President Trump’s latest trick was to get the Democrats to support a bloodthirsty tyrant, a drug cartel guy named Nicolas Maduro. And they actually are supporting Nicolas Maduro. Free Maduro! Free Maduro! I think, honest to goodness, I think that had today’s breed of Democrats been around when we got Osama bin Laden, if Trump got Osama bin Laden, they’d be calling for a war crimes tribunal. They’d lose their minds. You know they’d be in the streets supporting Osama bin Laden. You know full well they’d be supporting. That’s not conjecture. That’s a fact. My buddy Mark Davis over the weekend texted me. He said, Mike, after the Venezuelan bold, daring, brilliant military action, no, we’re not at war with Venezuela. Yes, Trump has every bit of the legal authority he exercised. They don’t have a leg to stand on. We’ve got a mile worth of receipts of Democrats demanding that Trump do what he did. Chuck Schumer, the biggest hypocrite of all. Chuck Schumer rips Donald Trump for ending the Maduro regime after he previously ripped him for not ending the Maduro regime. You can’t make this crap up. This is who they are. And you know there would be lunatics in the streets of New York City complaining about getting Osama bin Laden. That’s where we are right now. That’s today’s Democrat Party. And they’re all doing it. Mark Kelly, Chris Murphy, Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries. And I can accept that they’re always going to complain about anything that Trump accomplishes. We should accept that, okay? However, we got miles of tape and evidence of them demanding that Trump do what he wound up doing with Nicolas Maduro. It’s unbelievable. I got clips here from Schumer. He wasted no time showing the world who he is. Minnesota’s governor, Tim Walz, having a press conference today, I think during the show. I’m not sure if this is 11 o’clock Central or 11 o’clock Eastern. So I’m not sure if it’s going to happen during the show or not, but in any event, we’ll know by the end of the day if Tim Walz is going to run for another term as governor. The speculation is running rampant that he will not seek a third term, as he previously indicated he would do, because he is up to his neck. in scandal over this Somalia fraud story out of Minnesota. And you know what they’re left with doing? Well, you don’t like black people, you Republicans. You just don’t like Somalians. Wow. Boy, oh boy, oh boy. What a day to come back to work. It’s Monday, July, January 5th. I’m a little rusty. I think it’s the longest break I’ve ever had. And despite the long break, I still didn’t even take half of my vacation days in 2025. He brags about all these things he wants to do or is doing, but his actions belie his words. Maybe the best metaphor was his claim to bring democracy to Venezuela. There was a big policy there. It flopped. If the policy was working, Juan Guaido wouldn’t be in the balcony here. He’d be in Venezuela. He’d be sitting in the president’s palace or at least waging a fight to win. He’s here. And the president brags about his Venezuela policy? Give us a break. He hasn’t brought an end to the Maduro regime. The Maduro regime is more powerful today and more entrenched today than it was when the president began.

I’ll bet you the people that run up, that drive up and down, and I do not approve. I do not approve of going in front of Tim Waltz’s mansion in the Twin Cities and saying, Screaming out names and name-calling him. His daughter doesn’t like it at all. His daughter is a very prolific social media influencer now. What’s her name? Hope? Hope gets on there and rips Trump and rips conservatives. And she defends her father, and I get that. But I’ve got to believe that there’s some tears being shed in the Waltz household as apparently… News is coming out of Minnesota that Tim Walz is dropping out and won’t be seeking a third term. Also, Nicolas Maduro is expected to be arraigned today in New York City. What a series of stories and breaking news to keep up with. And let me just ask you directly. After you saw what we did in Venezuela, when you saw what happened in Caracas, and you saw the American military machine extract this corrupt dictator and his wife, how proud did you feel about America? How proud were you at the might and the majesty of of the United States of America. Unreal, unbelievable that our country is capable of this kind of achievement. And from a political front, watching liberals and Democrats support a tyrannical dictator like Maduro, There were protests that broke out all over America with lunatics on the left holding signs saying free Maduro. Venezuela is not a security threat to the United States. They’re not threatening to invade us. There is no terrorist group like Al-Qaeda operating there that has plans to attack the United States. To the extent that you care about the drug trade, yes, they produce drugs, but those drugs go to Europe. Fentanyl is the drug that’s killing Americans. That’s not coming from Venezuela. Venezuela produces cocaine. Ninety percent of it is not coming to the United States. This seems to be mostly about oil. and natural resources. Donald Trump’s entire foreign policy is corrupt. Russia, the Middle East, and now Venezuela is all about making money for his friends. And Wall Street, the oil industry, they can make a lot of money off of Venezuela if they run it. You saw within hours of the invasion, the announcement of a group of Wall Street investors, energy industry investors who planning a trip to Venezuela to make money off of this invasion, off of this ouster. So unfortunately, once again, you’re seeing that this president’s foreign policy, the invasion of Venezuela, the ouster of Maduro, is about making his crowd filthy rich. It has nothing to do with American national security.

I’ve got to go through my X feed because over the weekend, there were so many things that were happening that were just so fun. There’s Trump holding a sign in a magician suit. For my next trick, Democrats will now defend authoritarianism in Venezuela. He actually gets them because of their hatred for him to support a brutal dictator. And there’s a lot of reasons why this Venezuelan move makes so much sense. I saw some great analysis by Jonathan Shanzer. This is from the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. He writes, the Trump administration’s capture of Maduro was a U.S. victory on two fronts, the war on drugs and the great power competition with China and Russia. For years, the war on drugs has been fought at home, primarily with slogans aimed at changing the behavior of American citizens. Trump upended that feckless approach in 2025 when he began bombing the narco vessels bringing drugs to the United States. His strategy was controversial, to put it mildly. Well, this past weekend, Trump upped the ante again. He brought down a narco state through regime change. The flow of dangerous drugs to the U.S. can be expected to slow as a result. The deterrent effect of this operation cannot be overstated. The cartels and kingpins that have historically poisoned the United States with drugs are now on notice. But also, bringing down Maduro was about bringing the Western Hemisphere back under the influence of the United States. Maduro was not just the head of a narco state. He was an ally of America’s nastiest enemies. In fact, Maduro met with a senior Chinese delegation in Caracas shortly before he was captured by U.S. Special Forces. And Maduro’s regime was not just an ally to China. The regime in Caracas was also a valuable partner to other rogue states like Russia, Cuba, Iran, even Turkey. A notoriously unreliable NATO ally has been an ally to the Maduro regime. If done right, he writes, the ousting of Maduro will weaken the influence of America’s adversaries in our hemisphere. It’ll deprive the cartels of a transit hub for shipments to the United States, and it will deprive our enemies of a valued ally. If that’s how things play out. That’s not a bad start to 2026. Actually, we’re having a great start to 2026. A lot of good things are already happening. And most of all, for me at least, coming back to work is one of the best things on the plate, on my platter. I thought he was going to have a press conference. I think he still is. But in advance of the press conference, evidently, has been a written statement. where he said in september i announced that i would run for a historic third term as minnesota’s governor and i have every confidence that if i gave it my all i would succeed in that effort but as i reflected on this moment with my family and my team over the holidays I came to the conclusion that I can’t give a political campaign my all. Every minute I spend defending my own political interests would be a minute I can’t spend defending the people of Minnesota against the criminals who prey on our generosity and the cynics who prey on our differences. So he’s out. And the top contender… is expected to be Senator Amy Klobuchar. I guess she’d be better than him. I don’t know. Look, Ronald McDonald would be better than Tim Walz. The guy is an utter embarrassment and a clown and was a heartbeat away from the presidency. And you can’t state this enough. Tim Walz is who today’s Democrat Party views as one of their… I mean, this is the guy who would have been a heartbeat away from the presidency if Trump hadn’t won in resounding fashion the way he won. And make no mistake, let the history revisionists try their best. Trump won in a resounding way. And they know it, too. You don’t take all the swing states. You don’t win the electoral college and the popular vote and not call that a mandate. Trump got a mandate. And he’s delivering the way he said he would deliver. But the clip from Zoran Mamdani… This one, it completely blew my mind. I’ve never been to that, really spent much time in that part of the country. And I fell in love with it just from watching the TV series Yellowstone. And I told the kids, let’s go where there’s going to be snow, where it’s going to be cold, where there’s going to be skiing. I don’t know the ski environment very well. And boy, did I fall in love with Big Sky. Founded by Chet Huntley. Remember the Huntley Brinkley report on NBC News? And he apparently was a well-known Montanan. As I understand it, the way the story goes, he founded Big Sky, or he kind of embarked on creating this ski village and this beautiful, beautiful community nestled in the Rockies for great skiing. And the poor guy died before it opened. So it’s kind of a sad story. But it is a national treasure. And the kids skied. I, of course, held down the fort in the lodge because nobody got time for skiing. That’s all I need is to break my neck going down the slopes. Matthew fell, he said, nine times. He said violently. And he was mad. And it was a little awkward because he came down to the lodge just mad at the world. He said, I fell nine times. Eight of the nine times were violent. I had to walk halfway down the slopes. And I couldn’t stop laughing. So anyway, but we had a great time. I think Lily had fun. We just had a fantastic vacation. And it was a break that I, frankly, not to bemoan the lucky life that I get to lead, but I needed the time off. It was fun to kind of, and I didn’t completely disconnect. You can’t. FAFO has become a real popular sort of social media expression. I clean it up by saying, futz around and find out. That’s not really what the first F stands for, but you get the point. But according to Georgia, Rubio’s version is… First, you didn’t know. Now, you know. It’s amazing. There’s a lot of FAFO going on right now, isn’t there? Whether you’re Tim Waltz or Nicholas Maduro or Mark Kelly, Chuck Schumer. Chuck Schumer was exposed as one of the biggest hypocrites of all. He’s on… all the Sunday shows and making all the rounds and yammering about Venezuela because Trump managed to get the Democrats to support a tyrant dictator like Nicolas Maduro. The only problem is they were the same ones squawking about the tyrant dictator previous to the Trump administration. Here’s Chuck Schumer in 2020 saying, His hair’s a little darker. He looks a little younger. I mean, it was after all, you know, five years ago. But check out what Democrats used to say about Maduro.

He brags about all these things he wants to do or is doing, but his actions belie his words. Maybe the best metaphor was his claim to bring democracy to Venezuela. There was a big policy there. It flopped. If the policy was working, Juan Guaido wouldn’t be in the balcony here. He’d be in Venezuela. He’d be sitting in the president’s palace. Or at least waging a fight to win. He’s here. And the president brags about his Venezuela policy? Give us a break. He hasn’t brought an end to the Maduro regime. The Maduro regime is more powerful today and more entrenched today than it was when the president began.

Oh, okay, well, Trump fixed that, and now you’re griping about that. I appreciated the media, even media-ite. an anti-Trump, anti-conservative site for the most part, like most of the mainstream media. Headline, Schumer rips Trump for ending Maduro regime after previously ripping him for not ending the Maduro regime. Chuck Schumer on Sunday blasted Trump following the capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, claiming Trump’s lawlessness was pushing America into an endless war with no discussion. But back in 2020, as you just heard… Schumer criticized Trump for not getting rid of Maduro. I mean, these aren’t serious people. And what was your emotion when you heard about what happened in Venezuela? Wasn’t it one of pride? Weren’t you proud that America pulled this off? That’s not the way Democrats think. Uh-uh. No, no, no. They are anti-American. They’re anti-military. They’re anti-police. They’re anti-border. Look, take a big, take a nice, big, deep breath and realize that today’s Democrats are represented by Zoran Mamdani, by Tim Walz, by Mark Kelly, by Chuck Schumer. That’s today’s Democrat Party. And I like the way this year is starting off. I mean, we’re beginning the year with a bang. I can’t get over the way we ended the year. These are actual leftist protesters in the streets of America who were protesting on behalf of Nicolas Maduro.
