3-24-2025: An Interview Where He Talks About Some of His Missions- In Honor of Fred Wiese

Welcome to the America’s Veterans Stories podcast. Kim Monson is your host. WWII B-17 bomber pilot Fred Wiese recently passed on. He flew 35 missions over Europe. We are rebroadcasting an interview with Wiese where he talked about some of his missions. Wiese shared his thoughts about Curtis, his co-pilot, who after 30 missions together piloted his own bomber. On Curtis’ 32nd mission, his plane was probably hit by flak and went down. Even after all these years, Fred asked the question, “Why do good guys go down?” _________________________________________________ Copyright 2023: America’s Veteran’s Stories Visit us at www.americasveteransstories.com America’s
