The opening hour of Rush to Reason sets the tone with immediate reaction to the weekend’s attempted attack on President Donald Trump—and the conversation quickly moves beyond the event itself.
John Rush examines not just what happened, but how leaders, media, and the public responded in the aftermath. The focus centers on accountability, consistency, and the broader cultural divide shaping those reactions.
A key part of the discussion highlights:
Whether political leaders are responding clearly—or cautiously
How public figures frame violence and responsibility
The role of media narratives in shaping perception
Why consistency in condemning violence matters
The hour also includes practical conversation with Cub Creek
SPEAKER 13 :
This is Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 06 :
You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
SPEAKER 04 :
With your host, John Rush.
SPEAKER 11 :
My advice to you is to do what your parents did. Get a job done. You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same and there’s a big difference.
SPEAKER 07 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You felt it your entire life. That there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 06 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
SPEAKER 13 :
It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush, presented by Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, welcome. Monday edition, Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Start things off, Hunter, Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning. How are you, sir?
SPEAKER 03 :
Doing well, John. How are you?
SPEAKER 12 :
I am good. The weather is, I don’t know, let’s just say it’s hot, then it’s cold, then it’s hot, then it’s cold. In your business, it’s got to be like crazy.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, I’m not sure what season we’re in anymore, but we’ll take it as it comes.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, it doesn’t know either. Now, one thing I wanted to focus on is, let’s face it, getting things done, any larger repairs, and in some cases even just getting some normal things done on a system can get rather expensive. You guys, though, have the ability, depending upon the nature of the repair and or replacement, you guys can help fund that, correct?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, that’s absolutely true. We have things that we can help with as far as financing goes or anything like that. But really, honestly, some of the biggest things to avoid some of those bigger, costly repairs is just having your routine maintenance done. Stay on top of those filters and then we do offer service plans as well where we can come out and maintenance your furnace and AC once a year or twice a year, once for the furnace and once for the AC. And that really can reduce a lot of those big expensive repairs so that you don’t get hit with those.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, as we enter into the AC end of things, and this is where, again, I know it’s not always a have to. You know, air conditioning, unlike a furnace, I grew up without air conditioning, so you can’t go without. But it is really nice to have, and when you have it, you want it functioning. When it’s not working, it stinks. At the end of the day, everybody wants it to work. That’s another area where you guys can help in regards to even the financing of things there as well, right?
SPEAKER 03 :
Absolutely. If you’re thinking about doing air conditioning, we do offer financing for that so we can add it on. And then as far as if you do have AC right now and just want us to take a look at it, make sure that you’re ready for the summer and make sure that we avoid those future expenses. Because it’ll come one of these days, we’ll get that hot stretch and everybody will be turning on their AC at the same time. So really, it’s best to get ahead of that. And with us having this nice weather today,
SPEAKER 12 :
on certain days earlier it’s you can get it done earlier so then when those hot june july months come in here you’re ahead of the game and you’re ready to go good point okay one thing we’ve talked about in the past and now it’s time to talk about it again is the whole heat pump end of things as well where there’s and this is where you have to tell me are there still some rebates and some things along those lines that make that worthwhile looking at as far as an upgrade go giving you sort of a dual source of heat in the winter time what are your thoughts there
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, so there are actually more rebates and stuff available for heat pumps. They have heat pump rebate. Colorado has, XL has its heat pump rebates, as well as a bunch of the other energy providers. The only one that I’m not sure is up on that is Core Electric. they’ve been all over the place kind of but the rest of them offer some sort of rebate for that as well as there is state funded rebates if you qualify for those as well um that you can get into the heat pump thing is nice you can get that kind of dual fuel setup and that’s the way i would recommend i wouldn’t go fully electric by any means um but that dual fuel setup is a good is a good happy medium because you do get the highest efficiency out of each system. And that goes for cooling as well. With a lot of these newer heat pumps, they’re inverter driven, they have higher technology. they’re way more efficient. So the benefit of getting that heat pump is you do get that increased efficiency where in the past it didn’t make a ton of sense to spend a ton of money on an air conditioner to upgrade your air conditioner because let’s face it, most years it runs two to three months out of the year and then you shut her down. So you were never recouping your savings. Now the heat pump side of things really changes that kind of changes the game as far as that goes. Because now instead of using that AC three or four months out of the year when it switches over to heat pump, now we’re using it probably the majority of the year. So you are, those increased efficiencies
SPEAKER 12 :
are are beneficial and with the rebates and stuff included in that it’s it’s really actually minimal um to jump up in price to do that okay and again you guys have the ability to offer some financing and again but i’m not going to get into details folks that’s something call hunter on he can walk you through that but i know you have a variety of options when it comes to that hunter
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, we do. We offer multiple financing. We do have terms as far as 0% up to two years if you need that. And we have a bunch of different options as well. We can help you out however you need.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. Best way to get a hold of you?
SPEAKER 03 :
Either book us. I know you can go online and book us at www.cubcreekhvac.com or give us a call at 303-590-4871.
SPEAKER 12 :
Hunter, as always, I appreciate always a wealth of information, and the weather will finally decide what it’s going to do at some point.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, well, and if it stays the same, that’s all right, too. I just hope we get some moisture.
SPEAKER 12 :
There you go. Hunter, I appreciate it. Have a great rest of your day, sir.
SPEAKER 03 :
You too.
SPEAKER 12 :
Thanks, John. I’ll do it. You’re very welcome, Hunter. Appreciate it. And yeah, for all of you listening, anything you need when it comes to your HVAC, look no further than Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning. All right, question of the day. Friday, what famous nuclear disaster occurred on April 26th of 1986? That, of course, was Chernobyl. And then today’s impossible question, what treaty ended the 80 years war? So if you’re somebody that’s been in sales before or you’re looking to make a change or you’re just looking for a job in general, we need some experienced sales reps. SPEAKER 04 :
God. Country. Reason. Now back to John Rush.
SPEAKER 12 :
OK, we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. And yes, I saw what happened over the weekend in regards to the attempted assassination of Donald Trump at the D.C. gala. And I also saw Donald Trump. This is something that, of course, the left isn’t talking much about. I’ll get into what they are talking about in a moment. But, you know, to his credit, he came out and basically said, hey, you know what? If we had our Trump, you know, White House ballroom addition done, this would have been a non-issue, never would have happened. And his point is, this is why we need that on site at the White House and stop all of this monkeying around with going other places to do the things that we do on a routine basis anyways. And by the way, he’s correct. And he did what the left does. He didn’t let a crisis go to waste. He actually reiterated why we’re expanding the White House and the ballroom and doing the things necessary to really make that a secure, safe place, which he’ll probably never use, but future presidencies will. And unfortunately, going back now to the other side, unfortunately, we have a left in this country that is unhinged. And those of you that are on the left, you cannot deny that. Let me ask you guys that are on the left this. How many attempts against Joe Biden was there from our side? How many attempts, assassination attempts like this where, you know, I get it. There’s all sorts of attempts that the Secret Service and others may, you know, bury and most people don’t know about and they investigate different things. And so I understand all that. But actual attempts where there’s actual bullets flying. How many? Solid conservatives, not wackadoodles that we would disown, but actual solid conservatives were there attacking Joe Biden. And by the way, those of you that are on the left, here’s your answer. Zero. Zero. And before those of you on the left say, well, we’re not claiming this guy either. Oh, he’s yours. He is a teacher. He is one of yours through and through. He has eaten, drank, and everything on your side, everything it has to offer, he has ingested all of it and has lapped it up and is now dishing it back out because that’s what you do. That’s what the left does. And I know, I’ve got lefty listeners, and it’s interesting. You lefty listeners always have something to say until it’s this. And then it’s crickets. I don’t hear a thing from you on the text line. You never call in because none of you have enough guts to do so. And those of you that do text periodically, you’ll never text over something. I won’t hear a word from you on something like this. Now, I will say this. If this had been one of ours that had done this, would you chime in and text in at that point in time or even call in? You absolutely would. It just shows you what a bunch of hypocrites and just downright scoundrels you guys on the left are. And I’ll get into Jimmy Kimmel and some of that in a moment as well. But you guys on the left, man alive. I would not be proud of my party if I was somebody on the left. Let’s just say that. I would not be proud. In fact, I don’t know how you can be on the left and stay in it. Knowing how vile and deceitful and hypocritical and judgmental and hateful and racist you all are. And the majority of you have TDS on top of that. Trump derangement syndrome, if you don’t know what TDS is. I don’t get it. I mean, I understand that Donald Trump rubs some people the wrong way. He does me at times. I’ve talked about that on air. But I mean, I don’t care how bad even Joe Biden rubbed me the wrong way. I never once said or thought that he should be eliminated from this earth because of that. And by the way, our side doesn’t think that way. We don’t look… In fact, sometimes that’s to our discredit because we don’t see the other side the way you see us. We don’t approach life like you do. Despite what you might think, our side doesn’t have the hatred your side has. Now… I can explain, and I can do this fairly quickly, why your side has hatred and our side doesn’t. And I get it. I’m generalizing here. I understand there are individuals and or maybe even pockets inside of each group that this doesn’t apply to. But overall, the overarching thing that’s going on here, the theme that’s going on is good versus evil. And yes, your side is evil. You prove it day in and day out by your actions. This is a great example of it. And I’m not saying everybody on our side is good. But what I’m saying is the theme of what one side believes versus what the other side believes is good versus evil. And it is. And your side is evil. Period. Look at your policies. Look at what you want. Look at how you act, behave, the hatred. Just the things that you do. The things that you say and speak. The vile nonsense like what Jimmy Kimmel spews out. Just look at what you guys talk about. And then tell me that it’s not good versus evil, because it is. Through and through. And Jimmy Kimmel, I mean, I’ll just say it straight up. What an absolute Neanderthal moron that guy is. I don’t know why anybody ever would watch him unless you’re just such a hardcore lefty, you don’t have anything better to do. But what an absolute vile, worthless individual. Literally. The things that he came out and said prior to this event happening is the reason why your side does what it does. He is literally, in my opinion, I could be wrong on this, but in my opinion, he is your mouthpiece. He is literally saying what all of you think. And how can I prove that? Because here’s the other thing. Jimmy Kimmel’s not the brightest guy out there. He doesn’t write his monologues. He has writers to do those. In fact, Charlie, last time I checked, I don’t know what it is now because of some of the layoffs and so on. But at one time, didn’t he have like 100 writers or some ridiculous thing that was working there? Okay, so 40. Sorry, 40 writers.
SPEAKER 1 :
40.
SPEAKER 12 :
40 writers to write jokes. That, by the way, with AI, you should be able to do with four, not 40. So even with 40 rioters, or let me rephrase it. With 40 rioters, this is the garbage that Jimmy Kimmel spews, meaning this is what your side thinks. Collectively, that’s what your side thinks. And I watched, there was like a… I want to say like a 15 or 20 minute monologue that he did all about Donald Trump and how awful he is. And I listened to literally about half of it and I couldn’t stomach any more of it because the guy is such an absolute moron. I just couldn’t do it. I’m sorry, guys. I normally can make myself, you know, listen to things and watch things and just sort of push it off to the side and not worry about it. I couldn’t with Jimmy Kimmel. The guy is just such an absolute idiot. I couldn’t listen to him. And partly because I know he’s just delivering lines that somebody else wrote. But he’s reading it. He’s participating. Whether he wrote them or not doesn’t make any difference. He’s delivering them. At that point, it doesn’t matter who wrote them. They’re coming out of his mouth. At that point, he’s approved it. He’s saying it. He’s wanting you to laugh at it, which I didn’t find anything he said to be laughable at all. And, of course, the audience is laughing because it’s full of a bunch of Marxist, leftist, evil individuals. Oh, and yeah, thank you, Charlie. They have signs that even tell you when to laugh and not laugh that they hold up. You guys have seen some of those behind the scenes when, you know, there’s documentaries or movies or whatever about, you know, those types of shows. So they tell you when to laugh, not laugh and all that. When to ooh, when to ah, when to laugh and so on. They literally, you know, hold up cards that tell you what to do. Maybe it’s not cards anymore. Maybe it’s all digitized. But regardless, they’re telling the audience what to do. But those of you that are on the left, and this is what bothers me. If the roles were reversed, and Joe Biden was still in office, and one of ours had come out and done something like what happened, I believe it was Saturday night, would I come on air Monday morning, or Monday evening like it is right now, criticizing and condemning what that particular individual did? Of course I would. But what does your side do? Your side has the audacity to come out and say, oh, this was all set up by Trump and the Republicans in the first place. They just did this to basically make Trump look better. His poll numbers are so bad, they needed something to help him out. That’s literally, basically, you guys are claiming this was all staged. That’s what your side does. Instead of coming out and condemning the individual that did this, your side comes out and says, oh, it was just all staged. I mean, how demented and mentally ill is your side? And I’m asking a serious question. How mentally ill is your side to believe that, to even mention that? Again, as I said, we have a president right now that I get it. Not everybody likes. I don’t always like what he does either. I appreciate what he does as a president of the United States. I think he does a lot of things that no other president would ever do and has proven that over and over and over again. Does he do and say things I would? Of course not. I’m not him. He’s not me. Does that give anybody out there the right to murder him, to assassinate him? No. In fact, I would go as far as to say, and our side would say, it never gives anybody the right to assassinate another person. Period. Period. Period. I just can’t believe how triggered your side really is, how triggered the left is over Donald Trump himself to the point that you guys think this is an okay thing to do. There’s a bar out there. I think it’s in my notes here. Make sure I get this correctly. There is a bar… Let me find this. That essentially is… Giving out free beer if Trump gets assassinated. Wisconsin Brewery. It’s in Wisconsin. It’s a taproom known for promising free beer when President Donald Trump dies. And it is now, of course, drawing renewed scrutiny for posting on Facebook, we almost got hashtag free beer day. Now, again, you’ve got to be mentally ill, sick and twisted to even post something like that. And yes, I will go as far as to say, gladly, our side doesn’t do this. We business owners that are on our side, we would never think of doing anything close to that. And by the way, here’s the biggest reason why, again, why I say good versus evil. We value life. It’s why we’re against abortion. It’s why we do things on an ongoing basis to make sure people live and not die. It’s why we believe in lifting people up and not pushing them down. It’s why we hate Section 8 housing and all sorts of other government programs that literally push people down and doesn’t lift them up. I had a big argument on the text line about that the other day where somebody thinks Section 8 housing and the help that we give those individuals is really a great thing. Nothing could be further from the truth. All it does is push those people down. It doesn’t help them out at all. It’s probably one of the biggest detriments to them you could ever offer them. It’s why we don’t like it. Yeah, thank you, Charlie. It encourages them to earn less money because otherwise they lose Section 8 housing. If you start earning too much money, you lose Section 8. So it encourages them to not make more money. It’s a discouragement. Again, it’s not a hand up. It’s a push down. And again, folks, this is fundamentally, I cannot stress this enough, it’s fundamentally the difference between our side versus the other side. Right versus left. There is a vast difference between those two. And I’ll go back to what I said last week, which I had arguments on the text line about. You cannot call yourself a Christian and be on the left. You can’t. It doesn’t work that way. Case in point, what happened over the weekend and those people that are in favor of what happened. How could you tie yourself to a party that approves of what happened over the weekend and or pushes it off and says that it’s just the right staging it? Again, how could you hitch your wagon to such a demented bunch of mentally ill individuals in your entire life? How is a Christian could you do that? And I’m asking a serious question because I can’t wrap my head around that. That one makes no sense to me. Call yourself a Christian, but hit your wagon to those lunatics. And yes, I am calling them exactly what they are, lunatics. Mentally ill lunatics. Because no one does what happened over the weekend not being that. And those of you that are on the left, if you want to respond, be my guest. You can’t, you won’t, because you have no ammunition to go against what I’m saying. SPEAKER 04 :
The best export we have is common sense. You’re listening to Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 12 :
All right, and we’ve got a guest that we’re trying to get on with us, and any time there’s an event like what we had happen Saturday night, some of our guests can shift around, rightfully so, which we totally understand, and we’ll do our best to get our next guest. If we don’t, we’ll continue on like we always do. I’ll rebook, and off we go. Now, from the text line. By the way, as most of you would have guessed, crickets from the left. And yes, I know I’ve got listeners that are on the left, and I guarantee you, given what happened over the weekend, they are listening as we speak. That one, I’d bet my life on. Guaranteed they’re listening. Are they chiming in? No. No, of course not. And by the way, not that I expected them to chime in, because what do they have to say? What’s there to say after what happened Saturday night? Nothing. They have nothing to say. I mean, anything they say can and will be used against them. And I will. And they know that. That’s why they’re not going to chime in. Because there’s nothing, unless they’re condemning the actions of their own, there’s nothing else to say. And here’s the thing, though. They won’t. They won’t do that. That’s my whole point with the left is they won’t condemn what we will. I mean, guys, I’ve even condemned Donald Trump when he does things he shouldn’t do. The left doesn’t do that. You know, the nut job Jimmy Kimmel’s that are out there, they won’t do that. That guy, by the way, just take him off air. What a moron. What an absolute moron. I don’t know how anybody can listen to that guy. I can’t stand him. I couldn’t stand him prior to all of this happening. I really can’t stand him now. What an absolute idiot. But all of the text messages coming in today on the text line, thank you, by the way, for all your support. You guys are all talking about basically thanking me for calling good good and evil evil and the left is evil and they are proven by what happened over the weekend. Proven. One more thing, by the way, not just the act itself, but the response the left had to what happened Saturday night shows they’re evil. Rather than coming out and just condemning what they did, we even have folks like President Obama who says, we don’t really know what his motives were. Really? Really? There was a whole manifesto saying what he was going to do, President Obama. You’re not that dumb, by the way. Well, maybe he is. He had a lot of handlers that made him look really smart, by the way. He of all, and I don’t think I’m wrong in saying this, he of all presidents said, And I don’t think this is much of a stretch. He was probably one of the dumber presidents that we had, and I’m not saying that because of his skin color or anything along those lines. He just wasn’t that bright. He was a good orator. He could deliver a really great speech. But the reason I know he wasn’t super bright… is anytime he was off teleprompter, that guy couldn’t stop saying, uh, uh, oh, uh, uh, uh, uh. And by the way, that’s a sign of an intelligent person or not. He could not stop himself from doing that. Now, as somebody that’s on air on a daily basis, is that a hard habit to break? Yes, it is. Every now and again, I’ll catch myself at different times saying, interjecting the word that I hate, which is uh, but it doesn’t happen very often. If it did, Charlie would be on me because it’s terrible to be in public speaking this arena that I’m in right now and do that. You’re better off with a pause than you are an uh or an ah. President Obama did it constantly when he didn’t have a teleprompter in front of him. Again, to me, saying wasn’t real bright. The brains behind that operation was Valerie Jarrett, by the way. Still is. She is still very close to the family. And I guarantee you, still has a lot to do with where the Obamas go, what they do, who they talk to. On and on we go. She was the brains behind that operation. Not Barack Obama. Not Michelle Obama. And I’m sorry to say, they’re just not that bright. We’ve had other not bright presidents. Joe Biden, by the way. Bright, his problem is, I believe the majority of his presidency, his dementia, Alzheimer’s, you know, setting in. And some would say, well, Johnny’s never been diagnosed with that. Folks, I was around my father for a long enough time to know what Joe Biden has. I could see it in what he was doing on a regular basis to tell you exactly what he had. Has. Not had, but has. No, they won’t admit it, because if they do, there’s probably some legal implications as to what even got done when he was in his presidency. So, of course, they’re not going to say that. That’s a cover-up. Again, going back to what I was talking about with the left, the good versus evil, another indication of how evil they are. They will actually cover up an elderly man’s illness to save their neck. It’s called elder abuse, by the way. Those of you that are on the left, it’s called elder abuse, and that’s what you do. So I’m not saying that Obama’s dumb, again, because of his skin color. He just wasn’t a bright man. He still isn’t because of what he just said about this particular shooter. Just not bright. John, go ahead.
SPEAKER 16 :
Hey, John, they’re going right. This what’s going on right now is right out of Saul Linsky’s book. You know, attack, attack, attack. don’t don’t admit any guilt it’s what they do and as for valerie jarrett that is an evil person yes it is yes it is and you are correct quote from online and it was this uh i believe it was a preacher and he said satan can’t attack god because god would destroy him so he does the next worst thing he can do and it’s abortion because it’s attacking babies good point and and that’s what they were saying but i mean just looking at this everything and i am so proud of x because they had so much information hours before anybody else.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, they did. They did. I was watching it. It was funny. I was actually watching the game that night, Nuggets game, and was with some friends and so on, and Richard, my son, because he’s always on X, he sends me what was going on, and I’m like, oh, watch. Here, guys, read this. And literally, John, that was 15 minutes prior to anything coming up on, you know, interrupting the newscast and so on for the game to actually show what was happening there. That’s how fast it came out on that end.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, I got an alert on my phone about it from X. And it was like, right away, they had more stuff. And then by yesterday morning, before even church, they had… everything about that guy, who he is, what he was, what he did. And what I’m saying is, in the past, They always are able to shut down the social media sites on these wackos before… Yeah, good point.
SPEAKER 12 :
You know what I mean? Yeah, no, you’re right. I’m glad you brought that up. I hadn’t really thought much about that, mainly because we’ve been so blessed to have Elon owning X, and we haven’t had some of those issues you just mentioned for quite some time. Honestly, John, thanks for bringing it up. It didn’t even cross my mind.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, and did you see that other guy that ran for…
SPEAKER 12 :
um state senate i did i did that there there is perfect sense oh the guy should have better aim um yeah and for those of you that don’t know yeah this is somebody running for office right now currently sitting senator i believe to your point john really uh condoning what had happened and basically saying too bad it didn’t you know too bad it didn’t come to fruition i’m paraphrasing john that’s basically what the guy said yeah yeah that’s who he did he was uh not a nice guy and you know who um
SPEAKER 16 :
Joe has talked about him, Nick Freitas.
SPEAKER 12 :
Oh, yeah, Fuentes, Fuentes.
SPEAKER 16 :
I don’t know if it was yesterday or an older one, but he had a great quote where he said, the left’s got to stop going after guns and maybe start going after personal responsibility. And then the other thing he said in one of his other memes was, if the reason the left wants your guns is is because they’re afraid the right’s going to do what the left does.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, you know what, that’s true. That’s a fairly true statement. I don’t think that there’s anything… By the way, nothing wrong with that statement. That’s really true, because I think that’s correct. The biggest reason that they want to take ours away is because they’re fearful we’ll do what they do.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, you know, and who has most of the guns in their possession, ownership, legally owned, is… Right. Correct. Correct.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, again, John, as I said, and I’ve gotten several comments, positive comments on this, that if you look at what the left not only did in this particular case, because I believe they take individuals like this and incite them to do this in the first place. So they’re inciting it. On top of it, they in a way somewhat celebrate it, i.e. the post by this particular senator that’s running for re-election. And then on top of that, they’ll go as far as to say, oh, we didn’t do that. That was staged from the right.
SPEAKER 16 :
Oh, yeah. Well, there was a great clip on the young lady on the radio right before you. You know, I’m talking about her daily blog. She had two and a half solid minutes. of the left calling for violence that she downloaded off of Twitter. But they say they never called for violence.
SPEAKER 12 :
John, they call for it on a daily basis. And what I mean by that is even those of you that are on the left, you guys call for it subliminally by the fact you hate life. You’re for euthanasia. You’re for abortion. You’re for mutilation of kids when it comes to the transgender end of things. I mean, John, I can go down the list that shows they don’t value life.
SPEAKER 16 :
No, they don’t, and they don’t value anything but themselves.
SPEAKER 12 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 16 :
And how much power they can get. That’s right. Not what they can do for their fellow man. We have a community meal after service on every Sunday at our church, and this was the main topic of conversation of how evil it is. that what’s going on and how do we fight it? But, you know.
SPEAKER 12 :
It’s hard. I mean, and to that question, how do we fight it? The very things that we’re doing right now as we speak, getting the word out, calling evil what evil is. And I’m at a point, John, where we have to be nice. I get it. We want to try to get along with the other side or you’ll never be able to speak to them. But this business of pussyfooting around them and worrying about hurting their feelings and are they going to speak to you again even as a family member, that garbage has to end. You’ve got to call evil evil. It is what it is.
SPEAKER 16 :
Charlie was the prime example of that. He debated everybody. No questions asked. Whoever, he would just sit down and debate because he said that was what keeps us from getting violent, and violence silenced them.
SPEAKER 12 :
Correct. Now, when I say we need to call evil evil and debate them like you’re saying, I’m not saying we do that in a mean-spirited way and that we’re nasty. No. You know me, John. I would never, ever say that. Yes, things need to be done in a very honoring, respectful way, but we’ve got to continue to call evil evil. It’s that simple.
SPEAKER 16 :
And until we start doing that on a larger basis, and a prime example of that is the Pope went after Trump, but I don’t remember him calling out the evil in Nigeria when they killed all those Christians.
SPEAKER 12 :
Great point. Great point, John. John, maybe you’re into this more than I am because of your faith, and maybe I missed it, but did the Pope, did he condemn what happened over the weekend?
SPEAKER 16 :
I didn’t see it yet. I’m not Catholic anymore, but I didn’t see it either.
SPEAKER 12 :
Again, you’re on Twitter, you’re up. I mean, I would think that that would be major public news had he done so, John, and I didn’t see a word.
SPEAKER 16 :
And I didn’t either. But the other thing was interesting is Saturday evening, I flipped on… More than anything, see the weather, and there was actual… She spent… 45 seconds on the White House story, and then it was on to the next one.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, not a big deal. Yep.
SPEAKER 16 :

Now back to Rush to Reason on KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 12 :
All right, I have a lefty texting in saying that President Obama did, in fact, condemn the shooter. But let me read to you exactly what he said because I don’t see it as a direct condemnation. In fact, I’ll pick this apart and tell you what he said right and what he said was wrong. Quote, and this, by the way, is put out on social media. There wasn’t like a press conference or anything along those lines. This was just stuck out on social media, which means Valerie Jarrett probably wrote it, not Barack Obama. But anyways. It’s incumbent upon all of us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. Okay, I’ll agree with that, but the only thing I don’t agree with there is we don’t have a democracy. The left always wants to use that word, but we don’t have one, nor do we want one. We have a republic. So, again, he’s wrong, or whoever wrote this for him is wrong. And he went on to say, by the way, that Make sure I find this correct here. People are saying it was a direct condemnation of the political violence following the shooting incident. He never individually called this person out and said what a despicable human being he is for trying to assassinate the president of the United States, which, by the way, he should have. He is being very kid-glove-ish. in regards to this particular topic, saying what he needed to say to make sure that he saves face as a previous president. But he should have literally come out and said, you know what? Not only is there no place for this in our country, in our republic, but anyone that would ever think of killing, assassinating a sitting president, I condemn that action. This is wrong. It should never happen. And please, for the love of God, would people on our side stop doing this? That’s what he should have said. But he doesn’t have the you-know-whats to do that. Well, let me say it this way. He’s always been a mouthpiece for someone else. Somebody else is telling him what to say, going back to my comments earlier. So he’s just really regurgitating what somebody else told him to put out. In fact, I guarantee you he didn’t write this post, nor did he put it out. And you know what? Shame on him. Shame on him. I didn’t see any other high-profile Democrats. And again, I didn’t scour the Internet to see if anybody else had said anything. And there was enough that were coming from high-profile Democrats like this one running for re-election saying what they said. But I didn’t see anybody else coming out and condemning What happened Saturday night? I didn’t see an announcement, by the way, from a Chuck Schumer and the likes of those individuals. I didn’t see any of that come out over the weekend. If I missed it, I’m sorry. You guys can send me what they said, but I didn’t see any of them publicly condemning what this particular individual did Saturday night. I didn’t see the Biden, you know, the previous administration. I didn’t see them post anything or put anything out publicly along these lines. Again, if they did and I missed it, I’m sorry, but I sure didn’t see anything. And if it was put out, it was pretty quiet in how it was done. So we always condemn violence, by the way. And this is where I look at this and say, man, what a really soft way of saying what went on Saturday night was wrong. Why not just come out and say it that way? Again, folks, I’m sorry. I don’t look at that as a condemnation of what happened Saturday night. Mark in Commerce City, go ahead.
SPEAKER 15 :
Hi, John. First of all, I appreciate all that you’re saying. And, you know, anybody that endorses it or puts out a meme of thumbs up with somebody else endorsed it, they’re not only complicit… But they are encouraging their violent behavior.
SPEAKER 12 :
I agree. They’re condoning it.
SPEAKER 15 :
And they are the problem.
SPEAKER 12 :
You’re exactly right, Mark, 100%. They are condoning it.
SPEAKER 15 :
God bless you, John.
SPEAKER 12 :
Mark, I appreciate it. Thank you for the great words of encouragement. Sometimes you can feel like the Lone Ranger sitting in this chair. All of you, I will say, make it not feel that way. You make me feel very supported in times like this because the left is going to try to do everything possible to sweep this under the rug. And I’m kind of getting that in the text line, by the way, from the lefties, which I’ll give you credit. A lefty actually did comment. Thank you. I didn’t think any of you would. Now, what you’re commenting, you’re still off base on and you still should be condemning your previous president for not condemning this because he didn’t condemn it. Not in the way it should be. This would be what I would call a very soft condemnation of what happened Saturday night. A very politically savvy thing to say. He didn’t flat out come out and say, you know what, there’s no place for this anywhere in the world, period, especially in this country. This shouldn’t be happening. And I’m really disappointed that it’s happening from our side over and over again. It should not be happening. You know what? Our side needs to straighten up and not do this any longer. That’s what President Obama should have said. Shame on him for not. Prime opportunity to call his side out and tell them to stop this nonsense, because this isn’t the first time this has happened. But he didn’t do it. He didn’t do it. So those of you that are on the left that think he said the right thing and that he condemned it, no, he didn’t. No, he missed a grand opportunity to actually condemn it, and he didn’t. He soft-pedaled it is what he did. He soft-pedaled it. And if you’re somebody on the left thinking that he’s cool because of what he did, you, like what Mark just said, are part of the problem. You are the problem. Because you’re not looking at it correctly. And I would really wonder, how condemning are you of all of this? Or were you somewhat in the back of your mind thinking, geez, man, why can’t they just hit their target? Literally. And by the way, if there’s any of you out there listening on the left that thought that, shame on you. Shame on you. And I’m not saying that my listeners on the left thought that, but what I’m saying is if you did, if that thought even crossed your mind for a moment, shame on you. Because here’s the thing. My mind never thinks that way. Ever. Ever. Ever. If we would have had any kind of an attempt on Joe Biden’s life, that would not have been my first response at all. And did I like Joe Biden? You know, actually, I like Joe Biden. I think there was elder abuse there. He shouldn’t have even been in the position that he was in. He was placed there as a figurehead and he never should have been in the first place. I really feel sorry for the guy. And I’ve said that publicly numerous times. I really feel sorry for Joe Biden because he was used and abused by his own party. Now, is the Biden family very powerful, and did they want that to happen, and did his folks that were around him, his family and so on, want that? Sure, they absolutely did. It’s still elder abuse at the end of the day because he never should have been in the position. You could see from almost day one he had issues going on. Again, I watched my father go through the exact same things, and I can tell you right now that’s what Joe Biden has. I don’t have to be a doctor to prove that, folks. You can do it by observation. Not that hard to figure out. So, again, those of you that are on the left, you can say that Obama condemned this, but I wouldn’t go as far as to say that. I’m not looking at it that way. He soft-pedaled this thing big time to make sure he could save face with his own party. That’s exactly what previous, you know, former President Obama did. Paul Lundberger coming up next. Make sure you’re dialed in when it comes to your insurance needs across the board. Home, auto, Paul can do it all, 303-662-0789.

SPEAKER 12 :
Back to Rush to Reason. And I appreciate the great text messages coming in. Numerous more of you, you know, commenting on what I’m saying, agreeing with what I’m saying, agreeing with my statement on the Pope. And yet, you know, he’s the first one to call out President Trump on something that he doesn’t like. But yet he won’t condemn this shooter over the weekend. And he should have made that a public announcement. Shame on him. Just like I said, shame on President Obama. I mean, these are people that are soft peddling a very large issue inside of the Marxist party called the Democrat Party. But they don’t like life. They hate life. We’re a scourge on the earth. We shouldn’t be here. We should all just go away anyways. So at the end of the day, why would I expect any less from them? I mean, the way they behave is exactly what I expect. They hit the mark every single time because it’s who they are at their core. We’ll be back. Hour number two is next. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 06 :
