Okay, Richard, to open up, my Green Bay Packers are 7.5-point favorites. They’re on the road at the Cleveland Browns, who have been struggling. Will the Packers learn from the Bills’ sleepwalking against Miami last night? Yes. Yes.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yes, Andy. What’s the line on this, Andy? Because that’s a better question to me, to be honest with you.
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, the line is 7.5, and the reason is Cleveland’s defense, their defensive front has been formidable. It’s really good. Yeah, and they’ve held teams to one of the best, lowest yards per carry in the league. I don’t think Green Bay’s going to run the ball well. I think Green Bay’s going to struggle, but I don’t like Cleveland’s offense at all.
SPEAKER 16 :
Nope, I’m with you, Andy. Well, again, we talked about this last week, right? They should go to – if Dylan Gabriel should do it or whatever it is, as much as I like Flacco and I actually think he’s a decent bridge quarterback for a team when you’re the Browns, you’ve got to figure out what you have with these young guys. And they’re not doing that. And I know you talked about, okay, they probably will by week four, week five. Well – To me, that’s a few extra weeks that you can kind of figure out what you’ve got, in my opinion. But your Packers should have no issues, Andy. You’re not super far of a travel for the game. I know that you’ve got some banged-up receivers. I think Jaden Reed is out, if I’m not mistaken, or maybe he’ll play.
SPEAKER 11 :
No, he’s out for eight weeks.
SPEAKER 16 :
Okay, so yeah, that’s right. Broken collarbone, right, if I’m correct?
SPEAKER 11 :
Yes, sir.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yes, you know, Andy, as much as that, this should be a good tune-up game for the Packers. They are the team, Andy, and I’ll say it now, and I know you’re probably going to say it’s too early because you’re a fan, and if you said this about the Broncos, I’d be saying the same thing. They need to be taking each game to fix issues and correct. I’m not saying they should take a team lightly, but they should just kind of continue to improve off of every game, right? Every opportunity they get, you know, work out those kinks, figure out does this work, does it not work, make the playoffs, and then you make your run, right? They just need to keep on that upward trajectory and hit their peak in the playoffs, and then continue and hopefully win the Super Bowl. So obviously I’m going to take the Packers here. It may be a little bit closer for most of the game, Andy, but I actually ultimately think the Packers will end up covering and they’ll pull it out.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, I agree. I see the Packers struggling in the first half. I think they’re going to look past them. and then putting it together in the second half. Next game, the Colts are playing the Titans. Now, the Broncos have faced both these teams in the first two weeks. Colts are favored by four and a half, although the game is in Tennessee. What do you think? Are the Colts an easy pick on the road?
SPEAKER 16 :
They feel like they are. I mean, obviously watching them last week, although I don’t love their defense, Andy. I know that they’re an opportunistic defense. Their offense, I think, is solid. And I think actually Shane Steichen, What impressed me last week, Andy, wasn’t as much Daniel Jones as it was their offensive line that’s really, really good. And Shane Steichen is just a really good, I actually think he’s a really good offensive line. And if you actually go back through his past stops, I think that sort of proves it, which we don’t have time to do right now. However, I actually think the Titans are going to be a competitive team most of the year. With that being said, I’m going to take the Colts. I just don’t quite think that the Titans have it. And it’s a divisional game, which is hard to really plan for if you’re a rookie. Lots of things you have to get used to. So I’ll go with the Colts on the road.
SPEAKER 11 :
Okay, I’ll take the Colts too. And by the way, the Colts have a pretty good running back. That doesn’t hurt either. Okay, here we go. Got the Bengals are at the Vikings. Vikings favored by two and a half, but this is a battle of backup quarterbacks. Is this really about the rest of the rosters though? Not the quarterbacks. What do you think?
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, Andy, it is. I mean, again, J.J. McCarthy already hurt with an ankle sprain. Different conversation there. And obviously the Bengals, which we talked about this last week. We didn’t anticipate this happening, Andy. But my goodness, we’ll see how the Bengals are. They may get that boost and that bump, Andy. But the Vikings, it’s not Wentz isn’t their guy, is he? Yeah, I think it is. I think it is. And honestly, Andy, I actually think Wentz is a really good quarterback for Kevin O’Connell in that team. And obviously, you’re talking about good offensive coaches. That’s who I think it is. So I’m going to go with the Vikings here at home, Andy. I think that they have a better roster than the Bengals as a whole. Granted, I think the Bengals probably have a better… maybe some skill positions, although obviously the Vikings got their own fair share of talent. So I’m just going to go with the better, who I think is the better coach here, and I’ll go with the Vikings.

Yeah, I’m going to take the Vikings. I just think they’re more talented. I don’t think two and a half is enough, in fact. Okay, next game. Interesting game. The Steelers are favored by one and a half on the road at the Patriots. Now, the quarterbacks are going to be the story here, but are either of these teams any good? I mean, really, are the teams good?
SPEAKER 16 :
Are the teams good? I like how you said, really, are the teams good? I think the Patriots are on the right track, Andy.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, I like what they’re building, but they’re not there, are they?
SPEAKER 16 :
No, I don’t think they’re there yet, Andy, but I also don’t think that the Steelers are as bad as they were there. I think they’re kind of more to the middle. No, the Patriots aren’t there yet. They’re improving. They will continue, but they’re going to have their ups and downs, but I think Vrabel will get them on the right track. I’m going to go with just a more seasoned team here, Andy. I think this game will probably be relatively close, which is what the line indicates, but I’ll go with the Steelers on the road over the Patriots.

Yeah, we’re four for four. That’s who I’m taking to. Okay, the next game, I think this is the game of the week, Richard. You’ve got the Rams at the Eagles. Eagles favored by three and a half. But the Rams, they’ve looked hotter so far. But then again, who have they played? What do you think?
SPEAKER 16 :
You know, Andy, I was just going to say that the Eagles, granted they are 2-0, and they beat the lowly Cowboys, they beat the Chiefs last week, although… They did not play overly great, to be honest with you, last week. They struggled a little bit more with that Chiefs team than I thought. And by the way, Andy, my prediction did come true, which is, you know, if I was going to pick against the Chiefs or I was going to pick the Chiefs with the hope that they lost, too. And it worked. It worked. Yeah, Andy, I’m with you. Game of the week. I don’t know why this game isn’t in the afternoon window, but that’s it. stupid Dallas question, which we’ll get to that here in a second. Yeah, Andy, I think the Rams are really good. I’m actually going to take the Rams on the road here. I just think the Eagles are, I don’t want to say they’re sleepwalking through the first part of this schedule, but they just haven’t looked overly dominant yet. So the Rams, I think, are hotter. Their defense is playing really, really well right now, and Matt Stafford looks like he has at least another few years of really good football left in him.
SPEAKER 11 :
Oh, man, I was going to take the Rams, too, but we’ve been the same on every single game, and I know we’re going to be for a while. I’m going to switch and take the Eagles so we can be different.
SPEAKER 16 :
I like it. You’ll probably be right, Andy, so I understand.
SPEAKER 11 :
Somehow I doubt that on this one. Okay, the next game, the Jets, and they’re struggling. They’re on the road at the Buccaneers. Buccaneers favored by 6.5. Question is, 6.5 enough? I mean, what do the Jets really have? They’ve got a fast defense, but I don’t see much else.
SPEAKER 16 :
oh yeah andy well and it’s because justin justin field is out right i think he is in fact i think there are like five backups starting this week yeah it’s it’s all i think he’s in the concussion protocol i doubt he plays the buccaneers are the upstart baker you’ll kind of will them back last week andy again i think and actually i like the jets and i like their new coach i just think that You want to talk about a snake-bitten franchise, man. I mean, whatever they sold their soul for for Super Bowl, was that one or two? Like, my gosh, you think they would maybe want to get that back and win some more Super Bowls more recently. Yeah, Andy, I like this. They’re going to Florida. It’s going to be nice and warm down there. I like Baker. I like the Buccaneers, especially in that division. So, yeah, I’m going to take the Bucs at home. And I think they actually probably cover about a touchdown spread, if I’m not mistaken.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, I take the Bucs as well. I agree. Next game, pretty good game here. The Raiders are on the road at the Commanders. Now, you would think the Commanders would kill them, but they’re only favored by three and a half. Can Washington bounce back from humiliation after their Week 2 defeat?
SPEAKER 16 :
Um… Jaden Daniels is out, Andy, I believe. I don’t know if they confirmed that today or not. Oh, he is? I think so. Ooh. Okay. Hold on. I’m going to pull it up as I’m talking here to see, and I don’t know. Yeah, I mean, I don’t know. To me, if Daniels is out, it’s really not a good… Well, actually, here, I’m going to pull it up, Andy. Yeah, yeah. Brain left knee, did not practice, and I don’t think he practiced. It’s status iffy. So let’s do a caveat here, Andy, so we don’t take up too much air time. If Jaden Daniels plays, I think even though he’s hurt, I think the Commanders win. If he doesn’t play, I don’t even know who their backup is, to be honest with you. I think the Raiders are going to look to get back in the winning column. Pete Carroll, the only thing that makes me nervous, Andy, regardless, is the Raiders, a West Coast team traveling to the East Coast for an early kickoff.
SPEAKER 11 :

Doesn’t bode well. But, again, if Jaden Daniels isn’t going to play, then I’m going to go with the Raiders. I think this is a low-scoring game, Andy. Probably decided by a field goal in the end.

Yeah, I totally agree. I’m going with you here because if Daniels plays, I think they win. If he doesn’t, I think they lose. Next game, the Falcons, the Atlanta Falcons, who demolished… minnesota in the trenches okay and i mean demolish them on both sides of the line they’re favored by five and a half going in against the low lowly panthers here’s my question after dominating minnesota in the trenches that was something to see are the falcons becoming a sleeper contender um no okay okay yeah and i’m not sold on them yet what a pummeling i’m not i mean
SPEAKER 16 :
Just to me, Pennix, I haven’t seen enough yet, even in that game against, and I’m with you, they did dominate, and they played really well there. I just haven’t seen enough. Now, saying that divisional game, Panthers, actually, you know what, Andy, I’m going to go with the Panthers at home here, only because I like what Bryce Young has been doing, and I think he’ll continue upwards, and I think Pennix is due for a little bit of a Well, not coming back to reality, but a little bit of a regression. So that’s my only reasoning.
SPEAKER 11 :
Okay, well, I agree. Bryce has looked really good, and I also agree. Penix is not ready to make his team a contender. But I’m going to take the Falcons because, boy, they look tough. And I’ll just give them that. Next game, the Texans are favored by one and a half points against the Jaguars in Jacksonville. Richard, does any NFL coach get less out of his team’s talent than Houston’s D’Amico Ryans? I mean, this guy started off great. Now he’s been awful. If he loses this game, how thin is the ice beneath him?
SPEAKER 16 :
I feel like it should be pretty thin, Andy, considering how he started and they sort of gave him a pass last year. But I think they’ll give him the whole season. And, man, you want to talk about it. He was a finalist here for the Broncos, and we ultimately took Sean Payton. And we’ll see, obviously, how that plays out the rest of the season.
SPEAKER 14 :

SPEAKER 16 :
Well, it does. CJ Stratton needs to get on track, Andy. I mean, I know we kind of gave him a pass for his sophomore year. You know, defenses have more tape on you, all those sorts of things. I agree. They got to get it figured out. And the Jaguars, we’ll see with, I think, Liam Cohen, right? You know, the new head coach there. Trevor Lawrence looking pretty good. I mean, he’s kind of about an average quarterback right now, but… They actually have some talent down there in Jacksonville, Andy. So I’m going to go with Jax here, Andy, just because I don’t trust the Texans. And, man, if they fall to an 0-3 hole, that’s going to be tough to dig out of.
SPEAKER 11 :
No, I’m with you. I’m going with Jacksonville as well. I like their quarterback. I just think he’s on a pretty bad team. But I think the Texans are a mess. I really do. So we’ll both take Jacksonville. Next game, your game. And this is the other game of the week. The Broncos are on the road at the Chargers. Chargers favored by two and a half. So basically, it’s an even game. They get the home advantage. Are the Chargers for real? Can Denver’s defense shut down Herbert?
SPEAKER 16 :
I think the Chargers are your prototypical Jim Harbaugh team, Andy, which is just solid, just a gritty team. I think that Herbert is obviously the best quarterback that Harbaugh’s ever had outside of Andrew Luck at Stanford. And so the question is, does he continue to unleash him or does he start to pull back the reins a little bit? I think it’s going to be a hard-fought game, Andy. I’m going to take the Chargers at home here. And partially because if I’m wrong, then it’s still a good thing. Kind of my logic for the Chiefs last week, Andy, where if I pick the Chargers and this doesn’t come to fruition, I won’t be too upset because my Broncos will win. I just am not sold yet, Andy. I think Sean Payton… Until he commits to the run game more, I think we’re going to struggle. And Bo is the type of quarterback where he does need a strong running game, at least at this point in his career. He still needs that help and that influence, especially for play action and some of the other things. So I’m going to go with the Chargers at home, Andy. I do think it’s close, but the Chargers, man, a rare first three games of the season, all in division. I think they’re going to start 3-0 in the division, which gives a massive, massive leg up on not only the division, but the rest of the AFC.
SPEAKER 11 :
You know, I agree. I’m going to take the Chargers narrowly, but let me just give you my opinion. I think this is one of the best coached games of the week. I really do. I like both coaches a lot. I like what Peyton’s doing. I think you guys have been a little snake bit. I think you had a terrible call against you last week. I like what Sean Peyton’s doing. I think you’re just going to get better and better. But I’ll take the Chargers next game. The Saints are on the road against the Seahawks. Seahawks, who are a bad team, are actually favored by 7.5. Anyone who thinks the salary cap means nothing needs to look at the Saints over the past couple years.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, well, that’s a whole different conversation. But you are correct. You’re seeing what happened to Deshaun Payton and some of his cap management with the GM that I’m not sure if Mickey Loomis knew what he was doing or maybe he did. But, yeah, and then the Seahawks, I think, are a well-run team. I think they’re a well-coached team. Again, the Saints are just – and that team that’s in the – in the conversation for the first overall pick already, Andy. So I’m going to go with the Seahawks at home. I don’t think it’s much of a pick. I don’t even think that the Seahawks are that much better than the Saints. I just think this, or sorry, are a much better team. I just think the Saints are so bad, Andy. I just don’t see how the Seahawks lose, to be honest with you.

Okay, in that case, I got to ask you, okay, if the Saints get the number one pick, you know where I’m going with this. They picked Archie Manning back in the day. Could they pick Arch Manning?
SPEAKER 16 :
I don’t think, well, and Andy, the way Arch is going at this point in time, he’s being booed by Texas. So I don’t think that there’s anything, you know, for him to do at that point in time. And 1,000% honesty, I truly, I think he stays, and that’s what his grandpa has said. So, yeah, honestly, if the Saints get the first overall pick, Andy, who knows? Because they may be in the same boat that they were in.
SPEAKER 11 :
You make a very good point. Okay, next game, the Cowboys are favored by one and a half at the Bears. All I’m going to say is this. This is two teams we can’t trust in a game we can’t predict. So good luck.

Yeah, and the window that it shouldn’t be with the number one broadcasting crew and a whole different conversation of Tom Brady being all sorts of things, Andy. I actually like the Bears, Andy, only because they’re at home, and I think Caleb Williams has made some progress with Ben Johnson. I think this is the week he puts it together. I think it’s a high-scoring affair. I think it’s like a 31-28 type of a game, and I’ll go with Chicago at home.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, I’m going to take the home team, too. I’ll go with the Bears. Next game, we’ve got the Cardinals are at the 49ers. 49ers are favored by 2.5. Both of these teams are undefeated, but they haven’t played anybody.
SPEAKER 16 :
They haven’t, Andy, and you’ve got a Mac Jones game again.
SPEAKER 11 :
That’s true. That’s a good point.
SPEAKER 16 :
Brock Purdy’s out for another week, and Mac Jones actually played pretty well last week. I’m with you, Andy. Neither of these teams have played anyone of substance or anyone at all. So first divisional game for both of them. I believe the Niners are at home here, Andy. I think that gives them the edge. I’m not sold on the Cardinals, especially being 2-0. I like the Niners. Man, that team just has some bad injury luck or maybe some bad training staff. So I’m going to go with the Niners here, Andy. At home, Mac Jones gets his second win for Kyle Shanahan.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, I’m not a believer in either team, honestly. I’ll take the Niners as well. Oh, boy, the next game, the Chiefs, they look awful. They’re still favored by 6.5 on the road at the Giants. But is this really a sure thing with how tough the Giants have played and how bad that Chiefs offense looks?
SPEAKER 16 :
Yes, Andy, I’m going to do my same logic that I did for the Broncos and that I did for the Chiefs last week against. And that is going to be that I hope that this is the opposite of this. I just don’t think the Giants are very good, Andy. And I think that the Chiefs are bound at some point in time to figure it out. I just can’t see the Chiefs going 0-3. Like, I mean, I didn’t think they would go 0-2 last week, to be honest with you. But I have a really hard time thinking they go 0-3. They just have too much pride, too much at stake on the road. I think they’re going to try to put on a show for the national audience. We’ll see if they do, but I’m going to take the Chiefs here, Andy.
SPEAKER 11 :
I agree, although I’m going to say, Richard, I think the Chiefs are done as a contender, and I want to ask you personally, how many more losses before you stop caring about them as, you know… a team you want to hate?
SPEAKER 16 :
Andy, for that witch that is Patrick Mahomes, it’s never too many. The only time I will stop worrying is when they are officially eliminated from the playoffs, and I don’t think that’s going to happen, so I will always be worried. Because, Andy, they could start out 0-5. and who knows, rip off 11 or 12 straight wins, and then they’re right there in the thick of it, and then, man, what a disaster that would be. So never give in, Andy.
SPEAKER 11 :
Never give in. Okay, one last game, and this is going to be a fun one. The Lions, Detroit Lions, are on the road at the Baltimore Ravens. Ravens are favored by 4.5, but here’s the question. Does the first defense to get a stop win the game?
SPEAKER 16 :
Yes, Andy, you’ve got some two really good offenses. Although, we’ll see, Andy, because the Lions are playing a really good defense in the Ravens. But we’ll see, Andy, does Derrick Henry come back from some fumble issues that he’s starting to have, which is intriguing. But I’m going to go with the – you know, actually, Andy, I was going to take the Ravens here. I’m going to take the Lions in the upset just because I don’t like the Ravens. There’s literally no other reason other than that.
SPEAKER 11 :
Do you think Derek is – I’m going to take – I’ll take the Ravens just to split with you, but I also – I kind of think – I don’t know. I think both teams are just going to keep scoring. They might still be scoring when the game is over, okay? But do you think Derek’s starting to show his age with these fumbles?
SPEAKER 16 :
I hope not, Andy, because usually you see loss of speed and other stuff, and based on week one and week two, I haven’t seen that. But I guess getting sloppy with the football could be that way. I hope it’s not the case, but we’ll see.

Remember the Titans is. It’s just so good. It teaches so many good things. Yes, the story is embellished for the movies and all of that stuff. But at the end of the day, it’s still fantastic. Well, I think a savings account is important because all the financial gurus, including myself, agree you should have three to six months savings that you have ready liquid access to. But retirement planning is a bit more long term and it’s a bit more strategic. We want to take a look at the sum of money you’ll need way into the future. And we want to look at how that money can last by providing you income for as long as you live.

What kind of planning or strategy do you provide for folks with that that have a big savings but haven’t made that next step?

Well, that’s a good question. If someone has a large amount in savings, one of the things I do is we have a conversation about their risk tolerance. Nobody’s comfortable losing money, but having money in the market over a long period of time is a mechanism to accumulate wealth. And so we talk about this different levels of risk and the different products that are available. And we don’t put everybody into one box, but I have an enormous assortment of financial products. And it’s not that there’s good ones or bad ones. It’s there are some that are more appropriate for some people, but not for others.

I mean, just. one after the other after the other, and obviously Floyd ended up playing for the Broncos.
