IDF Launches Largest Coordinated Strike on Hezbollah Since Start of War

JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – Israel intensified its campaign against Hezbollah on Wednesday, launching what officials described as the largest coordinated wave of strikes since the beginning of “Operation Roaring Lion,” targeting roughly 100 terror sites across Lebanon in just 10 minutes.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, the precision operation struck key Hezbollah headquarters, command-and-control centers, and military infrastructure in Beirut, the Beqaa Valley, and Southern Lebanon. The targets included intelligence hubs used to plan attacks against Israeli civilians and troops, as well as assets tied to Hezbollah’s rocket forces, naval units, the elite Radwan Force, and its Aerial Unit 127.

The IDF said the strikes were the result of weeks of coordinated planning between its Operations Directorate, Intelligence Directorate, Air Force, and Northern Command, aimed at significantly degrading Iran’s proxy network in Lebanon.

Israeli officials emphasized that many of the targeted sites were deliberately embedded within civilian areas, accusing Hezbollah of using the Lebanese population as human shields. The military added that steps were taken in advance to minimize civilian casualties.

Defense Minister Israel Katz described the operation as a “surprise attack” that struck hundreds of terrorists, calling it the most concentrated blow against Hezbollah since the 2024 “Pager Operation,” which severely wounded thousands of operatives.

Katz praised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for maintaining a strategic distinction between Iran and Lebanon, a policy he said is intended to reshape the security reality in the north and eliminate threats against Israeli communities.

He issued a stern warning to Hezbollah leadership, specifically referencing Secretary-General Naim Qassem, stating that Israel would not tolerate ongoing aggression and that further consequences were inevitable.

The escalation comes despite a ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran, which Netanyahu clarified does not apply to Lebanon. Israeli leadership has remained firm that Hezbollah’s continued attacks nullify any expectation of restraint.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir confirmed that operations are ongoing and part of a broader effort to dismantle Hezbollah’s capabilities while establishing a forward defensive posture to protect Israeli border communities.

Since Hezbollah entered the conflict in support of Iran in early March, the IDF reports it has struck more than 3,500 targets and eliminated over 1,000 operatives. The Iranian-backed group escalated its attacks following the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, launching rockets and drones into Israeli territory.

Israel maintains that its campaign is a necessary response to Hezbollah’s repeated violations of prior ceasefire agreements and its growing military entrenchment along the northern border.

This latest operation underscores a decisive shift in Israel’s posture since the October 7 attacks, with leaders vowing that the nation will no longer tolerate persistent threats against its citizens.
