Well, football is in the air, which ties into our topic today.
SPEAKER 12 :
All right, let’s get into it.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, and football camps are opening. Most people this fall will attend a football game at a high school, college, or pro level or watch on TV as they play the national anthem. And tomorrow is Francis Scott Key’s birthday. And so most know the song, some know the author, few know the story. And I wanted to talk about the story because I think if people understand what we weren’t taught about it, that they will appreciate the song more and our forebears.
SPEAKER 12 :
Absolutely. Tell us. I don’t know that I know the full story. I know a lot of it, but let me hear it.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, and this is an interesting thing because Providence trumps individual intentions because Francis Scott, he was an attorney in Baltimore, and he went on to a British prison ship to go help one of his clients get off of that prison ship. Now, this was September 13th, 1814. The War of 1812 had been going on two years, and the British, three weeks before, had burned the Capitol and burned the White House. And so fear was in the country that we were going to lose the war and become British citizens again. And as a matter of fact, The British would not let him leave, and he was against the war. They said he had to stay on the ship until the fight was over at Fort McHenry because if that fight went the British way, the war would be over. And so the whole country was on the line as this fight went on with 5,000 British soldiers and sailors against 1,000 Americans pinned up in Fort McHenry.
SPEAKER 12 :
Wow. So in other words, he was a prisoner, but not really a prisoner, but yet he was.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, he released his friend. He got his friend released, but then he was held because the British didn’t want him going back and giving intelligence to the Americans until the fight was over. And so they started shelling Fort McHenry on the morning of the 13th of September, and they shelled the fort for 25 hours. Wow.
SPEAKER 12 :
Wow. A solid day.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yes, a solid day. So the noise and the smoke. that came from all of those ships trying to take that fort over with the whole country on the line at that time. That’s what’s amazing. And so when he went out that next day and they scanned the horizon looking for that flag, and the flag that flew at Fort Henry, there were two of them the fort had. The garrison flag was 30 by 42 feet, largest flag ever made at that time. They had a storm flag, and they’re not sure which one was up. But when they strained through the smoke and the haze of that early morning and they saw that the flag was there, they knew that the American troops had held on through the night. Great story.
SPEAKER 12 :
Gives you goosebumps.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yes, and then the British ran out of ammunition or got tired of it and left, and that was the last major threat of us against the war. And so he wrote that song within two days of that fight, and his admiration for those Americans who stood up and fought for the country is what guided that. And today there are people who think that the song promotes war. It doesn’t. It was written by an anti-war person, but it promotes patriotism and our freedom.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and as a side note, not to get too far off track here, but everything you just said, knowing what the English did to us and so on, and the reality is, and I get it, it’s the English and it’s not the entire European Union, although in my opinion it’s kind of all one anymore. Donald Trump just got a little payback on that, by the way.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, yes, he did. And we are so fortunate. And the sad thing and the reason why I want people to think about this is If they look at the flag at the football game and they visualize what Francis Scott Key was looking at, I think it will make all of us feel more patriotic. And I wasn’t taught in school this particular story. We were taught the song and everything. And so it’s very much another example of grandma on the roast pan of people doing something over and over without understanding why to the point that they stopped doing it.
SPEAKER 12 :
It is. It’s a great story, and again, a reminder to you, Richard, where I think a lot of folks think that the anthem itself, to your point earlier, promotes war, but actually it’s quite the opposite. In fact, that whole song in our anthem is about the end of war, if you would, and what he saw, to your point, what he saw that morning as he was looking out. That’s the song itself.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, yes, and the people who are protesting it now, it’s very similar to this recent jeans commercial. People looking for a reason to object to something. And so that’s what they’ve done with this song. They’ve looked in the third verse and come up with a word and try to twist the meaning so that they can make it look differently than it is. And all we have to do is look at the surface and what he was trying to convey and understand what it really means.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and I think, you know, your point in the story in this part, I did know, you know, it wasn’t somebody that was, you know, that went to war. He wasn’t a soldier per se. He was more of a, I guess you could say, Richard, an observer, patriot observer, given everything that you just said and the story that you just told. But the reality is he wasn’t fighting in the battle. I think that’s key, and that’s one thing I don’t think most people know.
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, exactly. You know, being an attorney and being an anti-war, he was against the war itself. So that, to me, is extremely important for the attitude he had after he observed what happened that fateful night.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, and again, I think that the other thing most people forget is they think that that anthem was written about the Revolutionary War, but this was many years after.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, he wrote the anthem within a couple of days of this action, but it wasn’t until 1931 it was made a national anthem. And I think it was very interesting that he wrote the words and took kind of a popular melody that was going around at that day. And the song became very popular quickly because our forebearers understood the meaning. And they understood it was honoring those people that saved the country for them. And so unlike today where music comes out and a million copies are sold in one day, songs in those days had sheet music and somebody played it on a piano or something and people sang along and it spread everywhere. less quickly, but for that time, very quickly.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, and what I meant by, you know, a lot of people think that this was written in 1776. We kind of associate the anthem with, you know, the Fourth of July. It was 1814. It wasn’t, you know, it wasn’t in 1776, Richard.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, yes, and the other thing about that is people think that when we won our independence in 1776 and the war, that we were free and we’ve never been threatened since then.
SPEAKER 12 :
Quite the opposite. No, in fact, it was the beginning of… Yes. You know, Richard, I think you and I have talked about this on this program, but to remind people, so you can talk about this around the water cooler, among your family and friends or whatever, those guys signed their lives away, if you would, treasonous signatures, if you would. That was the start of things, not the end.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yes, absolutely. And what I hope people listening will do is I hope they will take this story and tell their children or grandchildren why the song is so important and what it means and how unique our country is because of those sacrifices in the Revolution and 1812 and all the wars since then to give us this gift that we have.
SPEAKER 12 :
And why we don’t want it changed and we don’t want something else to replace it.
SPEAKER 06 :
No, absolutely not. If you want to see that, talk to somebody that’s from Britain who is a subject of the king and ask them if they’d rather be a citizen of the U.S. or a subject of the king, and most of them will say they’d rather be a citizen.

We’ve been talking about retirement and all that kind of stuff, and I was just curious, what do you usually talk about with the folks that come in for retirement planning? What does that mean?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, if somebody’s close to that transition where they’re thinking about their 401k and where do you want to allocate that, where’s the best place to have that invested? And some people who were fortunate enough to have a pension will have a conversation about that, especially if it comes to selecting a survivorship option.
SPEAKER 15 :
And how does that fit with life insurance and that kind of thing, with pensions and life insurance?
SPEAKER 07 :
If someone takes a big reduction in their pension, that’s what they need to do in order to have a spouse collect part of their pension should they pass on. But that reduction in their pension will only benefit them if the primary worker dies before the spouse. Sometimes people choose life insurance instead. which may not provide quite as much financial benefit, but there’s a certainty that the money will stay in their family.
SPEAKER 15 :
And is that always a good idea to do, or how do you help folks make that decision?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, it’s kind of a long conversation to some degree, because if someone has health concerns, then selecting that survivorship option is always a good idea, because it makes it much more likely that your spouse will collect that survivor benefit. On the other hand, sometimes the other spouse may be anticipating an inheritance option,

If you’re listening down that way, take cover, be safe, be a watchful eye. The weather today, just the sky itself has just looked ominous and weird. And again, if you’re out and about, be careful, be alert, and we’ll let you know if anything else pops up. Thank you, by the way, for the text message. I wasn’t going to talk about this at all, period, to be honest with you, but since Richard brought it up talking about the Sidney Sweeney, American Eagle. She has great jeans ad campaign. Well, why not? I’ll go ahead and talk about it. I’ll be the first to tell you also that I had to look this up when I saw some of the backlash happening. I had to actually go look up the ad and see what it said. And it’s in my opinion, it’s it’s a jeans ad. In fact. Let me go as far as to say this. It’s like the jeans ad when I grew up, which because of wokeness and other things, it got completely away from. But back when I was a kid growing up, most jeans ads were very similar to what this particular, you know, Sydney Sweeney ad is where she talks about great jeans. Now, of course, the left gets a hold of this and they have read every single thing into this ad you could possibly think of adding in, you know. She’s basically a Nazi. This is an Aryan statement. It’s much like Hitler with the blonde hair, blue eyes, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, you know, trying to create a super race. I mean, they have read as much things into this as you could possibly ever think of reading. It’s a jeans ad. By the way, American Eagle brought out a statement today that basically said that they responded to this by basically saying that Sidney Sweeney approved of all of this. She was fine with it. She wanted to push this as far as she could. They followed suit and did exactly that. Amen. Thank you, by the way. Now, you may like or not like the ad. That’s not the point. Some of you might think the ad’s a little bit too risque. Maybe they shouldn’t have run the ad. You know what? Teach his own. I look at this and say, you know, this is kind of a poke in the eye of the left. Because basically they have been saying since this ad came out that, you know, you can’t make this ad. You shouldn’t be doing this ad. Again, this is an ad that is promoting, you know, racism in a supreme race, a white race, you know, blue eye, blonde hair, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And yet they have come out and basically kind of doubled down and said, yeah, well, you know, it is what it is. You know, thank you, American Eagle. I’ll go buy more of your jeans, by the way. And as a side note, and I don’t want to get too personal here, but I’ve worn their jeans now for about the last three decades. So you’re going to say, why, John? Those are jeans for kids because they fit. Because they fit. I’m a guy that I could care less what the brand is. And I’m not going to go spend a boatload of money on jeans in the first place. So I will even look for their two-for-one deals and so on. And, yes, I wear their jeans because they fit. And I pretty much wear jeans almost every day. Occasionally, if it’s super hot out, I might wear something that’s a little bit, you know, cooler. But typically, I wear jeans pretty much every day. And, yes, they’re American Eagle jeans. Now, I don’t buy them because of any ad or anything else. Like I said, I buy them because they fit. And I’m somebody that I struggle to find jeans especially that actually fit correctly. I don’t know why. It’s just one of those things where I do and I find theirs fit very well. And so I’ve worn them now for about… At least two decades, if not longer. I used to be a Levi’s guy until I figured out that, gosh, I can actually wear something that fits better than Levi’s. I did, and I’ve worn them since. That’s the only jean I buy. So given that, I’m very thankful, actually, that they’ve come out with this statement and said this. Now, not saying all of you got to go out and buy American Eagle jeans. I don’t care what jeans you wear and buy. I just think it’s hilarious that they, and especially, and I don’t know where her political bent comes from. I could probably go look that up. My gut feeling is anybody inside of Hollywood, for the most part, is probably on the left. And once again, the left loves to eat its own. They love to eat their own. And I also understand that American Eagle, for the most part, is a more younger generation typically that are in there buying clothes and so on. It’s typically not a guy my age that’s in there buying clothes. I know I’m the anomaly. In fact, when I go buy jeans there, most of the folks behind the counter, they’re usually young girls. They look at me like, okay, old dude, what are you doing in here? I’m buying jeans because they fit. And I’ll buy three or four pair at one time knowing I don’t have to buy them for two or three more years because that’s about how long I can wear a pair. Anyways, not to get too personal, but yeah, they kind of give me that side eye like, what are you doing in here, old guy? I’m buying jeans. And they fit. And I’ll keep buying them until something changes and they don’t any longer. Then at that point, I guess I’ll find something else. But at this point, they fit. I wear them. And please don’t text me 500 other recommendations on what jeans to wear because when I find something I like, you can ask my wife. I buy it. I don’t care what brand it is. I don’t care whose name’s on it. If it fits, I’ll wear it. I don’t care. So don’t send me 500 things as to, well, you should try these, you should try those, because I’m not going to. These fit. I wear them. End of story. And they’re cheap. And, yeah, when it comes to jeans, I’m cheap in that regard. I’m not spending $100 plus for a pair of jeans. That’s not me. And for some of you listening, if that’s what you do, that’s fine. No judgment. Go spend whatever you want to on jeans, but I refuse to do that. I will not spend, in my world, and I know I’m going to sound really cheap here, but I won’t spend more than about $40 for a pair of jeans. Period. That’s just kind of my limit. And I try to even buy the two-for-one deal, or I try to buy them when they’re $24.99, which at times they are. I mean, that’s me, because I don’t want to spend a bunch of money on them. And I get it. I could. There’s some things in life for me. that come down more to the principal end of things than it does anything else. It’s not that I can’t afford to spend $100 on a pair of jeans. I won’t spend $100 on a pair of jeans. Just like I went shopping for tennis shoes over the weekend because I finally worn out a pair that I need to get a new pair. So my wife takes me out. We go buy a pair of tennis shoes. I also will not spend $100 for tennis shoes. I can, but I won’t. It’s a principle thing for me. I will not spend that much money on quote-unquote designer tennis shoes because at the end of the day, it’s a tennis shoe. And I’m not going to spend that much money on a pair of dress shoes where, you know, in a lot of cases with dress shoes, the more you spend, the better the shoe. That I understand. I’ve got some dress shoes, some very high-quality Italian-made dress shoes that I’ve had for three decades that, yes, back in the day I probably spent $300 for that I still own to this day because they’re that high quality that they’ll last that long. And I’ve worn those dress shoes over and over and over again all those years, and they look as good as the day I bought them. I have no problem doing that, but jeans aren’t that way. I’m not spending that much money on a pair of jeans. The one thing that I will spend money on is a dress shirt. That is one thing that I will splurge on because, and Charlie knows this, I wear dress shirts every single day unless I’m outside working and back, and my wife will even tell you this. I wear a dress shirt every single day of the week, long-sleeved dress shirt, and yes, I’ll spend money on a good dress shirt because I can wear a good dress shirt literally for years. I’m not exaggerating. I can wear a dress shirt. I’ve got pictures even where I’ve got dress shirts. I’m like, geez, that’s the same shirt. I’m still wearing it. That was four or five years ago. So I can get a lot. I mean, I can spend 120, 130 bucks on a dress shirt, but I can wear it for five, six years. Do the math. That’s not much money per year. I’m doing as well as anybody that’s spending $25, $30 for a shirt that they’re only getting a year out of. I’m actually doing better than they are in most cases. So I understand good quality, and it’s worth spending money on quality things. But in my case, or in my world, I don’t see jeans in that way. I don’t see any difference in a pair of $100 jeans versus $25 jeans because jeans are jeans are jeans, in my opinion. And I’m more for do they fit versus whose name’s on them. So sorry to get into details there, but this is what happens when ad campaigns get run. We’re now talking about jeans that I never would have talked about before because of an ad that the left is irate over. That’s where this stems from. So American Eagle is actually getting a lot of press out of this. That’s the other part that the left forgets is the more they talk about something like this, the more press for free they’re giving American Eagle. All you have to do is go into your toolbar, you know, go into your search bar and type in Sidney Sweeney. You don’t have to type in American Eagle. Just type in Sidney Sweeney and you’ll find everything about this that you want to with American Eagle plastered all over it. Meaning, think about all of the free press they’re gaining out of this. That’s the one thing that the left at times, sometimes even we on the right don’t understand. These sorts of things generate free press for these companies. And in this case, frankly, I think in a good way. Because the left is upset over something that, frankly, they shouldn’t be upset over. They’re reading things into this. And now what’s happened is it’s kind of become the butt of all jokes, even like the Babylon Bee. They’ve even come out with different things along these lines and different jokes about this and memes about it and so on. So the left doesn’t realize how bad they’ve actually made this and how much better they’ve made American Eagle and Sidney Sweeney actually look at the end of the day. So… I’ll leave it at that. You can go watch the ad for yourself. Some are going to probably be upset about the ad. Others will love the ad. I’m neutral. I don’t care one way or the other. It’s an ad. At the end of the day, it’s no different than any other ad that we used to watch as kids. In fact, let me just say this. I would just as soon go back to some of the ads we used to have back in the day versus some of the ads that I currently see in some cases. Because some of the new ads are so woke, they’re not even worth watching. I don’t even know what product they’re selling because I don’t want to. I don’t want to see it. It’s garbage. All right. Normally, by the way, I’ve got Sunny Kutcher at this time. She is on an airplane today, and let me know that she would not be able to join us. And so she apologized, but she will be back with us in the very near future. So just so you all know, if you’re expecting to hear from her today, that won’t happen because she is on an airplane as we speak. Joe, what’s going on today, sir?
SPEAKER 03 :
John, just a question to ponder. If they had chosen an equally very attractive black woman, say Halle Berry, who could have done the commercial, what would the left have said then if she’s talking about her great change?
SPEAKER 12 :
Zero, nothing.
SPEAKER 03 :
But you agree that Halle Berry could have done the same identical commercial word for word?
SPEAKER 12 :
In fact, there’s some other young black women that could have as well, yes.
SPEAKER 03 :
So the fact that she happened to be white, was that reverse racism or something because they wouldn’t have complained? if it was Halle Berry, but they’re complaining because it’s a white woman?
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, and why certain companies choose certain people. Keep in mind, for all of you listening, and Joe, you know as much about this as I, that the way this works is, of course, a lot of these, it’s sort of like, for all of you listening, and this is something the left doesn’t understand, by the way, Joe, But this is a lot like an RFP in the construction. RFP means request for proposal. So what a lot of these commercial companies will do, or a lot of these companies will do, and the marketing company that’s running the commercial, by the way, that’s making the commercial, they will put out a request to a lot of different agents, if you would, saying, hey, we’ve got a commercial coming up. We’ve got this particular opening. This is what we’re looking for, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then, of course, all these different agents and their stars will apply for said gigs. And in this particular case, they must have chosen Sydney when it was all said and done because of who knows what. Joe, I don’t know. I wasn’t there. Don’t care. Bottom line is she was her choice.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right. And by the way, and you’re right, both my wife and I would have never seen the ad had it not been for the brouhaha. Me neither.
SPEAKER 12 :
Me neither. They made a bigger deal out of this and actually have generated more revenue and more awareness for American Eagle than if they would have just shut their yappers.
SPEAKER 03 :
And I was talking, and John, not just me, I was talking to a couple of guys at the gym. You know, these are guys in their 50s and 60s. And they all said the same thing. They knew nothing about the ad, but now they’ve all seen it. So, yeah, they’re getting – talk about an amplifier, a multiplier on the reach of that ad. It’s huge.
SPEAKER 12 :
It’s huge. I mean, Joe, I am guessing – I don’t have the figures in front of me, but I am guessing that what the left has done has most likely upped this ad by tenfold at least.

Well, you and me watch. I saw it on the evening. I saw it on the news or the morning news. But that wasn’t a paid for spot. That was simply a story. Right. So I think I’ve seen it since I woke up this morning, John. I think I’ve seen it four times. Wow.

Amazing. So, anyway, I’ve seen it’s popped up. And really quick, Joe, for what you’re saying, this is something that even our side at times needs to also remember and realize is depending upon what we’re, you know, barking at and chirping about, same thing can happen in reverse. That’s where we have to be careful sometimes as to what we’re barking about because we’re doing the same thing at times.

So again, that was not a topic, again, going back to what Joe said, not something I really was going to cover. I had many other things in my notes, but since Richard had brought that up, I thought, why not? Let’s go ahead and talk about that. And Yeah, they have made a lot more to do over that ad than they needed to. But that’s, you know, again, folks, that’s what the left does. And they will, as I’ve said, they will eat their own. They don’t care. I know I talk about that a lot and I mention it a lot, but it’s the truth. They will eat their own. They don’t care. I say it all the time and I mean it. They don’t care about people, even their own. They will turn on their own so quickly, chase them off, and we’ve got examples of that from Elon Musk to Tulsi Gabbard and so on. They literally will eat their own, and they don’t care. Now, speaking of another story that we talked about earlier in the week, this one I did cover, was the beating that was going on in Cincinnati whereby there were numerous individuals, one in particular, middle-aged white guy that was literally getting beat up. People were jumping on him, actually doing – wrestling moves on him and things like that literally were jumping up in the air and slamming right down on top of the guy with their elbow right into his face. I mean, how in the world this guy stood at the end of that, I am shocked. Had to be a pretty tough individual to take the beating that he did and then stand up at the end. But there were other people that were actually injured as well. One woman was knocked out. So this was a brawl, I guess you could say, that happened in Cincinnati. Well… Three, so far, three people have been arrested. By the way, there were a lot more than three involved, and this is something Charlie and I talk about all the time. Trust me, others will talk. They’ve got three so far. I was counting in the video the other day when we were watching it, and we were kind of doing it together on air here. I would venture to guess there were seven to ten people involved in that brawl, and it’ll be interesting to see if they end up getting all seven to ten. So far, three. Those three, I’m guessing, will be barking and talking as well, and they’ll end up finding more and more of these people. And my feeling on this is… Knowing the situation, knowing what was happening, and by the way, I should have mentioned this, the bond that has been set for these three individuals is in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. I believe one particular individual is at $500,000, one is at $100,000, and the other is $200,000 bond. Meaning, the guy with $500,000 bond, somebody has to fork over $50,000 to get him out. And they don’t get that back. 50 grand somebody has to pay to get him out, meaning he’s probably not getting out. The next one, of course, at 100,000 is 10 grand, and the other one at 200,000 is 20 grand. So I don’t know if any of those guys are actually going to get out. It depends on how deep of pockets they or family members or anybody has. That’s something that we don’t talk much about on this program, mainly because it doesn’t probably fit with a lot of our listeners, but most people don’t understand how bond works. Most people think that in this case it’s a $500,000 bond. Okay, 10% is typical, but you have to pay a bondsman. So the way that works is you either need $500,000 on your own that you can actually give to the court proving, showing that I’m going to show back up, and then they’ll let you out of jail. If you show back up, you get your $500,000 back. Now, most people don’t have 500 grand, so they go get a bail bondsman. This is how bail bondsmen make money, by the way. So they get a bail bondsman, and they pay 10% of the bond. And not everybody, by the way, is eligible for every bondsman, but a lot of bondsmen will look at this and say, okay, you know, I think you’re a decent risk. You pay me the 50 grand, and they put up the 500. And what people think is that, you know, if you show up for court, you get your 50 grand back. No, you don’t. No, you don’t. Nobody gets that back. That’s lost. It’s gone. You just burned it up on whatever friend or foe of yours you have that you just bonded out. You got out of jail. And there’s this misconception, I think, for a lot of people, including people on the right, that, you know, you pay the 50 grand and you get that back if you go to court. No, folks, you don’t. And what happens is when guys skip bond and you become, you know, dog the bounty hunter and these guys are out searching for that guy. Because guess what? They want their 500 grand back or their 450 in this case. Because they got 50. They’re out for 50. They want their 450 back. Because if the guy skips, it’s gone. They don’t get it back. That’s why these guys are out on the hunt to try to find these guys. There’s a lot of money involved in a lot of cases. So just a little instruction on how bailing out people works, because I don’t think most people really understand that, that even if you’ve got a $10,000 bond, you’ve got to fork over a grand to the bondsman, and that grand doesn’t come back. The only way you can do that and get all of your money back is if you want to front the money yourself. If you’ve got the ability to go get a second mortgage on your house, or you’ve got a line of credit, or whatever the case may be, but keep in mind that even in this case, that money is tied up until you actually go back to court and things are finalized. Then you’ll get your money back. In other words, depending upon the case, you might be out that money for a year. Depends on the case and what you’ve done. So just a side note, I don’t think most people really understand how bonding out works. And mainly because most of us never have to deal with it. I will be the first to admit, when I started this program 11, 12 years ago, I didn’t know how it worked. I just knew if you got into trouble and you needed a bond, you called the bail bondsman and off you went. I had no idea you never got that money back. I didn’t think about it because I never needed anything. Never been to jail. Don’t plan on going to jail. In fact, one of the things in my life, there’s two things that I have been taught over and over and over again from my dad at an early age. One, have a roof over your head. No matter what, have a roof over your head. Whatever that is, have a roof over your head. Number two, stay out of jail. That’s kind of two things I’ve, you know, now I’ve lived by other things as well, of course, through life. But those two things, and I think, Charlie, you would agree, two things that I’ve always wanted in life. One, a roof over my head. Two, don’t go to jail. Those are just things that I’ve lived by. And so far, so good. I hope I keep going down this path because I want a roof over my head and I don’t want that roof over my head to be jail. Let’s just say it that way. I don’t want to go to jail. To me, nothing sounds more miserable than going through that. I’m one of those. Charlie just did jury duty or didn’t have to go all the way through but was assigned and had to go through the process of being selected or not being selected not that long ago. All of us go through that from time to time. I’ll be the first to tell you, I don’t even like that. Anything around the courthouse, I don’t even like going to the DMV. For some reason, I just feel like, okay, where are the cuffs at? When are they coming? They’re coming after me, I know. I did something wrong, they’re coming after me. Every time I go into one of those buildings, that’s how you feel. Now, I get it. When you go in for jury duty, they instruct you that, hey, thank you for being here, we appreciate it, it’s your civic duty, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But I still feel like some way, somehow, I’m in trouble. Because I’m there. That’s my whole perception of court, jail, etc. I don’t want to be there. So I have done everything possible in my life to not end up there. I think a lot of you listening probably can relate and feel the same way. All right, Mile High Coin. Enough of that. Mile High Coin. All right, by the way, several of you texting in and agreeing with me on the whole court, DMV, getting your license plates, the whole nine yards. You guys hate it as much as I do. You all feel like somebody’s going to walk around the corner and cuff you and stuff you the minute you show up. And, yeah. i feel the same way so and i’m glad by the way that i’m not the only one that feels that way because every time i don’t even like driving by the places i’ll just be straight up honest i just i yeah not for me so others whatever fine uh some are really comfortable there uh yeah that that is not me never has been me don’t want it to be me so this particular hour this doesn’t necessarily fit in but i just i titled this particular topic total nonsense And this is something I read in Wired magazine. I get Apple News, and so there’s all sorts of conglomeration of news things that get fed in that I get to look at and so on. And this one I happened to read. It’s the first planned migration of an entire country that’s now underway. The Pacific Island nation of Tuvalu, I think I’m saying that right, T-U-V-A-L-U, Tuvalu, could be submerged in 25 years due to rising sea levels. So a plan is being implemented to relocate its population to Australia. And as I read through this whole article, I’m just thinking to myself, you people are absolute knuckleheads. Here’s where it starts out. Tuvalu is preparing to carry out the first planned migration of an entire country in response to the effect of climate change. Recent studies project that much of its territory could be submerged in the next 25 years due to rising sea levels, forcing its inhabitants to consider migration as an urgent survival measure. The island in Oceania is made up of nine coral islands and atolls inhabited by just over 11,000 people. The average altitude is just two meters above sea level. They already have, you know, flooding and storm surges and so on, which, again, okay, yeah, you’re two meters above sea level. Of course you’re going to have some of that. But here’s the kicker. Here’s the kicker. I’ve got to find this. Right here, it’s next. A study by NASA’s Sea Level Change Team Interesting, we actually have a sea change team out there, revealed that in 2023, two years ago, the sea level of Tuvalu was 15, count it, 15 centimeters. Higher than average. 15 centimeters. Now, I haven’t done the math on centimeters to inches because we here in America, we do things differently, as you guys know. We… We don’t use that system. And by the way, I’m glad we don’t because I hate the metric system. So all in all, I just did the conversion on this. That’s about six inches. Six inches. Now, here’s the other thing you have to ask. When and how did they do all of these measurements? And by the way, this measurement they claim is an average over the previous 30 years. So six inches in 30 years. But then you have to say, OK, well, where was it prior to that? Was anybody measuring? Was it higher yet back 40 years ago, 50 years ago, or did we just start measuring 30 years ago? And where are you measuring, by the way? How do we know for sure that it’s exactly these 15 centimeters or 6 inches? And, again, that information isn’t in here, but they claim that if things keep going the way they’re going, that by 2050 this thing will be underwater. Well, I think that’s debatable at best, by the way. Here’s my prediction. They’re going to export X amount of these people to Australia. Australia has agreed to take so many of these people every single year. And here’s my prediction. They’ll all be able to go visit the homeland all the way up to 100 years from now. It ain’t going to change. And again, I won’t be here 100 years from now. Will I be here in 2050? Well, I hope so. I think most of them could probably even go back in 2050 and visit their homeland. Reality is they’re not rising. This is nothing more than another scare tactic from the left to get people to believe and buy into something that’s just not true. So you’ll spend more money, be taxed on things that you don’t need to be taxed for, get your wind and solar and all that crap handled. This is where this comes from, and it’s just not true. I would like to see the actual study, the real data, which, by the way, isn’t linked in here, oddly enough. I’d like to see the actual data to know exactly how they came up with this figure in that particular area. Because I’m guessing that that probably doesn’t exist in the way that we think. That’s my thought. And the reason I say that is because I’ve been going to some ocean places, you know, places on the ocean for at least the last 30 years that I’ve seen literally no change in. None. None whatsoever. So if the sea level is rising there, wouldn’t it be rising everywhere? And unless there’s something that I’m missing, if the sea level is rising in one place, shouldn’t it be rising that same six inches everywhere else? And the reality is it’s not. And we all know that. You guys that are listening, I don’t have to tell you anything along these lines. You guys all know that. Those that are on the left, though, they don’t understand that. Speaking of the left, somebody actually texted in and said the biggest reason why the left is mad at Sidney Sweeney is because she’s white, hot, good-looking, young, all of that. I would agree with that, by the way, because if you look at most of the women that are on the left, they’re not. Sorry, they’re not. My wife and I will do, maybe this is so wrong, but we do this. We people watch a lot. We’ll be sitting someplace, airport, wherever, and you just kind of people watch. And there’s times where we’ll say things like R or D, Republican or Democrat, just as people walk by. I can usually pick out those that are. Now, I’m not always right because sometimes I’ll be way off. In fact, sometimes I’ll look at somebody and I’ll have my own impression for them. And you start talking about things in politics and so on. And before you know it, they’re on your side. And I’ll be like, I never picked that one out. Never would have guessed that one. And sometimes I’ll do the opposite. I’ll look at somebody and think, yeah, I’m guessing that person’s pretty conservative. You start talking to them a little bit, and it’s like, yeah, no, they’re not. So I’m not always right. Sometimes I can be very deceived. But typically, I would say probably 80%, 85% of the time, I could pick somebody out of a crowd and pretty much tell you what side of the aisle they come from just by how they look. Their facial expressions. Are they angry all the time? I mean, no offense. Liberals are miserable. Literally, they are miserable. Most of their ladies will have RBF. If you don’t know what that is, go look it up. And literally, they have RBF to the max. whereby you just look at them as like, okay, yeah, I know what side of the aisle you’re coming from. You’re a miserable human being. Now, that doesn’t mean that we don’t have people on the right that are that same way. We do. We do. I see some of those as well. But in general, most miserable people, and I think Andy would agree with me on this one, most miserable people are on the left because it just generates that. It creates misery. It’s the NFL. It’s the no fun league. So whoever texted me that, yeah, I believe you are 100% correct on that. That was an article, by the way. I think it was in Fox News as well talking about that. But, yeah, at the end of the day, they are mad because she’s young, she’s hot, she’s got blonde hair, blue eyes, all of that. By the way, it doesn’t matter. And I don’t know where her stance is. As I said earlier, I don’t know where she comes from politically, which, you know, that’s a good thing because even if she’s on the left, I wouldn’t know that because I don’t see anything about that. I don’t see her talking about her politics, which good for her. Even if she is on the left, don’t talk about it. Like Tom Cruise and some of the others that Andy and I talk about. So reading through a few things, Charlie, and we’re even talking through the break there, that she’s been accused of being quote-unquote conservative in the past, although she kind of has shot some of those things down, i.e. why would anyone care in the first place, things along those lines. I guess there was a family photo at one point where there were some folks in the photo with red hats on. You couldn’t see what the hat actually said. But then, of course, the left erupts claiming those had to have been MAGA hats and so on. And her response was, hey, why do you care? By the way, good for her. That’s the right answer. She doesn’t need to defend anybody that was there wearing anything. Her answer of why would you care is the right answer, by the way. I mean, the more and more I read about her and hear about some of these things, the more I actually like her because that’s the correct. And by the way, even if she’s a flaming liberal, still the right answer. Who cares at the end of the day? Now, I don’t know where she stands. And again, I think that’s the best thing about this is you don’t know where she stands. And that’s the way every actor, actress in Hollywood should behave is you don’t know where I stand because it’s not affecting the performance and the product that I’m giving you as a fan. Andy and I talk about that a lot. That is the right approach. If the rest of those knuckleheads there could learn that, they’d be in a lot better shape at the end of the day.
