(Worthy News) – The Pentagon announced that Boeing has been awarded an $8.6 billion contract under the F-15 Israel Program following a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Florida.
According to the Pentagon, the agreement covers the design, integration, testing, production, and delivery of 25 new F-15IA fighter jets for the Israeli Air Force, with an option to purchase an additional 25 aircraft. The advanced jets are expected to significantly enhance Israel’s long-range strike and air-superiority capabilities.
The United States Department of War confirmed that the deal is part of the U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, underscoring Washington’s longstanding military support for Israel. The United States remains by far Israel’s largest arms supplier, providing billions of dollars annually in military assistance to help ensure Israel’s qualitative military edge in the region.
U.S. officials say such defense cooperation reflects the strategic alliance between the two nations, particularly amid ongoing regional instability and security threats facing Israel.
