How will Zoran Mamdani’s surprising win in the NYC Democrat primary impact the political landscape? Mike Gallagher dives deep into this political earthquake, discussing the national repercussions and the future for moderate Democrats. From the perspectives of key political figures to the debates over immigration and open borders, explore if this shift represents a bold new chapter for the Republican Party on a national scale.
SPEAKER 08 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior, Mike Gallagher, broadcasting across hundreds of radio stations nationwide and seen on your trusted conservative TV network, Salem News Channel. Here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 10 :
It’s a strange feeling to mourn the city of New York after their decision to make the radical pro-intifada, anti-Semite, the Democrat nominee for mayor. We’ll see what happens. But also know that this is a huge, huge win for the Republican Party nationally. This radical Mamdani won the New York City Democrat primary. They’re calling it a political bombshell. And we’ll spend time on it today, but I will tell you that a lot of the smart analysts seem to acknowledge that the Democrats have a fascinating dilemma on their hands. Moderate Democrats, it just doesn’t work for them. So they’re doubling down on radicalism, going as hard left as they can, because that works in cities like New York. And… That bodes well for normal Americans in races in the rest of the country, I think. Somebody told me, Mike, check out what happened in San Antonio a couple weeks ago. And honestly, I don’t know. I’m pretty well plugged in. I mean, we could look it up, but I’d rather have you tell me. What happened in San Antonio? Who did they elect a couple of weeks ago? 1-800-655-MIKE. Look, a lot of breaking news today. A leaked report that seemed to suggest that the military strikes on the Iranian nuclear sites weren’t really all that effective. That has now been pretty quickly debunked, I think. We’ll give you an update on that because even the Iranian officials are saying there was massive devastation and destruction. But who knows if they’re telling the truth. We know the ceasefire seems to be holding, thank goodness. Evidently, Trump’s anger yesterday saved the day. We’ll see what happens there. Can someone quickly tell me, though, and again, Tracy can look it up, but somebody texted me as I came into the Relief Factor studios a couple of minutes ago. What happened in New York just happened to San Antonio a couple of weeks ago. What is that? Who won in San Antonio? Because I honestly don’t know, but I’d like to find out. 1-800-655-MIKE. If you know what happened in a San Antonio election, bring us up to date. Look, if San Antonio is going hard left, hard radical, stone cold anti-Semite, Israel-hating, America-hating leftists? Perhaps? Just perhaps? That’s the formula that Democrats think they need to embrace going forward. Look, there’s a lot of… There’s a lot of… tears being shed for what is about to happen to New York City if this guy winds up becoming the mayor. And he very well could. He very well could, which is beyond dreadful. It’s actually sickening. But again, nationally, you’ve got to wonder, what does this look like for the rest of the party? Line one, here’s Jim in San Antonio. Let’s go right to San Antonio. Teresa, let me have line one, please. Ten minutes past the hour. Let me get Jim here on the line, and we’ll find out. Let me get… Let’s go. 800-655-MIKE. I want to get to Jim. I know you got it. Come on. Come on. Come on. I need line one. I need line one. I need line one. I guess she’s not hearing me. The old talkback isn’t working again for her, Eric. Oh, it’s going to be a day. Going to be a day. Here he is, Jim in San Antonio. Sorry for the delay. How are you doing, Jim? Just fine.
SPEAKER 09 :
We are a blue city, and her name is Gina Ortiz-Jones, and the Ortiz supposedly just came down. a part of her name within a year. Really? She was appointed through the Biden administration as the Secretary of the Air Force, which she only stayed 18 months, and she could never pass a budget, and so she left early. And she hasn’t even been living in San Antonio, and she kind of parachuted in probably in the last few years.
SPEAKER 10 :
What’s her ideology like, Jim? Is she like this lunatic in New York? Oh.
SPEAKER 09 :
Close, but probably not as bad. Not as bad. There’s a mass exodus even in San Antonio. Really? People are moving to surrounding communities. Really? Yeah, she’s going to do. Of course, we’ve had a Democratic mayor probably for the last 10 terms. Right, right. And a lot of it’s just by virtue of people. We only have 11% to 12% turnout, and when you have that kind of turnout, This is what you get.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, I guess so. And again, it speaks to nationally what Democrats have to decide what they’re going to do. Because, look, they have to say perhaps moderate Democrats just don’t work. Maybe it’s not going to work. Maybe we need to go as far left as possible. And I just wonder… If it works in New York, if it works in San Antonio, is it going to work in your city? I mean, there’s going to be a mass exodus in New York. There’s no question. There’s no doubt. I’ve already heard from people late last night who said, I’m done. I’m out. I talked to one person who lived there their whole life. They’re out. They’re coming to Florida. And this is probably a mixed bag for states like Texas and the Carolinas and Florida, Oklahoma. where New Yorkers are going to flee because of the catastrophe that this guy is going to be. But look, they’re going to bring a lot of their Democrat voting policies with them. One of the smartest takes of this… disaster in New York with this socialist Mamdani winning the Democrat nomination came from Stephen Miller. Gosh, this guy is so smart. And he’s got so many good takes. And it proves what we’ve been saying over and over and over again. Mass open borders changes the electorate. And in so doing, that’s the goal. That’s the whole plan. Here’s what Stephen Miller posted, and this is such a brilliant point, and we’ve got to get to Iran, we’ve got a lot of stuff to cover here. But Stephen Miller wrote last night, the commentary about New York City Democrats nominating an anarchist socialist for mayor omits one important point. how unchecked migration fundamentally remade the New York City electorate. Democrats change politics by changing voters. That’s how you turn a city that once defined U.S. dominance into what it is now. And that’s always been the goal. And you’ve got to hand it to them. The Democrats knew what they were doing with open borders. Because you remake… the electorate. You install the kind of voters who would shockingly vote for an anarchist, radical, rabid socialist like this guy. And that’s why they hate what Trump has done. That’s why they despise Tom Holman. That’s why they despise common sense border security. Because they’re not going to be able to hijack elections if the open flow of illegals… Get stopped. Ph.D. weight loss has changed my life, and I’ve got a little secret for you. You know Big Pharma and semaglutide and the shots in the belly. You’ve seen the story recently about the study that shows that a lot of people that are getting this are going blind. You don’t want to do this. You want a program to lose weight that’s centered around science and nutrition, a proven roadmap that has helped over 8,000 clients lose weight and keep it off, like me. I lost 53 pounds a few years ago, and I’ve kept it off. I know what to eat and when. I know how to quiet any of the cravings I might get and finally release that unhealthy belly fat that I carried along for so long. Make the phone call that can change your life in the way it changed mine. It’s called PhD Weight Loss. PhD Weight Loss, Dr. Ashley Lucas’ program is brilliant. And how do I know? Well, 53 pounds later, here I am. 864-644-1900 is their number. Call and schedule your consultation. You can do this program from anywhere in America. Call 864-644-1900, 864-644-1900, or visit MyPhDWeightLoss.com. Mike Gallagher. Here’s an interesting statistic I just saw on social media. Apparently this is accurate. Fun with numbers, there are about 4.7 million registered voters in New York City. Mamdani got 432,000 votes. That’s 9.1%. This poster says that the organized Jewish community was stupid and useless up to now is one thing, but a Mamdani victory in November is far from a foregone conclusion. One can only hope. One can only pray. And I don’t know how this plays out. Curtis Sliwa, my friend Curtis Sliwa, is the Republican nominee. I’ve got a theory about Curtis winning the election. It’s going to come down to one of the silliest things. And I’m afraid to ask him about it because I’m afraid I’m going to insult him. But it has to do with his beret. And I could be completely out to lunch on this. Again, I’ve never asked him the question I want to ask him. We’re trying to get him on the show maybe this week. But Curtis, of course, is the founder of the Heroic Guardian Angels. And they all wear red berets. And Curtis, I’m convinced, goes to sleep with his red beret on his head. And I’ve got a theory that he may hate. If he ditched the beret, he’d win. If he lost the red beret… and the red silk jacket, his uniform that he wears everywhere. And I’ve walked with him in the streets of New York. Of course, he’s instantly recognizable with the beret. And I don’t know if that’s the… I’m sure he’s very proud of the history of the Guardian Angels. I’m not sure people want to pull the lever for the guy with the red beret. Lose the beret represent what a law and order guy you are and how you’ll bring common sense… conservatism to a city that’s in desperate need of it, you’ll win. But you’ve got to lose the beret. And I’m a guy that has always said, I think there ought to be lifetime movies, there ought to be movies made, books written about this guy’s life. The mob tried to kill him. You ought to hear the story about him getting shot in the back of a taxi cab by the mafia. I think they pumped five or six bullets into him. And he lived to tell the tale. Great story. We’ll get Curtis on the show. Let’s see if I’ll have the guts to ask him about the beret. We’ll also talk to Arthur Idalla, our friend, the legal eagle, out of AM 970, The Answer, in New York City. I’ve got a big announcement for Mike Lindell and MyPillow. Does that annoy you?
SPEAKER 10 :
No, not at all. You sound great. You have my deepest sympathies over the Democrat primary last night.
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, my gosh. This whole place, this whole world, Vietnam and Korea, they had diseases on people that they sent on a lot of our troops and did a lot of things to them in the brothels and in the bars and in the streets. And I think that’s a major concern for those people that came here from the other side. Actually, everything that came across the borders is considered an invasion, and that is an act of war in any place you’ve ever been to do anything about law and order.
SPEAKER 10 :
All right, Bob, appreciate your call. Thanks. Portions of our show brought to you by MyPillow and Big Deal. Two sales in one. First, they’re having a closeout sale on the percale bedsheets. SPEAKER 07 :
Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 10 :
Last night on CNN, my friend Arthur Idalla was on a panel and delivered some real cold, hard truths to that panel.
SPEAKER 03 :
I want to ask you a question. What is your evidence that Mamdani would return New York City to the 1970s hellhole Times Square?
SPEAKER 11 :
What is your evidence? It’s very simple. So he wants to raise taxes on people who make the most money. What eventually is going to happen is you’re going to lose that tax base. Once you lose that tax base, our bonds will get degraded. Now the city, the city budget will not be substantial enough. to subsidize not only the cops, but the fire department, the sanitation department. Once you start losing Wall Street and people who pay $11,000, $12,000 a month to live on the Upper East Side, you’re done. You’re done. And you go back to the 70s when Gerald Ford said New York dropped dead.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay, but hold on, hold on, Arthur. Arthur making Joy Reid look pretty dumb, but in fairness, that’s not really a high bar. Let’s welcome back to the show our friend, one of the most high-profile and successful New York trial attorneys, the great Arthur Idalla. You know, that’s not really a heavy lift, I mean, but you were right.
SPEAKER 11 :
You were right. Let me… Mike, before we even talk about New York, I go on that CNN panel, and I enjoy it. I have no problem telling you I enjoy it. I’m kind of like the moderate there, and everyone’s always very nice. But I’ve been on with dozens of people now, but Joy Reid is on a whole other level. In the segment before that, she was basically supporting Iran. And I’m going to tell you how the sausage is made. When we went off air, not me, but one of the other guests, I believe he called her bonkers. I think he said, Joy, I mean, the stuff you’re saying is bonkers. Because she’s like, how can we bomb a sovereign nation that has never attacked America? He goes, what do you mean? Over the last 30 years, they’ve killed 170 Americans. I mean, he had all the staff. It was crazy. So then when they say, I mean, she’s clearly a Mamdani guy, person, I should say. And what I said is accurate. You know, it’s people discount the money. And I did my senior thesis in college about the fiscal crisis and about the Board of Estimate here in the city of New York. and how close we were to going bankrupt. And they had to form a special charter revision committee to, to write the ship. So a guy named Felix Royalton saved the city of New York with his mathematics. You get a 33 year old young man. I don’t care what his background is. I don’t care what his nationality is. You get a 33 year old young person who has never run anything. I believe his staff is five or six people. He’s been an assemblyman for three years. He’s never run anything. Now, he’s got very prestigious parents and he has a very good upbringing. But you’re going to put him in charge of New York City’s billions and billions of dollars of budget. You’re going to put him in charge of all these agencies, our safety, our tourism, our education. You know, he’s just and the things that he’s saying that he would do, a mayor doesn’t have control over. So, you know, he wants to raise the minimum wage. He doesn’t have the power to do that. The state legislature has to do that. He wants to freeze taxes. He has a very limited ability to, I’m sorry, freeze.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, but you’re listing the things he can’t do. What about the things he can do? And that’s what terrifies a lot of normal people who can’t believe that the Democrat voters did what they did last night.
SPEAKER 11 :
So my phone has been blowing up with people like us. Here’s, you know, you talked about in one of your commercials about your age. People who were out yesterday in 100-degree weather campaigning vigorously for Mom Donnie, they do not remember pre-Rudy Giuliani New York City. My office in Manhattan is right next to Bryant Park. People go there in the afternoon and watch movies and have a cocktail. In 1989, if you walked through Bryant Park, you weren’t coming out without getting robbed, beat up, terrorized, assaulted in some way. They forget what Times Square was like with all the pornography and the crack and the knives and the scariness. These kids, they don’t know that. So that’s the direction, you know, this city would be going in under Imam Dhani. Unless, unless he won, he was smart enough to hire a great police commissioner. As much as you want to brag on de Blasio, he did have Bill Bratton as his police commissioner.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, but this guy wants to, but this guy wants to, but he wants to defund the police. I know, I know. He wants to replace… I’m terrified. Look, Arthur, I heard somebody allege that he wanted to actually remove the police from high-crime neighborhoods in New York. I thought, that’s not possible. That can’t be. I saw it with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears. He said it in an interview. He wants to remove police because too many people get arrested in high-crime neighborhoods and they get persecuted because they’re people of color. He wants to replace the cops with social workers. Every bit of the rabid, crazy, radical agenda that you imagine, you dream up, he believes in. He thinks these things. I know.
SPEAKER 11 :
Before I lose you, Mike, let me give you a little breaking news. I spoke to Andrew Cuomo this morning at length. Okay. I spoke to Eric Adams’ campaign manager. I missed Eric Adams’ call. He called me as well. Right. The bottom line is they both understand that one of them needs to be the next mayor. They both believe that they should be the next mayor if the polling shows that one of them—it’s all out to beat Mamdani. Now, you’ve got Curtis Lee running as a Republican. That’s a problem because he’s going to draw votes from normal people as well. Somehow or another, the smartest New Yorkers have to get together and say, this is the one guy who can beat Mamdani. Whether it’s Sliwa on the Republican line, whether it’s Eric Adams as the incumbent on the independent line, whether it’s Cuomo on an independent line, but whoever is the most likely to beat Mamdani has to be the one person. Everyone coalesces around and run against, and because this kid can’t be the mayor of the city of New York, we would be in for a world of hurt.
SPEAKER 10 :
You know, I think about a guy that I’ve known over the years, John Katsimatidis, who is this— I was going to mention his name.
SPEAKER 11 :
I was going to mention his name. He’s got to be a real kingmaker here and say, look, the polls show that Cuomo’s best to beat Mamdani, or Eric is best to beat Mamdani, and the other guy has to endorse whoever is leading in the polls.
SPEAKER 10 :
And John’s a high-profile Republican and, of course, a broadcaster. He owns WABC and, of course, he appears on AM 970, The Answer, every night. But he also owns the Gristini’s supermarket chain. One of the agenda items for this lunatic is to funnel funds, to confiscate funds from corporate grocery stores to fund city-owned grocery stores so that there’s no profit on groceries. Now, that’ll put Gristiti’s out of business. And I believe I saw an interview, I think, with John a few weeks ago. He said, if this happens, we’ll pull Gristiti’s out of the city. We’ll have to.
SPEAKER 11 :
We’ll have to. That’s what I was talking about with Joy Reid last time on CNN. So you get a billionaire like John Katsimatidis who says, I’m going to pull this out. I’m going to pull that out. My primary reason is no longer going to be in New York City. I’m going to move out to my house in Quag in the Hamptons. That’s it. That’s the domino effect and everything starts falling. So, you know, we need, as New Yorkers who are educated, who are mature, who know what history has held for this city and how bad it could be. That’s the problem. The young people don’t know about how bad the subways was, the graffiti, the grime. So those like the John Katsimatidis of the world have to come together and say, look, guys, all three of you can’t run. Slewa, Cuomo, and Eric, we got to pick one, and that’s our guy.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes, yes.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 10 :
Really? Yes, 100%.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yep. He loves this city. You know, people make a video, oh, he lives in Westchester. He loves it. Come on, the kid grew up in Queens. He loves this city. He does not want Mamdani to be the mayor. He knows he got caught in this. I mean, look, 8% of the people voted. Eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. This was not like a big, overwhelming turnout here. So what he said is, let’s wait a week or two. Let’s see what the polling says. If the polling says I’m the guy, then I’m in. And if the polling says I’m not the guy, then I’m not going to be. I’m not going to just run to be the spoiler.
SPEAKER 10 :
60 seconds left. What’s your prediction, Swami? Look into your crystal ball. What do you think these three men will do?
SPEAKER 11 :
I would like to think that they all do. I think Curtis stays on the Republican line no matter what.
SPEAKER 10 :
He’s not going anywhere, I don’t think.
SPEAKER 11 :
Right, but I’m afraid he could wind up playing the spoiler, even if Eric stepped out and supported Andrew or Andrew stepped out and supported. I don’t know if there’s enough there to have the 30% that Curtis will get 30% of the vote. Now there’s the other 70%. I don’t know if there’s enough in there to kill these progressives who don’t know what they’re in store for. And by the way, taking cops out of the worst neighborhoods, 97% of the people in those worst neighborhoods are great people. It’s 3% who are total jerks. And those 97%, they want the cops in those neighborhoods to protect them from the 3% of the jerks.
SPEAKER 10 :
Right. Well, you mentioned— I don’t know.
SPEAKER 11 :
It was not a good day to wake up.
SPEAKER 10 :
No, I went to bed with my – I was heart sick. Although, frankly, nationally, this is great news for the Republicans. This is all great because they’re going to hang – I agree. They’re going to hang this guy around the neck of the Democrat Party for the next 10 years. I agree. They did a lot of damage to themselves because this is the direction that the Democrats are going in, whether anybody wants to admit it or not. Look, you mentioned the love of Andrew Cuomo that he has for New York, and I’ve known Curtis for years. Curtis truly loves New York. Interestingly enough – So interestingly enough, it may take that love and passion for this great city for these guys to say, I’m not going to run. I’m going to throw in the towel. We’re going to coalesce behind one person. But I don’t know if they can do it or not. Arthur Idalla, I was so anxious to talk to you today. It’s been too long. Keep fighting the good fight. Congratulations on your recent legal victories. You’ve got a bunch of great stuff going there. This is the guy you turn to when you’re in trouble. The one and only Arthur Idalla. And Joy Reid. Look, even she needs to reach out to you if she ever gets into any legal trouble. You’ll help her. Thanks, Arthur. Keep fighting the good fight. Great seeing you. Thanks so much, Mike. You too. Back at you. 800-655-MIKE. Wow. What a turn of events. They’re calling it a political shocker, a bombshell. We’ll see what you think coming up.

SPEAKER 08 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior, Mike Gallagher, broadcasting across hundreds of radio stations nationwide and seen on your trusted conservative TV network, Salem News Channel. Here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 10 :
The country has sort of a love-hate relationship with New York City. Every movie, every TV show always focuses on Manhattan, the skyline. It’s, of course, considered… one of America’s great cities. Doesn’t feel so great today, does it? And this love-hate relationship is probably exemplified by a post from a pretty popular social media influencer, Cat Turd. Ever follow Cat Turd? He’s at Cat Turd 2. Sorry for the rather crude handle. But he’s got a big following. And he posted the cover of today’s New York Post, which has a picture of this radical socialist, Zoran Mamdani, winning the Democrat primary. Big smiling face at his victory party last night. And the big banner headline says, NYC SOS. Who will save the city? after the radical socialist batters Cuomo in the Democrat mayoral primary, and Catterd wrote, I actually think this is funny. I can’t stand the snobs in New York City. Watching them get exactly what they deserve for voting for this clown for the next four years will be hilarious. I’ll bet a lot of people are feeling that way in America. Now, not necessarily in New York, but And I have friends and family there. They’re in a state of shock. But the truth of the matter is, New York City was already suffering from tax revenue losses due to wild leftist policies that drove people out and into red states. I mean, take me for example. I thought 51% was as high as I could go in paying taxes. And that reflects city, state, and federal taxes. And I moved to New York. I mean, moved out of New York and moved to Florida. And got an instant pay raise. It was just economic common sense. Well, this is going to get even worse now. And it’s going to lead, perhaps, New York State to lose congressional seats, like has happened in California. So it’s awful for New York, but it’s really great for the rest of the country because they’re going to make, Republicans now will make, Zoran Mamdani the face of today’s Democrat Party. And look, for young progressives, that’s just what they want. That’s who they want. So guess what? That’s what you’re going to get. So be ready for it all. On another bigger scale, I saw Ted Cruz earlier today on Fox News confirming that the Iranian nuclear strike was a spectacular success, despite CNN reporting to the contrary. You heard about that, right? There was supposedly a leak, and some unnamed sources said that the military strikes weren’t really all that effective. They were damaged, but it wasn’t all that bad. They’re going to be okay. Operation Midnight Hammer wasn’t all that successful. And, of course, the White House immediately denied that. The president, Caroline Leavitt, prominent people saying, no, that’s not true. It’s going to be years before they could get their nuclear program started up again. But Mark Wayne Mullen was on last night on CNN. And just had a question that I think reflects the way so many of us feel. Why don’t Democrats and Trump haters want us to win? Why do they continually root against the United States? He posed that question to Caitlin Collins last night. I thought this was pretty perfect.
SPEAKER 04 :
You heard the majority leader there saying he has not seen intelligence to confirm that Iran’s nuclear program was obliterated. Have you seen any of that?
SPEAKER 05 :
Actually, that isn’t exactly what he said. He said you need to ask the question to Tom Cotton, who sits on Intel. I’ll tell you the reports that we’ve received. is that this was a complete success. I mean, you think about this, Caitlin, and I don’t understand why this is such a hard thing for CNN or other people to celebrate the victory that the United States just achieved. We had 30 Tomahawk missiles. We had 14 30,000-pound bombs. delivered on target and on time. We had no detection, no boots on the ground, complete mission success with Midnight Hammer. And this is a victory that we should celebrate for the simple fact, Caitlin, that the world is safer because Iran cannot develop their nuclear weapon. And keep in mind, this is a country that is the number one sponsor of terror around the world. So this should be something that we’re celebrating, not something we’re trying to bring some division between us on.
SPEAKER 10 :
He’s right. Why can’t even CNN sell it? I guess it’s just the tribal nature of politics. And everybody goes to their side of the their side of the ring. And they just take pot shots. And CNN was very proud to trumpet what they said was a failed mission in Iran. Here was Ted Cruz last night on Fox News Channel.
SPEAKER 02 :
It’s not surprising that that CNN is attacking the Trump White House. They’ve done that every day of his presidency. They’ve done that every day since the first time he became president in 2017. If you look at the results of this attack, they were nothing, nothing sort of spectacular. We saw seven B-2 bombers fly across the world, execute, deliver 14 bunker buster, 30,000 pound bombs and devastate three Iranian nuclear weapons facilities and then fly back. And there was not a single American casualty. You know, I have to commend, first of all, the American servicemen and women that carried out the attack. But the president and his team executed it to perfection. And it was devastatingly effective in terms of degrading Iran’s capability. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that CNN is throwing rocks from the sidelines.
SPEAKER 10 :
Senator Ted Cruz with Jesse Waters last night on Fox News. And back to the kookiness of today’s Democrat Party. The other day I said on this show, I wish the left would come right out and just say, you’re okay with the Iranians having nukes. Just come out and say it. Because none of them had the guts to admit that until last night on CNN. I give you… The ex-MSNBC host, Joy Reid, on CNN last night as a guest.
SPEAKER 05 :
which you don’t need for a civilian nuclear energy program, which, by the way, they don’t need a civilian nuclear energy program anyway.
SPEAKER 03 :
How arrogant to tell them what they need. They have been two weeks away since Bibi Netanyahu said it in 96. He said it to George W. Bush. He said it to Joe Biden. He said it to Barack Obama. He’s been saying they’ve been two weeks away since 1996. Wait a minute, though.
SPEAKER 10 :
Who are we to tell Iran they don’t need a civilian nuclear energy program, she said during the crosstalk. The arrogance of that. We’re arrogant. It’s arrogance for President Trump to fulfill a promise to make sure that the mullahs don’t get their hands in creating a nuclear weapon so they could obliterate Israel. Wow. So sometimes, once in a while, they say the quiet part out loud. Welcome in. We’re in the Relief Factor studios for a Breaking News Wednesday. A little bit later this hour, I want to repeat a segment that we had about… It really touched a nerve. It’s a personal story, but I think it talks a little… We’ll get a little break for a few minutes over politics and New York City and Iran and talk a little bit about the power of redemption or… The inability to hold somebody accountable. I’m a little bit in the hot seat, but I’ll share that segment with you coming up later this hour. I think you’ll find it intriguing. I hope you do. Okay, let’s dive into this. This is pretty fascinating because what do you do when your heart is heavy for a city you love because they actually did it and made this guy the nominee, but you know how beneficial this is going to be nationally to you? for common sense candidates and republicans look there’s a very interesting dynamic at play here first of all look new york lost cause there’s just no way around this new york couple of prominent comments i saw last night on social media new york city just voted for a guy who said he understands why 9-11 happened. Let that sink in. Another comment. Look, it took less than 25 years to go from 9-11, and that’s personal for me. I was in the Empire State Building that morning, as you know, to electing a commie jihadi apologist. I mean, it really is mind-boggling. How’d you like to be Jewish? And live in New York right now and know how he feels about the Jews. Because he’s a rank anti-Semite. His plans are so insane. He was asked, I did a little bit of research last night. He sat down with the New York Times a few weeks ago. This is great. Now this will maybe resonate more with New Yorkers who know about Bill de Blasio, right? The New York Times editorial board asked Zoran, the aspiring rapper, who is the best New York City mayor in your lifetime, Zoran?
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, in your lifetime, he’s been alive for, he’s 33. I mean, he wasn’t even alive for David Dinkins.
SPEAKER 10 :
But he answers for all time. He says, in my lifetime, and then in all lifetime, in his lifetime, Bill de Blasio. Great. That’s his favorite. So, look, it’s being described as a political earthquake for the Democrat Party. But it really is, Mark, because let’s analyze this nationally. Let’s talk about what this means for Dallas. Let’s talk about what it means for Austin. Let’s talk about what it means all over the country. These young, rabid radicals win. They energize young people. Yep. who get promised a bunch of free stuff. One of his, by the way, big promises is you won’t have to pay to ride the bus anymore in New York City. Yeah, yeah, it’s a good plan.
SPEAKER 12 :
How will that system survive?
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, that’ll go great. And incidentally, the subway stations, he wants to turn into homeless shelters.
SPEAKER 12 :
Aren’t they already?
SPEAKER 10 :
No, but he wants to formalize it. He wants to actually take retail space and put the already, you know, sometimes violent homeless people down in the subways with everybody else. So all of this is a nightmare. There’s going to be a mass exodus. John Katsimatidis, the big guy, you know, owns WABC Radio. But, you know, one of his fortunes comes from the Gristiti’s supermarket chain. And John has said, look, this guy wins. We’re moving all the Gristinis out of New York City. In a way, he has to because Mamdani’s plan is to funnel profits from corporate grocery stores into city-run grocery stores. To compete against them.
SPEAKER 12 :
Lovely.
SPEAKER 10 :
Right. And take the money, the profits from the John Katsimatidis of the world because you know how evil the billionaires are. We’ve got to tax the rich. But here’s what’s very interesting. If you look at the AOC wing of the party, they’re going to be emboldened. They’re going to say, look, moderate Democrats don’t win. We can’t compete. So what we got to do is double down, go big or go home. We’ve got to be just anti-Semitic, far-left, rabid, commie, socialist radicals. And that’s the way we’ve got to take the Democrat Party.
SPEAKER 12 :
Because it worked in New York City. Go ahead and finish your sentence because it’s going to be a big payoff.
SPEAKER 10 :
Apparently it worked in San Antonio a couple weeks ago, too. Now, this is working. So you know what? Let that keep happening. And let’s take it all the way to the White House. In 2028, you make sure you run a Zoran Mamdani for president and see how that goes. It’s New York, again, lost cause. They’re a bunch of delusional nutcases. They’re going to get what they deserve. But nationally, this is actually great for our side, Mark.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah. Everybody says, how can we shut Jasmine Crockett up? I want her talking every day, every day.
SPEAKER 10 :
That’s right. And the analysts are saying they’re calling this a political earthquake because the Democrats are going to have to say, well, you know what? Maybe the maybe the middle of the road, John Fetterman kind of Democrat doesn’t work. And we got to we’re going to go all in. And I think that’s good for I really do. I think we’re now going to hang Zoran Mamdani around the neck of the Democrat Party from now till the for the next 20 years. I mean, this is what this is the face. Isn’t this the face of the Democrats now, Mark?
SPEAKER 12 :
It increasingly is. And the John Fetterman, Dean Phillips, remember the guy who ran for president for 10 minutes and got about 10 votes, said, hey, Democrats, great idea. Please, let’s have an America-hating socialist as mayor of New York City. And as Donald Trump brings peace to the world, let’s get him. Way to go, Democrats. And which led me to tweet, they’re not all crazy. And it’s true. They’re not all crazy, but the crazy ones are enjoying success and clicks. And that could…
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, they’re going to be emboldened, and that’s okay. Stephen Miller had a great reaction, too. He said, fundamentally remade the New York City electorate. Democrats change politics by changing voters. That’s how you turn a city that defined U.S. dominance into what it’s going to become. And what a great point. He’s right about that, Mark. This is the goal, always the goal with open borders. remake the electorate and you bring in the kind of lunatics that now very enthusiastically voted for this guy um and and who incidentally promised that if bb netanyahu ever stepped foot in new york as mayor he would have benjamin netanyahu arrested great he said he promised he would do that he would have but he would have bb arrested as a war criminal Shrieking at Tom Holman. That’s such an interesting background. He’s this privileged little snot-nosed punk who grew up in a multi-million dollar Upper East Side spread with his radical, rabid Columbia professor dad. And his and his entertainment, you know, movie mogul mom. She’s the one who financed one of his stupid movies. I mean, this is a this is these these are these like trust fund babies that we see out protesting in the streets. He’s it. You know, you see these blue haired kids with with the nose rings, you know, with the with the no kings. This is who that is. And now he could very well be the mayor of New York. Now, look, they’re calling for some radical stuff to happen in New York because now you’re basically going to have a Momdami. Yep. You’re going to have Eric Adams. As an independent. As an independent. And Curtis Sliwa.
SPEAKER 12 :
You know who else may run as an independent?
SPEAKER 10 :
Who?
SPEAKER 12 :
The freshly defeated Andrew Cuomo, who floated a – because it wasn’t close, but it wasn’t a blowout. It was sufficiently wide a margin that he said, ring choice. And you and I were trading texts back the last night. I said, you know, it’s not totally officially done yet. There may be further rounds. And then, of course, Cuomo then conceded. Okay, and so much for that. He may come in and – Which will guarantee the Mamdani win because you don’t have to get 50%. It’s not a runoff or anything. Whoever gets a plurality will win in November.
SPEAKER 10 :
One of the darkly humorous tweets I saw last night was, maybe it didn’t work out so well for Cuomo to have killed all those people during the pandemic.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, there you are.
SPEAKER 10 :
You know, maybe that came back to bite him in the butt. Anyway, we’re going to see how it all plays out. We’ve got a lot of New York-centric guests today. We’re going to talk to the great Arthur Idalla. If you didn’t see him school that reprehensible Joy Reid last night on CNN… You’re missing out. You should play that clip because he’s saying, look, we’re going to go back to the 70s when it was crackheads on every corner, crime running rampant. And she said, how do you know? And he just schooled her. The great Arthur Idalla is a legal eagle, a great defense attorney who incidentally represents Harvey Weinstein. And if you didn’t pay attention a couple weeks ago.
SPEAKER 12 :
Everybody deserves a defense. And that defense kind of worked, by the way.
SPEAKER 10 :
It kind of worked. I mean, what do they have, like split verdict and all that? He didn’t throw the book at them. But so we’re going to talk to him. I’d love to talk to Dov Heikin. He’s a longtime Jewish activist in New York City. He was a New York City assemblyman, friend of the show. And I just hurt for New York Jews right now. They’ve got to be thinking it’s already been open season on us.
SPEAKER 12 :
And the conservative ones, I mean, the liberal Jews, if you’re a liberal Jew, in many cases, the liberal part matters way more than the Jew part. The majority of Jews vote Democrat. There are a bunch of Jews voted for this guy. I guarantee you the younger ones.
SPEAKER 10 :
And I once asked the great Dennis Prager, who we continue to pray for during his recovery. But Dennis told me, because I said, why do so many Jews vote Democrat? He said, it’s the secular Jews. Remember something. It’s Jews who never go to temple. It’s Jews who really don’t lean into the faith at all of Judaism. That’s the problem that we have.
SPEAKER 12 :
There must be a lot of them.
SPEAKER 10 :
