SPEAKER 01 :
Welcome in. We’ve got a busy show for you today. We’ll take you to Davos where the President is speaking at the World Economic Forum as we speak. We’ll give you some of those highlights in just a minute. Of course, yesterday afternoon was a busy, busy day. The President arrived In Switzerland, just a few minutes late, actually about three hours late, according to Treasury Secretary Scott Besant. So here’s the story. As they were leaving the D.C. area last night, Air Force One had to return to Joint Base Andrews due to what is being called an electrical issue. On the plane. So they returned to Joint Base Andrews. The president was put on a different plane and then proceeded to make the trip where he ended up arriving, again, about three hours late, we’re told. White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt kind of joked about the Qatari jet, said it’s sounding better every day. Of course, we know that there’s a story there and that gift is of the Qatari jet. There’s a lot of things that has to be done to that airplane before it can be used as the official Air Force One. A little later in the show, we’re going to give you some of the details behind the scenes, if you will, about Air Force One. It’s an older plane. And as you know, airplanes, they have a pretty long lifespan. But when it’s carrying the most powerful man in the world, you would think, that we could have the best airplane in the world for him. Of course, a new Air Force One is on the way, but it’s been delayed, cost overruns. And so, anyway, the president late for the World Economic Forum. I’m not sure he was so upset about that. Look, they all waited on him, right? President Trump fueled speculation yesterday. And you could tell he was having a bit of fun with it. There’s been a lot of discussion. about Greenland recently. And this is a topic that Donald Trump has had in the back of his mind for years. He even broached the idea in his first term about the United States somehow acquiring Greenland. It is a very crucial piece of real estate between us and Russia. So yesterday, during his White House press conference, which he spent just over an hour talking about the accomplishments. Yesterday, of course, marked the one-year milestone of President Trump being back in the Oval Office. He fueled speculation. The reporter asked him, how far will you go? to acquire Greenland. In cut number eight, he had a very simple answer for that. Here’s the president.
SPEAKER 07 :
How far are you willing to go to acquire Greenland?
SPEAKER 01 :
You’ll find out. You’ll find out. And, of course, there’s the speculation that just fueled it because everybody now, well, what does he mean? What’s he going to do? And, you know, this is a topic, Greenland. Many of you have texted and emailed, and I appreciate that. They’re welcome today, 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. What do you think about this whole idea of us somehow acquiring Greenland? Boy, it’s gotten a lot of talk at the Economic Forum. A lot of European leaders don’t like the idea at all. Now, they love it when we’re throwing our money at them. They love it that we defend Greenland. And I think, what, there’s just over 50,000 people or so who live there. It’s just a vast area of land. But, boy, when you have someone like Donald Trump who appears to be on the verge of either buying it or taking it, everybody’s screaming, well, you know, this is crazy. You can’t do that. You just can’t do that. Well, you know what? The United States, if you look back over history, we’ve done it a few times in various ways. That’s how we have built our country. And as I kind of dug into the history of this, because at first I kind of hesitated. I’m thinking, is it right for us to just kind of insert ourself here? Yes, Greenland’s crucial. And yes, we defend Greenland. But when you look back over history, then it kind of occurred to me, that’s how we built our country. The Louisiana Purchase in 1803, we bought that area from France for $15 million. They were happy to get it. Now, at the time, everybody thought we were crazy for doing it. And you can go down the list. When we purchased Florida from Spain, $5 million. $5 million. Texas, we didn’t really spend a lot of money on Texas. We sort of annexed it. But still, people are wondering, well, why are you doing this? Other countries weren’t quite sure about it. Alaska, in 1867, bought it from Russia for $7.2 million. And at that time, people were thinking, why would you need Alaska? But it’s just part of… Building a nation. That’s how we became the economic power that we are today. So, is it just totally out of the question that maybe we should add Greenland to that list? I mean, what about Puerto Rico, Guam? That’s a little later, 1898, $20 million again from Spain. You see where I’m headed with this? I mean, Greenland isn’t about colonization or dominating someone. It’s about national security, our national security. And President Trump, he’ll always tell you he’s going to put America first. So if he sees an opportunity to improve our security, our national security, because look, if we don’t, somehow form a closer partnership, or if we don’t take more control of Greenland, somebody else will. That somebody else could be Russia. That someone else could be China. And back when we were acquiring some of these other properties, and people were saying at the time, why? Well, the question now is, why would we want Greenland Why wouldn’t we want Greenland if the opportunity is there? Why wouldn’t we want such a strategic piece of property in an area of the world that could improve our national security? And a lot of other things. A lot of other things come along with that. What do you think? Is Trump just raising these concerns over an issue that we shouldn’t even be talking about? Or do we need to proceed with this? Do we need to use every economic tool, every tool we have to get control of Greenland? Are we overreaching? 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. You can text me. Give me a quick call. Love to talk to you. We’ll put you in the queue. Talk as time permits. Email me, joey at joeyhudson.com. I’m Joey Hudson, in for Mike today.

SPEAKER 01 :
Mike Gallagher. Joey Hudson in for Mike today. I think it’s safe to say that the issue of Greenland is going to be top of mind at the World Economic Forum. That’s going to be a topic that will be discussed quite a bit. And it’s interesting to watch this unfold because, again, if you go back in history and you look at… Other areas that we have acquired, if you will. At the time, the president at the time, the leaders at the time, in some cases people were saying that, you know, it’s just crazy to do this. What are you thinking? Why do we need this property? And that’s where we are now. People are thinking, ah, that greedy Donald Trump, it’s a land grab. But there’s more to it than that. There’s more to the idea that maybe somehow we need to acquire or it appears that the president’s ready to just take it. Now, you tell me, should we be working towards a deal to where we buy it, we write a check? Or do we just take it? And how does that affect our alliance in NATO and with the European Union? Because they’re all just screaming over there right now because of our interest in Greenland. And again, they’re buying into the narrative that that the Democrats have been successful in painting of Donald Trump that he’s greedy and this is a land grab for Donald Trump. That this is all about his ego and his legacy. But the reason we elected Donald Trump a second time is because he puts America first. He wants what is best for our country. economically, for our national security. And Greenland does a bit of both. 800-655-MIKE, 1-800-655-6453. Rick in Florida has an idea about Greenland. Rick, you’re on the Mike Gallagher show.
SPEAKER 08 :
Hi, Joe. How are you doing today?
SPEAKER 01 :
I’m wonderful. How are you?
SPEAKER 08 :
Quick suggestion for when they complete the closing of the purchase of Greenland is Change the name. It’s never been green, but the name should be changed to East Alaska. East Alaska.
SPEAKER 01 :
Okay. Well, that has a ring to it. There you go. So what do you think, Rick? Do you think this is something that we really should proceed on?
SPEAKER 08 :
Absolutely. Yeah. The island is not in the European zone at all. It’s in the American zone hemisphere. Yeah.
SPEAKER 01 :
So when you hear some of the Europeans, and we heard a lot of it yesterday as they awaited the arrival of President Trump yesterday, oh, this is just going to destroy NATO. This is going to ruin our NATO alliance. I mean, what’s your response to that? They’re crazy. So what, huh? Yeah.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 01 :
Yeah. Hey, Rick, appreciate your phone call, 800-655-6453. And, you know, that’s the other thing about Donald Trump. Like it or not, he doesn’t care what the European countries think of this. He’s not asking their permission. Now, he would like for it to be a deal that everyone can win, but for all these years, Greenland has sat there, and for all practical purposes, we have been their only defense. If Russia or China had wanted to take control or to attack Greenland, we would have been the one that were defending it. I mean, I thought it was laughable. How many troops did they send over just recently? Was it like 30 or 40 or something like that? Like that was really going to defend the country if they were invaded? 800-655-6453. Look, I think that The French president and the prime minister of the UK, all these guys who are just raising their eyebrows and questioning whether or not this is something that we should be involved in. that they’re going to intimidate Donald Trump. They’re going to try to make him look bad. I think they’re going to be surprised on this. Speaking of the president, he is speaking right now. Let’s drop in and just listen to a quick excerpt of the president’s speech at the World Economic Forum.
SPEAKER 04 :
Windmills all over Europe. There are windmills all over the place. And they are losers. One thing I’ve… is that the more windmills a country has, the more money that country loses, and the worse that country is doing. China makes almost all of the windmills, and yet I haven’t been able to find any wind farms in China. Did you ever think of that? That’s a good way of looking at it. They’re smart. China’s very smart. They make them. They sell them for a fortune. They sell them to the stupid people that buy them, but they don’t use them themselves. They put up a couple of… big wind farms but they don’t use them they just put them up to show people what they could look like they don’t spin they don’t do anything they use the thing called coal mostly but china goes with the coal they go with oil and gas they’re starting to look at nuclear president trump uh speaking uh at the world economic forum and we’ll we’ll kind of monitor that and drop back in as time permits but uh
SPEAKER 01 :
Again, he arrived a little late because of an electrical issue with Air Force One, had to return to Joint Base Andrews, but he boarded another plane and arrived safely. And look, a much-anticipated meeting as there’s a lot of activity going on with the Europeans. And Governor Gavin Newsom is there. Have you heard about his arrival and his big splash? He just made an idiot of himself. What a clown. And he’s over there, I’m sure, sort of giving a preview of what his Democrat presidential candidacy might look like. Well, that was a big flop. I’m Joey Hudson. In from Mike, 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453 is how you join the conversation. Would make my dream come true Yeah, yeah, yeah I’d spend my life

SPEAKER 01 :
Mike Gallagher. Joey Hudson in for Mike today. Glad to have you along. You know, it seems like every day there’s a new bombshell investigation, fraud, scandal. It appears that there’s a new story developing out of California. where millions of dollars have gone to ghost students through various education programs, kind of like what we’ve seen in Minneapolis with the daycare centers. This involves the Department of Education with scholarships, part of a program there. Gavin Newsom, rather than being at the World Economic Forum bashing not only his president, but other European leaders should be home in California looking into this. There’s also a story out of Ohio that is pretty concerning as well. We know, of course, that the Trump administration has pretty much stopped illegals coming across the border. There’s still some on occasion, but that flood of people coming into our country was stopped very quickly. It just kind of shows you that we didn’t need a change or our new immigration system or our new border patrol. We just needed a president who was going to enforce what we had. And Donald Trump has done that. He’s been successful. Our former president, Joe Biden, wanted us to believe there’s nothing he could do about it. President Trump has shown very quickly that, yes, all you have to do is close the door. They’ll stop coming in. But there’s still a lot of people in our country, and that’s part of the entire operation with ICE is to identify those people, particularly the worst of the worst initially, and get them out of our country. So this story out of Ohio, it’s a video, undercover video, where – You see a lady who is identified as Patricia Golder. And according to the footage, she’s sort of one of these type of people that makes things happen. And she’s very proud of the fact that she can do that. She’s very proud of the fact that, and she primarily works with people from West Africa. And she’s sort of the deal-maker. In this video, and the total video is, I don’t know, probably, well, let’s see, it’s about 26 minutes. But you see her talking with this undercover person. She’s very proud of her work. At one point, she explains how she completes the forms with the help of various people within the government and how she gets Social Security numbers. And when she’s asked about how is this done or how is that done, it seems pretty simple. the way she’s doing this. She purposely sends information sometimes to multiple offices. If one catches on to her, she may send the application for the same person to multiple offices, knowing that one of the two will probably approve it. So let’s take a quick look at this. We’re going to start with cut number 19, how she describes the paperwork.
SPEAKER 10 :
Let’s say we’re able to get guys with paperwork or so on and so forth, or people are trying to get their paperwork together to get the job. Sorry? Yeah, but tell me, so can you do that? Yeah.
SPEAKER 05 :
What should I pull for him? It is a 442. If I have to pull the 169, then she said 169. I go to the library. I pull 169, get a copy. Then I fill it out. When they get the right permit. You take out the top number, and you fill out the form, Social Security form. There’s a place for the eight numbers. You put in the eight number right there, then Social Security will mail you the card. So our card comes in. So when they get their card, you issue their card and pay them. You give it to them. Then they want driver’s license. You take the same Social Security card number, And you can do it on your phone, because I have a smartphone. You can put it on your phone. And when they get the Social Security, then you go ahead and get the ID.
SPEAKER 10 :
And you can get the driver’s license. So you can take guys, you can help them get their paperwork together for the work permit. Then you can get the work permit, get them the Social Security card, and then for the Social Security card, you can get them a state ID and then a driver’s license.
SPEAKER 05 :
And they’re ready to go.
SPEAKER 10 :
How many have you done? Is this like you’ve done like one or two?
SPEAKER 05 :
A lot. Okay. Suppose they’re in the country already.
SPEAKER 01 :
All right, so you kind of get the idea there when I ask how many have you done a lot. She says she’s been doing this for over 10 years. And she also at one point says that she has paid a judge or a judge has been paid $50,000. for his assistance. All she has to do is meet him at the bar, give him the information. This is happening in Ohio. Go to townhall.com. You can see the whole story. It’s posted on X. The whole video is just find me on X. Joey Hudson on X. President Trump is at the World Economic Forum. We have some updates for you. He is slightly late getting there because of an issue with Air Force One. I’m Joey Hudson in for Mike today.
SPEAKER 02 :

Joey Hudson in for Mike. Glad to have you join us today. A lot of ways for you to join the conversation. You can call, of course, 800-655-MIKE. You can text me, 1-800-655-6453. Email me directly, joey at joeyhudson.com. Boy, there’s a lot to cover this hour. President Trump is at the World Economic Forum. And one of the probably the big statements today, and he’s covered a lot already, but he just announced there’s been a lot of discussion, of course, about the U.S. acquiring Greenland, and we’re going to get to that. I’m going to get your feedback in a minute as well. The president just said this, though. He said, that’s probably the biggest statement I’ve made because people thought I would use force. Now, what he had just said is he will not use force to acquire Greenland. He said, I don’t have to use force. I don’t want to use force. I won’t use force. All the United States is asking is for a place called Greenland. So that just coming out of the World Economic Forum. Now, the president has talked a lot about a lot of different things. You know, he can cover a lot. Just a few moments ago, he called out, and this is cut number 17, he called out Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to his face for not being grateful for what America has done.
SPEAKER 04 :
All we want from Denmark… for national and international security and to keep our very energetic and dangerous potential enemies at bay is this land on which we’re going to build the greatest golden dome ever built. We’re building a golden dome that’s going to, just by its very nature, going to be defending Canada. Canada gets a lot of freebies from us, by the way. They should be grateful also, but they’re not. I watched your prime minister yesterday. He wasn’t so grateful. But they should be grateful to us. Canada lives because of the United States. Remember that, Mark, the next time you make your statements. What we did for Israel was amazing. But that’s nothing compared to what we have planned for the United States, Canada, and the rest of the world. We are going to build a dome like no other. We did it. We did it for Israel.
SPEAKER 01 :
And in relationship to Greenland, he had a message for Denmark saying that they’re very ungrateful for the U.S. defending Greenland all these years. Cut number 15, guys.
SPEAKER 04 :
We saw this in World War II when Denmark fell to Germany after just six hours of fighting. and was totally unable to defend either itself or Greenland. So the United States was then compelled, we did it, we felt an obligation to do it, to send our own forces to hold the Greenland territory. And hold it we did, at great cost and expense. They didn’t have a chance of getting on it, and they tried. Denmark knows that. We literally set up bases on Greenland for Denmark We fought for Denmark. We weren’t fighting for anyone else. We were fighting to save it for Denmark. Big, beautiful piece of ice. It’s hard to call it land. It’s a big piece of ice. But we saved Greenland and successfully prevented our enemies from gaining a foothold in our hemisphere. So we did it for ourselves also. And then after the war, which we won, we won it big without us. Right now, you’d all be speaking German and a little Japanese, perhaps. After the war, we gave Greenland back. Denmark. How stupid were we to do that? But we did it. But we gave it back. But how ungrateful are they now? So now our country and the world face much greater risks than it did ever before because of missiles because of nuclear because of weapons of warfare that i can’t even talk about two weeks ago they saw weapons that nobody ever heard of they weren’t able to fire one shot at us they said what happened everything was discombobulated they said we’ve got them in our sights press the trigger and nothing happened no anti-aircraft missiles went up There was one that went up about 30 feet and crashed down right next to the people that sent it. They said, what the hell is going on? Those defensive systems were made by Russia and by China. So they’re going to go back to the drawing boards, I guess. Greenland is a vast, almost entirely uninhabited and undeveloped territory. sitting undefended in a key strategic location between the United States, Russia, and China. That’s exactly where it is, right smack in the middle. Wasn’t important nearly when we gave it back.
SPEAKER 01 :
President Trump at the World Economic Forum today had a message for a lot of people. And, of course, the big topic has been Greenland. Because yesterday, the president held a news conference in the White House press room. to a packed group, by the way. And he kind of threw a tease out there because one of the questions, of course, this is cut number eight. One of the questions was, how far will you go to acquire Greenland? Here’s the president’s response.
SPEAKER 07 :
How far are you willing to go to acquire Greenland?
SPEAKER 01 :
You’ll find out. President!
SPEAKER 09 :
President! President!
SPEAKER 01 :
You’ll find out. And, of course, that created a lot of speculation. Is he going to invade Greenland? Are we going to just take Greenland? Is this an acquisition or a hostile takeover? And, of course, he has allayed those fears this morning by clearly saying that we are not going to take Greenland, but we do want to buy it under favorable terms. And this is classic Donald Trump. Don’t you think? He kind of throws that out yesterday. The whole world is talking about it. European leaders are just in a twit over there yesterday. They’re condemning Trump. They’re talking about, you know, he’s egotistical, that he’s stepping out of his lane, that he just wants this as part of his legacy. But yet now, when you get back to it and you start the conversation, so we go from, all right, we’re going to take it, we’re going to just a hostile takeover to, no, we want to buy it. It sounds better, doesn’t it? It sounds more favorable. Well, gosh, he’s going to pay for it. He’s going to buy it. And you’ve got to think about the history here. It wouldn’t be the first time that we have acquired property to build our nation. We’re going to jump into some of that in just a few minutes. I’m going to give you a quick history lesson when we return about some of those other purchases that we know about. And when they were being discussed… Leaders were saying the same thing. This is crazy. We shouldn’t be doing this. 800-655-MIKE, 1-800-655-6453. Love to hear your take on it. Still waiting on somebody to call me and tell me that it’s not a good idea. So far, everybody’s in favor of it. Everybody agrees with the president. We need Greenland. Send me a quick text. Email me, joey, joeyhudson.com. Give me a quick call if you think that it’s not a good idea, if it’s not within our best interest to acquire Greenland. I’m Joey Hudson, in for Mike.
