Yeah. Hey, guys, I had three points.

Yeah, go for it, Ben.

And one is, you know, on this Hamas thing, I don’t think I’d take their word for it. This 20-phase… They haven’t even fulfilled number one yet. They can’t give back a bunch of dead bodies. It’s like, hey, they ought to be able to get that done. You know, send in some coffins and, you know, take care of it. The second thing is, as much as I love Trump, I don’t know if it was such a good deal handing back a couple of thousand of these, you know, Hamas people, a couple hundred of which were… They were doing life sentences. They probably committed a murder or some kind of war crime. And then third, you know, I think Trump deserves that Nobel Peace Prize. But then again, that other woman with Venezuela that got it, you know, take some courage. She’s probably got a price on her head. Probably.
SPEAKER 17 :
And to her credit said, hey, this really deserves to go to Trump.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, she’s great too. To her credit. But I mean, but what Trump achieved, of course, was historic. And, you know, really quick, Ben, if I may, on the 2,000 people, there were a few who I would not have given back either. So I partially agree with you. But let’s keep in mind, with the rest of that 2,000 Hamas, you know, internees or whatever you want to call them, prisoners, you have only three choices, okay? You either return them or you kill them. Or you house feed, clothe, and guard them forever at Jewish taxpayer expense. I like number two. Oh, no, no. I like two, too. But you’ve got to keep in mind, two doesn’t sell too well because Israel is about to get some wonderful agreements throughout the Middle East because of this peace plan. This is going to lead to more Abraham Accords. The big part of the peace plan is the fact that so many of these other countries were bought in. This is going to pay off huge for Israel. That’s why they did it.
SPEAKER 09 :
I pray that it does. It will. Whenever I argue like this, I want to be proven wrong. I want to hear it be so good. that somebody can say, see, it all worked out, and it worked out great. That’s really what I want. I think that will happen here.
SPEAKER 04 :
Really quick here, and John, just give me one more. Really quick, you led off with that you don’t trust Hamas. Let me tell you something. I agree. I don’t trust Hamas. What I do trust is the gun to their head. You see, if Hamas does not fulfill this, and I understand with the dead bodies, it takes longer to round them up and so forth. I really cared more about the living, and they got them right away. But… If Hamas does not fulfill this, they’re going to get overrun. They were on the edge of extinction, and so that is why they made the deal they did. That’s why Israel made the deal with Hamas, because at least they still had a government to deal with.
SPEAKER 17 :
And to prove that, Ben, this is why Hamas is still going after those that oppose them inside of their own borders.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yep. If Hamas told me the sky was blue, I would go outside with a color chart, And I’d want three independent opinions. Agreed.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and again, like I said, this is why, I mean, to prove Andy’s point, Ben, that’s why Hamas is doing what it’s doing right now, killing inside of its own borders.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 17 :
I mean, really, that’s what they’re doing, and that’s why.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, the beauty of this deal is you don’t have to trust Hamas. That’s the beauty of it. You trust the gun to their head.
SPEAKER 17 :
All right. Shifting gears, Ben, going back to what Andy and I were talking about with the gubernatorial race we have in Colorado, I mean, what are your thoughts on the candidates? There’s plenty of them, almost 20. In fact, I think it is 20. Your thoughts on what Andy and I were talking about on who it’s going to take to actually win on our side. What are your thoughts?
SPEAKER 09 :
You know, I don’t know enough about the candidates to give any kind of a… I know more about… And I’m not asking for a particular candidate.
SPEAKER 17 :
I’m asking, do you agree with Andy and I talking about who it needs to be, the vibrancy of who they need to attract, and so on?
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, in my opinion, it has, at the very least, got to be a moderate Republican candidate who has fiscal responsibility… conservative values and law and order as their go-tos and if they don’t have that i say even get them out i don’t care if they look so good on paper that they’re number one you know there’s there’s deeds and there’s words hold their feet to the fire everybody or you know every the governor and and the state that they run. Hold their feet to the fire. If it were up to me, like I’m at the park, we’re going to be doing a barbecue with some friends. When I say hold their feet to the fire, if it were up to me, I mean, that charcoal grill gets pretty warm. I’d be like, fellas, are you really going to get this done? Because if you aren’t, we want a recall. We want trials for where you’ve broken the public trust. We We want it done and done right in this state. I’m not too worried about what any other state does. This is what I want. You know, my family, we were pioneers. As far as I’m concerned, this is my state, not the Democrats. That’s what I want. And if they can’t handle that and they don’t like it, well, that’s too bad. I don’t want to see homeless. I don’t want to see drugs. I don’t want to see high crime. And I don’t want to see low punishment if you don’t hold people accountable. the government and the governed that are breaking laws, what do you got? You’re on the road to Venezuela or Cuba. It’s just stupid. And they know this. Polis knows this. The other people know it. I’m starting to get into a rant. No, no, no.
SPEAKER 04 :
Actually, let me run with this for a second. John, I think Ben makes an incredible point with law and order. I think that that is something that really, really sells right now for the right. Colorado has largely become lawless, especially in Denver, Boulder, and even some of the other places like the Springs and Fort Collins. Can’t argue that. And a lot of people are sick of it. They are saying, we lead the nation, don’t we? We’re first or second in car thefts per 1,000. Yeah, crime is through the roof. I think people, look, I guess what I’m saying is this, and I’ll ask Ben this. Ben, I think our side, to a degree, needs to run a cop and say, we don’t just need a governor. We need a head cop. We need somebody who says the law will be enforced here.
SPEAKER 09 :
Give me somebody like that guy, Brady Judd. You’ve probably seen him on the Internet. No, but I believe him. Check out Brady Judd. He’s like, I don’t know, he’s in Florida or something. And he said, I saw one thing where he said, if somebody’s breaking into your house, we prefer that you shoot them.
SPEAKER 17 :
Oh, that’s the sheriff. That’s the one sheriff. Yes, I follow him. I know who you’re talking about.
SPEAKER 09 :
I mean, not that I want to, I don’t want to live next door to him. I don’t want to visit him in the office. But you need something like that to get crime underhand. You know, maybe one or two terms, and then get somebody out like whatever. The old, what was his name, Kennedy that ran Denver? There was a couple of them. Machad, he seemed like a good guy. And I think the old, my sense is, I don’t have the facts, but the old Denver Guard police force, We’re a bunch of pretty good law and order guys. Overall, this is going back like 20 years or more.
SPEAKER 04 :
Ben, it sounds to me like you want somebody who comes across as Tom Homan. No nonsense. We’re going to do it. We’re going to enforce the law because the people deserve it.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, we’re going to get things cleaned up regardless.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, and really, it’s probably only… maybe 10% of the population, but it grows. Pretty soon that’s 12%, and then 14%, and then 19%. And then you’ve got some like Venezuela, which inadvertently or otherwise is really the road to ruin. If you want that, if the electorate is stupid enough to do that on an ongoing basis, we’re going to get more of what we’ve got, but worse. It is just untenable. It’s unacceptable. And so we got to make some changes in that in those areas for the governor. And the municipalities. I’m not letting them off the hook.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah. Whether it’s Lakewood or Wheat Ridge or Aurora.
SPEAKER 09 :
You’re right.
SPEAKER 17 :
Can’t argue that. All of them. Absolutely. Yeah.
SPEAKER 09 :
Absolutely. If you want to drop crime, you do things to drop crime. Absolutely. If you want to increase crime, you do what we’ve got now. Yeah, if it were up to me, it’s like Tom Holman. Hey, you got a few months? Can we help us clean up Colorado? Yeah.

Okay, Andy, let’s talk about, because we were doing this during the break a little bit, but let’s talk about no names attached, but the candidate that, if there’s going to be any chance at all of winning against the Democrats next November, 2026, You know, what do they need to be focused on in their campaign? What do they need to be talking about? What areas, by the way, should they avoid? Honestly, at all costs. And sometimes it gets they get drug into it because that’s what the other side knows they can do. So, you know, what are some of these things that, you know, let’s focus on? First of all, let’s go backwards. Let’s talk about in reverse. Let’s talk about what are those things they should never go down the path of? What are things they shouldn’t just, you know, if at all, you know, they can’t avoid all things at all times. So some things are just going to get thrown at them. But in general, what are the things that they shouldn’t talk about?
SPEAKER 04 :
OK, well, first, can I give one overriding theme?
SPEAKER 17 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 04 :
OK, because the very first thing you have to do is undercut the main Democrat message about the Republican Party. They tell people, Republicans want to tell you how to live your life. So the very first thing, your overriding message has to be the opposite of that. You live your life. Look, you’ve just had all these years of polis. Everything he wanted, he forced on you. I’m going to make it very clear. If you’re law-abiding, I don’t want to control your life. I want government to stop controlling your life. Now, if you’re a lawbreaker, I want to control your life. I want to get you off the streets, get you away from all these wonderful law-abiding people.
SPEAKER 17 :
Gotcha.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay?
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, perfect.
SPEAKER 04 :
Now, getting to the things that you don’t want to go down, okay? Abortion.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yep. Thank you. That was my number one.
SPEAKER 04 :
Now, you can’t run from it.
SPEAKER 17 :
As much as you and I are 100% pro-life, yes, that’s a big one, Andy.
SPEAKER 04 :
Right. You can’t run from it. So how do you handle abortion? It’s very simple. You say… Guys, as the governor, I want to serve the people of Colorado, not control the people of Colorado. The people of Colorado overall do not want abortion stopped. However, they also don’t want abortion paid for. by taxpayers. They don’t want people who are pro-life forced to pay for an abortion. They don’t want late-term abortions.
SPEAKER 17 :
I was just going to say, you could also add into that that a substantial amount of Colorado voters don’t want late-term abortions either.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah. You could say, look, I am, as your governor, when it comes to abortion, I’m here to serve the people of Colorado, not control them, not make my personal views into your laws. You’ve already had enough years of that with the governor and the legislature here. They took their personal views and forced them on everybody.
SPEAKER 17 :
And you pivot and move on.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah. And I would say, what do most people in Colorado agree on? Oh, that’s simple. They want they want the right to an abortion. OK, but they do not want it funded by the taxpayers and they do not want it in late term. That’s it. OK, but they do want it made available. There you go. That’s what the market wants. I’m here to serve the market. Next question. And then you just move on to the next thing.
SPEAKER 17 :
Exactly.
SPEAKER 04 :
and take that off the table immediately.
SPEAKER 17 :
I’m not sure that, frankly, and I’m going to say this as plainly as I can, I don’t think out of all the candidates currently, and I don’t know Victor Marks that well, there’s not a single candidate I think can do that very well except for maybe Mark Baisley, as far as what you just said.
SPEAKER 04 :
Right.
SPEAKER 17 :
Mark can do what you just said very well.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes, he can.
SPEAKER 17 :
That part he’s very good at.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, and I think Barb could actually probably do that, but Mark would do it better.

Mark would do it more eloquently.

He would. And then you’ve got to look at the gay question. Why do you have to look at that? Because our party for two years was run by somebody who told us to burn pride flags.
SPEAKER 17 :
You’ve got to address it.

Burning other people’s property. What I would say is this.

You don’t have to focus on it, but you address it.

Yeah.

In fact, I think you openly even say something along those lines, Andy. Hey, the past previous chair of the Colorado Republican Party wanted you to burn your pride flags. I’m not that way.

The reason I wouldn’t do that is because I don’t want to openly alienate his followers. You’re going to do that anyways. No. I don’t want to openly do it.
SPEAKER 17 :
You’re doing that anyways. They’re not going to vote for you anyways, Andy.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, I understand, but here’s what I would say.
SPEAKER 17 :
Or your guy, I mean.
SPEAKER 04 :
I would say to somebody who brings, you know, first of all, you don’t bring it up, but when the reporters do, because they want to give you the gotcha.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, they’re even going to say something along the lines of what I just said. Your last chair, your previous chair said we should just burn all flags, all pride flags. How do you respond to that?
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay. Why would I want to burn other people’s property? That’s what I would say. That’s called a crime.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, that’s what I would say.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay. I think you should be able to have whatever flag you want. My flag is the American flag. I’m very proud of it. And as for people being gay, that’s your life choice. I’d make mine and live your life.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yep. Have fun. Yeah. You do you. I’ll do me.
SPEAKER 04 :
You do… You just got to where I was going. The three words we must learn to say with our candidate and our entire movement are you do you. And people say, what do you mean by that? Guys, you do you. You do you. Why? Because that’s called self-governance. That’s what the founding fathers put forward in our country. They didn’t say we’re going to take one belief system and enforce it for all time. They said you do you. But do you believe in you do you if you want everybody else to pay for it? No. Okay, you do you. You make your choices. You have the rewards and consequences of your choices. Live your life.
SPEAKER 17 :
If you want to be a car thief, guess what? You’re going to jail.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, you want to be a car thief? You’re breaking the law. You’re going to jail. Up until now, you don’t. Okay, you do you. If you want to, well, I want to be gay and be married. How does that affect my life?
SPEAKER 17 :
It doesn’t, so go for it.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s what I’m saying to the reporter. Okay, let’s say two people want to be gay. They’re gay and they want to be married. How does that affect my life? Does that mean I can’t be married to my wife? Well, no. And what’s the problem? You do you. You see, the problem with Jared Polis is he didn’t believe in you do you.
SPEAKER 17 :
You see, you wanted… He wants it to be you do what I want you to do.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, you do what I want you to do. Okay? He wants his agenda preached in the public schools.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, you selfish bastard.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, he wants you to put a mask on when it doesn’t help you, selfish bastard. In the middle of COVID, he wanted to take businesses that wanted to stay open. They wanted to serve their customers, and he said no. And he shut them down, and when they opened up, he said you can only have half the seating, which won’t pay the bills. And he ran a ton of good restaurants out of business. He didn’t believe in you, do you? You know what I would have said? That is between the restaurant and their customers.

If somebody wants to come in and eat, go for it. If not, that’s fine, too.
SPEAKER 04 :
You want to come in and eat? You take your risks. You want to wear a mask?
SPEAKER 17 :
Fine, if you don’t. At the end of the day, you do you.

Yeah, you do you. You do you. That’s what I believe in. We’ve just had, how many years was he in place? Eight years? Okay, we’ve just had eight years of you do you being thrown out. I want to bring it back.

Seven, anyway, so this next year will be the eighth.

It’s going to be eight years. Okay, we’ve been going through eight years of you-do-you being thrown out the door. I want to bring it back. You-do-you. I’m not going to take, you know what my personal beliefs are? I’m a right-wing evangelical Christian. Do you think I’m going to have that forced on your kids in the public schools? No, I am not. You know why? Because I believe your child’s success should be the only agenda in schools. Darren Polis didn’t believe that. He believed that his agenda should be part of your curriculum for your kids. I say you do you. You decide what your kids are taught. You decide what their values are. You decide, I don’t want to be their parent. You are. And you see, this is how our candidate should sell it. And people say, well, you know, but that’s not right wing enough. Oh, yes, it is.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, how is it not? Furthermore, if it’s any farther right wing, you’re not elected.
SPEAKER 04 :
No.
SPEAKER 17 :
So what difference does it make?
SPEAKER 04 :
Right. Here’s another one. You do you. When you drive in your car. Do you want more lanes or less?
SPEAKER 17 :
More.
SPEAKER 04 :
Do you want potholes fixed or no?
SPEAKER 17 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, guess what? Your taxes are paying for more lanes and potholes and potholes fixed. How come we still have this many potholes and not enough lanes when you’re paying your money for that? And let me tell you something. I don’t care if that voter is 22 or 82. They’re going to listen to that and say, yeah.
SPEAKER 17 :
I think the other thing you could squeeze… You do you.
SPEAKER 04 :
I want you to have enough lanes to drive on the road, you know, without… This is ridiculous. It looks like rush hour right now at 2 in the afternoon. That’s ridiculous.
SPEAKER 17 :
I think the other thing you could weave into this, and I think, again, Governor… doesn’t set policy but you can direct a lot and one thing i would try to run on would be listen the other thing i want to see accomplished and i know that i’m not in charge of this the way that you know legislatively things work is you know i can ask for some things that i would like to see put through uh you know the state house but at the end of the day it’s up to our legislatures to make this thing happen but at the end of the day i would like to see us somehow get to a point where we can cap property taxes i would run on that by the way because by the way that one resonates with everybody sure
SPEAKER 04 :
Absolutely.
SPEAKER 17 :
I want to put a cap on them. Guys, I know they’ve been run away. I know we’ve tried to fix this. The reality is the fixes have been weak at best. They haven’t fixed anything. At the end of the day, I want to see some reprieve here. We’ll figure out how to get schools funded and do all the rest of the things, which, oh, by the way, I probably should make a note of this, that attendance is down. It’s not working. We don’t have as many kids attending school anyway, so the reality is their budgets don’t need to be increasing with property taxes like they’ve been. Let’s cap them and help every one of you that are citizens here in the great state of Colorado.
SPEAKER 04 :
Right. You’ve got to package it so it’s not in the weeds for them, but yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER 17 :
And that one’s not hard to do, by the way. And that one speaks to everybody.
SPEAKER 04 :
John, and you know, you got to stick with your theme, right? And you can do that. You can’t do you if your property taxes keep going up and up and robbing your, if your wallet’s empty, you can’t do you.
SPEAKER 17 :
You may not even be in Colorado if we don’t fix this.
SPEAKER 04 :
Right.
SPEAKER 17 :
You might be exiting and going someplace else. We’d rather have you here.
SPEAKER 04 :
Right. You know, why did so many people move to Florida? Because you can do you.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right.

Okay. Why? You got more money in your pocket. You got more jobs. You got more freedom. It’s the free state of Florida, as I always call it. You do you. The free state of Florida is booming with people. They’ve got a problem with too many people coming in too quick. Right. Okay. It’s so free. I want that here again. I want you to do you. You do you. You know, we don’t need Karens next. You don’t need a Karen next door telling you how to live your life. And you don’t need one in the Capitol in the Capitol building doing the same thing. Right.

Do we see any chance of school choice in Colorado’s future where a parent can take the tax money where they want? Not until we get some of what we’re talking about with Andy done, no. I don’t see that happening until you get a shift in leadership in Colorado to really help people understand the you-do-you thing.

Yeah, exactly.

You’re not going to get that done until you get that done.
SPEAKER 04 :
Right. You first have to get a big vision through to people, a vision of freedom that they don’t understand. Because right now, the people in Colorado, they don’t understand freedom, period.

They don’t vote freedom. You’ve got to instruct them on this.

They vote against freedom. You have to show them the beauty of you do you. Let me give just one more quick example, and we’ll go to Dan. Plastic bags at the supermarket. You can just say, look… If you want to use plastic bags at the store, whether or not to charge you, that’s between you and the store. What’s government getting involved? How come every activist at the state capitol gets to force you to live their activism? That should be your choice. I want you to choose.

So two things. Property tax. So my cousin passed away. He had property in South Dakota. I talked to the attorneys today. She said if we went off the tax value, it would be less than if we do an actual assessment. So in South Dakota, they’ve got it. I don’t know how they’re doing it. In Gilpin County, I had to refinance my house due to termination of a marriage. And so the valuation of the house It was $575,000 when I got my tax bill this spring. So basically, I sold the house and bought the house. They assessed my value of my house at $781,000.

Wow.
SPEAKER 07 :
Which is $200,000 difference. And I sold the house. So I don’t know how they came up with it. I don’t know how they’re doing their assessments. But that’s also broken. If we can’t put a cap on real estate taxes, we need to… fix how they assess properties, because it is out of whack.
SPEAKER 04 :
And it’s a hot-button topic.
SPEAKER 17 :
That one’s huge. Yeah, it is, because it affects everybody.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, I mean, we’re talking, now it’s the assessed value, that isn’t, you know, and then there’s the mill levy and all that that I pay taxes on, but a $200,000 difference when the house was sold, and it’s public record of what it was sold for. You know, or what the valuation was of the house. The second thing about Florida… is a family member of mine actually moved down to Florida. So my son did. But the reason why, he’s got a little bigger apartment, and it’s $500 less a month for him to do for the apartment. And the reason why he moved down there is he is an electrical engineer. He got a job with a NASA contractor building on the – the launch platform or the launch pad for the rocket that can ascend up to the moon here in the next, what, year or so. So not only that, there’s more industry down in Florida or high-paying jobs in Florida, too.

Oh, it’s booming.
SPEAKER 07 :
It’s absolutely booming. And so the thing that, you know, Polis talks about how, well, look, our economy’s fine because he won’t acknowledge that it’s Tabor that’s keeping… the state of Colorado, the blue state, from being like all these other blue states.
SPEAKER 17 :
Correct.
SPEAKER 07 :
If it wasn’t for Tabor, we’d be like California and New York and New Jersey and places like that because we’re putting a cap and a restriction on what government can spend. Right.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, well, and once again, Dan, that’s another you do you. You see, I want you to do you. I want you to be able to vote on whether or not your taxes go up. They don’t want you to have that.
SPEAKER 17 :
Right. And Tabor allows you to vote on it.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah. Right. And they don’t like it because they can’t control and they can’t raise money for their pet projects or their activism, as you say.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, and I would, Dan and Andy both, I mean, I think one of the things I would do along these lines, whoever the candidate is, and as we get further down the road, I would also publicly say, listen, we have a spending problem. Colorado we don’t have a revenue problem you heard this last go-around about having to cut this and cut that and the reality is you know we did a lot of things that affected small business and even big business and the reality is that’s not the answer the key to Colorado is we have a spending problem we don’t have a revenue problem we got to get things in check and I’m here to help fix that yep that would work so and that would that would cross
SPEAKER 07 :
The aisle, too, right?
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, that one would. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Some hardcore lefties want to keep spending more because they know that’s how things work. But no, you would be speaking to a lot of people, Dan.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, yeah. I mean, you look at the voters and say, guys, you’ve been given plenty of money to the government. They’ve been spending too much. You don’t have the problem. They do.
SPEAKER 17 :
And I would even go as far, Dan, even as a candidate, I would be right now having some aides or somebody, you know, AI, whatever, pouring through some of the budgetary things saying, okay, we could slash this, we could slash that. We’re spending too much here, too much there. Believe me, Dan, there is a ton of ways that you could figure out. In fact, you could get some of your Republican counterparts down at the Statehouse and say, okay, what things went through last year that you darn good and well were a waste of money? Let me put those on the campaign trail.

And you tell me, what does government do more efficiently than private industry?

I mean, the Democrats have taken over this state. There was a caller on earlier that said we’re going to be like California, New York. We already are. The state has been taken over by people that have relocated here from America.

liberal states because they didn’t like what was going on there and they come here and vote for the same type of people they do that but here’s the thing landon i i don’t i’m not arguing with your premise you’re correct in what you’re saying the problem is when you come out with that message you’re going to alienate all the people that you just talked about that you now need to vote for you yeah you’re trying to win without you’re trying to win with blame now you’re not going to blame your way into the hearts of um the unaffiliated voters You’re correct. Even though you’re totally true. I’m not arguing with you. You’re 100% correct, but you can’t have that as a campaign message.

If Jesus was running on the… Well, in this particular case, Len, in this case, for once, when you’ve got a guy like Michael Bennett, who most likely will be your candidate, who, by the way, is an extremely, extremely weak candidate, and he’s been really lock, stock, and barrel with a lot of the things that affected negatively the entire country, because you go through his voting record and prove those things… If there’s a time that you might have a chance of actually getting a Republican voted in, it’s now.

Well, I’m being optimistic because you have the right candidate, which is what we’ve been talking about.

If you don’t have the right candidate running against Bennett, it’s all over. But I do believe, and the polling, by the way, shows this, Lynn. There is polling out there, and there’s several different things that have happened here of late that are telling the Democrats, listen, there is an open door right now. It’s not a huge door, but there is an open door right now for Republicans to take back over the governorship in Colorado because of the two candidates they’re running right now.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, Republicans closed the gap on Democrats in voter registration by 3,000 just in the last month here in Colorado. Now we’re still woefully behind.
SPEAKER 17 :
But Lynn, I’m not saying it’s a huge chance, but this is the one election where there is a slim chance if we run the right candidate that you could potentially win.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, they have the money, and they get outside money on here, and I don’t know.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, really quick, Lynn, and this is something to remember as well. With the right candidate running in Colorado, the same thing could happen to us. The problem in the past is we haven’t had that.

Yeah. Republicans like to play Russian roulette with six rounds.

OK, and it’s really turned them into nothing but a protest. And on top of that, I’m serious.

On top of that, Andy, being against, you know, solid family values, being against, you know, or being for women and men and women’s sports and things along those lines. Those are things that have really hurt them on a national and I think even a local basis.

Right. And so when you come to people first, you lead the way with your positive message. You do you. I want you to do you. I want you to be you. And I want to take away all the impediments. And this is getting to what Len was saying. I want to take away all the impediments to you being you and all the things that have been holding you back. They did that.

Everything they’re doing is to divide. Now, they will say that the other side is dividing. Fine. Okay, fine. Whatever. But the bottom line is this. They sell rage, and rage will not sell outside the base. What do we do with them?

Man, and by the way, that’s a great question, one that I have to really, you know, think through heavily, Andy, because, I mean, I wish it would be as simple as I would buy him each a one-way ticket out of here. But, of course, that’s not going to fly. I’d love to do that. But I think in all practicality.

I think what really has to happen is we have to continue to do what you and I are doing here on a weekly basis and really talk to, because I know there’s a lot of quote unquote supporters of them that listen. And I think we have to continue to speak rationally to these individuals and let them know that, wait a minute, you know, your entire future and what may be a real possibility of actually winning in Colorado is really being negatively affected by these folks that you’re following. And it is in a really sincere way. You’re following the wrong crowd. You really have to think through this because if you continue down the path that you’re going, there’s not a snowball’s chance we can win anything. Back to Len’s point a moment ago, unless we become more unified, there’s no way we’re going to win. And going down the path and following these, you know, 20 or 25 people that are actually the real rhinos of… the party, if you continue to follow them, we don’t have a chance of winning most elections, for sure not the Republican. Keep in mind, we’ve also got a senatorial race that’ll be coming up as well. So it’s not just the Republican. And we’ve got a lot of House of Representatives that are going to have to rewind, the Gabe Evans and so on of the world. So we’ve got more than just a governorship that we’ve got to worry about in this next election. So there’s several things that we need to really focus on. And following the knucklehead rhino watchers that are out there is going to do nothing but tear this party apart. So somehow, someway, we’ve got to hopefully talk to the non-25 and not have them follow the 25, and hopefully that’s enough to get rid of the 25.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay, how about when we talk to the general rhino watcher, not the rhino watch leaders. They’re not going to listen. They’re not listening to us. They only care about power and money.
SPEAKER 17 :
They’re knuckleheads.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay, I mean, seriously.

They’re grifters. They are. You’re exactly right.
SPEAKER 04 :
But all their followers.
SPEAKER 17 :
Money-hungry grifters.

Yeah. And I’ve already, by the way, made the offer to a few of them. I want to get together, have lunch, and talk about this. And when we do, I’m going to ask them very simply this. What is your goal? What do you want? Okay, what do you want for Colorado? Forget the Republican Party. What do you want for Colorado? And they’re going to say, well, I want these conservative values and I want them to prevail and win. Okay, great. Guess what? I want the same thing. So first, let’s at least agree that we want the same things in general. Do you want men out of women’s sports? Do you want law and order? Do you want the homeless off the streets and put in facilities? Do you want… There are so many things, right? Do you want ICE to be able to come here and take away those who are threats to our neighborhoods? Do you want, do you want, do you want? Okay. We want all the same things. Here’s my question. What is your plan to win voters outside our base to do that? Okay. Because our base is 20% of the state. All right. So what is your plan to win voters outside our base to do that?
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, you know what they’re going to come back and say is, oh, we’ve got to run solid principled candidates.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s fine.
SPEAKER 17 :
Otherwise, we’re not going to win anything, Andy. That’s what they’re going to come back and say.
SPEAKER 04 :
And my answer to that is very simple. OK, so what you’re saying is no pale pastels. Right. You want bright colors. You want to show how different we are from the Democrats. You want to show a clear difference between us and them to offer a clear choice to the voter. Right.
SPEAKER 01 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay. And I would say, great. Here’s all I ask. Put the customer first when you do that. Okay. When you are selling all of our principles, that’s great. Put the customer first. Can we do that together? In other words, put the customer’s needs first, because here’s what we want to do. Okay, we want to, and I always say this, we should be selling liberty. We don’t. We want to demand our liberty, not sell it for them. You see, I’m having my guns taken away. I want to demand them back. I’m having my free speech taken away. I want to demand it back. Like you were saying with taxes. Okay, property taxes. I want to demand, demand, demand, demand, demand. And guess what? I am right on all my demands. These things really are being taken away from me.
SPEAKER 17 :
The problem with them, though, Andy, is— But people will not listen to that. Well, and the problem with the rhino watchers of the world is, A, they don’t understand the customer because they think they are. Well, honestly, I think the core that are running it know exactly what you and I are talking about but don’t care. Okay. Because at the end of the day, they know that if you do it my way and your way, they don’t have the same power they have today. That’s the problem with them.
SPEAKER 04 :
Right. What they’re going to say is, hey, I am a customer.
SPEAKER 17 :
Right.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay. My answer to that is, you’re right. How many customers are you?
SPEAKER 17 :
One.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay. How many voters are there in Colorado? How many do we need to win?
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, there is roughly what? you let’s see voter wise what is there one two two and a half million or so or am i low ish no half million ish you’re low it’s so three million yeah it’s much higher uh so about three and a half million three and a half okay okay and roughly what do we have like maybe it’s only three but i thought it was three and I’d have to double check. It doesn’t matter.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, bottom line. Regardless, there’s millions. Bottom line is you’re only one voter. I agree with you. You’re one of the customers, but you’re only one customer. And my question is this. How are you going to win enough customers? And you need, I believe in what you’re saying. I want to sell the same things you do, but I want to sell them in a way that puts the customer first, not my demands first. Puts their wants first, not my demands first. And we can do that, and we can do it together. OK, that is what I want to do. We need to go to the customers in Colorado and tell them why liberty is good for them. Not why I want my liberties back. When they hear that, they hear anger and rage that repels them. OK, they need to hear not how I’m pure and they’re not. And they need to be more pure. but rather how purity can be good for them. Isn’t it great to get men out of a girl’s locker room?

Yep. By the way, 3.19 million voters in 2024. Okay.
SPEAKER 04 :
So we were close.
SPEAKER 1 :

Three, three and a half. So 1-1-1, roughly.

And it’s not quite that, but it’s close.

But you see, 3.19 million is a lot more than one.

Okay. You’re one voter. How are you going to win them?

The number I just threw out, I’m not sure if I would even ask the rhino watchers of the world how many voters are there in Colorado. I don’t think they could even come up with that number or even be as close as you and I just were.

Yeah. So anyway, what I would look at them and say is this. Look, because Reagan said this, no pale pastels, you need bright colors. I agree with that. Absolutely. And too many of our traditional candidates have not shown a bright, clear enough difference between us and the left.

If we sell with what we want and we want to get our liberties back, if we come with that viewpoint, we’re going to lose the voters. Why? Because they don’t care what you want and they don’t care about what you get back. They care what they want. So structure your message to put their needs first and you will win more voters. I’m talking about the rhino watchers. The problem is when you’ve got a group of individuals that are grifters, that care more about the money and the power than they actually do winning in the state of Colorado. Everything Andy and I just said falls on deaf ears. So I guess I’m going to really think harder about how do we eliminate these particular individuals from our party in Colorado? And because, frankly, folks, I don’t have an exact answer because I really feel like it’s those of you that are, quote unquote, supporting them. You’re going to have to be the ones to actually say, listen, guys, we don’t like the way you’re leading us. We want to go a totally different direction, and you’ve got to get the 25 with supporters down to just 25. If you can get it down to just 25, we win.

Yeah, here’s the problem. Those people are telling all their followers the end game is to get control of our party, and that will get us home.
