Collusion in the Global Alliance for Responsible Media Hearing

I just finished watching the House Judiciary’s hearing on Collusion in the Global Alliance for Responsible Media, and boy are my ears tired.  This is what it looks like to lose our Republic to a Socialist/Marxist agenda.

I know our audience, and I’m sure there aren’t many of you who would say that you’re a master of all things digital.  That being said, I don’t think anyone in their right mind can say that conservative opinions aren’t silenced online.  And that shows a big part of the problem: a lot of us (myself included) don’t even understand how it works; we just know that 90% of what we’re seen is progressive garbage.

And that was basically what the Judiciary met today for.  Jim Jordan, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, welcomed the following witnesses:

Ben Shapiro – Political commentator; co-founder, The Daily Wire – testimony

Ben Shapiro, Daily Wire

Herrish Patel – President, Unilever USA – testimony

Herrish Patel, Unilever

Christian Juhl – Global Chief Executive Officer, GroupM – testimony

Christian Juhl, GroupM CEO

Spencer Waller – Justice John Paul Stevens Chair in Competition Law, Loyola University Chicago School of Law – testimony

Spencer Waller, Director of the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies, Loyola University

The hearing was essentially to see if advertising companies equate to a cartel that controls the access to information globally.   “Collusion in the Global Alliance for Responsible Media,” will was supposed to examine whether existing civil and criminal penalties and current antitrust law enforcement efforts are sufficient to deter anticompetitive collusion in online advertising.

GARM are the guys who SHOULD be able to explain why any given news feed is 90% liberal progressive nonsense, although they had a difficult time today.  Even when asked directly what conservative outlets are NOT blacklisted from their advertising, the only one that Christian could produce was Fox Sports…not a great start.

It didn’t help at all that the leftist advertisers were being evasive, and as expected the lawmakers on the left were unfocused.  Most of them yelled about Project 2025 or displayed their TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME in full regalia.  The ones who made semi-salient points were obviously being deceptive.

Here’s an exchange between Chairman Jordan and Christian Juhl that both explains a little more for context, and also shows the general outlandish tone of the entire day:

The whole day was filled with this basic conversation.  And it goes something like this:

Republican Senator: “It’s clear to literally everyone that you’re throttling and burying conservative voices”

Juhl: “Nuh uh. Stop hating the free market”

It wouldn’t be fair of me to not include a progressive Democrat’s exchange, either.  Only I really can’t because it was mostly just making excuses for the dotard in office, crying about Project 2025, or crying about Donald J Trump.

Here’s what it mostly sounded like:

Eric Swalwell: “Mr Shapiro, isn’t it true that you believe that being gay is a sin?”

Ben Shapiro: “Well, I’m a JEW, so yeah…but what does that have to do with anything?”

Seriously, that’s pretty close to Senate Fang-Fang lover Eric Swalwell’s interaction, here it is though.  It’s a thing of beauty:

Don’t forget, this was a hearing about GARM and the liberal agenda to push down conservative content.  And Swalwell was not the first or last senator to bring up Project 2025.  If you’re not familiar with Project 2025, and its fictitious ties to Donald J Trump click here to learn about it.

President Trump has repeatedly denied any connection to the Heritage Foundation document, but that doesn’t stop 6 separate senators from bringing it up.

This one was my favorite, I don’t think this guy from GA, Hank Johnson even knows where he is:

I guess a “sham hearing” deserves an equally sham answer!  You’ll notice that nowhere in the video did he ask Ben Shapiro any questions, only the two big tech advertising guys and the liberal Loyola professor…who are all very clearly on his side.

But that’s the Democrat/Autocrat style here in the year of our Lord 2024: projection and gaslighting from prominent members of the elitist liberal and consultant class.

These senators all know that it’s stacked in their favor, and they enjoy every minute of it.  As long as they can convince their voters to stuff ballots and feign the moral high ground, they’re winning, and this is all a game to Liberal Democrats.  Well, to tons of politicians on both sides.

Mostly liberals though.

Thankfully, the illustrious Ben Shapiro was there with a blistering opening statement and add some common sense and lots of sarcasm.  Here’s what that looked like:

So those were the finer points, I watched it start to finish throughout a day as I had time, and it was a pretty wild ride 😎

You probably don’t want to watch a 4-hour Judiciary Committee hearing, but not all of us can be as cool as The Fonz.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Full Hearing (3Hr, 57min😳)

What were your big takeaways from the hearing?  Anything you agree/disagree with?  Lots, I’m sure so comment down below and give us your take.
