SPEAKER 11 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior, Mike Gallagher, broadcasting across hundreds of radio stations nationwide and seen on your trusted conservative TV network, Salem News Channel. Here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 14 :
We are so back, aren’t we? Isn’t it fun to watch Caroline Leavitt in action in the White House? Got tons of breaking news today. Tragically, an Air India passenger jet crashed in western India. It looks like hundreds are dead. One of those Dreamliner 787s, they’ve been talking about having some issues. And, look, this is so morbid. As usual, though, in the era of social media, they have video of the plane going down. I don’t want to play it. I just don’t want to put it up on Salem News Channel. I just always think about trying to respect the families of those who know that their loved one was on that plane. And I just, I hate putting those videos up. But there is video if you want to go out and try to find it. Somebody was, I don’t know, you just wonder what happens. And for any of us who fly a lot, you think about this. You think, could that happen to me? Could we be on a, could you or I be on a plane that takes off and then suddenly goes down? after takeoff, crashing just very close to the airport. I don’t know. Something catastrophic obviously happened to that Dreamliner, that Boeing 787, and you pray for the families and all of the loved ones. That, of course, is kind of my nightmare, that you think about the way you want to go out, the way you want to die, I don’t want it to be a plane crash because there’s too much time. You know, there’s got to be time between the point that you realize something awful is happening and you’re going down. I’m so afraid of falling. The dropping sensation… is one of the worst sensations in the world. My kids dragged me onto the Tower of Terror once at Disney World, where you’re in this giant supposed elevator, and the cable snaps, wink, wink, and the elevator plummets to the ground, and you drop. I’m the same way with roller coasters. So just the thought of those poor souls on a passenger jet on an Air India flight into London, but taking off in India and crashing. Just an awful, awful, catastrophic event. And, you know, we certainly are praying for all of those impacted by this terrible, terrible accident. Meanwhile, no accident in the White House. The White House press briefing. Holy moly. Caroline Levitt. I don’t know what’s going to happen Saturday. What is it? The no Kings Day? And it’s a funny thing. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I’m not bothered by these protests at all, provided they stay peaceful. And I just worry about everybody that’s going to be near them. I worry about somebody getting hurt or killed. I don’t know what it’s going to look like. But if there’s a massive anti-mass deportation protest, okay. Okay. Okay. I mean, it’s what I talked about yesterday with you about navigating through being uncomfortable with deporting an illegal immigrant who hasn’t broken any laws since their original lawlessness of being an illegal. And people feel uncomfortable with that. But Trump promised this was going to happen. I suspect there are people surprised that illegals who have not committed any crimes over the possible years that they’ve been living here are being deported. I guess they thought mass deportation, as promised by President Trump, only meant people who were dangerous. Maybe that’s their thinking. I don’t know. But, of course, President Trump wants peace. Of course he wants security and safety. He wants law and order. And a reporter got in the crosshairs of this young, fierce press secretary yesterday, Caroline Leavitt, who clearly doesn’t suffer fools.
SPEAKER 04 :
The president warned that any protests on Saturday would be met with force. Can you clarify what kind of protest President Trump does support or find acceptable?
SPEAKER 03 :
The president absolutely supports peaceful protests. He supports the First Amendment. He supports the right of Americans to make their voices heard. He does not support violence of any kind. He does not support assaulting law enforcement officers who are simply trying to do their job. It’s very clear for the president what he supports and what he does not. Unfortunately for Democrats, that line has not been made clear, and they’ve allowed this unrest and this violence to continue, and the president has had to step in. So if there were peaceful protests on Saturday for the military parade, President Trump would allow that? Of course the president supports peaceful protests. What a stupid question.
SPEAKER 14 :
What a stupid question. What a stupid, of course he supports it. Who doesn’t think he supports peaceful protest? What’s he ever said? I mean, going back to January 6th, I know you’re going to go peacefully and patriotically let your voice be heard. And, you know, it’s not pleasant if they’re protesting against me, I’m sure he’s thinking. But on the other hand, peaceful protest is a tenant of American life. You feel strongly about something, go make a sign and go stand out there and protest. So what do you think will happen Saturday? Are you bothered by these protesters? Because again, I am absolutely 100% non-plussed by them i could care less good for them go protest go walk around and say you don’t want to see illegals deported you have the right to feel that way if you call this show and tell me you don’t like to see illegals deported you absolutely have the right to feel that way You’re going to have to cope because it’s going to keep happening. It’s not stopping. If you think that peaceful protest against the mass deportation will stop the mass deportation, you must not know President Trump very well. You must not appreciate the resolve and the will of the grown-ups who are in charge who are going to continue what the American people expect President Trump to do. Not all, of course, but a majority. That’s why he won. That’s exactly why he won. But let me just ask you, what do you think will happen Saturday during the No Kings protest? 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. We want to welcome you in. It’s Thursday, June 12th. Brian Wilson passed away from the Beach Boys. Knock yourself out. Get out the crayons and make your sign. Have a good time. Just stay peaceful. Don’t get violent. Don’t disrupt traffic. Don’t break the law. Or you very well could wind up in the who’s scow. 800-655-6453. I hope you join us. Ph.D. weight loss has changed my life. And I’ve got a little secret for you. SPEAKER 11 :
Mike Gallagher. Breaking now on the Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 14 :
All right, this is big. Are you uncomfortable with the mass deportations? Are you a little squeamish with the very aggressive policy? And look, I confessed yesterday. I have been a little bit. And I got talked back to earth. by a lot of common sense people who said, Mike, we can’t have open borders. We can’t have an invitation. Well, listen to this. Minutes ago, President Trump just posted something that probably will blow your mind. Check out his tweet moments ago on Truth Social. He said, our great farmers… And people in the hotel and leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good longtime workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace. He said in many cases, the criminals allowed into our country by the very stupid Biden open borders policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good, President Trump said. We must protect our farmers, but get the criminals out of the USA. You ready for this? Changes are coming. Wow. Okay. So President Trump, moments ago, hinted that his very aggressive policy on immigration may change after learning that this mass deportation is negatively impacting the hotel and leisure business and farmers. Oh, boy. All right. Where do we go from here? Because, frankly, this is going to confound his critics and It’s going to possibly give the Maxine Waters of the world ammunition because they’re saying we hope he changes his mind. But maybe you’re thinking him changing his mind and softening the very aggressive policy right now on immigration is a good thing. And, wow, I mean, and this is on practically the eve of the No Kings protests on Saturday. What are they going to protest now if he backs off a little bit, if he backs down? This is gigantic because… First of all, and I know you’re going to call me a Trump sycophant, and I know you’re just going to say I’m kissing up and blah, blah, blah. But the truth is, this proves his willingness to listen to all sides of an issue and his willingness to adjust. Look, not everything is going to get done in a day. Rome wasn’t built in a day. And this is complicated. It’s difficult. It’s painful. It’s hard to read about a guy in Idaho who illegally immigrated here when he was 18, married an American woman, raised four kids, and now is going to go back to Mexico. I don’t take any delight in that, nor should you. The family is disrupted. It’s hard. Of course, it goes back to his bad decision in the first place. And you don’t get to break the law and then not have any accountability for it. But, wow, this is going to be, I think, the post heard around the world. This is going to be a post. And again, it was just a few minutes ago. Let me read it to you one more time. And then I want, hey, Eric, clear the lines and just get reaction to President Trump’s apparent willingness to pump the brakes a little bit. And I want to see what you think. Because he’ll probably be criticized for it by the hardliners. He’ll be, and don’t think he’s going to get any credit from the Democrats. Not likely. Maybe John Fetterman. But let me read it to you one more time, and then you give me your reaction. This is what President Trump posted on Truth Social a few minutes ago. Quote, our great farmers and people in the hotel and leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long-time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace. In many cases, the criminals allowed into our country by the very stupid Biden open borders policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good, he said. We must protect our farmers. but get the criminals out of the USA. Changes are coming. Now, look, I don’t want to read way too much into this, but I will point out, as I try to analyze what President Trump is saying here, it’s back to making sure the criminals are deported, are kicked out of the country, but not people like the guy from Idaho, Sinobio Feliciano Galeano. So it sounds like President Trump is taking a look at making a change and backing off. Wow. Wow. Let’s… We’ll be right back. It’s a crazy sale from MyPillow.com. SPEAKER 11 :
Breaking now on the Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 14 :
Okay, this is going to be pretty big. We’ll see how the mainstream media touches this or how they handle this, how you’re going to react to it. And I got to believe it’ll probably create great debate. But President Trump moments ago tweeted out, posted on Truth Social, hinting that there are changes coming over the… Very aggressive policy on immigration, saying that he’s hearing from people in the hotel and leisure industry and our farmers that the very aggressive mass deportation is taking good longtime workers away from them, almost impossible to replace those jobs. And he said, in many cases, the criminals allowed into our country by the very stupid Biden open borders policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good, he said. We must protect our farmers, but get the criminals out of the country. Changes are happening. coming. Wow. Dick’s in North Carolina. I want to get a bunch of calls here, flood my phone lines with reaction to what President Trump just posted a few minutes ago on Truth Social. Hey, Dick, welcome to the show.
SPEAKER 12 :
I think it’s a sign of a great leader. He’s able to adjust to what the country needs. He’s going to face a lot of backlash on it, but by God, Trump is the man.
SPEAKER 14 :
I’m with you entirely. And I know you and I will be, oh, we’re in a cult and everything. Look, this shows his ability to adapt. Look, do you think Obama would ever have a willingness to back down from whatever policy they put into place? Trump is not a politician. This is not a guy who plays ball the way a traditional, you know, establishment politician does. And, of course, there’s pushback. Of course, there are people, like me even, who were like, I don’t know about the, if somebody, yeah, made a mistake and broke the law when they were 18, now they’re 50, and they’ve got four kids and three grandkids. do they get deported? Now, technically correct. Laws are laws. If you don’t have any laws, you got nothing. But here’s President Trump hinting, hinting that there might be a change coming. Jim’s in Chicago. Jim, you’re on the Mike Gallagher Show, 13 before the hour. Hello, Jim.
SPEAKER 13 :
Hi, how are you? Good show. You know, this is a very complicated subject. First of all, I think… The kids, DACA children and their parents, family’s been here for years. They’ve been here. A lot of them are productive people in homes, run businesses. You know, kids are in school and all sorts of things. Those people should also be considered for this because to send them back home wouldn’t be fair. Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute.
SPEAKER 14 :
Time out. So wait a minute. You mentioned the wife and the kids. Like this case I read to you from Idaho. A guy from Mexico breaks the law, illegally comes into the country when he’s 18, marries an American woman. They have four kids on American soil. He’s concerned that he could get deported and their family gets split apart, so they’re all going back. So how do you address that, Jim? Should he be left alone because of the wife and the kids?
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, you know, if they have a clean record, I think there should be some sort of special dispensation, maybe a fine or something. Maybe a 10-year waiting period before citizenship. But, you know, a lot of DACA people, too, they’ve lived good, long lives, and they should also be considered to stay.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, I got it. But you said something at the beginning, Jim, that’s so crucial, and you’re so right, and I hope people remember this. This is a very complicated issue. This is not easy. And Trump knows that. There’s nothing easy about this. And so don’t be mad at him. If you think that he’s backing down, what does a change look like? Well, we don’t know yet. Let’s not judge him until we find out what that change might be. Text from Texas, it’s a sad day for America. Text from upstate South Carolina, I love you, Mike, but I don’t feel that President Trump needs to adapt to industries that are culpable with hiring illegals in the first place. I get it. I really do. I appreciate that. Going to be great debate over all this, and wow, let’s see. I’m going to be fascinated to see how the legacy media treats this, because if they weren’t insane, they’d be giving them a bunch of credit. Are you sleeping well at night? Can I tell you a little bit about Z-Factor for a moment? Because I want you to sleep well. Z-Factor goes beyond melatonin with a combination of four natural ingredients, relaxes the mind so you fall asleep quicker and you sleep more soundly through the night. Not until like the third or fourth night. Well, you know what’s great about… Z-Factor, I sleep like a baby. I want to see if we can give you the best night’s sleep of your life because right now you’ll save 46% on your first order, only $19.95 for a 30-day supply. Better sleep, better days with Z Factor from Relief Factor. Here’s Aaron in Columbus, Ohio. Hi, Aaron. Hey, Mike. Great show.
SPEAKER 10 :
Thank you. What do you think of Trump’s tweet? Well, I don’t think he’s backing down from anything, Mike. I think he’s just saying, listen, the guys that are good, you need to figure it out. You need to self-deport. I don’t think if you self-deport, you should get a fine. And I think the immigration process is in desperate need of streamlining. It’s needed it for years. That’s why we’re in this situation. And maybe that’s what he’s talking about changes. Maybe the immigration process for the people that should legally be here. should be able to immigrate legally, should be a little quicker and a little faster. I think that’s what it is. Why can’t there be an immigration X? There was a SpaceX. Why can’t there be an immigration X? Why can’t there be a healthcare X? Why can’t they solve it? Let the private industry take a swing at it since the government sucks.
SPEAKER 14 :
You make a lot of sense to me, Aaron. Thank you. Here’s Ray in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Hi, Ray. Hi, Mike. How are you? Good. How are you doing, sir? Thanks for joining us. Oh, appreciate it.
SPEAKER 13 :
I just want to say that I think Trump’s decision is good, but his timing’s off. I think that the Democrats and the Antifa people are all going to use this as an excuse to say, look what we made him do.
SPEAKER 14 :
I know. You’re right. You’re right. I mean, it’s going to make the timing of it is probably going to be such that it’s going to look like he’s backing down because of the protests.
SPEAKER 13 :
I think you should have asked for some concessions from the rioters first to stop.
SPEAKER 14 :
Look, but I’m with Aaron, too. Great point, Ray, and I don’t disagree with you, but at the end of the day, At the end of the day, he’s not going to back down. But adjusting his policy might be interpreted as backing down. He’s suggesting that the very aggressive policy on immigration is hurting farmers. He wants to protect farmers. He wants to protect the – don’t forget, he’s in the leisure and hospitality business with Trump Tower. and the Trump Hotel properties. So, no, I’m not alarmed about this at all. In fact, I continue to insist that this is a sign of a great leader. All right, here we go with the sanctuary state governors testifying at the House hearing. We’re going to carry it for you. Don’t worry. Tim Walz is squaring off in a little bit with Jamie Comer. That’s going to be good. Listen, you can’t miss this show today. You keep it right here on the Mike Gallagher Show because we’ll carry it for you and get your reaction to all of it. Wow. Big stuff going on. Big doings. You want to talk about big doings? I walk into the studio yesterday. We had 600 and some kids sponsored to go to Angel Tree summer camps. Right now we’re at 816. Wow. Might we get to 1,000? And you know what I did that just kind of blew me away is I just sort of casually said, can we get some $100 donations? And boy, did we get $100 donations. $100 donations came in buckets. You see, the Angel Tree summer camps are all about sending a child of an American prisoner and this is really timely considering all the things we’re talking about, to summer camp for a week. It’s $200. And many of you have sponsored one, five, ten children. A lot of you have put in $20, $30, $10. But right now, to look at 816 kids on that counter, wow. That’s so astounding. And look, last year we did 1,100. We’ve got another few days to go in the campaign. Maybe, just maybe, we’ll get to 1,000. But that’s in God’s hands and yours. And I hope you’ll consider making a donation. Just go to MikeOnline.com. mikeonline.com, click on that Prison Fellowship Angel Tree banner. The feeling of saving a child, sending a kid who is going through so much because their mom or dad are in prison, and to get to send them to summer camp and not only hang out and camp and do all the fun things of summer camp with other kids, but they also are exposed to the Bible. They also learn about the Word of God. And many of these kids, as we know for a fact, become saved. They accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It’s a journey that you could put a child on. with just whatever you can contribute. So visit mikeonline.com. Click on that banner at the top of the page. Again, 816 kids. I don’t know what it’s going to look like in an hour or a day or a week, but thank you already to everybody who’s donated. It’s an extraordinary effort. 816 is incredible. You’ve donated over $160,000 to our Angel Tree campaign here on the Mike Gallagher Show. There’s nobody like you. So thank you, thank you, thank you. MikeOnline.com, click on that banner at the top of the page, and we so, so deeply appreciate your willingness to share your heart and your treasure with these beautiful children. MikeOnline.com, and click on that banner at the top of the page, and we thank you so very much for supporting our 2025 Angel Tree Campaign. SPEAKER 02 :
Look at that shift, a 40-point shift to the right among immigrant voters. Republicans now lead on this issue by eight points over Democrats, more so than any other group that I could find. The group of voters who became more hawkish on immigration were, in fact, immigrants themselves, immigrants who are registered to vote in this country.
SPEAKER 11 :
In the ReliefFactor.com studios, here’s Mike. Breaking now on the Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 14 :
Let’s take you back to Capitol Hill where a trio of some of the worst governors in the country, Democrats Kathy Hochul, Tim Walz, and J.B. Pritzker, are being grilled by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, at least the Republicans on the committee. Let’s check out this exchange. I believe, between Congressman Comer and Kathy Hochul. And you get ready for hearing some, excuse me, I’m sorry, it was Elise Stefanik from New York, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, talking to her governor, Kathy Hochul. Wow, this is rich.
SPEAKER 05 :
Hochul, on your first day in office, you signed Executive Order 1. Is that correct? And you extended this executive order not once, not twice, but three times, most recently January 16th of this year. Is that correct?
SPEAKER 06 :
If that’s what your facts show, I signed countless executive orders.
SPEAKER 05 :
I would assume you know it’s executive order one. And this is a continuation of your predecessor’s sanctuary state policies, correct, is included in that.
SPEAKER 06 :
I want to be sure we are defining sanctuary state properly.
SPEAKER 05 :
I’ll define it for you. you. It is the policy of the state that state officers or employees shall not disclose information to federal immigration authorities for the purpose of federal civil immigration enforcement. It goes on to say law enforcement officers may not use resources, equipment, or personnel for the purpose of detecting and apprehending any individual suspected or wanted for violating a civil immigration office. Law enforcement officers have no authority in the state of New York to take any policy action solely because the person is an undocumented alien. That’s a quote in your executive orders that you extended. Now, do you know who Zakir Khan is?
SPEAKER 06 :
I want to get back to the first part of the question.
SPEAKER 05 :
No, I’m asking a question. Do you know who Sakhir Khan is?
SPEAKER 06 :
I want to make sure you understand that this simply says that we will cooperate with ICE.
SPEAKER 05 :
No, it does not say that. I read what it says, and let me talk to you about the results. Do you know who Sakhir Khan is? You should, as the governor of New York State. Do you know?
SPEAKER 06 :
Refresh my recollection.
SPEAKER 05 :
He was an illegal migrant in New York. And do you know what crime he committed in addition to being here illegally?
SPEAKER 06 :
No, I do not.
SPEAKER 05 :
You do not. This was widely reported. He found a 15-year-old girl, threatened her with a metal pole, told her to get into the backseat of his car. He took her clothes off and he violently raped her in Albany, New York. Do you know who Sebastian Zepeda Khalil is?
SPEAKER 06 :
I’m sure you’ll tell me. There’s many cases, whether they’re… These are high-profile cases.
SPEAKER 05 :
New Yorkers know about them, and you don’t. So let’s talk about Sebastian Zepeda Khalil. Do you know who that is?
SPEAKER 06 :
I don’t have the specific details at my disposal, no.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, this is an illegal migrant in New York because of your sanctuary state policies. Do you know what crime he committed?
SPEAKER 06 :
I’m not familiar at this moment.
SPEAKER 05 :
I bet you’re going to be familiar when I remind you he found a sleeping woman on the subway, lit her on fire, and burned her alive. This is in Kathy Hochul’s New York. And as I’m sure you are aware, I’ll remind you that ICE issued an order to detain this violent criminal, but that was rejected by New York officials due to sanctuary state laws. Now, do you know who Raymond Rojas Basilio is? I just want to say this.
SPEAKER 06 :
These crimes are horrific. I condemn them.
SPEAKER 05 :
Because of your sanctuary state policies.
SPEAKER 06 :
In all of these cases, we would work with ICE to remove them.
SPEAKER 05 :
You did not in this case. They are walking down the streets because of your policies and your executive order that you signed three times. Now, Raymond Rojas Basilio, do you know who that is?
SPEAKER 06 :
I’m telling you this. I will explain to you the policies of New York. We cooperate with… I know you’re just trying to… You do not.
SPEAKER 05 :
Specifically, ICE was told not to detain this individual, and he burned a woman alive on the New York subways in Kathy Hochul’s New York. So I will keep on going. What about Raymond Rojas Basilio? Do you know who that is?
SPEAKER 06 :
I’m going to tell you our overall policy, which will address all this.
SPEAKER 05 :
I’ll tell you who that is. He is an illegal who molested an 11-year-old in our state because, again, of your sanctuary state policies. This illegal was shielded from federal immigration enforcement and able to commit this heinous crime. And what about Wilson Castillo Diaz? Do you know who that is?
SPEAKER 06 :
I’m telling you this. We do cooperate fully with ICE and criminal prosecution. Our sanctuary regulations only deal with civil enforcement.
SPEAKER 05 :
You’re not advocating for these victims. This is a five-year-old who was raped on Long Island in Nassau County. You are not advocating on behalf of these victims. You are shielding illegals, even in your opening statement. You’re prioritized putting illegals first. That is not true. Rapes of young girls, beatings of NYPD cops by illegals who are here under Kathy Hochul’s failed policies, burning New Yorkers alive. This is Kathy Hochul’s New York. It’s one of the many reasons why you’re hemorrhaging support from hardworking New York families. They’re horrific crimes that are committed on your watch. You signed this executive order on your first day in office. You signed it again and again this January. We deserve a governor who stands up for law-abiding New Yorkers, doesn’t put illegals first, but actually puts New Yorkers first.
SPEAKER 06 :
Rather than going after the viral moment, I suggest you look at the facts.
SPEAKER 05 :
No, no, no. I’m standing up for New Yorkers. Rather than addressing the illegals in New York, you are prioritizing your far-left sanctuary state policies, which you put in place with executive orders. Instead of advocating for victims of five-year-olds who was raped, you did not. They were released because of sanctuary state policies in New York State. No amount of words is going to clean up your failed record and these horrific crimes committed in sanctuary state that you created. And with that, I represent.
SPEAKER 14 :
Oh, boy. Oh, boy. You know, no matter how bad a day you’re having. No matter how cranky you might be, you didn’t have to face Elise Stefanik because of your failed sanctuary policies. Wow. What a fierce, fierce advocate for New Yorkers. Representative Elise Stefanik is. And you’re seeing the insanity on full display. I mean, she really sounds like, with the monotone voice, we support, we cooperate with ICE. We cooperate with ICE. No, you don’t. You think, ask anybody at ICE what they think of your sanctuary policies. We cooperate with ICE. Okay. And doesn’t even know the names of Of the monsters who committed heinous crimes in New York, those were, as Elise Stefanik said, real highly publicized cases across the board. Wow. Wow. You know, I would love to have been a fly on the wall of the green room when J.B. Pritzker and Tim Waltz and Kathy Hochul were bellying up to the pastry table this morning. getting ready to go out and face these warriors. Wouldn’t you have loved to have heard that conversation? Well, we’re in for it. Kathy, you know they’re going to give it to us. Oh, boy. It’s like I’m sure they felt like the Christians going out and facing the lions in the Roman Colosseum. Gosh, that’s good stuff. And I’m glad to hear Democrat governors try to be held accountable for the disastrous policies that have hurt so many Americans. That’s the bottom line. What do you think a sanctuary policy is going to do other than wreak the kind of havoc that has been wreaked? Boy, oh boy, oh boy. All right, 800-655-MIKE. More calls about the, lots of debate about President Trump’s post. And he had a lot of, he’s got a lot of conversation started here.
SPEAKER 15 :
It is a testament to the Brian Wilson Beach Boys catalog that I got a whole show filled with bumper music all day long, and I will not scratch the surface today. Wall to wall, Brian Wilson. I will not scratch the surface covering this library. Mike, are you kind of like me? And I think because you’re a couple years younger than me, huge appreciation of this catalog. But when they first became huge, we’re like in first, second, third, fourth grade. It wasn’t like front of mind wheelhouse. We would actually need to be a little older to be the perfect Brian Wilson fan group. I don’t know. What are your thoughts?
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, I mean, the last surviving brother. What a legacy. What an impact. And it must be quite the feeling for his family to know that even though he may have passed away, His music will be just immortal. I mean, it’s going to always be with us forever. And so, yeah, just just what a story and what a tough life he had. There’s a documentary.
SPEAKER 15 :
I think there are a couple of documentaries where there was one I saw maybe five, six, seven years ago of somebody. And he didn’t do a lot of access. He didn’t do a lot of interviews, especially in the later days when I was kind of scared of the world and just getting out of the house. I don’t know if it was what is it agoraphobia where you just get rid of everything. But they’re just kind of going around eating breakfast at places, you know, in Laguna Beach and stuff like that. It was so charming and so wonderful and kind of sad. But in a way, he wasn’t unhappy. He wasn’t it wasn’t a miserable life. And it was just just did you ever do you ever wish? That’s kind of funny. I like the era into which I was born. I’m very pleased with it. But it must have been something kind of cool to be a smidge older than we are, to be a teenager in 1963 or 64, 65.
SPEAKER 14 :
I often think about that because I wonder if people have, yeah, I mean, but to me, maybe it’s because of just what we were raised on and what we heard. The music of the 70s is everything to me. I mean, there’s a 70s channel on SiriusXM that I’m glued to. I ask Eric to always, you know, mirror their playlist because I like those songs. And so, yeah, I guess maybe it’s just a lack of familiarity because you’re right. When you think about it, I mean, they were all in their prime when we were just little kids. Yeah.
SPEAKER 15 :
I mean, everybody I love, you know, Tom Petty, every 70s act you and I love, the formative thing for them, the formative thing for them was February 1964, Beatles on Ed Sullivan, which I don’t remember for a couple of reasons. Number one, we were in England, so that’s kind of… And it was just it was just wasn’t quite old enough. Of course, if we were a smidge older than we were, we also might have died in Vietnam. So you got that, too.
SPEAKER 14 :
True that there is that. Hey, you mentioned documentaries. You know, we always love talking about I got a couple. I always get emails from people saying I love the TV and movie ideas I get from the Eminem experience because you and I love film and movies and theater. We got to get I want to get to the Kennedy Center last night. And what did not happen?
SPEAKER 15 :
Anyway, that’s right.
SPEAKER 14 :
Right, right, right. So we’ll get to that in a minute. But here’s my latest binge watch recommendation. Ready. True Crime Mike. The Gilgo Beach Murders, okay? This was fascinating. Serial killer, Long Island. This guy named Rex Heuermann. And Mark, it’s the most fascinating story because he lived like this normal life. Family man. husband, father. They had a little house, this junky little crappy house in Massapequa Park, New York, 1,100 square feet. He’s off, according to the charges, and he’s about to face trial. He’s off at night soliciting sex workers, murdering them, dumping their bodies in an isolated part. And the documentary that’s on Fox, I think it’s Paramount. No, it’s Peacock. Peacock right now has a three-part documentary, and she’s there giving full access to the filmmakers, the documentary makers, the wife and the daughter and the son, and they believe in him. Oh, he didn’t do it. And the evidence is like… A slam dunk that he did. He’s this hulking, scary-looking guy. But, Mark, he was an architect who worked in midtown Manhattan. Because Gilgo Beach is Long Island, right? That’s right. He lived out on Long Island, Massapequa Park. But he would commute on the Long Island Railroad into Manhattan, do his job. And then when the wife and the kids would go away on vacation… he’d murder sex workers okay he’d torture and rape and horrible i mean this is like it’s the hit of the summer it is so check it out on peacock and then and then and then let’s do 30 seconds because you were so right about mission impossible man man oh man that’s filmmaking right there man that is filmmaking there’s a human let’s talk human nature for five seconds
SPEAKER 15 :
Because as you said, and thank you for hopping onto X and saying, you know, Mark Davis is right. Don’t believe the haters or the malcontents.
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, who was it that said it’s overrated? Jack Posobiec or somebody said, oh, it’s terrible. So whatever. No, it’s not.
SPEAKER 15 :
And maybe you’ve got the Tom Cruise Scientology bug up your butt, which I do too, but I’m compartmentalizing. There is something about, I guarantee you there are people walking around today going, Brian Wilson, Beach Boys suck. There is something about some people where they just can’t have nice things, and they think the haughty taste is like, it has mass appeal, so you like it, but I’m too elevated. I’m too evolved to like that, and it’s just, just stop it. I mean, not everything has to be your cup of tea, and if you got…
SPEAKER 14 :
I do that sometimes. I do that like Game of Thrones. I’m like, ugh, I don’t get it.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, me too. But you’re not looking down your nose at it. You’re not saying it sucks.
SPEAKER 14 :
It’s just not your cup of tea.
SPEAKER 15 :
I have said I do not do Realms, Kingdoms, Hobbits, Dragons, Lord of the Rings. All 14 of those movies are great. I know it. I could not care less. Harry Potter could not care less. But they’re great. They’re just not my cup of tea. Now, so you’re in the movie, right? Every bit of three hours. Didn’t look at my watch once. Unbelievable how fast. But there is something I did do once. I’m surprised it was only once. And that’s I went to the bathroom. Because, hey, it’s a two-hour, 50-minute movie. There’s an app. There’s an app. called Run P. R-U-N-P-E-E. Tells you when to go? It tells you in a movie when you can go and when the best time is to go so you don’t miss anything. And then it tells you what happened while you’re in there.
SPEAKER 14 :
I loved it. I would have needed it because I had to go.
SPEAKER 15 :
I went right after the submarine part. Maybe it was all that water. I don’t know.
SPEAKER 14 :
But there is no way. I refuse to believe that he does all his own stunts. I don’t know. Mark, he can’t. All of them? He can’t. Well, that’s what they say. And he’s upside down hanging out of a helicopter. A plane. No way. I know. No way. No way. Because these stunts are so dangerous and he is such a gazillion dollar asset. Why would they even allow him to do that? Look, we’re probably headed back to Israel in October. Yeah. And I’m excited about that. But the insurance process that we have to go through just for somebody dope like me to go, it’s it’s jumping through hoops, you know, because, look, we got a team. We got people that work for me. If something happens, we got to take responsibility. Well, take me, a nobody like me, times a gazillion for him. They’re going to put everything in jeopardy by having him jump out of an airplane?
SPEAKER 15 :
The answer is apparently so. Now, here’s my buddy, Dr. Grock, says Tom Cruise is known for performing many of his own stunts in the MI franchise, Mission Impossible, Final Reckoning, No Exception. Multiple sources confirm that Cruise personally executed the film’s most high-profile stunts, including the standout biplane sequence where he clings to the wing of a vintage biplane at 8,000 feet. He trained for it for over a year, including wing-walking practice. Oh, my, Justin.
SPEAKER 14 :
Can you imagine the movie executives like, oh, no, please, let’s not kill our star? Yeah. I mean, and speaking of Grok, incidentally, so you prefer Grok over Chad GPT?
SPEAKER 15 :
Don’t care. Coin flip. I mean, since I’m in the Twitter landscape so much, the Grok button is the easiest thing to just click.
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, Tracy tells me yesterday, because I’m into this now. I’m like overwhelmed by discovering the world of AI, okay? Big article today about the showdown between ChatGPT and all the different platforms that are emerging. And this is a space that is exploding. And you want to know why? Because it’s phenomenal. It sure is. I’ll never write another speech. I mean, for the rest of my life. Oh, no.
SPEAKER 07 :
Nope.
SPEAKER 14 :
Oh, no. Nope. Never again. Don’t do that. Don’t surrender your humanity. Stop it. I’m not surrendering my humanity. I’m making my life easier. What are you talking about? I mean, let it do some research. If I’ve got to do a 20-minute speech, if I’m going to the Kiwanis Club and they want 20 minutes. It’s not going to sound like you. I mean, it may sound like you. Yes, it will, because I know how to ad lib around it. Oh, I mean, okay, then let it do bullet points or something. No, no, no. No, no, no. But that’s what it is. Fight for humanity, Mike. That baloney. Don’t let the robots take over. Embrace it. Embrace it. I did. Is Mark Davis a successful talk show host? And you should see the glowing, flowery, and by the way, spot on biography they give. And they spit it out in about 20 seconds.
SPEAKER 1 :
20?
SPEAKER 14 :
What, he got a slow connection?
SPEAKER 15 :
It’s like three. I mean, is Mark Davis an insufferable ideologue? And it’ll probably give you some evidence of that, too. I wonder.
SPEAKER 14 :
See, I’m wondering about ideology on all this, because as we get into this world and Tracy said to me yesterday, she said, look, I don’t I don’t like she goes. I don’t want to do chat GPT because I think it leans to the left. But Grok, I feel probably leans to the right.
SPEAKER 15 :
I don’t think so. A year ago, I was asking it stuff like how many genders are there, and it gave me horrible answers, like they were taken straight from the index cards of Simone Biles. It’s gotten much better, and these days, if you ask it really incendiary questions, it’ll say, well, you know, there are people who believe this, and there are people who believe that. It’s like, you know what? That’s all I’m looking for.
SPEAKER 14 :
That’s all I’m looking for. It’s getting better. Let me pull the curtain back because I got into some hot water because I wore a plaid sport coat the other day on Salem News Channel.
SPEAKER 15 :
I love it. I thought you were great.
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, but, you know, it’s busy and it kind of blends with the – and one of the executives said, I don’t really like the plaid sport coat. And they went to chat GPT – I’m not kidding you – for best practices of TV wardrobe. And it gave you back, it gave us back what we now use as our guidelines. Yes, Mark Davis is widely regarded as a successful and influential talk radio host with over 40 years in broadcasting, primarily in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He’s established himself as a prominent conservative voice in American media, extensive experience. He began his career… In 1979, I want to see if any of this is false. Totally true. He’s worked at various stations, including WBAP in Dallas and KSKY right now, where his show airs weekly. He has guest hosted the Rush Limbaugh show. Airs weekly. currently airs weekdays sorry he’s guest it was right he guest hosted the rush limbaugh show he uh served as friday morning host for more i mean podcast popularity his podcast is available on platforms like apple where it has a 4.4 out of 5 rating i didn’t know there you go i’m telling you this is good Davis has authored two books, Upside Down, How the Left Turned Right into Wrong, Truth into Lies and Good into Bad, and Lone Star America, As Texas Can Save Our Country. Listeners appreciate his articulate and engaging commentary on current events, politics, and culture. Reviews highlight his insightful analysis and approachable style. Yeah, right, approachable. For instance, one listener describes him. You lecturing me about approachability? I’m kidding. I’m kidding. For instance, one listener described him as a Texas treasure with a velvet voice who delivers current events in a witty and intelligent manner. Davis, I don’t know. Here’s where it goes. Political stance. All right? Ideology. It may be about to say something. Okay, go ahead. Go ahead.
SPEAKER 15 :
Davis identifies as a libertarian conservative. That is straight from Wikipedia, and it’s 20 years old. I still kind of do. Okay, well, let me finish.
SPEAKER 14 :
Libertarianism informs my conservatism. Go ahead. Expressing opposition to smoking bans, religious indoctrination in public education, and illegal immigration while supporting the war on terror and drug prohibition.
SPEAKER 15 :
What do you know about Wikipedia? Can you go change your own Wikipedia page? I mean, yeah, I mean, because that’s because there’s it’s kind of funny. I mean, supports the war on terror. That is so 2003 because I did.
SPEAKER 14 :
But that’s what it does. It just goes to the Internet and it finds Wikipedia. It finds anything. In summary, Mark Davis’s longstanding career, national exposure and dedicated audience attest to his success as a talk radio host. But the point of this is you can do this with anything.
SPEAKER 15 :
You sure can. And for those wondering, listening around and going, AI, what even is that? Think of it in the following way. What the AI, chat GPTs and groks do for you. There’s something you need to know about, study, deliver a speech about, do whatever about. That’s right. It Googles a thousand things for you and then writes you a little executive summary, bam, and does it in five seconds.
SPEAKER 14 :
Okay. And they did. And look, and they spit out two pages worth of, no, it’s not. Here’s what’s better.
SPEAKER 15 :
Lindsay Nelson and Craig Sager. This is the world of sports, I guess. I mean, they were rocking the plaid every time.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, I mean, there’s people, I know, but this is, they just want, they call it best practices. But see, this is the kind of stuff you can do in your workplace. It fascinates me. It really does. And so I know I’m late to the dance, but I’m in and out.
SPEAKER 15 :
If I ever learned that you’ve delivered a speech that AI wrote, I’m coming for you.
SPEAKER 14 :
I’m preparing today’s show based completely on ChatGPT. Let’s go to the phones. What is Mike’s opinion about the No Kings Day on Saturday? Will there be riots? I am concerned, Mark. I hope nobody gets hurt. I do, too.
SPEAKER 15 :
Why do you need that many face shields for a peaceful protest? Let’s go to the phones.
SPEAKER 14 :
It could be argued that face shields can prevent sunburn. In lieu of sunscreen, we need to preserve the First Amendment.
SPEAKER 15 :
The AI clock says we must go now. Go do your show.
SPEAKER 14 :
Goodbye. I love you. Have a good Thursday. I love you, too. Goodbye. Farewell. You are my friend.
SPEAKER 15 :
Bye. Yes. That’s my colleague. Ready to go. Ready to rock. All the humanity. You can stay in. 10 o’clock right here.
