Because it’s not Health and Wellness Wednesday where we talk medical things. But as a physician, I like talking about medical things, but I can also talk politics. So that’s what we’re going to do is a little bit of both. So for those of you who are just getting in your cars, heading for home, please be safe. I have three guests here in the studio. I have Jack. Jack is a 17-year-old high school student who is one of my employees who is a world-class power lifter who lost 50 pounds from the time he was 14 years old because he was eating junk food. And in the first and second hours, we talked about highly processed foods and how damaging it is. We have Tam John here who is a – what are you again?

But during the break, Tam and I went on this rant about President Trump and his nominees. And do we think so and so is going to get appointed? And we decided, you know what, he better just go full throated, shove it down their throats and say, you know what? This is my second term. You guys hamstring me during my first one. You said Obama appointed how many people on a recess appointment?

So we have people who are highly qualified. It saddens me to see Charlie just told us during the break that Matt Gaetz withdrew his name from the nomination. And that just sickens me what the swamp is trying to do. Our representatives are undermining our duly elected president who had a mandate both in electoral college and the total vote. So I think it’s time to take off the gloves and just lay waste to the whole system. So I hope he goes nuclear on them. That’s my opinion. May not be John’s or this Radio stations, but that’s my opinion. And since John’s not here, I’ve got the microphone. I’m going to say it. So there you go. All right, let’s get back to some medical things. So for those who are just getting in your car, again, we were talking about ultra-processed foods, yellow dye number five, how that was a byproduct that John D. Rockefeller had when he was creating gasoline. It’s a byproduct of Coke, right? The coal? That’s where this garbage comes from. He was looking for a way to offload it and started putting it in food. And then we started giving it to our kids.
SPEAKER 05 :
Isn’t that interesting? Don’t the Rockefellers have a lot to do with the pharmaceutical industry now and how that’s affiliated with medical school? Did I hear that? Imagine that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, there are no coincidences, right? We started talking about seed oils and how soy is used for biodiesel and other things.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, I mean, seed oils are in itself endocrine disruptors. So they mess up your endocrine system a ton. And that is nothing to shy away from that endocrine system operates your entire body. And if you didn’t have that endocrine system, your brain wouldn’t work, your heart wouldn’t work, all that sort of stuff. And so when we see seed oils and soy in our foods, it’s just like, why, why are they there? They could, they could use olive oil, avocado oil. Um, you said walnut oil, I believe.
SPEAKER 05 :
Walnut oil good for cooking. Yeah.
SPEAKER 11 :
And then, and then we also see like red 40 and that’s causing, um, like a caller said his kid to have ADHD and ADD. Um, and all these color dyes are just like, they’re just screwing up everybody. Because it’s just byproducts of stuff that people don’t want to use and they throw it in our foods because it’s another way to cheapen costs of production.
SPEAKER 05 :
And sadly, a lot of those foods are labeled as healthy. So the consumer is left not knowing. They may have the best of intentions. They think they’re making a great choice. But in reality, it’s not. It’s the corn, it’s the wheat, the soy, and the canola that are the big commodity crops. So those, unless they are labeled USDA certified organic, are absolutely tainted. They’re not good.
SPEAKER 03 :
So let’s make a distinction because we’ve got a lot of farmers out here on the plains growing primarily corn, not so much soy, but we’ve got some soy farmers. So, Tam, are you telling me that the corn that my farmer friends are growing and the soy in and of itself is bad? Yeah.
SPEAKER 05 :
Let me preface everything with saying I love farmers. I come from a farming family, a homesteading family. So farming is near and dear to my heart. And I just love having my hands in the dirt doing anything that is about growing food. So farmers have a really hard job. And I think each farming circumstance is different in terms of how they’re doing things and how their soil has been treated and what their seeds are like. So I am not an expert in that area.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. So I want to make a distinction for our farmer friends that we’re not castigating you guys. We love you. Thank you for feeding us. The bumper sticker says, if you ate today, thank a farmer. So thank you because I ate today. But. Big Ag is putting so much pressure on these guys that they’re using chemicals to pre-treat the ground, to keep bugs from destroying their crops, Roundup Ready seeds, where Monsanto says, OK, you use this, you can spray Roundup, and then suddenly it’s getting into our food supply, and we’re eating this garbage and we’re feeding it to our kids. You were telling me that Cheerios has Roundup in it.
SPEAKER 05 :
It does have Roundup right along with Quaker Oats products. Yes.
SPEAKER 11 :
Quaker Oats is amazing.
SPEAKER 03 :
They taste so good. Yes. So let’s continue talking about hidden estrogens, right? So Jack, you were touching on hidden estrogens and plastics. So expand on that.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, so a lot of cadavers are being studied now, and they’re looking at their brain. And their brain has a thing called the blood-brain barrier, and microplastics seem to just be able to pass right through it. So when we eat our food and it gets into our bloodstream and all that nutrients and the macros, also the plastic comes along with it. And what they’re finding in cadavers is that there is about a teaspoon worth of microplastic or plastic in itself in the brain. And that’s pretty alarming. I mean, it’s, it’s disrupting a ton of people. Um, if you listen to Andrew Huberman, great, great guy, um, great podcaster. He, um, touches on this a lot and people don’t realize that their endocrine system is getting so screwed up because of their food that they’re, that they’re eating and the things that they’re cooking in, like the plastic meal prep containers, they contain a lot of plastic. Um, it’s, it’s something that we can’t really avoid because everything we use such as coffee cup liners, um, mcdonald uh cups oh my iced tea cup the iced tea cup now you have microplastics you’re sipping on microplastics so it’s it’s it’s something that we can’t avoid and we should be aware of it but it’s not something that we should be completely worried about because if we worry about that every single minute of our waking life then we’re not gonna be able to live our full life
SPEAKER 05 :
There are some things that we can do to minimize the exposure to plastics. So you can take the bread out of the plastic bag, and you can wrap it in parchment, and you can put it back in the plastic bag. You can make sure that your containers are either glass or they’re BPA free. You can make sure that your plastic wrap is bpa free um you can even look if you’re buying a can of beans or a can of soup and make sure that that liner is bpa free so these are the forever chemicals that like jack said end up in our brain and i just won’t hold back i did a presentation on this topic a couple of weeks ago so some recent research was talking about plastics being in testicles. So it’s being linked to some very serious health conditions like cancer and so on. So the more that we do to minimize our exposure and we can also keep our body running healthfully by really doing things to support our liver. So the liver’s primary job is detoxification. So the more that we do to free up the burden on our liver, and we can do that through nutrition, making sure we’re getting complex carbohydrates, supporting our blood sugar balance, so on and so forth, helps to free our liver up so it can do its primary job of natural detoxification. So that will help to… for those forever chemicals and those plastics to be excreted as well as excreting unnecessary hormones, extra hormones. I’m not saying it very well from a medical perspective, Dr. Faulkner, but it just helps to keep us on a better track and dealing with everything that we have in our environment. to cope with as well so yes don’t stay up and stress about it but just do one little thing you know take that bread wrap it in the parchment put it in the plastic and that’s your thing that you’re you’re doing now and then next week maybe add one more little thing to to minimize your exposure to plastics in your food

Oh, I think absolutely. It’s all connected, right? And our body is always prioritizing for us. So it’s always working toward homeostasis, creating that balance, and it has to prioritize certain things now to save our life today, and other things go undone. I like to promote the idea of making the 1% healthy change. So just like I was saying before the break, doing that one thing to minimize plastic exposure, taking your oatmeal out of the plastic bag and putting it in a nice glass container.

But not your Quaker oats, right? Because now that’s got Roundup in it.
SPEAKER 05 :
We need your glutified certain fruit.

You’re certified gluten-free. That’s what I’m trying to say. Oats, yeah. You can still have oats.

Thank you. I need that for my protein oatmeal. But yeah, testosterone is declining in men greatly. I think it was in the 1950s, men’s average testosterone was in the 2500s. And now we’re seeing it range from 200 nanograms per deciliter to 700. And that is a major decrease. This is just because, like you said, there’s microplastics in our brain and our testicles. probably in our ovaries or not mine.
SPEAKER 03 :
Thank you for clarifying that.
SPEAKER 11 :
Just make it a great doctor. Yep. Um, and we can see in everyday life, um, you can walk down the street and you’re like, what happened to these young, courageous men that used to walk around every other day? And it’s like, now it’s just soy boys that are, that are crowding the streets. And it’s, it’s pretty sad. Um, But yeah, it’s definitely a major issue that not a lot of people talk about and that they kind of like stray away from because when you talk about TRT or HRT, people- Define TRT and HRT for the listeners. TRT is testosterone replacement therapy. So- People that are hypogonadal, which means that their testicles do not produce testosterone, they are needing of TRT. And when people are prescribed TRT, they are given testosterone shots, testosterone creams, that sort of thing. But when people think of testosterone, a lot of people immediately go to steroids. And then they go down this path of oh, steroids are bad, so TRT is bad. But in all reality, our body needs to stay at 1200 nanograms per deciliter at this day and age. And if our body’s not there, then we’re not performing at our best. And It’s really sad that we’re hiding this from everybody.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, well said. So, Brian, you asked Tam during the break. You’re like, well, I live in an HOA-controlled subdivision with the little Nazi people who tell us you can’t plant a tree and leave my garage door open. Because the answer for a lot of folks is get a greenhouse and grow your own. So you asked, Tam, the question, what about me? I live in a Nazi-controlled HOA.
SPEAKER 13 :
Which will not allow a hoop house or a greenhouse.
SPEAKER 05 :
I say get a little pot and sprinkle some lettuce seeds on that. And you can put that even in your sunny window this time of year. And you’ll get this beautiful lettuce that will start to grow. And it’ll be the best dang lettuce that you’ve ever tasted. And maybe the most nutritious food that you’re eating regularly. at all because it’s talk about farm to table right window sill to table sure so we can do things like that we can also set up you can do a little setup of like some t5 lights on some just basic shelving that you get from walmart or the hardware store And you can put some seed trays in and you can grow microgreens that way. And within three to five days, you’ll have this supply of microgreens again. Right. So nutritious.

Yeah. And that goes back to my question earlier about maybe growing your own or locally.
SPEAKER 03 :
Like a farmer’s market?
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah, farmer’s markets. There are people growing sprouts and lettuces and mushrooms. And it probably doesn’t get any better than that.

Yes, that’s a great option.

Yeah, so I’ve been doing pretty good. My back has been a lot better, which was my major nemesis at first. So now I’m just kind of dealing with the knee. I kind of have what’s called… roving tendinopathy. So if I overdo something, my tendons will, will get bothered now that I’m, I think I’m moving more because of the stem cell treatments. Um, I think my knees started acting up. So just trying to address it using some of your techniques. I’m excited about the red light therapy and your clinic. And, um, yeah, so, It’s been a great fit for me after 14 years of dealing with this to find something that has been helpful. And I hope more people will give it a go and try it before. I think by now, if I would have gone the traditional route, I probably would have had one, two, three, four. I had one surgery. I probably would have had like about eight surgeries.

The paper, Joe Namath had concussions, traumatic brain injuries. And he gives his video testimonial of how he did a SPECT scan. That’s spelled S-P-E-C-T. It’s a certain kind of CT scan where the left half of his brain, the entire hemisphere, really didn’t light up. And so watching one of his teammates just go downhill, one of the linemen, to the point where it killed him, he says, I need to get help. So he talked to the doctors there in Florida where he’s living. They did the spec scans, showed that the left side didn’t work. He then had 40 – we call them dives in the hyperbaric chamber – and his spec scan started to improve he did another 40 dives and it resolved entirely so a lot of these young kids who are getting head injuries from playing lacrosse playing football young girls playing soccer taking that ball off the top of their head like my daughter she fell off her horse twice because he spun around on her launched her she hit her head even though she had a helmet on had multiple concussions this is going to be a game changer for a lot of folks Now, sometimes people are like, well, I don’t want to do a spec scan. My insurance won’t pay for that. What they’ve learned that if you do one treatment and you see results, we know for a fact it’s going to work for you. So that is coming in about 45 days. In fact, I just placed the order yesterday. People with refractory depression, anxiety, it’s without pills, without throwing Prozac and Zoloft at folks. So these are the sorts of things that I like bringing in. Jack, do you know much about red light and mitochondria? Yeah.

I mean, I have sat in numerous red light saunas, and after I get out, I feel so rejuvenated. I’m not really sure on the specifics of it, but I know it’s great for your cell health.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, that’s exactly right. So it recharges. And for those who don’t know what the mitochondria is, every cell has mitochondria. Mitochondria are your powerhouses, right? So they take ATP and burn it for energy. So if your mitochondria are dysfunctional, you’re going to be listless. You’re not going to have that power. So some of the things that we’ve done in the past is give somebody NAD, which is a coenzyme to make your mitochondria function better. We’ll give you stem cells. And by the way, hyperbaric oxygen has been proven to increase your stem cells, something near and dear to my heart. But by giving somebody red light, we can revive your mitochondria as well. We also have pulsed electromagnetic fields, PEMF. So they’ve shown in research, if they use PEMF for spine surgery, your recovery is better. faster and you have a better outcome uh knee injuries shoulder injuries we can do a total body pmf we have two mats a bottom blanket and a top one and we can reset the voltage because with injuries a normal healthy cell has a voltage of 70 millivolts when tissue gets injured It’s like a car battery in the winter that starts to drain and it becomes and won’t start your car. So by doing PEMF, we actually put the charge back in. We hit you with red light, recharge your mitochondria. We make you a new person, all without pills. So it’s really exciting stuff. And then one of the other things that we do, and Jack, you are my resident expert on peptides. So a lot of people hear this word peptides. What is this peptides that I hear Dr. Faulkner or other clinicians talking about? Explain to folks what are peptides?
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, for sure. So peptides are a chain of short amino acids. And so they act as signaling molecules. So what that means is that you already have your baseline hormones and peptides. regulation, if that makes sense. And once you take these peptides, it upregulates it. So you have your baseline and then it’s adding a, probably a 30% increase on top of that. So it’s a noticeable difference. And a lot of people take these to stimulate tissue repair, um, hormone regulation, have it go into a homeostasis, um, metabolic functions also in, um, enhancing anti-aging because collagen production is increasing, weight loss, cognitive function, immune support, all that sort of stuff. Common peptides that are known and like what I would say are my top five are BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295, and ipamirelin. So I’ll go over BPC-157 and TB-500 first.

They are known for their tendon and ligament healing. So in research, they did a study on rats where they severed their Achilles tendon, and they gave one set of rats, BPC and TB-500, and the other set, none. And they waited, I believe it was 12 weeks, and none. the tissue repair was significantly more and faster and more elasticity than the non-peptide using rats. And so when we see these… athletes use them. The athletes will go out with an Achilles injury. They’ll go out with a torn pec. They’ll go out with a hamstring injury. They’ll come back within three to six weeks and they’ll be just back to normal. There was a, um, recent Olympian that, uh, I believe he tore his ACL and within eight weeks he was back and he was competing and he won gold. Um, Then CJC and ipamorelin. CJC and ipamorelin boost growth hormone levels in your body. So this increases collagen production, overall recovery, IGF-1, which is very crucial for your muscle protein synthesis. And then another one that is very common within the fitness community is MK-677. So this is a growth hormone secretagogue. And how this works is your stomach has two types of receptors. It has the hunger hormone, which is ghrelin, which is what MK-677 secretes. And so when it secretes ghrelin, it makes you more hungry. Therefore, increasing your metabolic activity and increasing your caloric intake and also increasing all the growth hormone and IGF-1 like CJC and Ipamorelin. But people use this in the fitness industry to quote unquote bulk up and to put on more weight because relatively once you get to a certain point, it’s kind of hard to eat past 5,000 calories worth of whole foods. So people take this to increase all that sort of stuff and to increase their appetite.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, we’re not talking most of my listeners because they want to lose the weight. But this is for that athlete who’s trying to bulk up. Would this be good for, say, a little old lady who’s in the nursing home who doesn’t have an appetite? or broke her hip and she’s 90 pounds soaking wet.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yes, sir. So we have seen that osteoporosis is linked to growth hormone secretion. Osteoclasts and osteoblasts are what build and deconstruct bone. And so when growth hormone isn’t present in the body, it it has more, uh, bone degeneration than regeneration. So when we give someone growth hormone that is not synthetic and is already produced in their body, but just an upregulation, we have seen that osteoporosis tends to go way more, uh, their appetite, appetite increases their muscle, uh, muscle maturity increases their muscle overall increases and it’s just i mean women women can take this men can take this generally anybody can take this the only thing that i would recommend to look out for is your blood sugar levels because it does affect that yeah you’re exactly right so osteoblast build the bone osteoclast tear down the bone and you have an imbalance of osteoclast versus the osteoblast so you’re exactly right so this will help that elderly person who’s
SPEAKER 03 :
in a nursing home or heading in that direction needs to bulk up because in our world, we call growth hormone the fountain of youth. Yes, sir. What it does for muscle mass, for your skin, for tendons, for just about everything. But if I write for growth hormone, I will have the FDA on my doorstep tomorrow. You see more energy, you see higher muscle protein synthesis, you see better bone density, you see higher cognitive function, no brain fog. So peptides are relatively completely safe. And if you’re not, it’s it you’re lacking.

So a lot of people, when they think of steroids, they think of Mr. Olympia or these huge guys that are 400 plus pounds. Well, the reality is they’re injecting grams of steroids into their body when you only really need probably 0.8 milligrams of testosterone to reach your body. desired effect in your regulation hormone balance.
