In this episode, Kim Monson dissects complex political topics from early childhood education tax districts to the importance of understanding legislation that affects every facet of our lives. Joined by guests like Alan Thomas, the show emphasizes the significance of civic engagement and understanding the fine line between freedom and force. With insightful discussions on modern policy impacts on everyday citizens and reflections on historical figures like George Washington, this episode provides a rich tapestry of political awareness and encouragement to stand up for what’s right.
SPEAKER 02 :
It’s the Kim Monson Show, analyzing the most important stories.
SPEAKER 06 :
An early childhood taxing district? What on earth is that?
SPEAKER 02 :
The latest in politics and world affairs.
SPEAKER 06 :
I don’t think that we should be passing legislation that is so complicated that people kind of throw up their hands and say, I can’t understand that.
SPEAKER 02 :
Today’s current opinions and ideas.
SPEAKER 06 :
And it’s not fair just because you’re a big business that you get a break on this and the little guy doesn’t.
SPEAKER 02 :
Is it freedom or is it force? Let’s have a conversation.
SPEAKER 06 :
indeed let’s have a conversation and welcome to the kim monson show thank you so much for joining us you’re each treasured and valued you have purpose today strive for excellence take care of your heart your soul your mind and your body my friends we were made for this moment in history thank you to the team and that’s producer joe luke rachel zach echo charlie mike amanda and all the people here at crawford broadcasting happy friday producer joe happy friday kim And check out the website, although it is actually under construction right now. We have a big announcement that’s going to happen this Sunday. And so stay tuned. It’s going to be just huge. And so you can’t go to the website right now. You can, but it’s not right there. It’s not there. But stay tuned because we’re taking it to the next level. So stay tuned on all that. As you know, we look at these issues through this lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And it’s not compassionate, and it’s not altruistic to take other people’s stuff, whether or not it’s their rights, their property, freedom, livelihood, opportunity, childhoods, or lives via force. Force can obviously be a weapon, but it can also be policy. Unpredictable in excess of taxation. fees fear coercion government induced inflation and this agenda by the globalist elites in the world economic forum that’s playing out all the way down to municipal government as you know we focus on the issues we’ll mention the people pushing the issues but we try to stay out of all the eighth grade girl personality fighting that can happen in politics and we got a full house today In studio is frequent guest host, frequent guest, author at the Kim Monson Show, and that is Alan Thomas.
SPEAKER 09 :
Great to be here, Kim.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s great to have you, and you’re going to be a big part of this new endeavor that we have going on. You’re going to be teaching a class, and we’ll just keep that as a teaser, but it’s going to be awesome.
SPEAKER 09 :
It’s a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to it for sure.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s going to be great. And also in studio is my friend Kane. He is the founder of Task Force Freedom Northern Colorado. It’s great to have you here.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, thank you. We’re at TaskForceFreedomNoCo.com. And let’s continue to pray for Tina Peters that she gets released.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yes, for sure. For sure. And then Ben Williams with Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. If you’re having any challenges with your own personal climate, reach out to Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. And that’s B-E-N-Z. But there’s two Ben’s in Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling, isn’t there?
SPEAKER 13 :
That’s right. Yep. Ben Sr. and Ben Jr. Yeah. So it’s good to have you here. Great to be here, Kim. Thank you.
SPEAKER 06 :
And a great sponsor of the show. We greatly appreciate that. And another great sponsor of the show, and that is Teddy Collins with Spartan Defense. It’s great to have you here, too.
SPEAKER 08 :
Thanks for having me on, Kim.
SPEAKER 06 :
And you are, in your spare time, running for office, aren’t you? yeah what little spare time there is yes ma’am i i don’t think you probably sleep much but teddy i was thinking about it as i i said here it’s not compassionate to take other people’s stuff and one of the things that’s on the table here in colorado is our children and their childhoods and you mentioned something before we went on the air about a piece of legislation that um it’s very telling what happened with it so explain this to us
SPEAKER 08 :
Senator Mark Baisley, my predecessor, the seat that I’m running for, he had put a bill, SB 26-055. What that bill would have done was it would have created a registry for any teacher who had committed a gross misconduct against a student, whether it be sexual or physical abuse. And the Democrats, well, they shot that down. I went to testify in favor of that bill as a father of two daughters this last week. And everybody there was testifying in favor of this bill or in the amend position. We had one person testify against that. And can you guess what lobby they were from? The teachers union. That’s 100 percent correct. One person from the teachers union.
SPEAKER 06 :
You didn’t tell me that. I just guessed.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, no, 100 percent. She got up there and stated that this would affect their ability to hire new teachers because it would dissuade teachers from basically signing up for the job. Well, I mean, if they’re going to be worried about being a sexual predator or abusing a child, I don’t think they should be in that job.
SPEAKER 06 :
I agree. It’s really telling on what’s happening down there. And there’s been, let’s see, I don’t have Bill Track 50 up right now. There’s been, it’s coming in on 500 pieces of legislation or, well, either bills or resolutions. I’ll tell you right now as we, I’ll pull it up here. But it is so important. These offices are so important for citizens to step forward. So thank you to you. And it’s a family effort.
SPEAKER 08 :
It really is. Yeah, my wife is actually doing about four weeks here with our third child, our first son. One of the reasons I’m doing this is for my children, for every child out there in Colorado and every family out there in Colorado. I feel like it’s a necessity for good people to step up that actually want to accomplish something and that aren’t going to get in there and just do the status quo that are just going to be a rubber stamp. That’s definitely not me. So.
SPEAKER 06 :
How can people get more information about your campaign?
SPEAKER 08 :
They can go to collinsforcolorado.com, and that’s Collins for spelled out Colorado.com.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay. And so thank you. It’s great. We’re going to have some amazing conversations here. And I will give you this right now because 473 bills or resolutions have been proposed. And this evening… I go, as president of the Colorado Union of Taxpayers, I’m looking at this particular point in time. There’s 171 bills that are scheduled for hearing for next week. So what that means is this Friday evening, I’ll be going through all those bills and looking at them through the lens of how it affects the taxpayer. We want to protect Tabor, Colorado’s taxpayers’ bill of rights, property rights, parental choice. We also are looking at these election bills because these elections, who is in office, affects all of those other things. And we talked yesterday with Wendy Warner about the – I can’t remember the bill number, but the modifications – to elections, which is 44 pages long. And it’s not because they’re trying to make it more free, fair, honest, and transparent. So join us at Colorado Union of Taxpayers. That way you will get the email that goes out on Monday morning to all the legislators and the governor regarding our positions on pieces of legislation that are scheduled for hearing for the next week. And we also… invested in something called cut engaged where we select some bills where you can make your voices heard Ben Williams I know that you have used that so it’s a it’s really great if you can’t get down there and testify you’re busy with your family busy with your friends or well and your business this is a great way to make your voices heard and if we can get more and more voices to be heard on this I think hopefully they’ll start to pay attention but you’ve used the system
SPEAKER 13 :
Yes, and I am definitely not a computer guy, but it is so simple, really super simple.
SPEAKER 06 :
And so there’s three bills that we selected for this last week. There’s also one scroll down to House Bill 261001, which was their first bill out of the chute, taking away our voices, taking away local control of our neighborhoods. Make sure you have your voices heard on that. And the people that make this happen are my other fellow volunteers at Colorado Union of Taxpayers. That’s Steve Dorman, Greg Golianski, Russ Haas, Bill Hamill, Rob Knuth, John Nelson, Wendy Warner, Marty Nielsen, Rami Johnson, Mary Jansen, Dave Evans, Corey Onazorg, Paula Beard, and Ray Beard. When you see these folks, say thank you to them. It is our last broadcasting day of February. We’ve been talking about George Washington on a regular basis. And many of you have reached out and said, gosh, I never knew about that. And so I thought it would be appropriate for the end of the month to talk a bit about his farewell address, which we’ll do here in just a moment. But as I was going through his farewell address last night, I was just getting all kinds of new words of the day. The man really has quite a vocabulary. And so this word is inviolable, and it is secure from violation or profanation. It’s impregnable to assault or trespass, invincible, and not susceptible to hurt, wound, or harm. And that’s one of the words in his farewell address. So good luck on trying to use this. You know he’ll use it in a word today, gain. Yep, is Alan. Alan’s going to use it.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yep, probably multiple times.
SPEAKER 06 :
But your challenge is to use inviolable in a sentence today. Our quote of the day is from his farewell address. george washington was born in 1732 died in 1799 he was a founding father our first president the commander of the continental army he oversaw the constitutional convention he was our first president and he said this government that its administration in every department may be stamped with wisdom and virtue that in fine the happiness of the people of these states under the auspices of liberty, may be made complete by so careful a preservation and so prudent a use of this blessing, as will acquire to them the glory of recommending it to the applause, the affection, and adoption of every nation which is yet a stranger to it. Pretty amazing, huh? And that is from George Washington’s Farewell Address. I did want to mention another one of our great sponsors is Hooters Restaurants. They have locations in Loveland, Westminster, and in Aurora. The owners are true patriots, love America. And how I got to know them was when I was on city council, and the real question was the proper role of government. and freedom and free markets and capitalism versus those that want to control our lives. And so they have specials Monday through Friday for lunch and happy hour. Saturdays, kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entree. And so be sure and check out Hooters restaurants in Westminster, Loveland, and Aurora.
SPEAKER 10 :
Don’t forget the fish tacos. They are the best.
SPEAKER 06 :
They are great. Well, I haven’t had them.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, my God. They’re huge, too, by the way. They’re delicious.
SPEAKER 06 :
I love the nachos, and I do like the fish and chips as well.
SPEAKER 10 :
And so, I don’t know if your audience knows, but I used to own and operate restaurants. I own a couple of barbecue places and dessert places. And Hooters, amazing service. Absolutely amazing service.
SPEAKER 06 :
And you normally go to the one probably up in Westminster, yeah?
SPEAKER 10 :
Lovelet.
SPEAKER 06 :
Or Lovelet, excuse me, yeah. But great sponsors of the show and also sponsors of America’s Veterans Stories as well. And also, you might be able to save some money. In fact, Ben, you saved some money by calling Roger Mangan, yes?
SPEAKER 13 :
You know, I’ve had two rounds with Roger, and all total saved $3,000. That’s amazing.
SPEAKER 06 :
That’s real money in your pocket.
SPEAKER 13 :
That’s real money.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. So if you want to try to save some money, give the Roger Mangan team a call.
SPEAKER 10 :
I’m actually going to call them after the show today.
SPEAKER 06 :
And that number is 303-795-8855. Like a good neighbor, the Roger Mangan team is there.
SPEAKER 05 :
We are number one. In 2024, Newsweek reported that Colorado has the most car thefts in America. The Roger Mankin State Farm Insurance team knows that when you need to make an insurance claim, the financial strength of your insurance company is important. State Farm consistently receives high marks for the company’s financial condition and ability to pay claims. That’s 303-795-8855. Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.
SPEAKER 16 :
April 26, 1777. Colonel, the British are raiding Danbury and burning the town. I’ll go tell them. Sixteen-year-old Sybil Ludington mounted her horse and rode 40 miles through night and pouring rain. That’s twice the distance of Paul Revere to sound the alarm.
SPEAKER 01 :
Quickly.
SPEAKER 16 :
assemble at my father’s house the kim monson show is our modern day sybil luddington bringing us the latest breaking news in the battle for truth and freedom ben’s plumbing heating and cooling is proud to stand with kim will you stand with us get engaged with the issue that keeps you up at night so that you can influence your school and community with truth and justice And for quality craftsmanship at a fair price, call or text Ben’s Plumbing, Heating and Cooling at 303-995-1636. SPEAKER 17 :
To learn more, reach out to Kim at Kim would love to talk with you. Again, that’s kim at kimmonson.com.
SPEAKER 06 :
And welcome back to the Kim Monson Show. And this is the last day of February. We’ve been talking a lot about George Washington. And I would recommend that you check out his farewell address. But this is from the United States Senate Historical Office. And it said, in September of 1796, worn out by burdens of the presidency and attacks of political foes, George Washington announced his decision not to seek a third term. With the assistance of Alexander Hamilton and James Madison, Washington composed in a farewell address his political testament to the nation. Designed to inspire and guide future generations, the address also set forth Washington’s defense of his administration’s record and embodied a classic statement of Federalist doctrine. Washington’s principal concern was for the safety of the eight-year-old Constitution. He believed that the stability of the republic was threatened by the forces of geographical sectionalism, political factionalism, and interference by foreign powers in the nation’s domestic affairs. Kind of sounds like now, right, Alan? He urged Americans to subordinate sectional jealousies to common national interests, writing at a time before political parties had become accepted as vital extra-constitutional, Opinion-focusing agencies, Washington feared that they carried the seeds of the nation’s destruction through petty factionalism. Although Washington was in no sense the father of American isolationism, since he recognized the necessity of temporary associations for extraordinary emergencies, he did counsel against the establishment of permanent alliances with other countries, connections that he warned would inevitably be subversive of America’s national interest. washington did not public publicly deliver his farewell address it first appeared on september 19 1796 in the philadelphia daily american advertiser and then in papers around the country in january 1862 with the constitution endangered by civil war a thousand citizens of philadelphia petitioned congress to commemorate the forthcoming 130th anniversary of george washington’s birth but by providing that the farewell address of washington be read aloud on the morning of that day in one or other of the House of Congress. Both houses agreed and assembled in the House of Representatives Chamber on February 22, 1862, where Secretary of the Senate John W. Forney rendered the farewell address very effectively, as one observer recalled. The practice of reading the farewell address did not immediately become a tradition, but the address was first read in regular legislative sessions of the Senate in 1888 and the House in 1899. The House continued the practice until 1984. since 1893 the senate has observed washington’s birthday by selecting one of its members to read the farewell address the assignment alternates between members of each political party and at the conclusion of each reading the appointed senator inscribes his or her name and brief remarks in a black leather-bound book maintained by the secretary of the senate and ben williams did you know that
SPEAKER 13 :
I did not know that. That’s fascinating.
SPEAKER 06 :
Isn’t that fascinating? Yeah. But let’s get over to, there’s a lot of fascinating, concerning things that are happening in the plumbing, heating, and cooling business. It’s always an adventure. Yes. Yesterday, and we want to get to, you wanted to talk about the chlorination of water, but we’ve got to address these water heaters because Karen Levine mentioned it earlier this week, Bob Boswell, the Clean Heat Plan. and it’s going to increase the cost significantly for everyday people. This is a wealth transfer away from everyday people. That’s why Teddy Collins running for state senate is so important. But tell us about what’s coming down the pike with these water heaters.
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah, so if you remember last month, I brought in a code book, and Kim, you did a fascinating and impressive job of reading from the code book. It was riveting.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes, riveting, yeah, riveting.
SPEAKER 13 :
So backing up a step, this new legislation that went into effect January 1st is basically requiring that gas-fired water heaters or furnaces have to meet this ultra-low NOx legislation, basically super high efficiency. So, of course, the equipment itself costs a lot more. It may require different venting, you know, so it gets painful really fast. But the thing that we really want our listeners to know, and this is going back to what you read, Kim, just because there’s a code change does not mean that you have to upgrade your furnace or your water heater. So if somebody comes in the house to service your furnace, your water heater, and they say, oh, you know, there’s a new code. You have to change out your furnace. You have to change out your water heater. Tell them, well, you know what? I’ve got the number for Teddy Collins with Spartan self-defense. Am I getting that right? Spartan defense. Spartan defense. Yeah. We should call him or call Ben’s plumbing, heating, and cooling for a second opinion. You do not have to change it out just because the law changed or the code has changed. You can, as long as it’s being maintained and serviced, you can ride that baby out for however long it’ll go.
SPEAKER 06 :
Until we can get this changed, right?
SPEAKER 13 :
Man, wouldn’t that be awesome? Yeah. That’d be really great.
SPEAKER 06 :
And that was passed in, I think, 2021. But then they made it effective after their elections times. Yeah. But it could increase the cost of a new water heater. Significantly. To $7,500 to $10,000. This is a wealth transfer away from the American middle class. Yeah. So let’s get over here to the subject of the day, though, and that is chlorination of our water. And Pam Long has been advocating to get rid of chlorination in our water. So let’s talk a little bit about that.
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah, so, you know, Kim, I have always been fascinated with plumbing. I don’t know why, but sometimes things are just in our DNA. My parents purchased some land and built a house in 1976. And the toilets had, you know, the fill valve that regulates the water coming in and shutting off in the toilet. It was brass. Today, 2026, those parts are still in there and functioning. Isn’t that interesting? Yes. So I moved to the big city. Here we are in, you know, Denver, Colorado. And I’m noticing all these homes, you know, built in the early 2000s and the brass fittings are going out. sometimes so here’s a key thing that i just want to make sure everybody knows about there are times when you have a leak and you need to shut the water off you need to know where the main shutoff is on your main water line and and typically there’s going to be a meter outside you know along the street along your front sidewalk or whatever and they will typically just trench a line from that meter pit to your house more or less in a straight line maybe angled a But, like, if you have a basement or a crawl space, it’s just going to come in at the closest, you know, most expedient way for when they ran that water line. And then when it pops into the house, there’s going to be a shutoff valve. So typically, like, if you have a basement, there’s going to be a little access panel, or if the basement is unfinished, you’ll just see this copper pipe come in, and boom, there’s your shutoff valve. So it’s important to know where that is in case you need to shut things off. But here’s the crazy part. If you have an older style gate valve, this is where you have the round handle and you turn, turn, turn. And it has a little bit of a slot on the body. You could Google this. What does a gate valve look like? I’m going to get on it. Those are notorious for snapping. Okay. And that’s a problem. And they’re made out of brass. But the chlorination in the water leaches zinc out of the brass, and it becomes very brittle. So this is called de-zincification.
SPEAKER 18 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 13 :
We could make that our word for the day.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. Spell that one.
SPEAKER 13 :
So, anyway, it’s just fascinating with the chlorine that’s in the water, how it not only leaches metals out of the brass, which, you know, makes it deteriorate faster. You can buy fittings. They’re called DZR fittings, and they’re made to resist this de-zincification. But you can also put in some ball valves, you know, that have the stainless steel ball and a neoprene fitting, so the chlorine isn’t affecting that as much. Okay. Anyway, it’s a fascinating thing, the breakdown of plumbing because of the chlorine. And, of course, I’m not all up to speed on the health aspects, but I know that chlorine greatly affects your digestive system and different things in your body. And, of course, the reason for putting chlorine in the water is to kill off any bacteria. I get it. In my opinion, I think it’s probably a bit too much chlorine. But, you know, it’s crazy. If you go down to Mexico, we did a project down there to go help build some houses a number of years ago, and everybody had a 55-gallon barrel set up. And I said, what’s that? Oh, that’s our water supply. The water truck would come around once a week and fill these 55-gallon barrels, and they would go and dip out of the barrel, and that’s what they’re drinking or cooking with. Hmm. I did not drink the water. But, you know, isn’t it interesting how cultures who have, I don’t know, what we would call, I don’t know, less than perfect conditions, their immune systems are stronger and they can handle that. We in our perfect, clear, pristine culture can’t handle these little obstacles in life that come along. And, you know, it’s just like in our school systems. We have chlorinated, purified, supposedly, our school systems, but we have no immune system morally or spiritually. And, you know, last month, Kim, I mentioned the McGuffey Reader. Right. And it’s a set that goes from primer, which would be like kindergarten, up through sixth grade. And I have so enjoyed the third grade reader. It’s at my level. Yeah. But these were written in the 1800s, and I want to read just one little short piece out of here. These are stories that the teacher would say, hey, we’re introducing some new words, and I want you to write this out. And then she would assign different segments for the kids to memorize and recite. So this is a little short piece. excerpt out of things to remember from the third grade reader says when you rise in the morning remember who kept you from danger during the night remember who watched over you while you slept and whose sun shines around you and gives you the sweet light of day let god have the thanks of your heart for his kindness and his care and pray for his protection during the wakeful hours of day when you’re at the table do not eat in a greedy manner like a pig Eat quietly and do not reach forth your hand for the food, but ask someone to help you. Never do anything that you would be afraid or ashamed that your parents should know. Remember, if no one else sees you, God does, from whom you cannot hide even your most secret thought. Can you imagine putting this kind of learning material online? into sixth graders’ minds and they’re writing it, they’re memorizing it. And this is why I’m convinced that our greatest generation did what they did because this was a part of their life. And I think that we so desperately need to get back to that. So we had several homeschool people reach out, and we sent some of these out last month. I want to do that again. And it doesn’t have to be homeschool, but even if you have a family of children or maybe your grandkids or something, if this family… reads to their children or the children are you know enjoy reading i’d like to make two sets of these available again so um and of course also if you would like a bible for yourself or for somebody else i’d happy to give those out unlimited number um it’s the new living translation so it’s easy to read has some notes in there that help to explain the questions that we all have like why do bad things happen to good people you know just some of those things that we wrestle with So if you would like, I’ll make two sets of the McGuffey Readers available and, of course, Bibles. Just text me or call and leave a message, 303-995-1636, and we would love to get those sent out to you.
SPEAKER 06 :
And you had immediate takers last month for the McGuffey readers. Yeah. And, again, that number is 303-995-1636. You can text Ben right now or you can call him after the show. And thank you for doing that, Ben. We really appreciate that.
SPEAKER 13 :
Absolutely. You know, Kim, you have said a number of times we all need to do one thing. And this is one thing that I can do.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, we appreciate it. You can see why the left is so fearful. of that type of materials in the hands of children. I mean, in order to destroy our country, they have to remove religion, and they’ve taken it away. And look at what’s happening to the kids today in these government schools.
SPEAKER 06 :
I was recently in a classroom, which I haven’t been in a classroom for a long time, and it was fine, but I noticed on the wall that it had a couple of different things, and it said, it was like, X is for exhausted, and it said blue is angry or sad. And I thought, what is this? And then I talked with someone after it, and it’s this social-emotional learning. And I thought about this. This is creating kids to be victims, that you’re exhausted, that you’re blue, that you’re angry. And then the story that was told was a story about kind of an outcast bird. And I know that all of us at some point in time in school felt a bit of an outcast, but to enforce that stuff instead of telling stories like about George Washington and things like that. And I realized then that’s how you now then get to a point where you have mental health crisis. And I saw a headline yesterday that in California, The biggest recipient of Medicaid funds was Los Angeles. I think it was the schools, but Los Angeles for mental behavioral health.
SPEAKER 10 :
And this is Cain that’s talking. This is a good explanation as to why the last seven, six, seven mass shootings have been the LGBTQ community. They’re killing white children and they were indoctrinated in schools. Their mentality came from schools.
SPEAKER 06 :
And so, Teddy, Teddy Collins.
SPEAKER 08 :
I was just going to say, one of the reasons I decided to run for this race is my daughter’s actually had a threat against their school recently. About two weeks before I filed, 400 children in an elementary school, not a single armed guard. It’s unacceptable. Why do we not protect our children like we do everything else that’s near and dear in our life? We protect everything with security, hard targets, anything that we consider of value. Children are our ultimate legacy. We need to protect our children. And I believe you’re right. There’s definitely psychological issues. And there is a pattern we’re seeing in these mass shootings. And we have to we have to be honest about that.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, and Ted, the other thing that I find so interesting when you go down to the Capitol is you have to go through metal detectors. Correct. And they have armed guards. And they have armed guards. So these people that are sitting behind them making these laws preventing our children from being protected with staff that might want to train and carry a firearm. Like Faster Colorado. Exactly. That I find it somewhat hypocritical.
SPEAKER 08 :
Agreed. Rules for thee, but not for me.
SPEAKER 06 :
You got it.
SPEAKER 10 :
Again, I go back to, is this planned? Is this an unintended consequence? Or is this planned? They’re using their children as cannon fodder. They’re okay with it. It’s not difficult to take teachers who want to volunteer to carry a firearm. And they take the training. And they’re able to protect kids. As opposed to, we’re going to stack chairs against the door and pray that they don’t break in. And when he breaks in, we’re going to ask him, please don’t shoot the children.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, I asked my teachers as well after this occurred, what’s their plan in this situation? And they pointed into the corner and pointed at a baseball bat. And they thought that that was what was going to help them defend these children, these 30 or 40 children in these classrooms. You know… Again, there hasn’t been a single mass shooting in a school that’s had armed staff or armed teachers. Not once. And there’s schools across the country that do this. I used to train school marshals in Texas, folks, and it’s a very effective program. Why do we not have that here in Colorado? Well, blame the left and blame the Democrats, because they’re responsible for this. And I don’t know what lobby’s paying for this, but they’re using our children as cannon fodder. We have to protect our children.
SPEAKER 10 :
We have to protect our children. Our motto at Task Force Freedom is take your children out of the government schools.
SPEAKER 08 :
They are not safe on any level. Correct. And we need those tax dollars to follow those children. If people want to homeschool, those tax dollars need to go with them so that they can afford to do that.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay. Well, we’re talking with Teddy Collins, who is a sponsor of the show, with Spartan Defense, also running for Senate District 4?
SPEAKER 08 :
Yes, ma’am. Senate District 4.
SPEAKER 06 :
And Ben Williams with Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. We’ve got some questions coming in. We’ll try to get to those. As always, we get jammed up on time. Kane, who is the founder of Task Force Freedom Northern Colorado. We’re going to get to Alan Thomas regarding his most recent essay. So stay tuned. Yes. So I’m also the vice president of the Colorado for industry of the Colorado State Shooting Association. And today and tomorrow, we’ll be having a shooting range event at Centennial Gun Club with all kinds of firearms to come out and try machine guns even. that people can come out and try. And all the proceeds go to the Second Amendment with our lawsuits against the governor of Polis, the governor of the state, and against the state itself for the semi-automatic ban and the excise tax that they’ve imposed on firearms and ammunition. We’ll also be having a banquet on Saturday night. Our guest speaker is Grand Thumb, the YouTuber, biggest YouTuber in the world for the Second Amendment community. We’ll also have him at Centennial Gun Club. So, if you want to get out there and shoot some guns, go to the Colorado State Shooting Association’s website, cssa.org, and grab your ticket today. Awesome. And that is tomorrow evening, yes?

For the banquet tomorrow evening, for the range event, it’s going to be today and tomorrow.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, great. And all that is at cssa.org? Yes, ma’am. Got it. Okay. And our featured guest for this particular hour is Alan Thomas. He’s a frequent guest on the show, guest host, author. And together, we’re going to be rolling something out on Sunday. It’s the Kim Monson Show. membership community. And for the first 250 of you that come in at the Mount Vernon level, which is a $200 level, and we’ve got all kinds of things happening, you will be noted as a founding patron of the Kim Monson Show. But we’re also going to be having our first class, which will be taught by Alan Thomas. That’s a little ways down the road, but it’ll be on the Federalist Papers.
SPEAKER 10 :
He’s also known as Alan the Intellectual.
SPEAKER 1 :
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER 06 :
So I’m really excited about it, Alan.
SPEAKER 09 :
I’m beyond stoked for it. So it should be a lot of fun and just a great way to interact more and more deeply about the Federalist Papers on my side, but also an ability for people to talk more with you about a lot of these issues. So it should be a lot of fun.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s really exciting. So we’re going to roll that out on Sunday. But you wanted to talk about the power of the purse. And that is one of the things, if we could stop the money flow out to government, it would really be good for everyday people. But the founders were very thoughtful about this, yes? Yes.
SPEAKER 09 :
they were very thoughtful about it and the the name of the article is the impetuous vortex of the purse and it it got its name because um the genesis of this obviously was the supreme court decision about tariffs with president trump right and and basically they came down and said uh you’re the president you can’t come up with this this power resides in the legislative branch And so I wanted to take a step back, also knowing I was about a week late to comment on it. I wanted to take the 50,000-foot view of why is that? Why is the legislative branch in charge of the purse? Why was it designed that way? And is that still a good thing for us? So, of course, we turn to the Federalist Papers, and one of the great quotes that Madison has about the legislative branch is he says it’s the most powerful branch on purpose at But if we’re not careful, it might turn into this impetuous vortex of power that in other words, it might suck everybody in. So then it kind of gets you thinking, well, why didn’t they give the power of the purse over to the executive? Why didn’t they give why did they give it specifically, very specifically to the House of Representatives? You know, the House of Representatives has the origination clause for all funding bills. Why is that specifically given to one branch and one house within that branch? So, of course, we have to take ourselves back to 1776. We had just fought this revolutionary war. And we kind of have these two competing ideas grasping against each other. One is, we just came out of this Articles of Confederation, which was horrible about giving any sort of power away at all. It was specifically… designed to impede any progress at all. And George Washington knew as the general of the revolutionary army, I have no power to do anything. I have to sit here and wait on this legislative branch to do anything. We’re in emergency. We’re in a war people. Like we need action. We need the ability to defend our own turf. And I have to sit here and wait for a bunch of legislators to potentially vote on certain things when what we need now is action. So on one hand, the founding fathers knew we need some sort of emergency powers. We need we need action when it’s needed to protect the sovereignty of the nation. But on the other side, they just fought a war against a monarchy. They’re very scared of power consolidating to such a degree that they violate the inviolable natural rights of the everyday citizen. They didn’t want that to ever happen again. So you have these two competing frameworks to say, how do we design our government to, one, take action in an emergency, but also not have everything be an emergency? Because they knew that. They knew as soon as we give emergency powers to something, to an individual or a branch, everything’s going to be an emergency. Right? So they said, OK, well, it’s pretty obvious the executive branch is designed for emergencies. Right. It doesn’t have this this need to have hundreds and hundreds of people to agree with a path forward. It’s purposely designed to have action. So we’re going to give the power of the sword. We’re going to make the commander in chief the president because the executive branch can take action and take it quickly. And they don’t have to rely on a consensus of hundreds of people with competing interests. So then it’s pretty obvious, I think, to everybody sitting in the room, if you have the power of the army in this branch, the last thing you want to do is give the branch that has emergency powers the money and the ability to raise money, right? So pretty obvious that we now need to turn the power of the purse over to the legislative branch. And That’s also with the caveat that truly what they were, the reason they give it over to the legislative branch is the legislative branch is also the most representative. It’s the one that most directly reflects the will of the people because they knew that taxes are one of the most invasive and personal things that the government can do. I mean, we all know there’s two things that are certain in life. Death and taxes, right? So they knew taxes would most directly include people, and they also knew it would be the most visible thing that the government could do towards people. That is, as we all know, come April 15th, we’re all very keenly aware of how much money the federal government is taking from us. We’re probably a little less aware, but we also do see it whenever you pull the receipt out and you see all the sales taxes lined up. Taxes are very, very personal. So they said, well, the person that really should be in charge of the purse is the people. But our government isn’t set up where citizens can directly vote on bills and referendums and things of such. So they said, well, the next closest thing to the people will be the legislative branch. And so we should give this power to the legislative branch because… Also, it’s this fun thing we have in our system called checks and balances, right? So they said, you know, Madison puts it perfectly when he said, we set up the government for ambition to counteract ambition. So if one branch decides that they want to have more power, what better way to combat that power than by setting up ambition in the other branch? So if you have an executive branch that wants to consolidate power or do things that are beyond their constitutional authority, how can the legislative branch counteract that? Well, Kim, as you alluded to at the very beginning, the best way is to dry up all the funding. You know, if the executives go in a little off the rails, it’s very easy for the legislative branch to say, whoa, whoa, whoa, you’re not allowed to do that. So guess what? You have no money to do that now. So it’s this ambition counteracting ambition that was specifically designed into our founding to make sure that competing branches were actually doing that. They were competing against each other, and they always viewed it as they knew both branches would want more power. They knew this human nature within us to say, I want the power because I can do right. I can have good intentions. And I can have all the good intentions in the world. But we need to make sure that the power doesn’t distribute unevenly. We need to also make sure this power doesn’t breach its constitutional authority. And how best to do that than to have this competition between our branches of government.
SPEAKER 06 :

You can get that first season by going to AmericanValueCenter.org. In studio with me is Cain. founder of Task Force Freedom Northern Colorado, Ben Williams with Ben’s Pumping, Heating, and Cooling, Teddy Collins, who is the owner of Spartan Defense in Colorado Springs, also running for Colorado House District, excuse me, Senate District 4, and Alan Thomas, and we’re talking about the power of the purse.
SPEAKER 09 :
We are, and you know, one aspect of it that is quite fascinating is that The origination clause requires that the House of Representatives starts any funding bills. So the Senate can’t originate any funding bills. It has to come from the House of Representatives. And as we were talking about before the break, that makes a lot of sense now because they knew that the House of Representatives would most directly reflect the will of the people. So if we’re going to tax the people, we want to give them the most say. Well, then we need to let the House that’s elected every two years, the most frequently churned portion of our government, to reflect the will of the people. So with the understanding that, of course, it still has to go through both the Senate and the president to become an actual billboard. bill that actually gets funded so they said okay we want the people to reflect their opinions through the house of representatives but we also know there’s this thing called mob mentality and sometimes people think things are a good idea and they may not be a good idea in the long term so we’ll let the senate be able to put a halt to that and we’ll also allow the executive to say whoa whoa um You’re you’re going too far too fast as well. Right. So we still have this checks and balances, but they did want the people to have the most say. So then that kind of brings us into currently like what happened with this this tariff power that Trump tried to use. And why is this an issue now? Why wasn’t this an issue that was faced back then? Well, you look at it and you sit here and you say, OK, he tried to use these emergency powers, right, to say this is an emergency. We should use it. We need to have these these tariffs because there’s an emergency. And it’s funny because that’s something the founders completely predicted, right? We said if you give emergency powers to somebody, they’re going to find an emergency in order to use them. And, of course, that is what the Supreme Court basically said was, yeah, there’s no emergency. You’re just trying to use emergency powers to do what you want. But the reason he was able to do that is because of an even deeper principle that has plagued this country for quite a while. And that is the fact that the legislative branch actually did delegate those powers off to the executive. Now, this is something that the founding fathers… One, probably didn’t predict, but also there is a way to fix it, right? Because they said, no way is the legislative branch going to give away their funding powers to the executive. That’s just silly. That’s nonsensical. Why would they do that? But on the flip side, if our legislative branch does want to say, OK, maybe we shouldn’t have the executive branch have these emergency powers, they could propose a bill tomorrow that says, OK, we’re just going to get rid of that silly act that granted emergency tariff powers to the executive. So on one hand, it was both completely predictable by our founders to say, hey, if you have emergency powers, if you delegate the power of the purse to the executive, they’re going to try and use it. But then they also didn’t really expect… the the branches to delegate powers to each other which is as we were talking about during the break which is one of the reasons why we have this fourth branch of government this bureaucratic state it is the legislative branch abdicating its its authority and legislating its abdication out to an unelectable fourth branch of government And that’s something I don’t think the founders could have predicted at the time because they thought, no way in the world are the citizens going to allow their representatives to set up this bureaucratic state. That’s a monarchy. Why would they have this unelectable branch of government that can control and regulate the people? there’s no way that people are going to allow that to happen. They’re going to switch out their representatives that are going to say, get rid of this, get rid of that power. You, the legislative branch, have the power to change things. Go through the process and try and change them. Don’t abdicate your legislative authority over and delegate it out to the executive branch.
SPEAKER 06 :
So with that, we’ve got just a few minutes left. Looking at Bill Track 50, and we have set it up so that we can get key words. And the safety clause is being used and abused by this Democrat legislature and Senate on so many bills. And if you get the email from Colorado Union of Taxpayers, we have the explanation for the safety clause. And the safety clause, this is what it says, the General Assembly finds, determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety, or for appropriations for the support and maintenance of the departments of the state and state institutions. So it is supposed to be an emergency power. And these Democrats, I want to make sure people understand, this is not the Democrat Party of JFK or your grandpa and your grandma. The Democrat Party that is in control here in Colorado is radical activists that want to control your lives. So out of these… four uh let’s see over 470 plus bills or resolutions that have been uh proposed bills with the safety clause teddy collins you’re going to love this is 153 and what that means what that means is is that that it takes away the right of we the people to actually review those pieces of legislation and so comment on that alan
SPEAKER 09 :
And it’s not that it’s necessarily a bad clause. Madison warns about this. He says if one group of people is in charge of all the branches of government, you have a tyranny. You have a tyranny of a party. And that’s what we’re seeing. Because, again, our government was designed to purposely be obstructive to bad bills. It was purposely designed to not be efficient. That’s a feature of our government, not a problem. And so what we’re seeing is, especially here in Colorado, all the branches are controlled by one party. And so we are no longer seeing that checks and balance across states. different political aisles. And in fact, we’re reaping the consequences of our own actions and our own inaction as citizens of saying, we need balance. We need to restore this ability to block bills.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, and that’s why I think we’re at a point. People are paying attention. We’re out of time for our number one. So be sure and tune in for our number two. Kane’s in studio. Ben Williams, Teddy Collins, Alan Thomas. Our quote for the end of the show is from George Washington’s farewell address. And he said this. He said, one of the expedients of party to acquire influence within particular districts is to misrepresent the opinions and aims of other districts. You cannot shield yourselves too much against the jealousies and heartburnings which spring from these misrepresentations. They tend to render alien to each other those who ought to be bound together by fraternal affection. So today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you. God bless America. Stay tuned for hour number two.
SPEAKER 15 :

Indeed, let’s have a conversation. Welcome to our number two of the Kim Monson Show. Thank you so much for listening. You’re each treasured, you’re valued, you have purpose. Today’s drive for excellence, take care of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your body. My friends, we were made for this moment in history. Thank you to the team. That’s Producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike, Amanda, and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting. It’s quite a Friday, Producer Joe. Yes, ma’am. Busy, busy, busy. Check out the website on Sunday. We are rolling out something huge, and that is the Kim Monson Show Community. And for the first 250 that join at the Mount Vernon level. You will be noted as a founding patron, and it’s going to be amazing. Alan Thomas will be teaching our first class on the Federalist Papers, which will be amazing. And what we’re doing, Alan, is it’s not just talking and lecturing. This is a community where people will be able to interact with you, with me, the other instructors. It’s going to be really fantastic.
SPEAKER 09 :
It’s going to be a lot of fun.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. The other thing is, is we started talking about this three years ago. It’s taken this long, but it’s going to be amazing. So stay tuned on all that. You can email me at Kim at KimMonson.com. The text line is 720-605-0647. And as you know, we look at these issues. We search for truth and clarity by looking at the issues through this lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, it should stand on its own without force. And so we focus on the issues. Mention the people pushing the issues, but stay out of all the personality stuff that’s going on. Our word of the day and hats off to Alan Thomas. You called it, Kane. He was going to be able to. Yes, ma’am. Yes. I guess I had to try. Right.
SPEAKER 09 :
Like you guys called me out. I had to work it in somehow.
SPEAKER 06 :
the word of the day is inviolable it’s spelled i-n-v-i-o-l-a-b-l-e and it could be secure from violation or profanation impregnable to assault or trespass invincible and not susceptible of hurt wound or harm And I think Washington, I was reading his farewell address, and I have all kinds of new words of the day. What a vocabulary. And our kids, I think, have really been dumbed down with the stuff that’s happening in the classroom. So I wanted to mention that Kane is in studio. He is the founder of Task Force Freedom Northern Colorado. Ben Williams with Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. Great to have you. teddy collins with spartan defense and running for senate district colorado senate district four and of course alan thomas so the challenge is to use the word inviolable in a sentence today our quote of the day is from george washington’s farewell address he says the government that its administration in every department may be stamped with wisdom and virtue that in fine the happiness of the people of these states under the auspices of liberty may be made complete by so careful a preservation and so prudent a use of this blessing as will acquire to them the glory of recommending it to the applause, the affection, and adoption of every nation which is yet a stranger to it. As I’m reading this, I’m thinking about the State of the Union Address earlier this week. where Trump asked, basically, if you are going to prioritize the citizens of the United States over illegal immigrants, please stand. Cain, I was shocked to see that there was most of the Democrats did not stand.
SPEAKER 10 :
So I actually texted you that night, mostly because I was angry. In fact, it was a roller coaster of emotions for the entire night, from being extremely angry and disappointed with the Democrat Party to the sadness of these people that lost their lives. Like, it’s hard not to cry right now. And then also the joy of being an American. And seeing these soldiers and the Vietnam vet and the soldier, the pilot of the helicopter that basically got his leg blown off almost and was able to maneuver that Chinook helicopter to position so that the boys can handle their business. And they took out those men. guns that were that had shot at him but but it was extremely disappointing i’m not surprised at it at all because the democrat party has been demonstrating to us for decades and decades that they have zero care and concern for the american people and that was loud and clear yeah at the State of the Union, loud and clear. And I would say to my conservative brothers, tell the truth, speak the truth, and if you can talk to the left, tell them, ask them, is this what you want from your country? Is this what you want from your representatives? That’s gonna say, we’re gonna stand for illegal aliens, murderers, rapists, thieves, and we’re not gonna stand for the American people.
SPEAKER 06 :
and it goes right back here to george washington said that it is the role of government to make sure that we have the happiness of the people and i think that many of us have thought that that’s what these elected representatives are doing but that’s not been the case i was had a discussion with someone earlier this week and he said that he really considers himself more liberal in his policies that he is concerned with the administration regarding the reaction to illegal immigrants and I I said regarding illegal immigration uh if you’ve come here to hurt us you need to go If you have come here and you’re a criminal in your country of origin or you’re doing criminal acts here, you need to go. If you’ve come here because you want to live off of the American taxpayer, you’ve got to go. And if you’ve come here, even with these NGOs, under refugee resettlement or asylee, and you are defrauding the American people, you got to go. That’s going to take care of a whole bunch of this illegal immigration. And then I think we can talk about, we’ve got laws in place for people to become citizens and to assimilate to become Americans. That’s what we’ve got to get to. And Kane, we’ll let you talk about that in a little bit. I wanted to get over here to Teddy Collins. And I think this person that I was talking with who said that they’re left of center, because I agree with all that. And I think most Americans do. And so this big, broad middle of America, and here in Colorado, We have over 50% of the people in Colorado are now unaffiliated, neither Democrat nor Republican. Many of them may lean Democrat. But I think that if we get to the messaging on what is important, instead of letting these labels be defined by the radical activists, I think that’s really important, Teddy Collins.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, there’s definitely more that we agree on as a nation than we disagree on. It’s just that we’ve been so factionalized, so partisan in our messaging. It’s created division in the United States. And, you know, just to hit on what you were talking about, about immigration earlier, I recently toured the El Paso County Jail, the largest freestanding jail in the state of Colorado. and they have a large um without going into too much detail here i have to be careful but they do have illegal aliens that are serving in that jail why is that our problem as a taxpayer why are they not deported immediately well the state of colorado has prevented that from occurring so your tax dollars are going to actually keep them here in the united states and it’s something that needs to be fixed
SPEAKER 06 :
Yes, definitely. Definitely. And the state legislature is out of control. Yeah.
SPEAKER 08 :
In fact, if they report it, they could be fined personally. If they report the illegal aliens to ICE, they can actually be fined up to $100,000. Yeah.
SPEAKER 06 :
This is crazy.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s absolutely crazy.
SPEAKER 10 :
And I think… We just need to spread the news. I think most people don’t know these things are occurring. Because at some point, these illegal aliens are going to be released back into the streets.
SPEAKER 08 :
Correct. They actually had a disagreement with the state where they were not allowing ICE to even come into the Sallyport to pick these illegals up after. Because the… They can’t report it to them, but ICE can actually pull those records and then show up to arrest them right after they’re released from county jail, which, by the way, we as the taxpayers are paying for. They were actually requiring them to let them out of the facility, and then ICE was having to try to detain them in the parking lot, which was causing violent encounters and issues for security of the officers trying to do their job.
SPEAKER 06 :
And this is happening in blue cities. My understanding, Teddy, is that, and I guess Mike Johnston here in Denver just said that he’s going to try to prevent ICE from being on any public property. So what that means then is these criminals are going to be released into the community. And I was talking with someone yesterday. They said, do you think this is good?
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, who are we trying to protect here, Kim?
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, exactly. That’s the thing. Exactly. This is insane. So, Teddy, we are going to be rolling out our Kim Bunsen Show community, and it’s based on freedom of speech, to be able to kick the tires on these ideas and freedom of speech, which is in the Bill of Rights. It’s one of the first things. Washington, he’s quoted as saying, if we don’t have freedom of speech, then we will go like a dumb sheep to the slaughter. We’ve got to have freedom of speech. But the Second Amendment was put in place to protect that First Amendment.
SPEAKER 08 :
Correct. An armed society is a polite society. Without the Second Amendment, none of the other Bill of Rights exist. It’s the enforcement mechanism.
SPEAKER 06 :
And it is under attack big time here in Colorado.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yes, ma’am. Yes, we have some serious bills coming up here in the legislature. We have one that’s basically going to put about 40% of FFLs out of business in Colorado. And federal firearms licensees is what I’m referring to here. They’re the ones that facilitate your rights. Without an FFL, you cannot purchase your firearm.
SPEAKER 06 :
And so let’s just connect the dots. So we are letting criminal illegal immigrants back into the community and then taking away law abiding citizens opportunity through this thousand cuts on the Second Amendment to have a firearm to protect themselves against the illegal bad actors that are being perpetrated. put back into our communities. What’s wrong with that picture?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, there’s even more to it than that. Look, the Democrats are about to try to legalize prostitution. At the same time, they voted down a bill that would have increased criminal penalties on human sex trafficking of children and minors. I mean, what are their priorities? Who’s funding these people? We need to find that out. We need to doge this whole state as well because the corruption is rank.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay. And there is an event tomorrow night that people can, well, actually, and if you can’t make the event, contribute to the CSSA, but tell us about that.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, so tomorrow night we’re going to have our banquet, the Shots for Freedom Banquet. It’s going to be a three-course meal at the Denver Technology Center Marriott. You can go online to cssa.org to buy your ticket now. Like I said, I think we only have about 20-some-odd tickets left the last time I checked, so now is your last opportunity. Lots of guest speakers from across the state, including some of the biggest political conservatives in the state that will be speaking. We did bring Grantham out, the largest 2A YouTuber in the world, who’s going to be speaking at our event. All the proceeds will go towards our efforts for the Second Amendment here in Colorado. We are a completely volunteer board. None of us are paid. All the money goes to the fight here in the state of Colorado. We are the state affiliate for the National Rifle Association. Just to be clear, we do not take orders from them. We are completely independent, but we are the state affiliate organization. Right now, we’re suing over SB 25003. That’s the semi-automatic ban that’s going into effect in August that will require you to take close to three days of training in order to exercise your constitutional rights. We have 14 plaintiffs in which we’re suing. We’re not just doing the same old constitutional argument. We’re getting creative. We’re going to make it very difficult for a liberal judge to decide against us. We’re also suing over the excise tax, that 6.5% excise tax on top of the sales tax. that you’re having to pay anytime you go to purchase a firearm, ammo, or components to the firearm.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay, so you get to… Oh, go ahead. And all of these policies are antithetical to the Constitution. And I’ve posed this question to Alan in the past. Why can’t our sheriff step in and go, hold on, if you violate our Constitution, we’re going to remove you. And I don’t know if that needs to be a ballot initiative, but these people, they have zero interest in protecting… the individual protecting the single mom who actually wants to get a gun, but she can’t afford it because they’ve created these laws where the average person cannot afford to purchase the gun. And so when someone breaks into her home, and they mean her harm, she is going to be harmed violently when she could have that simple little equalizer that changes everything.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, it comes back to the Democrat Party is the party of elites. They don’t care about what they consider the peasantry class at the end of the day. The people this affects the most are those people, the people that need it most, the people in the inner city, the single mother, the person that’s working three shifts at a job. Those are the people that need it most. And it’s becoming unobtainium for them to be able to actually exercise their constitutional right to own a firearm and to defend themselves.
SPEAKER 10 :
And so I would encourage everyone, Democrat, Republicans, independents. It’s not a partisan issue. Have the conversation. What type of world do you want to live in? You want to live in that fantasy land that the Marxicoms, the Decepticons live in? Democrats? Democrats.
SPEAKER 08 :
I was going to say, here’s the biggest hypocrisy argument that I can make for the Democrats. Put it in their shoes. Are they afraid of the federal government? Are they afraid of Trump? Why are you disarming people from being able to defend themselves against the federal government? Not saying that that’s the case, but that’s the argument I would make.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, and I also want to make sure people understand these Democrats are not the Democrat Party of JFK or your grandpa or your grandma. These are radical activists. One other thing, there is a shooting event today as well.
SPEAKER 08 :
Correct. At Centennial Gun Club, we’re going to have the Shots for Freedom range event. It’s free to attend if you want to go out on the range and try a bunch of firearms. We have a whole bunch of vendors that are going to be there. It’s 40 bucks. Also, I’ll be doing a campaign fundraiser for the Collins for Colorado campaign. I will have fully automatic firearms available for people to use. All the proceeds will go towards the campaign.
SPEAKER 10 :
If I can defer to the intellectual there, I believe the British tried this, where they said, we’re going to take their arms from them before they invaded our country. They did.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, in Lexington and Concord, Alan, I think it was, the British knew that they had ammunition there. And so they were going to march to Lexington and Concord and take their ammunition. And so that’s what you’re also seeing with the state legislature is that they’re trying to limit our opportunity to purchase ammunition as well. And so this is… This is 250. We’re in the third founding of our country. We are. Yes, we are. These discussions happen. First of all, I want to say thank you to the Harris family for their gold sponsorship of the show. And then the Roger Mangan Insurance team can save you money. Ben Williams said $3,000. That’s a lot of money.

SPEAKER 08 :
Yes, ma’am. Happy to do it. And what’s that website? CollinsforColorado.com.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay. And Ben Williams with Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. You’ve got a great offer out there for our listeners.
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah, we’re making a set of McGuffey readers available. Mary, I got your message. I’ll follow up with you after the show. But if anybody else wants to contact me, 303-995-1636, I’d love to send out a set of the McGuffey readers to influence your children, grandchildren, our culture.
SPEAKER 06 :
And also you, if people would like a Bible.
SPEAKER 13 :
Absolutely. I’ll make as many Bibles available as people want.
SPEAKER 06 :
Thank you, Ben. We really appreciate that. And if you need help with your own personal climate to be warm in the winter, cool in the summer, give Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling a call. Cain, let’s get over here and focus on you. First thing is I was at your website. Your website’s beautiful. Thank you. It’s beautiful.
SPEAKER 10 :
We spent four years. First of all, I don’t know if you saw the website that I put together.
SPEAKER 06 :
I think I did.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes, sir, that I put together. Good information, but it was a disaster. And so we hired this company, I want to say out of Chicago, and they basically manage and we find articles and information and just send it to them and they take care of the whole thing. So it’s pretty cool. It’s a lot of information. It’s beautiful. Thank you. And what is that website? It’s taskforcefreedomnoco.com.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay. And I noticed one of the things that you had on here was about a black grandmother at the White House regarding Black History Month.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 06 :
So tell us about that.
SPEAKER 10 :
Basically, she was supporting Trump and standing up and saying, you guys stop calling him a racist. Stop calling him a bigot. He has lowered the crime rate in D.C. like 50%. Half of the black people that would have been killed, half the Negroes are alive today because of what he’s done. And in the other states where he has been able to go in with the National Guard, crime is dropping like crazy. So I ask you, why didn’t the Democrats do it? Why were they okay? And I’ve been saying this for four years, and I’ve been on your show for almost that long. 200 Negroes get killed every single week, and it has been occurring for decades. And the Negroes are killing Negroes. And so why did this orange guy who everybody hates, was he able to go in and reverse that? And so we’re not just looking at criminals killing each other. We’re talking innocent bystanders.
SPEAKER 08 :
I just want to point out illegal guns in some of the strictest gun control cities in the entire United States, like Washington, D.C. and Chicago.
SPEAKER 1 :
100. 100%.
SPEAKER 06 :
So you disarm the people, but the bad actors still have a firearm. I was just thinking about this, Cain. I’m thinking about Minneapolis and many of these millennials that are there wanting to protect illegal immigrants. Why don’t they go to the inner city and take on the gangs that are killing children in the black community?
SPEAKER 10 :
That is a great question. Why haven’t they? Why haven’t the politicians, the Ilhan and Talibs and Jeffries, why haven’t they spoken out at all about the death and destruction for decades? But yet they’ll stand up. and defend full-blown illegal alien criminals, rapists, thieves, pedophiles. Why is that? And I say to the Democrats, is that the world you want to live in? Because that’s what they want for you. Bad guys don’t go up to you and they’re going to rob you or rape your wife and go, are you a Democrat or Republican? They don’t. They go, I want your stuff. And I don’t care what your affiliation is.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, in a way, as I look at this Colorado state legislature and the fees and taxes, in another way, they’re saying, I want your stuff.
SPEAKER 1 :
100%.
SPEAKER 10 :
Everybody wants your stuff. No one’s standing up to protect and defend the American citizen. The Democrats are not. I want to explain Decepticon, if I can do this really quick. So there’s a five-year-old young man that’s the son of Alan the Intellectual. And so I love to call the Democrats pimps and perverts. It’s very descriptive. You know exactly what it is. This five-year-old genius said to his mom, Mom, I think the Democrats are like Decepticons. And I’m like, oh my, I have to step up my game. I have a five-year-old that is using terminology that is more intellectual than calling somebody a pimp. And let me read to you what a Decepticon is. A Decepticon reflects their use of trickery, manipulation, and betrayal to achieve their goals. A five-year-old… Amazing kid, Alan. Future Thomas Sowell, I’m sure. We can only hope, right?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 10 :
That’s what you raise your kids to do. So you understand. And Kim knows I’m a name caller. I know she doesn’t allow that on her show, but I’m okay with calling them names because I’ve been called many, many names, like the white face of the KKK, the black face of the KKK. These people are pure evil. If I can go back to Black History Month and the young lady that was talking about Trump, passionate, and she caught all types of heat from folks. How can you be black and support this guy? What people don’t know is Donald Trump was the only billionaire that supported Jesse Jackson. He ran twice. And if you go on the internet, you’ll find every type of picture with him hugging up on Donald Trump, Al Sharpton. In fact, you can go to our website and you’ll see maybe five or ten photos of Donald Trump with these so-called black leaders. They’re hypocrites. And if I can politely say, they’re house Negroes controlled by their slave masters. I’m a truth teller, Teddy.
SPEAKER 08 :
I’m sorry. I agree. Democrats are the party of slavery. Democrats are the party that fought against civil rights.
SPEAKER 10 :
Which was the party that filibustered for 60 hours protesting the Civil Rights Act? That’s right. It’s the Democrats. We’ve been bamboozled.
SPEAKER 08 :
We’ve been hoodwinked by these people. I mean, look at some of the quotes from LBJ and people of that nature. Look at what’s on the record. It’s disgusting, the things that they said and the way that they tried to earn, not earn, but control the vote of Republicans.
SPEAKER 10 :
And also LBJ implementing the social welfare program. Yep.
SPEAKER 06 :
What did he say about that? People, just it’s basically a new kind of slavery.
SPEAKER 10 :
I’m going to give you the quote.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, there’s a quote there. I can’t say it, but you can say it. Oh, dear.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, dear. We go to MDs, and he used a hard ER, niggers money, and they’re going to vote for Democrats for the next 200 years. That’s LBJ. LBJ is on the record saying that. 100%. Really known for using the ER word often. Sorry. Hey, Joe, did you bleep that? He said yes.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, let’s go to break.
SPEAKER 19 :

SPEAKER 06 :
I have Friday on my mind for sure. I also have Little Richies on my mind. They have the best calzones in the world. And they are located in Parker and in Golden. And in fact, in Golden, they’re right across the street from the USMC Memorial. And so when you are out there for the President’s Challenge, which is in mid-March. You can also catch some Little Richies because they’re located right across the street. But they have great calzones. They’re located in Parker and in Golden and another great sponsor of the show. And in studio with me is, he’s now being dubbed the intellectual. And that is… That is Alan Thomas. Great to have you here. Teddy Collins with Spartan Defense, and also he is running for Colorado Senate District 4. Ben Williams with Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. The McGuffey readers are spoken for, yes?
SPEAKER 13 :
Yes. Okay. Your listeners are very responsive.
SPEAKER 06 :
But if you want a Bible, you are offering that. And that number is 303-995-1636. And then Kane is in studio, founder of Task Force Freedom Northern Colorado. Your website is beautiful.
SPEAKER 10 :
Thank you. Thank you. We have amazing team members that help support that help us help support that Web site because it costs us a little money every month. But it is filled with information. If you want to hear see about the books that are in the school districts up north, just go to the Web site. You can tour and you can see the perverted, sick books that were that they are giving to children. In fact, there’s a video. You can look up Poudre School District, and it’s me addressing Poudre School District concerning a book called Gender Queer.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know what? Somebody told me that there was somebody that was arrested for going over seven seconds by addressing a school board. Did you see that?
SPEAKER 10 :
I saw that. I can’t remember where that was, but he was arrested for trespassing is what they did.
SPEAKER 06 :
Was it Trent that told me that? Okay. And so this is a citizen who is addressing elected representatives making their voice heard, and of course they are giving us time limits. He went over just a little bit. Normally they just turn the microphone off, but they arrested him.
SPEAKER 10 :
They arrested him. And that’s not the only thing they do. They violate parents’ First Amendment rights all the time. You have the right to go in and look at that board and say, I think you’re fat and I think you’re ugly. That is your First Amendment right. They cannot restrict that. And they do it all the time. You can address your so-called leaders any way you want, long as it’s not threatening. Now, I’m not advocating that you do that. I’m just simply saying, if I go in and I call you a freak and a pervert because you give kids pornographic materials, you can’t turn off my microphone. You can’t have the police escort me out. I’ve been escorted out before, and I’ve made it perfectly clear. Officer, if you touch me, we’re going to have a problem. I’m going to leave, but you put your hands on me, we’re going to have a very serious problem. So you’ve been forced to leave, though, because of what you said. Because of what I said. Because of what we disclosed with these pornographic books in these school districts. Every single school district in this state and in the country is giving kids triple X porn.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, and I heard, and we had him on the superintendent of Elizabeth schools. They were fighting these books, but what was coming at them was lawsuit, lawsuit, lawsuit, lawsuit of people that want to keep pornographic books. And what this is, this is grooming our children, going back, Teddy, to what’s happening down at the state house, that you said this piece of legislation died, again, for people that didn’t hear that. So explain that again.
SPEAKER 08 :
So there was a piece of legislation, Senator Mark Baisley is running for federal Senate against Hickenlooper right now. I think he’s our best choice, by the way. He introduced 055. 055 would have created a registry of teachers who committed serious misconduct, whether it be sexual misconduct against students or physical misconduct against students. That bill died in committee. Every Democrat, including Tom Sullivan, one of the worst offenders on that committee specifically, died. voted against it. And there was only one person who testified in opposition, and that was the teacher union lobbyist.
SPEAKER 06 :
So mentioning Tom Sullivan, his son was killed, I think, in the Aurora shooting. And so he does all these gun control bills because he says he wants to protect children or to protect people. But in essence, when it comes down to protecting children, he voted no.
SPEAKER 08 :
Correct. And not even only in this instance. Another thing that he voted against last year was a bill that would have created civil liability for businesses that restricted carry. The theater his son was killed in restricted carry. It was not the closest theater to the shooter’s home, nor was it the only theater. But it was the only theater that restricted law-abiding citizens from carrying with a license that night. And as a result, there was no one armed in that theater. He shot that bill down, even though parents of victimized parents actually did sue the theater corporation over this and lost because state law was protecting the theaters.
SPEAKER 06 :
So then let’s connect this dot over here to these books. Kane is you put these books in the schools and kids cannot unsee. You sent some of the images over to me and I I could hardly look at them. So you put these images in front of children. There’s and once you see these things, you cannot unsee them.
SPEAKER 10 :
And so what happens is when children are sexualized at a young age, they become hypersexual as young adults, teenagers, hypersexual. This bill about prostitution, this is not just a happenstance. There is a diabolical plan that these monsters have for our young kids. A diabolical plan. Okay, so we’re going to hyper-sexualize these children. They’re going to more than likely at some point, not all of them, some of them are going to venture into the sex trade. It’s grooming. Yes, 100%. Oh, and then the next thing they’re going to do here, like California, they’re going to decriminalize prostitution. Now, when I say decriminalize, in California… It’s a felony if you have, they call it statutory rape. It’s a felony if they’re under 16. If they’re 16 to 18 or before 18, it’s a misdemeanor. You might spend a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. You are still devastated. You have devastated this child. Why is that? Why are we as citizens okay with these tyrants doing this to us?
SPEAKER 08 :
And which lobby is paying for this? Follow the money. At the end of the day, who’s lobbying these bills?
SPEAKER 09 :
It’s insanity. And Alan? It’s also the natural outcome of their ideas. And when you believe that your ideas are inviolable, this is the natural outgrowth of it. When you believe that the experts know more than the parents, then you say, okay, we’re going to hand our children over to the experts. That’s progressivism. And what happens when the experts then have these terrible ideas? Well, you can no longer come back and say, wait a minute, maybe we shouldn’t give the experts everything. You’ve already agreed to that. So this is just a natural outgrowth of just bad ideas, just compounding themselves over and over. When you trust the expert, you give away your rights. When you believe in your moral superiority of your ideas to the point to where you can’t ever challenge them, you’re going to have these Democrats standing up for their ideas. Even as we have cannon fodder in blue city after blue city shooting each other, we have cannon fodder of, uh, Kids who are just losing their intellectual capabilities and have nothing to stand on because they’ve given up themselves to this religion of progressivism. And it started in our government schools. Because we trusted the experts, because we gave up, because we said, hey, we want to try something new. We want to try something. And instead of being self-reliant and virtuous in teaching our kids, we gave them over to the schools. So to me, it’s less a conspiracy. It’s just the natural outgrowth of terrible ideas and terrible policy.
SPEAKER 06 :
But Alan, the founders really thought education was important.
SPEAKER 09 :
And necessary.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yes. And so we’ve had so many things that have been hijacked. Our schools, our churches, our media, all of this has been hijacked while we have been I would say lazy because we’ve been enjoying all of these benefits of this great American idea. And I’ve said, are we living on the fumes of freedom right now? But I think people are stepping forward. Teddy Collins.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah. I was also going to say, as far as our schools are concerned, one of the biggest problems we have in schools is schools teach children to be drones, not to be free thinkers and nonconformist. And that’s a huge issue.
SPEAKER 06 :
When I see this stuff, when I was on city council, they said, we need to educate for the workforce. I’m like, no, no, no, no, no. No. No, we need to educate. Entrepreneurs. Yeah, they need to have the tools to read and write and do arithmetic and think critically.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, I was going to say, you see this in some other countries, and other countries have seen that this is an issue. So, in a lot of countries, you see that people go to high school, for example, for freshman and sophomore year. But junior and senior year, if they’re going to go through the college and academic path, then yes, they stay on that path. But if not, they go to a trade school, and they learn to trade because it’s teaching someone to fish versus giving them a fish. That’s something we don’t do well enough in America. We need more trade programs, especially in high schools, and we need to give kids alternatives to to just going to college because not everybody’s cut out for college. They don’t want to go get their gender study degree or their liberal arts degree. Well, I don’t want to pay for that either. Exactly, exactly. But you know what? Trade school, on the other hand, let’s create competition out there. Let’s bring down the cost of living and affordability by creating more tradesmen. And we have to remember, this started a long time ago.
SPEAKER 10 :
I remember Hillary Clinton decades ago saying in a public forum, these are our children. Yeah.
SPEAKER 06 :
And that’s why Ben, with Ben’s plumbing, heating, and cooling, I know that during COVID, people might not have needed to talk to a gender studies expert, but man, if something was going on with plumbing or heating, you were busy, right?
SPEAKER 13 :
I was very busy. But you know what? In this conversation, we as the American people have just been happy, like you said, Kim, living on the fumes of freedom, just enjoying our life, taking kids to soccer and whatnot. We have got to be involved. We’ve got to be salt and light in our community. And if we don’t. get on the offensive instead of sitting on the defensive, our foundations just continue to be chipped away. So we’ve got to be involved. And, you know, thank you to the listeners who’ve contacted me about the McGuffey readers. Guys, you can go out there and purchase those. And I would just encourage people, get those into the hands of… You know, of young kids, families that will read those and implement those ideas.
SPEAKER 06 :
This battle of ideas. And we are really going on the offense here beginning on Sunday. So stay tuned on that. I did want to mention the USMC Memorial Foundation. I love supporting them. And you can make a contribution for the president, Paula Sorrell’s 77th birthday. Why don’t you just go over there and donate?
SPEAKER 1 :
$77.
SPEAKER 06 :
That website’s usmcmemorialfoundation.org. And all these happen because of our sponsors. And one of our great sponsors is Bins Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling.
SPEAKER 11 :
There was a time in America when a man’s handshake cemented his word. At Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling, we are old school and believe in doing a job well. If there is ever an issue with the service that we have provided, we will make it right. SPEAKER 06 :
OK, we’ve been talking about George Washington during his birthday month of February, and I had talked about his farewell address. I have some of his quotes as the beginning of the show quote and also for the end. I think that what I will do is I think I blew through and didn’t give his quote from the farewell address this hour. So that’s what I’m going to do. He said government. that its administration in every department may be stamped with wisdom and virtue, that in fine the happiness of the people of these states, under the auspices of liberty, may be made complete by so careful a preservation and so prudent a use of this blessing, as will acquire to them the glory of recommending it to the applause, the affection, and adoption of every nation which is yet a stranger to it. And we’ve got a full house, and the only person that’s missing is Molly Lamar, but she is on the line. Molly Lamar, welcome to the show. Good morning, Kim. How are you? I am well, and we’ve been talking about education, and you have been keeping us up to speed on what is happening with the Cherry Creek School District, which it used to be the district that people really wanted to make sure their kids were in that district. But there’s stuff going on. What’s the update for this week?
SPEAKER 18 :
Well, so we’re having the, you know, our superintendent has resigned. We have some positive news in that our board of education is requiring that Chris Smith resign. repay one month of his salary back to us as they’re negotiating the contract with his resignation. The negative part about that is that really what he owes us is three months. He was supposed to give us a three month notice before he resigned and instead resigned abruptly because of the corruption. And I believe he thought that he would escape investigation if he got out the door quickly. But really, we should be holding him accountable for. to the terms of his contracts our teachers have to live up to their contracts every day and there shouldn’t be a different standard for the superintendent especially when he has left us in such crisis the other update i have that is really quite sad is that the colorado department of education has found the cherry creek school district guilty of not protecting our most vulnerable learners. We have 11 students who are deaf and hard of hearing that did not receive services for three months under Tony Poole, who is the assistant superintendent who is on administrative leave right now because of COVID. this exact reason and fiscal mismanagement and corruption. And so, Now, here we are again in the news. The Denver Post has come out with an article about it. I sat in my car yesterday reading the complaint, you know, and I’m a former teacher and I cried. I cannot imagine sending my child to school who has an impairment and they sit at a desk crying. for three months and do not receive services. I mean, these poor children, they couldn’t hear. So they aren’t receiving the lesson. And papers were just put in front of them. I imagine that the teachers were really struggling. You have a classroom of 25 students and one of them can’t hear and you are I don’t you don’t have anyone to help. So that’s a huge failure on the part of the district.
SPEAKER 06 :
And here we are again in the news. Yeah. Going back to the superintendent, Chris Smith, he resigned. But is he going to be receiving a cushy pension?
SPEAKER 18 :
Oh my goodness. We are paying him $165,000 for his sick and leave and vacation time that he had left. There’s a letter that came from two principals, one from Grandview High School and one from Eagle Crest High School, where they put in this letter how often he is out um sick you know reports of him being sick not showing up to work there’s even a report that one day he showed up drunk at school that one of the security guards could smell alcohol on him to pay this In my opinion, we should not be paying him a single dime. He owes us. It’s tragic.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, this just came in on the text line, Molly. It says, Molly for superintendent. That’s cute. Thank you. Molly, thank you for keeping us up to date on this. The education of our children is so important. And so we’ll talk with you next week with your update. We are working to reclaim our state. We’re working to reclaim our children. And so, Molly Lamar, thank you so much.
SPEAKER 18 :
Thank you, Kim. Before we pop off, I just really want to say I’m so grateful for you and that you’re in the fight for our kids. There’s nothing more important, so thank you.
SPEAKER 10 :
Hey, Molly, if I can add this. I had a parent reach out to me yesterday. I don’t know, six months ago, and apparently her Caucasian son used the N-word because his black friends were calling each other the N-word, and he was suspended. And so that was a mom that reached out to him, and I told her, you need to lawyer up and sue them. We have these inalienable rights. We should be treated the same. And he was discriminated against. And those same black kids still use the N-word every day, all day. But this poor little white kid received punishment. This is not right.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s not. No. Not at all. And Molly, I thank you. You ran for State Department. State Board of Education. Yeah, Board of Education. And thank you. So I’m really encouraged. We are… We’re at a time where we have so many people that are stepping forward. Something amazing is going to happen. In fact, I was talking with someone yesterday. Did you ever watch the movie The Incredibles, Molly? Yes. I love the movie and where the superhero dad is going to get in the car and the little neighbor kid that’s been on the tricycle is in the driveway. And he looks at the little kid and he says, so what are you waiting for? He goes, I don’t know. Something amazing. And something amazing is happening here in Colorado. So, Molly Lamar, thank you so much. Thank you. Have a great weekend. Absolutely. Ben, Ben Williams with Ben’s Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. How can people reach you? 303-995-1636. And Teddy Collins with Spartan Defense and also running for Colorado Senate District 4. What’s the best way for people to reach you?
SPEAKER 08 :
They can reach out to me by email, through social media, or through the campaign. I’ve got my number up there for people that need to reach me. And that website? CollinsforColorado.com. And anybody that liked what I had to say today and wants to support my candidacy, donate $17.76 to my campaign.
SPEAKER 06 :
Gosh, that’s an important number. Yes. Kane?
SPEAKER 10 :
It’s always great. Yes, ma’am. And I would encourage people to let them know that there should not be a Black History Month. Black history is American history. And so you can go to YouTube and check out Morgan Freeman’s interview with Mike Wallace, and he talks about this very issue.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay. And Alan Thomas, we’ll be rolling out your article next week because we’re rolling out the Kim Monson Show Community this week. Which will be how you’ll be able to contact me here soon. Absolutely. We’re going to have a whole page of all your stuff. It’s going to be awesome. And so our quote for the end of the show is from George Washington’s farewell address. And he said, one of the expedients of party to acquire influence within particular districts is to misrepresent the opinions and aims of other districts. You cannot shield yourselves too much against the jealousies and heartburnings which spring from these misrepresentations. They tend to render alien to each other, those who ought to be bound together by fraternal affection. So my friends today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. You are not alone. God bless you, and God bless America.
