SPEAKER 09 :
This is Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 08 :
You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
SPEAKER 09 :
With your host, John Rush. My advice to you is to do what your parents did.
SPEAKER 17 :
Get a job, sir. You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same, and there’s a big difference.
SPEAKER 12 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 17 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
SPEAKER 14 :
It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush. Presented by Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning.
SPEAKER 17 :
I am Hans. And I am Franz. And we just want to pop your loss.
SPEAKER 09 :
Welcome to Health and Wellness Wednesdays on Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 11 :
Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, sir.
SPEAKER 09 :
I have what doctors call a little bit of a weight problem. I used to grab bear claws as a kid, two at a time, and I’d get them lodged right in this region here.
SPEAKER 16 :
Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t shoot their husbands.
SPEAKER 01 :
Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
SPEAKER 10 :
I’m sorry that I’m fat.
SPEAKER 15 :
All right, Health and Wellness Wednesday, Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Thanks for listening. Michael Bailey joining me now. He’s usually here on Wednesdays from 2.30 to 3, so we’ve got him to hang around a little bit for us. So, Michael, how are you? I’m good. How are you, John? Always a joy. I’m doing well. All right, talk to us about end-of-year planning. I talked about this a little bit in regards to Al, Gold Leading on Financial. You kind of come into play on this as well because folks need to think about certain things at the end of every year. Sure.
SPEAKER 10 :
I mean, interviewer planning with Al Smith and kind of the financial planning or tax planning is something that I know that is a good thing to do. I mean, estate planning, if you can do it at the end of the year, great. If you do the beginning of the year, great. If you do in the middle of the year, great. I really hope that you’re not trying to do at the end of the year because I hear over Thanksgiving there’s a whole bunch of people who… pass away either for traveling or because they get sad or just it’s it’s one of those weird things like statistically more people die like thanksgiving the day after thanksgiving heart attacks than other days um you know hopefully that’s not what we’re trying to plan for yeah exactly because i don’t want anybody to uh lose a loved one over the holidays but you know end of your planning you know if just It’s the same as other planning. Get that estate plan put in place. If your kid’s going off to college, power of attorney for them.
SPEAKER 15 :
And really quick, for some of you along those lines, you might be thinking, well, okay, yeah, they are, but maybe that’s not until next fall. Well, when do they turn 18? They may not necessarily be leaving for college till then, but there’s kids, as you know, teenagers, as you know, Michael, that can turn 18 in their senior year of high school, and that could be happening in the first quarter of the year, for example, or something along those lines. Reality is, once they’re of that age, you don’t have the same parental rights you used to have, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
Right. And also then, there’s the timing issue of you know, you’re right now, you know, end of the year, you’re like, Oh yeah, you know, kids going to go off to college in August or September of next year. And we don’t even know where yet. Cause we have, we’re, you know, waiting on, um, applications and admissions decisions and things like that. But then you get into next semester and last, last everything and finals and then graduation parties. And then, Oh, now it’s summer and we’re going to, We’re going to play, and we’re going to do all the last things. And then the week before you’re about to go off to college, you’re like, oh. I didn’t get this done. We should have done that. Right. Well, if you set up the appointment now, even if you set it up for middle of the semester, end of the semester, sometime in the summer, then it’s done. Because life sneaks up on you. I mean, you know that. I mean, I’m looking at it going, you know, I did my show about it, put my Christmas lights up this last weekend. Likewise. And so, you know, I’ve got my Christmas lights up and I’m like, cool. Because, you know, normally I do them the first two weeks of November, but I didn’t have that option because of what I was doing. So suddenly I’m… You know, we’re a week and a day from Thanksgiving. And I’m like, oh, yeah, I got to get those up. Fortunately, the Colorado weather was 60, 70 degrees and I’m out there. And my wife came out and she’s like, man, I got to take this. you know, vest off. I’m getting hot out here in the sun. I’m like, it was beautiful. It was great. Yes. And then, you know, nice and windy on Monday to, you know, challenge the staking of everything down. But when you have your timing, even if you don’t do the planning at the end of the year because of the timing doesn’t work. I mean, And I’m really not encouraging people to be like, hey, somewhere between Christmas and New Year’s, if you go ahead and do your estate plan with me, that’d be great. Because between Christmas and New Year’s, most of us are just trying to make it from Christmas to New Year’s and enjoy our holidays. And I don’t want, you know, I’m not trying to push that. But if you’re going to plan ahead, you know, the end of the year is a good time to be like, okay, you know, I had that New Year’s resolution from last year to get it done. Now it’s mid-November. I can’t. So maybe… call me and call Michael right now, set up an appointment and we’ll get it done. You know, hopefully, and you know, I mean, you know, John, as well as I do, um, set it up so that it’s 10, 15, 30, 40 years down the road. You’re like, hey, I’ve got to set it up. I need it. But you don’t want to be rushed and trying to get it done last minute.
SPEAKER 15 :
No, and folks, I can’t stress enough that, again, end of year, people plan all sorts of things. People look at, okay, what are you going to do for vacation next year? What am I going to do with this? Yeah, I’ve got these resolutions I want to do. I’m going to clean out this or do whatever. Michael, just X, Y, Z. I’ve got these things on my list. My point is… these sorts of decisions you need to have on your list as well and be looking at, okay, number one, do I have one? Number two, do I have kids that are gonna need something that are getting of that same age? And then last but not least, number three, for some of you where maybe you’ve had one done in the past, but how old is it and does it need updated? Really, any of those scenarios, sit down as you go from now until the end of the year and look at where you’re at. And if need be, call Michael, make an appointment, and get rolling in the beginning of next year. Right.
SPEAKER 10 :
And if you’re standing in line outside of coach to get a really cheap handbag, you’re like, I don’t have anything. I’m going to be standing in line for a half an hour. Call Michael. Leave me a message because I’m not working Black Friday. There you go. But leave me a message. I’ll call you back. Right.
SPEAKER 15 :
Easy enough. Yeah. Thanks, folks. We make this. Michael makes this about as easy as possible. Point being, too, that I want to make sure that we’re sharing with everybody. Yeah. If you’re somebody that’s in an emergency and you need something done by the end of the year, I’ll tell you right now with anybody, not just Michael. That’s going to be really difficult to do because we’re into Thanksgiving week next week. There’s three weeks after that till Christmas, and then you’re at the end of the year. So chances of you getting something done by the end of the year right now with anyone is probably slim to none, Michael. Right. It’s going to be tough.
SPEAKER 10 :
I mean, for me, it’s going to be not possible. I’m scheduled out past Valentine’s Day at this point. But, you know, you get the process going. You know, it’s one thing if you’re calling rush management to say, hey, you know, the snow is falling. That’s different. We need the snow. Do you have an extra truck or two that could stop by on the way? And even that is a little dicey this time of the year. Right. Because it’s just like you. Everything fills up. Uh-huh. But, you know, it’s a little bit different. Oh, the snow is falling. You know, I mean, my next door neighbor actually is like, you know, came up to Carter and said, oh, so can I count on you to shovel? Because he travels a lot. So he said, can I count on you to shovel the walk when it snows? Or do I need to find somebody else? And my 13-year-old’s like, yeah, I’ll do it. There you go. He pays him 30 bucks. Good answer. He pays him 30 bucks a time to go. Good answer. To go, you know, 30 bucks to mow the lawn, 30 bucks to shovel the walk. And for a 13-year-old, that’s big money. Good job.
SPEAKER 15 :
No, that’s exactly right. All right. So for all of you listening, please go through this process, the end of the year stuff. And we’ll talk more about this even as we go through December because that’s kind of what we do this time of the year. And it is that time where it’s the new year. It’s a renewal time. People are looking at different things and so on. And it’s a reflection even of, okay, what I do this past year. And as we all know, the older you get, the faster time flies. And it’s very, very true. So along those lines, Michael, how do folks get a hold of you?
SPEAKER 10 :
You can call me at 720-394-6887. Once again, that’s 720-394-6887. You can find me online at mobileestateplanning.com, or I hear that anywhere that they can find you. If they find me, they find you. So drive.
SPEAKER 15 :
dashradio.com, rushtoreason.com, klzradio.com. Literally, folks, and I mean this, any place you find me, you’re going to find Michael. And I really do. I encourage you. After going through a lot of things this last couple of years with my folks and medical things and different things that have come up in that past time frame, believe me having things dialed in makes it’s already a hard time as it is having things dialed in makes things that much better when it’s all said and done and i was talking about that this morning with somebody had that not been done michael it would have made things even much worse than it already was so having that done makes a world of difference Yes, I don’t know that you would have been super keen on doing your radio show. No. No, folks, no. Michael just brought up a great point. There was a lot of things that I was able to do fairly quickly, even after some things had happened, because I had a lot of things in order and I didn’t have to deal with things that a lot of families would have normally been dealing with. No, to your point, Michael, because of the work on the front side, I was much better off on the back side and able to do things that you wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, it allowed you to continue to live your life and do what you need to do, plus the extra work. Absolutely. Great point. Whereas if we didn’t have anything done, you’re like, well, do I need to take some time off to do this? What do I need to do?

SPEAKER 15 :
Back to Rush to Reason. And we are back. Health and Wellness Wednesday. Thank you all for joining us today. I appreciate it greatly. Our next guest who’s with us on a periodic basis, Shanice Ireland, joining us now. Shanice, how are you?
SPEAKER 05 :
I’m doing great. How are you doing today, John?
SPEAKER 15 :
I’m doing great. Always a joy to talk to you whenever I see your name come up. It’s always great anticipation. You always give us great information and just love your attitude towards life and everything that you do. And I guess we should start there, Shanice. How do folks follow you? I do. So how do folks follow you?
SPEAKER 05 :
Oh, I’m so glad you asked. Instagram’s a great way, just at Shanisty Ireland. I got to admit, my YouTube channel, I’m really trying to ramp that up, so I’m going to be putting a lot of Thanksgiving and holiday content on there. So it’s also Shanisty Ireland. So basically what I tell folks, if you Google my name… That’s the best way to find me. That’s where you can find all my content. I also have a blog, She’sBecomingDomestic.com. But again, you can just Google Shanice D. And you can find all my recipes and fun stuff just by finding me through my name.
SPEAKER 15 :
Nice. I appreciate you saying that and giving folks all that information. Next week, Thanksgiving, a week from tomorrow. Some folks will start working on things even next Tuesday or for sure Wednesday, depending upon… their traditions and how many people they have over or whether they go someplace else and they take something with them, all sorts of scenarios there. Talk to us a little bit about Thanksgiving and some recipes that folks might want to try to maybe speed things up or lighten the load, maybe is the best way for me to say that, Shanisty.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, I think that some of those things, absolutely, you can go ahead and start even this week. You can throw some things even in the freezer, such as casseroles. Those are really easy things that you can just throw together. And I’m talking the sweet potato casserole, even the cheesy potato casserole. If you want to go ahead and put all of those ingredients together, but don’t bake it. Just put everything together, freeze it, and then, of course, you know, several hours before you’re actually going to bake it, pull out of the freezer to make sure it thaws properly. That is something easy that you can put together well before you’re going to have your Thanksgiving. Also, some of those pie, the doughs, even the bread dough, you can go ahead and start making that now well before Thanksgiving. You can even do that a couple of days before Thanksgiving. On your Thanksgiving, some of those things are just going to really lighten the load. That way, the day of the actual turkey, you’re just taking care of the turkey, perhaps the mashed potatoes. I’m not really a fan of making the mashed potatoes ahead of time. I think they’re better day of, personally. Same with the stuffing. I usually do the stuffing the day of, and that’s kind of the recipe I’m going to be talking about today. But a lot of those things, even the green bean casserole, some of those things you can go ahead and throw together a couple of days before Thanksgiving. just to kind of make it easier on yourself.
SPEAKER 15 :
One other thing I want to throw at everybody, because this is just a reminder, some people tend to forget, and then they end up kind of behind the eight ball, and that is if you bought a frozen turkey or you plan on buying a frozen turkey, rule of thumb is you need to unthaw 24 hours for every four to five pounds. If you go buy a 15-pound turkey, you need three days, Shanice, to get that thing unthawed. Meaning, if you’re going to do anything along these lines and you’re going to cook either Wednesday or Thursday, depending upon what your family schedule is like, you really need to get that out of the refrigerator either Saturday or Sunday. Or into the refrigerator, out of the freezer, into the fridge Saturday or Sunday.
SPEAKER 05 :
Right, because once it’s fully thawed, it can only stay in there, as you mentioned, just for a few days. That’s right. Because it will not stay great. And that is really great information because the last thing in the world we want to be doing is making all of our guests sick on purpose.
SPEAKER 15 :
Now, I’ve made this mistake in the past only once whereby you didn’t give enough time to have the turkey unthawed, and now you’re dealing with a partially frozen turkey. And when you do that, to your point, things just don’t cook the way they’re supposed to. You’re trying to get things to unthaw faster. It’s a mess. You’re better off to have it. You know, really, as far as the refrigeration goes on a turkey, you’re better off to get it unfrozen. Even if sat in the refrigerator for one extra day, you’re not harming anything in the fridge. It’s still cool enough. You would be fine. The key is making sure it’s fully unthawed before cooking it.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, for sure. And even, you know, and also, if you are not the one preparing the turkey, I really want to point out, you know, help out your host and ask, just be very blunt and ask what you can do to take something off of their plate, literally. And I don’t even mean, no pun intended with that. Yeah, that’s right. Whether it is as simple as the dinner rolls or whether it is straight up the green bean casserole or something, because… It takes quite a feat to host a Thanksgiving dinner, whether it’s just for a handful of people or whether it’s for 20 or 30 people. It is a lot of work because you want to have all of the fixings. You want to have the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. So ask them what they can bring. It will make you feel better about bringing something, and it will help your host know that that’s one thing they don’t have to worry about.
SPEAKER 15 :
That’s exactly right. No, great advice. I appreciate you saying that. Talk to us about some of the recipes. I know I’ve got one in front of me. A lot of folks will do stuffing and stuffing can be done with, of course, bread. And we’ve got a great bread company that we’ve talked about in the past. Give us some some tips on that, if you would.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, so this year I’m going to try something new. Bakehouse bread. I absolutely love this company. I’m going to be honest with you. We I was sent five loaves of this at the beginning of the school year and I even froze a few loaves and my kids love this stuff. The zucchini bread. They’ve got a cranberry bread. They have a pumpkin flavor, absolutely splendid. So this year I’m actually going to choose to make stuffing with the pumpkin bread to kind of give it a little bit of an additional Thanksgiving flavor. It’s going to be a little bit on the sweeter side. Still going to choose the traditional ingredients, the pork sausage, onion, chicken broth, butter, all of those ingredients that we make with stuffing. But I’m going to use four cups of cubed bakehouse bread, pumpkin bread for this. instead of using the other kind of bread that I typically use for stuffing. I’ll let you know how it goes, but the recipe is splendid and wonderful, and I’m hoping that my guests love it as much as we do.
SPEAKER 15 :
And for those of you listening, you can purchase that bread locally. We’ve got it locally in some of our stores here around the Denver metro. Really, we’ve got a quad state area. You guys can buy those there. You can also go to BakeHouseBreadCompany.com. Although, if you’re going to do that, you probably ought to do it very quickly because getting it in time might be a little bit dicey. King Soopers locally does carry it as well. Now, I do know this because I’ve interviewed them before, Shanice D., King Soopers is going to have maybe one or two or three different flavors, quote-unquote. They have a lot more on the website. So those of you listening, if you want something a little bit more unique, go to the website and order it.
SPEAKER 05 :
Absolutely, because they have cinnamon swirl, pumpkin, as I mentioned. They have all sorts of fall and seasonal flavors that you might not be able to pick up at King Soopers. King Soopers is probably going to have the zucchini bread, which is actually America’s number one zucchini bread. It’s absolutely delicious. That’s their best-selling bread. That’s probably the one you’re going to be able to find. But if you want something more unique, as you mentioned, you probably want to head over to the website.
SPEAKER 15 :
All right, last thing, Shanice, for you, and not necessarily in my notes, but you’re really good at giving people tips and tricks and so on. And, again, this can be a very fun but yet stressful, hectic time of the year. And a lot of folks will even have a better time on Friday, Saturday, Sunday once the holiday is actually over. They’re eating leftovers and so on, which that’s a whole other discussion in and of itself. But reality is the holiday itself, depending upon whether you’re the host or you’re actually bringing something or whatever, reality is holidays can be really great or they can be really dreadful. Give us some tips on how to make them not so dreadful. In other words, how do we take some of that pressure off?
SPEAKER 05 :
I think we just need to slow down and understand that this is just one day. And whether you’re dreading it or whether you’re looking forward to it, the day will come and it will pass and we will all survive. And if you have small kids, make sure you have plenty of activities for them because, let me tell you, they’re going to get bored with just watching football and enjoying adult beverages as the adults are going to do. They’re going to get bored with, you know, what the adults are going to be doing. So making sure you have plenty of things to entertain them and making sure that you do the things ahead of time. I can’t stress that enough. Okay. so you are not stressed the day of. And just trying to soak it all in and making those memories. And whether you have an opportunity to ask everyone what they’re thankful for, as cheesy as that is, or whether you have a special tradition that your grandmother started, those are the special things that you’re going to remember. You know, I know sometimes families can be stressful, but just keeping in mind it’s one day to slow down, enjoy it as much as you possibly can, and we’re all going to survive. And before we know it, John, it’s going to be 2026, and we’re going to be talking about New Year’s resolutions, and we’re going to be in the depths of it. of winter and wanting warmer weather, so it just flies by so quickly.
SPEAKER 15 :
No, it really does. And thank you for those tips. I think, you know, for folks even where maybe you don’t have a lot of little kids around, but they will be because of the holiday. In other words, maybe you’re a grandparent, you’re still hosting, and you’ll have your young grandkids around and so on. And most of you pretty well have a good idea on, you know, how all that works, although sometimes… We tend to forget that. Again, you get so caught up in the holiday itself, Shanice, that sometimes those are things that sort of get overlooked. So that’s a great tip when it comes to younger kids, making sure that they’re occupied. And then lastly, I want to ask you this. When it comes to food for them, a lot of them will eat the same things the adults eat. But isn’t there other things we can be giving them even throughout the day to keep them occupied?
SPEAKER 05 :
When it comes to food, absolutely, because my kids will just eat the dinner roll. I know I joke about that, but absolutely, yeah. I mean, some kids will actually eat the turkey, but having the macaroni and cheese casserole, that’s a really big hit with my kids. You can have noodles, you can have… You could even have chicken fingers for them. There are other things that you can do to make it more kid-friendly without souring the actual Thanksgiving idea. And we do cut out sugar cookies in the shape of turkeys that makes it a little bit more festive. So there are some other things that you can serve because a lot of kids aren’t going to go for stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy. Okay. Mac and cheese, chicken fingers, noodles, all of those things are usually a big hit with kids.
SPEAKER 15 :
Awesome. Shanisty, again, I always enjoy having you. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your entire family. I’m sure we’ll talk again before Christmas, but I really appreciate you and all you do for us.
SPEAKER 05 :
Thank you so much. Happy Thanksgiving to everybody, and we will chat again soon.

Back to Rush to Reason. And we are back, Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Yeah, make your Thanksgiving as enjoyable as possible, folks. And, again, a lot of things that Shanice talked about there. Yeah, do whatever you can on the front side. Try to make things a little bit more less stressful, maybe is what I should say, more enjoyable. And do that by prepping. Do some things ahead of time. Get other people involved. Don’t be too proud to ask for help. I mean, there’s a list of things I could go through along those lines. And just remember, last but not least, It doesn’t have to be perfect. I know a lot of ladies out there really want it to be that way, and I know that you feel it’s a reflection upon you. Here’s the deal. At the end of the day, it ain’t going to matter. No one cares. It’s all the fellowship and the time together and so on that really matters at the end of the day. Trust me, when it’s all said and done, even if something does go wrong, nobody’s going to remember that unless it’s some major tragic thing. But Even then, you make a lot of fun of it, have a lot of fun around it, don’t worry about it, and keep moving along and just enjoy the holiday and try to take the stress out of it. And Michael Bailey was right earlier. Between now and Christmas, I don’t have the stats in front of me. I guess I should have pulled this up. I just didn’t think I’d be talking about it right now. This is one of the most depressed times of the year for a lot of different individuals. And the reality is you have to understand that going into it. So at the end of the day, you know, enjoy the holidays and so on. All right. Question of the day. Let’s do this really quick. Yesterday’s was what part of the. Yeah, what part of the cell contains genetic material? That’s the nucleus. Today’s a possible question of the day. What is the heaviest naturally occurring element? Answer that on our Facebook page. That is the question of the day. Julie E. joining us now. Julie, welcome. How are you?
SPEAKER 06 :
Hi, I’m great. Thank you so much for having me.
SPEAKER 15 :
I appreciate it very much. No, thank you for joining us. And our topic today is basically looking at the overlooked root cause of chronic health issues, and that is scar tissue, and frankly, something I wouldn’t have thought about.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, it’s not something talked about. I’ve been trying to popularize it over the last couple of years, and it’s one of the reasons I’m here. I think people don’t realize that When you’re born, you’re this, like, perfect little, like, a brand-new car. Right. And how many dents does it take until you’re a lemon? Okay. You know, until you have some health problems.
SPEAKER 15 :
And, again, in my interview, I’ve been doing this particular hour episode for about a decade now, interviewed all sorts of people, as you can imagine. through the course of that decade. And yeah, this is a topic that frankly, and when I saw this come across my inbox, it’s like, yeah, okay, we need to talk about this because I’ve never even thought about this. I’ve never had anybody talk about it. And you’re right, when we’re born and we’re young, you know, everything is, you know, quote unquote, perfect as much as it can be, of course. And then as time goes by, things start to happen. So talk to us about some of that. Number one, some of the scars that actually would happen in the scar tissue that runs around that, And then on top of that, how does that impact our energy and our hormones?
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, well, if you think about, you know, when kids fall, the medical scenario is like, let’s check them for make sure there’s no bleeding. But now that we have energy medicine so popular, just think about it from an energetic perspective. They had like a big dent and a big trauma. And just because you think you’re fine, you know, dads are like, get up, you’re fine, keep playing. Like, it doesn’t mean you need to heal from it. We need like it’s an injury. And so if you don’t get mega doses of nutrition at the time, then it may not heal thoroughly. And then that trauma is now like healthy, unhealthy cells. And those unhealthy cells are duplicating. And now you’re getting a little area where your body’s like, hey, like, We got hit. The fascia is tight from the fall. And now it’s going to start pulling like maybe it was on your left shoulder. But now we’re going to pull on your neck and your right shoulder and the fascia is going to like hold this tight grip. So suddenly someone might have like an issue with their right hip or their ovary. And no one would ever think about the fact that it’s the fascias pulling like all the way from the top of the left shoulder, like tugging on another part of the body, causing that other part to be weak. So, yes, it like the pain and the tension in your physical body wears you down energetically. And then over time, because your body’s not healing, it’s now nutrient deficient, and that is wearing you down, and it’s like you’re rusting on the inside, but you can’t see it on the outside until it’s super problematic.
SPEAKER 15 :
Sure. No, and by the way, everything you just said makes a lot of sense. Again, I’ve never heard anybody really talk about it in this particular way. So given that we know that this can be the cause, I mean— And things just happen. I mean, I don’t think I can be—I think it’d be wrong for me to say that, you know, there’s just no way to protect everybody. Things are going to happen. It’s the world that we live in. You’re going to have trauma at times, to your point, even, you know, kids falling down, or people can have car accidents, or in your case, in my notes, we’re talking about even— You know, ladies giving childbirth, C-sections, things like that. I had back surgery when I was 22 years of age. There’s just things that happen, and to your point, sometimes out of our control, but once they do, we have to heal from that.
SPEAKER 06 :
Correct. That’s the most important thing. And so big picture, we want to take care of our kids, and we want to take care of ourselves. When we get an injury, that’s when we want to do the higher doses of vitamin C or zinc. And so I’m trying to get people to think differently about their health and to feeling themselves the moment traumas happen. Oh, I’m too cool. I don’t need it.
SPEAKER 15 :
Right, right.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know, heal yourself so it’s not a problem 20 years later. It takes 20 years to take down a full organ or gland at least. And so care of our kids. So when the injuries happen, like double, quadruple, quintuple your vitamin C, make sure you hydrate, get enough good quality salt, make sure you go to the bathroom, sleep. And I use castor oil topically right away on those injuries. You know, back in the day, we might have thought neosporin, but we’re going for like castor oil with as long as it doesn’t have hexane or any, you know, other essential oils like mint and you know you can mix that with almond oil just get nourish the area topically internally so it’s not a problem later in life and then if it is a problem later in life we will also dive into mud therapy and When it happens, we could also do mud therapy. It’s just a little bit more of a process than the quick little things I mentioned.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay. And I’ve got a couple of questions along those lines because there’s several things that I see in my notes that you do that we talk about periodically here on the program in this hour. Mud therapy, though, never have talked about that. That is something that I’m about as green as green can be. Walk me through that.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay. I mean, it’s really all of the things we do are like from what our ancestors did, right? Hunters, gatherers, feast or famine, we’re starting to realize they were on to something. And so mud therapy, like in the army when people get a battle wound, they pack it with mud, which is the earth used to have tons of minerals in it, mineral site infection, and it’s cool and soothing. So if you pack a bullet wound with mud until they get to the site where they can get some help, it prevents major infection and it keeps it cool and soothing. So it’s like not on fire. And so we’ve learned over time that if you use mud, you can physically detox a site topically. So we use, it’s exactly like it sounds like a mud pack. It looks like chocolate pudding when you mix two ingredients together and they’re basically earth nutrients and earth minerals and they’re electrons and they pull the toxins out of the body, which are, the positive, right? So they’re opposite charge. So it acts like a magnet. You put it literally like on top of your knee. I have people use it on their liver, gallbladder, kidneys, intestines, like their detox system. You put the mud pack on, you tap the skin, give it a little stress so that the bottom most layers secrete out their toxins. The mud acts like a magnet, pulls it out, you wash it off and you feel better. instantly better and increase circulation, and so we use it all over the body.
SPEAKER 15 :
Interesting. Again, I’ve got texters texting in right now, never thinking about how scar tissue and things along those lines could continue to be, you know, just an ongoing problem. And by the way, thank you all for texting. I appreciate that you’re learning as well as I am today because these are things that I by no means am an expert on. And not that I’m ever an expert, by the way. I kind of play one on the radio sometimes, Julie, because I – Interview a lot of different people. So I learn a lot from those of you that, you know, that I’m close to in this in this regard. But this is this is really news to me. So I guess question I have here in this whole Denver Front Range area, we cover about a four state region here with our signal. Where do people go to get this done?
SPEAKER 06 :
That’s a great question. You want to go to a practitioner that does mud therapy or you can, because they’re few and far between, there’s only a handful of us that are comfortable with doing this or skilled and educated. I have mud therapy courses on my website that are in the neighborhood of $30. And then you can buy the supplies on my website and I walk you through and I teach you how to do it in a health building sequence. Some more things people don’t think about. How many times have you stubbed a toe? We have times where someone’s toe is causing their gut issues. And so it doesn’t matter how much work you do on the gut. We got to go heal the toe. So I kind of walk people through. You can do toes, fingers, detox organs, and then your actual chief complaint is, already starts to feel better because your detox organs are getting rid of the junk. And now it’s like they’re like, hey, we have vacancy. We’ll take all the toxins out of your shoulder. And now your shoulder feels better because it can dump the stuff into there. So those are two options is search for a mud therapist or check it out on my website.
SPEAKER 15 :
And what I don’t have your website in front of me that wasn’t in my notes. What is it?
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s Julie, J-U-L-I-E-E. So a second D. Yep. Health. Health, the thing everyone wants, dot com. JulieEHealth.com.
SPEAKER 15 :
Put that in my notes, and that way if anybody wants to know, we’ll send them right there. Okay, I also see in my notes that, and this is one thing we do talk about periodically, I’ve got a doctor that’s a sponsor that’s really big on this, and that’s the whole peptide biohacking end of things. How does that work in conjunction with what you’re talking about, or does it?
SPEAKER 06 :
That’s a great question. So I want to point out that About 20 years ago, I had reversed my telomeres by 30 years. So I did that before biohacking was even a name. And I did it through using mud therapy. So I just want to really point out to people that are out there focused on all their biohacking and peptides and things that I call phytochemicals. sprinkles when most people haven’t done the foundation. The foundation is so incredibly important and powerful. So I’m open to peptides. We use them. I have 15 pieces of biohacking equipment. I’m using one of my lasers while I talk to you. All of that is fabulous, but it really comes down to making sure your detox organs are working correctly and you have a biofield and then you address your scar tissue and going in and out of a sauna or a cold plunge is or taking peptides will help to heal for sure. In and out of a cold plunge and a hot sauna is not going to fix the scar tissue, but the peptides might. So I am definitely, people are deficient in amino acids. And so if they can’t afford peptides, Start taking amino acids right away, and then you can get into peptides, which are more pricey.
SPEAKER 15 :
Great advice. No, I appreciate that. But, yeah, those of you that are listening, anybody that’s done that, yeah, the peptide thing, and depending upon the quote-unquote cocktail of them that you would take, yeah, not cheap at all. It really depends on what you need and what your body needs. Personally, I think everybody needs them. It’s a matter of what do you need, and that’s where you need an expert like yourself to help with that because peptides, don’t know that most people would know on their own exactly what to do the whole mud therapy thing though Wow learning lesson there I had no idea I will definitely go check out the website look at it and you can I’m on your website so I can buy the mud and everything I need from you correct you can yep you can drop right into the drop-down menu for shop you go into the everyday essential store and there’s a mud therapy kit right there okay and then if you go up into the DIY section you find a
SPEAKER 06 :
a bunch of courses. There’s about 10 mud therapy courses.
SPEAKER 15 :
Awesome. This is great, great information. And as you can tell, we’re fairly familiar with a lot of the anti-big pharma, anti-big health insurance, because the reality is those guys want you sick, not healthy. We’re anti that. We want people to be healthy, and in a lot of cases, doing it on their own outside of the two organizations I just mentioned, because if you use those two, you’re liable to never be well.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. You know, so my website, again, is JulieHealth.com. And I’ll just tell you that 30 minutes before I jumped on the radio, a woman rear-ended me and she said, oh, my gosh, I’m so sorry. I’ve been depressed and I just started taking a medicine and it’s making me crazy. So there you go, people.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, no, no, you are spot on on that. Again, something we talk about here quite often and I interview, you know, I don’t want to say that these are, you know, alternative individuals because I really want to say it should be more mainstream. Now, if you’re into big health and big pharma, it’s going to be alternative, of course, Julie. But at the end of the day, I don’t look at it that way. I’m learning more and more that there’s so much we can do on our own. for our own health. But the reality is, and even me learning from you today, we’ve never been taught this.
SPEAKER 06 :
We have never been taught. I wish we learned about, I wish we learned Pilates in elementary school because that’s how you move your body in space. It shouldn’t be expensive and out of reach when you’re an adult and necessary. And we really need to learn about food because parents are just they’re so busy with all their stuff they just like feed their kids crap and if we put up a big stink and now Doritos and Pepsi is making everything colorless they’re taking the chemicals out so if keep shouting from the rooftops that we want health not illness and covering up the problem that’s right I think it’s I think that there’s a handful of us out there that are really pushing for like get back in touch with nature touch the earth breathe fresh air see the sun and Eat real food from the earth, not filled with pesticides and chemicals. You know, your body is a smart machine. It’s a battery. Everything you put it in touch with either charges you or drains you. So if you think about it that way and then you balance it out like a checkbook and hopefully you have like a high balance where you’re like, I’m putting things that charge me. That’s how you’re going to start healing. And people are afraid of like vitamin C now. They’ll be like, oh, I got an injury. I took 500 milligrams. When you’re injured, you need like 50,000. Don’t be afraid. Megadoses of nutrition is what is required to heal when you actually have an issue. The RDAs were to prevent deficiency. It’s like the rock bottom of what your body absolutely needs. It’s like oil in your tank and gas in your engine. And beyond that, you need megadoses.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, I’ve learned even, I’ve had several doctors on, one that we’re very close to, where vitamin D, for example, most of the medical community will tell you that, oh, you’re okay if you’re in that 40, 45 range, you’ll be good. That’s less than half of what you really need to have the proper dose of vitamin D. you know, proper amount of vitamin D in your body. And again, we have been taught really, even the medical community is backwards on some of this. Then you have to start not going down some conspiracy, you know, rabbit hole, but then you start asking the question, why? And my belief is why is because really the medical community at the end of the day, I’m not saying doctors are all this way or nurses are all this way, Julie, but I do believe the core of the medical system is to keep us sick, not healthy.
SPEAKER 06 :
Absolutely. I mean, when I got my master’s in nutrition from the number two school in the country, I had to work in the kitchen in the medical cafeteria. And those doctors eat crap and they eat tons of it. And they’re not health experts. They’re sick experts.
SPEAKER 07 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 06 :
They’re wellness experts out there. And I always say you can choose to pay for wellness now or illness later. That’s right. But if you’re afraid. like pay for like healthy food and you have to eat it fast food well guess what you’re going to pay a lot more money later trying to undo the problem you’ve just you’re right you know and just do and and the truth is as the pharmaceutical industry grew like they sponsor the medical school so the medical doctors are taught medicine they’re not taught health so most of when i went to grad school there was no not one nutrition course required by any medical school any medical doctor program ever And I know that that’s changed, but they get one semester of one course. They’re not health experts, people. You go to them in case of life or death, and thank God you have medicine for those moments. But if you think you’re going to take a medicine to keep anxiety away or to help you go to the bathroom, And that’s not going to fix the problem. It’s just going to make it a fake healing for a moment.
SPEAKER 15 :
You’re right. You’re right. You’re spot on. You can tell you’re in good company here. I want to add one more thing to what you just said a moment ago because you probably know this. Most of my listeners do because I’ve mentioned this so many times. It’s ironic or not. probably not ironic because it was planned this way, once the cigarette companies knew that they were in trouble and they were no longer going to be able to produce the poison, basically, that they were producing in cigarettes, guess what they did? They went out and bought up food companies instead, and the majority of food companies today are owned by the old tobacco companies.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right, and if you trace all of the stuff that we were eating, it’s like organic, like siete chips, like oh, finally, there’s, like, healthy chips. They’re made out of cassava and almond, and they make tortillas and all that. Well, guess what? They just sold to Pepsi for a trillion. So, like, when you trace it down, there’s 10 companies that own everything you buy and eat.
SPEAKER 15 :
You’re exactly right.
SPEAKER 06 :
So you have to find the small mom-and-pop companies and hope that they don’t sell. I mean, it’s kind of a tough position for them to be into. Trillions of dollars or working your tail off.
SPEAKER 15 :
That’s right. And I can’t blame them for doing what they do, but to your point, that means you’ve got to go find another substitute.
SPEAKER 06 :
Now we’ve got to go find another small and mom and pop until they sell. That’s right. You know, when the company has something to tell you that because they put so much extra care into what they make that you trust that it’s like really organic and clean, they’re going to tell you. But I meet these companies. I go to the food shows and the trade shows. And when I ask, well, where do you get your like natural ingredients? If they’re like, oh, I don’t know, then I’m assuming it’s a chemical. But if they’re like, oh, we specially process these lemons and we squeeze them and da da da da. then that’s when I know you can count on this company to do their absolute best to take care of you.
SPEAKER 15 :
I appreciate your time. It’s been great. For those of you listening, again, juliehealth.com. There’s two E’s there, so juliehealth.com. Julie, again, I appreciate you joining us very much. I’ve learned a lot, and I know our listeners have as well.
SPEAKER 06 :
It was my pleasure. Thank you so much. You’re very welcome.
SPEAKER 15 :

SPEAKER 04 :
What if you could get over 110 lab biomarkers tested, just like Dr. Mark Hyman advertises, but for a fraction of the cost, and with a doctor who actually explains the results? At Castle Rock Regenerative Health, Dr. Scott Faulkner has recreated this powerful biomarker test panel at a substantial savings. For the month of November, we have a special price for both men and women. Just $689. That’s a savings of over $2,500 over the standard price. And here’s the difference. With Hyman, you get numbers on a page. With Castle Rock Regenerative Health, you get Dr. Faulkner and his team walking you through every result, showing what’s off and creating a personalized plan to fix it. What’s even better, you don’t even have to be a concierge patient to get this pricing. This is open to everyone. Think about it. Most people’s deductible is higher than this special price. And your regular doctor, if he could get approved by your insurance, would never order this many tests, let alone know what to do with them. Call 303-663-6990 today or visit CastleRockRegenerativeHealth.com. That’s 303-669-6990. Take control of your health at Castle Rock Regenerative Health.

Suck it up, buttercup. Back to Rush to Reason. And we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Okay, before I say anything else about our last guest, I have a special request or an announcement, I should say. My little granddaughter, Emma, it’s her birthday today. So, Emmers. That’s my nickname for her. Emma, if you’re listening, which you should be, happy birthday. Papa loves you very much. Very proud of you. And happy birthday to Emma. So love you very much. And any of you, by the way, that ever have a request for a birthday, especially for something along those lines, always let me know. I’m more than happy. to do that for any of you listening some of you in the past have done that I’m always always more than happy to help you guys out in that area so Emma anyways happy birthday love you very much and just you keep being a good girl like I know you already are all right somebody else asked me when it comes to the whole question on the mud therapy and all of that and I can already tell you from Looking at her website, I didn’t get into this with her because time and so on. But the red light therapy, you hear me talk about that a lot on the National Crawford Roundtable because we have a great sponsor who, by the way, I feel has one of the best red light therapy tools. And there’s multiples of SunPower LED. And they have a plethora of red light therapy products. items, tools, for example, a helmet for your head. They’ve got a palm handheld device, a couple of them. They’ve got a complete bed. Anyways, they’ve got multiple ways of actually doing red light therapy. And I just know enough from talking to the owner and actually owning one of their devices that, yes, in fact, it does work. So some of you have actually bought the devices as well. And by the way, I should just mention, I know they’re not a sponsor here, but they are of our Crawford Roundtable, National Crawford Roundtable. Go to sunpowerled.com. And when you go to check out, just put in Roundtable 10 and you get a 10% discount. Now, the Roundtable will get credit, but if you get a chance to tell them that you heard them on Rush to Reason, by all means, please do that as well. I appreciate that also. But they have some great… tools and yes in fact they do work and the difference between their red light therapy tools and a lot of what you see in other places amazon and so on is it actually works it’s got the right wavelengths and intensity and the owner tom has done a really great job of understanding how all of that works and putting that into devices that actually you can buy and then use at home and yes indeed it does work so yes one of you asked if i would talk about that so there you go i would add that into the litany of things that we actually heard from Julie E. when it comes to supporting cellular health and so on, because Tom’s red light therapy, SunPower LED, does work at that cellular level. And yes, I have a device, and yes, in fact, it works extremely well. All right, before we end here, Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning, let me get them in really quick. SPEAKER 15 :

I do my best to try to find guests that, frankly, aren’t in other areas, other shows and so on, like the one we just had. And I will tell you that while I was 10 years ago skeptical of a lot of the things that we actually talk about on the program here on a regular basis, not anymore. from some of the therapy we talk about to peptides and so on do these things actually work absolutely they do and again dr scott has a lot of the things that we’re talking he doesn’t do the mud therapy but all of the other things red light and so on he does all of those things and you’re always welcome to call scott and just say hey i’m having this issue and i’m looking for a solution what are your thoughts and he’s always there to help you with that i can’t say that enough and again let me give you his number really quick for those of you that want a direct source 303-663-6990. That’s Dr. Scott’s number. All right, that’s it for Hour 1. Hour 2 is next. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 08 :
I’m a rich guy.
