SPEAKER 07 :
This is Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 04 :
You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
SPEAKER 07 :
With your host, John Rush.
SPEAKER 15 :
My advice to you is to do what your parents did! Get a job, Turk! You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same, and there’s a big difference!
SPEAKER 10 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 02 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
SPEAKER 16 :
It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush.
SPEAKER 03 :
Filling in is Andy Pate, party of choice. And I’m your host, Andy Pate, filling in for John Rush today. And I am joined by Rachel Main. And she’s here from where? I am here from, well, KLTT. KLTT. What do you do at KLTT?
SPEAKER 08 :
I’m the ops manager. So I can make sure that you run everything. I do what Charlie does, but he’s everybody we look up to. You know, he’s the guy that we all ask questions and he has all the answers.
SPEAKER 03 :
He’s my Yoda.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, he’s definitely for everybody. I think here he is.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, tell people just a little bit about KLTT. Where can they find it? What’s it about?
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah. AM670KLTT. You can go to 670KLTT.com to learn more. And it’s Christian Talk.
SPEAKER 03 :
Christian Talk.
SPEAKER 08 :
So we are a sister station here. Four stations here. And we have so many great stations and so many great people to work with.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, because Rachel is here today, I’m going to be talking not just about politics, as I always do, because that’s what I do, okay? But we’re also going to be talking a little about Christianity. And what we’re really going to be talking about is the He Gets Us movement. And those, you know, the Super Bowl ads, I don’t know if you’ve seen them. But we’re going to be talking about those, and I’ll just tell you right out, folks, I don’t like them. So we’ll be really getting into that in the second half of the hour. But first, I want to hit some of the news. Are you ready, Rachel?
SPEAKER 08 :
I think I’m ready. I think Meadow’s ready.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes, we have a co-host, a co-co-host in the studio, the real star of the show, Little Meadow. What kind of dog is Meadow?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, she’s a terrier and she’s a mini. So she is a Yorkie terrier and she’s a mini. So she’ll be all of five pounds as an adult. So right now she’s 4.4 pounds.
SPEAKER 03 :
And she is basically the studio mascot.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Meadow is adorable.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, she’s a support animal for all of us. And her job description is to make people smile.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right.
SPEAKER 08 :
And just be cute.
SPEAKER 03 :
And folks, Meadow has a microphone. So if you hear growling, it’s not my tummy. It is Meadow, the star of the show. OK, let’s get into some of the headlines over the weekend. There are a lot, everything about Trump, but everything he does is a headline. Let’s do some other stuff first. First of all, my home state of Wisconsin has decided the governor is proposing to replace mother. in state law with inseminated person.
SPEAKER 08 :
What?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes. Hey, it’s a Democrat, okay? And let’s see, also changing paternity to parentage, whatever, and father to parent, because we’ve got to get men out. You know, paternity, that’s too male, right? So just parentage. And father to parent in certain parts of state law, okay? What do you think of that?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, you know, all this stuff is getting so confusing and the whole the gender and how we have to, you know, they are, you know, all that. I just think it’s too confusing. I think we just ignore it. And I think now with Trump, I’d like to see some of this stuff kind of rolled back.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I would, too. By the way, the Green Bay Packers will now be the Green Bay football carrying persons. And I think that’s really good. You know, instead of the dairy state, Wisconsin will now be the cow byproduct state, which rolls right off the tongue. Doesn’t it? It does. I’m very proud of it. I believe that my old pal Dan, he lives in Minnesota. Minnesota and Wisconsin, they need to combine into one great state called Minnesota.
SPEAKER 08 :
I like that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Because their governor, of course, was Kamala’s VP candidate. So Minnesota next to Wisconsin. Right now, those two states are gobbling up all the stupid for the entire country. California needed a break. Okay. Up next is Hooters. The popular restaurant is filing for bankruptcy, which begs, of course, the question, where am I going to work? I mean, no, seriously, Rachel, how can they let all this talent go to waste?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, yeah, you know, hey, don’t give up. Don’t give up. That’s what I say, Andy.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, you’ve actually done modeling, right?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, I’m in a talent agency, Big Fish. And hey, you could join the agency.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, Charlie, pick yourself up. He’s laughing kind of hard in there. Okay. Okay. They’re filing for bankruptcy, and the big reason is, of course, just costs, cost overruns. Look, this is actually true of all restaurants out there. They are operating on such tight margins, and a lot of the problem was COVID. And you had all these policies that were put in in COVID, and each restaurant has had to decide, how many of these are we going to relax? And the more you relax… The better it is. But some of them that, let’s just say, hold on to them a little bit, their costs are just too high and they’re not making the buck. And also all the costs of their food costs, everything, it’s through the roof.
SPEAKER 08 :
Don’t you think we’re turning that around, though?
SPEAKER 03 :
We are.
SPEAKER 08 :
It’s going to take a while. I realize you get the ship kind of turned around. It doesn’t happen quickly.
SPEAKER 03 :
Exactly. This is like turning around a barge, not a canoe. And, you know, I laugh at these people who look at Trump and say, well, you know, you’ve been in office a whole month. Why are things still expensive? That’s right, Meadow. Meadow’s upset, too.
SPEAKER 08 :
She has an opinion. And, you know, she is a Republican.
SPEAKER 03 :
Meadow is a very Republican dog. That’s why she’s very angry when she hears about inflation. You know, these people who look at Trump and say, why haven’t you turned it around? Folks… You without doing direct price controls, which become a disaster. OK, you have to let the market work. And the only things you can do is boost supply. Well, that takes time. You can’t boost supply. He doesn’t literally wave a wand to boost supply. He has to loosen regulations. He has to bring in new deals. And he does that. But that’s going to take a little time. It won’t take that long. And of course, you got to make energy cheaper, which he’s doing now. But that’s not going to happen overnight. In the meantime, you’re going to look at places like Hooters and they’re going to struggle.
SPEAKER 09 :
Right.
SPEAKER 03 :
So that’s bad news. Next. Let’s see. There was a protest held in favor of California’s high-speed rail, which is in danger right now with Trump looking at it and saying, we have spent $17 billion. You’ve been sent $17 billion, I believe it is, for this thing. You haven’t built any rail.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, that’s… I don’t know much about that, but I did hear nothing has been done, correct?
SPEAKER 03 :
Right. Yeah, that’s terrible. So they had a whole dozen protesters rallying for California’s high-speed rail, which I just want to say is 12 more than those who have ridden California’s high-speed rail. So, you know, folks, high-speed rail is a joke. And if you look at high-speed rail anywhere, and by the way, even if you look here in Denver, I know everybody loves light rail. Light rail. Light rail, light rail. And the one good thing about it is it can alleviate some of the parking issues downtown. I get that. Okay. But if you simply look at the number of the people who use it versus the cost, first of all, and secondly, versus the number of people who use every lane, any lane of I-25 going into town. It’s embarrassing. Yeah, it is embarrassing.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
OK, we are getting virtually nothing out of this. We’re wasting money. High speed rail is a joke. OK, next, Pam Bondi. She has the Epstein list.
SPEAKER 08 :
Love her.
SPEAKER 03 :
I do love her desk. Is she magnificent or what?
SPEAKER 08 :
His his whole crew is just wow. Amazing.
SPEAKER 03 :
They are flat out the best, I mean, the best group I’ve ever seen. They are absolutely, starting with his VP. And then, you know, Elon, of course. And all the way down, all of them are fantastic. In the next segment, we’re going to be talking about Dan Bongino, who’s just joined the FBI. I want to talk about that in the next segment. But first of all, back to Pam Bondi. She has the Epstein list. There were hundreds of names on it, apparently. But Doge, they got in, they cut it to five. OK. And just the most essential members are left. And Bill Clinton made the cut. Of course.
SPEAKER 08 :
We all knew that. We don’t need them to release to know that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right. OK. Doge didn’t actually cut their numbers, but it’s going to be volcanic when that’s released. What do you expect? I mean, do you think this is going to be really bad?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, yeah, I would suspect for sure. I think some of them may be shock for some of the people, you know, that were like, wow.
SPEAKER 03 :
Bottom line, folks, we’re talking about underage prostitution here. Okay. Terrible. Yeah. Okay. So I don’t know. I think that’s going to go really bad now. That brings us to Dan Bongino. In the next segment, Dan Bongino, folks, is moving to the FBI as the deputy director. Amen. I love this guy. I’m a big Dan Bongino fan. I’ve been part of the Bongino army for years now. I’m excited. But in the next segment, I want to talk about, well, what difference is this going to make for Kash Patel? Sound good? Sounds great. Okay, up next is Golden Eagle Financial. God. Country. Reason. Now back to John Rush.
SPEAKER 03 :
And welcome back to Rush to Reason. Denver’s Afternoon Rush. KLC 560. Andy Pate filling in for John Rush along with Rachel Main from… KLTT AM 670.
SPEAKER 08 :
That’s right. Yeah, right across the hallway. And definitely tune in. It’s great Christian talk. So… We have some great programming like Jack Hibbs. We know he’s a friend of the Republican Party, and he’s spoken at Congress, I believe, Jack Hibbs. Oh, yeah. Yeah, so great programming. Aaron Budgen, Living God Ministries. Just go to our website, 670KLTT.com. And I’ve got to mention that Andy’s been on my show, Corner Cafe.
SPEAKER 03 :
I have.
SPEAKER 08 :
And I love when we talk about evolution and science. I just, you know.
SPEAKER 03 :
And you survived it.
SPEAKER 08 :
I survived it. You’re doing much better.
SPEAKER 03 :
The twitching has stopped.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, you know, when I went to college, that’s when I started twitching, when they were teaching me evolution. But on certain occasions, I did stick up and ask the professor, like, hey, what about this and that? And on a couple occasions, I got him to kind of backtrack.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, in the next segment, we’re going to start talking about He Gets Us and basically really getting into, okay, a lot of people don’t like He Gets Us. We’ll talk about some good reasons why. But how are Christians supposed to? operate in this society what are some good things that we can do maybe some things we can avoid and i think he gets us gets us gives us really good ideas of what to avoid yeah which is kind of good and meadow has an opinion meadow has a big opinion on this okay dan bongino do you like dan bongino i do i love dan yeah i’ve seen him on tv i’ve always thought wow this guy is really intelligent i like his personality i like his worldview he’s perfect he is awesome dan bongino of course worked with the secret service he’s been a cop he’s been he’s been in law enforcement for a long time now he is a very wealthy man and that’s why this is interesting he has built an empire really a media empire the bongino report which i go to every day to look for my news ever since the drudge report went hard left i went to the bongino report okay And Dan Bongino also has a terrific podcast, which will be ending after about three more shows. He is having to give all this up. And I’m telling you, he’s having to give up some real income. OK, Dan Bongino makes a lot of money doing what he does. He is giving up a ton of income so that he can go be the deputy director of the FBI under Kash Patel.
SPEAKER 09 :
Amazing.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, amazing. And I guess my first question, before we even talk about him at the FBI, who replaces him? I mean, that’s an empire. That’s when Rush Limbaugh passed away. You know, we all wondered, okay, who’s going to replace him? Now, Dan would be the first to say he’s not on the level of Rush Limbaugh because nobody has been, okay? But he would say… you know who’s going to fill in he was even talking about that hey some people who need to step up he was talking about on a show this morning and my question is who will step up i know we don’t know yeah but what it can’t be somebody who’s going to try to mimic him that’s not going to work you got to be your own unique person
SPEAKER 08 :
I know he has good connections. He knows good peeps, you know, and I’m just thankful that all these amazing people are just stepping up to volunteer.
SPEAKER 09 :
Right.
SPEAKER 08 :
To help the United States of America out. All Trump’s team, you know, a lot of them are giving up a lot to do this.
SPEAKER 03 :
I agree. Well, really quick here. What what really gets me excited about him going to the FBI is this. I have been a manager at theaters. I’ve been a manager in casinos. I have managed departments. I’ve managed 16 plexes. I have managed big, small, whatever, a lot of things in between. And one thing I’ve really experienced is what it’s like to go in as the only guy. The only person going into an organization or department that totally needs to be cleaned up, a place that has a terrible reputation, a place that is bad. Okay, so you think, okay, I’ll go in there. That’s easy. I’m following a bad and easy act to follow. I’ll just go in. The problem is everybody who’s there hates organizations. that you’re coming in because they have all benefited from it being bad. They have all benefited tremendously. They’ve gotten lots of hours more than they’ve had to work. They’ve had it easy. They’ve gotten every benefit in the book. They have no discipline. They have no standards. They don’t have to do anything. And I’m not saying they’re all terrible employees. You’ll also have some that are wonderful, which makes it even harder because now you’ve got to weed out the good from the bad. You can’t just go in and swing the ax, right? That’s ridiculous. Right. Look, when you go in, it is an incredibly lonely feeling. I’m sure. It is incredibly lonely. And for you to have a number two who is absolutely not 99 percent, but 100 percent on board with what you are doing in cleaning out the riffraff, it means everything. I think this is for Kash Patel. What do you think?
SPEAKER 08 :
I think that’s a great assessment. I think that you need to have a team behind you and a person with you to help you to just be the guy that’s Giving you confidence, too. And he has a lot of experience, Dan Bongino. I don’t know as much about him as you do. But he’s perfect for this role.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, his knowledge of intel and police work is tremendous. Not just that he’s done it for years, but he’s also been a commentator, an expert on it for years. He knows it inside and out. But the thing is, is that Cash knows this guy’s got his back. He knows my number two. There is no degree of separation between us on anything. We are one. I would have loved to have not been alone going into a number of those situations. It is a living hell going in to clean up a bad situation. And your bosses say, well, you’re following an easy act. You don’t understand. These people are going to make every claim in the book against you. They’re going to say that you were this unfair. If you say hello, you know… It doesn’t matter what you do. They’ll say you were rude. They will say that, you know, they’re just going to say anything. They’re going to lie. They’re going to cheat. They’re going to steal. They’re going to do a lot of terrible things, especially after what we’ve seen in the FBI. And they’re going to aim it all at getting you, Kash Patel, fired.
SPEAKER 08 :
Right.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. You need Dan Boncino. I think it’s phenomenal.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, I think it’s amazing. I think all the decisions that Trump has made with his team is… you know, excellent and I wouldn’t have expected anything less. And I’m excited to get this new team rolling. I just wish we had more than four years.
SPEAKER 03 :
I know me too. Well, you know what? I really think Vance will probably be our next candidate. Maybe DeSantis, maybe a ticket. I think we’re going to win again. I think we got more than four. That’s my prediction. Okay. I think we got a minimum of eight. Just saying.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, I, I hope so. And I, I see the tides turning that way too, just with the common sense that, you know, everyone’s saying, Hey, we’re going back to common sense as a society. Yeah. And especially since how the Democrats are acting right now, they’re not learning their lesson of what the majority of people want.
SPEAKER 03 :
When they get together and do these little chants and things, what they basically are are advertisements for the Republican Party. It’s beautiful. I want to send them money, but then I don’t. On the line is someone who I think knows a thing or two about this. John from Cheyenne. John, what do you think of Dan Bongino and Kash Patel?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, as a son of a… New York City detective. He’s a graduate at NYPD Police Academy, so that’s a one-up right there. He knows how to be a cop before anything else. Yeah. Because you don’t survive on the NYPD if you don’t know how to be a good cop.
SPEAKER 03 :
You know what he reminds me of really quick here, John? Bruce Willis from Die Hard. John McClane. Kind of.
SPEAKER 06 :
But here’s what I’m seeing with Cash Patel and now Bongino. Yeah. And, you know, It’s me and you, so you know there’s a movie reference here. Remember when Patton took over in North Africa and what he did when he first took the army over?
SPEAKER 03 :
You mean against Rommel?
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. What did he do when he first took over after they were defeated?
SPEAKER 03 :
I do not remember. I’m sorry.
SPEAKER 06 :
Too long ago. He walked in. He saw it. He goes, this unit doesn’t look like soldiers. They don’t act like soldiers. So why would you expect them to fight like soldiers? And he reinstilled discipline. And that’s what I believe Cash and the FBI and Dan Modina are going to do. They’re going to instill discipline, mission, stop with all the politics. But my favorite thing was Kash Patel sending all those people out of D.C. last week. But that was last week.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, but John, let me ask you, and by the way, I applauded that too, but do you worry at all that, well, then it’s harder to keep an eye on them when they’re far… By the way, 100 million percent I agree with the decision. They needed to get out in the field.
SPEAKER 06 :
I just worry, you know… Think about it. Here’s this woke guy getting sent to, oh, we’ll just use Cheyenne. Okay. Not the… Well, he’s not being sent to be in charge in Cheyenne. He’s being sent to work here. And I’m sure the special agent in charge in Cheyenne is not the same as some woke guy in D.C. I’m thinking he’s more, you know, down to earth. And a lot of these small towns and small states that are more conservative… These guys are coming in and going to have to deal with a whole new set of rules.
SPEAKER 03 :
Do you think Dan Bongino will help in overseeing them? I think he’ll be traveling a lot. I really do.
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, yeah. I think they both will. The other thing is I had a question, and you covered this with Bongino. I heard that you submitted your resume to take for his show.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, sure. Yeah. Yeah. I’m sure I’m next in line.
SPEAKER 06 :
You don’t have the skill to do 15 hours a week?
SPEAKER 03 :
No. I don’t have the skill to do 15 minutes of Dan Bongino.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, I’m impressed. You’re doing today. You’re probably going to do again tomorrow, aren’t you? Yes, I am.
SPEAKER 03 :
I’ll be back tomorrow.
SPEAKER 06 :
Two days in a row, Andy. You’re getting up there.
SPEAKER 03 :
I know, but I’m not going to have Little Meadow here tomorrow.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, you could borrow her.
SPEAKER 03 :
I just don’t know how we’re going to do the show without Meadow. It doesn’t seem the same anymore.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know what, Andy? I’ll take the day off and bring Colt down.
SPEAKER 17 :
How big is Colt? He’s a 100-pound Great Pyrenees. Oh, jeez. I can just imagine a Great Pyrenees rampaging around in this little, oh, my gosh.
SPEAKER 06 :
I would actually enjoy that. They’re very calm dogs. They were livestock guardians, so unless you were a wolf or a coyote or a mountain lion, They pretty much are mellow. I mean, he’d come up and lay his head on your lap.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, I guess that’s okay. Of course, his head probably weighs 50 pounds. That’d be a lot of weight.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, about 20. Andy, you have a great rest of the day.
SPEAKER 03 :
John, you do the same. Thank you, sir. Oh, my gosh. That’s funny.
SPEAKER 08 :
We need to get that dog in the studio.
SPEAKER 03 :
We need to get that dog in the studio, but then Meadow might get eaten. I’m not sure. Yes, she would. She’s yawning now.
SPEAKER 08 :
The head weighs more than her. She’s going to be a total of five pounds as an adult.
SPEAKER 03 :

SPEAKER 07 :
The best export we have is Common Sense. You’re listening to Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 03 :
And welcome back to Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560, Andy Pate filling in for John Rush, along with Rachel Main of… KLTT AM670. That’s right, KLTT, our sister station.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yes, Christian Talk, we have some great programming, and I’m sure a lot of the listeners know about Jack Hibbs, he’s on our station.
SPEAKER 03 :
The door… leading to your office is literally one foot from the door leading into KLC. So we are definitely sister stations. Hey, before we jump into He Gets Us, let’s listen to Jason from Fort Lupton. Jason, what do you have for us? Hello, Jason.
SPEAKER 05 :
Listen, or at least I haven’t heard you talk about it yet. The real value of Dan Bongino and Cash Patel is not just that they’re 100% aligned, But one is like a scalpel, hash. The other is a hammer. Oh, yeah. Don Gino will take no garbage from anyone. And if you listen, as you said, you listen to him, he’s very, very passionate. I mean, he will not let go. He still brings up the January 6th pipe bomber. And he’s right. He has a rod up his… for… what has happened at the FBI. And now he’s got a platform and the power to do something about something he’s been passionate about for five or six years. And he will not take anything from anyone.
SPEAKER 03 :
Jason, let me say a couple things here really quick here. First of all, I hope that Bongino goes after the January 6th pipe bomber because I believe there is a huge story behind that. A huge story. Yeah, because that was used almost certainly as a diversion to draw cops away from the action. And I would love to see them get to the bottom of that. I think there’s a very good chance they know who it is. It’s probably an inside job. That’s what he believes. Next, I want to just quote him right now. Cutesy time is over. What do you think?
SPEAKER 05 :
Absolutely. Yeah. He will not take anything. It’s not a game to him. Like you said, he’s giving up millions. And his organization was starting to grow. He had a show. He was bringing on another show. He was going to turn Bongino Inc. into a full-on 24 or at least 12-hour news coverage on Rumble. Right. He’s giving up an empire, building something similar to what, I can’t think of his name, the morning guy on one of the competitor stations. Glenn Beck? Yeah, Glenn Beck. Hey! Building up something like him or what Ben Shapiro built. Right. He was headed there.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, I think Bongino’s already bigger than Shapiro, but I know what you mean. Look, here’s what I see with Bongino and Patel, of course, but I’m going to talk about Bongino. Jason, he wants law and order back. I believe that the Democrats have taken law and order and made it utterly lawless. It is simply they have churned the FBI, you know, DHS. They have churned. um these entities into nothing but you know entities arms of the democrat party okay so basically they’ve weaponized them and take taken your tax dollars and use them to target all political enemies and he’s made very clear he’s not going in there to target back he is going in there to take away targeting He is going in there. Now, there are things that look that they did that were very wrong that have to be investigated. There’s no way around it. You just mentioned one, the pipe bomber. OK, but he has made it very clear his goal. And I was listening to him this morning, Jason. His goal is to take all bias. out and to turn this into law and order again because when you take law and order and use it as a political weapon for one side the country becomes lawless and he says we need law and order back and for him this isn’t a job it’s a crusade go ahead i’ll give you the last word and to just build on what you’re saying he often has a saying that republicans are not the solution to your problem but democrats are the cause of your problem and what what i’m
SPEAKER 05 :
facing off on that. He is not political. He’s ideological on the Constitution. The Constitution is the Constitution. Right is wrong on Tuesday. Right is right on Tuesday. It’s still right on Wednesday. He does not care if you’re left or you’re right. If you’re breaking the law, if you’re weaponizing the system, he will shut you down.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, he’s basically a law and order Mark Levin or John Rush, actually. Yeah.
SPEAKER 05 :
He would prosecute Donald Trump if Donald Trump crossed the line.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yep. In a heartbeat. He would do it without hesitation. And that’s the beauty of it. Jason, thank you so much. You’re getting me even more excited about Dan Bongino. I didn’t know I could get more excited. You did it. The only thing I’m not excited about is now I can’t listen to him every day. I know. I’m so mad about that. I listen to his pod at least four times a week. I walk my dogs to Dan every day. Why does Dan not care about me and you, Jason? Why does he only care about the rest of the country? I mean, we have meant a lot to him. It’s very selfish. very heartbreaking it’s almost like a divorce i know jason thank you so much sir okay take care okay this is gonna that was just too valuable i had to talk and by the way if anybody else wants to call in talk about dan bongino or trump or anything 303-477-5600 We’re going to be talking about He Gets Us, but I can tell it’s probably going to have to go into the next hour anyway. So let’s just get started. Sound good? Sounds great. Okay. For those who have not seen it, and I think pretty much everybody has, I can’t play it because it’s just music. It’s TV. It’s not good for radio. So I got to basically say what it does. All right. What is He Gets Us? It’s an ad campaign. It costs $100 million. It is pre-evangelism. It’s designed to connect with our culture, showing a Jesus who is all-accepting, never condemning, and offering no absolute truths or standards. Now, that’s not being too harsh. That’s being honest. Have you seen it?
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, vaguely. I mean, I haven’t really paid much attention, but I’m curious, who is behind He Gets Us? Who are the organizations behind it?
SPEAKER 03 :
Just a bunch of wealthy people. I would have to go into listing them. I think Hobby Lobby.
SPEAKER 08 :
Hobby Lobby, okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
Which is interesting because Hobby Lobby, I’m really surprised.
SPEAKER 08 :
That they would support that.
SPEAKER 03 :
They would support something like this. He Gets Us, I think, is a horrifying thing. Okay, I think it’s as anti-biblical and anti-scriptural as you can get. And for those who don’t know, I do have a degree in the ministry. It is kind of my thing. And of course, Rachel runs a Christian news station. Okay. You know what it reminds me of, though? And I’m going to play a little clip here. And this is actually George Carlin. And he’s talking in the movie Dogma. And they’ve decided, the Catholic Church has decided, and Dogma is totally not a Christian movie at all. Okay, it’s the opposite. And they’ve decided to go away from the old crucifix look at Jesus and usher in a new way to look at Jesus. Here we go.
SPEAKER 14 :
Ladies and gentlemen, the driving force behind Catholicism WOW, Cardinal Glick.
SPEAKER 03 :
Let me skip ahead.
SPEAKER 02 :
For example, the crucifix. While it has been a time-honored symbol of our faith, Holy Mother Church has decided to retire this highly recognizable yet wholly depressing image of our Lord crucified. Christ didn’t come to earth to give us the willies. He came to help us out. He was a booster. And it’s with that take on our Lord in mind that we come up with a new, more inspiring sigil. So it is with great pleasure that I present you with the first of many revamps the Catholicism Wow campaign will unveil over the next year. I give you the Buddy Christ. Buddy Christ.
SPEAKER 08 :
Buddy Christ, oh no. So what’s the symbol?
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, now just so you know, it’s a statue of Jesus winking at you, pointing out, and with a thumbs up.
SPEAKER 08 :
Oh, no.
SPEAKER 03 :
And with a big smile, and it’s Buddy Christ. And Buddy Christ, to me, is one of the funnier things I’ve actually seen. This is a pretty funny movie, Dogma was, but it just blew my mind how accurate it was. And what they were doing is actually making fun of what the church has largely become.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
We’re trying to sell Buddy Christ. Right. He gets us as Buddy Christ. OK. Moreover, let me go into it some more. What else does he gets us? It’s heavily political. Last year, they showed white men and cops washing feet of all sorts of liberal groups. None in reverse. OK, so you didn’t see anybody else in the reverse. And by the way, to say they took foot washing out of context. is an understatement of truly historic proportion i won’t even go into it don’t have time but they really butchered it this year they use good deeds to define true greatness You know, it would be really great, okay? And it was a shot against MAGA, all right? And what it is is pure left-wing politics, you know, with Christian rhetoric over the top of it. Christianese, right, yeah. Christianese over the top of it. Now, instead of sharing any messages on truth, sin, or repentance, he gets us, spends all its time depicting what they believe to be conservative Christians in a negative light. Those bad pro-lifers, they depict them very negatively politically. They point at us. Oh, yeah. Pastors who preach against homosexuality. Oh, they’re terrible. They’re preaching the truth, folks. The Bible is against homosexuality. Sorry. It is. OK. And by the way, there are scientific reasons for that, which I won’t go into. Don’t have time. Rather than point people upward, he gets us points a finger at all the conservative Christians that they don’t like and bashes them. And that’s what he gets us is really about. You can just see in all the depictions they’re doing this on purpose. You know, and they end with a white guy washing the feet at one point of a black gay man and so forth. It’s all acceptance for unbelievers, no repentance or rejection of sin. I mean, when does it say, you know what? Don’t be gay. That’s actually bad for you. Okay. Or don’t reject Christ. That’s actually bad for you. Here’s the amazing thing. They spend $100 million without one single word. And not only in their ads, but on their website. Not one single word saying why Jesus is true.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, they don’t have the gospel.
SPEAKER 03 :
It’s a different gospel. Yes. Yeah. They don’t have one single word saying why Jesus is actually true.
SPEAKER 09 :
Right.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. You might want to be able to say, you know, if you’re doing evangelism, if you’re selling a product. You know, let’s take it out of the Christian. By the way, if you’re an atheist listening to this, this is going to make sense to you in just a moment. OK, it’s going to make a lot of sense to you because it’s the buddy Christ thing. If you’re selling a car, aren’t you at least going to be able to try to tell the customer why this car is better than the other ones? Oh, yeah, absolutely. Yeah. These these people won’t even do that much. OK, he’s not even better. All right. They depict all other kinds of religions and they’re all the same. Everything is the same. And if I was, as you know, I was raised as an atheist. I was, you know, one of these intellectual atheists. I would be looking at these people and basically saying this. And by the way, I was looking at a lot of the church and saying this. This is actually infecting an awful lot of modern day Christianity. Right. And a lot of people out there right now look at the church and say, it’s not for me, it’s not for me. Look, I don’t blame you.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, yeah, there’s nothing different about it. Go ahead. There’s nothing different. And still, how can you make yourself a better person versus the opposite way, which is Christ, when we receive him, he makes us a better person.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right. This is a self-improvement program. Let me ask you something. Do you need Jesus for a self-improvement program? No. No. Oh, you don’t? Oh, my goodness. We’ll get into that.
SPEAKER 08 :
Because it’s about self. Yes. Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
We’ll get into that in the next… Christianity is a self-abandonment program, just so you know, folks. But let me… Here’s how I would feel. I think this is incredibly insulting to unbelievers. I think this looks at unbelievers and says, you need to be stupid. I’m serious. Because it comes to them and says it doesn’t provide one single solitary word showing why it’s true. Why Jesus is true. Why any of it’s true. Why the Bible is reliable. Anything. It’s that he gets you. He relates to you. He connects with you.
SPEAKER 08 :
But that’s not their motive if they believe that all religions are the same. Right. Which they do.
SPEAKER 03 :
They basically do. If I were an unbeliever looking at this, I’d be saying this. Let me get this straight. You want me to worship a 2,100-year-old martyr because you’re active in my community? I mean, think about that for a moment, how stupid that sounds. You want me to volunteer for a morally restrictive lifestyle because you’re nice to me? You want me to choose your faith over others when you can’t offer a single word showing your faith to be true? I mean, who came up with this approach? Is this the dumbest thing you’ve ever heard? I mean, John and I, we talk a lot about sales, you know, just in the business world, sales. Is this the dumbest sales pitch you’ve ever heard?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, maybe the motive is just to try to make the Christians who do believe in the Bible and believe Jesus is the way feel bad. So it’s more of a pointing the finger at the real Christians. Maybe that’s the point. She said they insult.
SPEAKER 03 :
Bingo.
SPEAKER 08 :
That’s the point.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, I think you nailed it, Rachel. I think what he gets us, the whole point of he gets us is really to attack the real church. Right. And mock the real church. And pushing a thing called, by the way, pre-evangelism. Now, I know a lot of people will get into this over the course of the show. Because what we’re going to take a look at is good deeds here in the next segment. Why do we do them? And we’ll look at it at the beginning of the next hour. Because a lot of people, well, they say, well, yeah, but good deeds, they ease people in. They’ll get them. You do good deeds and you get people to listen more to the message.
SPEAKER 08 :
I disagree.
SPEAKER 03 :
I know. We’ll talk about that in the next, you know, we’ll talk about that going forward. But they say you basically nice people into Jesus.
SPEAKER 15 :
No.
SPEAKER 03 :
The moment people hear me say that, they think, well, what do you want to be? Mean? No.
SPEAKER 08 :
Convicting. Yes.
SPEAKER 03 :
Tell the truth. How about honest? Honest. You’ve seen me around people. Am I mean? No. I’m nice to everybody. I am. I’m one of these upbeat. You are. Yeah, I am. I like people. Do I care if they’re gay, straight, old, young, male, female, black, white? It doesn’t make any difference to me, does it?
SPEAKER 08 :
No.
SPEAKER 03 :
No, I don’t. I love all people. Or a puppy. Yeah. Even a little puppy who wants to take over the show and be the star. You know, I don’t care. I love all people, but that doesn’t mean I love your future. OK, and that doesn’t mean I don’t believe in what I believe. Here’s the thing. If you can’t if you can’t offer any reasons why. That Jesus is actually true. And take that. Take Jesus aside. How about the Republican Party? If you can’t offer any reasons that your party is actually true, but all you can do is attack Democrats. Right.
SPEAKER 08 :
You know, I think you got the problem with the Democratic Party right now. They don’t have a real foundation or argument. They’re just attacking their everything that Trump’s doing. That’s their platform.
SPEAKER 03 :
Their whole product has been hate Trump now for, what, eight, ten, I don’t know how many years. And now that Trump is ushered in, they don’t have a product. John and I were talking about this a couple weeks ago. The Democrat Party is sitting there without a product. Right now, I believe the church has rendered itself without a product. And it’s led by people like He Gets Us. And we’ll talk a little bit more about it after the break. Sound good? Up next is Cub Creek Heating and Air. SPEAKER 07 :
Now back to Rush to Reason on KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 03 :
And welcome back to Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560, Andy Pate filling in for John Rush, along with Rachel Main of… AM670KLTT. That’s right. Okay, now, really quick here, just want to take a couple minutes, and I want to ask you a couple questions, because here’s the big thing. People say… But they’re talking about doing good deeds. They’re talking about doing good things. Is it bad to give a hug to a gay person? No. In fact, is it bad to feed somebody? No. Look, good deeds are good. That’s why we call them good. I’m not anti-good deeds, but the question is twofold. First of all, what should come first, message or deeds? And secondly, what is the purpose of good deeds? We’ll talk about that in the next hour. We have to keep something in mind. Why were we left here on this planet? And you wonder, what do you mean? Well, we’re born again Christians, right? We have eternity with Christ, right? He could right now zap us away to heaven and remove all memory of us. He doesn’t have to leave us here. Okay, no more Andy, no more Rachel, no more Charlie, no more whatever. And the world goes on. Why did he leave us here? Was it to fix the world? No. Okay. Reverse the curse? No.
SPEAKER 09 :
No.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. Why are we left here? We’ve got to keep in mind this world is aging and dying just like we are. Right. He left us here for one reason. See, all people deserve to live eternity without him, including you and me.
SPEAKER 09 :
Right.
SPEAKER 03 :
We do. He left us here to be a second chance for everyone around us, to offer them the message. So the question is, what do we offer them first? We only have two things to offer, our message and our deeds, the things we do, what we say and what we do. It’s all we have to offer. He gets us, says, lead with what you do. Lead with deeds first evangelism. That’s what it says. So let me ask you something. How many religions can offer the truth of the gospel?
SPEAKER 08 :
Only one.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right. OK. How many can offer good deeds? All. All. Oh, OK. So if we lead with good deeds, do we offer one way, one truth and one life? Do we look like the narrow gate or the wide gate? Right. Well, I mean, do we look like all the other religions or do we still look like Christianity if we lead with what they can all offer? Go.
SPEAKER 08 :
Exactly. Well, that’s the thing. It’s very apparent that they don’t know what the gospel is because Jesus preached that exact opposite, that nobody is good, no, not one.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right.
SPEAKER 08 :
I’m the only one, God, who is good. And on your behalf, no, not one of you who is good, I will die for your sins.
SPEAKER 03 :
We’re all sinning, falling short of the glory of God, Romans 3, 23. Yeah, go.
SPEAKER 08 :
So the whole point is that nobody deserves… Heaven, only Christ is worthy. No one’s like God. Only one is like God.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, so really quick here. We got 30 seconds. And we got next hour, okay? Jesus is the narrow way. Right. Okay, he said, I am the truth, the way, the life. No one comes to the Father but through me. It’s called absolutism.
SPEAKER 09 :
Right.
SPEAKER 03 :
And he says, enter through the narrow gate for life. Enter through the wide gate, which is many paths, many ideas, right?
SPEAKER 11 :
Wide is the path.
SPEAKER 03 :
And what does that lead to? Destruction. Right. Okay. The wide gate leads to destruction. So if we come out and lead with deeds first and truth either second or never, because let’s face it, they never defend truth, right? If we do that, where are we leading them?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, to hell, to the wide path.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, we’re leading them to destruction. We’re certainly leading them not to be with God, and that is a very, very big mistake. We’re going to talk about more of this because it’s so great to have you here.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, I love being here. I love talking.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, it’s such a great opportunity. Well, that’s it for our number one, folks, and our number two. We’re going to talk some more about this. We’re also going to talk about education reform in America, and we’re going to talk to Richard Rush about some sports. That’s going to be great. Until then, keep it right here on Rush to Reason, KLC 560.
SPEAKER 04 :
Average Guys.
SPEAKER 09 :
Ordinary Average Guys.
