In this episode, we address the issues of fraud within state-funded programs and explore the delicate balance between freedom and force. As we stand on the brink of a new era, let’s discuss the evolving American Experiment and what it means for individual liberty and government oversight. We delve deeper into the topic with a focus on surveillance and privacy, prompted by recent developments with Flock Cameras. Conversations with guest Mike Rolick reveal
SPEAKER 07 :
It’s the Kim Munson Show, analyzing the most important stories.
SPEAKER 17 :
The socialization of transportation, education, energy, housing, and water. What it means is that government controls it through rules and regulations.
SPEAKER 07 :
The latest in politics and world affairs.
SPEAKER 17 :
Under this guise of bipartisanship and nonpartisanship, it’s actually tapping down the truth.
SPEAKER 07 :
Today’s current opinions and ideas.
SPEAKER 17 :
On an equal field in the battle of ideas, mistruths and misconceptions is getting us into a world of hurt.
SPEAKER 07 :
Is it freedom or is it force? Let’s have a conversation.
SPEAKER 17 :
Indeed, let’s have a conversation, and welcome to the Kim Munson Show. Thank you so much for joining us. You each are treasured, you’re valued, you have purpose. Today, strive for excellence, take care of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your body. My friends, we were made for this moment in history. Thank you to the team. That’s Producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike, Teresa, Amanda, and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting. Happy New Year’s to you, Producer Joe. Happy New Year’s to you as well, Kim. And I can’t believe it, but we are into 2026 tomorrow. We will be celebrating our 250th birthday for the United States of America. And we are in our third founding to determine whether this great American experiment will continue. uh which is focused that on this vision of the declaration that all men are created equal with these rights from god of life liberty and pursuit of happiness and so we are at a time when i say that we are made for this moment truly we are made for this moment and i want to say thank you to all of you who support us we are an independent voice on an independent station searching for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And it’s not compassionate nor altruistic to take other people’s stuff, whether or not it’s their rights, property, freedom, livelihood, opportunity, childhoods or lives via force. And a force can obviously be a weapon, but it can be policy and unpredictable and excessive taxation, fear, coercion, government induced inflation, the World Economic Forum’s agenda and globalist elites. And that’s playing out all the way from the United Nations to municipal governments. And we are seeing everyday individuals, as they’re seeing their property being threatened, that they are stepping forward to protect this right to own property. And these onerous taxes and fees and eminent domain is taking property from everyday middle-class Americans. And it’s a wealth transfer. And I need to add on this, I think, the word fraud. Because we are seeing fraud at epic levels that has occurred and that fraud is taking from everyday Americans, middle class Americans, and it’s going into the pockets of, well, we’ll find out. That’s the great thing about truth is eventually we will find out. But remember, if something’s a good idea, you should not have to use force to implement it. On the show, we focus on issues, and we’ll mention the people around those issues, but we really work diligently to stay out of the eighth-grade girl fighting that happens in politics. our word of the day is surveillance and i chose that because we’ll be talking with mike rollick who is a very active citizen who’s become very knowledgeable on many of these surveillance questions and we’ll be in particular talking about flock cameras but i thought the word of the day would be a good word for surveillance and that’s s-u-r-v-e-i-l-l-a-n-c-e and this is from the american heritage dictionary of the english language Number one, it could be a close observation of a person or group, especially one under suspicion. Number two, the act of observing or the condition of being observed. And so oversight, watch, inspection, supervision are all words that can be associated with surveillance. So your challenge is to use the word surveillance in a sentence today. And our quote of the day is from John Perry Barlow, born 1947, died in 2018. He was an American poet, essayist, cattle rancher, and cyber libertarian, and also a political activist. And he’d been associated with both the Democrat and Republican parties. He was a lyricist for the Grateful Dead and a founding member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation. and the Freedom of the Press Foundation, as well as an early fellow at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society. And he said this. He said, relying on the government to protect your privacy is like asking a peeping Tom to install your window blinds. And I thought that was appropriate for surveillance conversations that we’re going to have today. So today is New Year’s Eve. And this is a this is from the Irish Star says New Year’s Eve events canceled around the world as urgent warning is issued. And it’s, let’s see here. It said, thousands of individuals hoping to ring in 2026 have had their plans disrupted as reports of planned attacks have led to the cancellation of parties, fireworks, and live events just days before December 31st. New York City still plans to drop the New Year’s Eve’s Ball, but it’s changed its plans for this year. And it says the wave of cancellations began after the FBI uncovered a planned bombing attack in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. Agents were able to apprehend the four suspects during the mock run-through of their attack in the Mojave Desert just outside the city, reports the Daily Express United Kingdom. And so this will be a good question as we talk with Mike Rolick about surveillance and flock cameras and these drones, because he and I are both concerned about our Fourth Amendment, our right to privacy, However, when I see this and apprehending those that wanted to do an attack in Los Angeles, I want to see what he has to say about that, because he and I are both very concerned about our privacy. Another headline that I wanted to go through, and you’ve probably seen this, but 24-year-old Nick Shirley was able to shed light on a bunch of this fraud that’s going on in Minnesota regarding daycares. And this is from the Tampa Free Press. It says, And it says Shirley posted a video last Friday showing multiple purported Somali-run daycare centers in Minnesota, including one that reportedly collected $4 million in taxpayer funds that did not appear to have children present. In the video, Shirley said he was followed while documenting the locations, though the footage itself does not appear to show those individuals. He says, now we’re being followed by the Somalis, and we have a group of Somalis trailing us in our vehicle now. He says prior to being followed, Shirley visited Sweet Angel Child Daycare, where he encountered individuals he described as alleged Somali fraudsters. The encounter escalated into a confrontation outside the daycare as individuals disputed his questions and refused to provide clear answers about enrollment or operations. The 43-minute video shows Shirley visiting multiple daycare centers that reportedly received state funds and in several cases finding no children on the site. Well, KSTP reported that the quality, they couldn’t even spell learning. It said LEARING Center accumulated 95 violations from a Minnesota agency between 2019 and 2023. It says the Treasury Department is probing claims that money tied to the scheme may have ended up benefiting Al-Shabaab, a Somali-based Islamic terrorist group affiliated with al-Qaeda. And we prerecorded for tomorrow, for January 1st, first hour, great interview with Dr. Deborah Sheffel, who is the dean of education at Colorado Christian University. And the second hour with Helen Raleigh, who has immigrated from China. She’s a proud American citizen. And she said this is money that is being taken out of America. everyday Americans pockets and going to these fraudsters. And then that brings up the next headline that we have here. And this is from the Daily Caller. It says HUD finds Biden administration gave out billions. My friends, that’s with a B in housing aid to dead and ineligible tenants. It says a newly released report said that this was issued through federal rental assistance programs. So, again, this is this government subsidized housing. These apartments that are being built, where did that money go? Well, part of it went probably to developers to shore up rents. However, if the people weren’t even there, that’s a whole other question. And it says HUD’s internal review flagged approximately $5.8 billion in rental assistance payments made in the fiscal year 2024 as questionable out of nearly $50 billion distributed nationwide. We’ve got to get taxes lowered. We’ve got to get rid of these grants. We’ve got to get rid of the all these subsidies, because what what we are seeing is this is money that is being taken from everyday hardworking Americans and through fraud is fraud. being distributed to, and we will find out. But what happens when government gets outside of its lane of what it’s supposed to be doing, it opens up this opportunity, and we’ve got to get this stopped. And so these important discussions happen because of our sponsors. One of those is Hooters Restaurants. They have locations in Loveland, Westminster, and in Aurora. Kurt Gerwitz and I were over there for lunch on Friday, Monday after he was on the show and I had the nachos. They are some of the best nachos that I’ve had. And so it’s a great place to watch the Broncos as they are going to be working their way through the playoffs. And again, thank you to Hooters Restaurants for their sponsorship. And also the Roger Mangan State Farm Insurance team is another great sponsor of the show. SPEAKER 17 :
Welcome back to the Kim Munson Show. Be sure and check out our website. That is Kim Munson, M-O-N-S-O-N dot com. And on the line with me is Mike Rolick. He is a concerned citizen and has been watching a lot regarding flock cameras. And apparently Flagstaff, Arizona, is taking action on that. So, Mike Rolick, welcome to the show.
SPEAKER 09 :
Good morning, Kim. How are you?
SPEAKER 17 :
I am doing well and happy New Year to you.
SPEAKER 09 :
Happy New Year as well. Yes, thanks for having me again. And I was alerted to this whole thing with Flagstaff. There was a vote on December 16th, and the vote ended up in a cancellation of the Flock contract. Through the D-Flock website, I think I mentioned that once before, D-Flock.org. No, sorry, D-Flock.org. There’s folks that were kind of going back and forth on the message board, and I saw this thing about Flagstaff, and I also think I saw it in the news. But what’s interesting is, I don’t know if you had a chance to look at some of the videos I sent, it’s not canceled for some of the reasons that we would normally think about. So it has a chance to come back.
SPEAKER 17 :
So what were the reasons that they canceled this?
SPEAKER 09 :
primarily because of the Skagit County decision in Washington and the decision there to say flock safety images are part of the open records and not the criminal records side of the coin. And as such, they were worried that when the Flagstaff police was trying to put a safeguard on the preservation of these images and cut it down from 30 days to 14, that they might be in violation of Open Record Act custodian provisions, i.e., how long should you be holding an open record for? Now, I looked into Colorado. The actual time period is not determined by the state for open records, but they say it should be determined by state. The specific custodian or agency. Sorry, the agency that the custodians working for. So, you know, for instance, Jefferson County might have the ability to determine its own time for open records. And so on down the line. However, I have done open records requests that have gone back years. And different government entities in Colorado have those. So it’s an interesting caveat where they say, well, if we’re cutting it down from 30 days to 14 days, we might violate an open records provision if Arizona decides that these images are part of the open records. That was one of the main drivers of this decision.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, so you have been talking with Arvada regarding a drone program, because Arvada has flock cameras, yes?
SPEAKER 09 :
Arvada has flock hammers. Jeffco has flock hammers. Pretty much, it seems like many municipalities have them now. It’s growing pretty quickly.
SPEAKER 17 :
Have you looked at the financials on flock? How much money are they making on providing this at the municipal level and the county level? Have you had a chance to look at that, Mike?
SPEAKER 09 :
I saw one website that claimed that the valuation of the company is up to $7.5 billion.
SPEAKER 17 :
Wow. And that’s pretty significant. So you said there’s some misinformation about how flock cameras have stopped crimes. So talk to me a little bit about that.
SPEAKER 09 :
So that was… No, what it was is some of the city council was admonishing the citizens by saying some of the things that you’ve claimed tonight are misinformation. And therefore, during this next six-month period that Flagstaff is going to go through, we’re going to have the deeper conversations and discussions. basically tell you that you’re wrong. That’s what it felt like. There were two council members that were very adamant that some of the testimony was misinformation. One of those pieces that was cited in the video clip set that I boiled down was that they can’t determine the make and model of a car or see anyone that’s inside of it. And flock safety talks about make and model of car, not just the license plate, identifying characteristics, even bumper stickers. So could they see someone inside as a private company? There’s obviously right now there’s a veil. It’s tough to see the images that they’re taking. But when they advertise right down the bumper stickers, it’s a logical conclusion that, you know, through a transparent window, as long as there’s no you know, sun glinting off of it or what have you, that you could probably see the person inside. Now, do they have facial recognition? I don’t know. I’ve seen things yes and no to that situation. But, you know, again, that was one of the pieces of misinformation that the city council had cited. What was also interesting is one of the city councilors mentioned that in Cambridge, They canceled the contract because, this is according to Cambridge, not me, but Cambridge had said that Flock went and installed two unauthorized cameras on their own. And Cambridge up in Massachusetts felt like there was a breach of trust there and therefore canceled the contract because they didn’t want those two extra cameras. So there’s a question there as well. That’s pretty interesting. The other big overarching decision-making criteria was federal overreach. There was a lot of discussion by city council saying, I trust our police department. I trust our city IT department. I trust our city staff. But what happens when ICE asks for the same data? Once it’s in the flock server, we don’t have any control of where it goes. They kept on talking about federal overreach with the current administration. I would contend that this is a problem potentially for all administrations. They seem to forget there’s been other administrations prior to Trump.
SPEAKER 17 :
So I don’t know if you heard the quote that I had at the beginning of the show. And this was and I chose it because I knew of our discussion. And it’s from let me get over here to it. It says it’s from John Perry Barlow. And he said, relying on the government to protect your privacy is like asking a peeping Tom to install your window blinds. So when you have government officials saying that it’s safe with us, I just think the quote is very appropriate. What do you think?
SPEAKER 09 :
I would think so as well. I mean, I’ve heard this numerous times in certain city council or county meetings or what have you, where they’ll say, I trust my own staff, but I don’t trust what goes on outside these limits. I have a question because I think it should always be trust, but verify or verify before trust, maybe even where you say, I’d like to verify. So I know if I can trust you that that’s kind of innate and mammal behavior, right? They want to verify who you are before they can start trusting you. But we’re supposed to trust first because of a process that could potentially get abused. So it might be a little bit backwards. But then also the idea that, Our local government is as clean as a whistle, might be, but that Fed over there is not. And that’s an interesting leap as well. Because everybody in this situation would be some form of government employee. And if you’re trusting the process, how come these people who trust the city process 100 percent would not trust a state or federal process as well? So, you know, to me, trust the verifier, verify, then trust all of these processes and all of the entities. But the idea that, you know, locally, I like all you guys, but feds, bad. It was interesting. But they did talk about overreach when it comes to ICE. They did talk about overreach when it comes to other federal agencies and the subpoena ability. And if Flock would then, therefore, turn over Flagstaff citizens’ data or any citizens who passed their Flagstaff, really – You and I could drive through there and then, you know, we’re caught on the same license plate readers. And I thought that was an interesting contention because it shows that somewhere there’s a level of mistrust of mass surveillance for basically everybody.
SPEAKER 17 :
A couple of things. First of all, the concern regarding ICE, and I know that there’s all kinds of politics around that, but if people are here and they’re criminals and they’re here illegally… then they should not be here. And so the idea that they would protect people that are here illegally and that that’s their reasoning, instead of trying to protect everyday people, middle-class Americans. This goes to, we’re starting to see something so big here with the Somali fraud up in Minnesota. I just mentioned a headline that under the Biden administration, that there was billions of dollars that was given out to people for rent subsidies that were either dead or should not have received it. And this, again, this is money that is being taken to from everyday Americans, and I had one of our listeners, I’ve talked about that our property is being threatened. He says, Kim, I think you should change that to say that our property is being stolen. So when you have people at the local level, and Mike, when I look at what’s happening out in Lakewood, with the citizens of Lakewood just want to get some questions on the ballot regarding the changes in zoning and density. And when I’ve seen the gyrations, if you will, by the city manager and city council, is, you know, this idea that you can just you can trust local government, but you can’t trust state and federal government is is is I don’t know what the word would be. I have been going through my mind. What’s that?
SPEAKER 09 :
I just say it falls short. It falls short. Like, you know, there should be the verification before the trust is earned. You know, trust should be earned. And yes, in a lot of local processes, I’ve seen the citizens are having a hard time trusting, you know, even the basic land use decisions. And those are the things that, you know, my organizations are normally involved with, you know, rezonings and such. So I question it as well. Interesting enough, though, I’m reading a law essay by an attorney, David Gray, out of Iowa, who discussed how the Fourth Amendment applies not just to citizens, but to everyone because it actually uses the term persons instead of citizens. And it also might apply to private corporations and not just those that are considered to be state actors. So I’m diving into that. But, you know, I would – feel a little squeamish if we said, well, we can use automatic license plate readers for verification of immigration status or not, because we’re all in that mass surveillance to make that determination in the first place. Right. So the idea to me is to get rid of mass surveillance because What they have to do is look at everyone’s images or everyone’s car’s images or everyone’s license plate and bumper sticker make and model images and then start going through those at the behest of a state. or city entity or federal entity to provide information. Therefore, I do believe that they become a state actor themselves because they’re acting at the behest of the state. And this is an interesting thing that I picked up earlier today. This is from a discussion from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center’s definition of a government agent under the Fourth Amendment. And they were going through the differences, right? and they say, they’re talking about a UPS employee. It says, okay, United Parcel Services, FedEx, those are both private corporations. Do you agree? And this man says, yes, sir. He says, so if UPS employee looks inside a package that I’m delivering, of course, he’s going to, he is going inside a place where I have a reasonable expectation of privacy. But again, that UPS employee is a private, right? He says, yes. And then he says, So it says, can, well, Miller says, can private parties ever trigger the Fourth Amendment? So it says, yes, as discussed, if a private party were to be acting at the behest of a government, if a government agent were to ask the FedEx or UPS person to open up a package and look inside or to ask someone’s girlfriend to go through their things looking for evidence to turn over to the police, then that would be government activity. That would be the actions of a government agent because government agents can’t ask private parties to do something that they themselves couldn’t do under the Fourth Amendment. So in this type of instance, it would be extended to that private party. I would contend that flock safety is in that paradigm.
SPEAKER 17 :
Realm, in that realm.
SPEAKER 09 :
Exactly. And so my issue there is that flock safety could be considered a state actor, which I’d love to see a more formal determination than – Regardless of how we feel about immigration status, should that be the vehicle to determine that? And because it can get extended to some really scary places for a lot of people. So, you know, I mean, it’s an interesting conundrum because we really haven’t dealt with mass surveillance and Fourth Amendment yet because the technology wasn’t there. And Alito pointed to that in Carpenter and his dissent opinion where he talked about how this – this mass surveillance is moving faster than we can really comprehend.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, and boy, this is such important stuff, and we’re going to continue this discussion into the new year. And so we will talk with you again, Mike, next Wednesday on this and just on the great work that you’re doing. And I know a lot of it’s in the weeds, but it’s really important. So, Mike Rawlik, I wish you a very happy new year. We’ve got a lot of work to do in 2026.
SPEAKER 09 :
Absolutely. Happy New Year to you and your family and your staff, and have a great day.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay. And again, that’s Mike Rolick. He is an informed citizen and is doing great work, very, very important work. And we have the Fourth Amendment for a reason. He is one of the most important voices, I think, in the country regarding election integrity. Steve Stern, welcome to the show.
SPEAKER 04 :
Let me give everybody a little background on who I am. I’m out in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I’m the vice chair. My last name is spelled S-T-E-R-N. Stern American Rumble, Stern American on X. As I said, I’m the vice chair of Broward County Republican Party. I’ve been there for 25 years. I’m the vice president of the Western Republican Club. We do precinct strategy and election integrity. How all that gets started, we did precinct strategy for a number of years. If you all go to www.precinctstrategy.com, you can see how to be a member of the Republican Party. And the funny part about it, precinct strategy has been around for a long time. It started with Dan Schultz and Steve Bannon. And just last week, the Democrats stole precinct strategy. When I say they stole them, they sent out an hour-long video on how to join, how to get involved. So Republicans have fallen asleep after President Trump won the election. And how does precinct strategy and election integrity get together and what we’re doing? So we started this about four and a half years ago when I got on Steve Bannon. and we talked about precinct strategy, and we had a lot of success stories here in Broward County. So they got me on numerous times, and we promote precinct strategy. Now, precinct strategy is what do you do when you become a committee man, a committee woman, and how is that tied into election integrity? Well, each county has either an executive committee, town committee, some type of committee, or some type of club that or like in California, they don’t have committees or that type of stuff. They have central committees. So we have asked people to join, and there’s 400,000 slots. Five years ago, there was 200,000 people involved. Today, there’s 400,000 slots and 210,000 people involved. That’s pretty poor for the Republican Party in getting people involved. So we make a big effort to get people involved. And when you become a committee man and a committee woman, you attend meetings, you vote. But the most important thing is getting candidates elected. And that’s, I think, one of the most important things that people don’t understand. They need those people for volunteers. You sign up voters, you canvass neighborhoods, you poll watch, you poll work, make phone calls, or you don’t have to do anything. A lot of people come to meetings, and really, they don’t do anything. So we need more people to step up. And I’m 84 years old, and we need younger people to get involved. How did all this stuff happen? How did I get involved in the election integrity? Well, two days before the 2020 election, I was up with President Trump in Mar-a-Lago, up in his private office for about 45 minutes. And how did I get up there? Well, you can tell by my energy I don’t give up. I keep knocking on doors. So President Trump, through Liz Harrington, Steve Bannon, and myself, and Dan Schultz, got President Trump to endorse precinct strategy. And I called up his office after I had been in a meeting with him in the Broward Convention Center, where there was a big operation going on, and he was talking, numerous people were talking. It was like an eight-hour deal. And at the end, they brought me in, And with one of my candidates. So there was about 25 people. We took pictures of President Trump. And when I took a picture of him, I asked him if he knew what precinct strategy was. He said he did not. And then he said, when we get into our little conference here, he gave everybody about five minutes. And he said, explain to me what it is. And then he said, if I knew about precinct strategy before, I would have won the election. And he said, give my assistants your card, and I want you to come up to Mar-a-Lago. Well, the assistants never called me. I kept banging away until I got his secretary. And You know, I explained to her what happened. I said, oh, I’m sure he’ll be glad to see you. So they set up an appointment, and he canceled the appointment. He had to go to New York, and two weeks later, he made another appointment at 4 o’clock. Well, the funny part about it was that day at 6 o’clock, we were having an event for President Trump for everything he did in Israel. So it ended up very good because I got up to speak to him, and as we were speaking, I asked him if he would endorse two of my candidates, which was kind of crazy two days before the election, but he did. And he asked me what I thought about the 2024 election. Well, that’s how it changed my life. I said, well, I didn’t think there was any change.
SPEAKER 17 :
The 2024 or the 2020 election?
SPEAKER 04 :
No, the 2024 election. This was 2022 when I was up there two days before that election. And he said, what do you think about the 2024 election? Because he was going to run for president again. And he wanted to know kind of what I thought about. uh… you know what was going to happen and i said to him well i don’t think anything has changed everybody you know he’s gone and you know all the judges said you had no standing everybody said you know the election was told so anyway He said to me, I know you do a precinct strategy Zoom meeting. Why don’t you include that with election integrity? I said, well, Mr. President, I really don’t know a lot about election integrity, but I spent the next five weeks calling all the important people and about 100 people. So about six weeks later, we decided to do one included with our precinct strategy. And we actually got more people on in the election integrity than we did on the precinct strategy. So we were doing this for, you know, for now… Since then, and about a year and a half ago, I was on Steve Bannon in the morning. He pretty much puts me on every time we have an election security meeting to tell everybody about it because he really believes in it. And he normally gives me about four or five minutes. This day he gave me 10 minutes. And he said, you know, prior to getting on, his guy put my email on the bottom of the screen. And that was different because I hadn’t put my email on. I don’t usually show it. And I want to let everybody know my email is S Stern spelled S-T-E-R-N S Stern one zero five four gmail dot com. Because if you’d like to get on our election security calls, we’ll talk about it. We’re glad to get you on. All you have to do is email me, but I’ll tell you how many different ways you can get on. So anyway, on this morning, he said to me, we’re going to put this on the War Room feed, and we’re going to put this on Getter. And next day, Maureen Bannon called me and said we had 60,000 people on the call. And I said to myself, wow, this is unbelievable. So we’ve had close to 7 million people on it, these different calls. And how we did that was I started calling all podcasters, radio shows, TV shows, anybody I knew, anybody I knew that could send me people. So we built this up down to 150 podcasters. We have OBVN Network. We have Lindell TV. We have CloudHub, Stern American Rumble. We have Getter. We have The War Room. And many, many, many other people help us to put this thing through. because the more people you get on, the more it’s important. So, um, Going on, we’ve had one. The biggest one we ever had was probably over 8 million people here just recently on the 17th of December. That was our close of the year, and we had Cleta Mitchell on. She’s one of the stars, and she is EIN Network. She was on for about 15 minutes. Then Peter Tickton came on. Peter talked about Tina Peters, and let me bring you updated for Tina. I spoke to Marcy Hoshika, who’s her best friend. yesterday, last night, so we get the most information we can. So we’ve asked people to send cards for Christmas, naturally. And as of today, she hasn’t really received many. Now, what happens is she doesn’t get the card. This is how stupid the prison is. They… Um, photostat every card. They won’t give it the original cards. And I’m sure we had 10,000 people send Christmas cards. And hopefully she gets them eventually. Um, she is out of, um, the hole. She’s no longer in, you know, she was in the hole 15 days. Um, she’s, uh, people are calling. She has her privileges for the PX or the canteen or whatever they call it there. Um, her cough is a little bit better. Um, and she’s hoping in two weeks when they, when they have, um, her appeal that, you know, she gets out on bail. Whether that’ll happen or not, I don’t know. A lot of people don’t realize that President Trump has pardoned her, and that was the help of Peter Tickton, Dr. Corsi, and numerous attorneys that were working on it. Before we go any further, I’d like everybody, and we’ve done this on every show, to call Governor Jared Polis at 303- 303-866-2471. I’ll repeat that. 303-866-2471 and ask him to honor the pardon that President Trump has done. A lot of people say, well, how are we going to get her out when President Trump partnered? Well, this is going to go through the courts. But many people said, hey, bring, you know, the National Guard in there. Bring the uh… the troops in it bring everybody in it again around because uh… uh… her attorneys went there with the pardon and they wouldn’t let her out naturally so whereas everybody and i know you did a great petition i helped you with the petition and ask it to get around really the truth of the matter is is that We asked a million people to call Governor Polis, and up to now we estimate about 20,000 people have called, which is ridiculous because how hard is it to pick up the phone, call the governor’s office? Maybe you’re afraid. And, you know, we probably have 100,000 Republicans in Congress. Colorado, which should be picking up the phone and calling the governor. Now, maybe they’re afraid, which happens in many parts all over the country, because a lot of people, even in California, sign up as Democrats because they don’t want their kids, even though they’re Republicans, to get ostracized in school. So you can see what all the problems are. And, you know, we try to have this talking about excuse me, on our election security call. We had Steve Gruber on from Real America Voice.
SPEAKER 17 :
Go ahead. And Steve, you know what? Let’s go to break. We need to get a break in here. And I’m talking with Steve Stern. You can find him at sternamerican.com. That’s S-T-E-R-N-A-M-E-R-I-C-A-N.com. SPEAKER 17 :
And welcome back to the Kim Munson Show. Check out our website. That is Kim Munson, M-O-N-S-O-N.com. And I’m talking with Steve Stern. His website is Stern, that’s S-T-E-R-N, American.com. And he was talking about Tina Peters, giving us an update on that. He’s recommending people call Jared Polis’ office, 303-866-2471. And as you all know, a week ago, Monday, I delivered a petition to Governor Polis’ office calling on Governor Polis to exhibit mercy, compassion, and kindness to Tina Peters and release her by Christmas Eve. He did not do that. Every year since he’s been governor, he has issued pardons or commuted sentences. Last year, he pardoned 22 people. Among them were two murderers, one rapist, and one bank robber. and so it seems like uh uh releasing tina peters who is a non-violent um been been convicted of non-violent crime she’s appealing that and she was they would not let her post bond so that she could be out of prison while she’s going through this appeal process And hopefully, you know, she’ll be able to get out soon. She’s been incarcerated for over a year at a maximum security facility here in Colorado. They don’t have minimum security facilities for women in Colorado. So this is just a really, it’s a real problem. stepped forward and helped us with that petition and we just put it together in a couple of weeks 4,201 people signed that from all 50 states the District of Columbia and what we did provide was first name first initial of the last name and the state because people are concerned sometimes about putting their name on things Steve Stern and I thank you for your help on this
SPEAKER 04 :
Sure. We’re glad to do this. And every time we have a show, every show that I’m on, I talk about Tina Peters because many people in this country have no clue who she is. It’s terrible. And some important things are let me just a lot of people don’t know who I am because, you know, you you get on 150 podcasts of many shows. But Newsmax threw me off. because I talked about the machines and because I talked about Mike Lindell. So they taped the show, and then they never would have it on. They were going to have it live on. And then they said, no, we can’t do that because you can’t talk about anybody’s show. So it was ridiculous. So last night I was watching Fox, and one of the guys who are going to be on our next call, which is going to be here next Wednesday on the 7th. We had Ken Cuccinelli. He was on Fox last night talking about some different things. He’ll be on our next call. We’re going to have Dr. Jerome Corsi. He’s going to be talking about one of the most important things, the executive order that President Trump is working on, one-day voting, no machines, no illegal aliens, and on and on and on. So that’s going to be important. We’re going to have on Carlin Favarito and David Cross talking about all the fraud in Georgia. We’re going to have Jonathan Broadbent on, who’s going to be talking about precinct strategy. We’ll have Gary Myers on. He’s from Ohio. He’s going to be talking about he has an organization called that has experts on every field. We’re going to have Shelby Bush, who’s going to be talking about the fraud in Arizona. Aubrey Campbell was going to be talking about the hand count in Dallas County. However, yesterday, they just decided not to have it because of many reasons, Democrats fighting them, the Republicans fighting them. They’ve raised $400,000 to do this. and now they’re not going to have it. So that’s a setback. We’re going to have Lance Migliaccio, who is one of our podcasters. So every time we have podcasters on, we have them, you know, we try to have one podcaster talk and let them know who they are. We’ll have Terry Raposon from California talking about the school system in California. We will have Jefferson Davis. He’ll be talking about the fraud in Wisconsin. and on and on. So we have usually about 14 speakers. And I want to tell everybody, you know, everybody says, well, you know, are you still in business? What are you doing? So I’m going to be celebrating my 72nd year. I’m 72 years in business. We own the largest patriotic website in the world called theflagshirt.com, www.theflagshirt.com. You want to wear your shirts whenever you go to a rally or everything like that to show your patriotism. We own a lot of different – websites, all mostly with apparel. OneThrive.com is our newest one. It’s calendars. And I gave most of the business to my son so I could do this on a regular basis. And I did about 150 podcasts last year. I was on Real America Voice on many, many, many other programs. So If you want to get on this election security call, you can email me at sstern1054 at gmail.com. You can go to Stern American Rumble. If you go to Stern American Rumble, you can see all the back issues. You can see everything we’re doing. We made clips of all the important speakers. And one of the most important things, we had Steve Bannon on. He did about six, seven minutes. He was one of the last people on, if you want to see him. We have a clip of him on there. But I asked him an important question. because if we don’t get what I asked them to happen, we’re not going to win the 2026 election. And what I asked them was, I said, President Trump gets up and talks about everything he has done, which is terrific, and he’s done a lot of great stuff, but there’s no response to the grassroots. So what I asked him was, somebody asked President Trump to have in his administration a a group of people that will respond to the grassroots because what’s happened is He is the leader. He has to tell everybody what to do. He has to ask people to get involved. If he doesn’t do that, we’re going to get wiped out on the 2026 election. And the reason is the Democrats, believe it or not, as bad as they are, they are organizing, they are spending zillions of dollars getting people involved. They’re paying for people to get involved. They’re using our precinct strategy they never used before. And the Republicans are living on the laurels of Trump cutting taxes, no tips, no tax on tips, et cetera, et cetera, and all the stuff he’s doing. And they are watching him. What are you doing? Some of the stuff they like, some of the stuff they don’t like. However, he’s doing a lot of stuff. But he’s not getting the grassroots people involved. They are not doing anything. I mean, I wouldn’t say nobody’s doing anything, but we need people. We need people to get involved. We’re trying to turn Broward County red. Broward County is still a blue county in Florida, even though we have plus 1.3 million Republicans over Democrats in the state. We’re spending… $50,000 sending text emails to all the homes that have one Democrat and one Republican in it, one Republican, one independent in it. So we’re spending a lot of money to convert. a lot of these people into Republicans, but the Democrats are going door to door and they are signing up people left and right and the Republicans aren’t doing that. And, you know, usually when you lose an election, you know, you get people to really get up and do that. So in the last minute or so, if you have any questions, I know we only have like a minute left. So I could talk for hours, as you know, and we have a lot to talk about.
SPEAKER 17 :
Basically, the good things that have occurred under the Trump administration, they will just slow walk everything and they will try to stop that. And so this is really, really important, the work that you’re doing. So, yes, we have one minute left. How would you like to wrap this up, Steve Stern?
SPEAKER 04 :
So I think we want to get people involved. And I want you know, I answer every email. I’m going to put my phone number down, too. 954-562-5225. I won’t answer it, but leave a message and I’ll call you back because we get a lot of crank calls. And estern1034 at gmail.com if you want to get involved, if you want to watch the next election security call. We have a lot of great people on there all the time. Our last call, we had Steve Gillen on from New York talking about how we got people involved. Linda Sinkowitz, really terrific person. Kerry Lake was supposed to come on. She didn’t make it. Wayne Root came on. We had Colonel Conrad Reynolds, Kimberly Fletcher from Moms for America, Emeril Robinson from Lindell TV, Dr. Frank, Marlee Hornick. And on and on. So we had 20 different people on there. And I could tell you it’s a nightmare to run these things. You’re on the radio. You know what it takes to make sure everybody comes in on time and everybody ends up on time. So thank you very much for having me. Wishing everybody a merry, happy new year. You know, I’m still back at Christmas because I haven’t been able to celebrate too much because I’ve been working around the clock to save the country.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, thank you, Steve Stern. Again, you can find him at sternamerican.com, and his website is stern1054 at gmail.com. Wishing you great success in 2026, Steve Stern, and thank you. And our quote for the end of the show is from John Perry Barlow. He said, hope does not always require probability. And so today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you and God bless America. Stay tuned for our number two.

SPEAKER 07 :
It’s the Kim Munson Show, analyzing the most important stories.
SPEAKER 17 :
The socialization of transportation, education, energy, housing, and water, what it means is that government controls it through rules and regulations.
Indeed. Let’s have a conversation. Welcome to our number two of the Kim Munson Show. Thank you so much for joining us. You each are treasured. You’re valued. You have purpose. Today, strive for excellence. Take care of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your body, my friends. We were made for this moment in history. Thank you to the team. That’s Producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike, Teresa, Amanda, and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting. Happy New Year to you, Producer Joe. Happy New Year, Kim. And we have recorded the shows for tomorrow. Great interviews with Dr. Deborah Scheffel, who is the Dean of Education at Colorado Christian University, hour number one. And then Helen Raleigh, author and speaker, immigrant from China, proud American citizen, is our featured guest in hour number two. And so I think that you’ll really enjoy those shows. And a couple of things. I did want to say thank you to the Harris family for their gold sponsorship of the show. And I also wanted to mention the USMC Memorial Foundation, which they’re doing great work and honoring those that have given their lives or been willing to give their lives for our liberty. And you can make a tax deductible donation today into the year. So you can do that by going to USMC Memorial Foundation dot org. That’s USMC Memorial Foundation dot org. And then also the Center for American Values is the other nonprofit that I highlight on a regular basis. And they have great educational programs for kids K through 12, which is so important. And then also honoring our Medal of Honor recipients by telling their stories, their portraits of valor. And again, you can make a tax-deductible contribution there by going to AmericanValuesCenter.org. That’s AmericanValuesCenter.org. And our word of the day is surveillance. And I chose that because we were talking with Mike Rolick about these flock cameras and surveillance is and our Fourth Amendment is so important. And with all of this technology. It’s bringing all kinds of new questions up, and we’re grappling with those questions, and Mike is doing a great job on that. So the word of the day is surveillance, S-U-R-V-E-I-L-L-A-N-C-E, and this is from the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language. The first definition is close observation of a person or group, especially when under suspicion. Number two, the act of observing or the condition of being observed. And number three, they use the words oversight, watch, inspection, supervision as synonyms of surveillance. And our quote of the day is from John Perry Barlow, born in 1947, died in 2018. And he was a lyricist for the Grateful Dead. I never… really listened to the Grateful Dead. I know a lot of people were big fans, but so I didn’t really know him. But he was born in 1947, died in 2018. And he was an American poet, essayist, cattle rancher, and cyber libertarian and a political activist. But he said this, and I chose this because of surveillance, said relying on the government to protect your privacy is is like asking a peeping Tom to install your window blinds. And this came in on the text line, which I want to hear from you, 720-605-0647, because there’s this perception that local governments cannot be tyrannical. Well, we’re seeing, yes, they can. And me being on city council, I could see how I could see things that happen. But this is so we need to make sure when we talk about local government, the most local of all government is ourselves. And that’s where we need to start. But this came in from one of our listeners has said governments portray themselves as being benevolent, but their true nature is predatory. And it’s just human nature. It gets to that point. That’s why the founders put in place the Constitution to put guardrails, a proper role for government. And that really needs to occur from the federal level all the way to our local level as well. And I can’t believe that today is New Year’s Eve. 2026 is right around the corner. And a great sponsor of the show, we’re beginning our eighth year of solo broadcasting tomorrow. And Lorne Levy, mortgage specialist, has been a sponsor for most of those eight years. And I really appreciate that. Lorne Levy, welcome to the show.
SPEAKER 05 :
Hey, good morning.
SPEAKER 17 :
In some ways, it seems like it’s just yesterday that you and I started working together.
SPEAKER 05 :
It does, because I really have no idea how long it’s been. When you say those numbers, I’m like, wow.
SPEAKER 17 :
I know, because I started solo broadcasting, and it was a few months later that you and I started working together. And you have helped so many people. I remember you sitting in the studio when interest rates were 3% or below on mortgages. And, of course, that was… somewhat manipulated but regardless you got a lot of people into mortgages at a very good rate but you help people no matter where these interest rates are and christmas is over hanukkah is over people may have incurred debt high taxes high fees that’s affecting people but you’ve got some solutions for people in 2026 lauren levy absolutely i was actually hearing something yesterday where the number is coming down you know one of the issues with the housing market and
SPEAKER 05 :
why there hasn’t been as much turnover as people are sitting on really low mortgage rates. And, you know, the, the, the, the percentage has started to come down. It’s still extremely high. I think I heard like 82% of people have that have mortgages are still like over four, I mean, under four. So that’s, that’s pretty amazing, but it was higher. So people move for various reasons or things just happen. And so it’s starting to open up ever so slightly more. But one of the things that we see a lot now, especially around this time of year where the holidays is, people taking on even additional credit card debt because no matter what their finances, everybody wants to have happy holidays, give the kids and grandkids the presents they want and things like that and take advantage of crazy sales and Black Friday stuff. And with that, a lot of times comes additional credit card debt. And these credit card rates are in the 20s. And what we’re doing is helping some people that You know, can take advantage of spreading those payments out or just having an overall lower rate with a six in front of it instead of 20s to get rid of some strangling credit card debt that, quite frankly, it’s hard to pay more than the interest on. And so when we look at someone’s overall household expenditure every month, if we can lower that bill down by hundreds by getting rid of some of those credit card debt, that’s what we’re trying to help people with right now.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, and does it cost anything for people to give you a call on this, to go through that scenario?
SPEAKER 05 :
No, we always promote, you know, call, have a conversation. If you’re having issues, you know, I’ve seen people lately with, you know, I saw one yesterday where this person had $31,000 owed on a credit card, and the payment was, I want to say it was about between $700 and $800 a month was the minimum payment. You take that $31,000 and add it to a mortgage, even if the mortgage payment goes up a little bit, We were still saving them about $500, $600 a month on that money. So you can really help people a lot by taking advantage of the equity that we all have and rolling some of this stuff in to make life easier, to make these payments more manageable on a monthly basis.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and so you’re working over there on the micro level for people, which is so important. And as you know, with a sponsor on the show, we’re working on the macro level to shed light on these taxes and fees and all these things that are making life more expensive for people because of government policy. And so with you working on the micro level, and then we’re over here in the macro questions, we are working diligently so that people… can own property and create wealth for themselves. And so I know you’re dedicated to that in 2026. Lorne Levy, do you have any New Year’s resolutions for 2026?
SPEAKER 05 :
I haven’t really thought about it yet. As you’re aware, I’m starting off 2026 with a surgery. So that’s a resolution to get things in order. And that’s probably get back to a walk-in normal. So that’s probably my resolution. But it’s funny you’d mention the macro level. You know, I’m originally from the Northeast, and I was just reading an article before you picked up about the mayor of Boston maximizing out her rights to raise property taxes on the city of Boston, both commercial and residential. So it’s not just the prices at the grocery store or, you know, they’re coming at us from all angles trying to just. get every dollar they can. And so inflation is real and it’s not just at the, you know, on eggs or things like that. It’s, it’s coming through and what they call fees versus taxes or any way they can get it.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, we are dedicated to getting government back in its proper role where everyday people, middle-class Americans, can thrive and flourish. And I think it’s going to be a big year, Lorne Levy. And I so appreciate your partnership and your sponsorship as we move into 2026 and our 250th birthday. It’s going to be quite a year, I think.
SPEAKER 05 :
I agree. I hope everyone has a great year. And I wish you a happy New Year, Kim, and I will see you early in the year.
SPEAKER 17 :
Absolutely, and prayers for your surgery, a successful surgery and speedy healing on that as well, Lorne Levy. We’ll talk next week.
SPEAKER 05 :
You got it. Thank you so much.
SPEAKER 17 :
And as you can see, I really am blessed to work with amazing people and other great sponsors, the Roger Mangus State Farm Insurance Team. And that plays out in the urban areas with the cost for our fuel and our food. Trent Luce, welcome to the show.
SPEAKER 10 :
This is my 26th year, but thanks for making me old.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, you started when you were five, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
No, I did not. I’m 59. I’m proud to be that 59.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, as of tomorrow, I will be starting my eighth year of solo broadcasting, Trent.
SPEAKER 10 :
Wow. I know. Time just keeps clicking. Before you know it, it’s going to be 2026.
SPEAKER 17 :
Before you know it, that’s for sure. Have you made a New Year’s resolution?
SPEAKER 10 :
No.
SPEAKER 17 :
I haven’t either.
SPEAKER 10 :
Why make something that you know in two weeks is going to be you forgot what you did?
SPEAKER 17 :
Exactly. So I think what we do is we continue on each day in faith, searching for truth and clarity on these issues, which is what you do and I do. Let’s talk about some, I think, good news, and that is you have a piece that you recently have written regarding red meat consumption is trendy, but. So tell us about red meat consumption.
SPEAKER 10 :
Red meat consumption is actually on fire, to be honest, in my lifetime, not just my 26 years of being in the media business. We have never seen a time when people have an appreciation for the nutrient density, that they understand the health benefits and the essential aspects of meat consumption. And we’re, I mean, from a beef, even lamb, let’s talk about lamb first, because it’s one of the most best kept secrets in the United States. We’ve only been at a half a pound per person in lamb consumption. And some of this is obviously due to the migration, legal or illegal, into the country. We’ve doubled lamb consumption per capita. We’ve gone from a half a pound to a pound. But now we’re at 75% of the lamb consumed in the United States. It comes in from another country. And when you think about what you have right there in Denver, it’s one of the few, really one of the three lamb processing facilities left in the United States. So lamb consumption is on the rise, and we have fewer sheep than we’ve ever had, less than 5 million. At one time, we had 70 million sheep in the United States. Beef consumption.
SPEAKER 17 :
Before we go over to beef consumption, I hadn’t really thought about that, but we had that ballot question in Denver that would, in essence, have shut down that lamb processing plant. And so we have seen this assault upon red meat consumption, which is a great protein source for people to be healthy. And has your ear to the ground? Is there going to be another try at something like that here in Colorado or in Denver?
SPEAKER 10 :
Is there going to be another year?
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, is there going to be some ballot question? Or these people normally don’t give up. So are you hearing anything?
SPEAKER 10 :
That’s my point. If there’s another year, there’ll be another try because they are working at, yes. I don’t think I made that very well. But if the sun comes up, they’re going to try it again.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, yeah, okay. So we’ve got to continue to shed light on this and be ahead of the curve on that for sure. So I wanted to just re-mention that. Okay, you were talking about beef.
SPEAKER 10 :
Instead, I’m going to talk about pork.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, okay.
SPEAKER 10 :
They will go to beef. Pork is in a great position for 2026 and beyond. We have fewer breeding numbers of breeding pigs. That would be sows and boars, particularly sows, because it’s the sows that generate the number of pigs. We’re producing 28 billion pounds of pork a year, but we do that with a fewer number of sows, which speaks to the efficiency. And if you look at what pork is selling for at the retail level, it’s actually cheaper than chicken in many cases. And the quality has increased. The quality of pork, and let’s remind ourselves that pork is a red meat. It’s not a white meat like the campaign misled people for so long. Dr. David Newman was my guest this week on Trend on the Loose, and he’s the CEO of the National Pork Board. His entire history is in meat science. In fact, speaking of calling me old, as you did, he’s now the CEO and very well respected in the pork industry throughout this entire country and the world. I first interviewed him as a student in college at the University of Missouri.
SPEAKER 17 :
It does make you feel old, huh?
SPEAKER 10 :
The number of people that I now interview that are in positions of authority that I first interviewed when they were kids, it is incredible. But anyway, his whole history is meat science, and he went through the meat science program at the University of Missouri, then got his Ph.D. at North Dakota State University in Been friends with him through all of that. And the reason I talk about his history in meat science is because there was a time not that long ago, just a few years ago, that particularly the loin was just not a great product. We bred these pigs to be too lean, thinking that the consumer was not going to tolerate fat because we demonize fat. Now we know that fat is absolutely essential, and you have to have the right amount of monounsaturated fat and saturated fat. Both of them play a vital role in human health. And so we’ve seen pork producers all across this country shift to do more to improve the quality of the product that is produced. Now, bacon is always the driver. And while I talked about an affordable, the average cost of pork at retail is looking to be at 1% higher than it has. But 18% higher in bacon and bellies. The driver continues to be bacon and bellies. Bacon comes from the pork belly, just to be clear.
SPEAKER 17 :
And is that because of demand, would you say, for the product?
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes, absolutely, 100%. And the other place where there’s huge growth in demand is the shoulder. And when you go to a pork barbecue restaurant or anything that’s working on a pulled pork, any of that, that all comes from the shoulder. And the driver and the demand for shoulder meats is incredible. The lag and the one that we have the biggest trouble selling is the loin. Pork chops are the toughest thing to get sold. And any day you can walk into any grocery store and buy a whole pork loin bone in for less than $2 a pound. It’s absolutely incredible. And so when you look at what beef is currently bringing, I didn’t say beef was high. I said beef is higher than it had been. Pork is the affordable protein substance now with improved quality and taste, and so that’s absolutely fantastic news for pork producers.
SPEAKER 17 :
So speaking of pork chops, when I really want a comfort meal, I will take pork chops and put them in the crock pot and then put cream of mushroom soup over them, cook it for a long time, and then have it accompanied by mashed potatoes. That is probably my go-to comfort food dinner, and then a vegetable on the side. And it’s pretty easy and pretty delicious.
SPEAKER 10 :
Did you have that as a kid?
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, I did.
SPEAKER 10 :
That’s why it’s your comfort food.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, it’s really tasty also, but I think it’s partly because I had it as a kid.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, that is tasty. But a lot of what you just said in there, not the case because you had it as a kid. So pork was different when you were a kid than it was 20 years ago because of the leanness. People would have to do that with pork chops and cream of mushroom soup 20 years ago because we bred all of the taste and marbling and pH out of them simply to make them leaner. And just as a side note, our personal program here, we’ve been retailing pork since 1995, and we did not pay attention to meat quality. We just assumed that it was there. We made them somewhat leaner, but we didn’t do what the industry as a whole had done. Until the last 15 years, we’ve really focused on, we being Kelly and I, we’ve really focused on meat quality. And you can just take a look at the genomics that are available in certain lines and select certain lines that do have higher quality genomics or meat leading for meat quality or do not have higher quality. And so for six generations… We’ve been selecting the boars that the next generation is going to have that higher quality of eating so that you don’t have to put them in a crock pot and put cream of mushroom soup on them. In fact, I got a picture I’ll send to you during the break that is a customer of ours that buys pigs every year. And he’s in Omaha. He sent me a picture of pork chops and mashed potatoes just yesterday from one of our pigs. So I’ll send that to you. But quality of the meat continues to be a big thing. And it goes back to remember for Thanksgiving, we had that discussion about white meat or dark meat.
SPEAKER 17 :
Right.
SPEAKER 10 :
That’s the whole thing right there. The color determines how much pH and water holding capacity and how juicy that meat is going to be. You can screw it up cooking, no doubt about it. But the baseline is right there.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay. Well, we’re going to continue the discussion with Trent Luce regarding meat consumption. And it’s good for you. It’s so important. It’s a great protein source. And it sounds like it’s really making a comeback as people are starting to understand that. And we have these discussions because of our sponsors. And again, a great organization to support. It’s a great way to say thank you to those that have put on the uniform today to protect our liberties, and some have given their lives for that. And it’s important to remember and honor. And so, again, that’s usmcmemorialfoundation.org. We have Trent Luce on the line. We’re talking about meat consumption. We were talking about pork. You and Kelly are pork producers. Where could people purchase your pork products, Trent Luce?
SPEAKER 10 :
We do not sell. You have to contact us. We do not sell pork by the pieces. We sell it by the half of the whole. So, you know, we could deliver, if somebody wanted to buy a pig or half a pig, we could deliver it to a local butcher shop to have that happen. But we don’t sell it by the piece.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay. And people can contact you by going to your website, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
Correct. Okay.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, next thing, this came in on the text line. It says, regarding the stock market, what is the meaning of pork bellies? Because isn’t that something that’s traded on the market?
SPEAKER 10 :
Pork bellies are just as it seems. I mean, we take 17% of the pig carcass, by the way, is a pork belly. And that’s the literal lining of the stomach, the side of the pig that you see. And that is where bacon originates from. So the pork belly is cured and then sliced and whatever cure they might want to use. So the pork bellies have always been in such demand that they are the only part of the pig that’s actually traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay. Thank you.
SPEAKER 10 :
Otherwise, they trade lean hogs. See, that in itself is a problem. Lard and fat has been so important, particularly pig fat, pork fat, through the history of this country. We actually, USDA provided education and some incentives on farmers producing more lard during World War II because the lard was used for many applications, including bullets.
SPEAKER 17 :
Really?
SPEAKER 10 :
That’s interesting. And guess how they make more lard? I have a USDA pamphlet that says, if you would like your pig to have more lard per animal, here’s what we suggest. I’ll bet you can’t suggest what they wanted you to do and what the pig should eat. What? Skim milk. Skim milk. And higher carbohydrates. What have we been told for the last 50 years that we should consume in the United States? Low fat and less protein. I mean, 1977 is when that all came about. Now, wait, I don’t understand. You guys go the other way.
SPEAKER 17 :
They said for the pig to be fatter, they use skim milk?
SPEAKER 10 :
Skim milk. So provide milk without the fat. Fat does not make you fat. It’s carbohydrates and sugars that make you fat. And so what they were telling farmers to do is to save the cream, get the cream out of the way, use that to make ice cream or butter. It was really butter. Make butter and then take what’s left without the fat and feed it to the pigs to make them fatter.
SPEAKER 17 :
That doesn’t make sense to me. I’m having a disconnect. So what you’re saying is skim milk does not.
SPEAKER 10 :
Correct.
SPEAKER 17 :
Skim milk makes people fatter?
SPEAKER 10 :
Absolutely.
SPEAKER 1 :
100%.
SPEAKER 10 :
Unequivocally. Data is in, and the USDA knew it in the 40s and told people feed their pigs skim milk so that the pigs would get fatter. And carbohydrates, which in the pig world, the carbohydrate we use is corn.
SPEAKER 17 :
Huh. So connect that dot to why Americans are have a weight problem, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
Correct. That’s absolutely it’s it’s easy to figure if you just look at the data.
SPEAKER 17 :
Wow. Okay. This came in from one of our listeners. She says she buys pork from a local farmer in Texas. It’s so good and much better than store-bought. And interestingly, it defrosts faster than store-bought meat. The bacon is amazing. It doesn’t splash as much grease when it cooks, and the bacon grease is clearer after frying the bacon. That is pretty amazing. And so I’m going to check that out from her as well. That’s pretty amazing. So, Trent Luce, looking into 2026. Oh, wait a minute.
SPEAKER 10 :
Before we go on. Oh, okay. Everything about what she said made sense except the defrosting faster. Hmm. That makes me go, hmm. I wonder what’s up with that.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay. Well, I’m sure that you’ll probably go to work on that. Yeah, I am. And if people would like to purchase from you, they can reach out to you at your website. And what is that website, Trent Luce?
SPEAKER 10 :
I don’t know. Go to LooseTalesMedia.com or just search Trent Luce L-O-O-S and you’ll find me.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay. Okay. So let’s talk about, well, let’s look back 2025 because you and I talk about public policy on a regular basis.
SPEAKER 10 :
Did you want to do beef before we do that?
SPEAKER 17 :
Oh, I thought we did. Yeah, let’s do beef.
SPEAKER 10 :
We didn’t do beef. Okay, let’s do beef. We did lamb and we did pork. Beef. And this is, to me, the real story. Beef is higher at the retail grocery level. Nobody argues that. We’re producing 26.5 billion pounds of beef domestically in 2025. which is about steady for where we have been, but we got to the same amount of beef produced by increasing the carcass weight of the animals and feeding them longer. Generating more fat, by the way, because the tallow market is also on fire, kind of like pig fat and lard. So we’re importing 3 billion pounds, just as a side note. So total beef consumption is about 29 billion pounds. Total pork consumption, 28 billion pounds. You can see those numbers add up pretty fast. That’s all the good news. Beef is higher than it was. It’s certainly not too high, particularly when you look at the adjusted inflation numbers. And we’ve talked about the nutrient density of beef and how it’s still – an economical buy, but it’s why pork is in an advantage because you can buy that cheaper than you can beef, even though I’m never going to say beef is too high. But then when you get into the real discussion, and the real discussion is why do we have such a historically low number of beef breeding animals generating fewer number of animals? Because we have the same amount of pounds, but we have fewer animals doing it because we have significantly increased the carcass weights. We have 30, and just in the Great Plains of America, I’m not including the coast, we have 32 million fewer acres being grazed. If you look at the amount of grazing land we’re losing per year, just pasture land, It’s roughly 2 million to 2.1 million acres. Of all farmland used in the United States for producing farm products, 88% of that since 2017, only 2017, just what, nine years now, 88% has been grazing and pasture land. We’re at 18% of the total grassland, pasture land, reduction of what we had in 2017. The problem with the number of animals, everybody wants to blame drought. We have had drought. There’s no doubt about that. Drought has been widespread. We’ve always had drought. And when there are times of better profitability and prices, you have the ability to manage through a drought. People are not managing through a drought anymore because the cattle are high. But one of the other reasons that they’re not managing through the drought anymore is that the land is not available for pasture. This is a big deal, Kim, and it’s really why I wrote that old column, is to talk about the demand for the products because people recognize the essential health aspects that come from meat consumption. But you take a look at sheep, you take a look at cattle, which are really dependent upon pasture land and grazing, and the acres are leaving us.
SPEAKER 17 :
And why is that exactly?
SPEAKER 10 :
Some to urbanization, particularly on the coast, east coast, west coast. You have urbanizing areas. A lot of it is what you and I talk about on a regular basis, and that is the amount of land that’s taken out of production because of easements. In the state of Kansas, and you can get this anywhere, but I have firsthand experience with some of your neighbors in northwest Kansas. you can now get a conservation reserve payment, CRP payment, for grazing land. You do graze those animals on that land, but you graze them at about 50% of what you would normally, and when the state is involved, they are basically telling you with your own land what you’re going to and not do. We’re continuing to take payments and taking land out of all food production areas but 88% of all the land coming out of food production is geared towards grazing animals. To me, this is part of this global agenda to demonize the ruminant animal, which is vital for not only our human health, it’s vital for our freedom and our future, and it’s happening right in front of us. At least in the European countries, they’re open about saying, you’re going to get rid of 33% of your cows. Ireland, I’ve got friends in Ireland I put on the radio or TV, regularly about what’s happening in Ireland, the entire UK. I think most people have saw what happened in Denmark, the Netherlands. The farmers are fighting back. Look what’s happening this week in France. Then France farmers are taking manure and cabbages and dumping it in front of the home of Macron, the prime minister of France, because they are being told to reduce cow numbers. This is a global effort to eliminate these healthy products that enable life.
SPEAKER 17 :
So this is just much more subtle, is that they are paying ranchers and farmers to basically pull their herds by 50%. Am I connecting that dot correctly?
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes. Your number is a little high right now, but yes, you’re absolutely right. And when you cover it up with wind and solar and you do other things with that land, you are displacing grazing acres.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and very possibly ruining the land if you were trying to reclaim that afterwards because there’s so many chemicals in solar panels. And if that leaks onto that soil health, it will really affect the soil health. Gosh, we’ve got so much work to do in 2026. Let’s go to break. I’m talking with Trent Luce. Nebraska and while we are working on shedding light on taxes and fees we also are shedding light on these basics that we’ve taken for granted and that is abundant and affordable food sources and if you take 50% or he said that’s a little high but if you take 50% of your paying farmers and ranchers not to have as many animals out grazing Well, that’s going to make the price go up as well. And so we’ve got to get all this turned around. We’ve got a lot of work to do in 2026, and we are dedicated to continue to shed light on this and work to protect everyday people. And these discussions happen because of our sponsors. We talked with him yesterday, and that’s John Bozen with Bozen Law.

Trent Luce, as we’re talking about this taking land out of production, and Joe during the break said, well, in a way, doesn’t that, is that somewhat kind of price fixing in a way? Because it makes the demand is still there and they’re reducing supply. And I thought that was an interesting question that he posed. How would you address that?
SPEAKER 10 :
It is an interesting question and spot on. The real issue is if you look at, let’s just take Tyson, for example, because we all like to pick on Tyson at the moment. January looks to be a sad month for the city of Lexington, Nebraska. Tyson announced that January 20th will be the last day that they harvest cattle in that facility. And that’s 5,000 head a day that are not going to be in the marketplace. And they also announced that there’s a plant of theirs in Amarillo, Texas, the same day they’re going to take 1,000 out of the market in Amarillo, Texas, in that plant. So that’s 6,000 head of cattle a day that will not be harvested through some facility converting that into edible beef. Why would they do that? Well, if you look at who the largest owner is, and I’m betting I can ask you, Kim, and you’re going to tell me what the answer is. Who’s the largest? It’s publicly traded. It’s a publicly traded company. Who’s the largest investor in Tyson Foods?
SPEAKER 17 :
BlackRock?
SPEAKER 10 :
BlackRock. And if you look at BlackRock’s commitment to eliminating animal agriculture— and their investment and Tyson’s investment in alternative feedstuffs. So the second part to Joe’s observation is, what are they planning us to eat? Well, obviously, they’re trying to create a higher cost of doing business for the consumer and food purchases through their protein substances. So if they have investment in alternative protein, Are they actually angling and trying to shift people, like you said, just over subtly over a period of time to a different supply of food? I 100 percent believe that.
SPEAKER 17 :
What do we do about it?
SPEAKER 10 :
Like all things, you know, it’s interesting. This morning on my rollout broadcast, we went and looked at the. the largest famines in the history of the world where food was not readily available. Nine of the ten largest famines in the history of the world were tyrants like Mao Zedong or Stalin who literally took people into starvation. Even the potato famine of Ireland wasn’t about potato blight. It was about the king and the crown continuing to export food instead of feeding their own people. In every single one of those cases, that came about because people were compliant and just wanted to go along to get along so they didn’t become a target. So what we do about it is that we get very loud. We call out the people who are doing this. And more importantly, you find alternatives, just like your text that you got from the lady who buys pork from Texas. There are options. We, with our dollar, can be very loud, and who is doing business and who is not? In another broadcast this morning, Teresa Platt, who’s in France, there’s a grocery chain that she lives next to that buys from local producers, and there’s a grocery chain that’s maybe closer or the same distance away that is buying from corporate global interests. People started identifying who really had the best interests of the local region in mind, and they are flocking to the store, putting a financial hurt on the other one. We, with our consuming dollars, dictate who’s going to be a part of this system. And every time you buy a package and have it sent to your house from Amazon, you are destroying the local economy.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, and so we’ve got much work to do. So regarding these processing plants, it makes me go back to that ballot question in Denver about getting rid of the land processing plant. Now you have Tyson that is reducing processing plants in Lexington, Nebraska, and you said in Texas as well. The answer then would be that we start to have independents step forward and process this meat, yes?
SPEAKER 10 :
That’s a great theory, yes. But is it realistic? No, it’s not. Well, it depends. Yes, it’s realistic to feed people in the local area that want to be a part of it, but I did the math. 6,000 head a day. We’re just talking about one corporate interest that one day decided they’re going to shut down 6,000 head worth of cattle. Do you know how many? What’s the average butcher shop do on a local processor? I don’t know. A big one. A big one does 100 every two weeks. That’s a big one. How many every two weeks at 100? So that would be, what, 200 a month? That’s a big one. How many 200-a-month processors, local processors, does it take to displace 6,000 head of cattle?
SPEAKER 17 :
So what’s that going to do to the cattle market then?
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, that ultimately is the question. What is it going to do to the cattle market? I mean, they obviously think that it’s going to bring cattle prices down because they were reporting a $420 million loss in the first, what, six months of 2025. At this moment, everybody that I personally know that was going to that plant at Lexington, Tyson has found a hole for them in one of their other facilities. And again, that comes back to the reduction in numbers. The real question is not will this affect direct cattle prices today, but how is it going to affect rebuilding that cow herd? Because the only way we really get back to what we need is to rebuild that cow herd. But now look what we’ve got. We’ve got less processing facilities, which is a hit on the infrastructure of beef production. And as we started talking about here, we have significantly fewer acres that are available to be grazed. So the deck is getting stacked against animal agriculture.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay. Well, we’ve got to continue to shed light on this. I’m going to repeat.
SPEAKER 10 :
The answer is always, and this should be our mission going into 2026, be very discerning about who you spend your money with. Because you’re voting. This is a vote. Every time you spend a dollar. And if you have it shipped in, you’re not voting for local interest to do well. You need to establish those people locally that you can work with. And I get this argument all the time, Kim, but I can’t go find what I need in my local community. I contend you can find it. It’s maybe not going to be as convenient. And we’re put on this hamster wheel so that we’re busy nonstop 24-7 so that we get all of our other needs from what is most convenient people. And the people who are making it most convenient are those global powers that we often feel that we’re fighting against. Quit funding the people trying to kill you. That’s my moral.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay, Trent Luce, we’ve got… And I sent you a picture of these pork chops, and you’ve yet to look at it. What do I have to do?
SPEAKER 17 :
You know what? I did look at it, but I’ve got my brain is just… And they look delicious. And, yeah, thank you. Pork chops, mashed potatoes, that does look like…
SPEAKER 10 :
No crock pot required.
SPEAKER 17 :
No, they look like they’re grilled for sure. Well, Trent Luce, we’ve got much to do in 2026, and I’m hopeful and encouraged, but we’ve got a lot of work to do. So thank you. We will talk with you next week. Wish you and Kelly and the girls all a very happy new year.
SPEAKER 10 :
Thanks, Kim. Happy new year. See you soon.
SPEAKER 17 :
Talk to you. Yeah, we’ll see you in person soon. I know.
SPEAKER 10 :
National answer next week.
SPEAKER 17 :
I can’t believe it. So our quote for the end of the show is from John Perry Barlow. He said, hope does not always require probability. And so today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, have honestly and authentically strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you, and God bless America, and Happy New Year.
SPEAKER 11 :
Young like a new moon rising fierce. Through the rain and lightning. Wandering out into this great unknown. And I don’t want no one to cry. But tell them if I don’t survive.
