SPEAKER 12 :
This is Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 10 :
You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
SPEAKER 03 :
With your host, John Rush.
SPEAKER 10 :
My advice to you is to do what your parents did. Get a job first. You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same and there’s a big difference.
SPEAKER 06 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life. That there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 04 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
SPEAKER 12 :
It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush, presented by Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay, here we go. My first live program for 2026. So thank you all for listening. And as I said before vacation, yes, I would be back. And here we are and a full year ahead of us. Don’t plan on going anywhere. So sit back, buckle up. Got a lot to talk about today. Dave from Veteran Motors and Doors with me today. Dave, how are you, sir? I am outstanding. How are you? Always a joy to have you. Give us an update on what’s happening with windows and doors and all that we can look forward to in 2026. In the new year. In the new year.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, absolutely. Well, actually, Provia, which is the company that manufactures our windows and doors, they released a new door series called the Ascent series.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 09 :
which is a beautiful door, you know, multitude of panel options and glass options, some features and attributes only available through, you know, through our program because of our partnership with Previa. Right. But they, along with that, they are also extending the life, the heritage, or I think we spoke last time, they were going to discontinue that. And I think that is still the plan, but they have extended that through July of this year.
SPEAKER 07 :
So folks are interested in that, and not just the door sides of things, but the window side as well. What are we looking at, Dave, on sort of an ETA? I mean, spring sounds like it’s a long way off, and we haven’t had much of a winter yet, and we will before it’s all said and done. It’s Colorado, and we eventually will. We’ll get some weather even, I think, a little bit later this week. But if folks are looking at a timeline and so on, walk us through that. What’s that look like?
SPEAKER 09 :
I mean, I think typically from start to finish, you’re looking at about six to eight weeks from actually ordering the product. Everything is made by the Amish in Sugar Creek, Ohio. So it’s all made here and then shipped to us in Denver, and then our crews come out and install it.
SPEAKER 07 :
So if folks, you guys listening are interested in doing anything with any kind of upgrades, windows, doors, you’re looking at 2026 and thinking, man, you know, it sure seems even on these not so cold days, you know, drafty or you just feel like, listen, I, you know, this is a home that we’re going to hang out in for a while. And keep in mind, even if it’s a home, you’re not. You still have that ability to add value to the home by making some of these improvements. adjustments, I guess you could say, or upgrades. Dave is probably the best way for me to say that. And I don’t say you’re going to get dollar for dollar out of those, but in some cases you do.
SPEAKER 09 :
that you definitely get a return on things and there are some pretty good publications out there cost versus impact reports i think remodeler magazine does one and but basically you put in your zip code and it tells you you put in what project you’re considering and it tells you what some average pricing would be in your area and then what the anticipated return is so
SPEAKER 07 :
So for some of you listening that, again, are interested in that, I would say first things first. Get with Dave. Have just a rundown on your home and look at options because there’s many. And sometimes I think we get in this habit, Dave, of thinking, oh, you know, it’s kind of a one-size-fits-all sort of a thing. And with windows and doors, it is not. You’ve got a lot of options. And when I say a lot of options, a lot of options. For example, for some of you listening, depending upon… your home, you may have an exit door where you’re like, man, I’d really like that to be an extra six inches wider than what it is right now. Okay, then talk to Dave, right?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yep, absolutely. Yeah, you can do, I mean, we’re limited by the rough opening at the end of the day. So we can do whatever can be designed and placed in that opening. And we do have the ability if someone is dead set, say they want to go from a single door to a double entry door,
SPEAKER 07 :
Right.
SPEAKER 09 :
We have that ability as well. That’s a little more detailed.
SPEAKER 07 :
Right. But my point is, those are the kind of changes where some people think, well, I can only put back in what’s there. No, think outside the box. There’s things you may look at that not only would make things better for you as a homeowner, but make the home more valuable and even sellable down the road by making some of those upgrades. That’s my point, Dave.
SPEAKER 09 :
No, absolutely. And unfortunately, a lot of our customers that we do get are in the process of selling the home. And they’ve realized now that it’s getting ready to go up to market, they’re being told you need to fix so many things that they never invested in during the lifetime. So now they’re footing a bill. And even though you can do a minimal grade window, you’re still looking at an investment greater than you know, what you would have done. I always recommend keeping things up to date.
SPEAKER 07 :
Now, you also, I know this, but as a reminder, heading down the stretch here into the new year, you’ve got financing available and so on where folks are thinking, hey, I don’t have the cash right now, but I, you know, I plan on having it maybe in the next, you know, six months to a year. You have the ability to accommodate that.
SPEAKER 09 :
We do. There’s a multitude of finance options. A lot of our customers just do monthly payments. They prefer to set it up that way. It’s entirely up to them. Gotcha. But yes.
SPEAKER 07 :
Dave, what’s the best way folks get a hold of you?
SPEAKER 09 :
303-529-0720 is our main line, or they can go onto our website at veteranwindowsdoors.com.
SPEAKER 07 :
And klzradio.com, if you forget any of that, you can go there, or Rush to Reason, that’s a T-O, rushtoreason.com as well. Dave, as always, Happy New Year, man. I appreciate it. Always learn something when you’re here, and you’re just a joy to have on.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yes, happy new year to you as well.
SPEAKER 07 :

SPEAKER 03 :
God. Country. Reason. Now back to John Rush.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay, we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Thanks for tuning in. We appreciate it greatly. And most of you have seen lots of news from the weekend about Venezuela. I’ll get into that here. Most likely after this particular segment, I did want to highlight some things going on locally that some of you may or may not have seen, and that involves some of our local politics. And when it comes to the – let me go backwards because this one actually came out today – But it does impact the governor’s race, which I’m going to talk about in just a moment. Mark Baisley, who I know very well and good friend, and I like Mark a lot. He’s a really solid individual and very, how should I say this, smart, intelligent, likable, just a really all-around good guy. He has decided to drop out of the governor’s race but shift over to the Senate race against Hickenlooper. By the way, Mark, if you’re listening, great move. Congratulations. Have my full support. I think that’s a fabulous idea. I think if there’s anybody that we had out of all of even the folks that are running for governor right now, if there’s a single individual that I could pick out and had do what Mark’s going to do, he would be at the top of the list. He will fit into this race very, very well. I think it’s an intelligent, smart move. So, Mark, if you’re listening, great move. I appreciate you recognizing the need there. And I think also understanding what’s going on on the governor’s race sides of things, which I’ll get into in just a moment. But Mark Baisley now running for the Senate seat against, you know, Hickenlooper. Great idea. And congratulations. And I’ll talk more about that. We’ll probably get Mark on and have some discussions one-on-one. But a great move. I think that’s fabulous. And those of you that are not following any of that, you should be because there’s – that’s a great move, by the way, on Mark’s part. I know I just said that a moment ago, but that’s really a smart move on his end. Okay. What’s not a smart move, and I’m sorry, I’m just going to call it like it is. You guys know me. I don’t beat around the bush much. I lay it out there just like it is. And, again, I don’t mince any words. Greg Lopez. And I like Greg. I’ve known Greg now for several years. And Greg has had his hat in the ring for governor of Colorado on the GOP side, on the Republican side. Over the weekend, he decided to run unaffiliated instead of running as a Republican. And I’m going to say this is the opposite of the Mark Baisley move. Stupid. Dumb. And the excuses and the reasons are, you know, not really getting the support out of the GOP and it’s just a disaster here in Colorado, which, by the way, it is. It is. I’m not arguing that. It is a disaster. But jumping ship and taking the R away from your name and going unaffiliated like that’s going to help you attract unaffiliated voters, it’s not. In fact, you just detracted. You know, you just turned off people like myself, a certain amount of Republican voters that aren’t going to vote for you. So you’re not going to win doing that. And I’ll say it. I’ll say it. End of your career politically speaking, Greg. Sorry, you’re done. You’re done. This will be your last hurrah, so make the best of it because I highly doubt you’ll do anything in Colorado moving forward after this move. And so many reasons why I could go down that path. Andy and I will talk more about this tomorrow. You know, as you all know, Andy’s very up on these things and a lot more intelligent politically speaking than I am. But this doesn’t take much intelligence to figure out that this is a dumb political move and will end his political career. So, Greg, I’m sorry. I know that some folks out there are thinking that I’m being very, you know, very mean spirited and so on about this. No, I’m just laying it out like it is. This is a very unwise move. very unwise in fact i don’t see i don’t see the strategy here at all it’s almost like it’s a hail mary last ditch effort you know let’s throw something out there to see if maybe it will stick but this has got to be one of the dumbest political moves i’ve ever seen from a person who i said all along and this is this is where the mistake was made by the way nothing against our current gop chair But realistically, and I said this from day one, Greg should have run for GOP chair this last go around. And frankly, had he. We probably wouldn’t be in the position we’re in in the GOP right now because Greg’s a unifier and I think could have done a very good job of unifying the party even more so than what we have right now. That’s nothing against Brita. Again, folks, you know me. I just lay it out there. I don’t mince any words. And it’s a new year, and I’m not going to say it’s a new me because I’m always this way, but I’m not mincing any words. I’m just laying it out there. And I mentioned that on air. I thought Greg initially, in fact, I even said that to Greg through channels during that time when the GOP chair was, you know, when that election was happening. I even said behind some other folks that were able to relay that to him that he should have been running for chair. But it’s a lot like, I’ll use this comparison and bear with me here. Tim Tebow, who I love dearly, great guy. And Tim’s had a great influence on the spiritual end of things, you know, in the Christian community and so on. He had good influence on the football field as well. Tim, unfortunately, or fortunately, was a great college quarterback, but not a good NFL quarterback. And frankly, had Tim changed positions… and looked at some things differently inside of the NFL, he might very well have played, I don’t know if he’d be playing today, but he would have played several more seasons and who knows exactly how long had he switched positions and actually gone to a position he was better at. And I’m not going to get into all of the football analogy. My son Richard is much better at that and even Andy in discussing those things. But I look at Greg a lot like Tim Tebow. It’s either this way or no way. And with Tim, it was either I’m a quarterback or I’m getting out of the NFL. For Greg, it’s I’m going to be governor or I’m not doing anything else. And that’s dumb. Greg could have had huge political impact here in Colorado by being GOP chair probably as much impact or more than what he’s had. Well, I can tell you there’s more impact than running for governor. More impact. Because what he’s just done, he doesn’t have a snowball’s chance of winning now at all. I could be wrong. And I like Greg. And if he was governor, would I support him? Absolutely. Am I going to vote for him with a U next to his name? No. Sorry, I’m not. I’m a party person, folks. You guys know that. Party over person. In this case, prime example. Party over person. I’m not voting for Greg because he’s now not a part of the party any longer. Sorry. And some of you may be critical of me for saying so, but that’s me. He will not help us move the football forward. Going back to the Tim Tebow example, talking football. He will not help us get the football across the goal line. In fact, quite the opposite. I will tell you now with this move that Greg has made. The chances of even getting a really high-end top candidate, which sort of looks like Victor Marks is kind of heading down that path, it’s going to be hard to get a Victor Marks elected with not only all of the nonsense going on inside of the GOP, but now you’ve got Greg doing what he just did. This is a stupid move. If there is any chance at all of getting somebody like Victor elected, I’m sorry to say, those of you that are in the Victor Marks camp, your chances just got diminished. I’m not saying they’re over. Anything is possible. But with the move that Greg just made over the weekend, your chances have been diminished. And I’m sorry to say all of this because there could have been a lot better strategy to get the football across the goal line than some of these things that are being done right now. And I don’t know who’s strategizing or advising or who the strategists are that are advising, but they’re dumb as rocks. And whoever they are, they’re not talking to people that understand politics in Colorado. Now, we don’t have any other guests this entire hour. If you feel like you want to call in and chime in on this particular topic, I’ll talk about Venezuela as well. But you can call in and talk about our governor’s race here in Colorado and what your thoughts are. 303-477-5600. Again, I think it’s a dumb move. Great move on Mark Baisley’s part to drop out of the governor’s race and go for the Senate race. Huge positive move. Greg doing what he’s doing. Stupid move. I mean, as I read that, honestly, I just shook my head and thought, who in the world is advising this guy? Evidently, no one with a brain. No one with a brain. If they’re thinking that, again, this is going to be somehow an uptick by being unaffiliated and not being associated with either party, and some of the things even that Greg has said and has been said through his campaign, he’s really making Democrats and Republicans sound alike, sort of treating them alike, by the way. We’re not alike, Greg. Democrats are far different than I am. And any Republican out there would tell you that. So, frankly, I take offense to the fact that you’re comparing me to them in the same light. Again, stupid move. You’re not going to get votes by doing this. What you’re going to do is screw up any chance for a solid conservative to try to win the governor’s race in Colorado. That’s what you’re going to accomplish. Again, those of you listening, you may have completely different opinions on this. You may be disagreeing with me. You may be yelling at the radio right now. I don’t care. Yell. Yell all you want. Call in and yell at me. I don’t think I’m wrong, folks. And I’m not a political strategist like Andy is, and yet I can see the handwriting on the wall here. This is dumb. This has got to be one of the worst moves I’ve ever seen anybody make. And again, I don’t know who’s advising Greg, but whoever, Greg, if you’re paying this person, you’re not getting your money’s worth. In fact, you should ask for a refund. Because whoever advised you to do this is very unintelligent. And folks, again, I might be completely surprised and I may be, you know, picking this the wrong way and I might be shocked as we roll through, you know, the rest of this year and roll down the stretch in November, but folks… Not boasting here, but Andy and I together, especially when we collaborate and talk on air and talk about certain things that are going to happen with campaigns and so on, we haven’t been wrong yet. Even the percentages, the last governor’s race here in Colorado, I missed it by a point in the spread. That was it, folks. We have this state figured out and have it pegged. It’s not that complicated. So, again, whoever is advising some of these individuals really needs a lesson in what’s going on because they have no idea what they’re doing. Bill, you’re next. Go ahead.
SPEAKER 11 :
Hey, I’ve got to agree with you. I really like Greg Lopez, and this was stupidity 101.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yep. It really is.
SPEAKER 11 :
And now if it ends up being a Victor Marx versus – You know, Bennett probably, because he’s idiots, will probably put Bennett up, or that idiot Secretary of State. But, yeah, they’re going to split the vote. Here we go again. It’s no different than having a Libertarian in there.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, thank you. Yeah, thank you, Bill. It’s no different whatsoever. And it’s the old, you know, party over person, and I don’t know whether Greg’s thinking that maybe there’s a certain amount of people like myself that will not vote for an R, so they’re going to go ahead and vote for him on the unaffiliated ticket. But, Bill, you and I both know it doesn’t work that way.
SPEAKER 11 :
I mean, there’s a lot of people. I’m fed up with the Republican Party as well. But, you know, it’s a two-party system, like it or leave it. It’s not going to change. you’re going to either be ruled over by a Dem or a Republican. So just get over it.
SPEAKER 07 :
Right. And I like you. I mean, you hear me talk all the time about my frustration, especially here in Colorado with Republicans, but I do it on a national level as well. And I’m not going to argue with you at all. And I’ve learned a lot from you over the years, Bill. And the reality is, yeah, I get frustrated as well. But this is not the answer to the frustration.
SPEAKER 11 :
It is not. And we’re just going to let these liberals continue. They’re You just handed him another victory.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, and as I said earlier, Bill, my biggest frustration with all of this is I put a bug in the ear of Greg early on, really hoping he’d take a hard look at the GOP chairmanship because I felt like he had the right charisma and so on to actually run the party. And the reality is, Bill, it’s like Tim Tebow. I gave that example a moment ago. He didn’t want to change positions. His ego got in the way. I’ll be straight up honest and tell you what’s going on. The ego got in the way. Being governor is much different than being GOP chair.
SPEAKER 11 :
No, I agree. We need a good, solid GOP chair for this state.
SPEAKER 07 :
And he would have done that, Bill.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah. I’m a native of this state, and boy, have I seen it change. Yeah. It’s just… Absolutely incredible that they would do this, and I think they’ve truly handed it off the race.
SPEAKER 07 :
Bill, it is going to be very hard, and I’m not trying to be a naysayer here, so please, everybody listening, don’t think I’m being a naysayer. I’m just being very objective, Bill, and realistic. That’s why this show is, you know, Rush to Reason. And, Bill, I’m being very reasonable in saying that with this one move, And on top of that, what you’re seeing happening with, you know, nut jobs like Oltman, you know, jumping into the race, and he’s going to take a certain amount of votes away from Scott Bottoms and so on. It’s going to come down to Victor Marx will most likely win the primary. You’ll have Greg Lopez running unaffiliated. You’ll have Bennett running on the Democrat ticket, and he’ll run away with everything.
SPEAKER 11 :
And here we go again. That’d be another eight years, just like Polis.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah. And Bill, I don’t think my prediction, if everything lays out like I just said, and I’m kind of thinking that’s what’ll happen, Bill. I don’t have a crystal ball, but, you know, it’s January the 5th. All of you listening, mark my words. I’ll be shocked, Bill, if that doesn’t turn out that way.
SPEAKER 11 :
And I just have to ask these people that are moderately liberal. I mean, you don’t have grocery bags. The eggs are gone up because the stupid chickens are out of the cage. We’ve got mill levy overrides being voted for. I mean, how bad does it have to get people? I mean, liberalism isn’t mental illness. These people got to be mentally ill to want to continue with this nonsense.
SPEAKER 07 :
Bill, even in our own party, I feel like mental illness has taken over in a lot of cases. There are people out there, Bill, that literally think, and I like Scott Bottoms. I think Scott’s a great guy. He thinks a lot like I do. But, Bill, Scott’s unelectable. He’s a great guy. He thinks exactly like I do. Therein lies the problem, Bill. He thinks too much like me. I’m not electable.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah. Yeah, it’s… Just feel like a deflated balloon over this.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, I’m sorry to say, and I’m like you, a native, and I’m going to keep fighting. I’m not giving up. But, man alive, we’ve got to get some sanity back into the party some way, somehow, Bill.
SPEAKER 11 :
Unbelievable. Completely unbelievable that they would go down this road.
SPEAKER 07 :
I know. I know. Bill, man, I appreciate you.
SPEAKER 11 :
You bet.
SPEAKER 07 :
And I appreciate that. Our first call of 2026, for me anyways, for a live program. And I know Andy was here filling in when I was gone, which I appreciate greatly, Andy. Thank you very much for that. I do appreciate that. Hopefully you all had a great weekend. Holiday, Christmas, and New Year’s, I did, and I appreciate all of you still listening in and tuning in and helping Andy and all of that. But again, I’m going to switch gears. We’ll talk about Venezuela when I come back. But this whole situation here locally, folks, you guys already know my frustration. I talk about it on an ongoing basis. In fact, there’s very few days, and I get criticized from some of you for this, but there’s very few days that go by I don’t talk about something with our local politics and just the destructive nature of what goes on inside of the GOP here locally. And unfortunately, we still have no leadership that can tie everybody together, partly because we’ve got a lot of what I consider to be anti-conservatives. They’re going to call themselves conservatives, but the Rhinowatch folk that are out there, they’re as far from conservative as it gets. They are not conservative. They’re wackadoodles that are clear off on. I don’t even know what spectrum they’re actually on. These are people that literally think individuals like Scott, who I love dearly, can actually win in Colorado. And it’s not attainable. I’m sorry, folks. It’s just not attainable. I don’t care what anybody says. I don’t care what they’re looking at. I don’t know where they’re getting their information from, by the way. They’re not smart people, and they’re not looking at the same things that I, Andy, and even others like Bill, who just called in a moment ago. The sane individuals in the state, they’re not looking at things the same way we are. And to Bill’s point, these are insane individuals on both sides of the aisle, a lot on our side as well, that literally have no idea what’s going on locally speaking when it comes to politics and really have no idea on how to win. And we talk about it a ton. Andy and I’ll talk more about it. I’m only going to do the one segment on the whole Greg Lopez, you know, dropping out and putting a U next to his name. His name, and it’s not an independent, by the way. A lot of people think, well, he’s independent. No, it’s unaffiliated. We don’t have independent voters in Colorado. We have unaffiliated voters. So what Greg has done is he’s not affiliated now with either party, and it’s a death nail for him and his future of politics or in politics here in Colorado. Dr. Scott Falkner coming up next. And again, if you’re looking for a really great doctor for 2026 that will help you with your health and literally doing that in a way that helps you out financially, to the most, and not big insurance and not big pharma, talk to Scott today. 303-663-6990.
SPEAKER 02 :
What if you could get over 110 lab biomarkers tested, just like Dr. Mark Hyman advertises, but for a fraction of the cost, and with a doctor who actually explains the results? At Castle Rock Regenerative Health, Dr. Scott Faulkner has recreated this powerful biomarker test panel at a substantial savings. We have a special price for both men and women. Just $689. That’s a savings of over $2,500 over the standard price. And here’s the difference. With Hyman, you get numbers on a page. With Castle Rock Regenerative Health, you get Dr. Faulkner and his team walking you through every result, showing what’s off and creating a personalized plan to fix it. What’s even better, you don’t even have to be a concierge patient to get this pricing. This is open to everyone. Think about it. Most people’s deductible is higher than this special price. And your regular doctor, if he could get approved by your insurance, would never order this many tests, let alone know what to do with them. Call 303-663-6990 today or visit CastleRockRegenerativeHealth.com. That’s 303-669-6990. Take control of your health at Castle Rock Regenerative Health.
SPEAKER 07 :

SPEAKER 03 :
The best export we have is common sense. You’re listening to Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay, we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Thanks for tuning in. We appreciate it greatly, at least I know I do, and appreciate all of you that call in and participate in what we do, the text messages and so on. I did get a text message a moment ago, and, you know, not totally wrong, and I get the gist of the text message, basically talking about how it really would be hard for anybody to win an election in Colorado on the Republican side. Even Abraham Lincoln would struggle with our mail-in voting and so on. Now, I’m not going to say that I totally disagree with that, but I don’t agree with that statement completely. And here’s why. We also have zero, zero leadership inside of the GOP here in Colorado. I’m sorry, folks. We just don’t have it. And we haven’t had now for a decade plus. And does that hurt? Yes. So combine that with the whole mail-in voting end of things. Yeah, it’s a total recipe for disaster. Unfortunately, though, what we’ve done as a party is we have bought into this whole, well, we can’t win anyway, so why bother trying? That’s a defeatist mentality. That really helps. I mean, could you still win in Colorado? I believe you can, yes. Write candidate, write campaign, doing things the correct way, solid leadership, get rid of all the knuckleheads that are trying to get in the way, like we just talked about with Greg Lopez, who’s going to screw things up. I mean, I can go down the list. And yes, there are ways, strategically speaking, to win in Colorado. It’s not a total, total loss. There are paths to success. Problem is, I don’t see anybody mapping that out. In fact, I’ll go as far as to say that I think there’s only one show, mine, here, Andy and I, that actually put any kind of roadmap out for success. A lot of people talk about things, they criticize things, they do this, they do that, but very few people actually map out, here’s how we win. Here’s how we win. we’re not doing that well enough, folks. I talk about it constantly because it bugs me to no end because I’m a Colorado native and we shouldn’t be in this position. And there’s an old saying, and it’s very true, everything rises and falls on leaders. So if something’s not working, then we don’t have the right leadership. And I’ve explained where I think we should have been here in Colorado, even currently right now with our chairmanship and so on, and no one wants to listen to me. Again, I put a bug in Greg’s ear early on when the chairmanship was up for grabs and so on. I threw a bug that direction, and it fell on deaf ears. Because I’m correct in what I’m saying. Greg would have been a great GOP chair and could have probably helped us. I’m not saying totally, but I think could have really helped move the football forward as far as us here in Colorado are concerned, unifying things and at least trying to get some of the just moronic, deadbeat knuckleheads that are in our party to maybe think things through a little differently. But. But that didn’t happen, unfortunately. By the way, and I’m getting reports back in from even my family, there is a big fire up in the northeast part of like the Lafayette area. There’s been some evacuation orders put into place, Dillon Road and some of that up there. So for those of you who are in that area, please be aware of that. I believe the wind, I’m looking at the flag down here, is blowing. And they have ordered an evacuation order. Let me look at this really quick. I just got this coming in. This just got posted up to X. There’s an evacuation order at 324 today due to a wildfire occurring in the area of Highway 287 and Dillon. So for those that are in that area, be aware of that. That’s actually where my business is. And so, yeah, I’ve got folks watching that right now, and I’ll keep you guys all abreast of that. But for those of you that don’t know about that, that’s what’s going on in that area, meaning if you’re up in that area, avoid that area. If you’re somebody that needs to evacuate, please do so. Don’t put yourself in harm’s way. But bottom line, be really watching for what’s going on up there. I’m getting some pictures coming in now, and it’s a fairly good-sized fire at the moment. So just be watching that and be aware of what’s going on up in that area. particular area. So again, sorry, Andy, and I’ll talk more about what’s going on here locally with Colorado GOP, and all of that. And we’ll get into more details in that tomorrow. And I’ll get Andy’s opinion on things, but I pretty much can tell you what Andy thinks. Same thing I do. We’re not off in our thought process. So Again, where does this take us? Back to Bill’s comment from the North Glen area. Where does this take us moving forward? It’s not good, folks. This one decision by one candidate has the potential to change things. Now, it depends on what he ends up doing. Does he stay in? Does he completely drop out? Who knows? Maybe he’ll have some sanity at some point and come to his senses and we’ll figure some things out differently that way. But again, I don’t know. So Venezuela. And I’ve had numerous people ask me my thoughts on Venezuela, not necessarily show-wise but outside of the show, but people that I know and that listen to the program and that, and, you know, asking me my thought process on this. It’s overdue. And the left is, of course, throwing a major fit because, again, they’re communists and dumb as rocks to boot. Most of them are followers. A lot of the protests that you’re seeing, by the way, are paid protesters. They’re not even, you know, real quote-unquote protesters. So I think it’s a great thing. It took about four hours to get him done. Now, there’s all sorts of conspiracies running around. I’m not going to get into all of those. There are several out there that there was some collusion literally with Maduro himself because he felt like he was being controlled by the Cubans, which he probably was. So did he actually just sort of give himself up or did they, in fact, go in and actually get him and so on? Folks, I have no idea. I really don’t. And some of this will pan out as time goes by. I don’t know. Bottom line is Venezuela is different today than it was a week ago. And it’s a good thing. Now, here is what is happening, that it will still pan out well when it’s all said and done. But there’s still a lot of the Maduro regime hanging around that are basically sort of balking at what we as a country have done and really, you know, mainly because they’re on the take cash-wise. They’re on the payroll still. And they don’t want to give that up, nor does anybody that’s on a high payroll. So they’re going to fight tooth and nail to make sure that they can control power some way, somehow. So even the gal that is sort of the interim that’s been appointed, even she, she’s finally coming around to her senses a little bit after Donald Trump basically threatened that either you do things the way we’re supposed to, you know, the way we want them done or else. And, of course, Trump, through all of this, has put a lot of other countries on high alert, rightfully so. Gone are the days of Joe Biden where we just hand everything over. Gone are the days of Obama where we just hand things over. We’re not doing that. Donald Trump means business. This has huge negative impact upon Russia and China and, by the way, other countries, Canada as well. And some of you might say, well, why countries like Canada? It’s a three-letter word, oil. As I talked even long before what took place this weekend, Venezuela, its oil reserves, the type of oil that it has, its heavy sour crude oil, which we have numerous refineries, especially in the Gulf, set up to refine that type of oil. I mean, this is a huge win for us. It offsets a lot of oil that we’ve got imported in from other places, Canada being one of those. Keep in mind the negotiations that are happening with Canada regarding trade deals and so on. We’re in a better position now than… And trust me, they know that. And Canada’s kind of been just sticking their middle finger up at us when it comes to trade deals. And I know some Canadian folk, I talked to one of them actually this morning, and they’re frustrated at the way their government is responding to all these things. And things just got worse for them. Not better, just got worse for them. And again, Andy and I’ll get into a lot of this even tomorrow on, you know, what all this means. But the bottom line is, this is not good for a lot of countries. And there’s a lot of criticism coming from countries that frankly are run by evil cartels, Mexico being one of them. And they’re critical of what the US just did. Well, yeah, because it’s going to cut into their wallet. And again, we’ll talk more about this, Andy and I will, tomorrow. But don’t forget, this is not just Donald Trump going after oil. That’s the first thing the left criticizes him of. And that’s only a very small piece of this. Donald Trump, in what he just did in Venezuela, just cut off funding to a lot of cartel terrorist organizations. That’s what really just happened. That’s why the president of Mexico is mad, by the way, because she’s on the take from the cartels as well. And if you don’t believe me, talk to anybody in Mexico and unless they’re extreme, you know, lefty in Mexico, they’ll tell you the same thing I just said. She’s on the take from the cartels as well. So, of course, she’s critical. Her paycheck just got affected. So what Donald Trump just did was affected a lot of people’s paychecks that are in cartels and evil organizations and so on. And he just cut off the head of the snake. And, yeah, they don’t like that. They’re mad. You know what? I would be too if I were them. I’m not. I can’t do what they do, of course, but they’re mad. And there’s other countries outside of Mexico even that are upset. You know, large countries that are mad about what’s going on. Now, not all. Some countries have rallied in there behind us for what we’re doing and so on. But the reality is, yeah, this is going to sting and hurt a lot of other countries. China and Russia being two of the biggest countries. And this will, trust me when I say this, this will have as much implication on the Ukraine-Russian war as probably anything Donald Trump has done yet. Because you just took away a major part of funding to Russia in doing so. So, again, these are things that we’ll continue to watch and talk about. I’m going to take a break when I come back. There’s a lot of folks on the left, amazingly enough, even though there was a bounty put out by the left. previous administrations on Maduro. They’re all saying now that, you know, this was illegal, shouldn’t have been done. Donald Trump doesn’t have the actual legal authority to do so. I’m going to come back and give a little civics refresher on the fact that, yes, in fact, he has the right to do so. I’ll get into some of the details as to why. So if you want to share that with some of the folks you might be hearing this from, that he didn’t have the right to do so. I’ll give a civics refresher here in a moment and explain that, yes, indeed, he has full power to do exactly what he did. Cub Creek heating and air conditioning. Now, we haven’t seen a lot of cold weather this winter, but heaters are still running. Furnaces are still running, I should say. And there’s been some big changes that went into effect the 1st of January for 2026 when it comes to furnaces and the replacement of. Find out how that might affect you. Talk to Cub Creek today. Find them at klzradio.com.
SPEAKER 05 :
Cup Creek Heating and AC are your friends in the business, here to help you navigate the new ultra-low NOx regulations taking effect January 1st. These changes could raise your energy bill by $60 to $100 a month. And after the new Colorado legislation takes effect, replacing a unit could cost up to 60% more. Cup Creek isn’t like those big corporate HVAC companies. They’re a father and son team who care more about doing what’s right than pushing a sale. In fact, Hunter talks often about how the industry has shifted towards sales instead of comfort and how Cub Creek refuses to operate that way. Hunter and the ream certified pro partner technicians at Cub Creek are true craftsmen. They take pride in their work. They operate with integrity and they’re always on your side. So let them give you an honest assessment of your furnace. If it still has life left, they’ll tell you. And if it’s time for a replacement, they’ll walk you through easy, affordable options before the new regulations drive prices up. Schedule your no-obligation consultation today at klzradio.com.

SPEAKER 03 :
Now back to Rush to Reason on KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 07 :
All right, somebody texted in also talking about local politics saying that all of the money coming in should actually be going to the four House seats. We have to make sure we retain those. And, you know, I can’t argue with that, to be honest with you. It’s just my – again, I can’t argue with that at all. I think that’s a very good statement. Not going to happen, but I think that’s a good statement when it’s all said and done. All right. Let’s talk about the fact that, yes, Donald Trump, in fact, did have the ability to do what he did. And by the way, those of you that are on the left where you’re basically thinking to yourself, well, no, he doesn’t, and he stepped out of bounds, and he did this, he did that, and he’s acting like a dictator. Folks, those of you on the left especially, your side has done this as well. It’s been repeatedly done on both sides of the aisle. So this is how U.S. presidents can use military force without Congress. A lot of people think the president needs Congress’s permission every time the U.S. uses military force. That’s not true. It’s not how the U.S. law actually works. Since the War Powers Resolution of 1973, every president of both parties has ordered limited military action without prior congressional approval and has done so legally. I’m going to repeat that. Since the War Powers Resolution of 1973, every president of both parties has ordered limited military action without prior congressional approval and has done so legally. Examples, Ronald Reagan, Grenada, and Libya. Bill Clinton, Kosovo. Barack Obama, Libya again and Syria. Donald Trump, Syria and Iran. Joe Biden, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen. How is it legal? Because the law allows it. Under the Constitution, the president is the commander-in-chief. Under the War Powers Resolution, a president may initiate limited military action to defend U.S. forces, citizens, or national interests. does not need advanced congressional approval to do so, must notify Congress within 48 hours, must end the operation within 60 days, plus 30 days to withdraw unless Congress authorizes continuation. Congress still has power, but it’s after the fact, not before. Congress can order a withdrawal. They can cut off funding. They can pass or deny an authorization for continued war if Congress does anything. The action stands, I should say. This isn’t a loophole. It’s been settled in this system for over 50 years, used by Democrats and Republicans alike. You can oppose a specific action, but pretending it’s illegal just because you dislike the president isn’t serious constitutional thinking. This is how the law actually works. And so I actually double-checked. That was a post I saw. that i thought well this is pretty much spot on i even shoved all of that into ai to double check to make sure that i wasn’t missing anything and it’s pretty much spot on i mean there’s a little bit of paraphrasing here or there but bottom line it’s spot on it’s been used by both sides of the aisle for a long time 50 years roughly so anybody that’s on the left that’s running around claiming that it’s unconstitutional. He didn’t have the power to do so. We shouldn’t be doing this. We shouldn’t be doing that. A, they don’t know history. B, they don’t know how the Constitution works. And typically speaking, these are very what I call uninformed individuals that repeat something else they’ve heard. They really haven’t dug into anything on their own, and they’re just regurgitating something somebody told them and really have no idea what they’re talking about. So for those of you listening, where you might be involved with a conversation with friends or family or coworkers or whatever, and you hear somebody say something to the effect of, you know, Donald Trump doesn’t have the right or the power to do so, they can actually plug this into any of AI, chat GPT, whatever, and it will tell them exactly what I just said. Meaning they haven’t done that themselves. Once again, which we have to make sure we don’t do, is take things at face value without doing our own research, which I do on a continual basis, as you all know. And I want to do my best to make sure that we’re correct in what we say here. The last thing I want to do is bring any information to you guys that’s false. And not you guys know me. If I ever have… When I’ve done that, because I’m not perfect, I have, there’s times I’ve done things that haven’t been correctly, you know, haven’t been accurate and haven’t been done correctly. I come back and retract that and make it right. That’s what I do. I’m not going to say things that are wrong, knowing it’s wrong, and then just continue down that path. No, if I know what’s wrong, I’ll correct myself. You guys know that. In this case, I’m not wrong. He didn’t need, does not need congressional approval. Keep in mind, this thing lasted four hours. far less than a lot of other conflicts have gone on inside of other presidencies along these same lines. So Donald Trump did this in four hours. Now, again, I’m not going to get through and go down all the conspiracies that are out there. There’s voting machine conspiracies. There’s conspiracies that, you know, this was collusion between, you know, his regime and, you know, Trump. And, you know, he was afraid of the Cubans, so he went ahead and gave himself up and on and on and on. And, folks, I have no idea. I don’t know. I don’t run in those circles. I don’t have any inside information. By the way, neither do any of you. And frankly, neither do any of you that are listening to somebody else tell you that they do, because they don’t. Unless you’re in the inside room of the cabinet and you’re sitting in the situation room and you know everything that’s gone on up to that point, you don’t know either. Neither do they. There’s not a reporter one that knows all of what’s gone on here. So anybody that’s posting that, oh, yeah, this is so we can go down all the deep bunkers and pull out all the voting machines and determine exactly what happened in the 2020 election. No, sorry, folks. Might be a piece of it. Maybe. Not the only reason. And I’ll tell you this much. I don’t even know if that’s a reason. I have no clue. As I said. moving down the path as to what was being set up and done. I had arguments with listeners even, banned listeners now, over this. I never thought it’d be a huge conflict. I thought we might do something similar to what we just did. I said that on air. I never thought we’d have some sort of a land invasion, which we didn’t. We had a controlled extraction, not a land invasion. Two completely different things. A controlled extraction… of the fake president of—keep in mind, that’s one thing, too, the left continues to get wrong. He’s not the real leader of Venezuela. He stayed because of the corruption that was there and never left after the election said he should. He stayed. He was not truly in power, but he was because when you control all of the guns, quote-unquote, you have the power. But keep in mind, Cuba was helping prop him up in a lot of ways. And remember, it’s not just Cuba. It’s the CCP and Russia and others that are also colluding with them as well. Cuba is just the pawn. I’m by no means a foreign expert when it comes to all these things, but this was pretty easy to tell. Cuba never controls anything on their own. They’re the pawn that’s used by someone else. And have been that way now. Gosh, Charlie, I’m, what, 61 years old, so probably my entire lifetime and beyond. And Charlie’s agreeing with me. Yeah, Cuba’s just a pawn, folks. Always has been. Whether it’s Russia, in this case, whether it’s China, whether it’s a combination of, Cuba’s just a pawn. Now, what’s interesting is there were a number of Cuban soldiers that were actually killed in this mission, taken out, if you would, to make this mission successful. We had boots on the ground there watching what was going on, I believe, since June is what I read. Could be longer than that, but since about June. So believe me, we did our homework, and this was a very precise thing that happened. And this wasn’t just something willy-nilly that Donald Trump just went in and said, Leo, let’s pull the trigger and do this. No, no, no. This was all done in very precise, orchestrated order. That’s why it only took four hours to do. Now, I will tell you this. I don’t think the Biden administration or the Obama administration could have done this in four hours. They didn’t have the same personnel to do so. Didn’t have the same leadership, going back to what I talked about last segment. Didn’t have the same leadership to be able to do so. And as I said, everything rises and falls on leaders. In this case, good job, White House. Good job, Donald Trump. Now, some of the communication that’s come out since and some of the things that Donald Trump has said, I probably would have rephrased and done a little differently. But as I say all the time, I’m not him. I can’t speak for him. And I can’t for sure. I for sure can’t control his speech. He’s going to do what he’s going to do. He’s Donald Trump. In this case, though, did he do everything correctly? Yes. What’s going to happen next? Watch and learn. In fact, other countries that are out there, watch and learn. You know, this is the old FAFO thing. You know, F around and find out. Well, this guy did. In fact, there’s lots of video out there where he threatened us, threatened the country, threatened Donald Trump even, you know, come get me. He basically called us a coward. I don’t think he’s saying that today, by the way. So, anyways, do I think this was a good thing? I think you already know the answer there. Paul Leuenberger coming up next. What’s a good thing, by the way, is saving money on insurance. Paul Leuenberger can help you with all of that. He is my insurance broker. Talk to him today, 303-662-0789.

SPEAKER 03 :
Live and local, back to Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 07 :
And we are back. Okay, thanks for listening. I appreciate it very much. Rush to Reason, Debra’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Okay, when it comes to the conspiracy theories that are out there, the one thing I want to ask all of my audience, and you guys already know what I’m going to say, most likely, please don’t share things you don’t know are true. Because when we do, it makes us look really stupid. So, seriously, if you don’t know something is 1,000%, provable, true, you know it to be true. You know, unless you want to put a big disclaimer on say, you know, this is just a theory. Read it and give me your opinion. Okay, if you want to share something in that way, be my guest. But please don’t share something that’s a conspiracy as a fact, until you know for sure what it is. Because again, I’m big on this. It makes us look really, really stupid. And I saw a lot of these things happening once this particular extraction happened. I’ve seen all sorts of things posted on, and again, these are people that I love and respect and think they’re great, but I just wish they’d take a moment, think about hitting, before they hit that share button or they hit that copy and paste button, I really wish they would really investigate and look through what it is they’re posting before they hit publish or post or whatever you do. You can tell you how much I use social media, not a ton. Most of the time when I post, I have to have help because I don’t do much of it. Don’t care about it too thoroughly. I mean, I’ve got almost 5,000 friends on Facebook because of this program, but I post very little. And I know I should probably post more, but I just don’t care. Honestly, I don’t care. Producer Ann does a good job of keeping Rush to Reason’s Facebook page and all of that up. Outside of those things, personally speaking, again, I just don’t care. So you won’t see me hardly ever share anything along these lines, mainly because I won’t share anything I don’t know is true. I wish I could get the rest of the folk that I know on our side of the aisle, some are listeners, some are not, but I really wish I could get the rest of the folks that are on our side of the aisle to really be careful about what they post and share, making sure that it is 100% accurate before they actually do so. So if you know somebody that’s like that, you know, maybe you can send them a silent message and say, hey, you know, that last post probably isn’t true, might help us on our side as we fight this battle. All right, with that, we’re going to be right back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 10 :
The Average Guy’s Ordinary Average Guy
