parts.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, that's pretty common, Jim. Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER 20 :
Yeah, I didn't realize that the parts places would even do something like that. And then, well, the other thing is also, which you haven't mentioned, I'm sure you know it as well, A lot of these Napa stores are independently owned.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 20 :
I don't know.
SPEAKER 11 :
It depends on where you're at. There's a push right now that Napa has in a lot of the metro areas to own more stores corporately, and you're going to see that transition over the next several years, Jim. But, yeah, in fact, this won't change. Most of your smaller towns and the outskirts of towns, you're going to find those being independently owned and operated. The trend now that Napa's pushing for corporately is they want to own the stores in the metro areas. Yep, you're exactly right.
SPEAKER 17 :
I was going to say in a smaller... Sorry, go ahead.
SPEAKER 20 :
Oh, I was going to say, one of the things that drives me crazy about the fact that all of these are independently owned, okay, well, I live out on the eastern plains, so we have one in Strasburg that does hydraulics, and then there's the one that's over on Havana. Of course, they own two of them, the one that's over on Chambers Road that does hydraulics hoses, too. And I'll tell you what, there's a huge difference in how those two stores, how they charge on their hydraulic hoses.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, and that's what corporately in the metro areas Napa's trying to consistently change, I guess you could say, or make the consistency better, Jim, is if they own all of the stores in the metro area, they can control better some of what you're talking about because... Number one, Napa stores that are not owned by the corporation are not a franchise. There's a marketing agreement between that Napa owner, that store owner, and Napa itself, Genuine Parts Company. Napa actually is a non-profit or a not-for-profit company. It's just a marketing arm of Genuine Parts Company. So there really is no franchise agreement inside of Napa. The store owner agrees to buy about 70% Napa product inside of his store. He can put in the other 30% however he or she wants to. But to build consistency in the metro areas, Napa corporate is trying to buy more and more stores in the big metro areas so that they can build that consistency, Jim.
SPEAKER 20 :
I tell you what, it'd be nice if they didn't because I have some hoses because I have farm equipment.
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, let me just give you a little tip here that we'll probably talk about in a month or so. Stay tuned.

Okay. And then the other thing I was going to ask is you're always talking about used cars and stuff. So I have a couple of vehicles, and they're in good shape. I told you earlier, I have a Ford Ranger. It's a four-wheel drive, five-speed. a real basic Ford Ranger, and then I also have another car, a Hyundai Sonata, and I'd like to get rid of both of them, because I don't really have no use for two, just my wife and I, and as we're getting older, I just don't need all these vehicles anymore. You know, other than just posting it online, is there any place, a really good place that buys used cars?
SPEAKER 11 :
As far as just buying outright, our recommendation is Ridgeline Auto Brokers. Josh and Justin, who are up in Boulder and Fort Collins, they'll buy used cars right from owners, drivers, et cetera. As far as somebody else looking to just buy cars, you'd have to go to your other channels outside of them, Jim, some of the other used car places that will just buy cars outright to resell.
SPEAKER 20 :
Okay. I mean, like I said, they're great. my car's always been taken real good care of, just like the way you talk about how you take care of cars. And, uh, so I don't, I don't want somebody to lowball me on my cars. I mean, they're not perfect cars because they are older cars, but at the same time, you know, I like to still get it halfway.
SPEAKER 11 :
Right. Yeah, man. Best thing on that is just give Justin or, or really Justin is in charge of the used car end of it at Ridgeline. Just give him a call and he'll help you out with that.
SPEAKER 20 :
Oh, okay. And now one more question here. So I have a, I have a trailer that I'll haul hay on.

And, uh, I need all the electrical on it to be redone. Do you have any good ideas for a good shop where I can take that trailer and have the electrical done on it?
SPEAKER 11 :
I don't, Jim, especially out east. I really don't. You know, the auto care centers that we have just don't have the facilities to do the trailer work and things like that. I will say this. That is something that you might have to haul it up. But, you know, Josh up in Boulder, they have the ability to do some of that. He may be willing to do that for you.
SPEAKER 20 :
Oh, I don't mind bringing him in.
SPEAKER 11 :
He would do that for you. Sure, he'd be worth a phone call for him, absolutely.

Last week I caught the tail end of you saying something because I was driving, listening to your show about a Chevrolet transmission. I have a 2019 three-quarter ton diesel Chevrolet pickup, and you were kind of saying they were having troubles with the transmission and there's a lawsuit going on.
SPEAKER 11 :
The half tons, yes.
SPEAKER 18 :
Oh, just the half tons?
SPEAKER 11 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 18 :
Okay. All right. So that takes care of that one. Okay. Are they having any troubles with the three-quarter tons?
SPEAKER 11 :
There's a recall coming out on three-quarter tons, but I think it's one year later than yours. I think it's 2020 to 2022 on some of the heavy-duty and certain light-duty trucks where there's a valve in the valve body that can wear. It can lock up the rear wheels. It's rare that it would ever happen, but there's going to be a recall on that, but that's not yours. You still have an Allison transmission in yours, so you really have nothing to worry about.
SPEAKER 18 :
I have an Allison on my 19.
SPEAKER 11 :
If it's a three-quarter ton diesel, that's an Allison, yes.
SPEAKER 18 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 11 :
Last year for the real Allison. They call them Allisons from 2020 on, but it's a transmission that was developed with GM by Allison. Allison allows them to use the branding of, but it is not an Allison transmission. Yours is.
SPEAKER 18 :
Okay. All right. All right, you've answered my questions.
SPEAKER 11 :
Thank you. No, thank you, Michael. Appreciate that. So, yeah, on a 2019, that is still an Allison, and you wouldn't have any issues or shouldn't have any issues on that. All right, let's see if Thorne's there. Thorne, go ahead.
SPEAKER 15 :
Hey, I'm sorry about that.
SPEAKER 11 :
That's okay.
SPEAKER 15 :
Go ahead, man. I've got a BG question. Sure. I've got a 2008 Dodge Ram Mega Cab with a 6.7 liter diesel. I'm about 2,000 miles short of 400K on it. I'm going to take a trip to the East Coast, 1,700 miles one way. I've been using BG products, and I ran the 244 in it about three months ago. But I'm wondering, I'm getting some blow-by whenever I hammer it, getting on the interstate, so I know that the EGR is probably full. And I've got some soot accumulation, but I'm still getting good oil sample analysis whenever I do a cat oil analysis every time I change the oil. I'm wondering, is there any use in me running – the trip to the East Coast is three tanks of fuel. Does it help to run a tank of BG-244 three times in a row as I fill up going east? Or is that overkill, or is there some other product that I should add to or supplement, you know, do one and then another and then another? What's the recommendation on a –
SPEAKER 08 :
high mileage engine like that that i want to try to clean up the top end at least how long ago was it that you use the 244 three months three months uh typically that's something you would use a couple times a year but uh and that one's not a common rail is it on 2008 it is a common rail you know what i would recommend doing is getting the 245 then because uh that's kind of what has displaced 244. 245 is a superior cleaner, but it also has the ability to overcome black fuel. Those common rails are under real high pressure. So a lot of that fuel goes through the fuel rail, but then gets returned to the tank if it doesn't go through the injector. So there's a lot of things that 245 can do that 244 does not. 244 is a good cleaner, and three months ago, it might be a little redundant, but I would definitely move to the 245. Are you using any kind of diesel fuel conditioner in between?
SPEAKER 15 :
No, not lately. Two or three years ago, but nothing recent.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, with removal of all the sulfur from the fuels, it's a good idea to use a... fuel conditioner you can find good all season ones or we we have a number of them it'd be good to go on the the bg website and look to see what suits you best because some have cetane improvers some are more lubricity some are you know, anti-gel. So, you know, look at your situation, but BG has a number of them. One that's kind of an all purpose that does a lot of these things would be the part number is P Paul David 14. That's a real good one. And you can, you just, a little quart will do 250 gallons of fuel. So you just put a little bit in each tank and that's going to project those, or that's going to protect those injectors because they're not cheap. so it's a good idea to take care of them.
SPEAKER 15 :
No, I would much rather invest in the preventive maintenance, and I'm a big believer in the BG line. I've been using it for years, so I'm more than willing on the run out there. Three tanks of fuel out, one tank running around, and then three tanks of fuel back. I'm more than willing to do two or three of the different fuel conditioners, one in each tank, and and rotate them. What are the other suggestions besides the PD-14?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, that would be, you know, if you're running 245 in your tank, then you don't need to do the 214 or the PD14. So it would be either or. And the 245 is much more expensive because you're using the whole cord in the tank. PD14 is just in between every tank. You said something about some blow-by. Are you talking about oil blow-by or you're consuming oil?
SPEAKER 15 :
No, I'm not consuming oil. In fact, I'm surprised with the mileage that it's not consuming oil. But if I jump on the interstate and I want to really hammer it, I get a big puff of smoke.
SPEAKER 08 :
You might try an EPR. Have you ever done an EPR in your diesel to clean up those ring landings so that your rings seal better? We typically see big boosts when they dyno these diesels after an EPR. We see a lot more torque at the wheels and compression boosts. And then I would always recommend doing some diesel oil conditioner too to help with the soot scatter. I'm assuming it's got a turbo, correct? Yeah. So you need to protect that turbo because the oil is really getting to work out.
SPEAKER 15 :
So educate me on that EPR.
SPEAKER 08 :
EPR is something you add to the old oil.
SPEAKER 11 :
Before the oil change.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, before the oil change, right before. At the same time, basically. You're not going to drive around. You're going to put it in the old oil, get it up to temperature, and then your vehicle is going to run for about 40 minutes with that in there at a slightly elevated idle temperature. And it's just going to go in there. There's nothing harmful in it. And it also has some phosphorus and zinc to protect the motor while it's in there. So you don't have to worry about washing a bearing or anything like that. Now, other cleaners, I can't vouch for it. We put extra lubrication in there to protect against that. And then when it comes out, it has an emulsifier. So it holds all that stuff. It cleans out. So it will drain out with the old oil. And then always putting...
SPEAKER 15 :
So I'm wanting to – I always change filter when I change oil. So you're saying do this literally right before the oil change.
SPEAKER 08 :
That's right. That's right. It's your first step on the oil change. Yep. Okay. And it has good instructions. If you turn the bottle around, there's a peel-up label. You just kind of use your fingernail, and you peel it up, and it will tell you exactly how to do it.
SPEAKER 15 :
And this is a BG product also?
SPEAKER 11 :
Yes, sir. EPR. Engine Performance Restoration is what that stands for. EPR. Yep. Awesome.
SPEAKER 15 :
All right. Well, you've given me some great ideas. I'm going to implement them and Is there anything else you'd suggest while I've got expertise on the line?
SPEAKER 08 :
Just fortifying the oil, diesel oil conditioner. We did a case study with Brinks several years ago. They went through about $96,000 worth of turbos. This is in the metro area. We got them using 245 and DOC, and they did zero turbos the next year. They spent about $3,000 on chemistry, but they saved $93,000. A lot. And time down.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 08 :

All right. Is there any particular product to protect that turbo?
SPEAKER 08 :
Diesel oil conditioner. Diesel oil conditioner, part number 11232. Got it. Okay.

I've got another question about BG. I was looking for BG on the Internet, and I found out this morning why I can't find it there. I ended up buying some Supercharged II, which I'm guessing is a knockoff, because I was looking for something for my small motors to put in the gas when the season we're not using them. We're around, and I've asked at our local Mapa store here in Cheyenne, they don't carry BGs. Who up in this area carries BGs?
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, you can go down to Fort Collins, Buck, but less in Cheyenne.
SPEAKER 08 :
We have a rep up there. His name is Scott Brown. You might. I'll ask him about that Napa in Cheyenne, why they don't carry it.

And Supercharged 2, by the way, is the current Supercharged, just so you know, Buck.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, Supercharged 2 is something I saw in a lot of motorsports and small motors. It's not as strong as 44K, but it does have a stabilizer in it.

That works very well, by the way. I use that in all of my cars that I park through the winters and so on. And, Buck, you've heard me say on air, my personal testimonial, I've had fuel go two years with Supercharged. Exactly.

But anyhow, I don't have any particular problems with it now, but I know they do have a, because of the injection system on them, they're prone to cut up the valves.

They can. They're direct injection. And so what we were talking about even earlier, Buck, that Les was mentioning with the EPR, he was talking to Thorne about that on his diesel. Same applies to you on your EcoBoost. So on yours especially, you want to do EPR every single oil change. And on yours, 5,000 mile most. 4,000 to 5,000 is where you want to be on the mileage.
SPEAKER 21 :
Okay, even within the infrastructure? Yes. I like the way it runs. It'll get to 100 so quick. Oh, no, they run well.
SPEAKER 11 :
Again, make sure I say this. I'm not against the EcoBoost. I just think a lot of folks that buy those aren't aware of the extra maintenance that they're going to do on that engine specifically versus some of the other counterparts that are out there. It's a great engine. It works fabulous. I just think a lot of folks have never been trained properly on how to maintain that engine, and unfortunately the dealers don't do a very good job of that either. That goes against the marketing ploy of low cost of ownership.
SPEAKER 08 :
There you go, Les. You have to clean those valves up. You've got to do the intake service because they coke up really badly.
SPEAKER 21 :
So this has got not quite 100,000 on it.
SPEAKER 08 :
It's definitely due for what Les just said. It's very dirty, I can tell you. I'm not psychic either.
SPEAKER 21 :
I might if it... Usually PR and first change.
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, that's another one where, Buck, honestly, if you get down to Fort Collins, go see Pat and his guys and get a full injection service done on that EcoBoost because, as Les just said, it's due, and Pat and his guys can do that for you. So you're going to come down, run down, and grab some BG product anyways. You need that service done, which you cannot do on your own. You have to have that professionally done. Have Pat and his guys do that for you. Would love to. they're in your old store up there on uh that's legacy that's legacy and ridgeline they can do it as well but pat's got two locations also and they all three work together very well so whatever you want to do buck but yeah they can all help you out absolutely where's where's pat's stores at then so right off of uh that same highway 14 and mulberry exit um we're about halfway to the napa store so we're like four blocks from the napa store there in north fort collins

Okay. The other thing, I got kind of a gripe. I'm not a big fan of corporate ownership of stuff. One of the reasons I traded our local Napa store practically all the time is because it's locally owned and I get really good service. And I have found through my numerous years of living that you generally get better service from something that is locally owned and something that's corporately owned.

That is typically the case. I'm not going to argue that buck at all. But consistency-wise, and this is what Napa's going after in the metro stores. Again, some of the outskirts stores, it won't change. It'll be independently owned and operated just like they've been for eons. But they're trying to build consistency. That's kind of the corporate mandate right now from Napa is they want to build consistency in the metro areas. Because in some areas, it's a hodgepodge. Even here in Denver, it's been a hodgepodge for years. You'll go to one store, it's corporate. You go to the next one down the road, and it'll be what we call a jobber store, independently operated store, and it's kind of been all over the map. Their goal is to make that more consistent.

Yep. Yeah, and they also, I will say, it's not uncommon, for example, if you see a McDonald's in Cheyenne, all three of the four of the McDonald's are owned by the same family.

Hey, guys. How's it going? Good. How are you? Good. Thanks for taking the call. I've got a 97 4Runner, and I'm having some problems with it. um i went up to glenwood springs recently and when i was driving up there it started misfiring on me so i brought it to a mechanic shop they put uh what they do spark plugs and or they did one spark plug on the misfiring cylinder and coil packs and then now it's been two three weeks and i'm having the same misfire code again same cylinder So I'm wondering, do you think it's fuel injectors? That's kind of what I'm thinking. I bought a set of fuel injectors. I'm going to try to do that. But I figured I'd pick your brain. How many miles?
SPEAKER 1 :
220.
SPEAKER 11 :
I mean, at 220, it's possible. I guess the question I would have is, you know, dumb question on my part, why one plug, not all six?
SPEAKER 16 :
I was just trying to get home, honestly. I was up in Glenwood. I'm down in Denver.
SPEAKER 11 :
And the next question, did they use the original factory plug or did they change up brands?
SPEAKER 16 :
It wasn't from Toyota, but they said I think it was Denso, so it was a good one.
SPEAKER 11 :
If it's a Denso, you should be okay. The key on spark plugs on all late model vehicles is for everybody listening, you've got to stay the same. If it had Denso, you can't run Champion, or if it had Champion, you can't run Autolite, and I can go down the list, but you've got to stay with exactly the same spark plug that it had originally, or you could end up with a misfire. Now, in your case, I would say you need to go ahead and change the other five. Is it possible it's got an injector that's misfiring? Sure. It's got the kind of mileage on it. Now, saying all that, this is more for Les. Les, what could he on his own buy from BG to help with some of the injector side?
SPEAKER 08 :
I mean, I would try to clean them. You never know how bad that injector could be. It could be when they get really carboned up, they can be just spraying a stream. Right.
SPEAKER 11 :
And that's not as combustible. Right. You want it atomized. Now, would you start with 44K, or what would you do on that, Les?
SPEAKER 08 :
That would be the easiest way to go. I mean, I've had a slight misfire when I was playing in my band, and I just put it in and went to a gig in Fort Collins and came back, and it smoothed out by the end of the night.
SPEAKER 11 :
Got it. So you might just try that, Adas, to start with before you do anything else. Just throw a can of 44K in it and see what it does.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, that's not a bad idea.
SPEAKER 11 :
I mean, you've got nothing to lose. I mean, cost of the 44K, which you've got to do it anyway, so you're really not losing anything.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, that's better than doing fuel injectors.
SPEAKER 03 :
Absolutely. Was the mist fixed before? So it was fixed for a little while, then it just kind of came back?
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, so it was fixed, and then it was only – I did a bunch of reading, and some other people had this problem. Whenever the engine's cold, it runs fine. But once it's warmed up, if I shut it off, let it sit for five minutes, start it back up warm, then it's just kind of rumbling. And it's been doing that for a couple weeks to where it just kind of rumbles and then it goes away. And then now last weekend it was throwing a code, a misfire code for cylinder one, which is the same cylinder as before.
SPEAKER 03 :
So I suppose the injector could be dripping. Yeah. The other thing that people seem to ignore, especially when you have 220,000 miles, is a valve adjust. You know, if your valves are getting tight, sometimes you can have a mysterious misfire.
SPEAKER 11 :
And I'll add one other thing, which goes back to the BG side, which we've talked about through the program today, do the EPR service on it as well. So I think before I did anything injector-wise, I'd do an EPR with the oil change, run the 44K through it, and see what happens. That sounds good.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, that's a good idea. I had one other thing that was going on, too. When I was doing that drive up to Glenwood before it started misfiring, I had like a full tank, but my gas light just started flickering. on me and so i was thinking maybe it's something with the fuel pump if cylinder one's the last one to get fuel maybe it's not pumping enough but i don't know if that's something unlikely not to and fuel pumps on toyota stone we don't do any of them yeah that's not as big of a deal probably i've done a dozen in my whole life yeah they're just not that common eight is okay that's probably more of a stuck float or something along those lines than it would be anything else Right on. Well, thank you for your help.

Good to know. That's where I get my MOA and my EPR for the trucks and my 44K. Okay. So question for the Napa guy.

BG guy, you mean, Les?
SPEAKER 22 :
Yes. Not the Napa, the BG guy. Somebody told me a while back, I don't remember who, that the best time to put a 44K treatment in is right before a road trip. where you're going to do a couple of hundred miles.
SPEAKER 08 :
I mean, it's a good idea, and you'll probably notice, but I don't think there's any priority on that.
SPEAKER 11 :
The biggest key to 44K is what you don't want to do. This is for everybody listening. If it's a car like mine where I have some I drive and some I don't drive, you don't want to put 44K and then just have it sit. you want to drive the vehicle after 44 K. Now driving doesn't mean highway. It could be around town. You want to run that tank of fuel out in it and you don't want to just sit in the garage. That's the key.
SPEAKER 08 :
You also, when you put it in, make sure that you're putting it into a full tank or that you fill up right after you do it.
SPEAKER 10 :
That's right.
SPEAKER 08 :
Because the, we, the platinum formula came out after the advent of the GDI and we had to strengthen the cleanup on that. So it's much stronger. In fact, uh, A lot of times when I do it, I will drive it down a half after I've filled it up and fill it up again because when we do the ASTM tests on the fuel, the titration, this titrates so far beyond it that it will clean for several tanks. Okay, good to know. Cool. So filling it up at half, you're just going to get more benefit. Because what we say is long, not strong. You want to treat for a long period of time, not a strong mixture. Good to know. Yep, that's really good.
SPEAKER 22 :
All right. John, I'm going on a road trip Thursday. That's why I'm asking. Okay. So what I always do when I put an additive in the fuel tank, no matter what it is, is I do it at the gas station and then top off the tank right away.
SPEAKER 11 :
Way to go. That's exactly how to do it.
SPEAKER 22 :
And that's the way I always – somebody told me years ago that helps mix it. It does. The fuel going into the tank.
SPEAKER 11 :
I mean, with you driving down the road, it'll mix anyways, but that's a really good way of doing it, John.
SPEAKER 22 :
Yeah. And, of course, I'll throw this out, top-tier fuel always.
SPEAKER 11 :
Absolutely.
SPEAKER 22 :
Absolutely. But I had a comment. I had a buddy, and he passed away. But any time he drove to Rapid City from Cheyenne, you have to go through lush Wyoming, right? I don't know if you've ever driven that road. No, sir. There's one little gas station in there, and he had to always stop. for a cheddar jalapeno corn dog.
SPEAKER 11 :

All right. That sounds pretty good. Yeah, it does, actually. Thank God there's a rest area about 40 miles up the road. Yeah, there you go. Yeah, exactly.

While it's thinking, I got it. Go ahead. I called last week about charging on my 2019 Ridgeline that I noticed with the little dial thing. I looked at it closer this week, and it's interesting. When it's cold, if it's idling in park, everything's charging just fine. When I put it into gear, either reverse or drive, that's when it drops. And I was wondering, reverse, there might be backup lights or something, but I was just wondering, does an electronic transmission maybe draw that much current on a cold alternator? Because I just noticed when I pulled up here that it was pretty much green no matter where I was.
SPEAKER 11 :
No, to your point, between some of the lights and what the valve body and that's doing, yeah, could very well, Jeff, absolutely. Lake County is serviced by White Halls Distributing as well. So it's the same.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay, super. Okay. And then on inflators real quick, I'm the kind of guy who doesn't remember to charge things. And if I need one, it's typically when I'm on the road and not in the shop. So I've gone to the... to the ones that you can plug into a cigarette lighter. Sure. Versus the rechargeable batteries. Sure. Terramost is one I bought, and I've had really good luck with that. That's like all of them, I think. Now you just kind of set it.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yep.
SPEAKER 19 :
Turn it on and forget about it.
SPEAKER 10 :
That's right.
SPEAKER 19 :
Yep. The one disadvantage of it is that I have a little air tank, and one of the first times I used it, I wanted to charge up that air tank, and it goes up to like 120 PSI. Mm-hmm. And... I won't say it was smoking then, but it got pretty warm.
SPEAKER 11 :
I was going to say you'll be there all day, and it gets hot.
SPEAKER 19 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 11 :
And, you know, really quick, we've got a couple minutes here, Jeff. That's a reminder, too, for those of you listening, even on the Milwaukee inflators. On a regular car, their little 12-volt one works fantastic. If you've got a truck with a larger tire, the 12-volt unit will still work, but it will work literally. I did a test on this the other day. So I took my regular truck, you know, my ZR2 half-ton truck, which has got, you know, full-size, I think, 18-inch tires on it. And I did a test. I went to pump up. I was down three pounds on each tire. I was 33. They're supposed to have 36. Light wasn't on, but I just knew from the gauge they were low. So I put the little inflator on one tire, the 12-volt. I got out my 18-volt inflator, and I'm not joking. I could do all three other tires in the same amount of time it took the 12-volt to do one tire.
SPEAKER 17 :
Interesting. And that's just air volume?
SPEAKER 11 :
Just amount of volume inside the compressor because the 18-volt just has a bigger compressor to push more air.
SPEAKER 19 :
Right. 18 volts has more power. That's right.
SPEAKER 11 :
So just for some of you that have maybe farm equipment, bigger tires, things like that, you may want to buy the 18-volt knowing what I just said. Yep.
SPEAKER 19 :
Right, and even these little ones, they're not meant to supplement a big air, or to replace a big air tank.
SPEAKER 11 :
They are not.
SPEAKER 19 :
Even for filling a small air tank. That's correct. I need to plug in the compressor, charge it up, and then charge the small tank. There you go. So they're not a panacea, but on the road, I tell you, it was a great deal. My granddaughter drives my sport truck right now, and... She had a tire low, and it was just wonderful to be able to pull that out.
