Good afternoon, John. Thanks for having us back. Great to be with you.
SPEAKER 05 :
Always, always a joy. All right. Talk to us about how we become Americans instead of Americants.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, and part of the reason I wanted to do this this week is next Tuesday is the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. And a lot of people forget that it was three years after that before the Declaration of Independence. And three years before this event was the Boston Massacre. So there was a long period of time building up to the Revolutionary War. But those Sons of Liberty… exercise their American do spirit in protesting that tax on tea, and it displays our American exceptionalism.
SPEAKER 05 :
All right, let’s get into it. There’s a lot of dates here. I’m not sure we can get to every single one. We should be able to get to the majority. Let’s just get started and see how far we get.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, these are just examples I put in of how the Americandu spirit, which is unique in the world, and there’s a reason for that, starting with Columbus and the pilgrims, half of who died the first year here, after the Tea Party, Lexington and Concord, the Declaration of Independence. I mean, you look at our Constitution, Lewis and Clark Expedition, The Civil War, which not only the war, but coming back together after the war took that can-do spirit in our country that was unique as well. And so, so many other events, landing on the moon, President Reagan’s inspiration to us, so many other events there that I wanted to at least outline and illustrate that prove this theory. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER 05 :
And there are a lot, and you rattled off quite a few of those. And not to get completely off track, but part of why we’re talking about this right now is with everything we have going on in our world today, do we as Americans still have that same can-do spirit?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, I think we do. And the unfortunate thing is we used to all want to see America succeed and be the best it could be. Democrats, Republicans, everyone. And then there was a split where one group wanted to see that, and it seems like another group would rather have us just be ordinary people and be global citizens as part of some global government and have America not be the focus of our attention. And that’s what’s different, in my opinion, now than it used to be. And I believe that as founded, our country was the best opportunity for individual citizens in world history. And I think if we restore that, we will regain that individual liberty.
SPEAKER 05 :
How far away from that do you think we are?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, I think we’re not as far away from it today as we were a year ago. And that’s my great hope. is I think there’s an emphasis now on restoring. And again, our founders gave us individual liberty. The people that want us to move toward a global citizenship or government, they talk about collective liberty. And so if you want to be free individually, you want to be like the founders founded this country.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, you know, great point. And not to get completely off on a rabbit trail, but really some of what you’re talking about right now or what you’re talking about right now is literally the difference in the belief systems in the two factions, if you would. And I get it. Not everybody in each faction. particular party believes exactly that way. But, you know, the Marxist movement, Richard, is to, you know, really take away the individualism, take away God Almighty, put government back into that position of power. In other words, government is always the answer. And I think you’re right. We do have a trend right now that’s going in the opposite direction of that, saying, no, Mr. Government, you know, you actually are the problem, not the solution. And that is not the Marxist way.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, exactly. And one of the things about the socialism and Marxism-type movement, it sounds so good on the surface, it sounds good in theory, and it sneaks in and catches up on people and puts a head fake on them, to use a football term, and suckers them into accepting it. And by the time they realize it’s there and how bad it is, it’s too late. And that’s why it’s so important and why I’m beating the drum and so many other people are beating the drums. to protect what we have. And people are coming here illegally, as they have the last four years, wanting what we have, but they’re bringing what they had before here at the same time. And we need to protect what we’ve got and not give it up for what these people left behind.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well said, and you’re right. And again, folks, please, at the end of the day, remember, there is a great battle going on. Richard, this battle’s been going on for quite some time. In fact, let’s face it, we’ve been battling some of these things, you know, realistically since the founding of the country. I mean, there was a civil war that realistically was over some of the very things that you and I are talking about, not necessarily Marxism, although… You know, it sneaks its way into your point, and then it just continues to build and build and build, and that’s where we are right now. And fortunately, we’re doing a good job of pushing that back. I guess ultimately the question for me, Richard, is I feel like we’re doing a good job right now. Will that last?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, I hope so, and that’s why it’s so important for us to train our children and grandchildren because we can’t depend on schools to do what they used to do. Even the Pledge of Allegiance that used to be said every day I think is not said as much now, and part of the reason why is I don’t think they want us to pledge our allegiance to the republic for which it stands for. Agreed. They do not want an American republic. They want us to be part of this bigger global government and be ordinary subjects of it, if you will.
SPEAKER 05 :
I had a conversation with some folks the other day talking about, for example, cursive, cursive writing in schools today, and the fact that it’s not even being taught anymore. Now, when I was a kid, you had… penmanship, and you had to learn cursive, and you had to write in cursive, and there were certain things, even papers you turned in, that they had to be done that way, and that’s gone. And I said this, and the folks that I was talking to, I think, realized that this is a correct statement. That’s all, Richard, by design, and I believe it’s by design, because if you can’t read cursive some of the original documents which were written that way, you’ll have no idea. It’ll be gibberish to you. You’ll have no idea what they say.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, that’s exactly correct. If you can’t read it, then you have to rely on someone else reading it to you, and they can do whatever they want. And the greatest example is the Declaration of Independence. Our experiment is in self-governance. How can you self-govern if you can’t even read the founding documents yourself? and be able to know if they’re still true or not.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s right. And again, I do believe, folks, I’m not trying to get way off track here, but this is a battle, and part of that battle, Richard, is fighting against some of the things that I’m even talking about. For those of you that are out there listening that have kids and grandkids, and by the way, there are now, with the advent of everything regarding, you know, the internet and AI and so on, Richard. There’s so many tools now that really could teach kids on the whole cursive end of things, you know, how to quote-unquote write. That’s kind of what we’ve misconstrued that name, if you would, but writing back in the day was actually that cursive writing, Richard, and we’ve lost that. But for those of you listening that have kids and grandkids, you can still instruct them in that.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, yes, and I think our best education is the one that we give to ourselves by continuing to learn after we get out of school and becoming the best person we can, not just relying on becoming the best person the government school says we are.
SPEAKER 05 :
Absolutely. Richard, you’ve got lots of books, things, especially as we give you a few minutes here, because we go through this Christmas season. Some people are always looking at, man, I never know what to get so-and-so or maybe they have a young person in their life and they’d like to do something different from them, different for them that would actually be super meaningful and maybe even be a game changer for that individual. And they left that out, which changed the whole context of the story. And we need our kids knowing the heroism of our forebears.

Putting reason into your afternoon drive, this is John Rush.
SPEAKER 05 :
All right, we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Real quick, and most of you have noticed this, but there’s an article out this morning, Denver 7, talking about Colorado’s gas prices. And we have among some of the lowest gas prices in the country. In fact, I think we’re number two is what I was reading this morning. Now, this is something that, by the way, is in spite of the left. And let me explain. And this article even talks about it because we have our own refinery here in the Denver area, which, by the way, the left would love to see shut down. They’d love to see that go away and not even exist. Keep in mind, that’s what’s keeping some of our prices down. So get rid of that. Prices are going to go up. So we are actually 50 cents a gallon cheaper than the national average. 50 cents. And again, a lot of that can be attributed to the fact that we actually have a refinery here in the Denver metro area. By the way, not every city has that. In fact, there’s a lot of cities out there that don’t have that. They either have to truck by tankers that fuel in. They do it by rail. Some of them have pipelines. And it gets very expensive when you do that. The other thing that’s happening in the Colorado area is we’ve got a lot of growth in in the big box retailers. Charlie and I can look out the window and see different gas stations that have really popped up here in the past couple of years, and it’s because of those additional stations and the competition there that they’re lowering fuel prices because they know that they don’t make money selling fuel. Maverick, Quick Trip, Murphree Express, and so on, they don’t make money selling fuel. Very little, folks. The majority of their money comes from you going in and buying a coffee, a candy bar, or whatever. Or a pack of cigarettes, or a vape, or… I mean, I don’t know what people buy. I don’t go to a gas station, so… Even if I get gas, for vehicles that I drive that actually take diesel and gas, I’m one of those weird people that I never go in. In fact… I don’t think I’m wrong in saying this. I’ll bet you in the last 12 months I haven’t been inside of a gas station, a C-store, convenience store that sells gas. I’ll bet – I’m trying to think back to memory. I’ll bet I’ve been in twice. Twice. in the last year. That’s it. I just don’t make it a habit of going in. And part of that is, hey, there’s nothing in there for me to buy. Everything in there, by the way, is way overpriced. So if you want to go buy something that you actually need that’s in there, go somewhere else where it’s actually at the right price. And I’m not trying to ditz Maverick or Quick Trip or Murphy Express. It’s a convenience. And I know a lot of people go there. They get the convenience and so on. And I get that. I understand that. I know why they’re there. Everything from sunflower seeds to beef jerky to a hot dog to whatever. I get that. Even sometimes you might get a pint of milk because you need that on your way home. Okay, I understand. It’s convenience. I get that. But I don’t use that. Keep in mind, you guys all know this or you should by now, I have a phobia. It’s called fear of running out, Foro. And most people don’t have this, but I do. Because I have that condition, I don’t have to stop at Quick Trip or Murphy Express or whatever to get anything on the way home because I already have it. In fact, probably have extra of because I don’t run out because I have that fear. And it is a genuine fear. And you can ask my wife. It is a genuine fear that I actually ask any friends, family, anybody that I know. Yes, I have that fear. Charlie knows I have that fear. I’m one of those where if I think I need one and that one might go away, I’ll have two. Or if it’s a staple item and I get somewhat low. In fact, I was texting and asking some questions even coming into the program today of, hey, we’re low on such and such. What should I order? Because that’s what I do because I don’t want to run out. So I am the non-demographic customer that the Murphy Express’s Quick Trips and Mavericks would be looking at because, A, I don’t buy fuel. Seldom do I. And, B, if I do, I don’t go inside the store. In fact, I’m one of those where if I pull up to a pump, If I’m needing gas and I pull up to a pump and it won’t take my credit card, I’m leaving. I won’t go inside the store and pay. That is just outside of my wheelhouse. I know I’m weird, but I won’t do it. Not even Buc-ee’s, Charlie. No, not even Buc-ee’s. Here’s another true story. I’ve been to the Buc-ee’s in Texas multiple times because my brother used to live down there. I’ve never been to the one here. I should stop in someday. I just haven’t. And now, if I was to get gas at Buc-ee’s, would I pull into a regular parking spot and probably go in and check it out? Yeah, I probably would. But now that’s an event. To me, if you’re going to go do that, that’s an event. I’m just not pulling in there to buy fuel. That’s an event. So I, again, folks, I rarely ever go in. And, I mean, for me, to go in would probably be to use the restroom. That’s why I’m going in. I’m not going in for, honestly, I’m not going in for any other reason. There’s just no reason for me to be inside of a convenience store, period. Now, I know, I’m weird. A lot of you have that ability to do. But point being, why are fuel prices low? Because they’re looking for customers that aren’t John Rush. Because they know if they can get that person to pull into the pump, they’re liable to walk inside the store and actually buy something that they actually have a good profit margin in, and that’s not gasoline. So, again, I’m one of those individuals that I just never go inside of a gas station for any reason. I have no reason to go in. So I am not of that demographic. But because we have so many of those, like I said a moment ago, that’s another reason why our gas prices are as low is because they’re competing for your business. And a lot of you listening do go inside of a convenience store. Joe, go ahead.
SPEAKER 10 :
John, just a little data point for you. My daughter works in the food section of Penn State. Do you know what, excluding the maintenance on the machine and the labor to change out, do you know if you just total up the cost of the syrup, the cup, the lid, and the straw, and the CO2, you know what a cup of soda will cost them?
SPEAKER 05 :
A dime?
SPEAKER 10 :
Twelve cents.
SPEAKER 05 :
Okay, that wasn’t too far off.
SPEAKER 10 :
So, yeah, 12 cents. Now, yeah, there’s other costs. Now, there’s maintenance on the machine.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, not cutting all that, but just the raw cost is 12 cents.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, they’re direct costs per cup. You take the syrup, the water, the CO2, the lid and the straw, 12 cents.
SPEAKER 05 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 10 :
And you’re paying, what, $1.50?
SPEAKER 05 :
Or more in some cases.
SPEAKER 10 :
For a 12-ounce cup.
SPEAKER 05 :
In some cases, Joe, you might be paying as much as $2.50 to $3 for a particular soft drink.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, you know, and particularly, and that’s in the stadium when they have a football game or a basketball game.
SPEAKER 05 :
It’s even more than that there.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, absolutely. So, you know, that’s why when they get you, when these stores get you in, like they say, you know, like a two for five dollar, like a hamburger or, you know, whatever. They don’t include the drink.
SPEAKER 05 :
They want you buying that drink because that’s their highest profit. That’s their highest profit item they’ve got.
SPEAKER 10 :
Right. And the way you win, by the way, you go and you get the two breakfast sandwiches for five bucks and bring your own coffee.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s right, and leave. Don’t buy anything else. And again, we are the anti, you know, the demographic that they’re looking for, Joe. You and I do not fit into that in any way, shape, or form because of everything I said a moment ago, even what you just said a moment ago. But we are unique because most people fit the demographic of what they’re looking for.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, it’s convenient. They don’t carry, you know, they don’t carry… you know, water or other drinks in their car, you know, and by the way, I don’t like, I try to stay away from soda.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, me too.
SPEAKER 10 :
I just keep, you know, water in my car and, you know, so I’ll go, I’ll just get the sandwich and I try to stay away from the fries. So, you know, and I rarely eat at fast food. And like you, John, I rarely, I’ve probably gotten gas, well, I get most of my gas at Costco, by the way, so I’m not going in. So there’s no quick check to go into when you pull up to the pump at Costco. And if I’m on the road, John, I don’t go in. I’ve got everything I need in my car.
SPEAKER 05 :
Exactly. Yeah, and for me, somebody’s saying get a Costco card for gas. They don’t sell diesel, of course. Yeah, by the way, not a bad deal. For me personally, though, I’ve got to be near one. I am not driving. I’m this guy as well, Joe. I’m not driving out of my way to buy gas. I’m not that. guy i will not drive you know three or four miles out of my way just to save money on gas it’s not that big of a deal to me i don’t care at the end of the day and that’s even when i’m driving a gas you know gas powered or diesel powered vehicle diesel of course is even different than gas but joe yeah i i am probably the most unique demographic that these guys are looking at because i don’t do anything that the normal person would do uh i think that makes you a bit stronger and we’re probably not alone like that Yeah, there’s probably others. And that’s where, you know, frankly, for these folks that are looking at, you know, how do you get a dime out of, you know, John’s pocket or Joe’s pocket? Truthfully, Joe, they’ve got to do things differently because I have no desire to walk into a convenience store at all. Zero.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, I’m trying to think when the last time.
SPEAKER 05 :
I’ve been twice. I mean, I can think of two times in the last year and one of them was use the restroom.
SPEAKER 10 :
I was just going to say that’s the last time I went to a convenience store was to use the restroom.
SPEAKER 05 :
Now, and I feel like, you know, I can use the restroom. I bought gas, so, you know, I’m still, you know, doing my part. I don’t believe in just pulling up and walking in and leaving and not doing anything because I think that’s bad for their business. But, yeah, if you’re filling up your tank or doing whatever and you want to go and use the restroom, you know, be my guest. But I think for me, Joe, I think that’s the only time I can think of that I’ve actually walked in because otherwise I just don’t. I mean, again, there’s no reason for me to stop.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and that makes sense, John. But unfortunately, well, fortunately for the gas station operators, Guys like us, we’re in the minority. We’re the majority.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, I know that because as I pull up to get fuel, I watch everybody walking in and out, Joe. So, yeah, you and I are definitely the minority.
SPEAKER 10 :
And in Jersey, John, we still have you still can’t pump your own gas in Jersey.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, right.
SPEAKER 10 :
And so so when I pull up and I look, if there’s if there’s four pumps at the four cars at the pumps, the other three are empty. It’s just me sitting in the car.
SPEAKER 05 :
I’m also one of these guys where I’m avoiding the line guy. That’s me, Joe. So if I roll by any station, including Costco, and there’s more than a car or two deep, I’m not stopping.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, John, that makes two of us.
SPEAKER 05 :
I feel like in my case, my time is far more valuable than just sitting there in line. And that’s why I probably don’t do, well, A, fast food isn’t good for you, so I don’t eat it anyways. But Joe, I’m not a line guy. I do my very best to not mess with lines.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and I happen, you know, there’s a Costco about a mile and a half from my house, and I drive by it most of the time. And I also happen to know that if you get there before 830, there won’t be a line because they don’t open the doors till 9. So, you know, I’m typically there, you know, 730, 715, and just, you know, blow right through. There’ll always be an open pump at 715.
SPEAKER 05 :
Gotcha.
SPEAKER 10 :
And you’re up early, too, I assume, right?
SPEAKER 05 :
Oh, yeah, very, as you know, absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah, and again, thank you for that, too, because even when I drive vehicles that are gas or diesel powered, I time my fill-ups so that I’m not there when everybody else is. Again, I’m a guy, Joe, where I value my time and I’m not waiting in line.
SPEAKER 10 :
And I’ll pay an extra 10 or 15 cents, John, to avoid the line.
SPEAKER 05 :
Me, too, because my time is worth more than that.
SPEAKER 10 :
You know, 15 gallons of gas, 10 cents a gallon extra, that’s $1.50. I’ll pay the $1.50. Yeah, and not waste my time. Not waste my time.
SPEAKER 05 :
Absolutely. Yep. Joe, thanks, man.
SPEAKER 10 :
Later on, I sent an email. You want to talk later on, not right now, about the 9,000 CDL drivers who couldn’t speak.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, we can do that. I’ll have time at about 5.15 or 5.20. Let’s do that.

It’s been a little bit. Glad to be with you. Glad you’re here. All right. So there’s all sorts of things to talk about. Where do you want to start?

Well, I mean, I’ve been really, you know, kind of riveted by this, the migration, immigration thing. uh you know front and i think that you know finally trump is really coming out president trump is being a little bit more direct and forthcoming about um just the fact that immigration really needs to mass migration let’s say uh really needs to be curbed needs to be cut short because uh for many different reasons obviously but i think that that’s really been a hot spot recently
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, but I think what’s really brought this to light, and you tell me if I’m on the right track or not, but when you look at the absolute, utter theft, American taxpayer dollar theft that has gone on in Minnesota from the Somali families and folk that are there that were basically abusing those systems. And I saw – I forgot to talk about this the other day, but I saw the other night an interview – of a tsa agent a whistleblower that has come forth and has said that for the longest time she would see literally uh you know briefcase suitcases full of cash it was all documented so there wasn’t anything they could do about it but literally suitcases of cash that were leaving the country with these types of families and she’s literally just shaking your head wondering where is this money coming from well i can tell you where it came from sunny you and me
SPEAKER 03 :
That’s where it came from. That’s absolutely wild. I think that there’s something much deeper going on here. We’ve discussed the crippling effects that the mass migration from South America has had on our country. But I think that on the whole, we’ve just been completely bamboozled into not realizing that… that mass migration has actually been happening for some time now. However, I did see a statistic recently that was showing that actually between 1920s and 1970s, immigration actually was at a low, was at an all-time low. It was actually on the decline, and American families were actually on the incline. And it kind of lends itself to discussing the social issues aspects of winning the World Wars and all of the things that happened in those 50 years and that building American families and growing American families, let’s just say, adds to American prosperity and success and wealth, of course. And I think that that’s why we are in such a critical moment at this juncture because mass migration in America has been on the rise and the growth of American families has been on the decline, of course. And we’re seeing that actually across across the world. And I think it’s just people don’t really want to talk about the fact that a lot of these cultures don’t really assimilate into American culture, that the reason that American culture is so different is because it is about the American dream. It is about not bringing certain aspects of other cultures here. In fact, embracing freedom, embracing the fact that, you know, you can have your heritage, but also you’re allowed to have other Whereas in other countries, if you don’t follow suit with what that type of culture requires or asserts that that’s the way to do it, that you will be met with swift recourse. And so I just think people are finally waking up to that. And it’s just it is very sad that we’ve just been absolutely taken advantage of as the taxpayer, as mentioned.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, absolutely. And, man, I tell you what, there are lots of memes and things out there today where folks are not very happy at the fact that this stuff has gone on. In other words, there’s folks out there struggling, families that are struggling today, trying to handle the things affordability-wise and so on, and yet they’re reading about the billions of dollars that have literally, in a lot of cases, exited the country. In some cases, these suitcases full of cash suddenly have gone to terrorist organizations. As well. So at the end of the day, yeah, people I don’t think are very happy about this at all. And I think it’s right for Trump to actually get on this bandwagon right now, given all of that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Absolutely. And I just think that this concept is like translating into different ways, too, because then I heard. I think I sent you something about Representative Jasmine Crockett, but I heard her say recently talking about reparations. And she was, you know, kind of a similar concept where it’s like, oh, well, you know. Let’s just give people the cash because, you know, they deserve it or something like, OK, because you’re a refugee. OK, because you’re, you know, an African-American or ended up like you without even knowing, actually, if you’re a descendant. That’s right. You know, who cares? It doesn’t matter. You’re a black person. So you deserve reparations. Like what? Why? How? Like this entitlement, this idea that because it’s it is America. Oh, we’re supposed to, like, you know, take the shirt off our back for like decades. people who have come from these cultures where it’s like, what about your culture? Like, do you not want to build up your own culture? Do you not want to build up your own nation? What about the fact that your governments are corrupt? Like, is that any of your interests? Or is it just about, you know, taking advantage of the American way of life and really taking it for granted? Not just, you know, kind of on the outskirts, but like truly a total infiltration operation of our of the benefits that this country has offered, you know, it’s people for so long. And it just says here, you know, 72 percent of Somalis live in social rented housing. And this is obviously in. Right. Yeah. So, you know, I mean, there’s just statistics all over. You know, you can find just like all of these things where, like you said, just reaping the benefits. And it’s quite devastating. Yeah.

All right, I’m going to play this clip. I’m assuming – I didn’t watch all of it, but I’m assuming it’s clean. I think I watched enough of the captions to know that there’s no bad words, Charlie. Yeah, I think like the first part of it. I think we’re good. Yeah, I think we’re good. So, Charlie, keep the don’t button around just in case. But basically, this is a clip because – Make sure that I’m right on this. But Crockett, who’s now going to run for Senate, challenged somebody to go and find a clip of a Democrat invoking violence. So that was her question. Well, guess what, Sonny? Somebody actually did. Let me play this.

I mean, it’s just absolutely, it’s just asinine. I mean, we have to really call a spade a spade. And it just seems to me that she just really has those talking points on the back of her hand. And that’s it. I mean, it’s just outrageous. They have been ones. That’s their entire M.O., as being on the left is, you know, creating a chaos. That’s how they push through their ideas.

That’s right. And again, for those of you listening to want to make sure that I’m clear on this, Charlie and I were talking about this before we came on. I think right now she’s got about a odds are about 20 percent chance of possibly winning. Keep in mind, she’ll keep her representative seat while she’s actually running for the Senate. So she really isn’t. You know, she doesn’t have a chance really, Sonny, of losing out anything if she does this. And really, at the end of the day, this is a way for her and the Democrat Party to basically go out there and, you know, not only make more of a name for her, but have more talking points because she’ll get a lot of press because of who she actually is. Whether she does, you know, whether she wins or not, their feeling is we’re going to get press out of this no matter what. So mark my word on that. That’s what they’re looking for here.

Absolutely. And I feel like, you know, being a senator feels a little bit more stable, you know, feels a little bit more long term, feels a little bit more like they’re setting her up for, you know, a more long term.
SPEAKER 05 :
If she somehow happened to win, you’re right, really quick. And for everybody that maybe doesn’t understand what Sonny’s talking about, if she were in fact to win, I don’t think she will. But if she were in fact to win, senators only campaign every six years, not every other year, Sonny. So, yeah, they have a much more stable environment to operate out of.
SPEAKER 03 :
Absolutely. And it would help their cause immensely because it really doesn’t matter whether what she’s saying is true or false or it sounds good or it sounds insane. It’s just that there are people who just, you know, oh, yeah, whatever. They just, you know, she just continues to spout off and oh, yeah, Jasmine Crockett. They have no idea what she’s saying, but it’s like she’s she’s in there. And like you said, six years was a very long time.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, no, that’s exactly right. So again, folks, don’t be deceived. This is all by plan. I think they know full well, Sonny, that she’s probably got a very slim chance of winning. Not to say they won’t work it hard and do everything they possibly can to get as many sound bites in as possible, because that’s exactly… what they will do throughout her campaign. And again, to your point, she’s being encouraged to do this by most likely those that are in the upper echelon of the party because they know at the end of the day they can get enough talking points out of her, frankly, Sonny, to help other candidates. That’s what they’re looking at here. Trust me on that.

Oh, absolutely. And you know how it is. They all kind of help each other. That’s right. I think that’s the one thing that the left… going for them. And we have seen some interesting things on the conservative side, but we’ll see. I mean, I don’t know. The midterms should be quite interesting.

But I do think there’s a fraction of our audience that believes in some of the conspiracies. involving Charlie Kirk’s death. Well, Erica Kirk is now publicly coming out and pushing back against a lot of those online conspiracy theories. And by the way, not just online. I’ve heard people talk about it publicly, and they’re on social media and so on, which I guess that’s online, of course. But the reality is she’s looking at this saying, listen, I’ve got kids. We want to build a memorial. We don’t want all this stuff flying around. Basically, stop, and can I just have one moment to literally at her words can we just have one moment just one thing that we can hold on to that my kids and my family can hang on to that you guys aren’t i’m paraphrasing that you guys aren’t screwing up she didn’t say that i am because some of you are and frankly some of you really need a heart check when it comes to some of this and i mean that sincerely you really need a heart check i mean at the end of the day yes he was assassinated some of you don’t believe in the way he was frankly i really don’t care what you believe At the end of the day, he’s dead. It doesn’t make any difference. I don’t believe the government killed him. I’m not one of those. And some of you out there are. I’m not. Do I trust our government? No. Do I believe they killed him? No. No, I don’t. You know, are there some oddities around his death? Folks, there’s oddities around every death. And I’ll repeat that. There’s oddities around every death. Some of you really ought to go into the business of being CSI forensic investigators because some of the stuff that I read on social media, you are one or you think you are. I’m serious in what I just said. Some of you really ought to be CSI investigators because you play one on social media. You think you have all the answers or you read this person or that person. And remember, folks, there’s a lot of folks out there. I say this constantly and I mean it. There’s a lot of folks on social media that will post all sorts of things because if they can get you to click on it and especially share it, they make money. The more you click and share, the more money they make. That’s how that world works. I say that a lot and evidently it doesn’t make it very far because some of you still do that. Like and share. And frankly, like and share stuff you have no idea if it’s even true. You may follow somebody that you think is pretty much spot on, so you’ll like and share their stuff. Well, you know, that’ll get you into trouble because it’s not always correct. And there’s some very famous people, by the way, the Tucker Carlson’s of the world, who, by the way, in a lot of cases is very wrong on a lot of what he says. In fact, I’ve said this before. I’ll keep saying it. There’s a reason he’s not on Fox anymore. And frankly, it’s probably because of his views and nothing else, because he’s a wackadoodle. I don’t trust anything Tucker says anymore. Even the good stuff that I know he says at times, I just don’t trust the guy. He’s a flake. Thoroughly a flake. And he’s not the only one. There’s a lot of others that fit that description. He’s just one. Candace Owens, total flake. Out in left field, total wackadoodle. And these are people, by the way, at one time I would have even quoted or even played a clip of and probably did play a clip of back in the day. Both of those I just mentioned. Not anymore. Total wackadoodles. And unfortunately, our side sort of fills up with them. I know it’s on both sides of the aisle. There’s wackadoodles on the left. But man alive, we’ve got our own share. And some of them are in this audience right now listening. So my point is Erica has come out very recently. I think even put some things out today that basically said stop. Stop with this nonsense. And I know that some of these same conspiracies would be the same one saying, well, yeah, she’s having an affair with J.D. Vance. Of course she’s going to say that. And again, I’m just like, you’ve got to be kidding me. Some of you people will grasp at every little straw that you can, and it’s absolutely ridiculous. Literally, it’s ridiculous. I had that message a couple of days ago on the text line saying, do you really think it’s true that she’s doing such and such, or is it just for clicks? I said, just for clicks. That’s total clickbait. They do that so they can get clicks at the end of the day. It’s not true. They don’t even believe it’s true. But again, if they can get you to click on a particular story or a phrase or a whatever, a posting, and forward said posting on any platform, by the way, it doesn’t matter whether it’s Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, you name it. If you forward that, they make more money. That’s how it works. So at the end of the day, some of you really need a heart check and really need to look at, you know, what’s really going on here and why am I behaving in this manner? Because at the end of the day, you’re just, you’re flat out wrong. Dan and Black, I’ve got a few minutes, go ahead.

Here’s a thing. Don’t even be on social media because it’s, all it does is it feeds your mind and it changes your perspective on life. And like you said, most of the stuff, How do you verify it? It’s people trying to get clicks. It’s hard.

No, to your point, Dan, I mean, really, and I get a lot of people that will send me something and say, what do you think of this? And I’ll tell you straight up whether it’s right, wrong, AI, you know, et cetera. But, Dan, it takes a lot of searching daily to be able to have, and I’ll call it a skill, and I’ve acquired that skill because I have to doing what I do here, but it takes a while to acquire that skill.

Yes, and I don’t have time to acquire that skill. So what do I do? I do have a Facebook account, but I think I go on it maybe once every two or three months. And I really don’t care what people’s lives are because most of it is fake anyway.

I bring the things to you guys as an audience that I think are very important and things that I think are appropriate for that particular time and day. Do I bring every single thing I read? No, Dan. And there’s a lot of things I’ll be straight up honest. I don’t read to your point, Dan. I’ll read a headline. It’s like, yeah, that doesn’t fit. I don’t care. That doesn’t really matter to me at the end of the day. and I move on to the next thing. And I do try to bring the things here that I think are appropriate, i.e., in this particular case, Erica making an announcement that, hey, I’ve got kids here. Some of you are completely, especially on the right, you’re completely insensitive to the fact that I have kids. And stop. And by the way, she’s right, Dan.

Yeah, let her live her life. She has to deal with the loss of her husband, even though he was a prominent public figure and had quite a bit of, influence. At the end of the day, it was still her husband who was killed, and she needs to mourn his loss, and people need to stop doing this conspiracy theory and let her mourn the loss of her husband.
