Well, John, one of the most terrifying zombie movies ever made was 28 Days Later.

Absolutely not. There was also 28 Weeks Later. That was also scary. Now we have a new undead story in 28 Years Later.

There were so many dead. Infected and non-infected alike.

You know, I feel he’s a bit young.

He’s ready, James.

Once you walk onto that mainland, there’s no rescues. Look at what’s in front of you. There are many kinds of death. And some are better than others.
SPEAKER 03 :
You know, John, I’d say being eaten by flesh-eating zombies is near the bottom. What do you think? Yeah, the makeup artist was good. Yeah, very good.
SPEAKER 07 :
Let’s just say that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. Well, as the title suggests, it is now 28 years after the initial outbreak of rage, that terrible virus turning people into crazed flesh-eating zombies. Okay. Of course, it gets out of a lab. I think there were monkeys, whatever, the usual. It’s not worldwide yet. At this point, it’s just in Great Britain, and Great Britain is completely quarantined. It’s about time, by the way, somebody quarantined Great Britain, I just want to say. with just a few pockets of humans forming compounds for survival. The waters surrounding Britain are constantly patrolled to prevent escape, leaving any survivors to fend for themselves. This results in a primitive, barbaric society. Off the coast of Scotland, there is a small island village, which can only be accessed through a strip of land during low tide. Okay, so most of the time you can’t even get there or get away from there. It’s sort of a post-apocalyptic brigadoon, and everything is medieval, and everyone must choose a task, like seamstress, hunter, farmer. There’s no IT positions. Got it. None of that available. Very, very primitive. This is a nightmare, but they managed okay. Over time, a rite of passage has evolved, John, wherein young teen boys go hunting on the mainland to kill some infected. Think about that. All they got is bow and arrows. Scary stuff. These infective had, they’ve evolved into three different groups. So you got these big, fat, slug-like ragers who are obese and squirming along the ground. They eat worms. Just terribly disgusting. Then there are the classic running ragers from the first film. They’re like zombies who lettered in track. And above them are the alphas. It’s a new breed who are smarter, stronger, faster. And the worst ones of the alphas, they rip out spinal columns, John. Is that even possible?
SPEAKER 07 :
No, I don’t think so.
SPEAKER 03 :
I have no idea. Okay, well, anyway, it is in this movie. Our main character is 12 years old. How about that? His name is Spike, and he’s itching for action. His dad, Jamie, is played by Aaron Taylor Johnson, good actor. He’s tough, while mom, Isla, or Isla. Isla? It’s spelled I-S-L-A. I think it’s Isla.
SPEAKER 07 :
Isla. No, it’s Isla.
SPEAKER 03 :
Isla. Isla. Anyway, Isla, played by Jodie Comer, who’s a fine actress, is mostly bedridden and crazed. So Dad takes young Spike on land to face the monsters. It’s intense, especially since they only have bows and arrows, as I said before. But later, Spike sees Dad do something bad. Well, now Spike wants nothing to do with Dad, but he does want to help his mom, who is sick. Spike decides to bring her inland on his own in hopes of finding an almost mythical doctor who’s played by Ralph Fiennes, by the way. Can Spike get healing for his mom? Can anyone survive? And can the world survive 28 years later? What do you think?
SPEAKER 07 :
Beats the heck out of me.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. Well, what works in 28 years later? First of all, this is terrifying stuff for the most part with danger around every corner. It’s like a quiet place with words. It really is. Only these are naked humans running at you because they’ve gone completely insane and they just want to eat anything in sight, including you. The pace, John, is very good. The pace of the story, that is. Mixing drudgery, moments of drudgery with a breakneck action. And then there’s mounting tension in between. Very well done on the pace. The script is solid. John, these are interesting people. They really are, especially Spike. Not just cardboard cutouts running from zombies. There’s depth to these characters. There’s even charm and a few laughs at one point. I was really surprised. A small political message. Get this. Extreme threats take extreme actions. Tucker should watch this. Yeah. I kind of think. This is very un-woke. Get that. The guys hunt. Women basically prepare meals. Well, why? Because who’s the fastest and the strongest?
SPEAKER 07 :
The men.
SPEAKER 03 :
The men. Typically. And in this world, you can’t, you know, there is no… Second place. Yeah. Yeah. There is no, well, we’re going to allow everybody to… I mean, if a girl can run like a guy and shoot like a guy, hey, more power to her. But everybody who goes out there are the guys. Very unwoke. There’s no showings of the view, I guess, on this show. And finally, Alfie Williams. Yes. He’s a terrific lead action figure as young Spike. I’m serious. He is the strength of the film. It’s almost like this Katniss Everdeen, you know, from Hunger Games in the making here because there’s going to be more movies. This movie is actually part of a new trilogy. All right. He’s touching. He’s tough. He is a very interesting character. One of the best young lead characters I’ve seen in many, many years. And I was just I was really enjoying him growing in his role throughout the movie. OK, what doesn’t work in 28 years later? Well, first of all, it’s a pretty depressing film throughout. It really is. There are some shocking moments, OK, like holding a skull in your hands of somebody you recently knew. Things like that. The entire rite of passage seems kind of idiotic. He’s not a teenager yet, but he’s ready. But you send these new teenagers out with somebody with them, but out onto the island to hunt the undead. It’s really something. Shockingly, Savage kills to open the film. It’s like a rite of passage in itself for us. And there is an assisted suicide scene that’s going to offend some people. It really will. One other thing, this movie gets a little too artsy at times. Just play the movie, all right?
SPEAKER 07 :
Artsy for a horror film.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, yeah, and I won’t go any further than that. No, not most of the time. Most of the time it’s just a movie, okay? All right, Rotten Tomatoes gave this 92%. I agree. Four stars. This is an excellent movie. I found 28 Years Later to be one of the very best movies. I still think it’s probably not my very favorite movie of the year. It’s probably second or third. Probably third. But it’s probably the best made. It’s so raw. Oh, one other thing that I didn’t like. Too much nudity. You’ve got all these nude zombies running around. They show everything. I get it. They’re zombies, but
SPEAKER 07 :
Can you have a clothed one?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, you know, because, you know, when they died, I doubt they lost all their, you know, I’m just saying. Anyway.
SPEAKER 07 :
That’s 28 years later. The seamstress probably doesn’t exist, does it, in the zombie world?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, no, John, but these are, well, yeah, I guess they’ve probably been around for a while, the zombies have. They could be brand new, or they could have been around for quite a while. Once you become one, you is one.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, I can see him not having clothes. I mean, literally. Oh, I know. But I don’t need to see that. I mean, but I get that.
SPEAKER 03 :
It was like watching a National Geographic.
SPEAKER 07 :
Of zombies.
SPEAKER 03 :
You know what I mean? It was really something.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
Politically, I’m going to give it a four. That’s not very woke. Hmm. There’s no, I mean, it doesn’t matter. Whoever you are, if you can do it, you do it. More religious, I’m going to do one for all the nude zombies. I’m sorry.
SPEAKER 07 :
Nude zombies.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, bottom line, do I recommend going to see 28 Years Later? Obviously, this is an acquired taste. This has to be the kind of movie you like.
SPEAKER 07 :
It’s pretty grotesque. I’ve seen just the images of Andy. It’s pretty grotesque.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right, but in terms of is this a well-made movie, here’s the thing, John. The first one was a shocking movie because it scared you in ways that had not been done before with zombie movies. It really did. This is touching at times, very touching and very moving at times with a couple of characters.
SPEAKER 07 :
Does it like scary? Does it like startle you at times and such?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, there are very scary times. There are other times that are not. And there’s some beautiful scenery, by the way.
SPEAKER 07 :
I see that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, this kid had never been on land, you know. So he goes on land, he’s never seen anything so big as Britain.
SPEAKER 07 :
And that’s because the zombies aren’t in the water?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, they don’t go in the water.
SPEAKER 07 :
Gotcha.
SPEAKER 03 :
They don’t go across the water.
SPEAKER 07 :
Non-swimming zombies.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, thank goodness.
SPEAKER 07 :

At least so far. Hey, there’s two more movies, so who knows? They’re not swimmers yet. Yeah.
SPEAKER 07 :
They haven’t learned that yet.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right. But if you like this kind of movie, do I recommend 28 Years Later? Yes, I do. Absolutely. This is a very well-made movie. It’s a blockbuster. Do I think it’s going to sell huge? No, because it’s for a certain audience. But I think it’s going to sell really well within that audience. I think people are going to like it.

Again, whoever did the makeup, just looking at some of the images, they get an A+.

Oh, yeah. They do great makeup.

Right. It immediately fills up your eyes. You’re done. Yeah, they go dark and all this, and they glaze, and then you are a killing machine. Okay. And you will eat people, anything, and you’re full of rage. There you go.

Was that you at home with your kids? That’s it. What is that unholy sound? Stop laughing. All right. Well, 11-year-old Elio has lost his parents and is living with Aunt Olga. She’s played by Zoe Saldana, an officer on an Air Force base. He’s depressed, of course. I mean, he lost his parents. But then he learns about space and the Voyager program, which works to contact other forms of life out there. So Elliot wants to make contact himself, actually hoping to get abducted. Someone who actually wants to get abducted. Having no real family on Earth, he wants an extraterrestrial family. But Elio’s driving Olga crazy, so she’s sending him to a military boarding school. Yikes. That’s not going to work for him. Eventually, Elio gets his wish and is beamed up to the Communiverse, a place where the sharpest beings in the galaxy come to exchange ideas. They’re communing. Or communicating. Maybe they’re communists. I have no idea. Okay. The aliens on board all believe Elio is the leader of Earth. Well, it’s a lie, of course. He’s not Trump. Just saying. But Elio gladly plays along. But then the Communiverse is threatened by the evil Lord Grygon, played by Brad Garrett, a space worm who has denied membership in the group. Oh, no! No! Elio commits to helping battle Grygon’s invaders, but he’s not ready for such things. He’s not actually going to battle them, but he’s going to negotiate. Fortunately, Elio finds an unlikely ally in Lord Grygon’s friendly worm son, Glordon, played by Remy Edgerly. These two battle as they bond, bringing laughter and action along the way. Well, can Elio save the galaxy? Well, someone needs to, right, John? I mean, it’s about time. And has he finally found his home? And that’s the story of Elio. What do you think?

It is. All right. What works in Elio? Well, first of all, this film, it connects with anyone who doesn’t feel they belong. All right. In fact, John, anytime we don’t feel we belong in one place, what do we want?

A new place.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, another place. Exactly. It’s a touching message. And it’s a message that basically says, look, we’re always looking for another place. Maybe we’ve got to look within.
SPEAKER 07 :
The grass isn’t always greener.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right. And exactly. Find your home where you are. Doesn’t mean that you can’t find another place, but give where you are another look. Okay. There’s a fun nod to The Last Starfighter. It’s a movie with Elio being replaced on Earth by a clone. That was pretty funny. The humor is fairly consistent and accessible to all ages. The music is really good, too. Remy Edgerly steals the show as Glordon, the kid worm. He’s dumb, and dumb is always funny. He’s the kid pleaser of the movie. He’s the one in the movie that all the kids are going to enjoy watching. Naturally, the look of the film is fantastic, as you were saying, with Pixar’s expected flair. Young people, John, let’s be honest, they’re just going to be extremely forgiving of a movie. They’re going to like this film. That’s what I predict. There’s bright colors, and you get this silly friend, and you get this stupid plot, and it’s supposed to be stupid, and that’s fun. And, you know, can… You know, can Elio bring peace? That’s also a nice thing for kids to think about, right? So it’s basically a nice little movie. I think kids are going to like it. I think young people are going to be very forgiving. Now, what doesn’t work in Elio? First of all, I’m going to get right to it. It’s incredibly woke. I’m going to tell you, folks, your kids are being indoctrinated. And they’re being indoctrinated by imagery much more than by words. Okay. For instance, and they’ve been doing this a lot with Pixar lately. Olga, she runs her military unit. Okay. And she’s under a female colonel. Okay. And apparently a female general, my wife said. Okay. So basically all women in the chain of command. Okay. A white kid. There’s a group of bullies who bully Elio and a white kid leads them and hits Elio. But there’s a black kid in the in the group. And of course, he’s the only one who feels remorse. Of course. I’m so sick of this. It was unbelievable. The only useful white guy in this movie is largely a lunatic. The film is pure indoctrination for young minds. The villain is painted as having toxic masculinity and must tear off his facade to be nurturing. I mean, in fact, John, there was nothing positive about masculinity at all. This is the anti Jason Statham movie. It is. And it was directed by, you know, women. And this was a movie… Angry women, it sounds like. Yeah, yeah. This was feministas, okay? This is a movie, white conservative men, if you go to this and you don’t feel insulted, you’re just dumb. What are you, thick? Do you not get a hint? I mean, this thing, it was just absolutely… putting out all the usual, you know, it’s like watching commercials on TV, right? The white guy has to be the bad or dumb guy almost every commercial. That was what it was like in this. And also, but this also was really ripping on masculinity because in that culture, the worms, they get a new suit. You come to the time when you’re, I don’t know, a teenage worm or whatever, and you get a new suit, and it’s a warrior suit where you can do warfare and all this, right? Yeah. But that’s a bad thing. And if you just tear that suit off, get rid of that and nurture. Then you’re good. Do you see what I’m saying? Yep. Okay. There should have been more done with the clones. Okay. The clones are funny and they’re more likable. Actually, the storylines with the clones were the best part of the movie. The biggest problem in this movie, though, setting aside all the politics, is the lack of humor outside of Glordon. All right. There are a bunch of diverse aliens. Oh, man. He gets taken up there and you got this huge group, very diverse group of aliens. None of them are funny. None of them are funny. They’re totally uninteresting. They’ve got very, you know, unique characters, every one of them. They talk like, I don’t know, they’re unique. But this is a massive lost opportunity. They were a bore, John. They were a total bore. The story is pretty one-dimensional, and it drags through the middle. So there are the weaknesses of Elio. Now, Rotten Tomatoes. Obviously, they liked Elio. They gave it 86%. quality man this is a hard one i’m going to go three and a half for kids okay and kids are who matter I mean, kids do not care about quality. Okay, so all that matters is can you put a bunch of bright, shiny things in front of them and have the chase scenes and have a funny character they can enjoy and have one aspect of the movie to which they can bond. And they can in this movie because almost everybody’s felt like they didn’t belong in a place at one point or another. I mean, a little kid doesn’t feel like they belong when their parents are having a dinner party. Right?

And they want their own place. So I think kids are going to be able to relate. I think they will have some fun with Gloridon, certainly, and they’ll see a lot of bright sights and sounds, and that’s going to be enough for them. For me, this was two stars. Okay. For me, this was one star. I was not happy.

You were in pain?
SPEAKER 03 :
I was in pain. I wanted, I just didn’t, yeah. I didn’t want to go on. Political, I’m going to give it a one, obviously, because just all the imagery, it wasn’t so much the messaging, although there was a lot of… Tucker would like this movie. There was a lot of heavy pacifist messaging. Anything about masculinity was crushed. And, you know, so there was some messaging on that, but mainly it was just the imagery of the wokeness. And more religious, I’m going to give it a four, because I like the… message of those who don’t feel they belong are always going to look for a place where they do. Do I recommend going to Elio? Once again, it doesn’t matter if I recommend it. Your kid will demand it. So you are going to Elio. I just want you to know your kid is going to get one more wave. Hollywood keeps putting out movie after movie, and so many of them are another wave of wokeness that bathes your child’s mind in all these woke imagery and this idea that, I don’t know, white men and masculinity is a bad thing. So go to it. It’s not a terribly unenjoyable movie. It’s a little hard for adults, but I think your kids will like it.

There was a study recently done that just over a third of men report that they’re struggling to understand their place in the community. Well, don’t watch Elio. And I didn’t know this was this movie, so that was completely separate from all of this.

All right, John. Rebel Wilson. She stars as Sam, a super spy from an agency called Five Eyes. Well, Sam lives a double life with her friends, completely unaware of the dangers she often faces. But now Sam’s best friend from childhood, Betsy, is getting married. She’s played by a fellow Pitch Perfect alum, Anna Camp. Well, Betsy wants Sam to be maid of honor, but Sam keeps getting called away for her spy duties. So Betsy replaces Sam with Virginia, the sister of the groom who desperately wants to be maid of honor. She’s a backstabber, John. All right, Virginia takes over planning the wedding, and so she moves it all to their family estate. After all, they’re ludicrously wealthy, and she wants to show off. Well, unfortunately, a bunch of evil mercenaries crashed the wedding. Why? Because they know everyone they need is going to be there, and they’re very fortunate about this. Why do they need all these people? Because four of them, John, from four different groups, are wearing special rings that open a secret vault full of gold. And it’s got a lot of gold in the mansion. So, John, this is a heist. And their leader, Kurt, he’s played by Stephen Dorff, is in complete command. He’s got countless skilled killers at his disposal. But they weren’t counting on Sam. Luckily, Sam has gone out of her way… to be, let’s just say she’s a badass. Can I just put it this way? And she’s off on her own also because she had a falling out with Betsy. So she’s off on her own, kind of like Bruce Willis and Die Hard, right? And so she can pick them off one by one by one. Then when the evil starts, she begins picking them off and now she’s out for blood. Well, now it’s war, as Kurt and his men fight a super spy they never expected. It’s Bridehard! What do you say? Sounds good. Okay. I actually really like the premise, and I like the role a lot. For Rebel Wilson. Rebel Wilson, before we get into this, is one of the most effortlessly funny people in Hollywood, in my opinion. I mean, she can say almost anything and sound funny. She’s very good at it. Okay, what works in Brideheart? Well, first of all, Rebel Wilson, she has a few funny lines, and she has some good sight gags, especially out on a lawn at one point, and you’re watching her at a distance fighting. Stephen Dorff. He’s always a very charismatic villain. I don’t know if you’ve seen much of him. Do you ever see the first movie Blade?
SPEAKER 07 :

He was the villain of that. He’s very good. Very good. Okay. What else works in Bridehards? Nothing. Oh, no. What a letdown. OK, what doesn’t work in Brideheart? The writing is horrifying. Oh, my gosh, John. There are so few funny lines. This is wickedly unfunny. This is just awful. OK, the worst part of the film was the bridesmaids. Okay. So while Rebel Wilson, she’s still doing her thing fairly well, although you could tell the energy wasn’t there. Not her normal energy, but the lines were so bad. I don’t know what she could have done with it. But all the girls who played the bride and the bridesmaids, awful. They all overacted like they combined Coke with amphetamines. I mean, it was unbelievable. It was the worst comic acting I have seen in any movie in several years. Unbelievable. Wow. You know how comedy, there’s so much to do with, you can’t just, there’s so much timing on how you deliver each line, right? And how it’s timed with the people around you. They had no timing, zero timing. And also you have to have some subtlety in your facial expressions. Otherwise it’s over the top and it’s not funny, right? You’re overdoing it. It’s like you’re yelling at the crowd. You’re supposed to be laughing at me right now. awful awful acting uh divine joy randolph she was one of them now she’s won an oscar john but someone needs to tear that out of her hands for this wretched performance i mean for the this is one of the first times in my life i believe an oscar should be taken away for a subsequent movie This was so bad. She was a nightmare. But she wasn’t the worst one. The worst one by far was Anna Chlumsky, who’s not a bad actress normally. She played Virginia, the jealous maid of honor. Her character was the Jar Jar Binks of this film. unbelievably bad. It was awkward and squeamish every time she dared open her mouth or even came on the screen. It was awful. I felt physical pain as she spoke. She was so bad. Okay, and all the rest, the bridesmaids, all of them awful. Okay, just awful. Silly fight scenes. The comedic timing was more off than trying to use a calendar for the wrong year.

Okay. The side characters weren’t cast for this film. They were sentenced. And you had a few who are some actors and actresses who I generally like, by the way. But it’s just, they’re stuck in this film. They’re stuck in this disaster. And I just look at them and say, I’m sorry for you. Even though you got to check that it’s probably bigger than everything I’ll make in my life. I am sorry for you. Because at least I don’t have this on my resume. This was a car crash movie, John, where you can’t look away. You got to just see how bad it is. And it just keeps sprawling along being awful. awful awful you got a few decent moments with rebel right because she’s really good but it just doesn’t hold up it it absolutely doesn’t it was so awful this is probably the worst film of the year so far i think it’s got to be wow all right this is the worst film of the year now rotten tomatoes for reasons that are absolutely beyond me gave this all the way up to 22 percent oh how

Yeah. No, that’s with 18 reviewers. So I think four of these reviewers went completely insane and said, yeah, it’s watchable. And I did read a couple of those, and it’s not like they thought it was good. They didn’t. But they said it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Not too seriously. There was no writing. There was no acting. There was no directing. There was nothing. This was horrible in every way, shape, or form. This was not as bad as Y2K last year. That was on a different level from everything. But this was awful. Quality, I’m going to give this a half star. Wow. Okay? And I’m doing that just for Rebel and Stephen Dorff.

At least they were doing the roles pretty well. Okay, that’s it. That’s all it’s got. That’s it. I’m going to give it a half star. Political, I’m going to give it two because there’s a fair amount of the usual woke messaging throughout it. Just the imagery of it. It’s just dumb. A lot of bad white guys in the usual. Yada, yada. I don’t really care. I’m tired of it. But that’s okay because I didn’t care about the political score. It wouldn’t have mattered if it was a five. I would give this a half star and say, don’t go to this. I don’t care if all the stars were Republican. Do not go to this movie. More religious, three. Well, no. Let’s give it… Let’s give it two. It had a little bit of the bridesmaid’s bawdy humor, which you can say, well, Andy, that could be really funny. I agree, John.

Yeah. If you’re going to do the bridesmaid’s type of bawdy humor, right, make it good. Okay. Otherwise, you’re just shoving it in there because you can’t write. So you’re just trying to be gross. Girl gross, right? When you can’t act and you can’t write and you can’t do anything. I can’t believe that people in Hollywood actually put down cash, cold hard cash, to put this movie out. Bride Hard is a disaster. Okay, folks, do I recommend going to Bride Hard? Oh, my gosh. I recommend whatever auditorium it’s in, the movie to the right of it or the left is better. Go there instead. Go there instead. I don’t even know what those movies are.

I do not care. You could just sit out in the car, leave the AC off, and melt. Yes, melt. It might be better.

Yeah, that’s a better fate. It’s just like it said in 28 Years Later. There are better and worse ways to die. Okay? You don’t want this. You don’t want Brideheart to be the last thing. I’m just saying. Not the way to go. Wow. Oh, my gosh. Don’t go to this movie.

It was so horrible. And Corey went to that with me just because she wanted to just go to the beginning and see if it was any good at all. We both were looking at each other. It was horrifying at the beginning. She stayed throughout just because, like I said, the car crash thing.

Both of us, we couldn’t look away. You know, when you drive by a car. Oh, yeah. And I know this is morbid, but you’re kind of wanting to see, well, how bad did the car get tagged? And you do want to say, geez, I hope nobody, you know, is in an ambulance. Right. But with this movie, yeah, it was just this morbid curiosity. How bad could it get? And this is going to set back Rebel Wilson. This will set back her career. Her next one, Rebel, your next one, you now have had your one-off. Your next one has to be good. No second chances after this. All right. Brydard, don’t go.

So just a hot weekend. Just a hot weekend. Although, you know, somebody was saying today that, man, it’s hot early. No, it’s not. We’re almost Fourth of July. I mean, we’re heading into the last week of June next week. Right. I mean, this is the longest day of the year. This is pretty normal, actually, this time of year.

We’re actually at our closest facing of the sun right now.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, don’t let the climate alarmist scare you into thinking that something is abnormal right now because no, it’s not.

This is very normal for us.

John, what year was that? Two, three years ago where we had all those days over 100? We had those when I was a kid too, Andy. I know that, but I’m saying we had one a few years ago and then it hasn’t happened since.

Actually, last year, we were really fortunate. I don’t know. I’d have to go look. Don’t quote me on this. I don’t think we had one day that was over 100. But Colorado summers, and again, this is all the way back to when I was a kid, we’d have a handful of over 100-degree days in the summertime. That really hasn’t changed, Andy, since I was a young boy.
SPEAKER 03 :
No. It’s an arid region. Why would it change?
SPEAKER 07 :
If anything, I would go as far as to say that Again, this is my memory. I don’t keep a journal or a log or anything like that. But I would go as far as to say, Andy, that we are typically wetter and cooler now with all of what I’m looking at to the west of us and you’re looking at. I think we’re wetter and cooler now, more humid for sure than when I was a kid.
SPEAKER 03 :
It seems a little bit more. I mean, now I didn’t live here. Well, I did move here at 17, so I was kind of a kid. Yeah, so you would remember.
SPEAKER 07 :
It just wasn’t as humid then as it is now. Right. And I think a lot of that is because we just flat out have a lot more vegetation around, trees, things like that. Right, that comes with people moving in. That’s right, that add to that. I mean, if you look at, well, I’ve said this before. When I was a kid, we roughly had, I don’t know, two and a half million people or so roughly living in all of Colorado. We will this year exceed six million people.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, the environmentalists must be freaking out as more people move to the front range. And they plant all these trees, and we have now the horrors of oxygen.
SPEAKER 07 :
It’s amazing. Yeah, I mean, it’s just terrible. And with that comes extra humidity, and there’s more moisture, and that can develop into even more storms and things along those lines. And, yeah, climate changes, Andy. In that case, it is man-made because we had so many people move in that we actually changed our plants, our trees, our grasses, all of that.
SPEAKER 03 :
I wonder if it ever goes the other way, like if there’s like a Detroit where everybody moves out.
SPEAKER 07 :
