Subject: TEENS – MILLENNIALS – GEN Z – TURN TOWARD RELIGION
That was the title of a recent article in The Washington Times.
According to Barna, a faith-based research firm, the majority of American young, Gen-Z and Millennials, some 77% are at least somewhat interested and motivated to continue to learn about religion and about Jesus throughout the rest of their lives.

I suppose that is a good thing, turning from the insanity of this woke world, from the lies of progressivism and transgenderism, to at least religion and maybe even to some extent to Jesus, the Christ, our Lord. Maybe.
But this may indicate a lifelong searching, a never-fulfilled interest, a marginal intellectual and emotional pursuit never resulting in a firm decision, accepted belief, and most importantly:
A BORN-AGAIN EXPERIENCE,
a personal, eternal encounter with the Christ, the Son of the Living God.
The Trump administration is determined to wipe out progressive insanity, lies, and deceit, and to restore to America and hopefully much of the world, FREEDOM OF RELIGION, and the restoration of true religious faith. What a blessing to us, WE THE PEOPLE, and to all Americans where we can explore our faith, express it, and enjoy it even as we live a strong Christian life, a real open testimony to all others.
Personally, I think it is wrong to categorize and classify individuals, especially by age. It may be acceptable to identify lifestyle, preferences and priorities, but to assert that a young person of a certain age is therefore a member of the category GEN-Z is ridiculous and dead wrong.
In essence, and at the bottom line, every human being is an individual created by God Almighty, and that individual, no matter ethnicity, color of skin, place of birth, or otherwise is only a member of one of two categories of human beings:
- THE REDEEMED AND THE UNREDEEMED,
- BELIEVERS IN JESUS CHRIST AND NONBELIEVERS,
- SAVED BY GRACE OR LOST.
No other class or category of human beings matters to the great God of Abraham, and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, none at all.
But, if one by one, individual by individual, the younger generation turns from progressive lies and insanity and searches for something far more meaningful, real, and true, let the revival begin and flourish.
Barna thinks at least 77% are interested and motivated to learn about religion and Jesus. I hope that is true, don’t you? 52%, the Barna research showed, are very interested, and only 16% are uninterested and unmotivated.
So, my fellow Christians, let our Jesus lights so shine before men that they may see our (His) good works, and glorify our Father in Heaven.
Now seems a wonderful time for revival in America!
But a turn towards religion can well be a wrong turn. Religion is not the answer and in fact, religion can eventually drive a seeker of Christian truth away from the goal.
Religion as such is often dry, man-made, ritualistic, and unfulfilling. It is, of course, a real asset to worship and fellowship with other believers and seekers and to participate at least to some extent in the life of religion and the church. But the real goal, the real ultimate life fulfillment, is nothing short of:
A PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS CHRIST.
The person himself, the carpenter from Nazareth, the man on the cross, resurrected the third day, the Savior of the world, to know HIM is to know life eternal and to know with absolute certainty the real and full meaning of life itself.
In the United Kingdom (UK), so called religion has become even more eroded and corrupted than in America. GOD WAS DEAD, so the saying goes, but now, it seems at least according to one author that:
GOD IS MAKING A COMEBACK.
That to me is sacrilegious and disrespectful, obviously the words of a non-Christian, one who has never met Jesus Christ, but at least the trend toward atheism and the indifference to real faith may be coming to an end.
Faith is critical for a fulfilled life, and we should never forget the words, the admonitions of the Apostle Paul, who told us that there are only three things that abide and will last this life and beyond:
FAITH
HOPE
LOVE
All come to us as spiritual products from Jesus Christ.
I for one will never think of any individual as Gen-Z, or Millennials, or Baby Boomer, or those real old folk like me, who have been disrespectfully termed:
THE SILENT GENERATION.
I know any number of elderly individuals and I don’t know of any, none at all, who are in any way:
SILENT.
In fact, aging and maturing can indeed make the vocal chords more active, louder, and a real dispenser of experiential wisdom. Classify, my fellow Americans and Christians, no individual as members of a class, generalized not, but search out, listen to and relate to every human being as an individual God created no matter the age, gender, or ethnicity.
Each of them, and YOU AND I, are either, as scripture says, sinners on the one hand, or sinners saved by Grace on the other. Again, no other class or category of human beings ultimately matters, none at all.
Religion can never be the answer, never. Relationship, redemption from Jesus Christ, is the only answer to the meaning of life:
