The political theatrics continue as a little-known California senator, Alex Padilla, adds his own flair to the day by interrupting a press conference led by Kristi Noem. Gallagher scrutinizes the media’s portrayal of events and discusses the contentious issue of government funding for public broadcasting like NPR and PBS—a conversation that delves deep into the balance between taxpayer money and media bias. Tune in for an episode that juxtaposes heavy political discussion with Mike’s light-hearted personal anecdotes.
SPEAKER 08 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior. Mike Gallagher. Broadcasting across hundreds of radio stations nationwide. And seen on your trusted conservative TV network. Salem News Channel. Here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, let me just say I’m exhausted from the show prep. I don’t know if I can get through the show because I’m just tired of trying to sort everything out and present a cohesive Mike Gallagher show for a Friday. This might be one of the biggest breaking news days that we’ve ever had. I mean, this is wild. Israel bombs Iran, taking out much of their military leadership, taking out their nuclear scientists. demolishing their nuclear sites. President Trump warned them, you don’t stop, you’re going to get attacked. And Iran futzed around, and Iran found out. Now they are decimated. The only question for us, and look, I know as a talk show host where you’re going to go. I know right where you’re off to. I can tell you right now, the question on everybody’s mind, what involvement, if any, will we, the United States of America, have in this war between Israel and Iran? And this is going to be tricky. It’s not simple. There aren’t any easy answers. Do you believe there are Iranian sleeper cells right now in the United States? If they… conduct some kind of an attack on the American people, like it or not, we’re involved. If one hair on one head of any American gets harmed in this war between Israel and Iran, you understand we’re in it, right? And you may not like to hear that. This may be a day where you want to shoot the messenger. I get it. It’s okay. And incidentally, as I go through the list of these mind-numbing events that have happened in just the last 24 hours… You be ready to call me at 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. Because I’ve got lots to share. I want to get a lot of calls today. Whenever there is big breaking news, I turn to you. You know, a lot of other great shows line up talking heads. And my theory is I want Americans to have a place to come. I want you to go. I think of this show. like a neighborhood the way it used to be when you could lean up against the fence in the backyard and talk to your next-door neighbor about the things that are going on in the world? That’s what I love about this show. And I love this about you because you’re so willing to call. 800-655-MIKE. And we can start with that question. What role do you think the United States needs to play in this war between Israel and Iran? How about Senator Alex Padilla, whoever he is, little-known California senator, deciding to engage in performance art yesterday, storm the Kristi Noem press conference in Los Angeles, disrupt it, got manhandled because he’s flailing and pushing and shoving towards her, and the FBI and the security forces took him out of the room, took him to the ground, put him in handcuffs, which led to a headline. I don’t mean to laugh, but there’s nothing else you can do but laugh. I’m going to laugh at the Los Angeles Times with one of the funniest headlines as a result of this that I’ve ever seen in my life. Now, you saw it, right? You saw Alex Padilla. He rushed back from the congressional baseball game in the Washington, D.C. area to get into L.A. quickly and storm her press conference, disrupt it so that he would get, of course, arrested or manhandled or roughed up. And after it happened, of course, all the usual suspects took to the airwaves. If they could do this to him, they’ll do this. I mean, it was hysterical. I think the smartest theory is Tracy, my producer. The Democrats were aching for a George Floyd moment during the L.A. riots. Well, they never got it, because thanks to largely the National Guard and the LAPD and law enforcement, they largely kept things, you know, at least people from being killed. At least nobody died. And the Democrats were like, aw, shucks, we didn’t have our big moment, so let’s create our own. Let’s have Alex Padilla storm the Kristi Noem press conference and get manhandled. And we’re playing the video for you, of course, on Salem News Channel. Watching him thrash and flail. And if you look at the video, he’s doing most of the thrashing and the flailing. They’re just trying to hold this idiot back. They’re just trying to push him back so he doesn’t storm the podium and do Lord knows what to Kristi Noem. He’s like, get your hands off me. I have a question. So all that drama, it looked like a Friday night performance of Pippin at the La Comedia Dinner Theater in Piqua, Ohio. It just looked like it’s just all performative. But the performance art doesn’t stop with the Democrats. The media says, hold my beer. Here’s the Los Angeles Times headline. It’s an actual banner headline. I mean, it’s big. Los Angeles Times headline. First, they came for the immigrants. Then they took down our Latino senator. Oh, boy, these theater kids. Look, I love a good play. Give me an overture. Give me a musical. Give me a great dramatic death of a salesman. They’re all clowns. They’re not realistic. And speaking of clowns, that leads us to tomorrow’s No Kings protest. As… The government is going to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army with a massive military parade. And incidentally, doesn’t that timing seem pretty appropriate? A nice warning to Iran, don’t mess with us. There’ll be lots of video of all those tanks and all that artillery and all those weapons of war on display tomorrow in our nation’s capital. The timing couldn’t be more perfect. Meanwhile, there’s going to be pathetic people marching around with signs saying Trump’s a king, Trump’s a dictator, Trump’s an evil man. I don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, and I don’t really care. I will tell you to be careful. I would tell you to have your head on a swivel. I will remind you to be prepared for anything. And you make sure you have situational awareness. But honestly, after Israel’s attack on Iran, is there anything more insignificant now than the No Kings protest? Do you concede how childish, how churlish, how insignificant, how petty, and how silly these people are going to look tomorrow? 800-655-MIKE. We’re the Relief Factor Studios. A busy Friday the 13th. We’ve got lots of breaking news. And as always, I want to put your voice front and center. So you give me your reaction to Senator Padilla. You give me your reaction to Israel’s bombing of Iran, the surgical strike, the tactical strike. You give me your reaction to the question that I think is on everybody’s mind. What role, if any, should we play? What should America do in terms of this war between Israel and Iran? And make no mistake about it, it’s war. Should we be there? Should we support Israel with our military might? Do we stay out of it altogether? Do we just give them moral support? What do we do now that Israel has hit the Iranian nuclear and missile facilities, taking out a lot of their leadership? Again, I always turn to you first. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. One number does it all. You can text on the MyPillow text line. You can call. Let’s put your voice front and center here on the Mike Gallagher Show, 800-655-MIKE. SPEAKER 08 :
The Mike Gallagher Show on Salem News Channel and the Salem Radio Network.
SPEAKER 15 :
If you look at NPR, the studies, I think it was zero Republicans or zero conservatives on NPR. Zero. You have the head of NPR who is an avowed anti-Republican. That is not reflective of fair media in this country. You all have First Amendment rights from other media outlets. You use it. You don’t need taxpayer funding for it.
SPEAKER 08 :
In the ReliefFactor.com studios, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 17 :
And true to their word, House Republicans voted to pass the Trump White House’s rescissions package, cutting $9.4 billion of spending from USAID and defunding National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting Service. The vote was 214 to 212. It just squeaked by. Four Republicans, for some reason, joined all the 208 Democrats who voted against it. But, look, for a lifelong broadcaster like me, I’ve never understood the intense determination to make taxpayers fund leftist programming from NPR and PBS. I saw an interview the other day with the head of NPR, and she said, we’re not to the left. This was classic. We’re not to the left. There’s just debate about what the center is like. Because her point is, the middle is what they determine it to be. So if NPR determines that… having a leftist agenda is the middle, well, then it’s the little. Then it’s the middle. That’s how that works, right? Here was Catherine Mayer, the NPR CEO on CNN this week.
SPEAKER 09 :
I think it’s harder insofar as people don’t agree on what the middle is now. It’s not harder in the sense of our commitment to ensuring we’re hearing from different voices. I also tend to think there’s this perspective that, you know, people can be reduced to sort of political platforms. But in reality, when you drill down on people’s preferences, they’re far more complex than that. When you go into local communities and you talk to them about what they want in terms of economic revitalization, they will recognize real tensions perhaps around manufacturing and ensuring that their environment is something healthy for their children. And so when we do really good reporting, what we’re actually offering is the ability for us to hold that context, that nuance and that complexity in ways that allow people to connect with how it affects people’s lives as opposed to reducing it to sort of left versus right.
SPEAKER 17 :
Of course she doesn’t want to reduce that way. And incidentally, keep doing your good reporting. Do your thing. Just make sure you don’t expect the American taxpayer to fund it. That’s all normal people believe. You’re not entitled to taxpayer subsidies. You want to broadcast in rural America? Well, then you figure out how to make it work. There are broadcasters, there are companies, I happen to work for one, that do a real good job of paying the bills and making sure the lights stay on and making sure the programming gets out. There are Christian music formats that are swimming in profit and they’re all over America. They’re in rural America. They’re in big cities. They’re in Appalachia. They’re all over the country. And incidentally, One of them happens to be non-profit. And they are like Fort Knox. They do great. They’re fine. They keep building and building and growing and growing. NPR can do the same thing. Knock yourself out. Just don’t expect. I just can’t get over the simple argument that this comes down to. And you know what it’s steeped in. It’s steeped in entitlement. They feel entitled. to make you subsidize a portion of what they do. I can’t imagine being that arrogant. That I would, in my wildest imagination, expect that you, as a taxpayer, should have part of your paycheck given to this show. I can’t even imagine how you get off with that kind of arrogance. It doesn’t work. And now it’s not working anymore. So NPR, PBS, you’ve got to do what all the rest of us have to do. You’ve got to get out there and you’ve got to hustle. You’ve got to sell advertising. You’ve got to sell tote bags. You’ve got to offer CDs of Luciano Pavarotti at a discounted price. And you’ve got to make it on your own. That’s what the rest of the broadcast world has to do. And for the life of me, I can’t understand the argument, insisting on taxpayer funds. Look, it would be better for this show if 10, 20, 30% of my annual budget came from you, the taxpayer. The world doesn’t work that way. We don’t have our handouts saying, taxpayers, make sure you help it work. It doesn’t work that way. That’s not the real world. And for too long, public broadcasting has not existed in the real world. So kudos to the House of Representatives defunding, officially clawing back billions of our dollars for wasteful foreign aid and funding the highly biased NPR and PBS. I expect a veteran, lifelong newsman like Roger P. Schulman in the Mike Gallagher Show newsroom would agree with me. It’s 21 before the hour. He’s here, of course, to report on what’s happening with this war between Israel and Iran. We’ve got the No Kings Day tomorrow, Roger. But before we even get there, let’s talk a little bit about the NPR-PBS defunding. You’re a broadcaster of many, many years in this business. Do you agree with what Congress did yesterday?
SPEAKER 02 :
Absolutely. And I even worked at the University of South Florida television station, and they received funds from the public. They had better equipment than some of the commercial stations. They didn’t have to worry about paying for things. Now, I totally agree that this should have been done years ago. And the fact that they are so biased to the left is a problem, too. They should be straight down the middle if they’re going to get money from the federal government. I’m glad they’re not going to be getting it anymore.
SPEAKER 17 :
Let’s dive into Israel and Iran. You know, for our audience, of course, the big question is what role, if any, should the United States of America play? Bring us up to date from the newsroom about what’s happening right now in this war, where I know at least four senior Iranian commanders were killed in the IDF strikes. What do we know so far, Roger?
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, Israel, as always, seems to have targeted this thing with tremendous precision. They took out the Iraqis, Golami Rashid, the deputy commander-in-chief of the Iranian armed forces, the armed forces chief of staff, Mohammad Bagheri. He was killed along with Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Commander Hussein Salami and two major nuclear sites and scientists there were killed. were eliminated. This is very, very important. We have taken out their brain trust as far as their military is concerned. And it’s interesting, the Israeli prime minister dubbed it as Rising Lion. That is the operation’s name. And he told the Iranian people the fight is not with them, but with the rulers that have oppressed Iran for the past 46 years. It’ll be interesting to see If the Iranian people rise up against them, that is a possibility. Regime change is a possibility if they feel that that could happen. As far as the United States, we have said that we were not involved in this. I don’t know if that’s true. We have a lot of support for the Israelis as far as intelligence and intelligence. infrastructure, refueling jets, that sort of thing. But whether we were involved in this, I really don’t know. We weren’t involved in the pager explosions that they so famously arranged for people in Palestine and other areas. So they’re very clever. And in many ways, it seems that they’re better than we are as far as carrying out some of these things. It was a devastating blow. And keep in mind, this is not over with yet. They’re still doing things over there. The Iranians are not stupid people. They are very capable. They’re very educated. And the Iranian military may do some things that terrorist-wise could be very devastating to people in this continent and in Europe and the Mideast. We just don’t know what’s going to happen. It’s quite a fluid situation.
SPEAKER 17 :
It sure is. I know you’ll be on top of it. Thanks, Roger P. Shulman, checking in from the Mike Gallagher Show newsroom. You know what you do when there’s a lot of challenge and adversity in the world? I’m going to tell you a quick story. A couple of weeks ago, we started our prison fellowship campaign where we get to send kids to summer camp. These are kids of prisoners, right? Sons and daughters of American prisoners. I’m going to make this short and sweet. Our goal was 455 kids. You know where we are right now?
SPEAKER 1 :
862.
SPEAKER 17 :
Now, here’s what my heart is telling me to tell you. If we hit 910 kids as our final tally, we will have doubled our goal. Our goal was 455 kids. We only have 48 children to go. And if everybody steps up, if everybody pops in $25, $50, $100, look, I want to thank everybody who’s already pitched in this week to support our annual Angel Tree Camp, to send children of prisoners to camp for a week. These kids get to play. They get to be with other kids their age. They get to have a blast, right? They also experience the gospel. They also experience God. And these kids’ lives are changed forever, maybe for eternity. and I need your help. I promise, if we hit 910, That’s it. We will celebrate and we will be ready for the next opportunity. We’re at 862. You can see it on the counter. Let’s have some fun today. Let’s hit 910 going into the weekend. Look, we don’t know what the weekend is going to bring with this stupid, you know, no kings protests in cities all over the country. We’ve got a big celebration of the Army’s 250th anniversary. We’ve got President Trump’s birthday. It’s Flag Day. It’s a big weekend. Headed into the weekend, how about doing a little bit of God’s work? 48 kids to go. That’s it. Look, that means I just need 90 people to pop in $100. This morning, I mentioned it to Mark Davis during the Eminem Experience. That’s the 10-minute hit that I do with Mark Daly. In just 10 minutes, his audience sponsored 20 kids. If we can get 20 kids sponsored in one market like the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, I know this national audience can sponsor 48 kids. If you’ll step up and pop in $100, we’re there. $910 is my goal in my heart. The official goal was $455. If we can double it, we’re going to celebrate and be ready for the next one. So won’t you help? Please go to MikeOnline.com. Click on the Angel Tree Camp banner at the top of the page. It just takes a couple of minutes of your time. It’s tax deductible. Have your credit card ready and do the Lord’s work. Send a child to summer camp. Bless these children. And this whole campaign has been a blessing. Boy, has it been a blessing. Please go to MikeOnline.com. Again, 48 kids away. I’ll keep you posted on the tally. I promise. I’ll keep you updated. MikeOnline.com. Click on the banner at the top of the page. And again, just 48 kids away, we can do this. It’s 862 now. Come on, let’s get to 910. Please, please, please go to MikeOnline.com. Click on that banner and let’s get to the new goal, the Mike Gallagher Show goal, the goal of graciousness and goodness and generosity because that’s how you do things. And I’m so grateful to be here. Just have you a part of my life. It just means everything. Let’s get to 910 and double our goal. Thank you. MikeOnline.com. MikeOnline.com. SPEAKER 08 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior, Mike Gallagher, broadcasting across hundreds of radio stations nationwide and seen on your trusted conservative TV network, Salem News Channel. Here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 17 :
I guess I picked a lousy day to do favorite coffee cake recipes here on the Mike Gallagher Show. I thought it’d be Friday. You know, we’re headed into Father’s Day. Good Father’s Day gifts. That was my plan. Whoops. Well, the world had other plans. I’ve seen more breaking news in the last 24 hours than I’ve seen in a long, long time, starting, of course, with Israel hitting Iran’s nuclear and military facilities. Make no mistake, Israel and Iran are now fully engaged in war. And we better be ready for anything that comes our way. And yes, a lot could come our way. President Trump is about to meet with the National Security Council. He, of course, is in the middle of it because he warned Iran, knock it off. And they said, we’re going to futz around. Well, now they found out. The top Iranian leaders have been taken out. in a surgically precise way. One guy, a missile went through his apartment building wall of just his bedroom and killed him, but didn’t hurt anybody else in the rest of the apartment building. That’s the precise way Israel carried out these strikes. The nuclear sites taken out because… The day would come, if Iran got the chance, where they could annihilate the state of Israel. And that will not stand. But that’s their commitment, is to be completely committed to the destruction of Israel. Meanwhile, here at home, we had dinner theater, a production of Brigadoon, In L.A., Kristi Noem was holding a press conference. And a guy named Alex Padilla, I’ll bet you didn’t even know who he was because he is a little-known senator. He rushed back from the congressional baseball game in the D.C. area so that he could show up unannounced without any security pin on, without his U.S. Senate pin on or anything. No suit. He’s got a little windbreaker on. And storms the podium, screaming at Kristi Noem. The Homeland Security chief is trying to hold a press conference. This is a little bit of what it looked and sounded like.
SPEAKER 04 :
I’m Senator Alex Padilla. I have questions for the secretary. Because the fact of the matter is, a half a dozen selling criminals that you’re rotating on your…
SPEAKER 17 :
And, of course, those strong, brave, heroic members of law enforcement did their best to protect Kristi Noem from this lunatic who decided to stage a bit of drama. The Democrats lapped it up. They thought they had their moment. I mean, it was so ridiculous to see how contrived and how scripted it all was. Yesterday, my X feed was filled with all of these Democrat senators and congressmen. I am sickened. This is terrible. This is awful. They put handcuffs on a senator. Well, they put handcuffs on a guy. If anybody did that, the same thing would happen to them. But after the incident, which incidentally apparently led to a sit-down between Alex Padilla and Kristi Noem that was very civil and cordial. They exchanged phone numbers. But that gets in the way of the narrative here. You know, if they can do it to him, our Latino senator, they can do it to anybody. That was actually the headline that is the complete laugh out loud hysteria. The Los Angeles Times came up with this headline. I kid you not. First they came for the immigrants. Then they took down our Latino senator. Their Latino senator wasted no time rushing in front of the cameras and microphones to continue his act.
SPEAKER 04 :
If this is how this administration responds to a senator with a question, if this is how the Department of Homeland Security responds to a senator with a question, you can only imagine what they’re doing to farmers, to cooks, to day laborers out in the Los Angeles community and throughout California and throughout the country. We will hold this administration accountable.
SPEAKER 17 :
To be or not to be that as your Latino senator is the question. I was taken to the ground by thugs, by fascists. Kristi Noem is a dictator. Donald Trump is orange. And I shall not be treated this way. All I wanted to do was ask questions. I had questions for Kristi Noem. That’s my duty. I was conducting oversight. This is what I do. I am your Latino Senator. Senator Alex Padilla. And scene. There we go. And, of course, they were all off to the races. I mean, what a joke. Pete Buttigieg, oh, my stomach is queasy. Chuck Schumer, they all had physical symptoms. They all developed physical symptoms when they watched their cohort, their fellow reveler, trying to stage this stunt. They all had to get tums, including Chuck Schumer.
SPEAKER 11 :
I just saw something that sickened my stomach. The manhandling of a United States senator. We need immediate answers to what… Your stomachs.
SPEAKER 17 :
Their stomachs, their poor stomachs, they’re all in trouble. I mean, it’s hysterical. This is really, this is as the stomach turns. Remember Carol Burnett? As the stomach turns. And last we checked, Gladys was at the kitchen table. When last we saw Alex Padilla, he was belly down on the floor having handcuffs on. put on his wrists. And of course, you know what’s hysterical? When you lose CNN, you know you’re on the wrong side of this. They lined up all these guests over at CNN, CNN now, who said Alex Padilla was 100% in the wrong and Kristi Noem’s security and the FBI were 100% in the right. Check out CNN security analyst Josh Campbell.
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, it’s easy to think about this as one incident. But actually, from a law enforcement perspective, we’re really looking at three separate incidents that happened within a short period of time. First, you have the DHS secretary who is addressing the press. This was not a Q&A period. And she’s interrupted. She’s interrupted by someone who was speaking very loudly. And so her security detail confronts what we obviously now know to be the senator. And at that point, he is now going to be escorted out. without having those consequences.
SPEAKER 17 :
That was CNN. That was CNN. Now, speaking of drama, speaking of theatrics, last night was a little bit of a roller coaster with the National Guard’s presence in California as directed by President Trump. You had some Clinton appointee judge, brother, I think, of Stephen Breyer, rule against Trump being able to dispatch the National Guard to California. And there was Gavin Newsom taking a victory lap Gavin Newsom, before the Ninth Circuit got involved, late last night, and you may not be aware of this, but let me share a little bit of theatrics. I give you more dinner theater performance, this time starring Gavin Newsom.
SPEAKER 14 :
Donald Trump will immediately back down. The courts have ruled on the guard. They will be back under my command, and he’ll be relieved immediately. Donald Trump were relieved of his command at noon tomorrow.
SPEAKER 17 :
Whoops, whoops, not so fast, said the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. They absolutely stayed the lower court’s judge and his ruling. And Trump has every bit of the prerogative to have the National Guard there. I mean, unbelievable, back and forth. And he had a big victory in his use of the National Guard. In California. So anyway, as the stomach turns continues, 800-655-MIKE. I want to put your voice front and center here on this Friday episode of the Mike Gallagher Show. I’ve got some extraordinary news to share with you regarding our Prison Fellowship Angel Tree campaign. I just got nothing but good news there. This weekend, of course, a big weekend. Flag Day, the anniversary, the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. There’s going to be a huge military parade. And incidentally, after this war between Israel and Iran has begun, pretty good timing for a military parade, huh? Nice for the world to see our military equipment and weaponry and arsenal on display for all the world to see. And incidentally, speaking of tomorrow, doesn’t Israel’s strike on Iran make the stupid no kings protests happen? The most ridiculous, silly, non-consequential, insignificant thing you can imagine. Aren’t those folks going to feel stupid marching around complaining about Trump while Israel and Iran are at war? And there could be sleeper cells here in the United States that we have to be aware of. We could be involved in this whether we like it or not. And they’re marching around with orange man badge signs and F Trump. Wow. Talk about all the wind getting out of the sails, a wind that wasn’t already there. They think it’s a mighty wind. It’s just a little tiny little poof. and they’re going to go away. Our number is 800-655-6453. Call, text. I want your voice front and center. On a busy Friday episode of The Mike Gallagher Show, we are glad you’re here.
SPEAKER 10 :

SPEAKER 17 :
Live look at the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington. If you’re watching on Salem News Channel, we’re so, of course, love to be heard every day in the great city of Seattle. Tim from Michigan texts, Padilla should be thankful that the security showed restraint. If he lunged at the secretary more forcibly than he did, he could have been shot. And I’m getting a lot of spirituality today. We need more God, less stupidity, he said. Rhode Island. Great having Rhode Island check in on the MyPillow text line. Interestingly, the only real king is Jesus Christ. The devil comes to confuse and deceive. I pray these no kings protesters tomorrow will see the truth. But the Democrats are out in force. They’re all ready for Act 1, Scene 1 of Brigadoon at the La Comedia Dinner Theater. And they actually work as the waiters beforehand. Then they get into costume and come out and start the performance. We almost forgot Spartacus. Spartacus was on fire last night after Padilla pulled his stunt. I give you Senator Cory Booker.
SPEAKER 03 :
If you can make Alex Padilla forcibly kneel before this executive, when does it stop? He’s a United States senator. And if you can force him to kneel to his knees violently, when does it stop? What does it say to other Americans who want to speak up? What does it say to other Americans that want to exercise their constitutional duty? What does it say to other Americans this weekend when they want to peacefully protest? What does it say to other Americans from humble backgrounds? who know poverty, that if a United States senator who stands up to do his job could be made to heal, driven to his knees, violently handcuffed, what does it say? What message does it send? Everybody in this body should see that this is a crossroads. And scene. And scene.
SPEAKER 17 :
That was, look, of all the Spartacus performances, that was right up there in the top ten. I mean, man, his eyes were bulging and his mouth was, nostrils flaring and screaming and spittle coming out of his mouth. I mean, he put it all into that. Did you see that? Wow. Gosh, that’s good. Gosh, that’s good stuff. And, of course, he’s trying to get people fired up, of course, for tomorrow, the No Kings protest. President Trump had a pretty simple explanation of the No Kings protest. He said, you know, I’m a king? I don’t think so.
SPEAKER 06 :
There are several No Kings protests planned across the country on Saturday as well. What are your thoughts on those? What are they called?
SPEAKER 13 :
No Kings? No Kings. I don’t feel like a king. I have to go through hell to get stuff approved. A king would say, I’m not going to get this. A king would have never had the California mandate to even be talking to him. He wouldn’t have to call up Mike Johnson and Thune and say, fellas, you got to pull this off. And after years, we get it done. No, no, we’re not a king. We’re not a king at all. Thank you very much.
SPEAKER 17 :
We don’t deserve the guy. We just don’t deserve this man. Colleen’s in Chicago. Colleen, I hope you can up your game here because you’re coming right after Spartacus’ performance. Are you ready to be on the Mike Gallagher Show? Yes, sir, I certainly am reporting for duty, and dittos. Good. Hey, I appreciate that. That’s very kind of you. What do you think about Senator Alex Padilla, who is starring as Finnegan in Finnegan’s Rainbow this weekend at the dinner theater?
SPEAKER 12 :
At the end of this, I want to get back to the theater because I have something I’ve got to speak to you about. Real quick, real quick. I’ve got a minute. Go quick. Yes, Padilla, Padilla, and… took his cue, downsized it a bit from the January 6th production, and had that. There was no question that that was staged. He even had a staffer with him. Didn’t say a word to validate who he said he was.
SPEAKER 17 :
Oh, he sat around, Colleen, and said, I happen to be in a building, and I noticed that Kristi Noem was over there. To be or not to be! Bunch of clowns.
SPEAKER 06 :
Let’s go to Lukenbach, Texas. Waylon and Willie and the boys. Waylon would have turned 87 on Sunday, passed way back in 2002. That’s our birthday for introduction to our Mark and Mike segment. Let us not waste time, my friend. Clock is running. Israeli run.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, I’m just exhausted from show prep. I’m too tired to do the show. I’m just worn out. I mean, my goodness, where do you want to start? I mean, yesterday, just yesterday alone between Israel, between the hearing with the three governors, which was, if you’re a Democrat, brutal. Alex Padilla, let’s start with him. Let’s start with the theatrics of this clown. Yep. Was your social media feed filled with all these righteous indignation posts of all the Democrats? That this could happen to you?
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s all orchestrated. Of course it was. This was all planned. We’re going to send Alex Padilla in. He’s going to disrupt the news conference. He’s going to get arrested. And then everybody, three, two, one, go with your social media posts saying, look at these Gestapo tactics. Look at what Trump world will do to a senator who just wants to ask a question.
SPEAKER 17 :
If you look at the video, you see he’s the one doing most of the thrashing and the flailing. They’re not. They’re just kind of holding him back so he doesn’t storm Kristi Noem. I mean, and if you remember, it’s so simple. The media won’t connect these dots very transparently, but conservative media does. They were out in D.C., in the D.C. area playing baseball. And he rushed back to L.A. with the express purpose of the summer stock production of Pippin at the Rock Comedia Dinner Theater. It’s all theatrics. Look, and the level of propaganda surrounding it has reached an unprecedented level. It has. Oh, Los Angeles Times, huge cover. First, they came for the immigrants. Then they took down our Latino senator. Hit the music, Eric. When last we checked with little-known Senator Alex Padilla, he was toiling in his office. But then we found him thrown to the ground. Handcuffs slapped on him. They took down our Latino senator. Not just our senator, our Latino senator.
SPEAKER 06 :
Exactly right. If Adam Schiff had shown up, he would have taken down our gringo senator. I don’t know, whatever.
SPEAKER 17 :
My producer has a great theory about this. She said they’ve been waiting for days now for like a George Floyd moment in the L.A. riots. Something. And they didn’t get it. I mean, largely because the National Guard went in and helped restore order. So they didn’t get it. So they said, all right, well, we don’t have, you know, something with a citizen. Let’s do it ourselves. We’ll just concoct it ourselves. Now, let’s look at the courts. How about the Ninth Circuit late night? A lot of people went to bed thinking the Ninth Circuit, at least as a stay for now, Trump still has the legal authority, which of course he does. Of course he does. That would be like George Wallace. Mm-hmm. convinced the courts to allow the National Guard to leave because they’re not going to enforce desegregation efforts on the federal government level. We all know that Trump has the authority to do this. But, Mark, the most depressing part of all of it is just witnessing the way the left is rooting for against America. They’re cheering. I’m going to give you an example of a slew of headlines from a daily email I get from one of the liberal publications. I’m not even going to give them the mention because I don’t want to give them any clicks.
SPEAKER 05 :
I don’t want to know.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, I’ll tell you off air. Yeah, I’ll text it because here’s their breakdown. Big major headline. Trump humiliated as Israel strikes Iran right after last ditch plea. What? Well, the Wall Street Journal is reporting. Yes, Trump is humiliated. Somehow Trump gets humiliated because according to the Wall Street Journal, President Trump. Israel allegedly asked Israel Monday not to do this. Don’t strike. You know, there’s a better way to do this. We’re going to try to get this to it. But Israel decided, look, and now, incidentally, Trump’s all in. Fine. It’s great.
SPEAKER 06 :
How much waiting is Israel supposed to do? Are they supposed to wait until Jerusalem is turned into, as I said, glowing green glass? Correct.
SPEAKER 17 :
That’s exactly right. So so but that’s the first headline. Trump humiliated as Israel strikes Iran right after last ditch plea. Trump plots major Elon Musk snub after their furious feud. Let’s get better headlines. I know that feud is over. It’s done. Over and done. Here’s another one. All in order here. This is one email, one page. Judge absolutely tears apart Trump’s National Guard plot. Well, that didn’t age well because the Ninth Circuit came in. Yeah, his plot. His plot.
SPEAKER 06 :
To observe the rule of law, the evil plot to protect the people of Los Angeles. Oh, what a nefarious Dr. Evil up there in his lair with the skinless cat.
SPEAKER 17 :
You know, all right, there’s more. I got more. Trump tells half a million people from these four countries to leave. How about another one? Trump world troublemaker spotted amid Ice Barbie’s security drama. That’s their clever nickname for Kristi Noem, Ice Barbie. I’m not done. Trump uses far right buzzword in wild immigration rant. I mean, and on.
SPEAKER 06 :
What’s the buzzword?
SPEAKER 17 :
i don’t have i think i’m gonna look i’m just looking at headlines how about this all right buzzword like legal or law or borders military safety yes yes all right and i got two more all from the same way all from the same email which you’re going to share with all of us because we’ve got this kind of fun dan melania how about this oh no don’t don’t mess with her shuns trump’s attempt at shameless flattery at white house picnic and finally the best one of all that i don’t even i have no idea big bird goes down as house passes doge cuts you saw they defunded public broadcast i mean and i had that off of our lightning round list even i forgot about that one I mean, my gosh. And tomorrow, the big military parade. Incidentally, considering the war now, and it is war between Israel and Iran, the big question that you and I are terrified to touch, I know you and I know me. Oh, you want to touch this issue? There’s a drop. Go touch it. Go touch whether your audience wants us to be involved in this or not. Oh, you mean involved militarily? Go touch whether we should be involved in this war between Israel and Iran.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s hard knowing. You know what the difference is? Because like Ukraine, which is a European problem, this right now is an Israeli problem. And while Europe has failed to step up to handle the problem in its backyard, Israel is supremely ready to handle this. And, of course, they’re doing it with a good amount of material and money that we have given them because that’s what you do to help an ally. But in terms of American, you know, boots on the ground, no. And I don’t think Israel wants them. I don’t think they’re going to ask us for them. So, no. Consider it.
SPEAKER 17 :
And if they do?
SPEAKER 06 :
And if they ask? If they ask for our help militarily? Okay, but however, I’m going to duck the question, though, because I’m not.
SPEAKER 17 :
I mean, let’s understand something. Even though their Iranian guard and all the top generals were wiped out, apparently, with this, by the way, brilliant surgical strike. I mean, they took the one guy out. In an apartment building with such precision that nobody else in the apartment building was harmed. Just him. Iran is paper tiger.
SPEAKER 06 :
I mean, they’ve got missiles. I don’t want to take it lightly. Iraq wasn’t that big a military either. Remember the scuds. But to answer your actual question, which I will now do. No, this is not an issue for American troops right now at all.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, I tend to agree with you, but I also struggle with that because I know how Israel needs us and Israel relies on us.
SPEAKER 06 :
We have plenty in terms of cold, hard cash and cold, hard military material. They should be fine. Thank you.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yep, I’m with you, although you have to understand, let’s recognize, let’s stipulate, the position you and I have is probably contrary to the official position of the United States of America.
SPEAKER 06 :
Because I have… Trump is… The official position of the United States of America is, we ain’t doing that unless there is a distinct American national security compelling interest, which in Ukraine there is not. In Israel versus Iran… There may be.
SPEAKER 17 :
Let me tell you why there may be, because Iran’s immediate response was they blamed Israel and the United States. And do you think there aren’t sleeper cells, Iranian sleeper cells in the United States right now? And with that in mind, anybody stupid enough to venture out among these idiotic, you know, Chrissy Walton inspired protests tomorrow? Better keep your head on a swivel.
SPEAKER 06 :
No kings. When serious things happen in a dangerous world, and I hate that all this is happening. I hope it all calms down and Iran learns its lesson. I know I’m dreaming. But there’s something about this event and the seriousness and the gravity of it that makes this entire thing tomorrow, this no kings slumber party in the daytime, look so ridiculous, so irrelevant, so stupid. And I’m just…
SPEAKER 17 :
It’s so ridiculous. It’s embarrassing. What an embarrassment that people are going to march around with stupid sandwich boards. Trump’s a fascist. And, you know, it does sort of, the Israel strike does sort of take the wind out of their sails in a big way tomorrow. It kind of puts it in proper… But you said something that made me, I went to bed last night thinking, I feel passionately and strongly about all of our positions, but I really wish the temperature would lower a little bit. Let me give you an example. I watched Mike Johnson holding a media scrum after this Alex Padilla thing happened. And Johnson was, of course, saying the reasonable things. This was theatrics. He overreacted. Anybody who charges a cabinet secretary without any kind of identification is going to say. But there was a guy behind him who was walking behind him. I believe it was a member of the House of Representatives. I’m pretty sure it was a congressman. And he was shrieking at Johnson. You’re a liar, blah, blah, blah.
SPEAKER 06 :
So a Democrat.
SPEAKER 17 :
But the look of rage on his face, it was like if he could have gotten within three feet of Speaker Johnson, he would have throttled him.
SPEAKER 06 :
That’s why he had to be taken down. Nobody knows who he is. Nobody cares who he is. And threatening. And guess what? We ain’t doing threatening behavior right now. Our guy took a bullet. That’s exactly right. A Bernie supporter tried to kill people at the baseball game. This is what you guys are doing. So excuse us if we’re on a little bit of heightened alert in this era of the violent left.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, I’m going to end on a positive note because something pretty crazy has happened. We’re sending 842 children of prisoners here in America to summer camp. 842? So, you know me, if I can get to 900 on a Friday, I’m going to call it a great day.
SPEAKER 06 :
842 kids. Let’s do it, kids. Let’s go.
SPEAKER 17 :
Go to mikeonline.com and click on that prison fellowship banner. These are Christian camps where the children of American prisoners get a week of sunshine and fun and canoeing and hiking and the gospel. That’s exactly right. The gospel. A lot of these kids accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior at these camps. A lot of these kids… And you could change these kids’ life. And a scholarship for a child, the cost to sponsor a child is $200. The other day I said, hey, could everybody just pop, if I could get 10 people to pop in $100.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right, if somebody said to go to All of God is $20, fine, go to MikeOnline.com. With $20, just send a kid to camp.
SPEAKER 17 :
But I said if I could get 10 people to pop in $100, Mark, 97 people popped in $100. Let’s do that. Oh, it was unbelievable. That’s right. So MikeOnline.com. If I could hit the ground running at 10.05 when I start the Mike Gallagher show here on 660 AM The Answer, and I can brag on the Mark Davis audience getting this post.
SPEAKER 05 :
Love that. You love when you do that.
SPEAKER 17 :
And I will give you full credit. We’re at 840. And you can see the counter on the site there. So if you go to MikeOnline.com, click on the banner, you’ll see it says right now 842 out of 455.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s cool.
SPEAKER 17 :
What’s double 455? Let’s see. 910, right? 910 would double our gold. That’s going to be our goal. That’s going to be our goal.
SPEAKER 06 :
So a crazy world and everybody full of it and ridiculous things happening. Let’s bring some sanity, some clarity, some Christ into some kids’ lives. Let’s do it, do it, do it, do it.
SPEAKER 17 :
I love you so much. I love you too so much. Thanks for letting me do that on your show. And please be careful this weekend. Everybody be safe. Pretty serious. Situational awareness. Look around. Make sure you’re aware. And if you’re constitutionally allowed to carry, carry.
SPEAKER 06 :
This will be a good time. Happy Friday. That is Mike Gallagher, MikeOnline.com. Click that button. Let’s do that for our buddy. Not for our buddy. Of course, we’re doing it for him because we love him. We’re doing it for these kids.
SPEAKER 10 :
