From President Trump’s powerful address regarding the ongoing conflict with Iran to the widespread protests marking No Kings Day, we explore the varied reactions and implications. Learn about the controversial decisions made by judges and hear strong opinions about accountability from political leaders, including a notable statement from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
SPEAKER 06 :
Welcome to the Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review podcast for Friday, April 3rd, 2026. Good Friday. I’m glad you could be with us. This week, protesters came out for the No Kings Day, a judge makes a deadly mistake, and history was made at the Supreme Court. We start with the Commander-in-Chief updating folks about the war in Iran. Here’s President Trump last night at the White House. Look, uncharacteristically brief, 19-minute speech. I don’t think he veered off the teleprompter one time. And his message to Iran, well, it was a pretty powerful one.
SPEAKER 01 :
This is a true investment in your children and your grandchildren’s future. The whole world is watching and they can’t leave the power, strength and brilliance. They just can’t believe what they’re seeing. They leave it to your imagination, but they can’t believe what they’re seeing. The brilliance of the United States. military. Tonight, every American can look forward to a day when we are finally free from the wickedness of Iranian aggression and the specter of nuclear black belt. Because of the actions we have taken, we are on the cusp of ending Iran’s sinister threat to America. and the world and i’ll tell you the world is watching and when we do when it’s all over the united states will be safer stronger more prosperous and greater than it has ever been before may god bless the men and women of the united states armed forces and may god bless the united states of america thank you very much and good night that’s president trump last night at the white house
SPEAKER 06 :
This past Saturday saw No Kings marches around the country. We support free speech, but what exactly was achieved at the protest? You know, we come back to this No Kings thing, and I’m intrigued by this on many levels. The parents and the sister and the grandparents of Sheridan Gorman laid this young woman to rest on Saturday, the No Kings Day, ironically. And while… Her loved ones and friends and family gathered to mourn her brief but impactful life. The city of Chicago hosted a vigil, too. The collective temper tantrum, as Julie Kelly put it, over President Donald Trump. Thousands gathered throughout the city and suburbs to participate in the very well-funded No Kings rallies. I guess the other one five months ago didn’t really take. I guess it didn’t stick. And the mayor of Chicago was asked about the crime problem, particularly involving illegal immigration. And he had some words of sympathy and compassion, but not for Sheridan Gorman. As a matter of fact, I don’t think he’s mentioned her name one time. Check out what this lunatic mayor of Chicago said involving who we should be worried about in Chicago.
SPEAKER 05 :
It’s straightforward. We have to end the assaults against working people. We have to end the assaults against immigrants and end these endless wars. The immigrants.
SPEAKER 06 :
We have to end the assaults against immigrants. Oh my gosh. Are you kidding me? Are you serious? This can’t be real. These folks are not authentic. Brandon Johnson knows what happened in his city on his watch. I mean, and their city and state officials, instead of honoring this 18-year-old Loyola University Chicago student, they’re expressing sympathy for the immigrants. Everything feels upside down. Everything just feels topsy-turvy. I saw Senator Ron Johnson… And look, I’ve got a different view of this no king stuff than a lot of people have. I think it’s fine. Go take to the streets. Why didn’t we do this after COVID? I wonder why Americans didn’t take to the streets to protest the tyrannical, oppressive, kings-like behavior of our government officials. You know, where you had to have a card in order to get into a restaurant? You weren’t allowed to walk the beach, even go out in the middle of the ocean on your paddleboard. That was pretty Kings-like behavior, huh? But there’s nothing wrong with protest, as long as it’s not violent. When it’s violent, it crosses the line, and laws are broken. But Senator Ron Johnson, who’s a very blunt person, Plain-spoken senator from Wisconsin was on Sunday Morning Futures on Fox News Channel with Maria Bartiromo. And he had, I thought, a really good analysis of the No Kings Day on Saturday.
SPEAKER 04 :
Here’s what he said. With that 60-volt threshold, Democrats, this is a hill they will die on. Because any kind of election integrity really is existential to their game plan of turning America into a one-party nation. They flooded this country with millions of illegal immigrants, put them in sanctuary cities to plus up their numbers. But here’s what they even more deviously. They trained activists to obstruct justice. Encourage them to put themselves in harm’s way, knowing they could get harmed. They got two martyrs and then they’re using those martyrs as their excuse to try and defund law enforcement, to defund the very agencies that are designed to clean up the mess they created. That’s what we’re dealing with. That’s who Democrats are.
SPEAKER 06 :
I often wonder if Alex Preddy and Renee Good weren’t. killed in the Minneapolis violence, violence that was created incidentally by the protesters, not by law enforcement, if they hadn’t been killed, do you think that would have taken the wind out of their sails? Would there have been fewer No Kings protesters? In fact, I ask this question every time there’s a No Kings protest, and so maybe you can answer it for me. I’ll try again. Just what was accomplished Saturday? Again, I’m not complaining. I’m not objecting. You want to march around on a Saturday afternoon and say no kings? Do that to your heart’s content. This is America. Because if we truly had kings, you wouldn’t be allowed to do that. But that’s okay if you’re funded by one of these activist organizations. And Fox News Digital came up with a revelation that a lot of these left-wing activist groups worth billions of dollars were responsible for many of the protests that took place around the country. Okay, they get to do that. That’s fine. This is America. But what exactly was achieved? We finally found one post on X that really nailed the whole no kings movement. It was perfect. Let’s talk about what it means to have a no kings protest. And I found this from somebody called Ava Grace over on X. And I love these clips. I really appreciate getting to share common sense Americans who just want to post something on social media. And this young woman took a camera. flipped the button and delivered this message to her ex-followers that I thought really nails it, really hits it out of the park. Check this out.
SPEAKER 03 :
No Kings. Unless it was during the pandemic when all the mom and pop businesses were shut down, but the government said it was totally fine for all the major super rich corporations to continue operating. But I didn’t really care because as long as I could get my Starbies and go to Target, I was fine. No Kings. Except during the pandemic when we told people that they would lose their job unless they took a certain medical product or they couldn’t even go into certain restaurants without vaccine paperwork. That was crazy. But I didn’t really care because I just complied. No, Kings, remember when we also told people that they had to not visit their loved ones? that were sick and dying in the hospital, the elderly, they had to die alone. That was really sad. We shut down the schools, completely wrecked the developmental learning for a whole generation. I mean, that was tragic, but we don’t really talk about that because that’s over now. New outrage, no kings. Remember when we were told over and over if we got that medical product, we for sure would not get sick. And even though the people that got it immediately did get sick, we were for sure told they wouldn’t spread it. And then that gradually became, well, like 95%, like 75%. Okay, there’s no evidence it does what we told everyone it does, but we’ve already made everyone take it that would anyway. And no one really cared because it’s new outrage time. No kings. And do you remember during that time, anyone who tried to bring attention to these issues on social media was censored or their account was banned? And limiting free speech at that time seemed okay to me. I didn’t really think about it. No kings. You don’t hate authoritarianism. You just hate what you’re told to hate by the algorithm and the news outlets. Be so for real. I just wish the anti-authoritarian energy was present during actual tyranny from both the federal and local governments during that time. But no, of course not. And it’s not authoritarianism if the majority of the people voted for it. both popular vote and electoral votes, people wanted the border secure. So settle down, settle down and start thinking for yourself. Turn off the TikTok. It’s going to be okay.
SPEAKER 06 :
I love that message. She’s right. Calm down. Just settle down. It’s going to be okay. The border is still secure. Meanwhile, the mayor of Providence, Rhode Island, announced that the city would remove a mural in memory of murder victim Irina Zarutska from a public space because, well, it didn’t reflect the city’s values. Sometimes we have no words. The mayor of the capital city of Rhode Island is demanding that a mural honoring Irina Zarutska, the young Ukrainian woman whose brutal murder while riding a North Carolina train, raised a real, real spotlight on these crazy, crazed criminals who get arrested a gazillion times and then get let out only to kill again. They’re taking the mural down. The mayor, Brett Smiley, says it doesn’t reflect our values. Now, I want you to let this sink in for a moment. Let me just tell you where we are right now. Let me give you a state of America on March 31, 2026. There were George Floyd murals anywhere you turned. Still are. I guarantee you, you drive through Minneapolis, you’ll see a George Floyd mural everywhere you go. murals, statues, tributes. So in Providence, Rhode Island, they put up a mural honoring the life of this young Ukrainian woman who was brutally stabbed to death, her throat slit by a monster on a North Carolina train. The mayor of Providence, Rhode Island, says, take it down. It doesn’t reflect our values. The office of the mayor told WJAR-TV the murder of the individual depicted in this mural, they couldn’t even say her name, as you notice. I’m reading their statement. The murder of the individual depicted in this mural was a devastating tragedy, but the misguided, isolating intent of those funding murals, like the one across the county, is divisive and does not represent Providence. You see, you know what the problem here is? Elon Musk helped fund the mural. When Elon Musk learned of the effort to memorialize young Irina Zerutskaya, Musk said he would donate a million dollars. I guess the mayor of Providence is so offended by Elon Musk that he is demanding that the mural be taken down. the true story man oh man portions of our show brought to you by my pillow get to tell you every day about the my pillow text line i love your feedback on the text line i love hearing from you on the text line mike lindell and his my pillow employees want to thank you for supporting them the way you have they’re bringing back the mega sale i almost want to call it the maga sale But it’s the mega sale, classic MyPillow, normally $49.98. This is the Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis wants to impeach a circuit court judge after she released a convicted child rapist while he awaited sentencing. Why don’t we impeach a judge? that lets a convicted child rapist go free only to rape and kill again. I am in such a spirit of gratitude today. I am so grateful to live in a state where I’ve got a governor like this guy, Governor Ron DeSantis, who this case of this Leon County judge… And this is very interesting. This is why I was a little confused about who the judges are. The judge in D.C. is named Richard Leon, or Leon. The judge in Florida is a Leon County judge, Tiffany Baker Carper. But now you just stop and consider this for a moment. A guy gets convicted of raping a little child. What judge wouldn’t want to keep that person behind bars? Convicted of raping a child. Prosecutor said, okay, keep him in jail until sentencing. We don’t want this guy to go free. Leon County Judge Tiffany Baker Carper says, nope, we’re going to let him go free until he gets sentenced. While he’s out on bail, he rapes and murders a five-year-old child. Now, you tell me how that judge doesn’t get immediately fired, impeached right now. That’s what Governor Ron DeSantis wants to know.
SPEAKER 07 :
I appreciate the legislature for passing this, but I will just say to my friends in the Florida House of Representatives, I don’t think what you’ve done is enough. You have the power and you have sufficient numbers in your chamber to impeach this judge Tiffany Baker. Until you start holding these judges accountable, they are going to continue to find ways to benefit the criminal element. This was an outrage. This was such an easy call to make sure that this guy was put behind bars. And this judge refused to do it knowing the risks. And the result has obviously been a tragedy. So Florida Constitution vests the House of Representatives with the ability to bring an impeachment against a circuit judge with two-thirds majority. You know, last time I checked, we’ve got way more than two-thirds of Republicans. Honestly, I think some Democrats would vote to impeach given what happened in this case.
SPEAKER 06 :
Isn’t he right? Could you possibly disagree with anything you just heard Governor DeSantis say? Could you possibly disagree with anything you heard Scott Jennings say? What are you going to do now with an empty hole in the ground? These judges have got to be impeached. We have got to start removing these judges. As best I can tell, this hasn’t happened one time. And as DeSantis pointed out, here in Florida, Republicans have the majority. They can get it done. The House of Representatives in the state of Florida absolutely has the authority to impeach this despicable judge. who thought that the rights of a convicted pedophile, a child rapist, trumped the rights of the little five-year-old girl who he murdered while out on bail. And forget the humanity part of it. I don’t even know how this judge looks in a mirror at night, how she sleeps at night, what it must be like for her to know that because of her ridiculousness, her progressivism, her social justice, a little five-year-old girl is in the ground. A five-year-old was raped and tortured and murdered. And of course that five-year-old’s blood is on the hands of this judge. Of course the judge should be impeached. We reached out to the Florida Attorney General, James Uthmeyer, about this horrible story. He joined us on the show to talk all about it. Let’s welcome back to the Mike Gallagher Show the 39th Attorney General for the state of Florida, Attorney General James Uthmeyer. Mr. Attorney General, welcome back to the show. How are you, sir?
SPEAKER 08 :
I’m doing very well. It’s good to be back. Thanks for having me.
SPEAKER 06 :
No, you bet. And I appreciate your leadership on this and the governor because people can’t believe it around the country when we’re talking about this guy who was literally a convicted child rapist and this judge defied the prosecutor’s demands to keep him behind bars. And as I understand it, while out on bail… He raped and murdered a five-year-old child. And Governor DeSantis, and you are saying, look, this woman needs to be impeached. My audience is saying she ought to be prosecuted. Can you walk us through what led to Missy’s law and your reaction to this Judge Tiffany Baker Carper?
SPEAKER 08 :
Sure. Well, it’s a shame we had to pass a law in the first place to address this issue. In Florida law, you know, judges do have discretion when it comes to bail pending sentencing. So here you have a case where a guy He is convicted by a jury for attempting to have sex with a minor, a child. After that conviction, while he’s waiting sentencing, this judge, over the objection of the state attorney, releases him on his own recognizance. And during that period, he murders, he suffocates a five-year-old girl, who, by the way, he was being investigated for molesting her. So this young child this death did not need to happen it only happened because of the judge i mean the blood is on her hands here for abusing her discretion and she needs to be held accountable so we have impeachment procedures in our constitution similar to the federal government you know you don’t see people impeached and removed from office uh we need to we need to start doing this this is a perfect example of somebody that abused the office and there’s a death as a result
SPEAKER 06 :
I keep hearing from callers to my show and people all over America who echo what you just said. We don’t see impeachment proceedings against these judges. Certainly on the national level, we’ve got rogue judges that are trying to block the Trump agenda. They’re single-handedly trying to make illegals legal citizens, like this judge ruled yesterday. We’ve got judges trying to block him from building the ballroom And in Florida, as Governor DeSantis pointed out, you’ve got the ability in the House of Representatives and the state to impeach a judge like this. Why in the world hasn’t it happened yet? What’s the reluctance from these legislators to do the right thing here?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, here in Florida, we have supermajority Republican chambers on the House and Senate side, both. But they’re not DeSantis Republicans. They haven’t even been able to get a budget done this year, which was supposed to be done over a month ago. It’s the only thing required of them every year in our Constitution to pass a balanced budget. So they need to get it together. I think the public needs to outcry and demand of them to do really what should be simple here. And you hit the nail on the head, Mike. Judges across the country, they’re abusing their power. They’re not following the law. They’re saying what they want the law to be. They’re issuing nationwide injunctions, trying to push their own desires on the American people. uh going beyond legal bounds and it’s wrong you know alexander hamilton in the federalist papers he said the judiciary was supposed to be the weakest branch it’s supposed to be the branch that interprets the law but it’s up to the other branches to effectuate those judicial orders the reason the judicial branch is so powerful is because we the people have allowed it to be powerful we’ve just taken everything they They say as gospel, but when a judge exceeds jurisdictional bounds, when they step out of their lane, that’s not an order that we have to follow. And I think it’s for leaders like me and others to fight back.
SPEAKER 06 :
There have been a number of special elections over the last few months. Oddly enough, Democrats won almost all of them just by hundreds of votes. I’m seeing stories that just jump out at me, and I wonder why nobody else is talking about it. You know, Senator Mike Lee has been on a one-man crusade, it seems, to get the Save America Act passed. Election integrity, to me, is the most pressing issue we face. I believe that the entire future of our constitutional republic depends on securing our elections safely, legitimately. Do you remember when Biden won in 2020 and the smart kids kept saying there’s been no evidence of widespread election fraud? And like the little kid watching the emperor in the parade with no clothes, I would put my hand up and I’d say kind of meekly, you don’t need widespread election fraud in order to steal an election. You just need a little bit of fraud. So I’m reading about a special election that took place in Tampa, Florida last night. This was a victory for yet another Democrat, a fellow by the name of Brian Nathan. Now, according to Axios Tampa Bay, The State Division of Elections certified last night Democrat Brian Nathan’s narrow victory in the special election for Tampa’s Senate District 14. The odds were not particularly in Nathan’s favor, even though the seat had a history of changing hands. To win, the Democrat… had to overcome a massive fundraising disadvantage and a voter registration deficit of over 22,000. And because Republicans eclipsed Democrats in turnout, he had to lure independents. But in the end, Axios reports, Nathan won by 405 votes. Here we go again. where thousands of people show up to vote, and magically, by just a few hundred votes, the Democrat wins again. A stunning upset crows Axios Tampa Bay. This is a seat that Republicans had won by 10 points in 2022. Hmm. What do you say? How about that? A stunning upset. This guy was drowning in a fundraising disadvantage. He was losing in voter registration. There were more Republicans than Democrats. And yet in the end, presto, he won by 405 votes. Have you noticed how all of these special elections… it seems, in Georgia, in Texas, all over the country, where the Democrat upsets the Republican, it’s always by a handful of votes. Going back to my reminder, you don’t need widespread election fraud to cheat. You just need a little bit. You just need a little bit of fraud. Am I crazy here? We’re going to bring Roger P. Shulman, our newsman, into this conversation a little bit later this hour because I want Roger to break down this special election for Tampa’s Senate District 14. I don’t see anybody pointing this out. And finally, the Supreme Court has a standing invitation for the President of the United States to attend their proceedings. In 250 years, not one commander-in-chief has ever taken them up on it. Not until now. President Donald Trump has become the first sitting president to attend oral arguments at the nation’s highest court. He is attending today’s Supreme Court hearing on birthright citizenship. I want you to hear… A reaction from a Democrat from Nevada, a congresswoman. I want you to hear what Nevada Congresswoman Susie Lee posted on social media as she reposted the announcement that President Trump is attending today’s Supreme Court hearing. I’m sitting here thinking how great that is, how important it is. Again, the Supreme Court historically has a chair. reserved for the president so that anytime he wants to attend a Supreme Court hearing, he can. It’s so enriched in our government and Capitol’s history that there’s a chair reserved for him. No president has ever done it. He says, you know what? Birthright citizenship is so important, I must. I’m coming. Got in the beast. They fired up the motorcade. And off he goes to the Supreme Court. Are you ready for what Nevada Congresswoman Susie Lee posted on social media? On X? I’m not kidding you. I’m going to obviously have to say F instead of the F word. She wrote, so effing effed up. I’ll pray they F him to his face. Sorry, I say F a lot these days. That’s a United States Congresswoman representing Nevada. That’s an actual Congresswoman from the 3rd Congressional District of the state of Nevada. Democrat Susie Lee. She reposts the Associated Press breaking news how President Trump is now the first sitting president to attend oral arguments. And she posted, so effing effed up. By the way, she doesn’t say eff in the post, as you can imagine. So effing effed up, I’ll pray they eff him to his face. Sorry, I say eff a lot these days. Well, if I were a crude, crass, nasty person, I’d say to Susie Lee, go F yourself. But I wouldn’t do that. I’m way much better than that. I’m above board. I would never go into the gutter like that. I would not even. If I were a really rotten person, I’d tell her to stick it where the sun don’t shine, and I’d tell her to go F herself. But I cannot talk that way. It’s not how I talk. Everybody around here knows I talk like an angel. I’m like Mother Teresa around here. I say golly and gosh and darn. Gee whiz. And that wraps up the Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review podcast for Friday, April the 3rd. Good Friday. Happy Easter. Thanks for joining us. SPEAKER 02 :
We’ll be right back. It was an account that’s been around since 1888, and over the last 25 years, it’s averaged 29% a year. That’s what happens when your money is allowed to compound. Compare that to today’s savings accounts, paying less than half a percent while inflation quietly eats away at your buying power. Buffett understood early. Banks are great businesses, just not for savers. If you’d like to see what some investors call the 29% account, go now to secretaccount29.com. That’s secretaccount29.com.
