President Volodomyr Zelenskyy has arrived at the White House for negotiations with President Trump.  Analysts expect the two to discuss mineral rights, and President Trump is using their minerals as a way to offset the aid that we have sent (and will send) to Ukraine.

This is an agreement that will allow the U.S. to recoup some of the investment we’ve made, but also allow us margin to assist with the rebuilding of Ukraine as the conflict comes to a close.

An agreement such as this will also be a deterrent to President Putin of Russia to mind where he sends his own troops in, since there will be Americans there to assist in the mineral mining operations.  The two had discussed sending a peacekeeping force into the country, however President Trump seems less than enthusiastic about the prospect of sending in military in any capacity.
