The Stand – Drones

Subject: DRONES

I hate war.

Do you?

What do you think about war and wars among nations, constant and never changing events in all of human history?

The mass destruction of human life and property, the world over, occurs in every war, large or small. The heart of mankind is deceitfully wicked and there will always be wars. That will never change. Only the way wars are waged will change.

I personally am against any weapon, any instrument of war which can kill and especially guns. What do you think about guns? But at the same time, I defend the right of any American citizen to own guns as the Constitution and the Second Amendment allows as a basic right of every American. But not for me.

I am old school and I believe in the Biblical admonitions:
THOU SHALT NOT KILL

I try, however difficult it may be, to follow that other and extremely Biblical admonition:
LOVE YOUR ENEMY

And then a third. When you are attacked:
TURN THE OTHER CHEEK.

Into today’s world where evil abounds, and war and violence are commonplace, it seems, to follow any of the three admonitions will result in death and frankly, I would rather not die, would you?

But again, what about wars? How should our beloved America react to a war-like world which constantly becomes more lethal, capable, and utterly destructive? What do we as Americans do to not only protect our great country and its nearing 400 billion people on the one hand and how do WE THE PEOPLE, America, conduct wars against other warring nations when necessary? What do you think about these two burning and critical issues which now face America and the world with disastrous, destructive results now more than ever?

We The People, all Americans, have no choice but to deal with these issues, make decisions and decide how we will protect and defend our great country, our families, friends and all citizens.

WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO DEAL WITH THESE ISSUES NOW MORE THAN EVER.

But, what will war be like in the future? How will war be waged and what are the new lethal means which can destroy literally billions of human beings? Our

great country is exposed to many threats including ballistic missiles, inter-continental ballistic missiles, which can be sent from thousands of miles away and deliver their lethal damage versus anywhere in the world. Then, to name some cruise missiles, spy blimps, long-range bombers with nuclear capability and the most interesting and newest lethal member of the military establishment:

DRONES.

Three decades ago, drones were playthings, toys, enjoyed by children. They flew around harmlessly. They could be controlled at the whim of a child. But today, drones have in many ways replaced artillery and have become an

incredibly lethal means as war is conducted. It is estimated that drones now inflict about 70% of the casualties in the Russia–Ukraine war as an example. In that war, and elsewhere in the world, there are literally millions of drones employed by militaristic nations, including and especially China and they can deliver unbelievable assaults, destruction and death in targeted and in many undetectable ways to any nation. Drones can be employed for hundreds, even thousands of miles of flying. They are often undetectable no matter how lethal and destructive the explosives they carry may be. Their technology is sophisticated, ever-improving and no human life of the attacking nation is involved.

Drones are the latest and most lethal weapons of war developed and compared to other means of war, very inexpensive. What is happening in the Ukraine-Russian war is indeed the future of war. One top Ukrainian military official said the following of drones:

“This is exactly what wars of the future will look like.”

Ukraine brilliantly smuggled explosive-carrying drones into Russian territory and 117 Ukrainian drones delivered an incredible military payload to the Russian air force in a military operation dubbed SPIDER WEB. The attacks hit 41 Russian aircraft inflicting billions of dollars upon the latest and most lethal aircraft Russia has ever developed. That damage was inflicted by 117 drones and not one Ukrainian life was lost. Drones are indeed, as that Ukrainian military official so well stated, the future of warfare. They are hard to identify, defend, and they can kill tens of thousands of people.

An American bipartisan congressional committee warned that the US needs far better integrated air and missile defenses and better protection, shelters, for the new B-21 bomber which the air force has developed, a terrible weapon of war and a hard look at the American military policy with regard to drones.

In our beloved country, the system for developing and acquiring drones by the U.S. military “remained deeply flawed, overly bureaucratic, and resistant to innovation.”

Other nations continue to develop this incredible technology and we lag behind, far behind. If drones become the new soldiers on the front line, America and its citizens are far behind, more exposed and more open to attack than ever before. WE THE PEOPLE, my fellow Americans, are accustomed to wars being fought far from home and only by volunteers. But in the next conflict which indeed will be worldwide, the United States will be on front lines. Every American citizen will be involved one way or another.

If the next war comes to your front door, how will you react? Will you defend, will you take up the gun and defend your spouse, children, family, loved ones, friends, neighbors and in fact do your best to defend all American citizens, will you? Can you stand by and watch them killed, your property destroyed, and your precious, free way of life ended, can you? What will you do if and when war comes to your front door.

EVERYONE IN THE U.S. WILL BE ON THE FRONT LINES OF THE NEXT CONFLICT, EVERYONE.

That means you and me, all of us, every American.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Ukraine did WE THE PEOPLE and all Americans a favor by destroying so many bombers of an aggressive American adversary. But even more importantly, Ukraine sent America a wake-up call about its own complacency and about the future of warfare dominated by drones. No matter what the woke generation says, America must invest far more in its military and in the far greater protection of:

THE LAND OF THE BRAVE AND THE FREE.

In all of human history, there is one constant, one thing that never changes and that is that there will always be:

WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS.

That means killings, death, destruction. That will never end until:

HE

comes again.

There will be no peace, no real peace, until the PRINCE OF PEACE comes the second time. Then, because of Him, swords will be turned into plowshares, hate will turn to love, and killing will turn to cooperation and brotherhood. May it be so, and soon. And so we who believe the Messiah say:

EVEN SO, COME LORD JESUS.
