There’s much to unpack as Democrats blame former President Trump for the upheaval across cities. However, the discussion raises a crucial question: When blame is placed, who takes responsibility? Additionally, insights are shared on the effectiveness of sanctuary policies, with opinions from listeners and conservatives aligning on what the true issues might be. Join Mike Gallagher for a riveting episode that not only looks at political consequences but also places audience voices at the forefront.

He’s the happy conservative warrior, Mike Gallagher, broadcasting across hundreds of radio stations nationwide and seen on your trusted conservative TV network, Salem News Channel. Here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 15 :
Holy moly, are you ready for an action-packed Monday after the weekend we had? Where do you want to start? I have no idea where to begin. I’ve got so much to tackle today, and we’re going to do it together, as we always do here on the Mike Gallagher Show. Welcome in. Hope you’re ready to go. Hope you’re ready for a week that might be enormously eventful. You want to start with the L.A. riots and the Democrats blaming Trump? You want to start with Terry Moran getting suspended at ABC for his seemingly unhinged, wild-eyed rant against Stephen Miller and President Trump late Friday night into early Saturday morning? You want to start with Maxine Waters getting the door slammed in her face when she grandstanded and showed up at one of the ICE detention facilities in Los Angeles? You want to start with Greta Thunberg on her boat, her little merry band of sailors sailing to Gaza with some strange, bizarre trip to stand with the Palestinians, which is what Greta Thunberg is now. I don’t even know where to begin. You start with me, 800-655-MIKE. I mean, I think the biggest news story, of course— is the coverage and the response of the media. You got a bunch of bad actors rioting in L.A., and they’re because of the mass deportations, the wildly popular mass deportations, I might add. And the media is trying the summer of love, mostly peaceful protests again. It’s like a Tourette syndrome, like a tick. They can’t stop themselves. Mostly peaceful. It’s like calling January 6th an insurrection. They couldn’t ever stay away from the word insurrection every single time they use it. Gosh, the media is so bad. They’re just horrible. And, of course, it’s exemplified by Terry Moran’s obvious bias. And we’ll get to all of that, too. Here’s an example. Of a reporter, I mean, let’s look at local reporters from it. I happen to have the local CBS affiliate here in Tampa Bay on last night. It’s what do they call it, Action 10, or is it ABC? It’s Channel 10. And there was a young female anchor, and she was covering the riots in L.A., the anti-ICE, anti-law and order, pro-illegal immigrant riots, you know, the ones with all the Mexican flags as they were assaulting cops and raining down terror on the streets of L.A. The local anchor here in Tampa Bay on Channel 10 said, looks into the camera and admits she claimed 55% of Americans are in favor of Trump’s mass deportation effort. And then she got excited and she said, but 44% are opposed. Well, if 55% are in favor of it, probably, and I wonder what the other 1%, where they went. That was an actual, I heard that with my own ears and watched with my own eyes. And she got excited about the 44% who opposed because those people matter more than the majority of us who voted for the mass deportations. Here’s the reporter from ABC. You’ve got to hear this. How about let’s go to L.A.? ? This is the ABC local news reporter in Los Angeles, ABC7. Now, thanks to X and thanks to intrepid people with cell phone cameras, we can all see what’s going on there, right? We all see what’s happening. Here they go again.
SPEAKER 01 :
Demonstrations have been going on right outside the federal detention center. Most of those demonstrations were very peaceful. They were chanting, they were shouting. People were driving by honking their horns. And again, they were expressing their anger about the detention of so many immigrants at the federal center.
SPEAKER 15 :
Screaming at her. They’re up in her face. They’re yelling at her. There’s burning cars in the background. They’re mostly peaceful. Very peaceful. They’re not sort of peaceful. They’re very peaceful. How about Dana Bash on CNN? Get ready for this doozy.
SPEAKER 09 :
I just want to just state for the record that what did happen in 1992 was so different from what we’re seeing now. I mean, that was a real riot that went all across the city of Los Angeles after a verdict in the Rodney King case. This is a situation where… The L.A. County police, it’s not good, but they’re saying that they have it under control and the president is sending national troops, federal troops in a way that hasn’t been done in a long time.
SPEAKER 17 :
We can look at this and we can obviously see that it is not under control. It’s not under control. You and I both can see that. It’s not under control. And a riot is a riot.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, that’s Mark Wayne Mullen. Yes, a riot is a riot. Now, according to Dana Bash, what’s happening in L.A. isn’t really a riot. It’s not a real riot. I mean, Kamala Harris is claiming that the protests were overwhelmingly peaceful. That’s the latest doozy from her. Look, all I can do is count on normal people to see what’s going on here. But I don’t know if we can. I don’t know. At this point, I’m at a loss. I’m praying for normalcy. Normal people can say, people are rioting in L.A. because of the deportation of illegals, and rioting isn’t Trump’s fault. Trump sending in the National Guard is an attempt… to restore peace and law and order. To blame Trump for sending in the troops is insane. I mean, and of course, what Dana Bash was pushing back against is, I’m sure Mark Wayne Mullen was saying, look, we brought in the troops in L.A. during the Rodney King riots. It’s happened before. I mean, when cities were failing to desegregate, the National Guard was everywhere. Remember when Kennedy sent in the troops? When George Wallace wouldn’t desegregate? I’ll bet that was just fine then, right? To the left? So, they’re nuts. There’s no question they’re nuts. The question for me is whether normal Americans who have to make big decisions with the midterm elections Normal Americans have to make a big decision about 2028. Will normal Americans recognize the insanity of the loony left? In other words, do normal people sit back and watch this and say, wait a minute, you’re blaming Trump for law enforcement and the military trying to keep the peace against these violent anarchists? You think that’s Trump’s fault? I mean, in California, every California crisis is blamed on Trump. The wildfires? Trump’s fault. The empty water reservoirs? Trump’s fault. Budget deficit? His fault. And now the riots in L.A.? His fault. What does Gavin Newsom take responsibility for? What does Maxine Waters take responsibility for? What does Mayor Karen Bass take responsibility for? And, of course, you know the answer is nothing. Absolutely nothing. So let’s dive in here in the Relief Factor studios. Whenever there’s a bunch of events like this, I always turn to you, 1-800-655-MIKE. Let’s put your voice front and center. Let’s see if you can make some sense of it all. We’ll start with my question. Do you think normal Americans are going to recognize what’s really happening in Los Angeles? Do you think normal Americans, voters, citizens, are capable of recognizing things? the kooky, wacky, radicalized Democrat Party. Are Democrats standing up against this insanity? Of course not. They embrace it. Will we win over normals? As Democrats blame Trump for this L.A. protest violence, will normal people see through that? Or will that attempt work? Do you think that they’ll prevail and they’ll convince enough of the people who are watching from the sidelines that somehow Trump is to blame for the riots and the protests and the violence in cities all over America. Laura Loomer posted earlier today, what you’re seeing in LA is about to happen all over the country. I hope she’s wrong. I’m afraid she’s right. 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. One number does it all. Call or text. I hope you join us. Here on the Mike Gallagher Show for Big Breaking News Monday, PhD weight loss has changed my life. And I’ve got a little secret for you. SPEAKER 15 :
Of all the lies being told about the riots in L.A., perhaps the biggest one is that they are organic. They’re spontaneous. It’s just a natural reaction to illegals being deported. The Trump deportation policy is enormously popular in the United States. All the polling confirms it. The majority of Americans are absolutely fine with Trump trying to pick up the pieces of the Democrats and Biden’s broken border policies. We understand there’s a lot of bad people here. And unfortunately, when you’re an illegal immigrant, you’re going to get swept up in the deportation effort, largely because of the bad people. But you can’t evade or escape the fact that you broke the law to begin with. Unfortunately, this is a byproduct of what happens when millions of people invade our country. When millions of people pour into America as a direct result of these policies. I just saw a clip on CNN that is stunning because it sums everything up. And all of it can be summed up pretty simply. This is more of the same, a continual pattern in America with paid protesters and anarchists and invaders. Look at the history. Occupy Wall Street. I remember walking through Zuccotti Park in lower Manhattan and looking at these degenerates who are doing all kinds of things in the park and complaining about Wall Street, Black Lives Matter riots, the George Floyd riots, and now the anti-ICE riots. These are absolute bought-and-paid-for performances. NGOs are behind this. Big, rich leftists are behind this. Nobody is organically taking to the street and breaking off a chunk of sidewalk and hurling it at the head of a cop. That’s not an organic protest. That’s a rioter. That’s a terrorist. That’s somebody who needs to spend a long time behind bars. But we’re used to this by now. There’s nothing unique about this. There’s no reason to get… upset or panic because these masked rioters, these masked anarchists, these Antifa, violent, dangerous people represent one side of the political spectrum. You’re not hearing a lot of Democrats condemning them, are you? And this clip from CNN says, took my breath away. I think I’m stunned because it aired on CNN. Now, the way it was positioned on CNN, they’re kind of finding fault with the CNN anchor for cutting the discussion short. Look, I’m just glad they let as much of it air as they did because this sums everything up perfectly. Before you go down the road of trying to buy into the blaming Trump Blaming Trump, as they always do. They blame Trump for everything. In California, they blamed him for the wildfires. They blamed him for the empty water reservoirs. They blamed him for everything. Gavin Newsom’s got nowhere else to go. That shouldn’t be a surprise. Why wouldn’t they blame Trump? They can’t blame themselves. But what do you think a normal American thinks when they see all these riots happening? conducted by people waving Mexican flags. You want to know what they think? Let me translate it for you. If you’re a kooky leftist who happened to have found this show, let me interpret it for you. You know what normal people think when they see riots and rocks and bottles and projectiles and pepper spray and assaults on law enforcement and assaults on the National Guard in Los Angeles and they see people waving Mexican flags while doing it? You know what they think? Normal people? Invasion. That’s the only word that comes to normal people’s minds. Invasion. These are invaders. These are people who have invaded our country. I got to play this clip. This one will blow you away. This was from social media. Happened to repost it from an exchange. There’s an anchor and two political analysts. I don’t know who the political analysts are. One’s a guy. One’s a gal. The man speaks complete normal truth. The woman doesn’t know what to do. The woman pulls the equivalent of Jackie Gleason’s Humana, Humana, Humana, Humana when he speaks truth about what’s happening in California.
SPEAKER 08 :
Brad, what are you thinking? Well, we got to this moment because California has a sanctuary policy. The state law forbids local law enforcement from cooperating with or local government from cooperating with immigration enforcement. We have immigration laws that govern the entire land, and California is willfully ignoring them. California’s left-wing politicians set this up. If California had long been cooperating and helping enforce immigration laws all along the way, this would not be…
SPEAKER 10 :
It’s not the whole state. You do know that some of this is jurisdictions. There are certain towns that do. But there are certain towns that absolutely have cooperated with federal authorities.
SPEAKER 07 :
Shouldn’t they all?
SPEAKER 10 :
You know, this is part of the issue that is always interesting here is when Republicans want to talk about states’ rights, it’s about states’ rights when it is something that they’re interested in and not when it is something that perhaps Democrats and their states are interested in.
SPEAKER 08 :
And so I think… We’ve all agreed on what immigration laws are. There’s not a state… We’re going to talk about this more in the hour.
SPEAKER 15 :
I want to bring in Steve… I don’t know what her name is. I have no idea what her name is. But when she says, well, there are some little towns and little communities in California that are willing to cooperate with ICE, he says, shouldn’t they all? Shouldn’t they all? Shouldn’t they all? Shouldn’t every town, and she turns into a debate, and she turns it into a conversation about states’ rights because she doesn’t know what else to do. She doesn’t know what else to say. Oh, my gosh. That clip is perfect. That clip is amazing. And it does say it all. You want sanctuary cities? You want sanctuary states? That’s what you got. That’s what you got. What you’re seeing in California is a direct result of Democrats’ sanctuary status. Giving illegals a safe haven. Which, frankly, is very unfair to the illegals. But ultimately… ultimately leads to the kind of destruction and violence and riots we’re witnessing in a state like California. Prove me wrong. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. The guy’s name is Brad Todd. I don’t know what the woman’s name is. He’s described as a political analyst on CNN. But thank goodness, look, I’ve got to give CNN a little credit here. They let it air. They didn’t completely shut him down. What a time to be alive. And again, don’t despair. Normal people see this. Normal people are keeping track. Normal Americans are keeping score. And I like our chances in the midterm elections. I like normal people saying, I don’t want that in my city. I don’t want these invaders and insurrectionists and rioters and anarchists in my state. I like our chances. I’m not down about this at all. Actually, I’m feeling pretty positive. I hate it for what the normal good people of California are going through. But look, this is the underbelly. This is the weakness. This is the Achilles heel of today’s Democrat Party. 800-655-MIKE. Got a lot to unpack today. Welcome into the Relief Factor Studios. 800-655-6453. I hope you join us. One number does it all. One call. You can text or call. But I want to put your voice front and center here on this Monday episode of the Mike Gallagher Show. I hope you join us. 800-655-6453. SPEAKER 15 :
That CNN clip, man, oh man, that’s wild. If you’re watching on Salem News Channel, live shot of our nation’s capital. You see the majestic Washington Monument up against a cloudy sky. Of course, we’re thrilled to always be joining you on AM570, The Answer, in the Washington, D.C. area. Christian, can we play that again? Let’s play it one more time. This is astounding to me that this is a guy This Brad Todd, and he’s an author, and he wrote The Great Revolt, and it’s one of those conservative voices that they allow on CNN. He’s clearly debating a liberal, and the poor liberal woman doesn’t. just does not know what to say when this guy points out the obvious. It’s Democrats’ sanctuary city and state policies. California is a sanctuary state, thanks to Gavin Newsom. This is their mistake. These riots are a direct result of their policies. And I’ve got to play this clip, if you missed it, one more time. Brad, what are you thinking?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, we got to this moment because California has a sanctuary policy. The state law forbids local law enforcement from cooperating with, or local government from cooperating with immigration enforcement.
Yeah, but there are certain towns that absolutely have graded with federal authorities.
SPEAKER 07 :
Shouldn’t they all?
SPEAKER 10 :
You know, this is part of the issue that is always interesting here is when Republicans want to talk about states’ rights, it’s about states’ rights.
SPEAKER 15 :
I mean, she’s absolutely dumbfounded. She is stunned into silence when he asks a simple question. Shouldn’t every city, oh, I don’t know, Los Angeles, cooperate with ICE? as she tries to give her pathetic excuse that there’s some little, you know, township somewhere in Northern California that might cooperate with ICE. Holy moly. 800-655-MIKE. Let’s go. Let me get your call under this show to get your reaction to all of this insanity. Bob’s in Jacksonville, Florida. Again, one open line, 800-655-MIKE. Hi, Bob. Hey, how you doing, Mike? Good, how are you? I’m great. I live in Florida. Yes, I hear you. You and me both, brother. Although, you know what? I saw a note. I’m sorry to interrupt you, but I saw something on social media that they’ve got anti-ice protests planned for Tampa Bay this afternoon at 3 o’clock. Have you heard anything about protests coming to Florida? No, I haven’t.
SPEAKER 18 :
My son lives over there, but they’ll squash it.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, they don’t mess around here. They don’t mess around in Florida.
SPEAKER 18 :
Not at all. Not anymore, which is a good thing. It’s a good thing. I just wanted to say that everybody keeps forgetting that the reason ICE was in L.A. in the first place was to go after a business that is trafficking and laundering for the cartel. So why wouldn’t every Californian want that to happen? Then Gavin Newsom took two days before he came out and said it was an unlawful assembly to And with regard to the National Guard, they’re not on the streets. They’re defending, they’re protecting federal buildings. Exactly. Which you can see Maxine Waters attacking them at a federal building.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, I’ve got to play anti-Maxine. Thanks for reminding me, Bob. I’ve got to play Maxine Waters. First she gets the door slammed on her face as she tries to barge into an ice room. detention facility and then she starts browbeating men and women of the national guard who are standing there with their with their weapons drawn it’s hysterical it’s absolutely a riot uh you’ll wait till you hear that that’s we got that coming up for you as well you’re not going to stick around for maxine waters on full display on full loony loony display
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, Maria, first off, thank you for having me here. It’s always nice to answer the listeners’ questions.

SPEAKER 15 :
I want to ask you an honest, heartfelt question. Let’s end the hour with a bunch of phone calls with answers to this question. Whatever you think, however you feel, give me your gut, give me your instincts. Does what’s happening in California and maybe in other parts of the country, because Laura Loomer, I know, on social media said she thinks this is going to start happening, these riots are going to happen all over the country. I saw something late last night that said they’re scheduling protests and demonstrations in Tampa, here in Tampa Bay, today. Are those going to turn violent, too? Is the summer of love going to take place in various blue cities all over America like it did in 2020 after George Floyd? Let me ask you a question. Do you think all of this helps or hurts President Trump and his agenda? Give me your honest reaction to that question. As you’re witnessing Gavin Newsom now promising to sue the federal government over the presence of the National Guard, as you see these ridiculous reporters standing in front of burning cars and saying these are mostly peaceful, here we go again with the mostly peaceful protests. It’s like they’ve learned nothing from 2020. So my question to you. And let’s do a lightning round to get a bunch of calls in here. Do you think all of this helps or hurts President Trump and his agenda? 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. As you saw, maybe you were glued to social media over the weekend. You saw the mostly peaceful riots. Yeah, real peaceful. Do you think the Democrats’ response, Maxine Waters and all of this clown show of Democrats… Does this help or hurt President Trump and his agenda? 800-655-6453. As you’re calling, maybe you’ll consider the latest declaration from CNN’s data guy. The data guy is a fellow named Harry Enten. Check out what he said today on CNN.
SPEAKER 13 :
Why are people approving of Trump on immigration? Approve of these different immigration actions while Trump’s administration’s programmed to deport those here illegally. Look at this. 54% approval. How about agents searching your hometown for those that they think are here illegally? Again. Positive territory here, above 50% for Donald Trump. So it’s not just on the broad issue of immigration where Trump is doing well. It’s on the specifics. When you dive into the issues, Trump is above 50% and his actions are above 50%, at least with those most directly connected to what’s going on right now out in Los Angeles. Okay, so there you go.
SPEAKER 15 :
That’s CNN reporting that Trump has an approval of the majority of Americans Admittedly, it’s a small majority, but it’s 54 percent. Last night, I saw that poor young woman say 55 percent. I think it was a CBS poll. Majority of Americans like what he’s doing. Does this hurt or help? Curtis in Dallas, Texas. Hey, Curtis, what do you think?
SPEAKER 16 :
I think it helps him. I just want to live my life, drive down the road, go to the grocery store. I don’t want to see all these rioters and protesters.
SPEAKER 17 :
I know.
SPEAKER 16 :
You want to protest?
SPEAKER 15 :
Go protest where the problem is. Or go protest peacefully. You don’t need to throw rocks at police officers or spray them with pepper spray. I saw one video of there were actual look like Hispanic business owners who were pouring water on the faces and trying to provide aid and assistance to law enforcement who had been assaulted by some of these jerks with pepper spray and bear spray and mace. Appreciate the call. John in Hartford, Connecticut. Does this help or hurt the Trump agenda, John? John, you there? All right, let’s try Alejandro in Illinois. Hi, Alejandro. How are you? Good. How are you? I’m great. Do you think this helps or hurts his agenda? It’s going to hurt. Tell me why it’s going to hurt.
SPEAKER 16 :
It’s going to help him.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, it’s going to help him. Oh, okay. Yeah. Let him do it. All right. Good deal. Tyra in Arlington, Texas. Hi, Tyra. How are you? Hi, good. How are you? I’m great. What do you think? Will these riots and the Democrats’ response help Trump and his agenda or hurt it?
SPEAKER 02 :
I think it will help it. I mean, just like everything else that we’ve seen the past four years, everything that they’ve accused Trump of has always been a projection of what they’re doing. And this is just, I mean, we’re seeing an insurrection in lifetime.
SPEAKER 15 :
This is like what an insurrection actually looks like. I mean, when you’re impeding and assaulting federal ICE agents and LAPD and the National Guard, the few that they are, isn’t that kind of insurrection-y? I mean, I don’t know. The Democrats seem to think that Trump telling people to go peacefully and patriotically, let their voices be heard, is an insurrection. So what is this if not an insurrection? When they’re saying double down. And boy, they double down. Let me give you a congressman from California. Check out, excuse me, this is a senator. This is courtesy of KTLA-TV in Los Angeles. I give you State Senator Alex Padilla.
SPEAKER 03 :
People have asked, what’s the message for the folks that are out there demonstrating? And my message is, keep protesting. Protest peacefully. Protest peacefully, for sure. But keep protesting, because Donald Trump wants one of two things. He either wants us to go away quietly and let him continue to abuse his power and overreach, or he wants folks to, as you’ve seen in the last couple of days, that have exploited the situation to justify his overreaction with bringing in the National Guard who threatened to bring in the Marines to restore order. That is not necessary and it’s counterproductive.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, is it counterproductive? You know what’s counterproductive? Throwing chunks of concrete at the heads of ICE agents. You know what’s counterproductive? Reigning machinery and weaponizing artifacts to throw at police. You think bringing in the National Guard is an overreaction? But what about the rioters? Senator Padilla. Look, we’re up against a lot right now, but I feel strangely calm about it all. I feel strongly that God’s in control. Halfway through the sermon of the pastor yesterday, I was thinking about a tool that we have at our disposal right now. We’ve got about another week or so to go in our Angel Tree campaign, and I’m asking for your help to help bless a child with a mom or dad in prison. Hey, look, many of these people on the streets of California right now who, as they’re arresting people, in fact, I’m looking here at the, this is from the AP, a number of the illegals arrested had serious crime records, including murder. But children who have a parent in prison, an American child, these are for American kids who have a parent in prison. You could sponsor them and send them to summer camp for a week, and it’s a very special kind of summer camp. Yeah, they’ve got the horseback riding and the canoeing and all that. They also get involved in Christ activities. centered activities that can transform their lives forever. $200 is all it costs to sponsor a child for a full week. And you know, right now we are at 655 kids. How about getting to 700 and whatever you can afford, please go to mikeonline.com. Click on that prison fellowship banner at the top of the page. You’ll see the counter too. You’ll see your donation takes about two or three minutes to kick in, but whatever you can afford. And thanks to the gentleman who gave us a big thousand dollar donation last hour. Let’s keep it going. MikeOnline.com. Let’s send these kids to summer camp. That’ll do it for an action-packed Monday. Great job to Alex Garrett in New York, holding down the fort while Eric is away for a couple of days with his mother-in-law’s funeral. Of course, Tracy, Teresa, the rest of the team, Christian, great job as well. Let’s do it again tomorrow, shall we? Have a great Monday. Be safe and keep fighting the good fight. I’m Mike Gallagher. God bless America.
SPEAKER 02 :
What a difference a day makes.
SPEAKER 14 :
Dinah Washington, what a difference a day makes, and here’s what I mean.
SPEAKER 17 :
24 little hours.
SPEAKER 14 :
Since I was doing the Stegall Show on one day Friday, the last time Mike and I got together, it was Thursday. The Trump versus Elon feud hadn’t even happened yet. Now it seems like that was a month ago. Holy cow. How time does fly. Every time you’re away. Every time you’re away. I wasn’t away. What do you mean? You were away from me.
SPEAKER 15 :
You were away from this show. Exactly. You think I care about Chris DeGaulle? You think I care about Hugh Hewitt? You think I care about Larry Elder? I care about the Eminem experience, and you’re off, and all you know what breaks loose. We got riots. We got Terry Moran. We got poor Maxine Waters having the door slammed in her face.
SPEAKER 14 :
Dogs and cats sleeping together.
SPEAKER 15 :
We’ve got Greta Thunberg being on the selfie boat on the Madeline, the USS Madeline. We are being surrounded. Sound the alarm. Sound the alarm. I thought, what alarm does she want to have sounded? Boy, that poor thing. Let’s start there real quick because we’ve got so much to catch up on. Welcome back. I did listen to you. I should have boycotted, but I heard you Friday morning. You did great. You ruined my day again. You threw my whole game off. Because I start my morning, 7.35, and then everything else is good with the world. Let’s start with Greta Thunberg. Tracy just came in and said, did you hear what they’re going to make her do? I thought, oh, Lord, how are they going to make her do anything? The Israeli forces surrounded her boat. And for people who don’t know, Greta Thunberg, Thunberg, Thunberg.
SPEAKER 11 :
Thunberg.
SPEAKER 15 :
She’s now abandoned climate change to adopt the cause of Hamas and the Palestinians. She’s pro-Palestine.
SPEAKER 01 :
Shocker.
SPEAKER 15 :
I mean, color me shocked, Mark. So she decided to… Twelve of these kooks got on a boat, and they decided to sail to Gaza. That’s a little bit unlike the—a little bit different from the Patriots Alaska cruise.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yes, the food not quite as good.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, I don’t think there’s a spa. I don’t think there’s a spa on board. But she’s on this boat, I’m sure funded by some whack job billionaire, and she sails into Gaza, right? Well— The Israeli forces surround her and she’s on social media saying, sound the alarm, sound the alarm. We’re being surrounded. Well, they obviously kind of confiscated them.
SPEAKER 14 :
They detained them. Well, because the boat was in some improper waters. Correct. Believe you me, you might think Israel has a few security concerns, so there’s some no-go zones for the boating population.
SPEAKER 15 :
So now that they’ve got them, and of course she’s blabbing on social media, I’ve been kidnapped by the oppressive Israelis. I’ve been kidnapped. And so please sound the alarm, sound the alarm. Okay, I’m sounding the alarm. I set off my fog alarm. I put my… Well, but you know the video that I had to sit through and watch, the 37-minute video of the horrific things that the Hamas terrorists did on October 7th? And it was a video that not everybody saw. They limited it to a select amount of people because they didn’t want to hurt the families to have their loved ones exposed that way. The vulnerability is just unbelievable. They’re going to make Greta Thunberg watch that video. That’s her consequence for deciding to get on a boat and siding with Hamas. Israeli forces are going to sit her in front of a screen and have her watch those 37 minutes.
SPEAKER 14 :
As well they should.
SPEAKER 15 :
Isn’t that brilliant? It is. I don’t know if her heart… will be softened or not, but who cares? But I think that’s a novel way for maybe truth to prevail. Now, let’s go down the list of truth. I’ve been listening to you, of course, with your monologue today because I wanted to catch up with you. Terry Moran. I mean, I saw that Saturday morning. I got up. I thought, did he actually post that?
SPEAKER 14 :
This can’t be real. I mean, even for today’s reporters, it’s like a drunk text from Joe Scarborough.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, it was like a late-night drunk test. Maybe he got into the wine coolers or something and decided, I’m going to be… But he is… after all, considered to be an objective newsman. He just sat down with Trump a few weeks ago, remember, the one-on-one? He’s not an opinion guy. Now, let’s be clear here. A lot of people get this confused. They see a Laura Ingraham, they say, is she a news person? No. You see a Brett Baer, is he a news person? Yes. Terry Moran is a news guy, you know, but the ladies on ABC’s The View are not news people.
SPEAKER 14 :
Or when they go to the roundtable on This Week with Stephanopoulos and you have Donna Brazile and stuff like that, these are opinion people, commentators. Terry’s supposed to be a White House correspondent, a reporter.
SPEAKER 15 :
And neutral. Neutral. This is the thing, Mark. I mean, look, I get that we know they’re biased. Look, there’s two things I’m tired of bellyaching about. I’m tired of bellyaching about the Democrats blaming Trump for the riots, and I want to get to that in a moment. But I’m also tired about the media bias. We get it. We understand that. But here’s my question for you. Why is it so hard? to maintain at least a facade of objectivity. If you did a news story, if I said, Mark, if I’m the head of ABC News, and you’re a news, you’re a Terry Moran, and I said, go out and cover the Trump administration for a week. Why is it so difficult, despite your perhaps leftist bias, because you’re Terry Moran, why would it be so hard to say, okay, here’s the one side. This is what the critics say. On the other side, here’s what the White House says. Why is that so difficult for the Terry Morans of the world to do?
SPEAKER 14 :
I have your answer, Mike Gallagher. The answer is twofold. Number one, they don’t want to. Today’s reporter class knows that activism boils within its bloodstream, and they are doing exactly what they wish to do. This objectivity thing, this covering both sides thing, okay, boomer, if that’s what you want to do coming out of journalism school in the Carter administration, kind of like I did, then that’s fine, but that’s not what we do anymore. And reason number two is, it’s no longer expected by the bosses. But it’s But the ivory towers of management no longer deliver the wonderful lecture that you just did. Go out there and be fair. Go out there and be objective. They don’t care anymore. But here’s the thing.
SPEAKER 15 :
It would work. The thing that is crazy to me is you say they don’t want to, but it would be profitable. And look, they are tanking, Mark. They’re at an all-time low. You know, there’s one little spunky network that seems to be kind of trying that. News Nation, have you been on it?
SPEAKER 14 :
Chris Cuomo.
SPEAKER 15 :
Chris Cuomo. I mean, they try. I think they make an effort. And incidentally, I saw one of their reporters get harassed and harangued. She was trying to cover the riots in L.A. They went after her and screamed that you’re in the tank for Trump and blah, blah, blah. She made her composure. She was wonderful. But I’m mystified. They are ultimately in the ratings and revenue business. And so at the end of the day, why don’t you do what would be better for ratings and revenue? Fox News beats MSNBC and CNN combined all the time. All the time. Fox News is beating ABC, NBC, and CBS in primetime. Did you know that? They’re getting bigger numbers now than ABC, NBC, or CBS many nights. So obviously a formula, and you see both views.
SPEAKER 14 :
You see Jessica Tarloff. This is the most important thing because the Fox product, you think, well, that’s just the mirror image of the virulent leftist MSNBC product. No. Liberals get more airtime and more fair time, one might say, more fair treatment. I see Libs on Fox all the time. I mean, they’re getting argued with. They’re engaged in constructive debate. But from Tarloff to Harold Ford Jr. to others, they have a genuinely good time in an atmosphere of goodwill.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, and look at the one show that performs relatively well on CNN. That’s the Abby Phillips Roundtable. And look at look at the presence they have. They have conservatives. They’ve got Scott Jennings. They’ve got the other guy. What’s his name? Sure, Michael. Or I mean, they’ve got two or three conservatives there that hold their own. They often bring on our buddy Arthur Idalla, the legal guy, the lawyer from New York. So anyway, I just I’m mystified by that. Let’s look at the riots for just a moment. I’m also tired about. Of course they’re blaming Trump. And it hit me late last night because I’m reading what they’re saying. Oh, Daily Beast says Trump fueled the flames and poured the gas on the fire. Newsom is blaming Trump. That radical former Cuba leftist crazy at Karen Bass, the mayor. Blaming Trump. Well, of course they’re going to blame Trump. They have to blame Trump. What else are they going to do? Are they going to take responsibility for their own failed policies? These are Democrats that are lighting buildings on fire. And we’re back again, Mark, to the mostly peaceful protests. I know. You’ve seen the video, right?
SPEAKER 14 :
And it was the LAPD itself that said that the protests were mostly peaceful, proving we have some corrupt management of the LAPD.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, my gosh. Yeah, but the LAPD is also starting to change their tune and say things like, yeah, National Guard, maybe not such a bad idea after all. That’s right. I mean, but normal people, here’s what I like. You can’t be normal and blame Trump for the riots in L.A. You just can’t. No. What is a president supposed to do? Karen Bass has encouraged these protests. Democrat legislators, you’ve seen these kooky, wacky, far-left Democrat politicians in L.A. and statewide say, keep it up, keep protesting. Okay, people are saying, okay, I’ll do that, sure thing, Mayor Bass. So if they’re not going to quell the violence, what else is Trump supposed to do? There’s a long history of presidents sending in the troops. And guess what? Just because Trump does it doesn’t make it any different from any of the other presidents.
SPEAKER 14 :
One thing that’s a little different about this one is it’s often after the governor has requested it. Gavin Newsom, not only is he not requesting it, you see Gavin Newsom in the back and forth with the NBC reporter telling Tom Holman, come get me, tough guy. Arrest me.
SPEAKER 15 :
Let’s go. Arrest me. Look, Trump was asked about that, and he said, you know what? If we find out that leaders of cities or counties or state have obstructed the enforcement of the law, they could be facing charges. And would you put that past the Trump administration?
SPEAKER 14 :
No, I would not. Now, Mike, in our last couple of minutes, I know the entire story has risen, bitten America in the butt, and seems to have receded completely. What was your Friday show like? And Trump versus Elon, the three-day DVD set? Because it seems to be. Elon is a nut. This just in, the guy is a big, giant baby. So you may get a weird tantrum like this every once in a while.
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, I don’t know if he’s a nut. No harm, no foul.
SPEAKER 14 :
He’s a total nut. In some ways. Like many geniuses. Oh, please. He’s a visionary. He’s a genius. He’s also out of his flipping mind sometimes.
SPEAKER 15 :
He appears to regret what he did. If you haven’t paid attention or followed this, he’s deleted all of his tweets. All the Epstein nonsense. He’s allegedly reached out to the White House. And I’m not sure President Trump is going to be in a kiss and make up mood. Not right away. Let him stew on this for a little while. Let him stew. But we don’t need this. And the mood, to your question about Friday, the overall mood was just one of kind of sadness. Like there’s no need for this. It’s something that isn’t necessary. They both bring so much to the table. They’re so… They’ve been so prominent. I think Elon is going through something. I hate to speculate about somebody’s personal life. A lot of speculation has been about the ketamine that he admits to taking. I don’t know. I’m absolutely mad.
SPEAKER 14 :
I think this is just him. I think we’re looking for some reason. I think it’s just him. I mean, once again, for the millionth time, Walter Isaacson biography every once in a while in his entire life, business life, personal life. He just weirds out in some colossal way. And then it gets and then it gets better in like an hour or two.
SPEAKER 15 :
Maybe. But don’t you find it bizarre that when people turn on Trump? They turn on him like nothing you’ve ever seen. I mean, it’s not like lukewarm. It’s not like, well, just like a cooling off. Well, Trump’s not lukewarm. No, but why do when they… It’s kind of like Newton’s law, you know. But when they turn on him, my gosh, it’s so personal and it’s so visceral. It’s so… Off the charts, look at the list of people that have just gone bonkers. It’s what my friend Mark Davis always says, Trump derangement syndrome makes smart people dumb and makes nice people mean. And funny people, I don’t know, I don’t get it, but I don’t think he suffers from Trump derangement syndrome.
SPEAKER 14 :
Oh, no, no, no, not at all. I mean, that’s what was so weird and ironic, and as you said… for about a day, sad, now just perplexing, I think we’re done here, is that their Venn diagrams overlap so much. They both love the country. They both want responsible government. The difference between Trump and Elon, Trump understands government.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, all I know is just stay put for a while because every time you go away from here, I’ve got to get my house in order.
SPEAKER 14 :
I was here. I was doing two shows on Friday.
SPEAKER 15 :
No, no, no, no, no. As far as I was concerned, you were in the wilderness. You were gone. I’m sorry. So come back. We’ll see you Tuesday. Happy Monday.
SPEAKER 14 :
And let’s buckle up for a big week. We are ready. Mike is here. We’re both actually here. Confirm that. Mike gets going as soon as we’re done. 10 a.m. right here on 660 AM. The answer. 660 AM.
