SPEAKER 05 : 0:36
On an equal field in the battle of ideas, mistruths and misconceptions is getting us into a world of hurt.
SPEAKER 14 : 0:44
Is it freedom or is it force? Let’s have a conversation.
SPEAKER 05 : 0:50
Indeed, let’s have a conversation. And welcome to The Kim Monson Show. Thank you so much for joining us. You eat your treasure, you’re valued, you have purpose. Today’s drive for excellence, take care of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your body. My friends, we were made for this moment in history. Thank you to the team. That’s Producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike, Teresa, Amanda, and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting. Happy Monday, Producer Joe. And I know that he said hello, but we are back in the saddle here. And we had prerecorded for last week. I hope that you all had a blessed Christmas. And we’ve got New Year’s right around the corner. And so we will I’ll give you an update here in just a moment regarding the dropping off the petition to Governor Polis’s office last week, calling on him to release Tina Peters, which has not happened yet. But stay praying on that, that he will release her. I wanted to say thank you to the Harris family for their support. Goal sponsorship of the show. And let’s just jump in here. Our word of the day. And this comes from Ginny. Thank you, Ginny. And it’s slothliness. And number one, it could be the state or quality of being untidy or unclean in appearance or habits. The character of a slob. I haven’t heard the word slob in a long time. And then number two, a sloppy or a slipshod quality as of work, research, writing, etc. So this was a sentence from the dictionary. It says, we’ve come to tolerate a shocking degree of slovenliness and illogic in what passes words. for educated writing. So that is our word of the day. It’s spelled S-L-O-V-L-I-N-E-S-S. And our quote of the day, I went to Thomas Jefferson. He was born in 1743. He died on July 4, 1826, 50 years to the day after the Declaration of Independence was signed. And he and John Adams passed on on the same day. And Jefferson was an American founding father and third president of the United States. He was the primary author of the Declaration of Independence. He was the nation’s first secretary of state under George Washington and then the second vice president under John Adams. And Jefferson was a leading proponent of democracy, republicanism, and natural rights. And he said this, and it is so true. The issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history. whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or to be ruled by a small elite. And as you know, we search for truth and clarity on the show by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. Something’s a good idea. You shouldn’t have to force people to do it. And it’s not compassionate nor altruistic to take other people’s stuff. whether or not it’s their rights, their property, freedom, livelihood, opportunity, childhoods, or lives via force. Force can obviously be a weapon, but it can also be policy, unpredictable and excessive taxation, fear, coercion, government-induced inflation, the agenda of the World Economic Forum and the globalist elites, which we are there right now, and taking property under the guise of affordable housing or industrial transmission lines, industrial solar and wind. And this is playing out right here in our own backyard. So we are at a time in history. And as I said, we were made for this moment in history. Something’s a good idea. You should not have to use force to implement it. On the show, we’ll focus on the issues, mention people that are pushing those issues, but stay out of the personality fighting that’s going on. and wanted to say thank you to Hooters Restaurants for their sponsorship of the show. They have locations in Loveland, Westminster, and in Aurora, and great specials Monday through Friday for lunch and happy hour, and of course, great place to watch the games. The Broncos are in the playoffs, and so that’ll be a great place to get together with friends to watch the games. How I got to know them, it’s a very important story about freedom, free markets, and capitalism, and again, I thank them for their sponsorship of the show. Last Monday, I dropped off the petition to Governor Polis to release Tina Peters by Christmas Eve, which he did not do that. But continue to pray that those 4,201 individuals that signed the petition, and that’s really remarkable, from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. calling on Jared Polis to release Tina Peters. We wanted by Christmas Eve. That’s not happened. But typically by this time, the end of the year, since 2019, since Polis has been governor, he has pardoned or commuted sentences for people every year. Last year, he pardoned 22 people. Two of them were murderers. One was a rapist and one was a bank robber. And here we have Tina Peters, who is a nonviolent. She’s been convicted of nonviolent crimes. She is not a flight risk. She is appealing her sentence. Bond has been denied on that. And we do not have minimum security prisons anymore. in Colorado for women. And so a great thing to do at least would be to release her into a federal minimum security facility. And so Jared Polis has a couple of different choices here. And of course, I guess the third choice is to have her languish in prison. However, She apparently had been put into solitary confinement with four guards, and then she was put back into the general population. My understanding is she was entering the general population there. that other inmates actually cheered her because she has a shedding light on really deplorable conditions at this prison. And apparently they’re trying to spruce things up at La Vista Prison in Pueblo since it may be that the federal government will be taking a look at what’s going on in there. And the other inmates really appreciated or appreciate what she has done regarding that. And many of you, several of you sent over Tina Peter’s Christmas Eve post. And it was really, really inspiring. And we really… need to be dedicated to making sure that our elections are free, fair, honest, and transparent. And that is what she is in prison for trying to do. And also there are those that do not want her out because they are afraid of what she’s going to say. And that is a freedom of speech issue. And so Colorado is – we’re earning the moniker Crazy Colorado. I was talking with someone out of state yesterday, and they said, gosh, Colorado is such a beautiful state, but from a political standpoint, we are really in a very destructive mode here. And our beautiful city, Denver, it’s dangerous and it’s really degrading. And so we’ve got to get this turned around. We’re dedicated to do that. So two things have to happen. One, we must be assured that we have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections. And two, we must engage in the battle of ideas. Because if we have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections, but people are voting for socialism – then that’s a real problem as well. So we’ve got to engage in this battle of ideas, which is what we do on a regular basis. And we are blessed with amazing partners to work with on the Kim Monson Show. And I’m talking with Roger Mangan, and first of all, Roger, I wanted to wish you and yours a happy new year and a very prosperous 2026. And let’s finish up regarding this auto insurance conversation that we’ve had. We had a listener that had a question or pushed back on something regarding uninsured motorist coverage, and I think you wanted to clarify that, yes? Yes.
SPEAKER 16 : 9:40
Yeah, this is something that probably needs clarification. When you buy uninsured motorist coverage, normally you are protecting yourself, your income, your body, your body parts from an accident that was caused by an uninsured motorist. So is there any uninsured motorist coverage that protects the physical damage to the car itself? And the answer is no. However, if you have a car, And let’s say you want to buy that coverage. The only way to qualify for property damage to your car is if you do not have collision on the car. So let’s say you have a car that’s 10 years old and you buy the required coverages like liability and maybe medical, which isn’t required, but you buy it. So essentially you want your car protected in case it gets hit by an uninsured motorist. So you can add a $20 every six-month endorsement to your auto policy to provide coverage to repair your car in the event it’s hit by an unidentified or an uninsured motorist. So… It is something that if you had an older car and you depend on that car and it gets hit in total by an uninsured motorist and you want the car replaced, you can actually buy collision coverage, very inexpensive, $20 maybe every six months. I say maybe because it could be $17, it could be $24. It depends on where in the cycle you’re buying that coverage. So don’t confuse that coverage with traditional uninsured motorist coverage, which is more injury, personal injury to you where you get hurt and you need medical attention or loss of income replacement. This is coverage you buy physical damage to the car itself, and you cannot buy it if you have full coverage. It’s only for cars that do not have collision coverage on it.
SPEAKER 15 : 11:45
So… So if you have collision coverage, though, would the damage on the car be covered then?
SPEAKER 16 : 11:52
Yes, it would. And you’d be subject to a deductible, of course, if you have it on your car. And with this particular coverage I’m talking about at the moment, you can buy a 250 deductible or a 500 deductible. I would recommend the lower deductible since the car’s value, when you’re putting this on a car, it’s usually an older car, you drive very, it may be your main car, but it’s a car that you don’t want to be paying a lot of insurance premium on, but you need physical damage coverage because if that car is in an accident, it’s your primary means of transportation. You want to make sure that car can be replaced.
SPEAKER 05 : 12:28
So you can get to and from work. Exactly. Yeah, really important. Okay, so for people to go over their insurance coverage, complimentary appointment, how can people reach you, Roger Mangan?

And welcome back to the Kim Monson Show. Be sure and check out our website. That is Kim Monson, M-O-N-S-O-N dot com. And I’m pleased to have on the line with me Virginia Macha. You know her. She is the founder of Stand for the Land Kansas and standing for property rights, which our property rights are really under assault at this particular point in time under the guise of industrial solar projects. industrial wind projects, industrial transmission lines, industrial affordable housing, all these things. But we’ve got some successes, so we’re going to talk about that and look to the future. Virginia Macha, welcome to the show.
SPEAKER 03 : 14:57
Thank you, Kim, and Merry Christmas to everyone in Colorado, and have a safe and happy new year. We are very excited this year. We have a focus, Stanford to Lamb, Kansas, We have some initiatives in the hopper. And we have many, many local grassroots groups popping up everywhere. So that’s been exciting for us. And Colorado as well. You guys are waking up. And it’s really nice to sit back and watch that happen when people realize their freedom is on the line. So… And it’s been quite a year.
SPEAKER 05 : 15:44
Well, it really is. And Colorado, you’ve been you’ve been in this on this before most people, I would say, Virginia, we are waking up in Colorado. Is it too late? Because we are seeing this agenda of the globalist elites, which is basically they’ve said by 2030 that we will own nothing, and they say we’ll be happy about it. We realize we won’t. But this agenda of taking land for these industrial wind, solar, and transmission line projects out here in Colorado, it seems that it’s like a freight train coming at us right now.
SPEAKER 03 : 16:28
It definitely does seem, when you’re in the mix of things, it seems like the weight is just so bearing on everyone. But it is the collectiveness of a community that stands together. And we see that in Albert County. When local people hold their local government accountable, like your county commissions, you get better results. But then you also bring them to light that it is a fight and that local control is the number one thing that we have to focus on. Government close to the people is the most effective. And so we were, in December, we entertained Matt Gaetz, former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who came to Kansas. And when he came here, he really… had no idea that Kansas or the Midwest was in turmoil. It’s not talked about in Washington. We are just flyover states, according to Washington, D.C. insiders. And so when he came here, a group of people that were hosting a pre-event, enlightened him, and he was most concerned because this isn’t something that the president is on his radar. And this also affects the midterms that are coming up. So him coming here, he said one thing to all of us that made a lot of sense. That Paul Revere, during the time of the American Revolution, only 40% of Americans We’re really wanting to really have that battle, that revolution for freedom. It’s not a popular idea. But because Paul Revere was a small pocket, he was one person who took on a mission and it lit fires, small fires, across the countryside. And that is how the American Revolution was won. small fires big results and so we took away a lot from his visit and he took away a lot from ours but this year is going to be different for stanford land kansas we are going after what can be what can be accomplished and that’s legislation against them at no eminent domain and that can be accomplished by rolling back these tax credits. These tax credits and the property tax abatements are going to literally conquer both our states because the property tax system is what shores up your county budgets. So there has been, you know, a lot of, you know, how did… How did we get to this point, like you asked? And is it really a land grab and a redistribution of wealth? Or is it both? And how was it all concocted? And how does it still go forward? And, you know, when President Trump took office in January, we had a lot of hope, didn’t we, Kim?
SPEAKER 05 : 20:20
Yes.
SPEAKER 03 : 20:22
We had so much hope. that this man was gonna go in there, he was gonna cut off these deferrable tax credits, that we were gonna see a lot of change, and that didn’t happen. And so just analyzing why it didn’t happen, because it’s so convoluted, the system that they put in place. There’s so many things that have been altered. There was so many bureaucrats that President Trump had to face. There’s so many hurdles. When we entered into the lawsuit against Janet Yellen, it was a civil case. We took it to federal court on the point that they were not obeying any of the environmental NEPA rules or any of the rules of the Administration Act. So, these tax credits turned out to be more than we ever dreamed. They are actual real cash sold on the open market for 97 cents on the dollar. These developers are anonymous. They don’t pay taxes on these tax credits issued by the federal government. And it’s real cash. And there’s a lot of foreign operatives. A lot of them not friendly to this nation that are in the mix of this green energy climate change agenda. And so when they say you will own nothing by 2030, it was almost believable, but I don’t believe it’s a doable thing because so many people are waking up and fighting for their freedom. And this redistribution of wealth is hurting families. It’s, um, It’s really disrupting our agriculture, our history of our state. Those things we hold precious like the land formations and things that we want to preserve for generations to come are just being trampled. Our rights are being trampled in speech. Our rights are being trampled in property rights. So people are waking up to freedom means a little bit more than it did last year.
SPEAKER 05 : 22:54
So, Virginia, it seems that these tax credits or these tax incentives, that’s the real bugaboo on all of this. And even when we’ve had Trent Luce on, he’s been frustrated that there’s continued to be permitting for industrial wind and solar. even when the federal government says that they’re going to stop that. But yet, as you said, everything is so convoluted that maybe trying to stop it at the federal level, but we see these workarounds, for example, even just the transmission line here in Colorado out in Elbert County and El Paso County, the county commissioners denied the permit to Excel, but now Excel is trying to do a workaround and get permission from the PUC, which is the Public Utilities Commission. There are three commissioners on that commission, all appointed by Jared Polis, by Governor Polis, and they wield an enormous amount of power over this Green New Deal agenda that’s going on out there in Virginia.
SPEAKER 03 : 24:07
It’s absolutely correct. Governor Paul, he signed on to, he wants to be 100% renewable, so he’s actually taking your reliable energy, your baseload energy, offline. He’s disassembling your gas, natural gas system. And why is that? So where we’re at is federal court. What… We have to tie these things to a court case because that’s when they start taking things serious, and not all of us have the means to do that. But there are people that are willing to file suits, and that is why I did an amicus brief for 1,200 people in less than a week signed on. We have to do our due diligence in what we can do, and that’s inform and educate. activate local people holding their local government responsible and I believe home rule is going to be the next big federal case when these overzealous I I call them overzealous power-hungry globalists have have set up a rigged system for the people of Colorado when people can’t afford any longer to to pay their electric. You have not even received a bill that has the cost of those energy lines, transmission lines, on any electric bill per se yet. And you are paying at least 50% of the cost of construction of those lines. whether you use the energy or not. And so those are federal policies that come down from the Federal Energy Regulation Commission. And I believe that President Trump needs to change out those commissioners. Changing our Federal Power Act to account for these subsidies and to codify them in our law. And it’s a bill that federal government nor the federal taxpayers can afford. Last year, it was $4.3 trillion in subsidies went out of our internal revenue service in the form of subsidies to foreign governments. Right now, we’re over in Sedgwick County. We’re two very, very large 700 kilovolt high Voltage direct current lines are coming up from Oklahoma. And they are coming right through the heartland, farmland. Very, very, you know, it’s densely populated around Sedgwick County. These people became aware of it in the form of a solar farm. And this is just an instance of what those subsidies look like. It’s a 1,400-acre installation of battery and solar. And I had one person that is very good in math. She’s very good in math. That is her, you know, her accounting, and that’s her vocation. And she has made it to these people. It’s 70% of the cost of construction. That’s what the subsidy federally is worth. The developers that were there only get 30% of that. So where did the other 40% go? But that 30% of that installation was worth something like $328,000 per acre. Per acre. That’s a subsidy per acre. Their cut was $100,000 of that. Now, that doesn’t even feel right when they signed leases that were $15,000 an acre or less, $100 an acre or less. So that should give everybody a really bad taste in their mouth. Wow. And this system of it being rigged, it’s just so codified in the law that what do you do? My suggestion was to change the commissioners. at the Federal Energy Regulation Commission, who are changing a power act for reliable and affordable electric for our homes. has now been turned into a weapon. It’s been weaponized.
SPEAKER 05 : 29:18
It really has. Virginia, we’re going to go to break. We’re talking with Virginia Macha with Stand for the Land Kansas. And she’s mentioned this term, wealth transfer. And this is one of the agendas of the World Economic Forum and the globalist elites. And it’s really a wealth transfer from everyday Americans, our middle-class Americans, to these globalist elites. And so we’re going to continue the discussion. We talk about these things because of our sponsors, and one of those is Karen Levine for Everything Residential Real Estate.

She is the founder of Stand for the Land Kansas. And what we’ve realized is the globalist elites have really created a web. Federal government, state government, even going down to the local level regarding the the Green New Deal. And the Green New Deal is, if you really want to connect the dots, and Virginia noted this, the Green New Deal is really the green that is going into interested parties’ pockets, politicians, bureaucrats, and interested parties. And we took last week off, and a lot happened. And things that happen right before Christmas, when people are not paying attention, is important to note, and this is from the Colorado Sun, Virginia. And out here in Colorado, we had something called NCAR, which was the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder. And the Trump administration said that they’re going to dismantle it. And so the two senators from Colorado, Senators Michael Bennett and John Hickenlooper, this is from the Colorado Sun on December 19th. So they threw a wrench in the Senate’s plans to start work on a government funding package before heading home for the holidays. The two Democrats put a hold on the so-called minibus package. over the Trump administration’s decision to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder. And the Trump administration said that NCAR is one of the largest sources of climate alarmism in the country. And so you can see, Virginia, how this web is being worked through by government. Here we’ve got the two senators from Colorado saying they’re just trying to put this on hold and try to get through to the midterms instead of having this dismantled is what I think is happening, Virginia.
SPEAKER 03 : 34:43
Oh, we see the money drying up everywhere. These alarmists are in full mode panic in Kansas. Because everybody’s watching now. And everybody’s counting. And everybody knows how to go to the federal grant administration. And everybody knows the kind of money that’s flowing into the system. And your local governments are realizing the food chain goes both ways. They’re not included in the top of the food chain. They are just another stepping stone that will be stepped over in order to control people and so property tax is connected to all of this because of the tax credits tax credits are hooked to different areas of your state you can go to the um if you go to stanford land we have links there where you can find out if your county is in a tax credit area and some tax credit areas that are based on social injustice economic and social uh disproportionment um that means if if they term your county poor you may have three or four different tax credits federal tax credits uh hooked to your property without even knowing and so property tax is becoming a very rigged system and it’s really got to do with the software that’s driving the appraised values of land In these tax credit areas, we have. So our direct response has been at the county level and we have put moratoriums in. We have put hurdles in where we’re putting everything on hold. The zoning and planning boards, they’re unelected officials also. They’re running rampant with unproven. zoning suggestions and rules and regs that are being passed on to your commission and your commissioners are cart blankly passing those into law as you’re zoning and planning your master plan for your county and land use and so we have put a stop to that in Kansas most counties are putting a halt to any energy data centers the AI race It’s almost exhausting listening to these announcers on the news talking about AI and just being thrilled about AI. Well, these data centers not only get tax credits from our state, they get abatements on property tax.
SPEAKER 05 : 37:43
So an abatement means that they don’t have to pay those property taxes at this time, right? Right.
SPEAKER 03 : 37:51
On anything for 10 years. Some of them are even more than that. More years than that. So can you imagine that if you took a very large portion of your county out of the tax property role? for 10 years, who’s going to make up that tax? The regular Joe.
SPEAKER 05 : 38:14
So once again, this becomes a wealth transfer because your local governments are not cutting taxes, and so they want to continue to have that revenue. So how are they going to make that up? Well, they’re going to the everyday people, the homeowners, the property tax owners. Now, one thing is, and we’ve talked to Wendy Volk, and I think you talked to Wendy as well, up in Cheyenne. Yeah. And from a property tax – from a property rights standpoint, when we’re looking at, for example, this industrial wind or industrial solar, and you have property owners that – for example, there was this wind project. A deal was made with some property owners for an industrial wind project. And the neighbors were not notified until very late in the process. But now that the neighbors know, they’re standing up for property rights. And so one wouldn’t say, oh, the people that made the deal regarding their land for property, industrial wind that they have property rights. This is true. Except when you start to put in all of these incentives and tax credits, then it’s not a true property rights issue because you’ve got the government coming in and saying, It’s the same with affordable housing. These developers that are building these industrial apartment complexes that look like Soviet Russia, and they’re receiving tax benefits to do so. And people would say, well, they can do with their property what they want. But when you have government coming in and putting their finger on the scale with tax incentives or tax credits, it’s no longer a true free market. And And so their property rights are being skewed because of that. And it’s taken me a while to figure this out, Virginia.
SPEAKER 03 : 40:27
Yes, and it does. Well, let’s just take transmission. So if you’re going to do industrial wind or industrial solar, that’s great if you want to do it on your land. But how are they going to get the power out of there? Well, they use transmission. And transmission comes along with eminent domain. And the cost of that transmission line is passed to all of the utility rate holders that use any electric. Whether that electric is brought to your local provider or not, you’re, as a user of electric in the state of Colorado or the state of Kansas, you’re paying for the construction of that line. And that is a at a hidden cost because those are cost plus jobs the transmission is cost plus on top of the transmission has the right to take eminent domain from your neighbor so in other words they can cut right across your neighbor be 200 feet from their house because you signed up when for industrial solar or industrial wind so you have the right to do whatever you want within the law on your land, but you don’t have the right to impact everybody else’s property or property tax or any kind of cost associated with your development, that will cost somebody else down the line. And so that has been the famous argument that we’ve come across From these developers, we have the right to do what we want with our land. Well, you do, but you don’t have the right to bring transmission across mine because of your choice. Right. So that has been the number one argument that we’ve seen. Now, why would you, you know, the perfect example are these data centers. Why would you put a data center in a drought area? Like the Permian Basin in Texas is the biggest example that comes to mind now. It’s the largest deposit of natural gas. So these data centers are just springing up everywhere in the Permian Basin, but there is no water. So who’s going to be impacted? The ranchers, the farmers, those people in cities. that rely on a very limited supply of fresh water for their own needs so you don’t have the right as a developer or in industrial development in an area that’s drought ridden and where’s that water coming from who’s going to get their water diverted to to that area we talk about nebraska And the rivers that run through our state, they’re allotted so many gallons of that water.
SPEAKER 05 : 43:40
That impacts a lot of communities. It really does. Virginia, we’re going to continue the discussion with Virginia Macha. That website is stand, the number four, standforthelandkansas.com. And we’re talking about property and this huge wealth transfer that is occurring because of tax incentives, tax credits. We’ve got to get those things stopped. And we have these important discussions because of our sponsors for everything mortgages. Talk to Lorne Levy.
SPEAKER 06 : 44:10
Many seniors are feeling squeezed because of inflation, higher property taxes, and increasing costs of living. If you’re 62 or older, a reverse mortgage may be the solution. Reverse mortgages can be complicated, so it’s important that you understand the process and work with a trusted professional. SPEAKER 12 : 44:54
April 26th, 1777. Colonel, the British are raiding Danbury and burning the town. I’ll go tell them. Sixteen-year-old Sybil Ludington mounted her horse and rode 40 miles through night and pouring rain. That’s twice the distance of Paul Revere to sound the alarm.
SPEAKER 19 : 45:09
Quickly. Assemble at my father’s house.
SPEAKER 12 : 45:11

SPEAKER 05 : 46:25
And welcome back to The Kim Monson Show. We’re coming in on year end, and the two nonprofits that I highlight on a regular basis, the Center for American Values, which is located in Pueblo, and doing great work with educational programs for kids K-12 and educators regarding these foundational principles of honor, integrity, and patriotism. You can make a tax-deductible contribution by the end of the year, and I would highly recommend that. And then also the USMC Memorial Foundation and the work that they’re doing to maintain the memorial here in Colorado. And it is the official Marine Memorial, and they’re raising money for the remodel. That website is usmcmemorialfoundation.org. And for the Center for American Values, it is americanvaluecenter.org. And both of those, you can make a year-end tax-deductible contribution. Would highly recommend that you do that. I’m talking with Virginia Macha with Stanford Land, Kansas. And these data centers, the Trump administration seems like they’re all in on these data centers, Virginia. So what’s your experience with that?
SPEAKER 03 : 47:35
You know, it’s really hard to explain and sometimes what you hear is really not what’s going on. It’s almost like Trump probably came in on something that was already halfway down the road. And so how do you enter a race that’s almost half over? Well, you enter the race by one, understanding it and by becoming a player in the race and diverting it from you know, the pitfalls. And so I believe that that is where we’re at with the AI race. It’s something that can’t be brought back to the start, you know, and done right, because Joe Biden really didn’t do a lot of things right. I don’t think he was in this, you know, the decision seat in a lot of this policy change and a lot of codification of these things into our law. and a lot of the guardrails that were lifted. But I believe President Trump, he has a good grasp of it, and he’s not going to allow the average American, I don’t believe, to be a victim. And so we have to believe, one, have faith. And the second thing is, We have to become involved, whether it’s political or not. Step up to serve. I have a lot of people who have never thought in their entire life that they would run for office. Challenge the status quo. I believe people want to elect people that, one, tell the truth, that are truthful, that are at least transparent. Transparency cannot be overrated and support groups like the Colorado taxpayers that you have been part of and the Colorado accountability project that holds your government and policy accountable I I actually am on those newsletters and I enjoy reading what other states are doing because I A lot of it’s applicable across the board, across whatever state you live in. And I reach out to other groups in other states, whether I have any skin in the game or not. I am very charged up when one of them has success. And when we have success in Kansas, I put it out there. So if you go to Stanford or Kansas, we actually put out a new commercial called And with this commercial, there’s a little button. And we will send your representative, by zip code, a letter saying what you’re most worried about on this energy policy, on property rights. And those letters go directly to your representative, your senator, and your House member. And in the first four days of the campaign, we went through 10,000 letters. attachments that were sent to your representatives and senators. We were overwhelmed. So if you want to get a good glimpse of the energy problems in Kansas that affect Colorado as well as Oklahoma and all through the Midwest, our commercial says it all. And it’s a four-minute take. Share it. We’d love for you to share it. Let us hear from you, whether you’re in Colorado, whether you’re in North Dakota. We all face the same crisis because we are the Midwest. We have the largest mass of land available for these renewable projects and for foreign governments to get subsidies from our government. We found out the solar project in Sedgwick County was connected to the Kuwaiti government and Scandinavian countries. They were getting subsidies off of this project. Now, that has to set you back in your chair, the Kuwaiti government. I’m not sure that you can even fly to Kuwait, to be honest. And so those are things that, it’s a human rights, it’s not political. It’s a spiritual war, and it’s about human rights. It comes down to human rights. And anything that we can do to empower people that are oppressed, That is our mission because there has never been such a time as this to stand up.
SPEAKER 05 : 52:33
So, well, and I really do believe, Virginia, we’ve got just a couple of minutes left, that we are in the third founding of our country. And I think a lot of people don’t even know it. Over Christmastime, we was at some different holiday events and realized that not everybody is paying as much attention to all of this as we are, Virginia. Right. And that’s why we’ve got to continue the work we’re doing. We’ve got a minute. How would you like to wrap this up, Virginia? And, of course, we’ll have you on next month again.
SPEAKER 03 : 53:07
Well, I appreciate the time on the air. It gives me time to reflect on what we’ve been through the last month. And I would like to leave everybody with this note, that it was faith. It was faith. that the pilgrims had when they came across the ocean. It was faith that brought us to the American Revolution to secure freedom because everybody born has the right to be a free person. And we live in the greatest country in the world. And for us, to secure that light of freedom for the next generation. I also sat with my grandchildren last night and talked about property and the overpriced property. And I have people serving in the military and their concerns for the country and a generation that will be oppressed if we don’t stand up and if we don’t do something. And I was very proud that my grandchildren are starting to realize because they want to be homeowners. They want to live the American dream. And so stand up today. If it’s not for your kids or your grandkids, stand up for your neighbor, anyone that is being oppressed. Because the American dream should be available to everyone.
SPEAKER 05 : 54:38
Virginia Macha, well said. We will talk with you next month. Keep up the great work. And you’re going to realize Thomas Jefferson was talking about a time like this. Our quote for the end of the show is from Thomas Jefferson. He said, there is no justification for taking away individuals’ freedom in the guise of public safety. So today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you. God bless America. Stay tuned for hour number two.
SPEAKER 10 : 55:24

And our word of the day is slovenliness. I misspelled it and misspoke in the first hour. I made a mistake. Kurt Gerwitz is in studio. And you caught that, didn’t you? You look like you caught that.
SPEAKER 21 : 58:30
Well, I’m a professor, so I have to look at the details sometimes.
SPEAKER 05 : 58:35
Yeah, and that’s important, so I got it right now. It’s slovenliness. It’s S-L-O-V-E-N-L-I-N-E-S-S, submitted by Jenny. Thank you. And number one, it could be the state or quality of being untidy or unclean in appearance or habits, the character of a slob. I haven’t heard the word slob in a long time. Do you ever remember using that word?
SPEAKER 21 : 58:59
Well, I think I was just watching the… God, I’m such a nerd. I was watching the economic history of Germany during World War II. And, you know, they have the slobs, S-L-A-V-S. That’s, you know, an ethnic group in Eastern Europe. And I just was like, you know what? I bet slob…
SPEAKER 05 : 59:18
slob as as we mean it i wonder if that’s a ethnic slur it probably is could be i don’t know good question but number two definition could be a sloppy or a slipshod quality as of work research or writing and the dictionary had this sentence of we’ve come to tolerate a shocking degree of slovenliness and the logic in what passes for educated writing i think that’s pretty darn true Our quote of the day was from Thomas Jefferson. He was our third president, born in 1743, died July 4, 1826, 50 years to the day after the Declaration of Independence, and John Adams died the same day. Did you know that?
SPEAKER 21 : 60:00
I did not know that.
SPEAKER 05 : 60:01
Isn’t that amazing? That’s crazy. It’s a God thing. It’s pretty amazing. Anyway, he said this, the issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite. And in the first hour, when we were talking with Virginia Macha, with Stand for the Land Kansas, she was talking about local government. And local government is very important, but the most local government of all government is the individual. And that’s where we have to begin and hold ourselves accountable. Liberty is the responsible exercise of freedom. And then certainly then government should move up from there, but government should be in its own proper role. And it is way out of its proper role these days. So, again, the issue today, this is from Thomas Jefferson, is the same as it’s been throughout all history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or to be ruled by a small elite. And we see the globalist elites really would like to maintain control. And we are seeing this wealth transfer. And as you see government waste, an example would be, I’m just mesmerized at, not in a good way, at empty trains, empty buses. that basically it is a wealth transfer through taxes to these different government programs. And people vote with their car. They say, I like the security of my car, and I see empty buses and empty trains, and it makes no economic sense to me, Kurt Gerwitz, why we are continuing to do that. And so I know this gets into transportation a bit, but it’s a wealth transfer. And for example, RTD, a big portion of their budget comes from sales tax. And sales tax is a regressive tax because people that have less money to spend are having to pay taxes close to 10% on many of their goods and services. And it is just really a wealth transfer. And And when that happens, we’re seeing a chipping away at the middle class in America. What do you think?
SPEAKER 21 : 62:28
Well, I think you and I are going to start off 2026. I think we have a choice on whether we start off with our agreements or our disagreements. And you know how I feel about transit and bicycle infrastructure. And my brother created International Transit Workers Day, a day to honor the people who work in transit. And I am a huge fan of public transportation. I think quality of life. You’re going to tell me that it matches a model of the 15-minute cities, that it’s urban planning or social engineering for the worse. I just happen to think that it’s for the better, that I think people are – I think traffic is a major problem. I think cars are – I just don’t have a strong positive opinion towards cars. I do love them as a symbol of freedom, and the American road trip is a unique experience that I do embrace and love. But I think we need – like, I think it’s tragedy that – That you and your community, who I love dearly, both of which I love dearly, would fight against a rail from Boulder to Denver or into the mountains. Look, I was in the mountains this weekend or for this week for the holidays. And the traffic is a real concern. It’s dangerous. It’s scary. And it’s so time consuming. It’s so expensive. And if you can take cars off the roads and replace it with rail or bus, then we should. It’s a better mode of transportation. But look, you and I could disagree. We could get specifically about specific routes, whether they’re economically viable or not. But we do need to – if there is a mechanism for the free market to solve those problems, like Uber should be – if it’s cheap enough to move people around or if there were – if the buses were run efficiently by a private organization – But I think it’s like the post office. There’s just a few things in the world that we need to make sure is happening as a society. I don’t think that that’s always government. I don’t make the mistake that liberals make when thinking that government equals society, that it has to be done through theft and taxation. and then forced into these initiatives for social engineering. But I do think it needs to happen. And it’s like my mother’s career was in charity. And feeding the poor is best done by churches.
SPEAKER 05 : 65:08
Well, feeding the poor is best done by giving people jobs.
SPEAKER 21 : 65:11
Yes. Well, I’ve told you this before. There’s a 20% or 15% of the population will always not be able to work. We’re always going to have children. We’re going to have retired people. We’re going to have people with an IQ below 80. And then there should be space for artists and… And eccentrics and religious to not contribute in the traditional economic model. And most of that can be done through, like I said, through churches and families. It doesn’t have to be through government, but it does have to be. 100% of people cannot work.
SPEAKER 05 : 65:55
Well, every able-bodied person should work. And granted, there will always be a percentage. But we’ll continue the discussion. I know we were going to start with GDP. We probably need to make sure that we talk about that, too.
SPEAKER 20 : 66:09
We could talk about that.
SPEAKER 05 : 66:09
Because the numbers were pretty good. I’m talking with Kurt Gerwitz, who’s in studio. And as you know, we look at these issues through this lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. Something’s a good idea. You shouldn’t have to force people to do it. And we focus on the issues and try to stay out of the personality fighting. But we will talk about the issues. And these important discussions happen because of our great sponsors. And we talked with him in the first hour. And that’s Roger Mangan with the Roger Mangan State Farm Insurance Team. And I talked to many different listeners that have reached out and talked with Roger and his team. And they’ve been able to save some real money on their insurance coverage. And the only way to find out is to call them. That number is 303-795-8855. For more information, the Roger Mangan team is there, like a good neighbor.
SPEAKER 04 : 66:58

They have daily specials, weekday lunch deals, and a happy hour worth planning around. And I did stop by and got a great Little Richie’s pizza this weekend, and it was delish. And again, Little Richie’s is located in Parker and in Golden. Studio with me is Kurt Gerwitz, Professor Gerwitz, economics professor, correct?
SPEAKER 20 : 69:41
Finance and investments, yeah. We teach economics lessons in that.
SPEAKER 05 : 69:44
Okay. And we had good GDP numbers that were reported last week, which is great. That means the economy is growing. So what’s your thoughts about that? I think it was up 4.3%, which is pretty good numbers, yes?
SPEAKER 21 : 70:00
Yeah, it’s good numbers. I mean, we’re looking at probably, I mean, we’re going to have less than 3% growth in the United States for the full year. So we call that mixed results. But the quarter that you’re talking about, the 4.3% means that’s an annualized number. So we took like a quarterly number. We multiply it times four, basically, to say like if the economy grew at this rate for the full year, it’d be at 4.3%, which is a great number for the United States. It’s above expectations. But we’ve got a mixed – we have a mixed economy. We have – America’s strength is its diversity in the population, diversity of thought, these battle of ideas. We actually have ideas to battle with in America because we have freedom of speech. And so what makes America’s economy great is its diversity as well. We’re really good at a lot of different things in this country, whereas you go to – you look at a lot of other countries and they’re a one-hit wonder. Or if you look at, you know, one of my favorite countries is El Salvador these days because I’ve got a friend who lives there and I got to visit. How’s that Bitcoin thing working out for them? It actually really well. Like, you know, so Bitcoin’s taken this huge dive recently from over, you know, up to it was up to 100 and maybe up to 120,000 per Bitcoin. And then and now it’s down in the 80s. And so that’s a huge dip and people are lamenting the dip or, you know, seeing this negative trend. uh situation in the near term but they were buying bitcoin when it was at 20. so 80 for them is still a 400 percent uh return on their investment but the 120 to 80 that’s a bit of a problem that’s it yeah well the prop part of the problem is the volatility right so it moves up and down and and my story about el salvador was they said they said look we’re going to run this new experiment we’re going to try a new monetary system and And we’re going to ask the IMF, the International Monetary Fund, which was designed after World War II to help – we really wanted to prevent countries from having the German problem of hyperinflation, which is how you get dictatorships and civilizations fall from that kind of thing. So they said, we’re going to support small countries or countries with bad economies. We’re going to support them. We’re going to give them loans, and we’re going to give them good advice. And we’re going to help them make good financial decisions. And El Salvador had already made the decision. We’re going to use Bitcoin. We’re going to make it a national currency. And now we’re going to ask the IMF for help. And the IMF said, don’t do that. Not only will we not help you, but we recommend you do not do that. And it’s because of just this volatility that when money goes up and down, or when the value of something moves up and down so rapidly, people just get dizzy they get scared they freeze in their places they don’t do anything and you know the government of look the government of El Salvador is not necessarily a representative of the people of El Salvador it’s a little bit of a dictatorship now the dictator himself would say it’s a benevolent dictatorship but he is running that country with an iron fist and and there’s and so the people were in the streets protesting when they when they decided to go on Bitcoin the people were against it they don’t understand it also no one no one really does Anybody who tells you they understand Bitcoin is kind of lying to you. You can understand it at some point and degree, but you cannot understand where it’s going. We can’t predict whether or not it’s going to be the currency or the expectations of what… It could be like a digital gold where it’s a stronger money than even the U.S. dollar because we see the government interventions with the dollar. And so you get… Yeah, so it goes up and down in relation to the dollar. Everything’s in relation to the dollar when we talk about the value of something.
SPEAKER 05 : 73:52
So that brings up, though, inflation because the dollar in a way is volatile because of inflation. With the value of the dollar going down, the amount of goods that we can buy for that same dollar is less. But inflation numbers were also much better. I think I saw they were a little over 2%. And that was compared with we were as high as 9% under the Biden-Harris administration.
SPEAKER 21 : 74:22
I mean, inflation’s a real problem. Inflation is – I described it as the civilization killer. You know, the Fed has two mandates. The American banking system, the American financial system at the top is the Fed. And, you know, your listeners would – would hate to hear the story of how it was created because it was, you know, JP Morgan, it was literally the man himself, JP Morgan locked a few bankers and the president in a room on Jekyll Island and said, we’re not leaving here until America has a central bank. And the people didn’t, it was not democratic. The people did not want a central bank, but America does have a central bank and they have two things that they need to do. They only have two mandates and, and it’s prices which is the same as inflation those are the same word and employment so and they have all these tools that they they can manipulate the the economy of the united states with the interest rate and they’re trying to play this one game of how do we maximize employment we want more people working like you just said at the at the top that uh That the best way to feed people is to give them a job. So the employment rate is one thing they look at. And the only other thing they look at is inflation or prices. And they would absolutely put this country into a recession in order to prevent inflation. Because like I said, inflation is a civilization killer. And it’s how you get dictatorships. We believe that it was the cause of the rise of fascism in Europe. Pre-World War II.
SPEAKER 05 : 76:03
Well, so Obama, we’ve talked with Jay Davidson on a regular basis, who is the founder and CEO of First American State Bank. And now I lost my train of thought as I was thinking about it. You just said…
SPEAKER 21 : 76:20
Yeah, about the rise of fascism and dictatorships come about because of price instability. Like the thing about Bitcoin was the dream of Bitcoin, the promise of Bitcoin was that it’s going to be better than the U.S. dollar. It’s not turning out to be that just quite yet. It’s because it’s so volatile because the price moves up and down too much. And the price of the dollar moves up and down because of inflation. And you mentioned… It has an acronym, PPP, the purchasing power of the dollar. So inflation is confusing. It’s caused by six different things. The ones we’re seeing right now are the supply chain disruptions. That was the takeaway from the COVID era. Inflation was more about… According to the economists, and I have an opinion about economists in a second that you’ll get a good smile out of, that inflation came from supply chain disruptions, meaning people not working because they were sick of COVID or because of the shutdowns around the world, as well as inflation. Just shutdowns and fears.
SPEAKER 05 : 77:34
So now I got my thought back. And that is that the Biden-Harris administration, well, Obama really, with QE2, the quantitative easing, printed and put so much money into the economy that that’s really one of the things that caused inflation. Right.
SPEAKER 21 : 77:56
Yeah, so what I mentioned, what causes inflation, 100% of the time, inflation is caused by too many dollars chasing too few goods. So it’s supply and demand, which I don’t – people hate to talk about economics, but I also don’t think – I have a fantasy world where people in America aren’t allowed to vote unless they can explain supply and demand set prices. Yeah. And so it’s a nice economic lesson. It’s one of the few that it’s worth putting your thinking cap on and learning that prices are set by supply and demand. And there is a supply and demand for money, which is confusing because it’s kind of wrapping on itself. But Obama doesn’t get – the president doesn’t control the monetary policy. The government, our government, our politicians – So that’s fiscal policy. So there’s really only two things you can do at the very top to manage an economy. And one is called fiscal policy. That’s what our politicians do. And then there’s monetary policy. And that’s what our central bank does. And our central bank is free from political influence. And you scoff at that.
SPEAKER 05 : 79:09
I do. Okay, but under Obama, there was a bunch of money that was printed and put into the economy. Now, how… How, who, how did that happen? Who did that?
SPEAKER 21 : 79:23
Well, it’s, it’s, it happened on both sides. It happened on fiscal policy because Obama’s likes to spend money because the, the tax and spend Democrats, um, they want to, they, they would call it an investment that, that, that would be their argument for, um, overspending what you might call overspending. And I tend to agree with you. Um, And so in the fiscal policy, so when the government runs a deficit, meaning like if we don’t make enough, we don’t make enough. I actually, I want to live in a world, here’s my other fantasy, besides every citizen and voter knowing what supply and demand are. I also want to live in a world where, oh shoot, I lost my train of thought there.
SPEAKER 05 : 80:09
It must be a Monday morning here.
SPEAKER 21 : 80:10
It is a Monday morning here.
SPEAKER 05 : 80:12
Okay, so the annualized GDP is 4.3%, and Trump has not even been in office for a year. And so if we would start to have this kind of growth, I think that we would be able to start to chip away at this debt and deficits, yes? Yes.
SPEAKER 21 : 80:36
It’s not enough. The debt and deficit problem has to be addressed. Look, Elon Musk said it, and he’s right. He’s not right about everything he says, in my opinion, but he was right about… There’s only two solutions to… Look, I work with my clients, and I say there’s only two ways to improve profit. You can improve the top line, which we call revenue, or you can decrease expenses. And the United States… in several sectors in the government sector we have a deficit problem we take in less taxes than we spend again the spenders are calling that an investment and it’s like oh it’s okay to go there’s good debt and bad debt right in life there’s good debt and bad debt if it’s If you take it on debt and it’s an investment and it ends up being a net positive years later, and then there’s bad debt where you cannot meet your obligations, which, I mean, if you look at the incentives, I can tell you the outcome. And I can see what we’re doing in America is we’re overspending, and the debt is a real problem.
SPEAKER 05 : 81:42
We’re not going to grow out of it. And so we need to decrease spending. And as we talked with Virginia Macha in the first hour – These tax credits and these tax incentives is basically a wealth transfer to, in some ways, who knows who, where it’s going. And so we’re going to continue the discussion. Text line is 720-605-0647, 720-605-0647. 0647. These discussions happen because of our sponsors. And one of those great sponsors is the Second Syndicate. And I would recommend that you make a tax-deductible contribution to these two nonprofits that I dearly love. One is the USMC Memorial Foundation. And that website is USMCMemorialFoundation.org. And the other is the Center for American Values, which is located in Pueblo. on the beautiful Riverwalk. And that website is americanvaluecenter.org, americanvaluecenter.org. Kurt Gerwitz is in studio with me. And I want to get to some of these other things. And this is coming in from Jenny. And How do you say that? Keynesian? Keynesian. Keynesian type of economics is based on government debt, basically. It’s based on debt. And you can never borrow your way into prosperity.
SPEAKER 21 : 86:38
You can borrow your way into slavery.
SPEAKER 05 : 86:41
And that is where we’re headed if we don’t get this turned around. But, hey, I wanted to talk a little bit about Tina Peters because I’ve not done that in this second hour. Last Monday, I took down to Governor Polis’ office a petition calling on him to – exhibit some mercy, kindness, and compassion, and release her by Christmas Eve. He didn’t do it. There’s this big back and forth between Donald Trump, who has issued a pardon for her, and there are those in Colorado that say that she was convicted of Colorado law, under Colorado law, and so the federal pardon does not pertain to that. I actually read the Constitution over break and The U.S. Constitution or the Colorado Constitution? So I think that the Fed pardon trumps, no pun intended, what’s going on here in Colorado. So I think ultimately that it’s in court right now, but I think ultimately that they will find that the federal pardon is the law of the land, I think. But meanwhile, she’s languishing in La Vista maximum security facility in Pueblo. And I really hope that that Polis does the humane thing and releases her. She has appealed her conviction and they put her in jail instead of letting her post bond on that conviction. I find that kind of crazy. She’s not a flight risk.
SPEAKER 21 : 88:28
Your argument is that she’s a political prisoner. ultimately that’s you know i and i think you’ve you hear me talk about you know so i was a in undergrad before i went and became an adult with my my master’s in finance i was a history major and so i think in terms of a big picture a lot and i like to um donald trump wrote in his book um the art of the deal he said i like to think big which makes sense as a man who became president um So if we think about the civilization, one of the best metrics of a civilization is how they treat their prisoners. And in the first hour, you were talking about how the conditions are going to improve because there’s been some light shed on the conditions. And I’ve done prison ministry. It is a Christian value to visit the imprisoned and to extend love to the marginalized peoples. And nobody’s more marginalized than prisoners. And so we should be loving our prisoners. So that’s fascinating to me. So you’re doing good work by shedding light on it. It is fascinating whether this is going to be a federal or a state issue. I don’t really have much of an opinion on that.
SPEAKER 05 : 89:46
Well, and I just think it’s the humane thing to do. And Polis has either pardoned or commuted sentences every year since he’s been governor, per a Colorado Sun article, and that last year he pardoned 22 people, commuted four sentences, and of the 22 people that he pardoned, two were murderers, one was a rapist, and one was a bank robber. So it seems to me like Tina Peters, I don’t think she even had a traffic ticket before this whole ordeal.
SPEAKER 21 : 90:21
She’s certainly going to be a political pawn in this game between, you know, one side and the other.
SPEAKER 05 : 90:29
It’s not really one side. There’s actually, there’s Republicans that are calling for her to stay in prison as well.
SPEAKER 21 : 90:36
Like rule of law people? What’s their argument?
SPEAKER 05 : 90:40
Their argument is, is that she was duly convicted by a jury of her peers.
SPEAKER 21 : 90:44
Like a local rule or…
SPEAKER 05 : 90:46
Yeah. But I think, why not let her out? She’s convicted of nonviolent crimes. And the other thing is, my understanding is, is that during her trial— The judge did not allow key pieces of evidence. And that’s one of those things that I hadn’t really realized until I started to watch these legal proceedings is that evidence can be suppressed and not brought forward for the jury.
SPEAKER 21 : 91:22
It’s a whole game. The justice system has different games. The selection of the jury is more important than the facts of the case many times. It’s a whole crazy game. And we’ve got the best system in the world, and it’s still – we’re starting to see its flaws in this case. I’ve got to say I have a special warm place in my heart for whistleblowers, for truth-tellers. I know a lot of your listeners might be Christian and you look at what did Jesus do or any prophet, anybody who’s ever stood up on a soapbox and told the truth, they should be rewarded for that and not punished for it. I think that was one of the worst things Obama did was his war on whistleblowers. And we need people who are like we have freedom of speech. We have the press is the fourth estate because we’ve got the three branches of government and our press tells people the truth. It’s supposed to. Yeah. If you’re out there telling the truth and finding the truth. Look, I teach my students to be financial analysts and we see these numbers and we need to believe that the numbers are the numbers. And if we’re looking at votes, what’s going on where we can’t – why is it so hard to have free and fair elections?
SPEAKER 05 : 92:48
free, fair, honest, and transparent elections. So with that, we have people on both sides of the aisle that have said that there’s nothing to see, move along here, nothing to see, move along here. And as many of you know, and many of you contributed, we have two lawsuits that were filed last year, and both of them are based on Proof that our elections have challenges. I’ll just put it that way. And one of those, which was filed through Peter Berninger with the Wisconsin Center for Election Justice, it was a small list. It’s the closer you get to election time under NIVRA, the National Voting Rights Act. there’s different limitations on what you can look at, what you can see. So it was a small targeted list. And we proved 14,500 people voted who should not have gotten ballots. And so that’s one lawsuit. The other is through, it’s now Unite for Freedom with United Sovereign Americans. And that is that Colorado is not meeting the minimum standards, which are pretty lax. For elections, for our elections. And that’s the basis of that. So it seems like people that are saying nothing to see here, move along, move along, nothing to see here. It’s like, well, shouldn’t we try to make sure that we have free, fair, honest and transparent elections instead of saying there’s nothing to see here? Because clearly there is something to see here.
SPEAKER 21 : 94:23
I think it’s important that America be the gold standard around the world on free, fair, transparent elections. I think everybody should look to America. When we talk about the GDP of the planet Earth, the GDP is about $100 trillion. And America has a fourth of that, 25%. We have 4% of the world’s population. At 340 million people, we are 4% of the 8 billion people on planet Earth. But we have 25%. It’s confusing if I say one-fourth. if I go from 4% to 1 4th, but it’s 4% to 25% of the GDP. And it’s because of our rule of law. It’s because of our accountants will tell the truth. They’d rather tell the truth. They’d rather quit a job than lie. And so we have to be better than every other country where most things, like in El Salvador, it’s a country where the strong man at the top And despotism, he slams his fist on a table and that’s how things get done because that’s the way he wants it to be. So, yeah, everybody needs to look at us and not give China a reason to criticize freedom.
SPEAKER 05 : 95:41
And I just want to address one thing, because those on the left, with those statistics that you gave, say we have 4% of the population but 25% of the GDP, and they’ll say, oh, it’s because Americans are greedy. No, no. As you mentioned, it’s really because of the American idea of liberty, the responsible exercise of freedom. When we talk about the rule of law, The other thing is our laws must stand up to the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. That is the law that we need to be adhering to. We have laws that are being passed in many states, but here in Colorado, with the Colorado Union of Taxpayers, we’ve got a front row seat, and that is we’ve got laws that treat people differently. Depending on what your description is. And that’s not the way it’s supposed to be. And in fact, under DEI, diversity, equity, and inclusion, people would get jobs not because of the merit, but because of their descriptor. And that’s a race to the bottom, to mediocrity. And so we’ll leave that there and let you ruminate on that. And then we’re going to go to break and we’ll come back here in just a moment to continue the discussion. And we have these discussions because of our sponsors. If you’ve been injured, you’ll want to talk to John Bozen and Bozen Law.
SPEAKER 09 : 97:08

SPEAKER 05 : 99:25
And welcome back to the Kim Monson Show. And I wanted to mention Mint Financial Strategies. They know that financial freedom starts with the right guide, and they are there to help. They’re an accredited investment firm and fiduciary, and they offer advice that’s focused on you, not a sales quota. Their strategy-first approach is about helping you live life on your terms with clarity, confidence, and control. So call Mint Financial Strategies today. That number is 303-285-3080. They are your pathway. to independent financial confidence and Kurt Gerwitz is in studio with me and this is from Yvonne she said we mentioned there are some in the Fed thinks that it said something along the line of giving people jobs she said it’s not important to give people jobs it’s important to create job opportunities and I think that one of the most humane things that one man can give to another is a job, the opportunity to be able to take care of himself and his family. And we’ve moved away from, you and I both agree that there is a place for charity. There are those that cannot take care of themselves. But we’ve gotten to a point now where able-bodied people are receiving government subsidies, government money. The other thing to realize is taking from one person A, It says that they’re going to help person B, but the government program takes a whole bunch of money in between. And a perfect example is what’s been happening in Minnesota with the Somalis and all of those nonprofits. What’s your thoughts about that?
SPEAKER 21 : 101:05
um which part of it there’s a lot there yeah well you you’ve heard you’ve heard my um the five stages of giving after you give somebody something you create appreciation and that’s an act a noble act of charity and then you give it to them again so the second time you give something something to somebody then you create an expectation it starts to smell differently and then by the time you get to the fifth stage of giving you’ve you’ve created uh a dependency and And so I think about this a lot because of the conversations you and I have, and I wonder if we could prove that we’re just buying votes, that the politicians are buying votes, if we could prove that our citizens are voting, trying to vote themselves a paycheck, I think we’ve got a real problem.
SPEAKER 05 : 101:53
Well, and Thomas Jefferson realized that as well. He said something along the line of the republic will be in big danger when 50% of the population realizes that they can vote themselves basically a paycheck. And what will happen, though, is ultimately when you continue to tax production, eventually then production is, if you want less of something, you just tax it. Right. So let’s see, a couple of other things here coming in on the text line regarding Tina Peters’ unlawful convictions, like Jesus being convicted by mob rule. And I think that’s a very interesting correlation, what’s happening there. But there’s people on both sides of the aisle that want her in prison. And so I’m calling on Polis to do the humane thing and let her out.
SPEAKER 21 : 102:55
Well, let’s hear it. I’m reading chat GPT on it. During sentencing, the judge denounced her actions and rhetoric about election fraud. It accused her of falling into a conspiracy theory around unfounded claims of election fraud. Yeah. So I just don’t know enough about the case. I don’t. And that’s the thing is like we want to trust in the system. Was it a jury or was it a judge? I think it was a jury. Nine years. Seems extreme for a truth seeker. I hate the idea of political prisoners. Yeah. If she was trying to change votes, she broke security protocol. But we live in a country, and this is what makes our justice system better than most, is that if the law itself is unjust, we will address that in the process. And so she broke – yes, yes, I think there’s no question that she broke security protocol. But let’s now put the system on trial and ask ourselves –
SPEAKER 05 : 104:05
See, that’s the thing that did not happen, and that is – I agree with you. We need to take a good, strong look at the system. And as I just mentioned, we have these two lawsuits that are based on proof that we are not the gold standard in elections. And so the interesting thing, though, about truth, Kurt Gerwitz, is that eventually – When you shed light on it, eventually the truth will come out. And what we’re also seeing, though, is those that are trying to control the narrative and keep all the emotion. And, of course, with Trump and Polis going back and forth on this, that’s really more political posturing at this particular point in time. But the truth is going to come out. It really is.
SPEAKER 21 : 104:57
I try to pride myself on being a good listener, but you’re more optimistic about the truth coming out. I like that about you. I wish I could feel the same way. I think if you put four adults around a table and you put a round sphere red ball in the middle of the table, one of them will tell you that it’s a blue square. I just think that people are carrying their own perspectives. This may just be coming off the holidays with my in-laws, but…
SPEAKER 05 : 105:27
But you’re opening up then where we have moved in postmodernism and relativism. And I know that it’s difficult to open that subject up within four minutes. But the truth of the matter is, is maybe you have four people around a red ball and somebody says it’s not. But the truth is, is it is. It’s around red ball. And that is the truth, and that is foundational.
SPEAKER 21 : 105:54
And the way we get to that truth in our justice system is we do two things that are remarkable and need to be honored. One is we have an adversarial system where it’s one person against the other, and they both just fight as hard as they can to have a debate. And then – If you have two people going against each other, then you can try to like – that’s better than having the government position, if you will, or the official position. And so having an adversarial process, which honors both sides being truth seekers and against each other, number one. Number two, the 12-member jury system where we have – We say the truth is so hard to discern. It’s hard to tell. So we’re just going to let the citizens, let Americans, not some unelected or elected official.
SPEAKER 05 : 106:47
But my understanding, though, is that you also, we have this assumption that all the facts are on the table. Right. And when you’re finding out that perhaps some of the facts could not be presented, then you’ve got a real problem with things. And my understanding is, and actually, I’m going to have Tina Peters’ attorney on on Friday.
SPEAKER 21 : 107:11
Can you go visit her?
SPEAKER 05 : 107:13
I actually have applied. Crickets. I haven’t heard anything. And then I was talking with one of our elected representatives last week, and she said she and two other elected representatives have been trying to get in to see her for months, and they’re not even allowed. And these are elected representatives here in Colorado.
SPEAKER 21 : 107:32
I mean, isn’t that in the Constitution that you have a right to visit the imprisoned?
SPEAKER 05 : 107:36
I don’t think that’s, no.
SPEAKER 21 : 107:38
I mean, prisoners should have rights to communication with the outside world.
SPEAKER 05 : 107:42
Well, and this legislature has been very pro-criminal and even somewhat pro-violent criminal. And so it is, it’s just, it’s beyond belief that she has not been released. So I hope that Polis will show some mercy and kindness and compassion and release her by the… end of the year now i’d hope by christmas eve but i would say what is his track record show well he lets people out every year so we’ll have to see kurt it’s always really interesting to have you in and this perspective i think it’s important that we have these conversations and so i really appreciate it thank you i enjoy you and i hope you had a great christmas and i’m very looking forward to 2026 with you 2026 is going to be a big year. 250 years is our birthday. And we’ve got a job to do to make sure that we are passing on liberty to our future generations. And that’s why we are engaging in this battle of ideas. And we are dedicated to that and also to assure that we have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections in America. So we’ve got a lot of work to do.
SPEAKER 21 : 109:02
And we’re up for it. You know what the Chinese say. What do you think of the American experiment with democracy and freedom? And they say 250 years old? Too soon to tell.
SPEAKER 05 : 109:13
Well, yeah. Although the Chinese communists have only been in power for… Even less. Yeah, a lot less. Our quote for the end of the show is from Thomas Jefferson. He said this. He said, there is no justification for taking away individuals’ freedom, or I’m going to say their money, also, in the guise of public safety. So today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you, and God bless America.
SPEAKER 10 : 109:52
Through the mountains climbing, twisting, turning further from my home. Like a new moon rising fierce through the rain and lightning. I don’t want no one to cry, but tell them if I do.
