SPEAKER 04 :
This is the Dana Show. My name is Craig Collins filling in again with you. Glad to be here. You can find Dana everywhere. DLash or DanaLashRadio on X on Twitter is a great way to stay connected. Look at what’s happened. One day after I popped on this show before and now all these tariffs are essentially suspended or at least reduced to 10% on most countries. President Trump saying this is because a lot of countries were begging to talk to us pleading, saying, please, please let us be at the front of the table in any kind of negotiation. And then China being the only country that’s like, we still want to fight. And now we’re fighting China even harder. I have so much audio to get to, so many things to play for you of, you know, experts and people talking about this. But I just thought it was so fascinating. And I wonder if this is the same for you. In my everyday life, hear people walking by me talking about tariffs or family members, friends asking me questions about tariffs and the up and down of the stock market. And all of this is essentially creating that negotiation that Trump, that President Trump wanted all along. And he has everyday people talking about this stuff. How often in your regular life did you talk about tariffs positively or negatively before any of this started happening? Probably not that often. I know Trump has done this before, at least with China. I know that Obama has done this before with China. And there’s even viral audio of Obama bragging about how great tariffs are at combating the Chinese government and all the different things they do to us. But here, I’ll start with this audio. This is Kevin O’Leary. He popped up on MSNBC, and he made fun of an MSNBC host a talking head for the crazy stuff he’s saying about how, you know, a trade war with China has to unilaterally be bad for the United States. And he also said a lot of the things that are in fact the problem with why somebody, anybody, Republican, Democrat, didn’t matter to O’Leary, really needed to stand up and fight them.
SPEAKER 19 :
This morning. Hey, Kevin, what’s your reaction to this now? I guess when they went over the math, it’s not 125%, it’s 145% the U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods.
SPEAKER 21 :
I’ve been an advocate for raising it to 400% in one move to force Xi to the table because this narrative with China is not just about tariffs. Since China joined the WTO, in 2020 or it’s it’s actually 2000 they have not abided by the rules in any single year there is no way you can figure out or settle a trade dispute with them although they said they’d agree to do that they never did they have been constantly stealing american ip including many from my companies we have not been able by the way one of the most um harmful things
SPEAKER 04 :
that occurs is Chinese companies just copying our products, copying everything that the United States creates and selling it cheaper back to us along with to the rest of the world. So that is, in fact, a problem that we need to have a way to resolve. And this is a fight Democrats and Republicans have been having for a while with China. But continue, Mr. O’Leary.
SPEAKER 21 :
in the united states i can’t do the same in china so i’m just one hand i put up my hand i was testifying yesterday at the china hearings in washington and i said i’ve had enough and i expect you lawmakers and the administration to finally go to task and settle this once and for all do something
SPEAKER 04 :
is essentially what he’s saying there. Because the truth is, and as is demonstrated in that answer, it doesn’t even matter what China signs. It doesn’t matter if they’re like, World Trade Organization, fine. We’ll follow your rules. And then they don’t do that at all. Even the World Health Organization, if people remember this, Something that China was pumping tons of money into when they wanted to investigate covid. And there were rules that said that they were allowed to do that. China said, no, we’re not going to follow those rules that we agreed to. So you do have to force them to, you know, understand that we will take real action. We won’t just continue to wag the finger and say things out loud. By the way, that never works. It hasn’t worked for any of the other things the Democrats typically do it for, whether it’s the border and we’re not going to close it down. We’re going to tell you not to cross it, darn it. And you’re going to listen. Otherwise, we’re a paper tiger who does nothing. Trump is far from a paper tiger. And that is something that is valuable about this president. I also thought this was interesting that there was a poll recently that asked the average American what they thought of tariffs in the short term. Almost everybody hates it. Almost everyone. I think it was, you know, 80 something percent and even 40 something percent of Republicans. They believed it was going to harm the economy. But in the long term, a whole lot of people said, you know, it might actually be good. It might actually be valuable for us to have a trade war, to have fights with friends and foes who take advantage of us financially in order to try to push more money back into the United States. Something that’s slowly been changing for many, many years. And it made me think about one other thing. As much as all this back and forth stuff was happening, at the very beginning of President Biden’s term, he decided to wage a war on oil and gas. How did that go for us as a country? How did that go for you, for me, for gas prices in general? It went horribly. It went terribly. And it was during the recovery from COVID and all of that. And at the time, I remember on a couple different places I was on radio saying that this was the wrong time for a fight if you ever wanted to have one. And I personally would never want to have one against energy. That’s, to me, a very stupid fight to be had for a tremendous amount of reasons. But now, even as we see increased amounts of prices on things and inflation going up and down, at least getting a little better recently, you ask yourself, is now the right time for a war on trade? And the only reason that I would change my mind on this has nothing to do with Republican or Democrat, but it has to do with the long-term value of the fight. In the world of fighting against oil and gas, that was terrible for us. That was never going to wind up to be a positive. And forcing people to buy electric vehicles also was something that did not work and wasn’t going to work at all and might still happen at some point in the future. But all of those things were just ridiculous. And essentially, the longer you looked at a timeline of that decision making, the worse it got. When you look at the decision-making here, it gets better and better for the average American the longer we go. Most people see that, and especially after the suspension of most of these tariffs or the reduction of them for most countries, it immediately hit the stock market in a positive way. So it is interesting whether the narrative is that Trump, you know, gave in and people on the right, on the left, wherever, forced him to go ahead and acknowledge a 90 day pause, which I don’t necessarily believe. I kind of think this was the plan all along. Whatever it might be, the threat of this stuff is actually working. All right. A couple other quick things. Before I take a break that I thought were pretty interesting. And actually, no, I’ll play this too. This is one more tariff thing, and then I will move on from it. Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan apparently is a fan of the tariffs, which is hilarious. A person who oftentimes hates anything and everything about President Trump did say this the other day.
SPEAKER 29 :
I understand the motivation behind the tariffs. And I can tell you, here’s where President Trump and I do agree. We do need to make more stuff in America.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah we do.
SPEAKER 29 :
More cars and ships.
SPEAKER 04 :
We do.
SPEAKER 29 :
More steel and ships. We do need fair trade.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, we need all that. Yes, that’s the entire point, by the way. If you try to jump in and say, and here’s where I disagree with him, now you’re making up things that aren’t part of the discussion. Now it’s no longer part of the point. But thank you, even Whitmer, for jumping in and saying that she agrees. Yes, there was audio after that where she says all these negatives, and I just don’t care about them. Let me play this. This is CNN. They did a town hall with Bernie Sanders yesterday. And I really enjoyed, I didn’t watch the town hall, but I really enjoyed this moment going viral online. And I’ll tell you why in just a second, but here we go.
SPEAKER 16 :
We’re back with Senator Bernie Sanders. I want to introduce Grace Thomas. She’s a local civil rights attorney. She’s a Democrat, right?
SPEAKER 04 :
say them pronouns actually thank you oh it’s they them pronouns darn it uh thank you and all anderson cooper does is say oh and then she moves on from it but i love this because doesn’t that now mean that cnn is hateful doesn’t that now mean that anderson cooper is hateful aren’t those the rules in the world of the woke is that if you do something for any reason that goes against the grain of the woke ideology or the woke rules of the day You have to be a horrible, hating, you know, monster of a person. I thought that was the rules. I’m sure they’re going to forgive Anderson for not knowing that he was supposed to say they them to a person that he looked at and said her to. I’m sure that that’s going to change for some and not others. But I just love that this moment was viral and a bunch of people, I think, more on the right than the left were kind of laughing about it. than the left being all up in arms about it. But if this happened on Fox News, they’d be angry. They’d be incredibly angry and they’d be calling for the heads of people all over the place, regardless of if they actually would get them, which hopefully they would not. All right. One last thing. I do want to play this. Not tariff related at all either, but just interesting to me. Tim Walls gave a speech at the Minnesota Capitol building the other day in front of a bunch of veterans. And Tim Walls is someone that a whole lot of veterans do not like because of his stolen valor. uh… claims and all the things that he’s done where essentially even ran away from potentially being in a conflict situation i while he was serving in uh… the national guard all of this matters and all of this definitely matters to heroes who actually stand up and fight for our country and absolutely do not claim to do something that they never did stolen valor uh… the worst of the sins i think within the community uh… this was amazing to watch these guys boo and heckle him. I can’t play all of this. Let me play a little bit. I know this audio is not great, but I’ll play a little bit of the beginning where they just booed him relentlessly. I love that he keeps saying thank you all as there’s just a merciless amount of booze coming from everybody in there. And he’s like, thank you guys. You’re so great for this. And then later, and I think this was even captured on local television, ABC 5 in the area on this and some of the stuff they were yelling out in St. Paul. Welcome to the Capitol. You’re a coward, was one of the things they yelled. And he’s just like, welcome to the Capitol. Things are great. I love that he was actually also praised. This is the last thing I’ll say about it. By the broken news media for being nice to veterans who were standing there and booing him. Because if he had done anything else… Everyone in society would turn on him. Of course, you respect the voices of those heroes, those individuals who are mad at you. It doesn’t give you any level of, you know, brownie points that you listened as they heckled and screamed at you and then tried to ignore them. But actually, mainstream media tried to celebrate walls for being able to hear the criticism. which is, in fact, insane. It almost belittles the criticism itself and just turns it into, look at how great Walls is for letting people boo him for something that they absolutely have a right to boo him for. But again, what was he going to do? Actually start yelling at them to shut up? In that world, I hope he’s impeached immediately because that would be horrific to most everyone, not just along party lines. All right, let’s take a break. A lot coming up. Craig Collins filling in on The Dana Show.

And now, all of the news you would probably miss. It’s time for Dana’s Quick Five.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s right. It’s time for a quick five on the Dana Show. My name is Craig Collins filling in. D-Lash, Dana Lash Radio. Great ways to stay connected to her. Researchers at Harvard Medical School have discovered something that I imagine we actually have known about for quite some time. I’m guessing that this is not brand new science like they’re presenting it to us as. But they’re saying that there’s something that goes on in the brain of individuals with, quote, mental health disorders that sometimes turns them into intense political behaviorist type of people, people who will do violent protesting, civil disobedience, aggressive expression of political views, et cetera, et cetera. Apparently, we found a link. And something in the brain that demonstrates the likelihood of this happening. Again, I feel like this is something that probably the darker parts of Washington have known about for quite some time. And some of our scientists are just now finally letting us know about. But there’s now data and proof that your craziness might turn you into someone who’s, well, insane in politics. Especially, I would imagine, on the left with some of the angry leftists. who also very much claim to be the nicest people you’ll ever meet, and then scream and yell at you for all varieties of things. All right, other stuff out there. Having a pet makes you as happy as having an extra $90,000 a year, according to a brand new study. I don’t know how they got to exactly this number. Researchers in England essentially asked people what your pet was worth to you, and somehow they landed on a number about $90,000 a year. This is for a married couple. So $45,000 a person is what you think your pet is actually worth. Pretty surprising, but darn it to a lot of people, probably exactly accurate. I wonder how much other things in your life are worth to you compared to sweet, sweet money. Would you give up the cell phone for $90,000? I imagine the answer is also no. Other stories out there that I thought were interesting for Quick Five. Bad background music at work can tank your employees’ moods, even if the job’s not that bad and if the bosses aren’t jerks like you have at some places. If everything’s great, but then the music behind you is crappy, it might make you just as upset as anything else going wrong in the workplace. This is not remotely surprising. And actually, I remember being in a surf store that I don’t want to name in Florida and talking to someone about the background music. And they were saying that they had nightmares about it because it was constantly on a loop for their job. I thought that was amazing. All right. One last one. And we’ll probably get to this audio a little bit later on in the show. But it is pretty great. A 911 call was made in Georgia, in Savannah, Georgia. And the guy says that during the call, he heard the dispatcher order McDonald’s. This is a real thing that happened earlier this month. This is a big complaint about a lot of places who are doing all kinds of things to make 911 or certain services not as beneficial as they used to be. But there’s actually audio. of someone answering the phone saying, okay, we’ll help you out with your issue, and then also, can I get a McGriddle, please? It’s crazy, and it’s going viral now, a couple weeks after it happened. All right, quick break, a lot coming up. This is Craig Collins filling in on The Dana Show.

SPEAKER 10 :
Democrats now insist they have a huge momentum shift after those special elections turned out pretty much like we thought they would. President Trump has the audacity to claim he should be able to decide who works for him. And Trump makes the media look like Wile E. Coyote again over comments about a third term. SPEAKER 04 :
This is the Dana show. My name is Craig Collins filling in. Thrilled to be with you. Bunch of stuff out there to cover. Let’s play this audio first. This is CNN admitting that prices have gone down for the first time in a long time. Here, I’ll let them tell you.
SPEAKER 12 :
Consumer prices month over month. So this was actually a drop. of 0.1%, negative 0.1%. That’s the first time we’ve seen that since COVID. Year over year, the annual inflation rate was at 2.4%. This was also better than expected and a six month low moving in the right direction. As far as why this happened, there’s a few drivers.
SPEAKER 04 :
One- President Trump is probably what they should say. That would be valuable, at least as an answer to this. And most Americans would probably credit him for this, not because of all the discussions about tariffs or what’s happening with the stock market recently, even though that might wind up being a net win for America in the coming months, coming days, even yesterday seemed pretty good for a lot of people. But there’s other reasons that we might think this. What does CNN say?
SPEAKER 12 :
that really played a role here as you can see the trend here the inflation rate dipping a little bit one of the drivers was energy uh the fact that gasoline prices crazy move up like they usually do in the month of march that really helped the inflation you know what’s crazy about that
SPEAKER 04 :
is anyone who is yelling and screaming that Biden’s war on energy and Biden, when he was campaigning to be president, saying that he would go after oil and gas companies being a horrible thing for our economy. And then I love my favorite other part of this before I move on to something else. is all the times that media tells us that presidents have nothing to do with the cost of things, that they can’t impact the cost of gas or any of that stuff the way that we as stupid, silly Americans think that the guy in charge of our country can. And they’ll probably say that again as prices start to go down to discredit Trump for anything happening. But we actually see it occur in society. We see the plan on one side going after this specific industry being horrible for us, and the plan on the other side not going after that industry but trying to enhance it being great for us. This is a very obvious moment where presidential policy specifically actually has a tremendous impact on our society and our economy, and yet they’ll deny that tooth and nail forever. All right. I do like this, too, by the way. This is a quick thing. Scott Jennings, CNN, probably one of the only people on CNN that conservatives enjoy to listen to, mostly because he’s in there fighting the good fight. He’s sitting being attacked by three or four people at a time most days on television. But this back and forth went viral and you’ll be able to tell why very quickly.
SPEAKER 25 :
You want to engage in personal insults?
SPEAKER 04 :
I don’t, but you do.
SPEAKER 25 :
What you lack in a legitimate point, you make up for in personal insults. The point I am making is in this new world order, we are looking at countries, whether or not they’re an adversary or ally, it is being determined on what kind of deal we can get. And we cannot govern. We cannot legislate that way. We are increasingly isolated on the world stage.
SPEAKER 04 :
I love both of those. Not the you do this, not me stuff at the beginning, but the why that he asks when we can’t govern based on getting better deals as far as trade goes with both allies and enemies or just anyone in the world. Why can’t we do that again is the question because it’s going to be bad for us. is what they’ll tell you. You know the amount of people that were terrified that the whole tariff war was going to impact us immediately was only because of media? I’m not saying that a trade war wouldn’t inevitably raise prices somewhat for some amount of time, although if good trade deals are made and businesses here in the United States make more money, either sending more product out that we create here in the United States or just selling it here to our own country, whatever it might be, yeah, the economy might get better and things might actually improve for all of us. But there might be pain in the beginning. But I love the fact that right after the announcement, before they even take place, you have people walking around like, have you seen the prices of stuff? And the prices had not changed yet. In fact, actually, prices went down a little bit, according to the data I just played from CNN. But it’s that belief that, that things are as they’re represented to you in media, as opposed to the reality of what you’re actually seeing. It always shocks me. I wonder if it shocks you to the amount of people in your life who will walk around and tell you what’s going on, not based on seeing it, not based on experiencing it, but being told that it’s there and then not going and looking because that should be the first step for all of us. And I don’t care what side of the political aisle it’s on, the right or the left. If you’re told something’s happening before you go tell all your friends that this terrible thing is happening, you should make sure that it actually is. And more importantly, I feel like I’m now jumping up on a soapbox and preaching. But more importantly, is it happening to you? Whatever that might be, when you yell and scream about the things in society that you think are unfair and terrible, do you have any sort of experience that backs up that claim? Or do you just believe it because someone else told you it’s true no matter who they are, no matter what reasons they had for saying it? I find a lot of that to be amusing, too. All right. Something else out there. that I like, and this is also a tariff-related thing. I don’t know why so much of the news cycle right now is focused on this one issue, but darn it, that’s how the news cycle works when most of media wants to hate President Trump enough that they’ll look for anything and everything to attack him on, so it becomes the only thing people talk about. But this was pretty great. This was the White House press secretary yesterday dropping a bomb, if that’s what you want to call it. I think that’s what they called it on social media, on our actual media outlets about how they’ve discussed so many of these things and how ridiculous it is and how they obviously don’t understand the end result. of having all the countries in the world basically calling us and begging for better trade deals so we don’t have tariffs that harm them more than treating us more fairly actually would. Here’s a little bit of Levitt dunking on all of media in front of her.
SPEAKER 27 :
Many of you in the media clearly missed the art of the deal. You clearly failed to see what President Trump is doing here. You tried to say that the rest of the world would be moved closer to China when in fact we’ve seen the opposite effect. The entire world is calling the United States of America not China, because they need our markets, they need our consumers, and they need this president in the Oval Office to talk to them. And that’s exactly why more than 75 countries have called, because the United States of America is the best place in the world to do business. And as the president has shown great courage, as the secretary has said, in choosing to retaliate against China even higher.
SPEAKER 04 :
baby is what she’s saying there and why that’s good one last thing about this and then I will actually try to move on to something else and it’s just a simple question and it’s one you can ask yourself or you can ask friends relatives whoever is crapping all over these policies no matter what we do here in the United States Do you think we’d ever create a system that’s as unfair to the rest of the world as China’s is? China’s system isn’t just unfair to the United States. It’s unfair to everybody they do business with. It’s insanely unfair. It’s insanely, you know, one-sided, that relationship. So being afraid that all of these other countries are going to turn to China and away from the United States, a country that’s been allowing us to get raw deals from a lot of these countries and now just want fair deals, I will never push as far as the Communist Republic of China to do things that insanely overvalue and, you know, essentially harm all the people we’re doing business with, but overvalue ourselves to a degree that makes no sense whatsoever. where you’re allowed to sue a company in the United States if you’re a Chinese company, but we’re not allowed to sue you there if you do something that’s unfair to us. It’s crazy. No matter what Trump does, I don’t think it is possible, and I mean this as candidly as I can say it, to get anywhere near the level of unfairness that China has with the rest of the world, and we all know that. our powers that be. President Trump knows that. China knows that. So as they fight us and desperately try to claw back the tremendous amount of money that they make off of our economy and they make off of our citizens buying their stuff, they need to remember that we’ll never, ever act the way they do, no matter how much more we try to get something that we think is simply fair. But again, that’s just something that I think that you could have that conversation and with an everyday person in your life, whether they hate or love Republicans, Trump, whoever, and they’d be like, yeah, you’re probably right about that. And that matters more than anything else. All right. Other things out there that I saw that I thought was interesting. Maryland has quietly unplugged their EV mandate. It cited President Trump and automaker concerns about this. You’re going to see a lot of this. You’re going to see a lot of places say, you know that thing we were claiming we were going to do a few years ago? We’re not going to do it anymore because it’s not really in our interest. And more importantly, it’s not in the interest of Americans. We’re not going to be forced to buy something because you told us to buy it. We’re just going to resist that as much as we can, as long as we can. I’m going to keep buying my awesome vehicle that runs on gasoline that doesn’t, you know, go to crap if it gets too cold outside, which you see viral photos of that all the time during unique cold snaps like in Chicago, where all of a sudden nobody can charge a Tesla and they have lines backed up and people just have bricks outside their houses for a few days. We don’t want that. We want things that work. all the time and that would be the sweet sweet gasoline-powered vehicle that I have right now and I imagine most of you have. You can’t just transform something because you demand it so. They’re learning that, they’re realizing that when they lose elections and now they’re quietly unplugging these programs and as I said we’ll probably see more and more of this and it’ll be good for all involved and it’s obviously the kind of thing that many Americans regardless of your political party want And I do think this is crazy. I debated mentioning this in this discussion, in this topic. But I’m going to bring it up. The amount of people who are now anti-Tesla because of politics. You know, a few years ago, before Elon Musk even dips his toe in any of these things, Tesla is a, you know, favorite of the world of the left. And EVs are a favorite of the world of the left. All those things. The only thing that has turned the corner there is believing that Elon Musk and Tesla are too closely tied together. So you want to mess up your ridiculously expensive vehicle, which makes no sense to me whatsoever. It makes no sense to most people. But that might also be a reason that people are giving in now the insanity of political motivation, as opposed to someone thinking that they wanted to buy an electric vehicle because it was supposed to be better for our society. If you’re someone that thought that the world was going to be safer or going to be healthier if you drove around in an electric car instead of a gas-powered vehicle, why all of a sudden, if Elon Musk is pro-Donald Trump, pro-Republicans, do you now not care about that? is now not that world. It’s no longer at all important to you because darn it, that guy said something nice about the man that I hate. I think that’s hilarious. I think that oftentimes these things that people claim to be passionate about are so easily demonstrated to just be absolute crap. in their own minds and it’s something completely different that’s motivating them to act the way they do because those beliefs are only held so tightly when some sort of problem is at your feet or even lack thereof being directly at your feet. But I digress. We’ll take a break on that. We’ll come back with something sillier. This is Craig Collins filling in on The Dana Show.
SPEAKER 37 :

SPEAKER 04 :
This is the Dana Show. My name is Craig Collins filling in. Thrilled to be with you. The Masters is going on right now. The usual names are jumping to the top of the leaderboard. That part is unsurprising to maybe a lot of people, anyone that follows this. But there is a viral video from yesterday That’s just amazing to watch. And granted, radio is not going to do justice to this thing the way that the video does. So I recommend people go out there and watch it. But Rory McIlroy, his young daughter, Poppy, a little kid, is on the green putting in a way on the Masters in which you really just have to tap something. And then the green is going to do all the work for you. And she crushes it. And the only reason I want to play this audio, because you’re not even going to hear any sort of anchor, you know, describing what’s happening. I can try to do that for you. Is the crowd going nuts at the Masters when the little kid makes this putt? And she actually winds up even like hugging dad and getting a little shy like little kids do when they all of a sudden are the center of attention. But this is amazing. And here, here’s a little bit of the way the crowd reacts when Rory’s kid demonstrates that she’s probably going to wind up someday being better at golf than dad. That’s amazing. That’s the kind of roar you’d get when Tiger was coming back on the last few holes of a Masters to win something. The way that the crowd goes nuts. And the little girl’s just sitting there. She’s like, I guess I did good. You’ll never forget that moment. I don’t think Rory will ever forget that moment of his little kid getting that kind of reception a day before the Masters gets started. Rory hasn’t teed off yet, so I don’t know if he’s going to wind up being at the front of the pack. If not, his kid can make fun of him for not being that good a golf dad, and really, I should help you out someday. All right, I mentioned this before, the 911 call where a dispatcher actually was ordering McDonald’s while also trying to take a 911 call. And here’s a bit of the news coverage of this, including the guy who made the call complaining about how ridiculous this is. And then at the very end of this clip, you actually do hear the order for a McGriddle from McDonald’s from the person who’s taking your 911 phone call.
SPEAKER 24 :
My wife called me while I was at work at about 9 30 and said someone you know was snooping around the house knocking on the doors banging on the windows and stuff. I was panicking because you know my wife is home alone with my five-month-old daughter and I was you know coming home not knowing what I was going to come home to.
SPEAKER 13 :
That should never happen. Your breakfast should be different from your answer on a call. And the two should never intertwine.
SPEAKER 04 :
By the way, that’s a county commissioner, commission chair saying that Chester Ellis at the end there, like, yeah, we shouldn’t have this happen anywhere in the country. Of course it shouldn’t happen anywhere in the country. Of course it’s horrible and terrible. And it’s kind of ridiculous, if I play that audio again, that the person who’s making the order doesn’t seem to really care at all about the fact that they’re going to get caught for this or that this is a recording. They actually even say, like, huh, what? When still being tried to be communicated with about what the problem is that the person on the other line is facing and why they dialed 911 in the first place. Okay. I’m sorry, what? What do you want me to actually do here? How do you want me to proceed? I want you to take this phone call, darn it, and actually treat it like it’s important. All right, one last thing, too, before we take a break here in a little bit. Today is National Sibling Day, and people were asked what the perfect amount of siblings are in response to National Sibling Day. So I guess say happy this day to your family members on social media. I think that’s the rules of any of these stupid national holidays. But here’s the funny part. 14% of people who responded to this survey said that zero siblings was the perfect amount. I want none. I bah humbug the whole thing. 26% said two siblings was perfect. 19% said one and 18% said three. I have three siblings, but zero got a 14% vote. And then four siblings and up to 10 all had like 2% of the vote. But how crazy that for National Sibling Day, 14% of people are like, I don’t want any. All right, quick break. A lot more. Greg Collins filling in on The Dana Show.

SPEAKER 04 :
This is the Dana Show. My name is Craig Collins filling in. Thrilled to be with you. Bunch of stuff to talk about. DLash or DanaLashRadio on X on Twitter to stay connected with all things Dana. A bunch of other ways to stay connected with her too. I’m not sure how many people remember this name. I remember it because she’s insane. But there was the disinformation czar, the disinformation governance board head that the Biden-Harris administration picked back in 2022. Her name, Nina Jankowicz. She wound up not having a job because as soon as the American people heard about literally George Orwell 1984 stuff, Big Brother stuff, We were all nonplus about it. A lot of us were not happy with it. So now she’s a writer. I think Bulwark and some other places have published some of her craziness. She also, I think, testified recently in front of the House. All of this is now her new claim being that we conservatives, Republicans, the horrible side of the aisle that she hates, lie. about the fact that Democrats want to censor us. Now, just again, to remind you, this was the person that was going to be the head of the disinformation board of the government, the Ministry of Truth, more or less, that would have told us what was a lie and what was not a lie, including that Biden was mentally great. He was doing an incredible job. He was so sharp behind the scenes as the American people eventually found out. And a lot of us knew all along that his brain was broken profoundly. But one other thing to remind you, and I’m sorry to do this. I think that this will not be fun for a lot of people to hear. But to remind you who exactly Nina Jankowicz is and all the things she claims about the lies of the right. She recently created a version of a Mary Poppins song about how horrible Republicans are and their lie about lying and put it up on social media. So, again, I apologize, but I can’t help but hit play on this.
SPEAKER 15 :
Pondering is really quite ferocious It’s when a huckster takes a blast and makes them sound precocious By saying them in Congress or a mainstream outlet so Disinformation’s origins are slightly less atrocious It’s how you hide a little, hide a little lie. It’s how you hide a little, hide a little lie. It’s how you hide a little, hide a little lie. When Rudy Giuliani shared that intel from Ukraine.
SPEAKER 04 :
Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. When Rudy Giuliani talked about a bunch of things that wound up being true, I think is one of the problems. Here, let’s play another one.
SPEAKER 15 :
When TikTok influencers say COVID can cause pain, they’re laundering disinfo and we really should take note. A lot of examples.
SPEAKER 04 :
She even uses, or just wrong. But this is a failed theater kid that’s desperate for attention, that really, really wants you to know that she’s not the one who’s trying to keep the truth from you. And she claims that social media, I’m again, sorry to anyone that I just played the audio for, I couldn’t help it. It’s that bad that you might actually be amused by it. But anyway, she’s someone who wanted to censor all kinds of things, social media, whatever, and do it through the government and do it with the guise of protecting you. And she’s claiming that Republicans are too afraid of this narrative that’s not real. Even though after Elon Musk bought Twitter, he helped prove to us with the Twitter files that it absolutely does happen. And even Mark Zuckerberg, now a fan of Donald Trump, has admitted that Facebook did way too much censoring at the behest of the government. How do you just go out there and say, that these definitively proven true things are not true. And I think there’s only one way you do that. All right, let’s go with two ways that you do that. The first one is you’re so blind to your own arrogance that you don’t even check to make sure that what you’re saying is accurate. This is a nicer assumption I make, and I doubt many people actually fall in this bucket, but I assume there are some. that are so arrogant in their opinion that they don’t even pay attention to when people actually confirm the opposite of their point as true. And then the other one is you just assume everyone else is dumb enough to not do that, that you might know you’re lying. And this, I think, is something that happens a lot from the government. They just treat us like we’re morons and assume that we are. And we have to prove to them we’re not. And a vast majority of us hopefully do that. I think at least some of us definitely do that in just looking to see what the truth actually is. That she’s out there writing, you know, op-eds and appearing in front of Congress and saying all kinds of things about how the disinformation obsession of the right is actually, you know, a horrible lie convincing you to be more passionate emotionally about one side than the other. Even though Democrats often play the emotion card all the time. And I will say one last thing about this, and then I’ll move on to something else. What I think is really hilarious, and I probably can’t get over in any sense of the word or in any sense of this idea, is why it would matter if you were such a passionate proponent of the First Amendment or free speech or the lack of censorship in our society that you went too far with that. You’re like, yeah, we really need to make sure not to censor anything. Isn’t that still inherently a good thing? Isn’t still having the freedom and ability to voice our opinion no matter what it is good, even if you were overly passionate about that idea compared to the opposite? Someone like this moron saying out loud that we need to shut everybody up because they’re too influential in all the horrible lies they’re telling us. Again, just assuming that you’re a moron. All right. Another big story out there. The House did adopt the budget blueprint for President Trump’s agenda. This is after the Senate passed this, I think on Saturday. There was almost not going to be a vote about this. A few Republicans were standing on the side saying they want deeper cuts to the government that are guaranteed. I think that the target for a lot of conservatives was $1.5 trillion in savings to the American people, something that Speaker of the House Mike Johnson said that he’s still committed to. But the budget that was passed, which does allow for 2017 Trump tax cuts to continue, essentially puts the target at a minimum much, much lower. than 1.5 trillion. I think 4 billion is the spending cut minimum. And many people that were standing away from this and trying to fight it and potentially not pass it, and it did pass the House 216 to 214, were saying that we need a deeper guarantee of spending minimums. And I agree with that, by the way. You know, when you’re talking about trying to find $1.5 trillion in excess spending in the government, and then you put a minimum standard at just $4 billion, you’re definitely leaving a big net in the middle there. Obviously, I’m saying the obvious part out loud to most of us. And I would have liked it to close just a bit more. You know, hundreds of billions at least to get us close to the $1.5 trillion. And this is actually on the heels of something that Doge put out, I think, last night on Twitter. Those, of course, is the government thing, government efficiency, the Department of Government Efficiency, I should just say it correctly, thing run by Elon Musk. Yesterday, they tweeted that a 2020 survey revealed 24.5 thousand people, 24,500 people, 115 years or older, claimed $59 million in unemployment benefits. It’s probably not real. Even more so, 28,000 people between the ages of one and five claimed $254 million in unemployment benefits. You got to think that that’s got to be tough. If you’re one to five years old and you’ve been in the work world long enough to go ahead and qualify for unemployment benefits, it’s hard out there. for that age group of people in the workforce. And then finally, 9,700 people, also 15 years into the future, meaning they’re not born yet. Their birth date is 15 years from now, claims $69 million in benefits. Tough for the time travelers to work in our society too. And then actually in one case, someone with a birthday in 2154 got 41,000 bucks himself. in unemployment benefits. All the ways that the government is just broken and wasting our money and, you know, kind of arrogantly doing it and assuming that if we look at it, we’ll just have to raise our hands and be like, that’s the cost of doing business. I think more or less that’s what they want you to say. But this is one example. where they found millions and millions of dollars closing in on at least a billion just in abuses by completely impossible people trying to get unemployment benefits. And this is why I think a lot of conservatives, a lot of politicians, and certainly the few that voted against the bill yesterday, would have liked to see more than $4 billion as the baseline number for savings for the American people. One last thing, too, as you talk about all that, and you look into what the future holds, whether it’s with tariffs or anything else, there is a way in our society, and President Trump did talk about this, and I’m just going to throw it out there because I can’t get over it, to really reduce taxes entirely on the American people. That’s a thing that could happen. It would involve permanent tariffs on a lot of countries for goods that came in here, something the United States used to do way back in the day before taxes was our main revenue stream for our government. And there are other things that could happen to help with that, like the checking of all the excess spending. And I’ll just say this, whether it’s Trump or anyone else, Democrat or Republican, although, of course, only Republicans would want to do this. Getting rid of us paying taxes five days before tax day is something that would be incredibly popular with the American people. They would love it. I assume we’d all love it if we stopped having to do, you know, any kind of federal tax whatsoever. That would feel like a good thing and a nice win. And it potentially was something that Trump has teased before. And part of the reason to contemplate significant tariffs on the rest of the world and not necessarily something they’re talking about as much now, but at least bouncing around. in the back of my head as something that’s been talked about even a little bit, maybe in some of those podcast places before Trump resoundingly won the office of president again by saying that he would do more for the American people and our pocket, our checkbooks than anyone else does. All right, quick break, a lot coming up. Craig Collins filling in on the Dana show.
SPEAKER 37 :
Gold prices have surged over 40% since January 2024, consistently reaching new highs. According to Goldman Sachs research, the upward trend is expected to persist due to strong demand from central banks. It’s stuff like this that’s made me take action and why I’ve bought precious metals like gold and silver. I partnered with a great company that makes it super easy to buy. Easy, transparent, and simple. And that company is Goldco. They’re a huge supporter of this show, and they’re the best at what they do. And right now, you can get a free 2025 gold and silver kit jam-packed with critical information about buying precious metals. It was a huge help, not just for me, but to all of you if you do this. And for my audience, you could also qualify for up to a 10% instant match in bonus silver. It’s a really great deal. So don’t miss out. Visit danalikesgold.com to learn more. That’s danalikesgold.com.
SPEAKER 09 :
And now all of the news you would probably miss. It’s time for Dana’s Quick Five.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s right. It’s time for a quick five on the Dana Show. My name is Craig Collins filling in D-Lash, Dana Lash Radio. Great ways to stay connected to her on X on Twitter. A guy in Nevada apparently got arrested because he had seven emotional support animals that he should not have. They were tigers.
SPEAKER 08 :
i have multiple pieces of audio for um different news organizations covering this let’s do a local news news uh channel 12 in nevada talking about this story authorities raid a private home to seize these full-grown tigers seven tigers taken from the property early this morning police tell us the owner carl mitchell did not have the necessary permits to keep those tigers unsurprised that that was true mitchell was also taken into custody accused of resisting arrest the
SPEAKER 04 :
Also not surprised that he resisted arrest. This story is so insane. Let’s do it in a foreign accent and see if it sounds any better.
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, a Nevada man has been arrested after police seized seven tigers from his property, which he claimed were his emotional support animals.
SPEAKER 04 :
I’m sorry. This story is nuts. It’s crazy. And I love the fact my favorite part about this, too, is that he went emotional support animal when he was told that he couldn’t have seven tigers in his house. He’s like, no, that’s fine. They’re all here for emotional support. You should just let me have them. It would be great if I could keep these. And then he resists arrest. And then, well, other things happen. But that’s Nevada. Not a Florida man story, but it feels like one for sure. Have you felt like the world has been windier? That’s a real question that science has chosen to answer, at least here in the United States. It is the windiest year on record in quite, or the windiest month, excuse me, on record in quite some time. Wind, you know, I guess has been through the roof a lot of places. Most of the country, in fact, well above average throughout the Midwest and parts of the South, a little bit above average on the coasts. But has it been windy? Have there been a lot of wind gusts March 2025? The answer was yes. I’m surprised that more people aren’t, you know, storming social media and or some television stations telling us this is some sort of byproduct of global warming or something else that it isn’t. But just has it been windy for you? Apparently, science says, yep, if you thought so. Another story out there that I thought was kind of ridiculous. A Chinese restaurant had to close after cops discovered that its roast duck option on its menu was actually just street pigeons. This is disgusting. But in China, where they’re known to eat a lot of things that the rest of the world would not consume, and sometimes we blame stuff like COVID on the things they eat in wet markets and whatnot. Even if that’s not exactly where it actually came from, not important. This time a roasted duck that really looked a whole lot like a pigeon turned out to actually be a pigeon. That gets you in a lot of trouble. There are also social media posts of the cooked product that definitely does not look like a duck. And I don’t even know why I find this funny. I would definitely not eat in a whole lot of restaurants throughout China. One last story that I thought was interesting, and I have a little bit of audio for this one, too. A 70-year-old foster mom in Missouri is accused of potentially, not confirmed yet, but potentially trying to trade a child for a pet monkey. This is a real story. A prosecutor actually had to comment about this to a local news station. There’s definitely some scary parts and some seedy parts, the potential of this. But here’s a little bit of that audio.
SPEAKER 05 :
We’ll have to do some deeper dives into hopefully their communications to see if that trade was actually for consideration, if that was for the purposes of human trafficking. And we don’t know that yet, but it is an allegation that’s out there that we need to look into.
SPEAKER 04 :
I’m glad they’re going to take it seriously as an allegation. The woman’s name is Brenda, who’s accused of potentially doing this, wanting to boost her, quote, exotic animal collection and in the process maybe trading away a child as a foster mom, which is disgusting and horrible. I hope this isn’t true, to be entirely honest with you, because they’re saying it’s an allegation and they have to look deeper into it. I hope the end result is that somehow some part of this is imagined and not real. Otherwise, it’s the scary thing that people always tell us about that a lot of people don’t believe exists in the world existing again. One last thing, just quickly, as far as a quick five go. A list of the qualities that you’d never want to have in a potential mate were put up online on Reddit. And the number one of what people do not want someone else in their life to be, you know, a kind of core part of the personality that you wouldn’t want to date or be in a relationship with is people who talk about their own problems too much or are perpetually miserable. People who essentially think they’re a victim all the time in every situation, which feels like, if you follow social media, a lot of people. So good luck to you out there, but that’s number one in what you don’t want. Craig Collins filling in on the Dana Show.
SPEAKER 37 :

SPEAKER 04 :
This is the Dana Show. My name is Greg Collins filling in. A thrill to be with you. Bunch of stuff out there to talk about. D-Lash, Dana Lash Radio, great ways to stay connected to her on X on Twitter. Congressman Nick Lolota put out on social media about 30 minutes or so ago that serving in Congress has come with some once-in-a-lifetime experiences, like just now while stationary on a runway at DCA, another plane just bumped into our wing. Apparently, someone’s watching a little bit too much NASCAR while getting on the getting behind the controls of an airline, an airplane. Thankfully, everybody’s OK. And another representative has been handing out grapes on the plane. There were several politicians on board this flight where, again, nothing really, truly bad happened. Just a weird bump situation that occurred for some reason that we’re not sure about. That’s fairly hilarious. in my mind, mostly because, again, the significance of this moment and the amount that they’re going to talk about it compared to any real things that are bad and going on in society is probably way different than what it should be. All of them are so, so grateful to be alive after having their wing bumped into, again, something that seems as though it would be surprising for you to go through, but not necessarily death-defying, which is what, again, I expect some of them are going to behave as though that was I can’t get over it, though. And I already see in the comments section a whole bunch of political takes here, which I don’t even care about, to be honest. But yeah, a little bump, a little bit of trying to draft the plane in front of you before taking off on a runway. I find that hilarious. Another thing out there that I saw that I thought was interesting, this video went viral yesterday. This is a liberal dude complaining about somebody keying his Tesla. Apparently he’s finally now upset with the side of the aisle that he’s so often a big giant champion of. Here he is sarcastically congratulating people for keying his car.
SPEAKER 20 :
Check it out, guys. Somebody keyed the crap out of my Tesla, a car I bought six years ago in the state of California, because I’m concerned about climate change. But some amazing resistance fighter keyed the crap out of it, and that’s going to do it. Voting didn’t work, but defiling the car of a fellow liberal, we did it, guys. We got him.
SPEAKER 04 :
How dare you, sir, come after a fellow liberal? Feels like part of his thinking there. If he passed a Tesla that he thought was owned by a dirty conservative and someone had keyed that, he’d probably congratulate them. I imagine. But I love the indignation in his voice that you can hear as he’s upset that someone defiled his car from six years ago. It’s kind of amazing. And it demonstrates, as silly or simplistically as it does, the craziness of the left, which again always tells you that they’re the good guys, they’re the nice people, they’re the lovely individuals in the world. We have more. Let’s do some more of this audio. This is a liberal complaining about DEI being removed from the workplace that he’s in.
SPEAKER 03 :
I just got news today that they are cracking down on diversity, equity, and inclusion within workplaces in Ohio. our workplace was directly affected.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s terrible. By the way, I have heard a lot of people, friends of mine, family members, I don’t want to necessarily name the companies, although maybe at some point I will, saying that their employers have taken down DEI as far as being publicly advertised, but have stated to employees that they’re going to keep following those practices. They’re just not going to say them out loud. What I think is really interesting about that other than the fact that it might make a lot of people mad because it’s still essentially ignoring the idea that hiring someone based on a race or anything beyond their qualifications for a job is a bad decision. But what I think is also really interesting about that idea is they could’ve done this all along uh… and i i’ve i’ve said this and they probably do obviously we think they do this and they’ve been doing this for a long time but the problem with the left is they want the political win for the thing that they convince you is them being the good guys They don’t just want to do the thing that might not actually be good, but they claim is good. They want to trumpet it. They want to scream about it. They want to make sure that you hear them say it when they claim to be doing something good that other people won’t do so that you vote for them. It’s all political ploy. You know it and I know it. If they just wanted to diversify offices throughout the country, they could have done it without bragging about it years ago and still would have wound up with pushback and people saying it was wrong. And essentially, you know, hiring people based on something other than the qualifications is not a smart business practice. But nonetheless, what I love most about this story is that it’s a self-inflicted wound. And it’s one because of an obsession with wanting to be the person that gets congratulated for doing something that might not actually be helpful at all. We have one more. I do like this. This is definitely not a liberal, but this guy went viral with a hot take in the world that a lot of people reacted to. Here we go.
SPEAKER 11 :
If you don’t have a uterus, you don’t get an opinion. How about if you don’t own stocks, you don’t get an opinion on the stock market. How about if you’ve never actually dealt with tariffs, you don’t get to complain about them. Or if you don’t pay taxes because you don’t have a job, you don’t get to complain about investigating where our tax dollars go.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay, those are interesting. If you don’t have skin in the game, you’re not allowed to complain across the board. Let’s not do it for just one thing. Let’s do it for all things. I imagine a lot of people are going to say no and reject that. And again, this goes back to something I was sort of laughing about or talking about earlier in the show. But you can find in the podcast, Dana’s show gets fully podcast every day, even when I get to sit in for her. But anyway, one thing that I find very funny is the amount of people who scream and yell about stuff that have absolutely no impact on their lives. And the moment it might actually impact you in a negative way, like the dude whose Tesla car got keyed, you actually are quite mad about the thing that you’ve been a fan of, that you’ve been championing for a long time. All of a sudden, you’re like, this actually is terrible. because it actually hit your doorstep, and that obviously is the moment when you actually have an opinion that’s informed, which many people don’t have when they scream and yell about stuff. One other thing out there that I thought was interesting, this vote happened yesterday. It might not be in the news cycle for a lot of people, and this is probably because of tariffs and world trade and all that stuff being at the forefront of a lot of people’s minds, or at least media’s mind. I imagine you’re probably sick of it. Most people who didn’t see the cost of items go up, who didn’t really see, you know, their investments get destroyed after the market rebounded yesterday. Probably a lot of people don’t care about this conversation as much as media does. But this one, this topic might matter more to you. Congress voted against 208 Democratic members against a bill to require proof of citizenship to vote in our country. It makes no sense to be against this. The vote was 218 yes to 208 no because Republicans are sensible. And actually four Democrats voted in favor of this who are more sensible. There were some people who did a no vote on both sides. I think six Republicans and one Democrat. But 208 Democrats that said no, we shouldn’t have to prove we’re a citizen to vote in an election. And I don’t I’m never going to understand that fight being on that hill and saying that this is important or that it’s somehow unfair to certain individuals. It’s somehow racist or something else. I’m not even sure what they claim it to be sometimes because you can’t find facts that back up the opinion. But just wanting to have actual citizens voting in our election, that should be the baseline of what we require from politicians. That should be the baseline of what we require from our government in general. We should want people to actually have skin in that game before they decide to vote in it or, yeah, I don’t know, be alive. All the other things you need to be to vote in an election. It’s insane that this becomes a political fight and that it also is a buried topic of conversation compared to anything else. Because, again, the point of this very simplistically is to make our elections more secure, which feels like anything that we discuss where once you take a step back and think about it and you’re not even told which side is pro and which side is anti this topic. Not that I think a lot of people wouldn’t already know that. But if you didn’t, you’d be like, yeah, that makes sense. Sure, we should do that. It’s like any other common sense thing out there. And yet somehow it becomes a political talking point or a political thing for people to argue and disagree about simply to argue and disagree about it. You know what I really think it is? I’ll say one more thing about this, because darn it, we’re already here. So let’s dive as deep as we can into this. I think it’s that same DEI stuff, that same whatever the topic may be thing of, let’s say I’m a Democrat or a Democratic strategist, and I’m sitting around the table, and I’m talking about what’s going to win me an election. And actually, this is really interesting when you think about the failed candidacy of Kamala Harris and how a lot of the left is now claiming it’s just racism in the United States that was the problem, when the reality is that the left wanted you to vote for Harris. because she was a black woman or because she was, you know, fill in the blank thing and not because her policies were valuable. If you remember during her run for office, which she was never actually, you know, elected by the people to try to be in any of those positions. But during her run, there was a long time period there where we didn’t know her policy on anything. before it was copy and paste Biden policies onto her website. That was a knock on her that we didn’t know what she stood for or what she actually was in support of because some of it flew in the face of what she would say in the past. And some of it, she was just refusing to give us her position on certain things. That is an organization that believes you’ll vote regardless of what the ideas are and more about the subject itself or anything else. When you look at DEI, when you look at this other stuff or, you know, voting and making sure that someone’s a citizen, essentially that group of people, those people brainstorming on the left, the consultants are saying out loud that we have to spin this topic to somehow be defending these groups in society that we hope overwhelmingly vote for us. These demographics that we’re going for. So we have to turn something that’s not about race, not about sex, not about whatever into something that is, or at least convince you it’s something that is so that we’re telling you we’re fighting for you. And at the same time, we’re misusing and abusing it and trying to get dead people to vote in elections. It’s amazing and it’s crazy. And if you took a step back, I assume most people would agree that this actually does make no sense. And we would much rather do something the way that, you know, these conservatives voted on a topic like making sure you’re a citizen to vote in an election. Sometimes it feels that silly to just scream out loud the idea and say, how does anyone disagree with this? And yet people do. All right, we’ll take a break. We’ll have some more fun in a sec. We’ll do some Florida man and other things. This is Craig Collins filling in on the Dana show.

The military had been turned into a social experiment. Apparently, they’ve been looting the coffers in Washington for a long time of hundreds of billions of dollars, terminating the lives of our children. I mean, we all know the litany of things that are happening. It feels like it’s going to take a determination from the people of faith if we’re going to see this walked back to the place it needs to be for the sake of our children.

It’s his life mission to make bad decisions. It’s time for Florida Man.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s right. It’s time for Florida, man. My name is Craig Collins filling in for Dana. This is the Dana Show. DLash, DLash Radio. Great ways to stay connected to her. A guy at 1115 at night on Monday went outside in Florida and started firing his gun upward toward the sky. Inherently stupid thing and actually a dangerous thing to do. He was celebrating the Gators win. in the NCAA National Championship game. So that gets you arrested in Florida or anywhere else. Police said that not only was he in trouble, but no one else should do this. You shouldn’t go outside to celebrate anything by just indiscriminately firing a weapon up in the air. Again, because what goes up must come down. And oftentimes we see horrific stories that wind up being an aspect of this. This guy just arrested for being an idiot. No one actually hurt, so that’s good. But Florida man doing Florida man stuff. This story is insane. I feel like there’s so many pieces to this. I should do it, you know, slowly. Cops arrested Daniel, 49 years old. He was publicly intoxicated, which is the least of his issues as far as the virality of this story. He was at an Applebee’s inside the parking lot in Clearwater, Florida. And then here’s the rough part. Or the extra rough part of his story. The drunk man was wearing a pink thong, fake breasts, and a pink wig. Reasons undetermined as to why he was doing that. But the dude was drunk and yelling at people inside an Applebee’s parking lot. I can’t get over this one. I genuinely will ask you and try to fathom in your brain for a second what you do if you’re in Florida and Clearwater and you’re for some reason choosing to dine at an Applebee’s on that evening. No offense as an Italian to, you know, a very large chain out there, but not exactly at the top of my list for places I’d go unless they’re an advertiser. Then they’re my favorite thing I’ve ever had in my life. I love the never ending breadsticks. will be bought very easily by advertisers. But nonetheless, you’re pulling in, maybe you’re even on vacation in Florida, and you see Daniel, 49 years old, rocking a pink thong and nothing else, fake boobs, and then the pink wig, and you think to yourself, ah, I’m going to a different location. I’m not going to stay here. He has also gone viral in his orange jail outfit, which after he was arrested, they made him put on instead of the other thing. He’s charged with disorderly intoxication, booked on a few other issues in county jail. It’s a misdemeanor charges likely to go his way and probably something that he’ll never live down. I was going to say with his friends, but I’m not sure if Daniel has any and I’m not trying to be mean. I’m just guessing that that might not be the case. People might not hang with Daniel on the regular, but this is the kind of thing that I can’t imagine if he was, you know, blindly intoxicated so he doesn’t remember this. And if this isn’t the way he normally behaves, how you even understand this story when you sober up. I was doing what again? But I imagine this is a typical night out for Mr. Daniel. At least I’m assuming so. But a ridiculous story. One of my favorite and the most ridiculous Florida stories I’ve seen in a while. And then finally, I have a piece of audio I want to play. This is Channel 8 NBC News, who are actually always on your side in Florida, in Tallahassee, talking about something that happened in Tampa. I don’t care about penguins visiting a state house. I don’t need to break bad against it or, you know, be overly positive about it. What I am amused by is how tongue-in-cheek you have to be as local news or local news anchors to say things like this into a camera and not hate your job. But here we go.
SPEAKER 23 :
At 5.30, on your side.
SPEAKER 35 :
The animals when I’m at work is my number one priority. It’s all hands on deck, and that’s our entire facility. Hello!
SPEAKER 06 :
That’s a penguin. There was an overwhelming amount of cuteness at the state capitol today. Penguins from right here in Tampa took a trip up to Tallahassee to talk politics with lawmakers. Good evening, everyone. I’m Josh Benson.
SPEAKER 28 :
Hey, Josh. Hey, Jennifer. The Florida Aquarium, alongside their tuxedoed ambassadors, are asking for critical funding. I hate these.
SPEAKER 04 :
stupid little news puns that happen all the time with these newscasts. The overwhelming amount of cuteness and the tuxedo-wearing representatives that went in front of the Capitol building for the Penguins. These are the things that, again, would make me hate to be, say, a news anchor at a local news station. But you’re just reading it. You didn’t write it. And darn it, the paycheck is good. Then that’s fine. I’ll go ahead and read anything. But that would make me cringe. And I imagine made a lot of other people. All right, quick break. A lot coming up. Craig Collins filling in on The Dana Show.
SPEAKER 37 :
Burn a gun, B-Y-R-N-A, is the non-firearm firearm. And it’s a great way to help diversify your defense array, your weapons array. And it shoots chemical irritant projectiles that can deter threats from up to 50 feet away. and there’s no waiting period. There’s no gun freeze. It doesn’t care about gun freeze zones. It doesn’t care about any of that stuff, and it’s an effective deterrent because, like I said, you’re able to still protect yourself. You know, I get it that I always carry, and I have no problem using lethal force, and I don’t live in an area that tells me I can’t carry or has a bunch of buildings that tell me I can’t go in and can’t carry, but I do have friends who live in places like this, and this has been a godsend for them because they can still protect themselves. Of course, you know, it’s still a high-crime area. It really is where they have the strongest gun laws, and this is where Berna Law comes into play. So they’re able to defend themselves without violating any of those municipal restrictions. And like I said, no waiting period, no background check. They ship it right to your front door. The Berna SD, that’s the best-selling model. They have others, but that’s the one everybody I know has been getting. And you can choose your color, your projectiles, accessories, everything. SPEAKER 04 :
This is the Dana show. Uh, my name is Craig Collins filling in thrilled to be with you. Uh, Dana is back tomorrow. D lash Dana lash radio on X on Twitter to stay connected. Easiest way to stay connected to her, but she’s everywhere. YouTube rumble all over the stuff. Producer Steven putting up digital media stuff for her all the time. Uh, so you can find her anywhere. Uh, Tariffs is a big conversation. A lot of people are discussing the 90-day pause that President Trump put out yesterday, the rebound in the stock market that seemed very valuable to anyone complaining that this was already a problem. One of the other interesting parts of this, and Hakeem Jeffries, Annoying Democrats, certainly an annoying Democrat. I was out there saying that inflation is getting worse just yesterday. And then CNN this morning reported something just a little bit different, just a tad different than what he was saying.
SPEAKER 12 :
Consumer prices month over month. So this was actually a drop of 0.1%, negative 0.1%. That’s the first time we’ve seen that since COVID. Year over year, the annual inflation rate was at 2.4%. This was also better than expected and a six-month low moving in the right direction.
SPEAKER 04 :
Wait a minute. What are you saying? You’re saying that right now, as of today, and you’re CNN, so you’re begrudgingly telling us this, that inflation has actually gone down for the first time in a long time. And then as far as a six-month period, we’re seeing an all-time low for some of these numbers. So things are going in the right direction. So if the actual human beings in our society judge based on their human experience and not based on what news media or politicians are telling them, then things are improving. How dare you, sir? How could that possibly be true? Obviously, I believe it was, and I love that it was. But Jeffries was saying just yesterday that it’s completely not the case. He also said this in response to another question that went very viral because the saddest part And I will actually say that this is the saddest part. It’s also the part that might make you the most angry about politics. But the saddest thing is how often people on certain sides of the political aisle flip-flop based on who’s in charge and not what’s best for the world or best for our country. This is another one of those moments where Hakeem Jeffries can actually say out loud, we need to secure the border now that there’s a president in charge who’s doing that. And it’s not somehow imagined as a political win to pretend as though not doing it is good. Most Americans would like to see this done. Here’s the back and forth.
SPEAKER 26 :
Republicans are proposing new spending for border security funding in this forthcoming budget bill. Is that something that your conference will support, that sort of security investment?
SPEAKER 14 :
We have to look at the particulars. We believe that we need to secure the border, make sure that it is safe and strong, that the rule of law…
SPEAKER 04 :
consistent with america he’s actually swallowing his words uh… you can tell with how much he’s pausing there that he can’t believe that he’s saying everything that was a republican talking point just a couple years ago before society resoundingly rejected the democratic version of the country of a nation of laws correct we are fully and completely implemented at the border all this is true we believe we have a broken immigration system and we need to fix it
SPEAKER 14 :
in a comprehensive and in a bipartisan way.
SPEAKER 04 :
Sure. All that’s true. This is not something you or anyone was saying just a short time ago. You’re always capable of flip-flopping whenever you see the grass is greener. Over here, it’s the saddest or most annoying part of politics. And actually, there’s this viral video. I’m going to go ahead and play it. I wasn’t going to play it, but I will of President Barack Obama talking about tariffs on China specifically and how valuable they are. And what’s funny about this, and I think it first went viral at the very beginning of this month. uh… is all the criticism of trump in his war against china and the tariffs that are increasing their police putting a pause or stopping things everywhere else i just because of how often the other side actually agrees with you but pretends not to and empowers people who vote for them to believe that it’s actually evil cannot agree with them that’s what democrats and that’s what of the left preaches all the time is you have to hate the voters on the right for thinking the thing that they thought just a few years ago, or they think when they’re actually being honest behind closed doors.
SPEAKER 22 :
We had a tire case in which they were flooding us with cheap domestic tires or cheap Chinese tires. And we put a stop to it. And as a consequence, save jobs throughout America. How’d you do that? I have to say that Governor Romney criticized me for being too tough in that tire case. Said this wouldn’t be good for American workers and that it would be protectionist. But I tell you, those workers don’t feel that way. They feel as if They had finally an administration who was going to take this issue serious.
SPEAKER 04 :
Who was actually going to protect them by imposing tariffs on China to make their very cheap tires not cheap for the American people so we don’t buy them. How crazy of an idea to try to fight that power and fight a place that, you know, constantly steals IP and all other things from us, refuses to let us sue companies in their country while they sue companies in our country, etc., etc., all the ways that trade is profoundly unfair, not just between the United States and China, but China and everyone. So I’ll say this again before I move on. Anyone that’s afraid that all of these other countries will rush toward China and away from us profoundly misunderstands how much of the world knows that China trades unfairly to begin with. And as long as we don’t ever go to their level of unfair and all of our tariffs still aren’t their level of unfair, we’ll be fine. And people will work with us and want to work with us, especially after we pause most of those tariffs and tell you that the door is open to a more fair trade agreement between us and you, something that China will never do. All right, one last thing. I do want to play this. I thought this was interesting. Elon Musk this morning sat down and told a bunch of politicians how great of a job Doge is doing at saving us money. They also tweeted last night that they found a bunch of ridiculous fraud in the world of unemployment claims, unemployment claims being made by people over the age of 115. or between the ages of one and five. In some cases, people that aren’t even born yet. One guy that is born in 2154 who got tens of thousands of dollars of unemployment money. It’s gotta be tough to be a time traveler from the future trying to get a gig and being out of work. But here’s Musk talking about how good of a job Doge is doing at saving us money.
SPEAKER 32 :
Well, thanks to your fantastic leadership, this amazing cabinet, and the very talented Doge team, I’m excited to announce that we anticipate savings in FY26 from reduction of waste and fraud by $150 billion. And nice. I mean, and some of it is just absurd, like people getting unemployment insurance who haven’t been born yet. I mean, I think anyone can appreciate whether I mean, come on.
SPEAKER 04 :
I mean, come on is right. Whether you’re Democrat, whether you’re Republican is what he was going to say there or just in general people. And I can’t believe that this is a fight to that. You have individuals in your life who watch news 24 seven on a certain side of the political aisle and then tell you that Doge is bad. even though it’s saving waste, fraud, and abuse, which used to be a bipartisan thing that most people wanted to see. By the way, just a side thing here. It amused me quite a bit. It was released yesterday by the White House. It is a fact sheet, and you can look it up yourself if you want to. The headline, President Donald J. Trump Makes America’s Showers Great Again. This is awesome. You know what’s funny about these things, actually, whether it’s light bulbs, whatever the issue might be, when Trump stands strongly on one side of these sorts of issues, it amuses me because so many Americans would be like, yeah, I want that. There’s nothing wrong with that. Today, President Donald J. Trump, this is within the fact sheet itself, signed an executive order to end the Obama-Biden war on water pressure and make America’s showers great again. The order directs the Secretary of Energy to immediately rescind the overly complicated federal rule that defined showerhead under Obama and Biden. Twice in the last 12 years, those administrations put out massive regulations defining the word showerhead. The Biden definition was a staggering 13,000 words. The Oxford English Dictionary, by contrast, defines showerhead in one short sentence. Oh, the sarcasm of this is so great. President Trump is restoring sanity to at least one small part of the federal regulations, returning to the straightforward meaning of showerhead from the 1992 energy law, which sets a simple 2.5 gallons per minute standard for showers. How stupid is this? That there’s a debate or argument or an executive action that needs to be taken to give you the ability to have the right amount of water pressure in your home, in your shower. It’s hilarious in part and also probably infuriating if you want to be mad about this, which a lot of people probably are. But these are the things that amuse me so much. Again, when President Trump is out there fighting for you to have a certain light bulb or certain ability to, you know, buy appliances that work a certain way or even just a shower head that works a certain way. It’s so funny. This has become a political thing and a talking point. And it goes back to something I think we’ve been discussing a lot today. The Democrats just want a political win. They don’t care about the actual thing they’re winning at. They just want to convince you that they’re politically winning. They’re saving the environment by preventing you from having water pressure to a degree that you want it to be, which is insane, by the way, and stupid, and the kind of fight that doesn’t need to happen in the world of our government, and most people believe that. Darn it, it’s a thing that’s out there in the world, and why don’t we talk about it? Oh, by the way, one last quick thing before I take a break. I do like this quite a bit, too. Goldman Sachs no longer predicting a recession after all the decision making by this administration. 90 day pause on his Liberation Day tariffs, et cetera. Apparently, the likelihood of a recession now gone from one of the biggest investment giants in our society, which seems like a good thing, too. By the way, you almost might call it a political win if you were being fair and not overly one sided and how you talk about any of this stuff. But all right. On that note, we’ll take a break. A lot coming up. Craig Collins filling in on the Dana Show.

SPEAKER 04 :
That’s right. This is the Dana Show. My name is Craig Collins filling in. Time for a Quick Five, a DLash, DanaLash Radio. Great ways to stay connected on X on Twitter. Pizza Hut, at least in New York City, is coming up with a one-of-a-kind topping, according to them. Apparently, they’re getting in on the quote caviar craze. I don’t know that this is real, but some people seem to think it is, at least on social media. One Pizza Hut location in New York City is going to put fake caviar on top of your Pizza Hut pizza and charge you a stupid amount of money for it, although not as much as what caviar actually would cost. This is dumb. I’ve never wanted caviar and pizza together. I’ve actually never had caviar and I’m fine never having it in my life. I’ve been offered it. I’m good on that whole thing. But even more than that, what I find hilarious about this is Pizza Hut of all places is trying to get on board and get involved and still involving the Pizza Hut pizza. I guess you could have just served your fake caviar on the side if you want to. But now, baby, let’s make something worse than putting a pineapple on pizza. Let’s throw full on fake caviar on there and see how people go with that. A restaurant in Thailand has been all over the news recently because of a weird way that they’re offering a discount to customers. That’s making a lot of people quite upset. Essentially, they have this giant structure in front of their restaurant with these reduction or reducing in size kind of holes. And you have to squeeze through one. And the smaller hole you can get your body through, the bigger discount you get on your food. A very skinny dude in Thailand went viral. for fitting through the smallest hole, the 20% off hole. I have a little bit of audio of this. As weird as it is as a story, we also have social media audio because of course we do. Why wouldn’t we? Of a dude who successfully gets the big discount.
SPEAKER 19 :
You tried to have enough. I told him oatmeal. Is that your friend? Yeah, I told him oatmeal. You need some butter.
SPEAKER 28 :
Can you do 10? Hold on, he’s doing it. Oh my gosh. What if he gets stuck? You can’t do it.
SPEAKER 20 :
You’re good for five, she already said.
SPEAKER 04 :
You’re good for five. You try to get through the 20% discount. One dude pretty much got through, though. So stupid, this whole thing, and so stupid as far as a viral thing. But I will tell you, at least my opinion of it, if you’re skinny enough to get through the very small vertical bars that create the 20% discount, you’re probably not going to eat enough to harm the restaurant. You’re probably not consuming enough of their food to make it an issue that they only charge you 20% of what they charge other people. But still, not something I’m advocating for. Beyond that, also, I thought this was an interesting story. Scientists have demonstrated that a coffee nap is more beneficial than coffee or a nap by itself. What’s a coffee nap? You might be asking yourself after hearing it on the radio. It’s exactly what you think it is. It’s drinking a cup of coffee and then immediately trying to go to sleep for 15, 20 minutes at, say, about two o’clock or so doing both things. allowing for the coffee to go through your system while you’re passed out. If you can actually pass out right after drinking a cup of coffee, that helps you because by the time you wake up from your nap, the energy, the caffeine is hitting you so you have more energy the rest of the day, at least according to science. One last thing. I thought this was insane. And this story is being reported a few places. I think Gizmodo.com is one of the places putting out information about it. But police in the UK are proud of a brand new AI algorithm they’ve built that potentially figures out who murderers are in advance. This is a minority report, movie style type of thing. But they’re going to predict who is most likely to harm people. and use the tool as a murder protection mechanism to prevent people from harming each other by accusing you of something you haven’t done yet. A Freedom of Information request created some transparency based on this report, and it is insane. like I said, but their tool they think is going to benefit and be valuable. And I’m sure other places that use stuff like this don’t even tell us about it. But it’s essentially very similar to the precognition stuff that existed in Minority Report all over the Internet being complained about. I wonder if politically one side will be more likely to harm you than another side. We’ll see how that goes. Quick break. A little more coming up. Craig Collins filling in on The Dana Show.

That’s right. This is The Dana Show. My name is Craig Collins filling in. Thrilled to be with you. Lots of stuff to talk about. DLash, DanaLashRadio on X on Twitter are great ways to stay connected to her and everything that she’s up to and everything that she’s talking about. I thought this was interesting, and I’ll get to it in a second. The U.S. Justice Department has barred its attorneys from participating in American Bar Association events. There’s a reason why for this. I can describe it in greater detail. But before I do that, I do want to play a couple little clips. And I know tariffs is mostly a conversation that’s in one ear and out the other for many Americans right now. But the press secretary for the White House, Carolyn Leavitt, is awesome and occasionally does things in front of the press, toward the press. that make me stand up and go, that was amazing. This was one of those moments where she ridiculed people for not understanding the art of the deal, something that definitely is benefiting President Trump right now after he rescinded most of the tariffs or, you know, at least decreased them on the majority of countries within our world as he’s getting a lot of countries calling us off the hook to create new trade deals that would benefit America more and benefit Americans quite a bit. Here we go.
SPEAKER 27 :
The media clearly missed the art of the deal.
Yeah, and actually go after people who treat us unfairly and demonstrate a willingness to do all that stuff. It’s pretty amazing. She also said that when you punch, we punch back harder, baby.
SPEAKER 27 :
As you all know, the president just put out a statement announcing an additional tariff on China. The tariff on China will now go up to 125% because China imprudently decided to retaliate against the United States. And as I said at the podium yesterday, when you punch at the United States of America, President Trump is going to punch back harder.
SPEAKER 04 :
I love that. And actually, I think that’s something that makes a lot of people proud as Americans is when we’re willing to use our might, whatever that might be, economic might, military might, anything to demonstrate that we’re not to be messed with. The whole, you know, quote that you do this around and you find out President Trump is demonstrating that if you mess with us, we mess back harder. And I think that’s something that’s been missing in politics for quite a bit, whether it’s on the right or left. I don’t care. Let’s get to this other thing, the U.S. Justice Department going after the American Bar Association. In a release yesterday, U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch said, I think this is actually a memo that Reuters and other places published, that there have been several activist causes that have been taken up by this organization and that the United States and at least our Justice Department can’t simply stand and watch as these things happen. One of the examples used was the American Bar Association suing to block Trump from cutting funding to foreign countries and foreign aid organizations. The department is actively litigating against the ABA, yet the department continues to expend taxpayer dollars on ABA events. That’s not going to happen anymore. What’s interesting about this topic, beyond maybe the, you know, details, the fine details of it that may or may not actually be important to you, is the idea that every time President Trump and his administration does something to go after one of the, I’d say, business as usual practices in Washington, D.C., inevitably the coverage in a lot of places is that he’s going after his political enemies. or he’s fighting a fight that’s about his personal vendettas and not necessarily in the benefit of the country itself. What’s interesting about that, though, is it doesn’t make any sense for our government to spend money and provide support to organizations that actively sue us. It doesn’t make sense to do that. And all these behind-closed-doors handshake agreements where money bounces from here to there, whether that money eventually goes to Ukraine and comes back somehow, whatever it might be, these scenarios are things that you want to upend. And there’s several different examples of this actually happening in our society right now and how good that is for us and how much of this waste, fraud, and abuse winds up being outed simply by upending some of these systems. Yet another thing that is getting complained about ad nauseum on television and on TV a certain, you know, far left-leaning organizations that have no real need to tell you constantly that these are the problems you need to focus on because you don’t care. And by the way, as inflation is actually going down, however small amount it is, I think it’s 0.1% that inflation decreased month over month for the first time since COVID, you still have a lot of Democratic politicians out there telling you that things are simply getting worse. Things are getting worse because of their policies and trying to reverse them like a war on energy. And I have some CNN audio that will back this up. But first, I want to play Jasmine Crockett, a representative who often says crazy stuff into a microphone, talking about how terrible all this is for you and how it’s tied somehow to deportations, which makes no sense.
SPEAKER 34 :
So I am telling you that this is a failed thing, but we’ve got to do better to connect the dots and let people know the reason you can’t afford a home is because of these failed immigration policies. The reason you’re not going to be able to afford your food is because of these failed immigration policies. And the same can go for the hospitality industries where we have so many of those in the hospitality industry that are saying they do not have the workers that they need right now.
SPEAKER 04 :
She’s continuing to advocate for people that are illegally in this country to make wages below minimum wage so that companies can afford to do business at the prices they’re doing business at. I don’t know how they say this out loud. I genuinely don’t know how the woke side of the aisle is totally fine with this idea of I would love to have one of these Democratic politicians sit in a room with the individuals that they’re advocating for who don’t have enough money to pay bills and don’t have the right to be in this country and shouldn’t be here in the first place. I agree with all that. But nonetheless, like sit in a room with these people and be like, thank you so much. for being taken advantage of by our country and the businesses who are willing to hire you and not give you livable wages because it makes it better for the rest of us, and then walk out of that room and also still think she’s like woke and a justice warrior for the people. It’s literally insane. And again, I’m not advocating for people who are here illegally to get more money. I’m actually advocating for people to only be allowed in our country with legal status so that they have the ability to get money akin to what anyone else that has rights can get money at that certain standard, that very simplistic minimum wage standard. It’s just insane. You know what it actually feels like to me? When I hear Democrats make that argument and Pelosi has made it, a bunch of them have made it, is they’re sitting in a room somewhere and they’re saying to themselves, we have to be on a certain side of this topic. We have to be. We can’t possibly go to the other side, the side that the Republicans are on and the American people appear to be on. We have to find a way to oppose it. because we don’t want the people that we want to legally vote in this country to be sent out of this country we want them to keep voting for our side of the aisle so they come up with this as the best possible way to advocate their side or their position that stuff will get more expensive if people are treated fairly which is, again, so counter to everything else they preach about being. And this should be one of the best proofs to most Americans that what they preach about and what they actually do behind closed doors are profoundly different and do not help or benefit you at all. And it’s just insane. By the way, as I talk about overly leftist ideas and people on a certain side of the aisle, I think Whoopi Goldberg has gone viral again, and the ladies of The View who often go viral, this time about saying that everybody in America needs to pay more taxes. Not just the wealthy, which is typically the Democratic point on this, but everybody. You’ve got to kick in some more money to the government, because how dare you not give them enough to waste it on things they shouldn’t be spending it on.
SPEAKER 02 :
It’s very important to remind people that now is the time for each and every one of us to suck it up and make sure that we know what we need to take care of. If you’re in an area where the school district is losing, then you got to pay a little more taxes and help the schools out. If you’re finding that your libraries are falling apart, you have to give more. You got to pay more money.
SPEAKER 04 :
You got to do more. to make them succeed, even if they’re not succeeding at all for you. And even if some of these schools are teaching your kids things you don’t want them to teach them, darn it, that doesn’t matter. You got to pony up, baby. You got to give more money. Whoopi Goldberg, who’s worth millions of dollars, not necessarily willing to do that herself, but she’s going to tell everyone else to do it. I just find that amazing. How often we see that, too. And one last time, I’ll say this, not to overtalk the tariff point, which is getting, you know, a lot of publicity and probably a lot of people are ignoring the topic more than anything else. There was an interview. This did happen on a podcast. I think it was one of the, you know, younger targeting. I think it happened on Rogan and it happened on a couple other ones. where Trump said that if you found a way to tariff the rest of the world significantly, you might be able to do away with federal income tax entirely on the American people in this country. You might be able to have no taxes, which would be resoundingly popular with the American people, and not have to do something over the next five days if you haven’t done it already that so many people will be doing, filing and paying your taxes. And as Whoopi said, just give an extra. Just go ahead and throw an extra few thousand on the pile. for Uncle Sam because he’s going to waste that money and he’s not going to use it right. What an insane take. But nonetheless, I love every part of this and every back and forth talking point that exists here because most Americans will sit there and think, nah, I’m not going to do that. And yet the high and mighty in the world of certain liberal politics will assume what they said would be widely popular, even though it’s absolutely not. And also, as Doge continues to find ways for us to stop wasting money, it makes us even less likely to want to send money to people. Essentially, I’d like a refund on all the money I’ve given you so far because you’ve been using it wrong, and I knew that all along. All right, quick break. A little bit more coming up. SPEAKER 04 :
This is the Dana Show. My name is Craig Collins filling in. Dana is back tomorrow. Thrilled to be with you a little bit longer. A D-Lash, Dana Lash Radio on X on Twitter to stay connected to all things going on in her world. She’s on Facebook. Facebook. She’s on all the places, social media sites and whatnot. YouTube producer Stephen does an incredible job of keeping a bunch of that digital stuff out there. So check it out and the podcast too. All right. Some other quick things that I found that didn’t make the show until the end of the show. Doesn’t mean they’re less. It just means that we didn’t talk about them. A tourist went to jail over wandering a little too close to the famed Yellowstone attraction. That would be the old faithful geysers that exist there. This is something you should not wander close to. A law requires foot travel in all thermal areas and within the Yellowstone Canyon between the Upper Falls and Inspiration Point. to be marked by the different locations you see around you. You’re not supposed to break those rules. If you see boardwalks and trails that demonstrate don’t go beyond this point, don’t just ignore that. A 44-year-old Seattle woman decided she was above this law and got in trouble for it. It’s 15 days behind bars and up to $200 in fines if you do something you shouldn’t do at Yellowstone National Park. Kind of a big deal as far as the story goes. Another person, influencer, whatever you want to call them, also had a negative experience recently. This woman, a Brazilian model named Ravenna, got frostbite. I’m going to tell you the story. I want to tell you the story. On her butt. She was proud of a certain body part, and she decided to do a photo shoot in the snow in a frigid part of Spain. And because her, well, bottom was exposed for too long to that weather, the 24-year-old wound up with frostbite and a $19,000 operation because of the pain that occurred there. The lesson being that it’s not worth the clicks. No matter how much you think it could be worth the clicks, it is in fact not. And you don’t need to stand outside in thong underwear in the freezing cold and get frostbite on your butt. She did say that it was numb. She couldn’t sit down. I don’t know why I find this so funny. I find it funny because every part of her should have told her this was a bad idea while it was happening. But it didn’t because she wanted people on social media to follow her account, which they probably will. And honestly, in reporting this story, I might have pushed more people toward her account. And I’m fine with that. I just hope for her medical safety. She makes better decisions in the future. And actually, another story, if I’m mentioning medical safety real quick. There is a specific kind of Tostitos, Frito-Lay’s potato chips, that have been recalled. And recently, the recall has been up to the highest level that exists in the country. The Tostitos Cantina traditional yellow corn tortilla chip was, I guess, lifted to the state of recall that says if you consume it, you could die. So please don’t eat this product. It’s the 13-ounce bag, one created, as I said, around the beginning of March. Don’t eat it. Don’t consume it. Definitely throw it out and or return it to whatever store. For the recall, 13 states, part of this recall. I don’t see many of these warnings out there involving a potato chip that they’re claiming, or I guess a corn tortilla chip that could cause death. The states involved, if you’re wondering… Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Don’t eat the Cantina yellow tortilla chip because it could actually kill you. That’s what the warning says, and that’s uniquely terrifying for anyone out there that has this in their cupboard, I imagine. One last story for you as far as topics that I meant to get to, but didn’t till the end of the show here. It is highly recommended, at least according to social media and a few health care providers, to floss your brain occasionally. It’s not what you think. You’re not going to try to stick anything in between your ears. Flossing your brain actually just means cleansing your mind. by doing something that has nothing to do with anything that takes a mental, you know, effort. Whether it’s sit down and watch a dumb movie. I like the Fast and Furious movies. My friends all think that those movies have no plot. And that’s the point, baby. I love to see the cars explode and go fast and the death-defying stunts that happen that make no sense in the world of real life. And then eventually Vin Diesel and the family solve everything at the end of said movie. One of many examples, but you should floss your brain at least once a day. This could even be just white noise or other types of audio you play while you try to relax. But just do something that requires no mental energy whatsoever. Relax, sleep, unwind, etc. All highly suggested as things to do that will give you short-term and long-term benefits. In your brain, baby. So floss your mind is something that they’re saying, both like said on social media and then also some of the experts are claiming this one’s actually true. So I’ll do it. I hope you do it too. Have a great day. Dana back tomorrow. Craig Collins filling in on the Dana Show.
