Well, I appreciate you doing that. Before we get going, I did want to make a quick announcement. Burke Payne was going to try to join me today, but, you know, things happen, as you know, Bill, and get busy and so on. Yeah, absolutely, because, you know, those guys kind of focus in. both sides, so they’re able to talk insurance and talk layperson. That’s right. That’s a good idea. That’s exactly right.

All right, so there was an article that you sent me. Let’s get into this, that you sent me that, again, I think it’s appropriate, especially where we’re at right now, and I want to remind everybody, and Bill and I talked about this last Friday, that there was no martial law on Sunday. Bill and I were even talking back and forth. for Sunday morning early because it didn’t happen. We knew it wasn’t going to happen. We told you all it wasn’t going to happen. But we still live in some pretty tumultuous times, Bill. And, yes, those times come and go, and I get that. And I think some people tend to think that. It’s worse now, Bill, than it’s ever been. I don’t know that that’s the case. There’s a lot more population now, and there’s a lot more news media, and there’s a lot more things to get that media out through social media and so on. Is it any worse today than it’s ever been? Bill, you know what? I don’t know that I would go as far as to say that because we’ve had rough times as a country in the past.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, not only that, but world history, there’s been a lot more difficult times. Think of like you know, the medieval times and even going back to, you know, some of the real barbaric, you know, as far as like Rome and Babylon and all those, you know, people think, oh my gosh, it’s so bad. And it’s like, actually in comparison, we’re still pretty far ahead of them. I mean, if you look at somebody in those days, you’re dead, you know, I mean, they didn’t mess around. So, I mean, I think it isn’t as worse. Now it may be, in recent history, a little bit worse. But I also think that with the, to your point, with all the news media and the social media and the inflation of the information being cited, you know, I’m going to tell you the story I want you to hear, let alone not necessarily the story that’s really going on. So that makes it a dangerous place because 50, 100 years ago, something could be going on in Baltimore, let’s just say, and we would have no clue.
SPEAKER 05 :
Right, right. And again, I appreciate what you said a moment ago, too, because I think at times we forget that, hey, we as a not only country but world have had a lot worse time than we have now. And Bill, as many people that were out protesting last weekend talking about no kings and so on, the reality is, and I’m not trying to be rude here by any means, but these are individuals that have no clue what it’s like to live under a king,
SPEAKER 12 :
king yeah absolutely uh they have they have no idea and you know it’s it’s interesting because you know why do all those let’s just go down this road of immigration why do all those people want to come to america to escape what they have there right right right um you know it’s not you got to have a reason to leave correct you know and um so you know and then you want to try to reestablish what you left back here, well, that doesn’t work either, you know, because now you’re just repeating the process. We joke a lot that all the Californians moving here, you know, they’re going to turn this into California, and they have. That’s part of the plan. You know, in ancient times, John, when Babylon would take over a country, they would take people and they would scatter them. So that, you know, you’d go to a city and there’d be a whole bunch of mixed cultures because of the conquered Babylon would redistribute the people. And they did that so that the people could not come together. Think about this. They could not, would not come together to revolt against them. Got it? Yep.

Makes sense. I mean, look at patterns. Yep. No, it makes sense. Well, you bring up a great topic and something that I was just be watching something last night. And there was a immigrant that had just had just become a citizen, literally had just been through the process and was basically celebrating and did a social media post. It was on Facebook. I saw it anyways. Social media post, Bill. And I think she was from. You know, one of the, you know, Russian type, you know, not Russia itself, but one of those, you know, Eastern Bloc country. I can’t remember exactly what country it was. You could tell from the accent, though, that’s where she was from. And her point was, yeah, exactly. And her point was, hey, you know what? I’m here. I came here for a reason. I want a life that’s here. That doesn’t mean that I’m going to forget my roots or forget my country or that I hate my country. I love it, but I’m not flying that flag of where I came from. I’m flying now the American flag because this is now the country that I’m a part of. And I thought, wow, Bill, can we get a lot of other folks that are immigrating here to feel the same way?
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, I don’t know if you caught that interview with – Schwarzenegger on The View. I did. And they asked him this question. He’s like, hey, you’re a guest in my house. You know, I mean. Right. Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER 05 :
Great point. OK, so this article, for those of you that are listening and as I started kind of heading down this direction, there is an article that was out in the Rocky Mountain Voice and it’s titled Parker. We need a national armed armed citizen militia now. And I thought, Bill, that’s a great topic. We can get into it. It’s an interesting article. And, you know, by the way, I don’t know if there’s anything in this article I can disagree with. But what I will say is it’s a pipe dream.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah. I was just talking to this conversation, you know, you know, in the world that we live in, in the world I live in, let’s just say, you know, the, the service work I do, I work with all kinds of people and obviously I’m going to their homes and I see, you know, their, their political posters in their garage and, and who they vote for and things like that. And I’ve been having this conversations lately with people. It’s like, you know, like I was at a job yesterday and the guy was going off about how, you know, the whole invasion and, um, that, that Trump is, you know, doing this war, just like George W. Bush. And he, you know, being led in there and he’s such a moron. And I says, you know, I said, let’s just be honest. You and I really don’t know what’s going on. Really? We really don’t know. You know, so we make these judgments based on what we hear from whatever source. Right. But they, oh, he’s like, oh, I know. You know, the Israelis have proven there are no nuclear, there are no, three years out, there are three years out from nuclear, you know, possibilities.
SPEAKER 05 :
It hasn’t been proven, by the way, we know that.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, I’m like, how do you know? Well, this person said, well, how do they know? So, you know, I kind of have these conversations with people, and they’re actually coming away going, you know, you’re probably right. And I’m like, yeah, so just Hey, let’s just all get along as neighbors. Let’s just do the best we can to support our family and our friends.
SPEAKER 05 :
And really quick, along those lines, for all of you listening, this is good information I think that you all can have. This is very factual. You can look this data up. I follow a gal on social media, Bill, that’s – by the way, I don’t think she’s right or – I mean – How can you be in the middle? Well, she pretty much is. She’s a nuclear scientist, and she has been studying that. She’s graduated, has a Ph.D. or studying, I think, now for a Ph.D. in all of that, and she’s a big proponent of nuclear energy and all sorts of things. Anyways, follow her because she’s neither right or left. I feel like she gets pretty good information now. She’s not tainted one side or the other, but her exact comments on what’s going on in Iran, and by the way, does a really good job of explaining how that whole process works, why they have to do the spinning, how you actually get that chain reaction to get started. I mean, she does a really great job of explaining, which, by the way, is miraculous in and of itself. To me, it’s just a whole other reason as to why we’re created, and it wasn’t just by chance that we showed up here, Bill. So that’s a whole other conversation. But anyways, she doesn’t even realize that she’s actually proving The existence of a creator, by the way, and all the things she talks about, Bill, but regardless, she goes into the whole process of where Iran was even years ago with having 60 percent, you know, the spinning of 60 percent that that particular. I don’t want to say it. The purity, I guess, would be the way that I want to say that. And they need really, you know, 90 percent is where they really want to be at to actually have, quote, unquote, a bomb. But even her comment was they can even do damage at 60 percent. So the reality is to continue to let them spin and get things up to the 90 percent. That’s really what this is all about. So for this particular person to say that there’s no proof that they’re there, actually, a a phd scientist that’s in that world and granted it’s a it’s a you know it’s a video it’s on the internet and so on doesn’t mean that it’s always right bill but i think the un has already proved that they’re way beyond the 60 right now in this last round
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, absolutely. And then at what point can you not stop the train?
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, when they get up to that level of where they’re in the 80% to 90% range, Bill, yeah, you’re not stopping the train at that point. It is what it is. They’ve got the ability to have it at that point.
SPEAKER 12 :
And to your point, it’s not stopping at 60% because they could be somewhat effective with their already obtained potential.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s correct. That’s correct. So where I’m going with this, Bill, is if there’s anybody out there that runs into somebody else that says that Israel doesn’t really know where they’re at with things. That’s not true because there’s been reports back even from independent, and by the way, I say independent loosely when it comes to the U.N. I mean, even what the U.N. has found, and no offense, Bill, they’re about as spineless as it gets, they have found it to be far above the 60%. So whoever this guy’s talking to or talking about, they have no idea what they’re talking about.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, it just goes back to they’re just regurgitating whatever they hear, and if it fits them, their narrative, they buy right in without really checking facts. Yeah, good point. It’s one of the problems I have with pastors, too. I’m hard on pastors. I am one, but I’m hard on them. It’s just like, you guys get in your little bubble, and your denominational bubble, or whatever your clique is, or whatever your group is, and you read the same commentaries, you regurgitate the same stuff over and over again. I could walk into the same affiliation of a church that I’m a part of, and if they bring up a scripture, I could probably tell you exactly how they’re going to teach it. Because they’re just taught to regurgitate, you know? Correct.

And then when you stop doing stuff and start, you know, kind of treating it as new, like I taught Revelation, this is my fifth time and I’m about to complete it with just a second part of chapter 20, so we’re almost there towards the end. And somebody asked me, would you just bring out your notes? And I said, I don’t even know where my notes are from the last time I taught this. I go back and I restudy as if I’ve never, now obviously you retain that information, you retain some of it, you know, you’re not going to come completely blank slate but you know what i re re-researched stuff and this trip through there’s been a lot of things that i’ve changed my thinking on because i’ve opened myself up to to be teachable you know and not just be so cookie cutter if you will right and that’s what these guys do they they listen to whatever news and by the way uh that goes for fox news too right i mean I don’t care. I listen to… I check out Newsmax. I check out CNN. I check out… And it’s like they’re polar opposites, you know? What is… Fox is like, oh, Trump’s so great. CNN is like, oh, Trump’s so bad. And it’s just like, can I get the news?

Well, gentlemen, so good to be with you. And boy, what a hot topic that’s sort of come up on us. And now we have. a legitimate defining moment in America. I want to put a pause real quick on this, the assumptions being made around the Iran invasion or imminent. And then I also want to make sure that people, MAGA is not just going to follow this blindly, endlessly. And so Trump has, Trump, most media, certainly on the right, much radio, This sort of dangerous messaging of we cannot, you know, hysterically, we cannot allow Iran to obtain nuclear. But the implication, guys, is at any cost. That’s the way it feels now on the robotic messaging of we cannot in big, bold letters. But is that at any cost or is there a line in which now MAGA says, well, hold on a second. I’m out. What are your thoughts there, gentlemen?
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, I think I’ll step in really quick, Bill. I’ll let you as well. But I think, Marty, number one, I am not one to say at all costs. And I do appreciate the way Trump is handling things, especially with his announcement today. I really felt like if he was going to do something, it would be by today. I’m glad I’m wrong. I’m glad he didn’t. I appreciate the fact that he’s sort of, quote-unquote, pausing things, trying to figure out is there any other – and I believe this is what he’s doing right now, trying to figure out if there’s any other alternatives. Does Israel have the ability to get in and shut down the Fordow facility? That’s really what this is all about at this point. It’s a matter of how do we shut down the Fordow facility? And I’m not one to say at all costs, but I am one to say, Marty – and this is me because I know it’s a terrorist nation – yeah, I am not – In my opinion, we nor any other country should allow Iran to have nuclear capability and be able to take that out on any other country they feel fit. Because, frankly, that would be like, in today’s world, Marty giving a madman a gun. I don’t agree that we should do that. Now, there’s all sorts of ways, and this goes into the topic of… There’s all sorts of ways to determine who should own a gun and who shouldn’t own a gun. And I’m all for having looser gun laws, not more tighter gun laws. But I’m also one to say, Marty, that I don’t want to give a schizophrenic a gun, nor do I want to give Iran nukes. Bill, I’ll let you comment as well.

Fairly. Yeah, it’s the same idea. I mean, I don’t think it’s at all cost for sure. And, you know, I think what they’re doing is they’re, I mean, it’s a big decision. This is a big decision. And I’m glad he’s kind of going, you know what, let’s count the cost. You know what I mean? The Bible says, who builds a tower without counting the cost, if you will. And, I mean, this is going to be a big deal. But I think the majority of the world, The majority of the world does not want this to happen. So it’s not an Israel-America thing. It’s also a worldwide thing. And to your point, you know, they have made their intentions known. And so, you know, if something comes up to me and says, hey, I’m going to go out and kill the first person I see, can I come take a gun class from you? I’m going to be like, yeah, no. Well, it’s my right. Okay, yeah, no. There’s wisdom in some of this stuff as well, you know. Yeah, good point.
SPEAKER 05 :
Good point. Marty, is that kind of aligned with your thoughts, or what are you thinking?
SPEAKER 03 :
No, no, and I’d really say this. It’s almost embarrassing to hear the idea that little Iran, if they were to obtain a nuclear weapon, It’s over for all of us. That’s jumping way too far ahead. No, it isn’t.
SPEAKER 05 :
Gentlemen, have you thought? No, it isn’t. Marty, who’s the biggest funder of Hamas? Israel and… No, no, Marty. Marty, who’s the biggest funder?
SPEAKER 03 :
No, no, no, Marty.
SPEAKER 05 :
You and I are going to have to really disagree on this one. Who’s the biggest funder of Hamas?
SPEAKER 03 :
For this conversation, let’s say Iran.
SPEAKER 05 :
Okay. And by the way, it is Iran. That’s the right answer. So given the fact that we know what Hamas does and how they treat those that are around them, and also, Marty, the fact that there’s not another Arab country willing to take them in as far as refugees are concerned, why would we then give Iran a nuke?
SPEAKER 03 :
great. And I just think that sounds great. Then there’s always the collateral damage, the fallout. You just hit it. Where do the 90 million people then go from there? And I would ask you guys to pick a regime change. And by the way, I’m not asking for a regime, Marty.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s where you You and I are probably opposite on this. I nor Bill have said I want a regime change. I am one of those that’s against any of those at all, especially with us being involved in the change itself. No, no, no. I’m not saying there needs to be regime change. But what I’m saying is we should dismantle what they’ve got going on as far as nuclear production is concerned. And there’s studies out there, by the way, Marty, plenty of people that are way smarter than I that talk about how to do that. And the reality is we and Israel combined could set them back 50 years pretty easily.
SPEAKER 03 :
Absolutely. Like we’ve done to the entire Middle East. Just look at it. Ask the million dead Iraqis. So there’s no doubt we can cause epic damage.
SPEAKER 05 :
But Marty, let me say this as well. Whose fault is it that that country went from very prosperous and one of our allies in the 70s to, no offense, one of the nastiest, dirtiest countries on the planet because of Islamic rule?
SPEAKER 03 :
Arab nations do that, and dictatorships like they’ve got in that have cemented power.
SPEAKER 05 :
What I’m getting at, Marty, is it’s not our fault, nor is it Israel’s fault, that Iran is in the condition they’re in today.
SPEAKER 03 :
Fair enough. Fair enough. But I would also just say, OK, having a nuclear weapon does prevent regime change. And we know about the lie about WMDs in Iraq. No, we don’t.
SPEAKER 05 :
Those things could have been snuck out from day one or even prior to that. That’s another one we don’t know the answer to. That’s what we need more info on. So I disagree with you on that one as well.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, last thought, guys. Tell me if you think this was a setup, because I want to just play how quickly we got here. October 7th, the attack on Israel, we lose 800 Israelis. And it’s followed up with the annihilation of Gaza. And the theme is Israel has the right to defend itself, coupled with we’re on a mission to defeat terror. That was October 7th. That was 2023. Flash forward, we’re now on the doorsteps of Iran for a major throwdown. Do you feel like that was always part of the plan, or is this just the timing, just happened to go coincidentally?
SPEAKER 05 :
It was two years ago, Marty. And by the way, the Israelis were a whole lot nicer to Hamas and Gaza than I would have been, because the very next day I publicly on air said, well, the next day I was on air after that happened, I publicly said if I was them, I would have dropped leaflets. 72 hours later, I would have carpet bombed the entire place. Then I would have got my dozers out and dozed the place flat. That’s what I would have done.
SPEAKER 03 :
50,000 children died.
SPEAKER 05 :
Marty, here’s the deal, Marty. There’s always going to be collateral damage, and the reality is those people voted in Hamas. So I’m not playing the woe is me on the refugee card because those people have agreed to stay there. That’s on them, not me.
SPEAKER 03 :
But hold on, though. We as Americans are forced, demanded, commanded to play the woe is me when it comes to Israel. But I look at a dead Israeli child and a dead Hindu or Muslim child At three years old, I look at them the same. Am I a bad guy?
SPEAKER 05 :
By the way, Marty, that’s why I gave them 72 hours to get out. I didn’t do it. I’m not carpet bombing right off the bat. Like I said, Israel’s been way nicer on all of this than I would have been. Way nicer.
SPEAKER 03 :
I don’t know where else you would have gone from annihilation to what?
SPEAKER 05 :
And by the way, Marty, this is my point when it comes to Arab nations. Why is it, Marty, answer me this. Why is it no other nations will take in their refugees, including their brother and sisters that are of the same faith, by the way? Why is that?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I think most countries are smart enough to say we don’t want any of you foreigners in our land.
SPEAKER 05 :
No, Marty, that’s not true either. Why is it? Why is it Jordan, for example, who started taking in some of the PLO refugees back in the day, but they got to be so many they finally decided, yeah, this isn’t working out so well. We’re not doing this anymore. Why is that, Marty?
SPEAKER 03 :

Well, exactly. They have nothing left to lose because now they’re primed for the taking. So why wouldn’t they respond and say every Jew inside is dead? You don’t think there’s going to be retaliation, further action from destroying something like that? I don’t think so.

Honestly, Marty, no, I don’t think so. I don’t think they’ve got that ability at that point. They’re already running out of resources as we speak. China’s already rolling in 747s to try to resupply them as we speak.

That’s okay. China is a good buddy to have, just like the U.S. is a good buddy to have. Do you want to take that confrontation? How does my life, your life, the American black kid in a ghetto somewhere, how does his life improve while we’re focused on that? That’s why I guess I’m irritated.

But, Marty, you can’t separate it out. You’re just like a lot of other libertarians that want to separate things out that, by the way, you cannot separate out. That doesn’t work that way, Marty. You can do both, which we are, by the way. You can do both.

This government cannot chew gum and walk. That is being proven. Look at the negligence in our own country. And we think about how silly that sounds, John. Negligence where, Marty? The what?

negligence of our leadership in america on the cultural rot that they have allowed to come in and there’s no plan to fix it go to your american ghettos there you cannot distinguish them from a third world country that is fact not yeah i won’t argue that so while we’re over there And so when we’re over there being the moral judge, the moral cop for how things should be run in Ukraine or the Middle East, it is almost embarrassing when you look at our inner cities and then followed up by we’re calling the National Guard in to deal with civil unrest. And we have the gall to say this is how this should go. shame on us. And so Trump has a major move coming here because losing 25, 35, 40% of MAGA, it almost guarantees impeachment in 2026. No, it doesn’t. No, I disagree with you, Marty. You’re wrong.

I think some of the some of the base, the Tucker Carlson’s and Steve Bannon’s of the world are frankly their loons. They’re way out in left field. They are wrong in their approach to this. Completely wrong. That’s on them, not Trump.

Well, but Trump, though, he promised no wars. Right. So this would be something. And by the way, he hasn’t gotten us into one at this point.

A lot of people are jumping to conclusions when it comes to Donald Trump, thinking that he’s going to go over there and go ahead and drop our bunker buster. Hasn’t happened. He talked about yesterday about having at least a two or today, I should say, a two week pause. He may not do it at all. And my belief is he may not have to.

Check this out. The one at the two week pause is to let agitation, a new event take place and say, I gave you a chance.

I don’t think that’s not how Trump’s mind works, Marty. You know that as well as anybody. That’s not how he works.

He wants time, John. He wants time because guess what? He’s being lobbied by both sides of it right now. I don’t think you’re giving the appreciation due. This is a major moment coming up because it’s going to show a retreat to isolation or we’re right back. Is this George Bush or is this President Trump? It’s President Trump.

The one thing about President Trump that I’m very confident in is he’s not swayed by either side, Marty. He’s going to do what he knows is best at the end of the day. You know that as well as anybody.

A lot of self-contradicting statements. Okay. What is little Iran going to do? You know, it doesn’t matter the size of the dog. It’s the bite in the dog. You allow them to create a nuclear weapon. I don’t care how little they are. You know, we’re talking about going in there, taking out a facility and They’re talking about taking out a country. And what does America have to do about all this? Just remember 9-11, buddy.

Right. Right. Anyways, I mean, bottom line, I do think and I do think, Bill, that Marty is right in this. This is the defining moment. I do think Donald Trump will make the right decisions when it’s all said and done. I don’t think Donald Trump is looking at either side. I don’t think he’s he’s going to allow anybody to lobby him one way or the other. I do think that he’s somebody that doesn’t want to go to war. and will avoid that literally bill i think he’ll avoid it at almost all costs again he’s doing things in a much different way than i probably would be doing them because i i’m not him fortunately by the way bill i’m not him and as i’ve always said i said this even the other day i don’t have all of the information in front of me i’m not in the situation room marty is not in the situation room All of the other libertarians that are out there, like Marty, are not in the Situation Room. Steve Bannon, Tucker Carlson, they are not in the Situation Room. They don’t have all the facts in front of them, Bill, and yet they all seem to be experts.

Yeah. Bottom line, and this is for a lot of you listening, are there things going on in the world around us that we need to be paying attention to? Absolutely. The one thing that I will agree with Marty on is, yes, we have a lot of problems when it comes to our inner cities. And by the way, you can blame that on the left when it comes to keeping those people in those conditions. But I agree. There’s a lot of things we need to be cleaning up inside of our own house. No doubt about it. And I don’t want to be the world’s police by any stretch of the imagination bill and i know you feel the same way but at the end of the day we do have certain obligations and we have things at our disposal that frankly no one else has and that does put us at the top of the pile yeah i mean there’s there’s plenty examples where we look at societies and and that’s okay what was the uh the group in the in new york in the 80s what were they the guardian angels or i think that sounds right yeah

You know, and the crime got so bad that people rose up and said, hey, we’re going to, you know, we’re going to be the guardian angels. We’re going to be the police, if you will. You know, and there’s, if you’ve got the ability to help maintain, you know, peace in the world, then you should have, because at the end of the day, John, we all live in this world together. Right. And we could say, yeah, it doesn’t matter what they’re doing halfway across the world. And to some degree, it doesn’t. But to some degree, it does. Right. There’s always ripple effect.

Right. Absolutely.

Something goes down there. What’s it going to do with our oil? What’s it going to do with this? What’s it going to do with that? There’s ripple effect for sure. You know, but but like I said, I go back 9-11. They attacked us. They brought that fight back here.

Well, Bill, really quick, this is part of the problem we have with what you’re talking about is some of the folks on Marty’s side, not Marty necessarily, but some of the folks on Marty’s side, Bill, will tell you that 9-11 didn’t happen in the way you and I believe it did. That was an inside job from government, and those planes really didn’t do the damage they did. That’s what some of those out there would say on the side of Marty, by the way.
SPEAKER 12 :
You know, if I want to find a snake under a rock, I just got to keep turning over rocks, and I’ll eventually find one. I mean, yeah, conspiracy theories all over the place. I guess at the end of the day, we go back to the same comment we made when we started the show. We don’t really know what’s going on. And so you got to do what you can do to live peaceably in 1 Thessalonians 4, 11, and 12, to live that quiet life, you know, and to walk worthy in front of those who are on the outside. You know, and work on the things you can control. And that’s what this show is all about. What can I control to be ready for whatever? I can’t control what Trump’s going to do. I can’t control what Iran or Israel or China or Putin. I can’t control what they’re going to do. But I can control what I’m going to do when they do whatever they’re going to do. So I can either get hyper-focused on what the heck Trump’s doing in Iran or whatever, or I can get hyper-focused on, dang it, I still got to live no matter what. I got to feed my family. I got to protect myself. So I’m going to buckle down and I’m going to make sure I’m doing the things that we talk about on this show. Because I can control that.
SPEAKER 04 :

I can’t control that. I don’t know why we got to get all worked up over this stuff. What are you going to do about it anyway?
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, thank you. And I appreciate you saying that. I mean, whether whether Donald Trump does something or doesn’t do something, Bill, at the end of the day, we have to live our lives accordingly. We still, by the way, have to go to work, feed our families, do the things necessary to make sure that we’re protected. If, in fact, something happens and. quote-unquote World War III breaks out. Well, again, that’s why this show has been going on as long as it has and trying to get people prepped to make sure that they’ve got all the things ready at home and whatever else they need to be doing along those lines. Do I think it’s going to come to the point of having World War III in the next month or two? No, Bill. I mean, I’m one of those people where, and I know you are as well, I’m planning trips and vacations and things even over Christmas time, to be honest with you, Bill, because I don’t think anything dramatic is going to happen by then. Now, that’s my hope. It could change, and if it does, then I will deal with it accordingly. But am I losing any sleep over any of this? No, Bill, I’m not.
SPEAKER 12 :
No, exactly right. You’re more likely to have an earthquake. happen here in Colorado, or a tornado comes through, or hail comes through right now, then something like that happens.
SPEAKER 05 :
Correct. Well, for those of you that maybe don’t know, there was just a big tornado on Pikes Peak at 9,000 feet that actually wiped out a bunch of trees and did a bunch of other damage. So to your point, Bill, we are much more likely, especially here along the front range of Colorado, Wyoming, and where our listening audience is, we are more likely to have some sort of a natural problem than we are World War III.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, or getting that problem with the immigrants or the home invasions. And you don’t have to be an immigrant to do that anyway, by the way. There’s bad guys, legal and illegal. That’s right. And so it’s just the world we live in. And so I’m going to not stick my head in the sand, John, but I’m also not going to get so consumed by… by what i don’t know you know don’t be tossed to and fro by all these fables by every little wind of doctrine right you know and again i’m going to always come back to the bible because that’s that’s my that’s the foundation uh and so you know first and second thessalonians was written to the church at thessalonica because they thought they missed the rapture or then they’re sitting there waiting they just said we’ll quit our jobs we’re going to quit everything we’re just And Paul says, no, get your butt to work. Yeah, it’s going to happen, but get your… I’m paraphrasing, by the way. People are like, what translation does he have? But, no, be busy about living your life and be ready for whatever happens. You know what? You’re not guaranteed tomorrow, is what the Bible says, whether it’s World War III, Doomsday Apocalypse, tornado, you’re not guaranteed tomorrow. So live today. Live for today. Let’s live for today.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s exactly right. And again, and And I love all you guys that text, and I appreciate the different viewpoints and so on, and you guys on the conspiracy theories and so on. It’s all great. You know what? And by the way, Bill, anybody can believe anything they want to believe, but will I be convinced that the CIA and Israel had anything to do with 9-11? No, Bill. I am not convinced of that. You’re not going to change my mind. Don’t send me a text message saying so, because that is your belief, and that’s fine. But, Bill, that is not my belief.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, and honestly, John, I don’t have any idea, and I don’t consume my time thinking about it.
SPEAKER 05 :
No, I don’t either. And, you know, at the end of the day, too, Bill, and I like what you said, I’m not going to lose any sleep over any of this. By the way, as an American and as an American talk show host, would I prefer Donald Trump not get us into anything happening in Iran other than what we’ve already done in the support of Israel, which we’ve already agreed to do because they’re one of our allies? Outside of that, Bill, no, I would rather not do anything. I just don’t know how that outcomes. I don’t know how it’s going to play out. I’m not at that level. I don’t have the same information coming into me, and I don’t have that ability to make that judgment call.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah.

Yeah, absolutely. And you also talked, somebody talked about there’s somebody walking by me in chain mail. That’s pretty awesome. In what? A full-on suit. Chain mail.
SPEAKER 05 :
Oh. Interesting. Dude, I’ve got to take a picture. I’ve got to take a picture of this suit. Okay. Okay, so really quick. Getting back to, you know, being prepared and having things ready to go and so on. And, folks, I can’t tell you how many different programs, hours, in this particular show we have done over the course of the last couple of years, Bill, to get people ready to go. Right. All of you listening, please. Some of these things are just recaps of things that we ought to have at our disposal at any given time. Bill, those would be things like, do you have any kind of medical supplies? Do you have any extra medication? If you’re somebody that requires medication to live on a daily basis, do you have extra doses of that? Do you have enough toilet paper? Do you have drinking water? I mean, all of these basic essentials that we take for granted, by the way, Bill, living in a first world country, if we didn’t have that… The way I would lay it out, too, Bill, by the way, there’s a lot of people like you and I that have gone on third world country mission trips and things along those lines. And you tend to pack things differently when you’re going on a third world country trip than if you’re, say, going to any other place in the U.S., Mexico, Hawaii, whatever. In other words, you’re packing differently. What I mean by that, Bill, is when you go to a third world country, I bring toilet paper with me because, by the way, they may not have that in every restroom I go to. Am I correct?
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, I keep it in my truck because sometimes we go up to the mountains, we go to those porta-potties that are provided by the state parks, and there’s nothing in there. It’s like, I don’t feel like losing a sock today. There you go.
SPEAKER 05 :
So my point is, and I think for folks listening, when you start thinking about, okay, how would I prepare for XYZ? Okay, part of what you would do is look at, okay, if I ended up someplace… like a third world country where electricity isn’t always flowing, where running water may not always be flowing, where they may not have good sanitation. On and on we go, Bill. I think what I would ask somebody, you know, really point blank would be, if we dropped you in the center of that, what would you need to survive? And whatever that answer is, okay, you need that in your home right now.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, I mean, that’s… You know, I told my wife, Heidi, there, I said, let’s try to not go to the store for a month and just see what we’ve got in the house and all that. She wasn’t up for it. She’s like, yeah, no, we’re not doing it.
SPEAKER 05 :
Didn’t go over very well.
SPEAKER 12 :
I thought, wouldn’t that be cool? And then I was thinking about it, well, dang, and if I spend a month consuming everything, now I’ve got to restock everything. But, yeah, that would be a great test. That’s a good exercise. We do service changes often. Right. and things are out like back to house. We was at yesterday that they had no power and half their house for like five days. And the guy was like, you know, you really don’t understand what you got until it’s gone kind of a thing. And I think we get complacent. And so, you know, there’s a fun, fun test that you can do. You could do that exercise, John mentally dropped me somewhere, or you can just say, Hey, we’re going to, you know, kill the power for, for 24 hours and see what happens. Now, you know, people are going to be like, Oh, my food, my refrigerator. Well, then, If you’re having that panic over 24 hours, you’re not ready.
SPEAKER 05 :
You’re not ready for anything else. You’re not going to be able to go 48 or down the line we go, Bill, 48, 72. I mean, we can keep going down the line as to how long things could be out. Yeah, if you can’t handle 24, how are you going to – if you can’t handle 12, maybe even just start with that. Hey, go 12 hours without that XYZ thing that you’ve got, running water, power, whatever. How well do you deal with that? Now go 24, then go 36, then go 48, you know, Point being, practice some of this stuff and see how well you do.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, and you’ll also discover holes in the system. Because a lot of stuff that we do, John, is in theory. We read books. We talk about stuff. True. We watch YouTube videos or whatever, and we’re like, oh, that’s really good. That’s really good. I mean, there’s a lot of stoves and water filtration devices that, honestly, still in the box. I bought a tower garden. You know what those are? Yeah. Oh, yeah. I don’t know who makes it. It’s that whatever, that Juice Plus, I think it is. I bought that four years ago. I just took it out of the box this weekend, last weekend. I said, I better put this together. But you see my point?
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER 12 :
Oh, John, I’m good. I got a tower garden. Well, it’s in the box, not assembled, and I don’t even know if it’s going to work. Right.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah. And this kind of goes back even, Bill, to not trying to be too simplistic here, but how many, especially nowadays because of the advent of propane stoves and things like that, how many people today know how to light a Coleman, an actual white gas Coleman lantern or Coleman stove nowadays, Bill?
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, or go out and start a fire. How many people have strikers, flint and rods on their survival kit or in their survival knife, which those are mostly junk anyway. And it’s like, okay, have you used it? No. No. Oh, but I’m glad you got it. Maybe you have it for somebody that knows how to use it. That’s always my tagline.
SPEAKER 05 :
And really quick, too, for a lot of you that are listening, these are things that, you know, I guess even, Bill, some of us that are more technical kind of take for granted. I mean, I have all sorts of things around, you know, my own home shop that would enable me to, you know, start fires and do things along those lines if you weren’t, you know, if you didn’t have anything left. I mean, I’ve got to, you know. oxygen-acetylene torch that, Bill, by the way, I could start a lot of fires for a very long time as long as I keep those bottles filled. I’m not joking. You’d have several years’ worth of starting fires at your own place, but you’re not going to drag those things around anywhere because they’re too heavy.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, or the little bottles that, you know, you’d use with just a single plumber’s torch or whatever. I mean, we use those for shrink wrap on our electrical stuff. Correct. You know, I’ve got one of those on my truck. I mean, actually, for years, I was so lazy with starting the little campfire out in the backyard, you know, that I just pulled that torch out.
SPEAKER 05 :
Oh, I’ve done that many times. Yeah.
SPEAKER 12 :
They’re so handy. But to your point, you know, you start thinking about that and being like, oh, yeah, I’ve got that. I don’t have to have this.
SPEAKER 05 :
rod and flint and the solar you know um realistically bill anybody could buy a couple and i would advise us we’ve never talked about this on the show before but this is a great a great tip those things have gotten cheap enough bill you could buy two or three of those torches make sure you keep about three or four cans of the butane refill kicking around. And honestly, Bill, you would almost have, I don’t want to say a lifetime supply, but my word, you could go a really long time with two or three refill cans and a couple of those mini torches without, you’d literally be, you’d be set for a while.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, and this just occurred to me too as we were just brainstorming this. You know, if I had that stainless steel cup, I wonder if I could use that to boil water.
SPEAKER 04 :
Of course.
SPEAKER 12 :
It would be kind of tedious and stuff, but, I mean, hey. You know, the other day, John, I made coffee in my car with my Jetboil and my little coffee grinder, and, yeah, I could have ran into 7-Eleven and bought a cup, but, you know, what am I doing? I’m getting a rep in. I’m practicing.

Right, right. Absolutely, absolutely. People think I’m silly, but I’m like… No, I think those are some of the things where, you know, some things are very… simplistic and easy to practice and yet bill we don’t we tend to to your point earlier we tend to focus on and even in our minds you know we’re going through all of these wild scenarios of things that could happen and what the one thing i’m learning i know you do the same thing i listen to a lot of the audio books for the you know quote unquote end of the world type And I tell you, every one of these authors keeps throwing things out that I’ll be straight up honest, I’ve really never thought through. And I’m reading a wild one right now that’s way out there. I’ll give a 30-second download of it. It’s basically several different stories going on. It starts by AI essentially saying, taking over all of the military drones that we have in the U.S. The military drones are going through cities and just annihilating things to the point where the U.S. sends up their EMP nukes to be able to knock out all of the drones. Well, of course, when the EMP goes up and it knocks out all of the drones, drones are gone, Bill, but now there’s no power and things have really gone back 100 plus years. It’s an interesting concept and, frankly, not that far-fetched.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure Israel and the CIA had something to do with that.

Hey, good afternoon. Great show. And I love hearing this topic that you guys are talking about. I’m not going to go into all of the things that have already been said. But one thing about Ready Radio that I’ve learned is to practice. You guys talk about do this, do that, read books, read that. But if you don’t practice, it’s going to be difficult when stuff goes crazy and you can’t think. You’re going to have a brain freeze. That’s right. Kind of like ice cream. So I think it was last year, maybe it was two years ago, after listening to one of these shows, I challenged myself to build a Dakota fire pit. Wow. And I don’t know if you guys had talked about it. Nice. But I went in my backyard. I got a little shovel, like I’m talking a tiny shovel and maybe even my hammer, I think. And I dug a Dakota fire pit, and I made dinner on that thing. Nice. And my kids were like, what are you doing? That’s awesome. Okay, this guy’s crazy. But it works.

Yeah.

And it’s underground, so it’s a lot safer. You’re not worried about catching the ground on fire because it’s underground. And when you’re done, you just put the dirt back on and smother it.

And really quick, for those of you that don’t know what that is, A, go Google Dakota fire pit. You’ll see exactly what it is. It’s easier to look it up than for me to explain it. But it’s a great practice, by the way, Mark. And by the way, that’s something that I think almost anybody anywhere, unless you’re in an apartment, could practice that.
