Welcome to the Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review podcast. It’s Friday, October 24th. This week, we confront the Karens of the world. We put the No Kings rallies in the rearview mirror. And it’s Countdown to Communism in New York City. We learned this week that the frontrunner for the New York City mayoral race, Zoran Mamdani, has been campaigning with an actual unindicted co-conspirator in the first World Trade Center bombing. Zoran Mamdani gleefully campaigned this week with a notorious imam, an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, who’s been linked to other terrorist activity in the United States, including urging jihad in New York City. Mamdani, who is the frontrunner to become the city’s next mayor, was seen laughing and grinning while standing arm-in-arm with Siraj Wahaj at the imam’s Bedford-Stuyvesant Mosque. This is some terrifying stuff. While Hajj heads the Muslim Alliance in North America, he was fingered by prosecutors as an unindicted co-conspirator, which left six people dead in 1993. He has publicly defended the plotters of the attack against the FBI and CIA, who he, at the time, called the real terrorists. Guy was born Jeffrey Curse. He became… He became Siraj Wahaj, I guess, when he converted to Islam. During trials, he testified in support of the blind sheik. That’s the guy who is the leader. He’s a leader of a terrorist sect out of Egypt. He called the man a respected scholar. This is just really horrifying. to consider what New York is about to do. And I just, there’s a part of me that doesn’t believe it. I don’t accept it. I don’t accept that New Yorkers are this blind and this ignorant, willfully ignorant. I mean, the other night at the debate, one of the tense moments came when Zoran Mamdani called out Andrew Cuomo for failing to visit mosques during his tenure as governor. Megyn Kelly on her podcast had a pretty spectacular response to that.
SPEAKER 06 :
Muslim socialist Zoran Mamdani criticized Andrew Cuomo for not visiting a mosque. What in the actual F? Since when do American politicians have to go visit a mosque in order to be considered viable candidates for office in New York, by the way? OK, 24 years after 9-11, it’s it’s at that. You have to go visit a mosque to be met. No, you don’t. And Andrew Cuomo, grow a pair. Why don’t you look over at him and say, I don’t have to go visit a mosque. All right. I live in America. It’s a Christian nation. I’m fine with Muslims, but I certainly don’t need to go and listen to Allahu Akbar while people are on their knees five times a day in order to run this city. Zoran. Everybody was ridiculous last night. Curtis Lewa was the only one who you could possibly see doing this job. He was totally likable. But of course, he has no chance because it’s New York. And while they used to sometimes elect more moderate Republicans like Giuliani, and Bloomberg was at first, then went independent. Now they wouldn’t. Now they just won’t. They’re intent on self-destruction. So this guy Zoran Mamdani is going to win. And then I guess we’re all going to have to visit mosques if he has his vision.

I’m not sure she’s right. I’m just not. I love her and I think she’s tremendous. I don’t know that she’s right, that there’s no chance for Curtis. Meanwhile, the No Kings rallies took place across the country this week. Fox News Channel’s Greg Gutfeld shared the perfect take on all the protests. I’ve become a huge fan of Greg Gutfeld over at Fox News. Used to know him years ago when I was a contributor over there and I did his Red Eye show. They taped in the afternoon, but great guy. And he’s become one of the real elder statesmen of the Fox News Channel lineup. And he made a pretty good observation about the No Kings protest Saturday, and I wanted to share it with you today.
SPEAKER 01 :
Think about the interviews that we were seeing of black people in D.C. and Memphis and Chicago talking about the crime crackdown. They weren’t talking about monarchy. They were talking about safety in their streets. You know, they you know, that was important to them. You compare that to the interviews of the people on Saturday. Largely white, older, soft academic bodies who can afford to march for conceptual fears that don’t exist. Not real fears like mugging or carjacking or looting of their small businesses. They, however… God, they’re so lucky. Imagine how lucky you are on a Saturday that this is your problem. I bet if you walked out there to that group and you said, have any of you ever been mugged? Has any of your businesses been looted? Have you ever been carjacked? Or do you know somebody that has been a victim of that? They wouldn’t raise their hand. How lucky are they that they get to spend their afternoon not worrying about the things that everybody who lives in a city does? I think that’s the story. Generally, imaginary concerns are harmless until they become harmful. When they become the narrative, suddenly you will see Charlie Kirk. Again, he gets shot and killed. Why? Because an amplified phony narrative made him Hitler. Why was Trump shot at? Same reason. So this is harmless for now.
SPEAKER 05 :
Great analysis. And he’s right. An amplified phony narrative got Charlie killed. An amplified phony narrative got Trump shot. There’s a lot of amplified phony narratives out there. The No Kings rallies certainly featured some ugly moments. Some marchers took the chance and the opportunity to celebrate the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I’m also struck by the cruelty of the angry, vicious, violent left. My buddy Joe Piscopo likes to say this. For a lot of people on the left, the cruelty is the point. They are just so doggone vicious and mean and nasty people. Another teacher has been exposed for mocking Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Do you recognize what kind of person you have to be to make fun of the murder of a world-famous influencer like Charlie Kirk simply because you disagreed with him? You didn’t like him. You didn’t like his message. Now another teacher out of Clear Lake, California, a woman identified as Barbara Garrett, according to Andrew Colvett, who, of course, is hosting the Charlie Kirk show these days. California middle school teacher caught on tape celebrating the assassination of Charlie, gleefully shouting, he’s dead, he’s dead. Then you’ve got another one, this Lucy Martinez from Chicago’s Nathan Hale Elementary, and a leaked email has confirmed the school has no plans to discipline her. They’re not going to fire her. So a kindergarten through eighth grade teacher who puts her index finger to her neck and says bang, bang, bang to a car full of Charlie Kirk supporters says, doesn’t face any suspension or termination. The cruelty is the point. These are nasty people. Jen Psaki, the former White House press secretary, remember her? She still pops up. She lost her big primetime MSNBC show, but I guess she’s still popping up on different weekend shows or whatever. She’s a guest on a podcast. Did you hear what she said about J.D. Vance’s wife? This clip is so sickening and disgusting. Keep in mind the theme here, the Joe Piscopo doctrine, that for many on the left, for many Democrats, the cruelty is the point. That’s funny. She’s a hostage. They have an unhappy marriage. Blink twice because J.D. is holding you hostage. Do you think that’s cute? But I’m more intrigued by all these teachers popping up all over America with the vicious, evil action of mocking Charlie’s assassination. I try this all the time. I want to address anybody in this audience right now who doesn’t agree with me doesn’t agree with the Trump policies, didn’t agree with Charlie Kirk. Is it acceptable to you for a teacher, a school teacher, who is guiding and leading impressionable young children? Is it okay with you, as a Democrat, as a leftist, as a liberal, as a progressive, whatever you are, I want to ask you if you’re not… in agreement with anything that Charlie stood for. You disagreed with Charlie. What do you think of a teacher, a molder of young minds, laughing and taunting and jeering and mocking Charlie’s assassination? Everybody knows his story, 31 years old. He was killed right before his 32nd birthday. leaves behind a grieving widow, Erica, leaves behind two beautiful little children. He leaves behind grieving parents. And as a Democrat, I have to ask you how you feel about a teacher, not some barista in a coffee shop somewhere, not some purple-haired freak show, a teacher, a teacher in a public school system Like the teacher Lucy Martinez at Nathan Hale Elementary. Or the teacher Barbara Garrett at Obsidian Middle School in Clear Lake, California. A teacher who would mock and make fun of Charlie’s murder. I have to ask you, as somebody who disagrees with Charlie, is that okay with you? AI has rapidly become a fact of life in America today, but our good pal Mark Davis, morning host in Dallas-Fort Worth, has some deep misgivings. They’re remodeling the White House. They’re taking out a part of the East Wing to make way for Trump’s ballroom. He’s got a $250 million ballroom that he’s putting in that he’s paying for, along with private donors. Here’s the headline from the Daily Beast. Trump goons rage at backlash to White House demolition job. Goons? Yeah, here’s what’s happened. Well, we’re all goons, I guess, because we’re Trump supporters. But their take on it is we’re freaking out because they’re freaking out that Trump is remodeling the White House. We’re not freaking out. We’re laughing at them. We don’t care. But he doesn’t care. Here’s the most important thing of all. He stopped caring a long time ago, Mark.

A long time ago. And when that video came out of him wearing the crown and dropping the dump on everything, Hillary posted that and said, oh, he’s mad. He’s mad. I said, man, he’s forgotten you were ever born for one thing. He’s trolling these people. Look, you did something when I was doing all these changeable pictures, things with Grok. Imagine you brought up one of the most important things in a reply to one of my tweets. You said, yeah, this thing is now trying to start a conversation with you. In telling the world that you could do this, I added it. I tagged it. I went at Grok, G-R-O-K, imagine, which means the platform sees it, and then it reached out to me. First, it expressed condolences on the death of my friend in the press box thing. And then after I did the picture of my mom and dad, this thing starts to obsess over what my mom is wearing. Look at the teal dress and the twinkle in her eyes. It’s like, stop! it stop it stop it what are you doing and and and you made a spectacular point and others have too that this thing and i don’t know if there’s anything inherently sinister maybe it’s maybe it’s no more than the tom thumb checkout line thanking you as you leave i don’t know but it was it was seeking to elicit warm reaction from me about something that did not in fact happen it was a completely artificially manufactured thing And there is the land we’ve created. Last thing on this, because there’s another column about this. Wait a minute.

This guy’s from, you know, he’s from Uganda, right? I mean, if there’s any silver lining, he can’t run for president. He’s not eligible to run for president because he was not born in the United States. He was born in Uganda. He’s a Muslim from Uganda who evidently has now been revealed to be saying, we came here to New York to remake the state in the image of our people. How are New Yorkers, how are Jewish New Yorkers feeling? Here’s a very prominent New York City rabbi at one of the most prominent synagogues in the city explaining to the congregation and to the world what it would mean for Jews in New York if Zoran Mamdani wins.

I believe Zoran Mamdani poses a danger to the security of the New York Jewish community. Mamdani’s refusal to condemn insightful slogans like Globalize the Intifada, his denial of Israel’s legitimacy as a Jewish state, his call to arrest Israel’s prime minister should he enter New York, and his thrice-repeated accusation of genocide in Thursday’s debate, for these and so many other statements, past, present, and unrepentant, he is a danger to the Jewish body politic of New York City.

He’s dangerous for Jews in New York. That’s Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove from the Park Avenue Synagogue. New York City. Very serious guy. This is serious stuff we’re talking about. We know what Islamists, violent, dangerous, radical Islamists are capable of. I witnessed it with my own eyes shortly after October 7th in Israel. Democrats have a serious problem right now. Whether it’s the lack of leadership or its dangerous lurch toward the far left, they are in a lot of trouble. TV host and comedian Bill Maher knows it and wasn’t afraid to say so. You want to be unhappy and you want to walk around with a sign on a Saturday afternoon? Have fun. Vent. We know you’re frustrated. You’ve got to be frustrated. Listen to Bill Maher, who’s one of the superstars of the Democrat Party. Got a very popular show on HBO. And listen to this lesson that he tries to impart. to the Democrats and the way they’re flailing and the way they’re broken and the way they’re completely unmoored. There is no Democrat Party leadership. All signs are pointing to Republicans maintaining control of the House and the Senate during the midterms. And here was Bill Maher’s message to today’s flailing, failing Democrat Party.

Seriously, this is a serious problem for Democrats. Less than one in four Democrats under 30 say they’re proud to be an American. Fifty four percent say they’re embarrassed by it. Embarrassed. Like America is your mom picking you up at school. You’re embarrassed to be an American? Well, guess what? The feeling’s mutual. Because you have no perspective. Is America perfect? No, of course not. No country is. Although, don’t get Tucker Carlson started on Russia. Globalize the intifada is the catchphrase that’s really catching on these days. As if worldwide suicide bombing and cosplaying Islamic revolutionaries is the answer to our problems. At an AOC Bernie Sanders rally in Idaho last month, someone threw a Palestinian flag over an American flag, and the crowd erupted in approval. What should have happened after that is one of the adults on stage should have told their young, loyal followers, this is not a symbol of freedom. This is. If the thought leaders in the Democratic Party keep encouraging and not rebuking the idea that America is cringe and the people who run Gaza are great, the Democrats are doomed. Alyssa Slotkin’s right. Liberals are weak and woke, especially the white ones, and they indulge all sorts of nonsense from their kids, a pattern that then continues on in the Democratic Party. Last election, it was all the gender stuff. the insistence that men can have babies and such. And now I fear that we like the terrorists is the new that. Liberals need to push back on the dumb ideas that come from their children. The Democrats’ problem is the energy of the parties with the young and the younger with the terrorists. That’s not good. So talk to your children and remind them you don’t really want to live like your heroes in Hamas. All you do all day. It was all made in America. Your smartphone, your grub hub, your freedom to about America. That’s all American stuff. You tell your phone you want a milkshake and a guy brings it to your house. Please. You couldn’t survive a week living in Intifada ville.

Gosh, that’s so good. How great is that? And he’s right. If you haven’t noticed, Democrats, your party is weak and woke, particularly the white liberals in your party, particularly the boomers. You’re listening to your liberal kids, and you’re acting like children yourself. Our friend Katie Gorka, the chair of the Fairfax County, Virginia GOP, stopped by the show to talk about a serious discovery they made on paper ballots in Virginia for next month’s elections. You guys have uncovered something at the Fairfax GOP office about the Fairfax County’s Office of Elections. They created mail-in ballot envelopes with a huge flaw. Walk us through what you’ve uncovered, Katie.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, well, let’s talk about the fact that we’re still having to live with all the changes that were put in place under COVID. So one of them is we still have 45 days of early voting. Go figure. But the other is no excuse absentee ballots. So a lot of absentee ballots get sent out in Virginia. And what we just discovered last week is that there is a punch hole on the envelope that is supposed to be an aid to the visually impaired. And it just so happens that that punch hole lines up perfectly with the little voting bubble you would fill in if you were voting for the Republican attorney general candidate, Jason Mayores. And this is super important because I’m telling you, this race has been incredible. Nobody thought the Republicans were going to win in Virginia. But because of these texts that came out from Jay Jones, the race has really shifted and Just for example, Winsome Sears was down by 17 points in May. Today, she is within the margin of error. So she’s down by only 2.2. And actually, Jason Mayores, the current attorney general, is now five points ahead of Jay Jones, the Democrat candidate. So the fact that you can see whether a ballot has been submitted in favor of Jason Mayores means… postal workers or, God forbid, even election workers could just pull that ballot and chuck it. And people are really, really concerned about this. This was a huge, serious mistake.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, voting in America contains a sacred principle of your ballot being secret. And if it’s not, then you’ve got anybody who can get in, see who you’re voting for, and toss your mail-in ballot into the trash. This takes me back to this ongoing argument, this never-ending argument I have in my own brain over mail-in voting versus in-person voting. Because, frankly, I think the Republican Party in general, writ large— We hurt ourselves when President Trump and Republicans said, you just got to show up. You got to show up. Don’t engage in the mail-in ballot. The problem is the Democrats have perfected early in mail-in voting, and they’ve got an advantage over us. So I think it feels like President Trump has sort of evolved on that subject. And he’s like, well, let’s go down any path we can. You’ve got to flood the ballot box any way you can. But where do you conclude on that issue, Katie? What do you think should be the proper course of action for a voter in Virginia, especially considering what you guys uncovered with these flawed ballots?
SPEAKER 07 :
Look, we just tell everybody, you know, we’ve got to just play by the rules as they current exist. If mail-in ballots are going to be used today, let’s use them to our best advantage. You know, one of the advantages of mail-in ballots from our perspective is it’s much easier to track down the people who haven’t sent them in and to encourage them to send them in. So I don’t think they’re terrible, but until we can get back in power and get rid of them altogether or break Bring it back to a place where you have to have a legitimate reason for why you need an absentee ballot. You know, the bottom line is absentee ballots are one of the easiest ways to cheat. We just hear constant stories from around the country of, you know, an empty location where 12 absentees absentee ballots are showing up, right? What’s happening with those absentee ballots? So what we are telling voters here in Fairfax County is still go ahead and send in your ballots, but just make sure that your vote is not showing up through that little hole. You can just put your ballot in in the opposite direction or bringing it in person or come vote in person. So there are ways to protect the privacy of your vote. But just we want people to be cognizant of this problem. And we want people to get out and vote. This is a super, super close rate. Republicans can win this, but we need people to come out and vote.
SPEAKER 05 :
You got to show up. You got to be engaged. And Katie, as we’re talking, I just got a text message from California. Mike, they’re doing the exact same thing with the punch holes and the way they line up in California, too.
SPEAKER 07 :
For the Proposition 50 vote, which is the big controversial redistricting vote in California. Absolutely. You know, and I have to tell you, when I saw this mistake in Fairfax County, I just thought, you know, human error, right? But when I heard that the exact same thing is happening with the Prop 50 ballot, Mike, it’s enough to make you paranoid.
SPEAKER 05 :
Finally, you know what it means if someone calls you Karen, right? Well, not everyone finds that funny. I got an email yesterday from Alan in Georgia. He actually wrote a couple of times. He’s so upset about me making the use of the word Karen. You know what a Karen is, right? Karen is typically a white woman who’s upset and is screaming that she wants to talk to the manager. Karen is somebody, Karen has become well-known in the lexicon and kind of the vernacular as somebody who is a kind of a shrew, you know? Somebody who’s complaining that she didn’t get the right sauce with her french fries and she’s going to write a letter to the manager or jumps out of the car and yells at you because you’ve driven too fast or you’ve driven too slow. It’s, you know, Karen. It’s an expression that people use now. Here’s an example. And I would think if your name is Karen, you’d have a sense of humor about it. I would think that if you’re married to somebody named Karen, you’d have a sense of humor about it. Because it’s kind of funny. Karen. Oh, there goes Karen. You’re being a Karen. Here’s Alan from Georgia. My wife and I are conservatives. Been Republicans for decades. I managed a congressional campaign. A few minutes ago, Mike was talking about that awful teacher who went bang-bang to the kids with the Charlie Kirk sign. My sweet Christian wife is named Karen. Mike called this awful woman a Karen. This is uncalled for and ridiculous. He owes an apology to every nice woman named Karen. pejoratives have no place on the show. Now, I don’t want to make fun of Alan. I just don’t. I would just, with love and with affection, because, Alan, I appreciate you and Karen listening to the show, and I know your wife is a lovely woman. You’ve got to lighten up a little bit. You just have to have a little bit of ability to laugh. Have a little humor. Everything is so serious. Everything is so devastating. And everybody’s so angry. And it seems to me that if… And maybe, in fairness to Alan, it sounds like they’ve been married for a long time, so maybe Alan is a senior. Maybe Alan doesn’t know that Karen has become a very widely accepted, popular way to describe… Some, you know, woman who’s a typical white liberal shrew. Some hen. Some crow.
