Mike Gallagher broadcasts live from Phoenix to bring listeners inside the historic Charlie Kirk Memorial at State Farm Stadium. With over 200,000 attendees, this wasn’t a funeral—it was a revival. Gallagher shares clips from pastors, political leaders, and cultural voices including Tucker Carlson, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump, Benny Johnson, Tulsi Gabbard, and Erica Kirk, Charlie’s widow. From moments of grief to calls for revival, the service became a cathedral of worship and a testament to Kirk’s legacy. Gallagher recounts the unforgettable experience, weaving in reflections, personal encounters, and messages of faith, freedom, and

This is a special edition of the Mike Gallagher Show. The Charlie Kirk Memorial is a special edition of the Mike. Here’s Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 02 :
Welcome to Phoenix. I’m glad you’re here for what is indeed a very special edition of our show. Yesterday was the Charlie Kirk Memorial. And what a day. What an experience. And what a time for our country. This was historic. And I’m going to do something a little different today. You know that we have a caller-driven show. You know how much I appreciate your voice. I do want to hear your voice and see your voice on our text line. Feel free to text us with your feedback, with your comments at 800-655-MIKE. But today, I want to do my best. And we haven’t done this before. We haven’t even actually timed it all out. But Eric and Tracy and Christian and Alex and Dan and Joey, we’ve all been kind of working to figure out how best to represent yesterday’s Charlie Kirk memorial service. I can honestly tell you that in my 65 years on this planet, I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I could go on and on about how we almost didn’t get in because when you have a couple hundred thousand people show up at 5 or 6 in the morning, you got issues. I could talk about the complicated ticket process that the miracle of miracles came because we got our emailed barcode at the last second because they had an enormous technical challenge over at Turning Point. I will tell you that for Turning Point USA, and the U.S. Secret Service to put this together in seven days was nothing short of miraculous. It’s typical vintage Charlie Kirk, because Charlie excelled at these kind of events all over the country, all over the world. And so here’s what we’re doing today. I want to play a snippet of every single speaker. And there were a lot. I mean, the service lasted five hours. And it was worth every minute. I’m so honored and blessed to have been there. And I consider it an honor and a privilege to get to share it all with you here on the Mike Gallagher Show in Phoenix. And a quick note, a big thank you to our friends here at 960 The Patriot. My goodness, David Dahl doing a great job with the transportation in and out. Even got me a Diet Coke. in the middle of the service, which was very hard to come by with all those people. But Mark Durkin has a team here that is just extraordinary, and Jeremy and everybody. I hope I’m not leaving anybody out, but they have an amazing team here, and we’re in their studios right now, and I just am so grateful for the hospitality that they provided. And it was a team effort. We had the bosses here. We had Dave Santrella, the CEO of Salem Media Group, Phil Boyce, vice president of Our Spoken Word, and my dear mentor who I’ve worked with for many, many years and worked for for many years. So this was just a – and, of course, I’m with my colleagues, Larry Elder. you know, my dear friend and colleague, Larry Elder. You ought to walk through an arena with Larry. Oh, boy. Now, a lot of people said hi to me, too, and I appreciate that. Good for the soul. Nice for the ego. But you get humbled if you’re a broadcaster and you’re walking through a crowded stadium with Larry. Because the great Elderski, oh, boy. And he is as gracious and kind and patient. There were people giving him his cell phone numbers, and they wanted his number. And he and Nina were just gracious and patient and wonderful. And incidentally, the Salem News Channel team, we carried this yesterday live on Salem News Channel. Willie Nelson, yes, that’s his real name. Willie Nelson with us here, and he is just a remarkable talent. And I know that the whole team, Garrett and Adam and everybody, worked around the clock to make sure that they delivered the coverage to you perfectly. And they did. So just honored and proud to be part of that team. Let’s go. I want to start with Pastor Rob McCoy. Now, Pastor Rob McCoy is Charlie’s pastor. He pastors the church that Charlie attends. attended he’s the co-chair of turning point faith and he made no make no bones about it when you showed up yesterday at the state farm stadium you weren’t there for a funeral you were there for a spiritual revival the bible says that when one sinner gives their heart to the lord the angels in heaven rejoice and i gotta tell you there’s one up there right now charlie kirk he’s stoked and he’s excited about your commitment to his savior
SPEAKER 06 :
For this remaining moment, if you’ve given your heart to the Lord and someone is seated next to you, I want that person who’s a believer to stand and pray with you. And please, up on the screen, I want you to take a picture of this QR code. We are going to give you everything you need to walk this walk with Christ. Faith comes from hearing and hearing from the Word of God, and it’s time to get into a Bible-believing church. And pastors, if you didn’t want to give Charlie Kirk the time of day, these folks are going to be showing up at your church, and they’re there because of his life. God bless you, and may the Lord keep you. Amen.
SPEAKER 02 :
That set the tone for the whole day. And it was like that. Sure, there were political figures there, but you knew that State Farm Stadium turned into a cathedral. It was a church. It was a house of worship, just the way Charlie would have wanted it. On Friday, we went over – Eric Hansen and I, who’s with me here in Phoenix, went to the Turning Point USA headquarters along with Mark Durkin, and we talked to people there. In fact, I met Benny Johnson for the first time and interviewed Benny. He spoke yesterday as well. He’s the great conservative influencer on social media. He’s got a big following. But while we were there, we saw that one of the buildings is the Bill – and Rebecca Dunn facility, obviously big donors to Turning Point. And Rebecca Dunn, who obviously cherished Charlie, shared her whole experience because the Dunns were among the first donors to ever provide financial support to this huge, massive high school and college outreach program, Turning Point USA. Here’s Rebecca Dunn.
SPEAKER 01 :
Shortly before I met Charlie, I had become very discouraged about the atmosphere in our country. I even suggested to my husband that maybe we should stop trying. It seemed that the money and time we were giving to freedom causes did not seem to be making a difference. Bill asked me to read an article by Larry Reed. The essence of the article said this. If we truly believed in freedom, we must never stop trying to preserve it. We had a moral obligation to fight for freedom. And as long as there is a breath in our bodies, we must fight.
SPEAKER 02 :
Of course, Hillsdale College is a great friend of the Salem community, and the president of Hillsdale, Larry Arnn, had some great words for the hundreds of thousands of people. Remember, over 200,000 people showed up, 60,000-plus in the stadium, another 40,000-plus over in the hockey arena, which is really the overflow. Here’s Dr. Larry Arnn from Hillsdale.
SPEAKER 09 :
You know, a good thing is a thing that has being. An assassin is not a thing that has being. The assassin must give up his humanity to destroy something that has being. Charlie lives on. The assassin will die.
SPEAKER 02 :
Wow. Wow. Now, I mentioned Pastor McCoy, Charlie’s pastor, but there’s a real connection from the Kirk family to the McCoy family because Mikey McCoy is Pastor McCoy’s son. Mikey served as chief of staff to Charlie Kirk. And I would argue, you know, people are saying, who’s going to be the next Charlie Kirk? There’ll never be another Charlie Kirk person. But I was so encouraged and inspired to see a whole bunch of young people stepping up. And, of course, Andrew Colvett, you’ll hear from him as well. He was sort of Charlie’s right-hand man, his spokesman. But Mikey was his chief of staff. And, my gosh, was he energetic and just electrifying with his comments, knowing, of course, how close he was to Charlie. And his heart is broken over his boss’s death. Here’s Mikey McCoy’s comments.
SPEAKER 13 :
Charlie’s assassin thought that he could steal and silence his voice by putting a bullet in his neck. In the words of Soren Kiergaard, the tyrant dies and his rule is over. The martyr dies and his rule has just begun. Thank you. Charlie was not silenced. His movement is only beginning. The voices of millions globally have been awakened, furthering his cause and mission far beyond anyone’s comprehension. We won’t cower in fear. We will never surrender. We are resolved to live free from lies and seek out what is true. We will respectfully, boldly challenge what is accepted by culture in order to seek out what is true and acceptable to God Almighty alone.
SPEAKER 02 :
Wow. Those are some of the moments, and I want to share all of them with you. And our goal here at the Mike Gallagher Show today, on this Monday after the service, is to let you get little snippets of every single speaker there, including the president, the vice president, and perhaps most importantly, his widow, Erica Kirk, the new CEO of Turning Point USA. Our special coverage here in the Relief Factor studios today. The Charlie Kirk Memorial continues from Phoenix. Ph.D. weight loss has changed my life, and I’ve got a little secret for you. You know Big Pharma and semaglutide and the shots in the belly. You’ve seen the story recently about the study that shows that a lot of people that are getting this are going blind. You don’t want to do this. You want a program to lose weight that’s centered around science and nutrition, a proven roadmap that has helped over 8,000 clients lose weight and keep it off, like me. I lost 53 pounds a few years ago and I’ve kept it off. I know what to eat and when. I know how to quiet any of the cravings I might get and finally release that unhealthy belly fat that I carried along for so long. Make the phone call that can change your life in the way it changed mine. It’s called PhD Weight Loss. PhD Weight Loss, Dr. Ashley Lucas’ program is brilliant. And how do I know? Well, 53 pounds later, here I am. 864-644-1900 is their number. Call and schedule your consultation. You can do this program from anywhere in America. SPEAKER 05 :
This is a special edition of The Mike Gallagher Show. The Charlie Kirk Memorial. And now, from Phoenix, here’s Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 02 :
Being here in Phoenix is one of the most significant, profound events of my life. I’m so honored that we got to attend the service in person yesterday at State Farm Stadium. Over 200,000 people converged upon two arenas. They had about 65,000, 70,000, I think, in the arena where the memorial service took place. They had over 40,000 in the hockey arena. That was the overflow. And it wasn’t a funeral. It wasn’t even a typical traditional memorial service. It was a worship service. It was church. It was converting a sports stadium into a cathedral. And it was just incredible. My goal today is to play as many clips for you from the speakers as possible. And there were a lot of speakers. It was a long program. It was over five hours, culminating with President Trump and Erica Kirk on the stage. And the attendees… was kind of a who’s who of conservative influencers. One of perhaps America’s most popular is Benny Johnson. Benny has a very popular social media and digital presence. He’s got a podcast. In fact, funny story, flying from Tampa to Phoenix, I saw Benny on the plane with his wife and one of his little kids, a little baby under his arm. And he switched seats with a guy who happened to be Jim Holden, a man that was very kind to me. And he reached out and he said, I love your flag pin. As you see always on Salem News Channel, I wear an American flag, Israel flag lapel pin every day. And this gentleman explained he has one too. And he goes, I’m a board member at the Turning Point Endowment. and introduced himself to me as Jim Holden. And, of course, I introduced myself to him, and we talked about Charlie and this, you know, incredible, awful thing that happened to him and where Turning Point goes from here. Well, Benny, when he got on the plane, didn’t have seats with his wife. So he asked Jim, unbeknownst to Benny, he was asking the Turning Point board member to switch seats, and Jim didn’t recognize Benny. So I told them both. I said, look, I want you later after the fact. So anyway, Friday we headed over to the Turning Point USA headquarters where I have visited before. My dear friend Tom Sudeika, who’s one of the original founding board members of Turning Point and one of Charlie’s mentors, gave me a tour years ago of Turning Point and the beautiful facility over there. Wow, is it incredible. And there’s a massive shrine right now outside the Turning Point USA headquarters. Thousands of flowers and flowers. flags and messages and balloons. And I ran into Benny Johnson outside the Turning Point headquarters on Friday and had a chance to visit with him. It’s gratifying during a somber time like this at Turning Point to run into familiar faces and people you follow. Mike Gallagher show listeners and viewers know I quote Benny all the time. The Benny show here in person is Last night you were bartering a change of seats on your flight from Tampa to Phoenix, and you handled that very well.
SPEAKER 03 :
Thank you, Mike. We are out front of Turning Point USA where there is an entire quarter of a mile long Charlie Kirk Memorial that is 20 feet deep that has to have multiple police officers block the road because of the expansive size of the memorial. It is monumental and a testament to Charlie’s life, movement, and the mission that we must carry on.
SPEAKER 02 :
You walk here, and when we turned the corner and saw the thousands of flowers and signs and flags and balloons, Benny, there are very few people in American culture who have had this kind of an impact on the American people.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, right, especially after their passing. So this is what normally happens is people lose power. Tyrants lose power after their passing. People live their lives and they go on and then, you know, you’re truly gone when people forget your name. I’ve never in my life witnessed what’s happening here. Charlie’s social media accounts have doubled and tripled in size. My entire social media feed, along with every other person on earth, is now seeing Charlie’s voice speaking to us. What has happened here is a martyrdom in the true sense of the Christian tradition, the same way that the blood of Stephen, who, and it gave me chills thinking about this, Mike, was the same age as Charlie. upon his martyrdom, the same way that that inspired the single greatest growth of Christianity and the kingdom of God, upon his death, that is what we are witnessing here in Charlie and many interviews explained what he wanted his legacy to be. What 20-year-old man does that, by the way? He explained many times, I want to be remembered for courage for the kingdom of God. And God is using, as he always does, Charlie’s martyrdom to advance the kingdom of God. It is precisely what Charlie would have wanted. I get chills talking about it.
SPEAKER 02 :
One of the world’s most popular social media influencers, Benny Johnson, with us here outside Turning Point USA. Benny, you talk about chills. I came across a video of an interview Charlie gave the morning he was killed with Fox Nation. Did you see what he said when he was asked… How do you live your life? What do you, what rules do you follow? What quotes do you go by? And the first one was this too shall pass. I mean, he was so prophetic hours before he was killed in Salt Lake city, almost, almost foreshadowing what was going to happen to him.
SPEAKER 03 :
I will live who knows how long, but whatever my deathbed is, I will be able to say I was witness to a miracle. I’ve worked with Charlie for 10 years. I saw the prophetic nature of his life and, What 14-year-old is wandering the halls of the RNC convention in 2012 when Mitt Romney was running for president, talking about the vision for Turning Point, begging for his first donors, wandering the stairwells there in Tampa? 14-year-old boys are getting Legos stuck up their nose, not doing that. And what Charlie has built is the single most powerful youth political organization on earth that is the fastest growing political organization in the world currently. That is the hand of God. We were witness to a miracle. We were witness to a prophetic calling, and we all got to see it in our own ways. Some of us up close, some of us worked with him like you did, Mike. And when we were working with Charlie, you could actually see it. And I don’t know, other than the birth of my own children, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to say I was witness to a true miracle. So this was a true miracle. It’s God’s telling us he’s real, he’s working, and he’s not done with America yet. yet.
SPEAKER 02 :
There’s been an energy unleash. Benny, you know it. We know it. We all know it. Things are changing. The game has changed. One example, maybe, and you had a hand in this, I would argue, with the Jimmy Kimmel put on ice after the despicable lie that he told that the killer was MAGA. He doesn’t want to apologize. His defenders deny that he even said it. They’re gaslighting. Your interview with Brendan Carr, the FCC commissioner, Many say is the reason that he was fired. It wasn’t the reason. It was a business decision. They’re lying about that. That shouldn’t surprise you. But you have to be pleased that there was such clarity presented on your show with the FCC commissioner. Well, Mike, you know.
SPEAKER 03 :
No one is above the law. Where have I heard that before? The FCC regulates the main broadcasters in this country. They get lavish goodies from the taxpayers, ABC, CBS and NBC. They get bestowed upon them all of these. Beautiful things like access to every television and phone in America. Millions of households get these privileges. You don’t get them. I don’t get them. ABC gets them. And with those government privileges that we all fund comes something very special. It’s called a duty to broadcast in the public interest. Now, is it in the public interest to blame Charlie Kirk for his own death? Is it in the public interest to slander this good man? Is it in the public interest to protect the radical, sick, demonic ideology that stole this man from his children, that orphaned his children, that widowed his wife, that stole the president from our nation? No. No. It is the baseline decency for us to hold Jimmy Kimmel and ABC News into an account for that sick and slanderous lie that they told about our friend. And all I’m trying to do is defend my friend.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, you did it. You did it in a spectacular way. We appreciate you so much as the crowd cheers for you. Benny Johnson, Mike Gallagher show audience knows we use you all the time. I hope you don’t mind. We we borrow liberally from you, so to speak. And I appreciate you fighting the good fight. It’s great to meet you. I borrow conservatively for me next time. Yes. Deal. All right. And then imagine my pleasant surprise to see Benny on stage yesterday as one of the featured speakers.
SPEAKER 03 :
May we pray that our rulers here, rightfully instituted and given power by our God, wield the sword for the terror of evil men in our nation in Charlie’s memory. I want to live in a country where the evil are terrified and where the good and the faithful and the moral people of our nation can live in peace, debate in peace, disagree in peace, and start families in peace. And so we want to thank the administration for being here and carrying out that godly mission of wielding the sword against evil. I’d be remiss if I didn’t say this to all of the young men in the audience, and I can see so many young men out there. Charlie really reached young men and women. But this is the advice that Charlie gave me. Center your life on Christ. Fall in love. Get married. Have a million kids. And live out your American dream. And by doing that we can create millions and millions and millions of Charlie Kirks. And we can save our land. That will be our turning point. God bless you. And God bless Charlie Kirk. He’s looking down on us smiling from heaven.
SPEAKER 02 :
So settle in today. We’re going to try to play a little snippet of every single speaker at yesterday’s memorial that we were honored and privileged to attend. This is a special edition of the Mike Gallagher Show. The Charlie Kirk Memorial. And now, from Phoenix, here’s Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 02 :
My friend and colleague Kevin McCullough wrote over at Town Hall that yesterday was a historic day. Kevin wrote, let me let you in on a little secret. Yesterday was not a day of regret. Yesterday was not a day of despair. Yesterday was a day of celebration and remembrance. Charlie Kirk lived just 31 years. Only 13 of them is the public voice we came to know through Turning Point USA. Yet in those 13 years, he touched millions of lives. And he sure was deserving of the remarkable event that I attended yesterday at State Farm Stadium here in the Phoenix area. I want to play for you as many clips as possible from some of the speakers. You know, there’s been a lot of drama about Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens and Israel and all of that. Suffice to say, I guess it’s a testament to Tucker’s Friendship with Charlie that Tucker did speak yesterday. Candace, unfortunately, did not attend. And I don’t really care. I don’t want to get into all that drama. Believe me, there’s a lot of drama going on all over the country. But yesterday was drama-free. There were no incidents. There were no disruptions. And to think that they pulled this off with seven days. Hundreds of thousands of people showed up at these sports venues in the Phoenix area. Secret Service. I mean, you had the whole seat of government under one roof. And everybody, considering the circumstances, did a splendid job. This was a revival yesterday. As I posted on X, the assassin wanted a funeral. Instead, what happened was a revival, was a worship, was a celebration of Charlie’s legacy and what will happen going forward. Here’s Tucker Carlson, host of the Tucker Carlson Network, now on podcast and, of course, after Fox News dumped him. Many would argue it was the greatest, most liberating thing to happen to Tucker, but here he was yesterday on the stage at the State Farm Stadium.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s only an acknowledgment that what Charlie was really saying is that change begins, the only change that matters, when we repent of our sins. We. Me. A recognition that the real problem is me and how fallen I am. And that was the reason that Charlie was fearless at all times. Truly fearless to his last moment. He was unafraid. He was not defensive. And there was no hate in his heart. I know that because I’ve got a little hate compartment in my heart. And I would often express that to Charlie about various people. And he would always say, always say, that’s a sad person. That’s a broken person. That’s a person who needs help. That’s a person who needs Jesus. He said that in private because he meant it. So I guess I would just say this gathering and God’s presence, God’s very obvious presence in this room, the presence of Jesus, is a reminder of what we’ve known for 2,000 years, which is any attempt to extinguish the light causes it to burn brighter every single time.
SPEAKER 02 :
I don’t know who the Republican nominee is going to be in 2028, but political watchers saw a couple of contenders, J.D. Vance, the current vice president, and Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State, speak yesterday. I saw somebody post on social media, after this speech today, Marco Rubio will be the nominee. I don’t know. I know it’s probably inappropriate to speculate based on speeches yesterday, but there’s no question. Marco Rubio soared.
SPEAKER 10 :
One of the things he wants us to take away from this, from all of this, is the following. His deep belief… that we were all created, every single one of us, before the beginning of time, by the hands of the God of the universe, an all-powerful God, who loved us and created us for the purpose of living with Him in eternity. But then sin entered the world and separated us from our Creator. And so God took on the form of a man and came down and lived among us. And He suffered like men. And He died like a man. But on the third day He rose unlike any mortal man. And then, and to prove any doubters wrong, he ate with his disciples so they could see and they touched his wounds. He didn’t rise as a ghost or as a spirit, but as flesh. And then he rose to the heaven, but he promised he would return. And he will. And when he returns, because he took on that death, because he carried that cross, we were freed from the sin that separated us from him. And when he returns, there will be a new heaven and a new earth. And we will all be together. And we are going to have a great reunion there again with Charlie and all the people we love. Thank you and God bless you.
SPEAKER 02 :
Wow, wow, wow. I know Charlie loved Pete Hegseth, and Pete Hegseth, of course, the former Fox News host and now Secretary of War, clearly loved Charlie.
SPEAKER 15 :
Charlie Kirk was a citizen who had the biblical heart of a soldier of the faith, who put on every single day the full armor of God with a smile, as the scriptures tell all Christ followers to do. Charlie Kirk. a warrior for country, a warrior for Christ. He ran the race. He finished the fight. Now it’s our turn. My charge to all of you, live worthy of Charlie Kirk’s sacrifice and put Christ at the center of your life as he advocated for giving his.
SPEAKER 02 :
Sadly, if you’re a Kennedy, you know all about assassinations. We know how much tragedy and violence has impacted the Kennedy family. So that’s why I think it was very meaningful to listen to the Health and Human Services Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., talk about his friend, Charlie, from his perspective as a Kennedy.
SPEAKER 07 :
In one of my first conversations with Charlie in July of 2021, we were talking about the risks that all of us take when we challenge interest, the physical risk. And he asked me if I was scared of dying. And I said to him, there’s a lot worse things than death. And one of those things is if we lost our constitutional rights in this country and that our children were raised as slaves. And… I said to Charlie, I said, sometimes the best consolation we can hope for is that we get to die with our boots on. Well, Charlie died with his boots on. And he died to make sure that we didn’t have to undergo those fates that are worse than death. Oh, let’s remember Charlie. For those of us who were friends with Charlie, we don’t need any more evidence of the love of God because the friendship is the best evidence that God loves us all. Thank you and God bless you.
SPEAKER 02 :
RFK Jr., whose own father was felled by an assassin. There was some levity yesterday. Donald Trump Jr., who, of course, was a good friend of Charlie’s, and, of course, President Trump’s son, poked a little fun at his dad, who was up in the presidential box looking down with a big smile on his face at this moment.
SPEAKER 14 :
I’m not widely known for being a sentimental guy. Anyone who’s seen me on social media knows I’m far more likely to crack a joke or get myself in trouble for posting some grossly inappropriate memes than I am to shed a tear. I know this because I’ve even gotten the call from that guy a couple times. You know, Don, Don, you’re getting a little aggressive on social media, Don. Relax.
SPEAKER 02 :
It was a great moment. A lot of great moments. And still to come, Vice President J.D. Vance, President Trump, and, of course, Erica Kirk, Charlie’s widow, as we share some of the sights and sounds and the impressions of yesterday’s memorial service at State Farm Stadium.
SPEAKER 05 :
The Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 11 :
Charlie lived his life as a warrior for truth and for freedom. Every single day choosing to step into the arena armed with the Constitution. Sparring through debate on the battlefield of ideas. Fighting for the heart of our democratic republic. And the unalienable rights endowed upon every one of us by our creator.
SPEAKER 05 :
In the ReliefFactor.com studios, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 02 :
Tulsi Gabbard doing a wonderful job paying tribute to Charlie Kirk yesterday. I have to quickly tell you how much I love coming to Phoenix. And I shared with you Friday how I walked down the hall here at the radio station and saw… The poster of Charlie and me and Larry Elder and Seb Gorka at an event we did here last year. They do such wonderful events. The whole team here, 960, The Patriot, led by Mark Durkin. Again, one of my favorite markets to visit. I wish I could come here on a monthly basis. But thanks to everybody for making us feel so welcome. Of course, for years I’ve had a great relationship with this station. The great Jim Ryan, the previous general manager, was a good friend of the show and a supporter. And Mark is just wonderful. I’m glad I got to spend some time with Mark. I also appreciated spending a lot of money on Waymo’s. This thing has made me obsessed. Every city should have Waymo driverless vehicles. You’ve never seen anything like it. This morning, I was leaving the… hotel at the crack of dawn, and my boss, Phil Boyce, was leaving for the airport. I said, Phil, let me get you a Waymo. He said, I don’t know. No driver? I said, yeah, you could do it. So I ordered him a Waymo. These are cars, giant domes on the top and all these weird cameras and stuff, and there’s no driver. It picks you up, takes you wherever you want to. You get in the back seat or the front seat, like Phil did. It says, hello, Phil. I mean, it plays music, and there’s no driver. And I promise you, it’s a heck of a lot smoother than any Uber driver or taxi driver. I posted a little video of it, I think, on X when I first got here. I’ve been taking these Waymo cars all over town. I’ve been crisscrossing Phoenix in a Waymo driverless vehicle. And here’s the best part, and this is why, all kidding aside, why it really matters is They’re cheap. You know why they’re cheap? Because you don’t have to pay a driver. Now, I’m sorry for Uber drivers and taxi drivers and everything else, but look, people are trying to save money. It’s the most extraordinary thing, and I think they’re now in Los Angeles. I think they have Waymo vehicles in Las Vegas, maybe Atlanta. Somebody told me, Austin, I wish these things were everywhere. I’m telling you what, you could get your work done. You know, you can’t be on your phone while you’re driving your car. And even in a Tesla, if you’re self-driving, it’ll catch you if you’re on your phone because it knows. A Waymo? Text away. Get out your laptop. It’s doing all the driving for you while you sit in the back seat. It is incredible. Waymo is the name of it. It’s the coolest thing ever. So I sent Phil out today. Of course, the funny part was it was in my name. And I realized in horror Phil put his suitcase in the trunk and you have to open the trunk from your app because it’s all done on the app. And I realized when Phil got to the airport, he won’t be able to get his bag out of the trunk. And I’m sitting here in the studio doing the M&M experience with Mark Davis. So while I’m talking to Mark, I’m tracking Phil’s arrival at the airport in Phoenix, and then I had to open the trunk from the app at just the right time. Phil probably thought it did it automatically. I think it might once you put a bag in the trunk. It might open it automatically. Anyway, it’s the coolest thing ever. one of the many benefits of visiting Phoenix, Arizona. What an incredible moment to see the President of the United States walk out to the podium and pay tribute to a young man who many acknowledge is probably the reason Donald Trump was re-elected. If it wasn’t for Turning Point USA and Charlie’s efforts to mobilize millions of young people all over the country, we’d probably be stuck with President Kamala Harris. Here was the 45th and 47th president yesterday paying tribute to his friend, Charlie Kirk.
SPEAKER 08 :
To Charlie’s parents who lost their beloved son and to the entire Kirk family, we know that no words can ever be enough to fill the void he leaves behind. That’s a void that just can’t be filled. But I hope the extraordinary outpouring of emotion over these past 11 days has comforted you with the knowledge that your son brought more good and love into this world in his 31 short years. than most people, even very, very successful people, can bring in a lifetime. Charlie Kirk loved America with everything he had. And as we can see so clearly today, America loved Charlie Kirk.
SPEAKER 02 :
And finally, finally, the moment that everybody is talking about, as we endeavor today to play every single speaker for you on our coverage, Charlie’s grieving widow, who now is going to take over the helm of Turning Point as the CEO. And the crowd gasped. when she expressed the Christian tenet of forgiveness for the monster who slaughtered her husband.
SPEAKER 12 :
My husband, Charlie, he wanted to save young men just like the one who took his life. that young man that young man on the cross our savior said father forgive them for they not know what they do that man that young man I forgive him I forgive him because it was what Christ did and is what Charlie would do. The answer to hate is not hate. The answer we know from the gospel is love and always love. Love for our enemies and love for those who persecute us.
SPEAKER 02 :
What an extraordinary young woman who now is faced with the unthinkable task of raising her two children, one and three, on her own. Incidentally, somebody, one of the speakers mentioned the kids’ names. Charlie was always so protective of them. And I know Erica will be, too. And we’re praying for her. We’re praying for the entire Kirk family. And I’m glad President Trump… acknowledged Charlie’s parents because they’re often sort of forgotten in all this. They’re grieving too. The nation grieves.
