SPEAKER 04 :
who are waiting for a family. We’re looking for some really special people to be foster and adoptive parents to these children. Could you be one of them? Listen to David and Dawn’s story.
SPEAKER 13 :
I’d always thought that adopting was a good thing, not for me because I already had four kids, but then I met our son and he just filled my heart with so much joy.
SPEAKER 02 :
So we called social services and asked them, what is the next step? It’s a long, hard process, but it’s a rewarding process.
SPEAKER 13 :
I would say to anybody who’s considering adopting to do it, the people that work at social services are great.

With what is happening down at the statehouse, I used to think that it was above my pay grade to read the legislation. And it’s not.
SPEAKER 22 :
Today’s current opinions and ideas.
SPEAKER 12 :
I see big danger in as much as we will be giving an unelected bureaucrat the power to make rules about what we inject into our bodies.
SPEAKER 22 :
Is it freedom or is it force? Let’s have a conversation.
SPEAKER 12 :
indeed let’s have a conversation and welcome to the kim munson show thank you so much for joining us you’re each treasured you’re valued you have purpose today strive for excellence take care of your heart your soul your mind and your body my friends we were made for this moment in history and thank you to the team that’s producer joe luke rachel zach echo charlie mike theresa amanda and all the people here at crawford broadcasting happy thursday producer joe happy thursday kim And it is Thursday, so that means yesterday was Wednesday. And Hooters Restaurant has five locations, Loveland, Aurora, Lone Tree, Westminster, and and colorado springs and a great place to get together with friends monday through friday for their lunch specials or happy hour and of course a great place to watch all the sporting events as well how i got to know them it’s an important story about freedom and free markets and capitalism and you can find that story at my website that website is kim munson mon son.com while you’re there make sure that you’re signed up for our weekly email newsletter that goes out on Sundays, which highlights all of our upcoming guests, as well as our most recent essays, you can email me at kim at kimmunson.com. Our text line is 720-605-0647. I always want to hear from you. And thank you to all of you who support us. We are an independent voice on an independent station. What that means is, is I purchased my airtime. And so we have full freedom in our guest selection, our subject selection. And so thank you for all of you who support us on that. And as we look at these issues, we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And it’s not compassionate to take other people’s stuff, whether or not it’s their rights, their property, freedom, livelihoods, opportunities, their childhoods. Or their lives via force and force can be a weapon policy, unpredictable in excess of taxation, fear, coercion, government induced inflation, the agenda of the World Economic Forum, the globalist elites. That’s all in there. You’re seeing that play out by legislation from the Colorado State Legislature. And it’s being pushed by the United Nations as well. This Colorado governor, even though he’s trying to opine that he is libertarian, he is not. All of these bureaucracies, all of the stuff that is happening here in Colorado is with his approval. And we are on the total radical side. side of all of these issues, very extreme. And then you see it play out taking people’s property through land use codes, zoning regulations, forest fees, conservation easements, national monument designations, all of these things. And that’s why we really need to keep an eye on what is going on. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to use forest to implement it. And we focus on the issues and the people, but not the personalities. We’re really working to stay out of all of that. Because when you focus on the personalities, you take your eye off the ball of what’s really going on, and that is the issues. And so we try to stay really disciplined on that. Let’s get over here. Our word of the day is capricious, and it is spelled C-A-P-R-I-C-I-O-U-S, and it’s an adjective. It could be characterized by or arising from caprice, impulsive or unpredictable. Number two, governed or characterized by caprice, apt to change suddenly, freakish, whimsical, changeable. Number three, impulsive and unpredictable. And so your word is capricious. I would say with what’s happening with Doge, the Department of Government Efficiency, and Elon Musk, that it is somewhat capricious. We don’t know for sure what’s going to happen next. It is interesting to watch. And so your challenge today is to use capricious in a sentence. Our quote of the day, Jay Davidson is our featured guest here in hour number one. And so I went to Milton Friedman because Jay is a real student of the Austrian School of Economics. And so I thought Milton Friedman would be a great, great one to quote today, The Economist. He was born in 1912. He died in 2006. And he was an economist and statistician. He received the 1976 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for his research on consumption analysis, monetary history and theory, and the complexity of stabilization policy. With George Stigler, Friedman was among the intellectual leaders of the Chicago School of Economics, a neoclassical school of economic thought associated with the work of the faculty at the University of Chicago that rejected Keynesianism in favor of monetarism until the mid-1970s, when it turned to a new classical macroeconomics heavily based on the concept of rational expectations. So that’s quite the resume there. And this is a long one, but I thought it was super interesting as we’re watching our political landscape and as we realize politics is into all of us, so we need to be paying attention. And he said this, he said, I do not believe that the solution to our problem is simply to elect the right people. The important thing is to establish a political climate of opinion which will make it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing unless it is politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing the right people will not do the right thing either or if they try they will shortly be out of office So that is Milton Friedman. And that’s something to really ruminate on today. I thought there’s a lot in that. So our bill of the day is House Bill 25-1120. And it is septic system replacement enterprise. And it’s creating an enterprise zone to implement a loan program in order to replace failing septic systems. And the primary sponsors on this are both Democrats, Representative Leslie Smith. and Senator Dylan Roberts. And we are a no on this at the Colorado Union of Taxpayers. And this is a good time to do our little promo for the Colorado Union of Taxpayers. It is an all-volunteer group and has been in existence since 1976, looking at legislation here in Colorado. Of course, we’ve continued to lurch further and further to the left here in Colorado. And elections really, really do matter. And so we need to continue to work on our elections, which is one of the things that I will be focusing on this year again. But we are a no on this. And this is our comments. We said this bill… It creates the septic replacement, septic system replacement enterprise, which operates as a government owned business, imposing and collecting a fee charged on septic system permits and using the fee revenue to provide loans to replace failing septic systems as a loan program. And then we went on to say this bill stinks because it is another attack on Tabor. which is the formation of a business charging mandatory fees outside of Tabor. And they changed things around so that they could do this when they use an enterprise. And then lastly, and because this is not the proper role of government, our Constitution never contemplated charging some people fees to take care of the septic systems of other people. And so that is House Bill 25-11-20. And just to keep you updated on at this particular point in time, there have been 455 bills that have been introduced down at the Colorado State House. And we will be rating this next set of bills on this weekend with this great team that I work with, all volunteers from the Colorado Union of Taxpayers. And when you see these folks, you want to be sure and say thank you to them because they are really doing an amazing service for the people of Colorado, and they’re all volunteers. And that group is Steve Dorman, Greg Golianski, Russ Haas, Bill Hamill, uh rob knuth john nelson wendy warner marty nielsen ramey johnson mary jansen dave evans corey onus org paula beard and ray beard and we will be again taking positions on this to keep you informed there’s no way that we can reclaim our state unless we know what is going on and one of the best ways to know what is going on is to join us you will receive the email on monday that we send to the legislators and the governor regarding these different pieces of legislation. It only costs $25 to join us. That works out to $2.08 a month, and for that you get hours and hours and hours of volunteer time and analysis. And another group that’s doing some great work over here in this is Sue Moore and her group with Liberty Scorecard, so you can also check all that out as well. There’s some pretty amazing headlines. This first one, I just saw this come across just a few moments ago. This is now the news source here is the Associated Press says Hamas says it will free three more hostages as planned, paving the way to resolve the ceasefire dispute. And it’s pretty remarkable, says Hamas had threatened to delay the next release of captives, accusing Israel of failing to meet its obligations to allow in tents and shelters, among other alleged violations of the truth. Truth. Israel, with the support of U.S. President Donald Trump, has threatened to renew its offensive if hostages were not freed. There was no immediate comment from Israel on Hamas’s announcement, but it should allow the ceasefire to continue for now, though the future of the truce remains in doubt. Hamas said its delegation held talks in Cairo with Egyptian officials and was in contact with Qatar’s prime minister about bringing into Gaza more shelters, medical supplies, fuel supplies. and heavy equipment for clearing rubble it’s key demand in recent days it said in a statement that the mediators had pledged to remove all hurdles this is pretty remarkable and again and the trump ii administration has not been in office for even four weeks now and so it is pretty amazing to see what is happening with all of that another headline i think most all of you are aware of that And that is the Senate confirms Tulsi Gabbard as the next department of, well, they said this is from Washington Examiner, as the next U.S. spy chief. So she will become the director of national intelligence. And the vote fell mostly along party lines where the upper chamber voted 52 to 48 to confirm Gabbard to oversee and coordinate the work of the 18 intelligence agencies in the United States. Senator Mitch McConnell broke with Trump and voted no on that. So Republican Mitch McConnell voted no on Tulsi Gabbard. But despite that, she was confirmed. as the next director of National Intelligence, which I think that is pretty remarkable. She’s a former Democrat and former vice president or vice chairwoman of the Democrat National Committee. So history certainly is being made with all of the things that are occurring here. We have these important discussions because of our sponsors. I know each and every one of them personally and highly recommend them. And one of those is the Roger Mangan State Farm Insurance team. We search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, shouldn’t have to force people to do it. And another headline that I think is amazing, 100 million here, 100 million there. Pretty soon we’re going to be at a billion. Pretty soon we’re going to be at a trillion. And I think that we might get this spending more under control, start to attack this deficit and start to attack this out-of-control debt that we have here in America as well. This is from Fox News. It says Doge slashes over $100 million in DEI funding at the Education Department. And they said that this is a win for every student. And this is these grants that have been going out to different schools to force the training, really, of our educators and the curriculum to force them to be teaching this DEI stuff. And all the DEI stuff has been doing is really trying to divide our children. Of course, I think it’s been pushing the transgender agenda. And we wonder, how does this happen? It’s with all of this money that has been going to all of these different schools. This is certainly going to change things significantly and also start to get a handle on this out-of-control spending that we have been experiencing here in America as well. It seems that they’ve been taking our money and they have been using it to undercut America. And when I say I have added in in the beginning, taking our children’s childhood, this is one of the ways that they have been doing that. So this is a big deal, $100 million. It’s going to change things significantly. It goes on to say here, Doge, the department led by Elon Musk to cut costs within the federal government, announced the termination of 89 DOE contracts totaling $881 million in a post on Monday evening. of the nearly one billion doge identified 101 million that was being used for dei training including teaching educators to help students understand and interrogate the complex histories involved in oppression and help students recognize areas of privilege and power on an individual and collective basis that instead of teaching the great american idea uh where all men are created equal with these rights from god of life liberty pursuit of happiness and giving them the tools are not giving them teaching teaching the tools the tools of being able to read and write and do arithmetic and so our they’ve been focused over there on all of this dei stuff our kids have been falling behind and so this is um there’s a new game in town and that is pretty important And regarding all this DEI stuff, if you really want to understand what is happening in our schools, check out artclubmovie.com, which is the story of Erin Lee and her family regarding their daughter going to what they thought was Art Club. And in fact, it was actually an after-school indoctrination event. And so we are going to continue all these discussions. It happens because of our sponsors. One of those is Karen Levine.

He is the founder, CEO of First American State Bank. First American State Bank is a community bank located right here in the metro area in the tech center and a great sponsor of the show as well. Jay Davidson, welcome.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, thanks, Kim, for having me again. I appreciate it.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and before we get into it, let’s talk a little bit about First American State Bank. It is a really personalized service. Community banks are really helping Main Street, helping people go after their hopes and dreams. And love the fact that with your daughter, Michelle, you are moving into the millennial generation and younger as well as your clients.
SPEAKER 03 :
That’s exactly right. And thank goodness my daughter understands millennials because she is one. And she’s moved us strongly into mobile apps and other things that I know very little about. But the younger generation, you know, in their 40s now and starting their careers or their careers have started and they’re getting kicked off, they have a A MAJOR ADVANTAGE WITH OUR BANK IN THAT WE OFFER A FULL SUITE OF TECHNICAL PRODUCTS AND MOBILE APPS AND SO FORTH. BUT WE ALSO HAVE THAT PERSONNEL CONTACT AT TIMES WHEN YOU NEED IT. IT’S NOT OFTEN, BUT EVERY NOW AND AGAIN YOU MIGHT NEED A LOAN OR MAYBE YOUR BUSINESS IS BORROWING MONEY TO BUY REAL ESTATE. WELL, THAT’S SOMETHING THAT WE CAN DO THAT VERY FEW OTHER BIG BANKS CAN DO. So we’re very proud of our offering to the millennials in this mobile application world that we’re in, and also a full treasury management suite of products.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. Well, I think with the—I’m calling this administration Trump II. I think under Trump II— I think we’re going to see an unleashing of creativity and innovation in our next generations. And certainly capital to do that is important. So First American State Bank would be a great place to have a conversation regarding your hopes, your dreams, your aspirations. And what’s the best way for people to reach you, Jay Davidson?
SPEAKER 03 :
www.fasbank.com, firstamericanstatebank.com, but FAS is easier.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, and that’s FASbank.com. So, Jay Davidson, you are really a student, I would say, of the Austrian School of Economics. Mm-hmm. And that’s really based in capitalism, which is the free exchange of goods, services for value for value. And then also you understand the beauty of the American idea of the sanctity of the individual. I think that we are in the third founding of our country now with Trump to the blazing speed of how they hit the ground running. Really, I think has caught everybody a little by surprise. And certainly the radical activists, Democrats have been on their heels. What’s your thoughts about all this?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I’ve got to say I’ve had my doubts and I’ve expressed them about President Trump because in his first term, he was a little. you know, unthinking, shall I say, irrational at times. I mean, he had the right of capitalistic ideas, and I must say the economy was doing very well under him. But, you know, he scared me a little bit. This time I’m seeing more reticence, more thoughtfulness in President Trump. And then when he got into office, what he did in the first three weeks literally absolutely blew my mind. I mean, it was like a breath of fresh air. And I hope we’ll talk a little bit more about this because there’s some things that he’s doing that are constitutionally very sound and some things he’s doing that are not. So we should talk on both sides of that one. And so I’m impressed. So far, I’m very impressed.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, we really I think we look at these executive orders and he’s Congress is so slow. And I think in some ways by design. But things have gotten out of our constitutional republic and Congress has been so slow. There were executive orders from the Biden administration. So he is doing a lot with executive orders, which I think is necessary. But we do not want to be. ruled by executive orders. We want to get to our constitutional republic.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, and Kim, you’re really hitting on a critical point that I hope President Trump and his advisers will hear. We’re not the only ones speaking this. There is a reason that Congress is slow. There’s a reason that it’s a bicameral Congress. There’s the House of Representatives and the Senate. There’s a reason that they serve different terms and they should be doing different things, but they have certain capabilities that are granted them, strictly granted them, in the Constitution. And anything outside of what is granted in the Constitution is absolutely illegal. It shouldn’t be done. So… When Trump issues executive orders, he’s doing what he can do, what he’s allowed to do under the Constitution as the head of the administrative branch of the government. People will bear with me. There’s the congressional legislative branch, which is Congress, judicial, which ends in the Supreme Court. and the president, which is the administrative side of the government. There are three branches of government that our founding fathers created with very, very wise thought and rational thinking going into that. They said, we just kicked a dictator’s you-know-what, the most powerful man in the world, King George, back in 1776, and we kicked him out, and we don’t want that to happen again. Well, how do we prevent a monarch, a tyrant, a central controlling government from taking control? Well, we separate the powers, and we define them clearly through the Constitution, what they can do and what they can’t do. So the first thing I want to say is that Trump can do most, if not all, of these executive orders. That is within his purview. Whatever the Dems say, or the the lefty communist guys. But the other point that I want to make here, and it’s a bit subtle, so bear with me for just a second as I try to get through this. There is a fourth branch of government that’s kind of metastasized like a cancer. And that fourth branch is the administrative state or the deep state. It’s the bureaucrats, the government employees that have been employed for the majority of their careers and paid by the government, which is actually being paid by us, who have taken on immense powers. And I’ve been railing about the regulatory excesses that exist for a long time, and finally people are getting aware of it. They’re seeing it. So the administrative state or the deep state, the bureaucrats, who should be reporting to the president have gone out on their own. Let’s say it that way. They really have. I mean, they’re unaccounted for. We saw it with the FBI, the DOJ. We saw it with the Department of Education, with FEMA. You know, across the board, we saw these bureaucrats do things that they were not allowed and should not be allowed to do. So when… Trump issues executive orders, he’s telling the administrative state what to do and what not to do. And that’s in his purview. But what the Democrats are missing here is that the fourth estate, the deep state, the administrative state, the bureaucrats have grown way out of proportion to what was allowed in the Constitution. Most of them are absolutely illegal and unconstitutional. So the point I’m trying to make is that the Democrats or the left are going to complain about what Trump is doing because there is a basic difference between the mindsets of the progressives, the far-left people, the communist mentality people, mostly in the Democrat Party, although there’s some in the Republican Party, and we constitutionalists, who believe that government should be very limited, extremely limited, by the edict set forth in the Constitution. And the whole intent of the Constitution was to tell the government what it can do and mostly say what it cannot do. The Constitution doesn’t restrict any of our rights as individual citizens. It doesn’t change anything that we can or can’t do. It does control the government. And with this fourth state, this bureaucratic state, getting so powerful and so independent of its boss, which is the president, I think I’m very encouraged that President Trump and Elon Musk and other people are starting to pull these guys back into reality. And it has to happen. And I haven’t even started talking about the debt situation, spending. how much of the government is taken from GDP from us. And that’s another reason. But the first reason that I like what Trump is doing is that he’s controlling this bureaucratic state, stopping them from spending money and issuing their regulations edicts without concern for the Constitution.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and Jay, you have all these years talked about all of this spending and the deficit spending. And this is creating inflation, of course, inflation. People are feeling squeezed at the grocery store. We’re looking at the price of eggs. And there’s a lot of different factors because of that. But inflation is a component of that. And I would wonder, how could we get this under control? But with Elon Musk and Doge, the Department of Government Efficiency, $56 million here, $56 million there, pretty soon you’re at a billion. Then pretty soon you’re at a trillion. I think they actually might get at least half of this deficit under control within the next few months at this blazing rate of speed that they’re working.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, but I’m pleased that Elon has found $1.5 billion and has started the process of cutting that. That’s a great start, but we’re talking about $36 trillion in debt. So we have a long ways to go. And the government got way too fat, way too big. The bureaucratic state got way too big for way too long a time. So the pain is going to be It’s going to hurt. You know, there’s going to be government services that don’t exist anymore. And so be it. I mean, the point to make here to the left when they start complaining about this is that I don’t mind the federal government. We need it. I think it’s good. But I want my federal government to be absolutely controlled by the Constitution. And it has not been controlled in any way, shape, or form ever since Woodrow Wilson became president over 100 years ago. So now we’re trying to right the wrongs that have occurred here.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and at least we’re making steps towards that because we were on this freight train headed over a cliff. And so at least we’re working on getting the brakes on it and getting this thing turned around. And we have a responsibility to do that not only for ourselves and our families now, but for our next generations. And that’s something that’s also been really special, Jay, about America, is that we’ve always thought about the next generations, the founders first. were willing to put their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor on the table for liberty for the next generations. And that is a tall duty that we have as well. And so we’re at a really unique time in history. And it’s pretty exciting, scary, all kinds of different things, but it’s pretty exciting, Jay Davidson.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, you’re exactly right. I mean, we’re warring our great-grandchildren’s future here with this kind of debt. It’s unconscionable. You would never do that as a you wouldn’t be allowed to do it as a citizen. And it’s totally illegal that the Congress and the government and the presidents have all done this to us. And people got to realize that the government does not make any money. They’re not a profit center. They don’t understand profits. They don’t understand capital. They don’t know how to run a business. I don’t expect them to. They’re not a business. But every piece, every sort of revenue they get comes from you and me, from taxes, everything. And when they put us into debt, they put you and me into debt because we have to pay it back. So they’re not only not spending within the means, within the tax revenue, they’re spending more than the tax revenue. And they’re putting us into debt that we have to pay off. And oh, by the way, if you look at inflation, the dollar that I made 20 years ago is worth a lot more than the dollar I’m making today. So I have to pay more of my dollars for that debt. So they’re trying to absolutely crush the private economy. You and me, capitalism, mom and pop, Main Street. And they’re doing a really good job, and it’s time for it to end. Long past time.
SPEAKER 12 :
It is time for it to end, that’s for sure. I’m talking with Jay Davidson. He is the founder and CEO of First American State Bank, a great sponsor of the show. And another great sponsor of the show is Lorne Levy for Everything Mortgages.
SPEAKER 17 :

SPEAKER 12 :
And welcome back to The Kim Munson Show. Be sure and check out our website. That is KimMunson, M-O-N-S-O-N.com. Sign up for our weekly email newsletter. You can email me at Kim at KimMunson.com as well. Thank you to all of you who support us. We’re an independent voice, and we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you shouldn’t have to force people to do it. Another nonprofit that I support on the show is the Center for American Values, and they are located in Pueblo, Colorado, on the beautiful Riverwalk. And they do several things, honor our Medal of Honor recipients, but have put together great educational programs based on these foundational principles of honor, integrity, and patriotism. The center is nonpolitical. It’s nonpartisan. It just focuses on those kinds of things. You can get more information about the center by going to AmericanValueCenter.org. I’m talking with Jay Davidson, and he is the CEO and founder of First American State Bank, a community bank located right here in the metro area. That website is FASbank.com, so stands for FirstAmericanStateBank.com. And they are doing such great creative products to get us into the next generation, if you will. And really, they focus on relationships. And so I would highly recommend that you check out FASBank.com. So Jay Davidson, Trump 2. I think he wants to not only get rid of this fraud and waste and abuse, and that’s what Elon Musk and Doge, the Department of Government Efficiency, is focused on. But I think he thinks if he can get this economy really humming – that the economic pie will grow, which will, when you have a bigger pie, you can take less tax revenue from each person or entity, but yet you’re going to have more tax revenue because the economy is growing. And that’s the problem with the radical activist leftists, is they don’t see that the pie can ever grow. They see that the pie is finite and that they have to fight over their peace. And so those are two real competing views of an economy.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, you’re very right. And their view is that the government should control the economy. The government is the economy. The government is the nation. The government controls everything. And so they have no problems with bureaucrats issuing orders to us, civilians, citizens, and telling us what to do. They have no problem in taxing us to death. I mean, I’ve asked the Common Sense Institute if they would do a study on the amount of taxes, total taxes we pay, not just federal, which is 37.5%, but state, which is another, what is it, 4.75%, and then regional, local, and sales taxes and so forth. I suspect we’re up around 50% of our income goes to the various government entities around here. And everything that the government takes from us it redistributes to someone else. So what they’re doing through this excessive taxation is robbing from those of us who work for a living, taking from us to pay for votes, basically. And it’s a pretty sad scheme that we’ve allowed them to get away with. You ever think about how, when they’re talking about a federal program, a welfare program, There’s always an individual. It’s always I know a person who or here’s a picture of a mother and a child, which is heartrending. And this this makes my case. And I say, well, yeah, I mean, you know what? I’ll contribute to help that person individually. But you don’t have any right to tell me I have to by taxing me and paying for that. So I think we need to start questioning what our government’s spending the money on. You know, you greeted me when we first got on the line, and you said, how’s that global warming effort working? And, you know, we were laughed about that. I mean, the government has said that it has the capability of changing climate. Now, consider how absolutely patently absurd that is on at least two levels. Number one, the Earth is much more massive than our federal government, which is pretty massive. And number two, climate does change, but it changes because that’s the nature of climate. And they’re kind of integrating pollution and other things in with this whole concept. Well, think about what they’re doing and get real here. They spent trillions of dollars on climate change, destroyed fossil fuel production, I mean, when Trump was president, we were energy independent. And now after four years of Biden, we’re buying a large portion of our oil and gas and energy from overseas at very high prices. This is absurd. And we’re not questioning when the government starts spending all this money. We see the picture of a person and we can relate to that person. We all do. Even bankers who don’t have hearts can relate to that. So I think we should be questioning more what our government is spending the money on. And you’re going to see the lefties go absolutely ballistic. If I could go on for a second here, Kim, or should I? No, no, please do. Okay. The lefty mindset, this is what your question started this whole thing. It was their mindset is the government can do no wrong. And our mindset is that the government can only do wrong. They don’t know how to run our business, and I don’t want them to. I don’t need their help. I’m happy to follow all the laws of the land. I don’t need them telling me what to do. So we are saying, let us be independent in accordance with the edict of the Declaration and the Constitution. There are certain inalienable rights, and you’re transgressing those rights, Mr. Government, with all this debt and spending that you’re doing and taxation that you’re doing and regulation that you’re doing. So the lefties are going to say, oh, my God, you’ve got to make the government bigger and stronger because, as President Woodrow Wilson said back 100 years ago, well, we need that bureaucrat in there because that fellow is not tainted by greed, by capitalism. Well, actually, that didn’t work out too well for any of us. And what I like to say to people is that the other side of the coin is that capitalism is enlightened self-interest. We are all going to do what best suits our own purposes. But if we’re enlightened in what we do, then we can do a better job. And the beauty of capitalism is that so many people, through their own struggle and hard work, can attain a very healthy living and can employ other people who can also obtain a healthy, happy living. And that’s the difference. The mindset is different. It’s either a big government or it’s very restricted government. And I don’t think we should be talking Democrat or Republican anymore because You know, there’s a lot of Republicans that don’t have a clue what I’m saying. There’s a lot of Democrats that have no clue about it. But there’s also Democrats and some Republicans who understand what we’re talking about. So we should be distinguishing between small government, small restricted government and enormous government.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and I think that, as you said, people have been sold tax increases or new government programs because somebody is put out in front of them in need and pulls on people’s heartstrings. But as I’ve really unraveled this and watched this over time is that person that the picture is, maybe they might get some help. with a government program but they’re not the first ones to get the dollars the dollars have to go first of all to the administrative fees for the government and then there’s other government fees and other government fees and yeah maybe the person that they’re holding out there that you think you’re trying to help they might get some money but just think about If that person’s getting 5 cents on the dollar, 10 cents on the dollar of the government money or the money they’re taking from us, why don’t we just cut out the middleman, the government, give them that 10 cents and keep the other 90 and go build our businesses and live our lives?
SPEAKER 03 :
I like that idea. I’m hearing a flat tax there. Yeah.
SPEAKER 12 :
That brings up another thing, taxes and tariffs. We’ve heard talk about getting rid of the income tax. In fact, I was talking to new state Senator John Carson here in Colorado, and I think he’s going to run a bill to get rid of the Colorado income tax. And of course, we’ve got the federal income tax. If we got rid of the income tax, how would we pay for government? How would you answer that question?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, you’d have to reduce government. You can’t, right? I don’t know. I’ve never thought of it that way. Well, what’s the answer, I guess? You should tell me what the answer is.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, I think you just said it, and that is that I think that we reduce the size and scope of government.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER 12 :
So that’s one of the first things. And I love this idea of getting rid of the income tax, and I know that Jared Polis – because of politics, has mentioned that he might support that as well. But what I’ve also said then is, Governor Polis, we need to get rid of all these fees because they come around and they’re backdooring taxes, calling them fees. And whether or not they call it a fee or a tax, they still are dipping into our pockets and taking the money. They’re just calling it a different thing.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, you’re right, 100% right. Yeah, you know, tax rate reductions have a moral argument, and that is that if we reduce the tax revenue, revenue from taxation that the government gets, then the government does have to be smaller. But the real point here, the real moral issue is that in that scenario of reduced tax rates, reduced taxation, The person who earned the money keeps more of it. Rather than working half a year, in my example, for the federal government and keeping only half of what he earns, that’s the wrong formula. And you said it also. When people can keep more of the earnings that they have made, earned, then they will stimulate economic development and private enterprise, and that will increase the gross domestic product, the pie, as you call it, in the nation. And so the revenue that the government gets actually went up, believe it or not, after Trump’s corporate tax cut in his first term because businesses were spending. They were creating new opportunities. That’s what we do in business. Anybody in any business does this. So it’s not just, you know, add a tax and you get so much money. No, you don’t. If you increase tax rates, the revenue, the GDP actually goes down because people find other ways to spend their money. They don’t reproduce it or put it back into their business to grow their business.
SPEAKER 12 :
And that’s an important point. The question, we’ve got just a few minutes left, tariffs. And I used to be of the school of that I didn’t like tariffs whatsoever. I think free trade’s important. But what I learned over the years is, yes, free, fair, and transparent trade is important. but we’ve got other actors in the world that don’t play by the same rules. For example, China was subsidizing their steel industry, selling their substandard steel here in America at lower prices, undercutting our steel industry, and that’s not fair. But Trump is talking tariffs and he’s getting people’s attention. What’s your thoughts on tariffs?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, it’s kind of a race to the bottom. It’s a race to see who can hurt whom the most. I don’t think they’re effective. Well, a true tariff is not effective. I mean, all it does is add burden onto the consumer, right? I mean, if Trump puts a whole 10% tariff on a product from China that I want to buy, I’m paying that, not China. It’s actually… Ridiculous. So what he’s doing is he’s using this as a bargaining ploy to try and bring China in line or Canada or Mexico or whatever. So when he says terrorist, he doesn’t really mean terrorist. He means I’m going to threaten you because I’m a bigger bully than you are and I can hurt you more than you can hurt me. It’s not good economics. I’m sorry. And this is one of the failings of Mr. Trump. uh, you know, if he, if he continues the tariff game, uh, for a long time, I don’t think he cares about tariffs. I think he just uses that as a scare tactic.
SPEAKER 12 :
Right. It’s one of the two. I agree. I think it’s one of the tools in his toolbox to try to get some of the things done from a political standpoint that he wants to get done. So, uh, Jay Davidson, always fascinating, always goes too fast. Your final thought that you’d like to leave with our listeners.
SPEAKER 03 :
You know, I, we’ve, we’ve gone through, um, an incredible paradigm shift recently with the elections. Honestly, it took me by surprise, happy surprise, because the trajectory we’re on is not sustainable. We could not continue spending the money that we’re spending in the government. We cannot continue to increase the taxes and take away from the people that earn it. We can’t do it. I mean, there’s an end point here, and it’s immutable. You can’t get around it. So we’re in this paradigm shift. I would ask Trump and all the Republicans who are in control now, moderate it a little bit, guys. I mean, you know, be wise. Trump is issuing executive orders. Will they last as long as his presidency is there? Why isn’t he out trying to sell the American public on the idea behind this? what he’s trying to do, because what he’s trying to do is actually really good for us. But I’m not hearing the story about why he wants to reduce tax rates or reduce government spending. And if he did, then we could get a congressional act together here and get this done and make it permanent.
SPEAKER 12 :
Which is what we need to do. And in doing so, we reclaim our constitutional republic. Jay Davidson, as always, I learned so much. Thank you so much.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, thank you, Kim. It’s an honor.
SPEAKER 12 :
And our quote for the end of the show is Milton Friedman. He said this, hell hath no fury like a bureaucrat scorned. So my friends today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you. God bless America. And stay tuned for our number two.

It’s the Kim Munson Show, analyzing the most important stories.
SPEAKER 12 :
I find that it takes work to get your brain around these ideas, and it takes work to engage in these conversations.
SPEAKER 22 :
The latest in politics and world affairs.
SPEAKER 12 :
With what is happening down at the statehouse, I used to think that it was above my pay grade to read the legislation, and it’s not.
Indeed, let’s have a conversation and welcome to our number two of the Kim Munson Show. Thank you so much for joining us. You’re each treasured, you’re valued, you have purpose. Today’s drive for excellence. Take care of your heart, your soul, your mind and your body. My friends, we were made for this moment in history. Thank you to the team. That’s producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike, Teresa, Amanda, and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting. It is Thursday. Producer Joe. but it feels like a monday happy thursday kim happy thursday yes live radio and sometimes we do recordings and getting everything to work properly is tricky and in our number one we had a a hiccup regarding jay davidson’s uh interview and we normally pre-record his interviews And somehow we thought we had everything just perfect and it wasn’t. And so that will be fixed for the one to two rebroadcast today in the afternoon. And he is such a wealth of knowledge. You may want to be sure and check that out. The website is Kim Munson, M-O-N-S-O-N dot com. Sign up for our weekly email newsletter there. You can email me at Kim at Kim Munson dot com. Text line is 720-605-0647. Thank you to all of you who support us. We’re an independent voice. We search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues. Through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom, if something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And I do thank Laramie Energy for their gold sponsorship of the show. It is reliable, efficient, affordable, and abundant energy from oil, natural gas, and coal that powers our lives, fuels our hopes and dreams, and empowers us to change our own personal climate. And how’s that global warming working out for all of you right now? We’ve had… Very cold temperatures. And I guess we’re going to warm up and then have some cold temperatures next week. And what what something to be so grateful for is the fact that we can be warm in the winter when it is so cold outside. And that all is so under attack. Regulatory, legislative. here in Colorado to actually try to force to keep the natural gas that we are sitting on here in Colorado. Polis and company are trying to keep that in the ground. When that happens, it increases the prices significantly, which makes a warm home out of reach for some people. And it’s all because of regulatory stuff. And so it’s important that we shed light on that. And so thank you to Laramie Energy for their goal sponsorship of the show. Our word of the day is capricious and it is spelled C-A-P-R-I-C-I-O-U-S. And it could be, it’s an adjective characterized by arising from or subject to caprice, impulsive or unpredictable. Number two, governed or characterized by caprice, apt to change suddenly. It could be freakish, whimsical, changeable. Number three, impulsive and unpredictable, determined by chance, impulse, or whim. I chose it because normally, well, many times when we are on… Fridays, sharing our Medal of Honor citations, sometimes they use the word capricious. And I’ve got to say that that is probably that it’s unpredictable that these Medal of Honor recipients, they were very brave and they were unpredictable and they were taking action to save lives of their their fellow citizens. uh… soldiers and uh… and if there was a good time to mention the center for american values located in pueblo and last night uh… drew dicks and gave a presentation and have to say i’d give a shout out to lucy one of them and one of my friend she was down in pueblo for the presentation of Drew Dick’s The Real Cold War, which you’ll be able to find that on their website, AmericanValuesCenter.org. But then she drove all the way back up to the metro area so that she could join the girls’ group. that I have. And so when she walked in the door, I thought, oh, my gosh. But she was able to make both events. So check out AmericanValueCenter.org for more information on that. But many times in those citations, the word capricious is used. And so that is why I chose that for our word of the day. Our quote of the day is from Milton Friedman. And he was born in 1912, died in 2006. He was an American economist and statistician with the Chicago School of Economics. And this is his quote. He said, I do not believe that the solution to our problem is simply to elect the right people. The important thing is to establish a political climate of opinion, which will make it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing. Unless it is politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing, the right people will not do the right thing either. Or if they try, they will shortly be out of office. So engaging these battle of ideas and kicking the tires on all of this legislation. I shared in the first hour that we had 498 pieces of legislation that has been introduced down at the State House that is out of control. Our bill of the day is House Bill 25-11-20. It’s a septic system replacement enterprise. Whenever you see the word enterprise, that means they’re trying to take that revenue outside of our Colorado taxpayers’ bill of rights, outside of TABOR limits. And again, not asking for our permission for these different fees. And they’re calling it a fee instead of a tax so they can get around Tabor. And then they’ve instituted these enterprise zones again to get around Tabor as well. So you can thank these two Democrat representatives for that. That’s Representative Leslie Smith and Senator Dylan Roberts. And it’s House Bill 25-11-20 concerning the creation of an enterprise to implement a loan program in order to replace failing septic systems. and our Colorado Union of Taxpayers. We are recommending a no vote on this. You can join us by going to coloradotaxpayer.org. It’s just $25, and you will get the… Email that we send to the legislators and the governor on Monday. But this was our comments. It says this bill creates the septic system replacement enterprise, which operates as a government owned business, imposing and collecting a fee charged on septic system permits and using the fee revenue to provide loans to replace failing septic systems. This way. Went on to say this bill stinks because it is another attack on Tabor, the formation of a business charging mandatory fees outside of Tabor. And because of this, it is not the proper role of government. Our Constitution never contemplated charging some people fees to take care of the septic systems of other people. So we are a strong no on that. We have these discussions because I have amazing sponsors. And for everything regarding residential real estate, Karen Levine is the person you want on your side of the table. She’s on the line. Karen Levine, welcome.
SPEAKER 10 :
Good morning, Kim.
SPEAKER 12 :
Great to see you last night.
SPEAKER 10 :
It was a very informative evening.
SPEAKER 12 :
That it was. But when we were doing our mixing and mingling, you had had a fun event that you were involved in last weekend.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes, Goldens and Golden. It is an annual event, generally takes place in February, and the one, I would say one of the more popular breeds of dogs, which are golden retrievers, and the City of Golden come together, and thousands and thousands of golden retrievers and their wannabe friends show up with their owners, or their caregivers and gather in the streets of Golden. And we have booths on one side of Parfait Park, and the Golden Retriever Rescue was there handing out pup cups, which are Dixie cups filled with whipped cream, which makes puppies very, very happy. And I swear, I think it’s the happiest day ever. if not on Earth, at least in Colorado.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, you said there were over 10,000 dogs there, golden retrievers. And that’s one of the nonprofits that you love is the Golden Retriever Rescue Group.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes, Golden Retriever Rescue of Colorado, and they do amazing work rehoming dogs that have been relinquished. from homes that, you know, had found that they couldn’t care for them properly. And so we give them a safe place to be able to relinquish their dogs, and then we prepare those dogs to be able to be rehomed into their forever homes. And the process is pretty amazing. They have some pretty strict guidelines as far as the age of children in the home because some of these dogs have been not well cared for or had very traumatic experiences. so they want to keep the dog and the children safe, fenced backyards. But we met lots and lots of adoptees at the event who have beautiful family members now because they were able to adopt them out of Golden Retriever Rescue.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, it’s amazing work, and I know you have such a heart for Goldens. And they’re really nice dogs. I have somebody very close to me that actually they got their dog from the rescue, Golden Retriever Rescue.
SPEAKER 01 :
They did? Yes.
SPEAKER 12 :
What a, she, I tease them. She is a beautiful dog. I said, she’s the Giselle of golden retrievers. She is just a beautiful dog. And she’s really developed into, she, it took some work initially to raise her. rehome her as well when she was in her rehome but they have done a beautiful job and she is a lovely dog and certainly i’ve been able to watch all this firsthand so of course you do that but you also help people uh maybe rehome and that would be getting a new home or selling their home and so what are what are you seeing uh this week regarding the metro real estate market well the market as it does seasonally is picking up despite our frigid temperatures
SPEAKER 10 :
There is good activity in the market. People are getting out and seeing the new listings and checking out the new inventory. The sentiment is that we have accepted the fact that interest rates are going to stay pretty much where they are, which is around that six and three quarters to seven and a quarter. And as Lorne, I’m sure, talks about when he’s on with you, that date the rates, and marry the home. And so I’m here to help you find that home you want to marry. And or if you’re looking to make a change and would like to sell your home, whether that’s to move out of state, to move down, or to move up, coordinating that double move takes a little bit of a skill set and a knowledge of the marketplace above and beyond just, you know, writing a contract and getting you in a house. And I think my track record proves that I’m pretty… good at doing that. Yes, you are. Getting people from one place to the next and doing it as affordably as possible with the least inconvenience that we can manage based on a lot of moving parts and people.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and so how can people reach you so they can get Karen Levine on their side of the table?
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, give me a call at 303-877-7516.

SPEAKER 12 :
And welcome back to The Kim Munson Show. Check out our website. That is Kim Munson, M-O-N-S-O-N dot com. Sign up for our weekly email newsletter. You can email me at Kim at Kim Munson dot com as well. Thank you to all of you who support us. We’re an independent voice. We search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. It is a Pam Long Thursday. Pam Long is an author here at the Kim Munson Show. We’ll be rolling out her essay this weekend in the newsletter, so make sure that you’re signed up for that. But she’s also the director of Children Health Defense Military Chapter. She’s a graduate at West Point. Ann is an Army veteran of the Medical Service Corps. She served as a medical intelligence officer for the NATO Stabilization Forces. So she really understands all of this stuff that is happening regarding our health. And welcome to the show, Pam Long.
SPEAKER 09 :
Thank you, Kim. It’s not actually Pam Long Thursday. Today is a very historic day. I will say happy RFK Day.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. Is it going to happen? I saw that Tulsi Gabbard was confirmed, but Mitch McConnell did not vote for her. So there’s a lot of politics going on. What’s your ear to the ground telling you?
SPEAKER 09 :
Based on the move yesterday to vote closer, I would be very shocked if RFK Jr. is not confirmed today for Secretary of Health and Human Services under the Trump administration.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. Boy, this is historic. Two Democrats, RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard, both have run for president on the Democrat side. It’s pretty historical what’s happening in our country right now, Pam.
SPEAKER 09 :
It is. And I’ve never seen anything like this in a nomination confirmation process. I mean, probably RFK is the most controversial, most scrutinized nominee in the past 50 years. And I did my homework. I mean, 200,000 tweets were trending at the end of January during the two hearings. to three and a half hour long sessions with senators quoting from his six books, podcasts, interviews, campaign emails, blog posts, and social media from decades as his role in advocacy and environmental health law. I mean, either they really started doing good research or maybe there’s some industries that are helping them try to impede his nomination.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yes. And so what can we learn from these hearings, Pam Long?
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, Robert F. Kennedy filled with poise and intellect and compassion for the health crisis facing Americans. He promised the United States radical transparency if he would be given the privilege of overseeing HHS and the CDC, the NIH, FDA. He would be in control over the largest budget in our federal agencies. And people showed up to support him. We had people overwhelming the switchboards at the Capitol. A thousand people showed up in person to support. just support his nomination, which is unprecedented. And here are the alarming things that RFK Jr. told people about our public health crisis in the United States. His opening remarks, included this alarming wake-up call to the chronic disease epidemic in the United States. 70% of adults are obese. Over 30% of children are overweight or obese. Diabetes is 10 times more prevalent now than it was in the 1960s. Cancer in young people is rising by 1% or 2% a year. Autoimmune issues, neurodevelopmental disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, a long list of mental health disorders are all rising exponentially. The U.S. has the worst health outcomes than all other developed nations and yet spends the most money on health care than all other developed nations. And then for all those people listening to the first hour on economics, in 2024, the U.S. spent $4.8 trillion on health care, which is one-fifth of our GDP. That is a 20% tax on the entire economy. And the CDC reports that the U.S. spends 90% of all healthcare costs on chronic disease. And Kennedy asserted that we cannot be a strong nation when our people are so sick. He went on to say that 77% of our young people do not qualify for military service due to chronic disease. And 60% of our children have some form of chronic disease, highlighting autism, allergies, diabetes, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
SPEAKER 12 :
That is a staggering, these are staggering numbers. And how did we get here, do you think, Pam Long?
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, Kennedy pointed to part of the problem. The main problem is that most of, 9 out of 10 of our health care dollars go to fund research on infectious disease, not chronic disease. And for example, we in our NIH budget, we have about $1 billion funding the root cause of this obesity epidemic. out of a $42 billion budget. And after these hearings, there have been congressional hearings going line item through this NIH research, which has been under Fauci’s watch for decades. And we are finding the most bizarre, troublesome, misguided research, such as injecting animals with aborted fetal tissue, Studies on whether transgender animals can survive drug overdoses. Studies on whether obese animals can survive wildfire smoke. I would make the same argument as Kennedy that we have been spending billions of dollars on research that does not get to the root cause of our chronic disease epidemic, where 92% of Americans are dying from chronic disease. That is a problem. And as Kennedy said, you know, we’ve been arguing in our politics for decades about who pays for health care, like whether it’s people, whether it’s the insurance networks, whether it’s the government. But we’re just rearranging the chairs on the Titanic. We are not asking the right questions. Why do we have a chronic disease epidemic? The root cause of any epidemic is environmental toxins, not just one, but many. And we have not been researching those toxins while Medicaid programs have, you know, grown 60%, you know, in the last years. It’s a huge part of our budget, and we’re not asking the right questions, and we’re not researching the root causes.
SPEAKER 12 :
So Big Pharma probably does not want him as the Health and Human Services Secretary because with chronic disease, many times the way that’s treated is with pharmaceuticals, right?
SPEAKER 09 :
Correct. Pharmaceuticals. We have a culture, and this was brought out, I think, by Senator Tuberville, that believes you can eat anything you want, inject yourself with drugs or take some pills, and you’re going to be healthy. And that is simply not the case. That is urban legend that you can eat whatever you want, processed foods filled with chemicals. you know, microplastics, pesticides with PFAS and fluoride in our drinking water and food dyes. You can have all these chemicals in our foods, processed foods and not exercise and take a pill or take a drug, inject a drug and you’ll be healthy. And that is irresponsible. And we are reaping what we have sown. We have a nation that is the sickest among all developed nations.
SPEAKER 12 :
But yet we’re spending all of this money. It’s kind of like the Green New Deal. There’s a lot of green, obviously, that is moving around in this industry. And you mentioned something regarding who pays. And if people… were held more responsible regarding their, you know, when they go to the doctor, that they have more skin in the game instead of insurance just paying it, that it was in their best interest they might get lower rates or it would affect them in their own pocketbooks. I think that that’s a place that we should probably start as well as having people be more responsible for for, I guess, the health care and medical choices that they make, yes?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yes, Kennedy, I absolutely agree with you, and he did. He was in exchange with Bernie Sanders, who said health care is a universal right. You know, advocating for the government should be paying everyone’s health care bills, and Kennedy pushed back and said, you know, for the person who, example, was a chain smoker, for his or her entire life. Should we be paying their medical bills or do they have some personal responsibility towards health? And what, what can we do? There’s a big concern, not the main concern, which I’ll get to, but there is a big concern with Democrats with all these cuts that there will be cuts to Medicare and Medicaid. I think those are reasonable cuts. but there should be some personal responsibility in health, and we need to look at nutrition, and we need to educate the public, but also that, you know, we have a fee-based system, Kennedy discussed this, and that a value-based system in healthcare, which would give financial incentives to healthcare providers who have good outcomes. Right now, you get the same. Each provider, whether you have good health outcomes or not, gets the same fee. And I think Democrats are really concerned about any potential cuts in the Trump administration to Medicare and Medicaid because we are rewarding bad outcomes.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, so let’s continue the discussion. And this is a really important piece that we’ll publish this weekend in our newsletter, and then it will be on the website as well. But it is Revelations in the RFK Jr. Confirmation Hearings for HHS Secretary by Pam Long. We’re talking about taking care of yourself and certainly a great protein source, premium product. Their only preservative is basically the freezer is Lavaca Meat Company, and they are located at the corner of Nevada and Maine in Old Littleton.
SPEAKER 14 :
Lavaca Meat Company takes great pride in selling only the best. Lavaca Meat Company is a third generation family owned business with its roots in Eastern Colorado. Many individuals are concerned about the dangers of highly processed foods, so a product that is 100% wholesome makes sense. Lavaca Meat Company’s only preservative is a freezer. Wrapped in cryovac packaging, Lavaca has a very high food safety process. Lavaca is located at the corner of Maine and Nevada in Old Littleton. For a steakhouse experience at home, visit Lavaca in person or shop online at LavacaMeat.com. Lavaca Meat Company, only the best. Again, that’s LavacaMeat.com.

And also the USMC Memorial Foundation is a nonprofit that I love and support, and they are working to raise the money for the remodel of the official Marine Memorial, which is right here in Colorado. And make sure that you have the USMC Memorial Foundation in your giving in 2025. And you can see all that they’re doing by going to USMCMemorialFoundation.org. That is USMCMemorialFoundation.org. So Pam Long, I watched some of the hearings of JFK. I couldn’t watch all of it because I felt that there was really attacks and posturing. I felt like he was kind of walking back his view on mandatory vaccines. What do you think about that?
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, what Americans saw and witnessed in this hearing is the preferred science and the ignored science. And they got into an autism debate on the second day about this assertion that vaccines do not cause autism, right? And so Senator Bill Cassidy, the doctor, referenced the study with 1.2 million children, right, which sounds impressive. which concluded that vaccines do not cause autism. But he didn’t say that study only examined one vaccine, the MMR, and one ingredient, dimerisol. And then Kennedy countered and referenced the Mawson study, which I’ll link in my article. which it’s a 2025 study that found a strong correlation between autism spectrum disorders and vaccinated children on the current 72 doses of vaccines on the schedule when compared to unvaccinated children based out of the Florida Medicaid program. It’s a big data set. So both Cassidy and Kennedy alluded to their, their studies being, you know, flawed in their methodology and, And this is the heart of the autism debate. Which studies do we trust? Which ones are flawed? Which ones have conflicts of interest? And ultimately, Kennedy did agree to support our vaccine program. He has always said that he is for informed consent and good safety science in the vaccine program. And what is informed consent? It requires that consumers are told both the benefits and the risk of the drug and that they can make their own choices about I would argue that Kennedy gets a lot of attacks because he points out areas where there are adverse reactions that we’re not telling the public that there are risks. I mean, we’ve known since 2006 that the flu shot does not decrease your risk of influenza. And it’s especially harmful in the elderly that it actually raises your risk of mortality, but we are not telling the public that in fact, Pharma controls marketing down to the little screen at the gas pump at our grocery stores at King Super that say, get your flu shot here today. It doesn’t tell you that, oh, you know, it might not be recommended for your age demographic and it might actually raise your risk for mortality.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well… So, well, a couple of things. First thing, the 72 doses of vaccines for our children and parents want to be good parents. And so they listen to their pediatrician, they listen to their doctor. And so many of pediatricians, doctors look to the CDC for their recommended schedule. And I’m concerned about these 72 doses. And but yet young people, many young people just look to their doctor as the authority that the doctor looks to the CDC. And and I know people that that say that, yes, their child after a vaccine did get autism. That is they have correlated the two personally. So do you think that we’re going to get this vaccine schedule walked back if RFK Jr. is confirmed?
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, he has promised the American people radical transparency, and I’m here for it. And so are thousands of other maha moms make America healthy again. And I think our health agencies are running scared, our congressmen who get millions of dollars for from pharmaceutical companies and chemical companies. I think they are running scared. And, you know, there was a beautiful speech by Senator Rand Paul addressing this. He said, we believe in submission, not science. Right. And he gave examples. He mentioned that giving the hep B vaccine, a disease for drug users and prostitutes to newborns is not based on science. Right. And he declared that giving the COVID vaccine to healthy children who are not at risk, not at the same risk as the elderly for respiratory fatalities, is not based on science. And he declared, we don’t know what causes autism. But the current immunization schedule includes 72 doses of vaccines, and we should be open to questioning the scientific consensus because there are no double-blind placebo-controlled studies. That is the gold standard of research, measuring the effects of 72 doses and their cumulative effect in the developmental stages of our children.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. This is making progress, I think, on this. The next question, I watched a little bit of the interaction between Bernie Sanders and RFK Jr. and the accusation regarding taking money from pharmaceuticals. What’s your comments on that, Pam Long?
SPEAKER 09 :
Some of this just, I mean, was outright bizarre. There was a moment where Sanders asked the softball question. And I mean, I laughed out loud that, will you take money from drug companies? And, and RFK, you know, look like astounded at the question. He said, me, you know, who me? I don’t think the drug companies want to give me money. I mean, it was just, There is so much emotion and irrational behavior in these attacks that it just derailed. I mean, the whole first hearing was constant pejoratives. You know, how can you live with yourself? I can’t believe someone would ask him that. You know, you’re anti-vaccine, anti-science, conspiracy theorist. you know they made you know they blamed him for a measles outbreak in samoa i mean can we i mean can we really blame one human being for a measles outbreak in another country i don’t think we can i mean we just you know we we hit both guardrails of accusing him one day of you know being crazy and he he defended himself well when he was allowed to actually answer in most cases these were just five-minute rants from senators, and he was told, answer yes or no, to a long rant that’s not a yes or no answer. But when he was able to answer, the American public saw his intellect and his decades of experience with examining environmental toxins and knowledge on our health agencies beyond what they probably ever expected.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, fascinating. Next question. And you’ve addressed this in your essay. And you’ve said that Democrats prioritize the abortion pill in health care. And I really find it so interesting that those that are really advocates for aborting babies, that they call that reproductive rights, but they’re not really reproducing anything because they’re actually aborting, killing the baby, right? But the words are, language is so important. And so address this. What do you think about that?
SPEAKER 09 :
I think – well, first let me preface what I’m about to say, that I had people texting me during the hearing saying, you know, I have a friend, they’re lifelong Democrats, and they are watching this hearing, and they know that their children who are also watching will now be lifelong Republicans. Based on the behavior of these Democrats, I was taking notes from each senator, and I – every – Nearly every single Democratic senator made a demand to protect the abortion pill. This was so disturbing on so many levels. You have Robert F. Kennedy Jr. sounding the alarm that we have a chronic health disease epidemic. And then you have Democrats completely ignoring that problem, which they have been for decades. in pushing the abortion pill. And the bigger concern, or I shouldn’t say the bigger concern, you know, is the Republicans’ concern is that this is a tactic and strategy, this abortion pill, to mail it to states that have abortion law, you know, to violate abortion laws in certain states. And And, you know, we have these Democrats saying, I don’t want you to bias the research or inform people on the adverse effects of this drug. And it really is disturbing to hear Democrats prioritize an abortion pill as their main priority for health and human services.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and regarding the abortion pill is that there can be complications with that. And the fact that a young woman would take that, not realizing there’s complications, be alone. and start to have these complications from this, it doesn’t seem to me like they really care about the woman, obviously not the baby either, but it seems like this priority is really more abortion, not the care of these human beings, at least from what I can tell, Pam.
SPEAKER 09 :
Kim, this is malpractice. When you have someone mailing you drugs that’s not your provider, not supervising you, no access to any follow-up care, a drug in the mail, in most cases, and as this would be provided to women, is malpractice. And, you know, I think Republicans would be very surprised if they listened to these hearings. Mr. Kennedy explaining, you know, that abortion is a tragedy. Every abortion is a tragedy. He said that several times and that aborted fetal cells and aborted fetal tissue is not needed in medical research. He also explained that it’s not reasonable for any provider. to provide care that they are morally opposed to. And this is for both the provider and the patient. And he was referring to abortions and gender-affirming care. And this is why there is so much bipartisan support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
SPEAKER 12 :
So you think he will be confirmed today? This really will be historic, Pam Long.
SPEAKER 09 :
There will be much celebrating today in the United States if you’ve been following health and it is your main issue. And I would tell Coloradans, our unaffiliated voters, which make up somewhere between 30 to 40 percent of our voting base, medical freedom and getting the government out of coercive drug and vaccine mandates is one of their top issues. They are paying attention to this confirmation process.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, well, we’re going to continue the discussion with Pam Long regarding RFK Jr., this confirmation hearing, and also the text line has been busy with a lot of the different things that we’ve talked about and would love to have Pam comment on those as well. They had a great event yesterday evening with Drew Dix, co-founder of the center. He’s a recipient at the Medal of Honor for actions he took during the Vietnam War, but he was also stationed in Greenland. And so the presentation is The Real Cold War. And that is on their website as well. So you can access that at AmericanValueCenter.org. That’s AmericanValueCenter.org. On the text line, Eric Manning says, Hey, Kim, I’m driving in eight degrees right now. Global warming weather. Toasty. He’s absolutely right. Pam Long, we will be publishing your piece this weekend in the newsletter. Make sure you’re signed up for that newsletter by signing up at my website. The title is Revelations in the RFK Jr. Confirmation Hearings for HHS Secretary. Pam’s ear to the ground as he’s going to be confirmed today, so stay tuned. Let’s move over to a couple of things. Colorado. And House Bill 1027, we’ve talked about this. This is a bill regarding disease control. You flagged me on this initially. And I know you were very disappointed that we had two new Republican legislators on the Health and Human Services. Let’s see. That’s a different committee. Well, it’s the Health Committee. And that they had voted to get that out of out of committee. But this 1027 is really a long ball bill, I would say, for the next pandemic is from what I can gather. What do you think?
SPEAKER 09 :
Right. 1027 CDPHE is asking for to remove the governor’s expert emergency epidemic response committee and to replace it by giving sole authority to CDPHE and the governor to decide when an emergency starts, when it ends, and what the standards of care would be during that emergency, which is vaguely defined as a crisis. There was an amendment added in the House floor to include emergency bioterrorism. So an unelected bureaucrat, the director of CDPHE, would rule without inputs from parents, from school administrators, from businesses, and without liability. So it’s COVID 2.0 set up with just more authority when we need more input from society. Because remember, CDPHE decided that all of us were non-essential to public health during COVID.
SPEAKER 12 :
So yesterday I was talking with Trent Luce regarding bird flu. And I was thinking about it all day. They’re saying that this bird flu is infecting domestic birds. And I’m thinking, well, how can this happen exactly today? If, in fact, they have said it’s been caused, though, by migratory birds, I drove by a golf course yesterday, and there were geese everywhere, and I didn’t see one dead goose. And I just got to think that if this bird flu is the next bad thing, it just seems like I would see dead birds everywhere. Am I too simplistic on this?
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, okay. There’s a lot to unpack here, but in essence, I personally don’t believe that animal or bird diseases can jump to humans without some type of like Frankenstein gain of function science, which we are conducting here at CSU and the new multimillion dollar NIH bat lab. I’m also a bird lover and I own chickens and common senses. If, you know, you butcher an animal and it looks sick, I would not eat it, you know. So there’s so much more I could say here, but I’m not worried about getting a disease from an animal or a bird. And I’m also not going to eat birds or animals that look diseased of any sort, whether it’s bird flu. I will say the CDC did give instructions to hospitals to to start testing humans for bird flu. And that is a red flag, danger, danger. We’re going down the same path where we did not make our health agencies accountable for everything they did during COVID. So they are set up to have a bird flu pandemic all over again.
SPEAKER 12 :
So what should we be doing about that, Pam Long?
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, for 1027, the people, I mean, we need parents, schools, businesses showing up. It will move now, it passed the House floor, over to the Senate and giving, backing up our senators who will be on the floor making arguments against this bill, which did not go through any type of public stakeholder process or per our Administrative Procedures Act. It gives more power to the state, which goes against the The reversal of, it escapes me, the Chevron doctrine, which says the Supreme Court said we should be giving more power to local control in essence. So we should be making strong economic arguments against giving CDP power because the state health department already decided and showed you during COVID that it will shut everyone down. We will lose businesses. They will close 30%, 38% of businesses closed permanently during COVID in Colorado. And it did create a mental health crisis with just staggering numbers on our young people on antidepressants is up 60% since 2020. And suicides are up exponentially. There has been no accountability for allegedly saving us all from, you know, a virus that 99% of us survived just fine without any help from the state.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. Well, in this 1027, as you mentioned, it’s danger, danger. And what I’ve seen is these radical activists, extremists are playing long ball. So while we are celebrating many of the things that are happening at the federal level, at the local county and state level, the extremists are doubling down. And that’s why we really need to be paying attention to this. And so I appreciate you flagging me on that particular bill. And then the Colorado Union of Taxpayers did I think had an eloquent reasoning that we published on that is why we recommend a no vote on that, Pam.
SPEAKER 09 :
Thank you so much for that support from Cut, Kim.
SPEAKER 12 :
So let’s move over to this septic system replacement enterprise. This is House Bill 1120, which was our bill of the day. Sponsors are Democrats, Representative Leslie Smith and Senator Dylan Roberts. And Jenny has said and so basically they’re setting up an enterprise, which that means it’s outside of our taper limits. So it’s a run around the will of the people right there. And then they’re going to charge additional fees, permit fees, for people that have septic systems. So that would be a lot of people in our rural areas, which are typically property rights. They have their property, their septic system. So they’re going to get dinged with a fee. then that fee will go to the state, and the state will have a loan program for people that need to repair their failing septic system. That seems like that should be the responsibility of the property owner regarding their own specific septic system. And to ding other people for that, again, this is, again, unfair. And it is moving more towards Marxism, communism. It’s going to make it more expensive for people to have their own property. What’s your thoughts on this, Pam Long?
SPEAKER 09 :
I’m in rural Colorado. Everyone in my area has a septic tank. I’m paying $6,000 a year. Mine went up about 50% last year for property tax. I’m already paying my fair share. And so the thought of some fee, I don’t know what the fee is. Will it be $1,000 when I need to make a very expensive payment? repair to a septic tank. Like that might be make or break that my decision, if I can afford to replace my septic tank, I know a well repair last year cost me $4,000. So if you tack on a significant financial burden for some permit to fix what is mine, what I own, I’m already paying taxes on my property in excess. I feel like you might see a revolt here where I live in Douglas County on this particular bill, 1120. Yeah.
SPEAKER 12 :
But a lot of people don’t realize what is going on because with CUT, with Colorado Union of Taxpayers, I just mentioned as of this morning, there’s 455 bills that have been introduced down at the statehouse. This is a bill mill. This is staggering. And Colorado is, I think, at the tip of the spear of all this onerous stuff. It’s really starting to grind our economy to a halt. and we really need to be engaged, and that’s really what you’re encouraging people to do on a regular basis, Pam Long.
SPEAKER 09 :
That’s right. I tell people all the time, pick that one issue that keeps you up at night and then engage at the Capitol, whether it’s in person or online. You have access every day to testify online against the bill. When I testified against the health department the last couple of weeks, you know, there’s maybe five people there. And like you said, they are running a long game. They are already setting up their power and control for themselves. The next, you know, bird flu crisis, all they have to do is call it a crisis or an emergency and they can suspend all of our constitutional rights and that should keep everyone awake at night.
SPEAKER 12 :
It really should keep everyone awake at night. And Pam Long, I so appreciate all the information that you share with all of us and keeping us informed. Out of 455 bills, a lot of them can sneak through that are very, very bad. And again, many of them, they’re playing, the extremists are playing the long ball, trying to move us towards Marxism and communism and communism. Love this. One of our listeners said, this is the socialization of septic systems. And they’re spot on on that. So Pam Long, keep up the great work. Stay in touch. Be sure you’re signed up for our newsletter because we’re going to be rolling her essay out this weekend regarding the RFK Jr. hearings. And stay tuned. It looks like he’s going to be confirmed today. So Pam Long, thank you for all that you do. Thank you, Kim. Our quote for the end of the show is Milton Friedman. He says, hell hath no fury like a bureaucrat scorned. So today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you, and God bless America.
SPEAKER 20 :
like a new moon rising fierce through the rain and lightning wandering out into this great unknown and i don’t want no one to cry but tell them if i don’t serve
