Let’s first of all jump into our word of the day, and it’s perfidy. It’s spelled P-E-R-F-I-D-Y. And it’s a good word. You should be able to use that in a sentence today. It could be a deliberate breach of faith, calculated violation of trust or treachery, the act or an instance of treachery, or the act of violating faith or allegiance, violation of a promise or vow, or of trust reposed, faithlessness and treachery. And I think we can use that word perfidy as we look, as we unpack this. the headline that we’re going to be talking with Dr. James Lyons-Weiler about in the third and fourth segment in this hour. He is the founder of IPAC-EDU, which is the Institute for Pure and Applied Knowledge. You can find him at Popular Rationalism at Substack as well. But we’ll talk about this piece that he’s written recently regarding a leaked memo from the well, we’ll get into the details, regarding the plot to get JFK. So you will not want to miss that. And I think you can use the word perfidy regarding this particular plot. So, again, that’s P-E-R-F-I-D-Y. Your challenge is to use that in a sentence today. And I love this quote from Will Rogers. As our quote of the day, Will Rogers says, Was born in 1879, died in 1935. He was an American vaudeville performer, actor, and humorous social commentator. He was born as a citizen of the Cherokee Nation in the Indian Territory, now known as Oklahoma. And he’s known as Oklahoma’s favorite son. He was an entertainer and humorist, traveled around the world three times, made 71 films, and wrote more than 4,000 nationally syndicated newspaper columns. That’s saying something. By the mid-1930s, he was hugely popular in the United States for his leading political wit and was the highest paid of Hollywood film stars. He died in 1935 with aviator Wiley Post when their small airplane crashed on takeoff from a lagoon near Point Barrow in northern Alaska. But he said this. He said, I know that worrying works because none of the stuff I worried about has ever happened. And that is Will Rogers. I was reading a recent piece that Department of Energy Secretary Kiss-Wright has – if things continue the way they’re headed – we are looking at significant blackouts for people in our country. And so just think about people that work from home. They rely on this electricity so that they’re able to do their jobs and go after their hopes and dreams. And so all this is under regulatory and legislative attack. We all agree we must be good stewards of our planet and But check out the documentary, A Climate Conversation, which is the brainchild of Walt Johnson. He and his wife, Ramey, took money out of their retirement account to fund this very important documentary. Asked me to be the moderator of the documentary. And it’s people asking if we get a lot of pushback on it. I said we don’t because it’s very well researched and it’s very reasonable and persuasive. And so check that out. You can watch it for free at climateconversation.com. We’ve done an amazing podcast series with scientists and experts in the field. And so check that out because it’s important that we have these conversations about honest conversations about what’s going on out there. One of the first things that we’ve been going through each day is from the WhiteHouse.gov, the 50 wins in the one big, beautiful bill. Today, we’ll highlight number 36 through 40. And it says, first of all, this number 36, it provides funding to rebuild America’s military, including nine plus billion to improve quality of life for our service members. $20-plus billion to bolster U.S. munitions production, and $12-plus billion to modernize our nuclear arsenal. Number 37 expands health savings accounts to give Americans greater choice and flexibility in how they spend their money. Number 38, it gives $10,000 bonuses annually over the next four years to Border Patrol and ICE agents on the front lines. Number 39, it incentivizes scholarships that empower American families and students to choose the education that best fits their grants. I love incentivizes scholarships. Again, I don’t think government should be involved in that, but I like the way they’re headed on that. And number four, it repeals Democrats’ insane attack on the gig economy, ending the requirement that Venmo, PayPal, and other gig transactions over $600 be reported to the IRS. I do love that. So those are number 36 through 40 in the 50 wins in the one big beautiful bill. The next headline that I wanted to hit is, This is pretty crazy to me. Governor Polis wants to build a $29 million pedestrian bridge from the Capitol across the street. And so he said that he’s putting this up. This is by Kyle Clark and Angela Case at KUSA says that he is putting this up to an online vote. And this is, this is, This is democracy at its worst. We are not a democracy. We are a constitutional republic with representative government. And so Polis, who has a whole overspending problem and Colorado is going to be big time in the hole because they are looking to the federal government to give them money for Medicaid. And then also there was a whole bunch of COVID money that came in that’s no longer there. is now, I think this is just a perfect example of these pet projects. So the poll has told Next Kyle Clark that he hopes the online survey will give his administration a signal of public sentiment to either build or scrap the project. We are trying to figure out whether people want to see a pedestrian bridge at the Capitol. I can’t tell if you’re looking for justification or looking for an escape route, Clark said. He says, well, I’m hoping it’s clear one way or the other, Polis said, adding that he hoped the results are definitive. So what can very much happen with these surveys is, first of all, everyday people are not looking for it. So they’re not weighing in. They’re too busy taking care of their families, their jobs. So you’ll have special interests that will flood the survey. Then what will happen is these PBIs, politicians, bureaucrats, interested parties, governor polls, will trot that out and say, oh, this online survey said that we need to spend this $29.5 million for this pedestrian bridge, and they’ll hide behind that. It’s good to have you as well. And we had our board meeting on Monday night. And I really do feel like we are sitting around a table of patriots, these volunteers that are working to protect the taxpayer, which is all of us. If you buy anything in Colorado, you pay sales tax, so you are immediately a taxpayer. And, Rob, I want to give a shout-out to this group so that people can say thank you when they see them. That is Steve Dorman, Greg Golianski, Russ Host, Bill Hamel, you, Rob Knuth, John Nelson, Wendy Warner, Marty Nielsen, Ramey Johnson, Mary Jansen, Dave Evans, Corey Onizorg, Paula Beard, and Ray Beard. It really is a tremendous group of volunteers, Rob.

You know, and it really is an honor to serve with each one of these good people. I guess we all bring something to the table from our own life perspectives, and I just feel privileged to be able to be around with them and to have you as our leader Kim and we’re very appreciative for all your commitment and your hard work and just wanted to let people know too that of course most everybody listens to you, you wear many hats and you’re involved in everything but right now you’ve been sacrificing time this week with family in town to spend time with us at CUT and doing your normal activities and want to give extra kudos to you for being a great American mother and entrepreneur and leader in this fight to save our freedoms as best we can and reverse the tide here in Colorado.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, thank you. Thank you, Rob. We have a duty to do these things because we’ve been given a great gift from our founding. So there’s going to be, we think, a special session. It’s not been scheduled yet. But what does your ear to the ground say about Polis calling a special session for the legislature?
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, as we discussed on Monday evening and then while we’re around the table, I went ahead and sent a text to our minority leader, Rose Pugliese, and shout out to her for yeoman task and doing what she can to try to stem the tide with a mighty minority that we’re in, you know, as far as the party that’s pushing back on this. and fighting for the taxpayers but uh she was waiting to hear back from the government governor as minority leader she didn’t have a confirmation yet and this was as of i guess the latest was yesterday morning when we were going back and forth as far as trying to figure out what’s coming down the pike and she still didn’t know but once she found out she would let me know and i’ll certainly share it with the rest of us so we know kind of where we’re standing I’ve just been doing some review of what, you know, Tabor came out as back in 1992. And I remember at the time being in the business and industry that I’m in that certain ones were split on it in our industry because people that had, you know, you refer to the PBI, politicians, bureaucrats, and interested parties. And I remember that people in our fleet department were strongly against it because they had big contracts with the state and they didn’t want anything to mess up that gravy trade. And some of the rest of us were opposed or for Tabor because of different reasons, you know, protecting the taxpayer. So it’s just something you never get away from people that are myopic and look at just their small perspective, want to create issues for the rest of the populace because they have their hand in the till, so to speak.
SPEAKER 19 :
Right, and that’s why I call them PBIs, these politicians, bureaucrats, and interested parties. Now, I ended up – I wasn’t planning on it, but I ended up talking with a legislator yesterday. And what he said was that their rumblings are that this special session, that they want to try to get it done at least by the middle of August because if they want to try to put something on the ballot to – get rid of Tabor, which Tabor is a constitutional amendment, that they will have a timeline to do that so that perhaps this special session will for sure have to be by mid-August. But I think probably their strategy, again, I’m just surmising, Rob, is that they’re going to want to keep their strategy close to the chest. because it takes time for all of us then to get organized, to get the public notified on what’s happening out there. And so this is going to be very important regarding if they’re going to try to put Tabor on the ballot. And again, you and I are just, we don’t have confirmation on that, but it seems like it makes sense that that’s what they’re going to try to do because Polis was out on national news just recently crying that the Trump administration was going to cost colorado five hundred million dollars and then i think it’s an additional five hundred million dollars in uh… medicaid funding and we should not have been federal government doesn’t have money they only have money if they tax and feed all of us here in America and then redistribute it, for example, to Colorado or borrow it from our children that don’t even have a voice in that, Rob.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, yeah. That’s a tragedy is what a lot of the American mindset is kind of we’ve gotten used to immediate gratification rather than deferred expectation. And the tragedy is that the chickens are coming home to roost in our state. And I guess we could see that from two perspectives as a tragedy or also time for great enlightenment for the people, the light to dawn upon them that, you know, who we elect to go down there to the Capitol really does matter. There is a difference between the two different perspectives and parties. But the great thing about Tabor is that the taxpayers across the board, Democrats, unaffiliated and Republicans, are heavily in favor of keeping Tabor. Once they’re really presented with the data, they usually vote their interest in keeping the Tabor in play. Sometimes they have misleading amendments or rather issues put on the ballot in our county here in Jefferson County, and they mislead the people without raising taxes, which is a great euphemism for we’re going to keep the tax money that we’re not supposed to keep to start with. And people will sometimes be suckered into supporting it, but usually just by a narrow margin. But once it’s clear, usually it’s resoundingly supported by the general taxpaying public and the voters.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay. So with that, Rob. And I am trying to remember this. I’m going down memory lane on this because we were, I’m pretty sure on our voters guide, we were a no on this. And this was back in 2008. 16. So I, this was early on when I was looking at a number of these things was Colorado amendment 71 was, it was called raise the bar and it actually was put on the ballot. One of the Republican consultants, uh, um, was very involved in getting that passed. And what it was, was a constitution. It was a, uh, an amendment, uh, It said it created something regarding constitutional amendments. So it’s requiring signatures to be collected from each of the state’s 35 Senate districts and that require 55% voters to approve constitutional amendments. But I’m going to have to delve into this a little bit more because I think that to get rid of an amendment, that it was only going to take 50%. So I’m going to have to research that out because we’re going to need to know that, Rob, if that’s the case.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, I agree with you. They raised the bar for getting it onto the ballot, but I’m not aware that they, as part of that, that they raised the bar for getting rid of it. I think we still retain the original. I think you’re right. We’ve had people from the more conservative and the taxpayer side that have been complicit in going along with undermining the taxpayer’s voice and the people’s will and putting this constitutional amendment in place. So, yeah, we have to be careful. We have folks on all aspects and perspectives that kind of go together to the enemy of my enemy is my friend type of program.
SPEAKER 19 :
So we have to be nonpartisan. And we really are watching out for the people. And so we’d recommend that people join us. It’s only $25 a year, which is $2.08 a month. And we’ve not really focused on a real membership drive because we’ve been so busy with the legislative process. positions, and then we brought out Cut Engage, which is great, where people can weigh in on legislative issues. We’re working on the ratings report. So we will be working on a membership drive here soon, but we’d love to have people join us. And we’re also going to be ramping up if there is a special legislative session on that. So that website is coloradotaxpayer.org. Well, thank you, Kim. And just in kind of getting prepared to visit with you this morning about our taxpayer Bill of Rights stuff, I just was looking through some of the things online, the Wikipedia, the state website, et cetera. And it’s constant and insidious, the attack on the taxpayers’ Bill of Rights. Even in Wikipedia, they have to own up to the fact that it’s been challenged repeatedly. and how it’s drug on in the courts and the PBIs that are working to undermine it, they don’t give up. And so we just keep energized to try to keep the public aware and try to get involved in helping us from the grassroots side to preserve our freedoms and our tax liberties as best we can.

Well, I am well, and I want to get into this piece that was published originally at brownstone.org, and then people can find it at Popular Rationalism, the plot to get RFK Jr. But I was talking with one of my listeners last week, Dr. Jack, And she said she loves the classes that she has taken at IPAC-EDU because it’s interactive and she’s gotten to know the other students. And she said, in fact, many of them have taken different classes together. It’s a unique offering that you have at IPAC-EDU.

Thank you. Yeah, the idea to educate the public on science and at a level where they can actually impact policy and law is Policy and law came in 2020 when I realized that they were running roughshod all over the people’s relative ignorance and lack of education on these matters. And the response has been wonderful. We have a country of very curious people. They’re curious in the sense of wonder and awe. They love learning. And our founding fathers really understood how important it was that people empower themselves with knowledge. And so from these fundamentals emerged this institution where people can get together and learn and teach each other. We’ve got 40 instructors. We’ve had about 4,000 people come through since 2020, and they become better teachers. in their daily life to speaking with friends and family. They know how to speak truth to the seeds of power, whether it’s the school board or their doctors. And, yeah, so I’m filled with gratitude that the response has been so good, and I’m very hopeful about change in policy in the right direction for freedom-loving Americans.

Okay. Dr. Jack, let’s get into this. This piece that you have published regarding the plot to get RFK Jr. is riveting. I would highly recommend people read this, the information you’ve named names. It’s from an apparent leaked minutes document. And you’ve titled us that you said that it’s a trade association that they held a meeting in April to undo the confirmation of Kennedy by the duly elected us Senate. Uh, this is pretty powerful. Where, where should we start with this?
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, let’s start with, um, how I, the memo came into my possession. It was early April, and I received an email from a trusted colleague that said someone needed to be in touch with me about something important, and I received a memo that outlined a systematic plan, an agenda and a systematic plan, a detailed plan on how the trade association called BIO, which is made up of pharmaceutical companies and other people, other organizations, I should say, who have a vested interest in mass consumption of pharmaceutical products, from a financial standpoint, that they were going to remove Robert F. Kennedy Jr., attempt to remove Robert F. Kennedy Jr. by September of this year from his position as Secretary of Health and Human Services. So the Biotechnology Innovation Organization memo, as it was labeled, had a great amount of detail on the plan and the agenda. The specific plan itself was fascinating. It mentioned, you know, can we find people who are in the administration who might be responsive to turning against Kennedy, the divide and conquer agenda? you know, try to get these strategic influencers, uh, to help with legislative positioning, um, in general, which is, you know, fine. They won’t, they’d have their position. They should promote it. That’s a free country. Right. Um, right. But to named like Dr. Oz and others and saying, well, wait a minute, maybe we can find a friend in them. and setting Macri and Trump insiders against RFK Jr. is an idea that was potentially, allegedly, and I have to say this is all alleged because, you know, who can confirm a memo? But nevertheless, they’re floating ideas like Dr. Oz might be a public health voice of reason within the White House and saying that if they…
SPEAKER 19 :
I think it’s important, as they would define reason, which would be protecting their industry, right?
SPEAKER 11 :
Of course. And notice that their tactic is not to engage directly with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. because they knew that they would then have to go through the news cycle of their leadership meeting, making agreements that they would try to phase this out or phase that out or make vaccines safer or whatever. They don’t even want to deal with the reality that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is… probably one of the most powerful appointed people in the United States of America today in the executive branch. And to skirt around him to get things done is one thing. To then say that we’re going to try to influence the messaging around Kennedy so that he’s no longer viable as HHS is really an affront to the process of democracy and the institutions that we’re trying to upright as they lay in shambles on the ground after the past eight years of nonsense. And what I want to say is, you know, Mr. Kennedy was appointed by a duly elected president. He was confirmed by a duly elected Senate and Senate committee and sworn in. And so this industry according to the memo anyway, would appear to want to undo that democratic process specifically because, and they quote in the memo, there’s a person in the memo that’s quoted as saying that their investors are frozen, that they’re concerned that depending, they want to disassociate the dynamics of their investment and their investors’ perception of their product from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. by September. of this year. And, and now some people might say, well, they have to do that, but you know, it’s understandable because they, um, are beholden to their investors and in a warped version of capitalism, it is unethical to allow your investors to have their investment at risk, um, based on almost anything. like, let’s say, vaccine risk. If there’s a risk of vaccines, then, my gosh, that would be horrible. The investors might lose their investment. And they answer to their investors under the ethics of capitalism. But in reality, they’re not managing the risk of vaccines. They’ve been managing the risk of the perception of risk of vaccines. That is to say, managing the risk that people find out about the risk or they’re managing the perception of risk. And that sounds a little bit more like fraud to me than it does capitalist ethics. It really sounds like fraud.
SPEAKER 19 :
Right, right. Yes, in capitalism, it is the free exchange of value for value. And so if there’s coercion to create a perceived value – And then the effort to tap down the truth regarding that, that’s not capitalism whatsoever. That’s coercion, and coercion and capitalism do not exist in the same sentence. So next question, this memo that you received, just to clarify, was the memo – a memo that was created by the whistleblower, or was the memo provided to you by the whistleblower of the actual memo of this group’s activities?
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, to answer that question, I do put a risk at the identity of the whistleblower, but I can say this much, that… A person at the meeting was responsible for taking the minutes of the meeting and creating, you know, the due diligence record of what was shared. And according to the way that the memo was structured and some other information that I have, and I received the memo in early April. Among the agenda items on the memo was a plan specifically to start a program called Why We Vaccinate. This I received in the first week of April. They didn’t release that program or start that program until I think it was April 24th. And then there were other things that they said on their social media calendar, specifically other events that were to take place, like let’s warp everything Kennedy’s doing – as posturing, that he’s posing, and he’s simply saying that we’re making progress here, we’re making progress there, but let’s make sure that the public thinks that it’s not real. That example of this came true on calendar, on time, as predicted, when the food industry was cited in articles across legacy media, that food industry experts are saying that Kennedy’s statement about a commitment from the food industry to get rid of synthetic dyes was false. There’s no written agreement. It doesn’t count. It doesn’t matter. He’s just posturing. So there are many examples. I’ve had this memo since April, early April. Many examples where I watched them actually come forward on schedule. And what I was doing, if you go to Twitter and you look up Life Biomed Guru, my Twitter account, and find the hashtag sharing is caring, every article that I’ve published and other people are publishing under sharing is caring, it was actually an attempt to steal their thunder, to get ahead of them on the curve. They wanted to change, for instance, the definition of what resilience means. A resilient nation, for them, the messaging was going to be a resilient nation vaccinates their population. to avoid chronic illness. So I wrote an article, a resilient nation tests their biological products. I didn’t mention the memo. I just published these a week ahead, a day ahead of their calendar so that it undermined their strategy and they could not own that language. One of the things that I love about this is that you’re an expert in the use of language. And you choose your words very carefully. And words have meaning. And sometimes those meanings, they’re sacrosanct, right? You don’t want to change the definition of things because they carry such weight and importance in the values that we hold dear to ourselves. And to undermine a person’s ability to perceive the reality in a way where they can function and reliably count on what we’re actually talking about and then what their brain thinks. Right. So messaging, neurolinguistic programming, all of that’s in there.

Thank you for that. Yes, they want to do it by September. I wouldn’t say it was fearless. It’s just an accurate record, an accurate counting of the record. At the Brownstone Institute article, and I want to thank Jeffrey Tucker and his team for publishing it there when we broke the news on it, they actually – put up a copy of the memo. You can read the memo itself. So it’s not just, you know, something that’s, I have, there’s no privacy here. It’s transparent. They, their name, I, they’re, I’m naming names because in their memos, they, they, they named names and it’s accurate accounting. But, you know, you mentioned early before the break that it’s a very important to underscore that the mention of Oz and, and, Macri and so on these these individuals does not mean that they they are complicit in any way they what it is is a shopping list it’s a wish list that the that the trade association was hoping that they might be able to accomplish and I see nothing but unity I see no division whatsoever I see you know the FCA working with CMS working with the rest of HHS and you know I have a vision of whereby somebody that has been suppressed by the pharmaceutical lobby that has a pathway for human health and a reduction of human pain and suffering through naturopathic means, through herbalism, through chiropractic, through other non-allopathic medical pathways and non-pharmaceutical pathways, towards health, that these people will no longer be persecuted by the HHS administration, but rather facilitate the emergence of these, I don’t want to call them alternative, but more natural or holistic healing, integrative healing, integrative medicine. Rather than knocking down your door with a battering ram, sending you a memo saying, we see what you’re doing. By the way, we have processes within the HHS by which you can formalize this and communicate this progress that you’re making to the rest of society. This is what, you know, rather than police, FDA should not police. FDA should facilitate healing and bringing health forward. And this is the only way we’re going to make America healthy again. We need to rewrite the DNA again. of these institutions and organizations, these centers and institutes within NIH, rewrite the DNA. And sometimes that means mass layoffs, and sometimes that means putting individuals on administrative leave who are sticks in the mud that are giving resistance to the actual, what I call revolutionary reform that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his team are putting into play.

So we’ve got just a couple of minutes left and so much information. How do you want to button this up for people? And again, people need to read this by going to popularrationalism at substack.com. It is absolutely riveting.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, well, there are going to be the eternal skeptics, and I’m going to applaud them, the eternal skeptics. They’re going to say, no, you know, I’ll never trust government. It doesn’t matter what we see. This is not a charade by which, you know, like I’m in cahoots with the Bio Trade Association or anything to try to assert trust back into the system because trust in government institutions is not something that’s necessary for government institutions to function. If you can see anyone in government saying that we have to trust government, that’s not the role of government. The role of government is to abide by the rules in the U.S. Constitution, abide by our natural rights, to be able to make sure that transactions, interactions… The relationships between goods, commodities, labor, and currency are all done in a fair and, as you mentioned, Kim, transparent way. And if you are a trade industry person involved in bio, involved in pharmaceuticals, involved in vaccines, and you know that your product is not as safe as it is represented by the Trade Association of Lobbyists and by the propaganda machine that your companies have, just understand that it’s your children and grandchildren, too, who are in harm’s way. You can’t let these trains roll unchecked down the track into the human population and not expect mass casualty events like we saw with the COVID-19 vaccines. It’s everyone. There’s a great film about a Russian sub where the commander of the sub was ordered by the Soviets to launch a test missile from the Bering Strait to show Bobby’s uncle, John Kennedy, JFK, that, yeah, you can do what you want with Cuba, but we still have access to you. Now, it’s a great film. I forget the name of it, but the storyline, it’s a deal. I’m going to give a secret away here because it’s so important. There was an uprising on the sub because the decisions made by the commander to stay on mission were putting the entire sub and all the submariners and the sailors at risk.

Wow.

And there was an uprising, and the second in command that they thought was real captain thanked them for doing their duty, you know, to hold the commander at gunpoint and chain him to—handcuff him to the ladder. And then— To hold him. When the captain took the gun, he turned the gun on the sailors and said, Unleash this man. He’s your captain. And they were shocked. Wow. Why would you do that? Hey, Dr. Jack, we are out of time. We are one ship. We are one ship was the answer. And we are one country, Kim. We are one country. And so we can do this.

So your challenge is to use that word of the day in a sentence. Our quote of the day is by Will Rogers. He was born in 1879, 1935. He was an American performer, actor, and humorous social commentator. He said this. He said, I know that worrying works because none of the stuff I ever worried about has ever happened. And again, that is Will Rogers. We’ve been going through the 50 wins of the big, beautiful bill. This is from WhiteHouse.gov. Today is 36 through 40. Number 36 says it provides funding to rebuild America’s military. Number 37, it expands health savings accounts to give Americans greater choice and flexibility in how they spend their money. Number 38, it gives $10,000 bonuses annually over the next four years to Border Patrol and ICE agents on the front lines. Number 39, it incentivizes scholarships that empower American families and students to choose the education that best fits their needs. And number 40, it repeals Democrats’ insane attack on the gig economy. ending the requirement that Venmo, PayPal, and other gig transactions over $600 be reported to the IRS. And, again, that is from WhiteHouse.gov, 50 wins in the one big beautiful bill. Hi, Kim. How are you doing?
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, I’m well. I don’t know where to begin. If we want to begin with inflation numbers, the Fed spending of, what, $2.7 billion? Yeah, let’s start with the inflation numbers, and then we’ll go from there. Yes.
SPEAKER 08 :
So we know the Fed, this has been the contentious part between the President and the Fed, because the President wants the Fed to lower rates, and the Fed is saying they’re data dependent, and they’re watching the numbers. So That’s why the 10-year Treasury that you and I talk about all the time went up by about six basis points yesterday, moved up to the upper fours because the CPI numbers, the Consumer Price Index was tame. But the Fed always talks about this 2% inflation they’re trying to get to. And with the readings that are most important to people like housing and apparel and things like that, we saw some increase to where it’s a 2.9% inflation. So it was actually a jump from from the past several months, so that was not amazing to see. And so that’s where you get this battle between the president and the Fed, because they wanted to get it down to 2%, and he just wants them to lower the rates, but they want to watch the data, which hasn’t been supporting lowering rates like you and I have been talking about. I know the next thing you want to talk about is the amount of money they’re spending on the remake of the Federal Reserve building, which I did some reading about yesterday, because I hadn’t done much on that, to be fair. And it looks like some of it is, according to the Federal Reserve guys, is just inflation of construction costs and cost overruns, which is pretty much any government project I’ve ever heard about. I’m in Boston right now visiting family, and we had this project called the Big Dig in downtown Boston many years ago, and it was supposed to be X dollars, like a billion, and it became $3 billion just because of construction overruns and things like that. So that’s what the Fed is claiming for a lot of this. when I read the articles about it and, you know, they claim they’re not doing anything absorbent or anything that wasn’t already approved by the appropriations committee that approved the budget, but it’s just cost overruns and inflation. I don’t know. I’m not there. I don’t know. I don’t think they’re putting in gold toilets and things like that, but I truly don’t know. But I think it’s become a sort of a volleyball in this political thing where it might be nothing if they just lowered rates.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay. So there is, Two narratives out there, and one of those, and so I’m looking at this from WPRL, where Powell has said that there’s some sensational claims out there regarding the renovation. He said there’s no new marble. We took down the old marble. We’re putting it back up. We’ll have to use new marble where some of the old marble broke. Okay, that makes sense. He says there’s no special elevators. There’s no rooftop garden terraces, no beehives. So it’s either one or the other. I don’t know which it is, but it’s one or the other. And and we’ll have to find out the truth. Question. So Donald Trump was a developer.
SPEAKER 08 :
I mean, either way, either way, we know government waste money. Right. As a general nature. So I’m sure this place is nicer than it needs to be for them to go to work.
SPEAKER 19 :
I would say that I think we all could probably agree on that. And I’ll just do a quick segue on this $29.5 million pedestrian bridge. The polis wants the bill down by the Capitol. I don’t think we need to do that. But Donald Trump was a developer. If he had projects that was supposed to be, in this case, the Fed Reserve, $1.9 billion, but it’s ballooned to $2.5 billion, I know that there can be cost overruns in private enterprise, but you can’t stay in business if that’s the case, right?
SPEAKER 08 :
I would agree with you. I would think someone would need to crack a whip and be like, I’m not paying for this. And what I don’t know, and maybe you do because of the government, is I don’t know whose job that is. Is it Chairman Powell’s job to be the budget coordinator of this construction project, or is there – someone else whose job that is that’s in charge of buildings and maintenance, you know, while he’s trying to, you know, work on the economy. I just don’t know who’s in charge, and I don’t have that information, you know. But I agree with you. Well, maybe it was a million dollars over.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, I was just going to make a really snarky comment. Maybe whoever it was was put in place by the auto pen.
SPEAKER 08 :
Exactly. Or it could have been this could have been gone back. This didn’t just start. This has to go back to the Biden administration. Right. I mean, they didn’t just start this construction project. So Trump’s in office for seven months. I don’t know who’s in charge of someone has to sign off on this budget of this project and someone has to oversee. I don’t think Powell is writing checks, you know, to pay the bills. You know, someone should be in charge of this thing. at the construction level. And, you know, that would be the person that you’d want to go after and be like, what the hell are you doing?
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, right. Okay. So I very quickly, I wanted to do the calculation 2.5 billion versus 1.9 billion. That’s more than the two plus percent inflation that they’ve been talking, that Powell’s been talking about that he’s been so stubborn not to lower interest rates. It seems like Powell is just tone deaf when you look at this particular building and then just being so stubborn on interest rates. Because you know that I would love to have interest rates come down so that more people could afford homes and have their own home.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yep. And I don’t think there’s anybody that would love to have them come down more than me. Because that’s what I do for a living.
SPEAKER 19 :
That’s probably true. It’s probably true. So, okay, Lauren, I think… I do too. So with that, though, there’s opportunity. There is certainly inventory in the residential real estate market here. We’ll talk with Karen about that tomorrow. And there’s some creative things going on. You can help people in 49 of the 50 states, just not New York, and you work with a lot of different lenders. So people should reach out to you to prepare because there may be some opportunities in this. Well, I guess the other thing is, do you think that Powell is going to step down? Do you think Trump’s going to put so much pressure on him that he’s going to step down? I know that’s a crystal ball question, but do you have a gut feeling?
SPEAKER 08 :
I don’t know. What is he, less than a year now on his term, right? like summer of 26, I think. So I don’t know. He’s always maintained that he wouldn’t step down, that he wouldn’t give in to that pressure. So it would surprise me if he did. Having said that, every time you see the guy, it looks like he’s aged about 12 years. So I don’t know what he’s hearing behind the scenes from his family and stuff. So anything’s possible. But the good news for homebuyers and just in general is that rates have been in this range-bound thing for a while. We’ve been talking about somewhere between 6.6 and 6.875, maybe just right up to seven. We’re not at like seven and a half or anything. So like we’ve always said, if people are interested in buying a home and they can qualify and be comfortable at a payment at a 6.875 rate, then do it. And, you know, and we’ll get it done. And then we can always come back and refinance six, seven, eight months, 18 months later, whatever it is, and try to get back down to a payment should rates drop. But if they find a home they like and they can afford the payment now, I would do it.

Oh, gosh. You need to rain, though, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
It would be really sacrilegious for anybody in agriculture to say no, but in the last 30 days with what we’ve got last night, we are about at a normal annual rainfall.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, that is good. That’s always blessed news. And we’ve got a lot to talk about, Trent Luce. And we were talking with Lauren Levy before you came on regarding Jerome Powell and the Federal Reserve and this huge cost overrun on the makeover of the Federal Reserve offices. From $1.9 billion to $2.5 billion. In private enterprise, you’d go out of business doing that. But a couple of things that came in on the text line, I just wanted to acknowledge it, is since the Federal Reserve, thank you, Holly, is a private enterprise, I think they should pay for the remodeling job themselves. I also think that they should have to produce all the proposals that they reviewed line by line, items showing that they got competitive bids. And then another, Jenny, said we don’t need to get rid of Jerome Powell. We need to get rid of the Fed. So I thought those were a couple of big things to mention. And then this is another one. The Fed is the biggest public-private partnership there is. And public-private partnerships are basically what happens is that the public takes all the risk and the politicians and the politicians private, if you will, they’re the ones that get the profit, is my read on that. I know that’s a lot to throw at you right now, Trent. Luz, what’s your thoughts?
SPEAKER 10 :
I agree with every comment that you got on the text line. I would just ask anybody, when was there ever a government project that was any different? I think it’s just the way people have become allowed to happen, and we talk about demanding accountability all of the time. Anybody tries to voice accountability… It falls on deaf ears.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, and as I am, we’ve been talking about accountability at the federal level regarding excess spending. We’ve got to get this excess spending under control. But Trent, you and I are realizing that, yeah, that’s important. But at the local level, at these school districts, at Governor Polis wants to build a $29.5 million pedestrian bridge. I think to connect the Capitol with the other government buildings across the street. And he’s getting pushback on it. So now he wants to do an online survey. to find out what people think about whether or not that they should build that bridge. Well, your everyday hardworking people, they’re not watching some goofball survey. So what’s going to happen probably is that all the interested parties will flood that as a yes. Then he’ll trot that out and say, oh, look, the survey said we need to spend $29.5 million on this pedestrian bridge. Meanwhile, Colorado is in deep deficits. And so this makes no sense. So your thoughts on that?
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, actually, I’m going to turn that into a summary of my trip this past week, which I went to Weatherford, Texas, to a peach festival that did not have any peaches. And then I went to Dallas and spoke at a meeting that was talking about the CO2 pipeline. I went to Paris, Texas, and visited with some families who are being forced to an eminent domain. for flooding purposes, 725,000. Not flooding by the river, flooding by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where 725,000 acres is going to be taken via eminent domain to build a lake because they project that Dallas is going to need more water. So we can go into any of those issues, but to tie up what you just said and what I witnessed, It was very stark to me. I drove down the road. I did mostly two lane roads, except I did come home on I-35 through Oklahoma City and Wichita and had an experience in Wichita that’s worthy of a discussion. But on my two lane drive down there, two lane road drive down there, I witnessed more brand new public schools and more brand new fire halls than I’ve seen in a long time. Now, And I’m not saying this is only a Texas issue. I’m seeing this suddenly occur all throughout the country because, you know, three weeks ago I drove to Montana, 2,600 miles and back, and I just noticed that at a time when everybody’s talking about property tax problems, we’re seeing some of this spending just explode in all of our areas, rural and urban areas. I drove past one school in Texas. It was like, Oh, my goodness. It was in Paris, Texas, by the way, built out in the middle of a field. I’m assuming they acquired that through normal purchases. But the spending at every level, whether it’s the Fed or the local school district, and I’m the biggest supporter of fire departments and EMTs that you can find, there’s a ton of money that has floated into local fire departments today. from somewhere. And you know that somewhere is always us.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, it is. And I remember when I was on city council, we would have presentations made by the fire department and people really do. We do. We appreciate our firefighters. We appreciate them fighting fires. Yes, that’s for sure. But then I realized that there was this, these interested parties that were always wanting more and more taxes for the fire department and And it’s under the guise of making sure that they keep the community safe. But then same thing, when I’ve been driving throughout the metro area and I see new fire stations that are very opulent, beautiful brick buildings, I’m thinking, huh, I think there’s too much money that is going into these departments. While everyday people are paying these property taxes and higher insurance costs, All of this is making it more difficult for everyday people. So this spending, yes, we have to address it at the national level, but we need to say no to new taxes. I’m really to the point of no new taxes and no new fees. We have got to require that, and we’ve got to cut taxes as well. Taxes are way too high, but start with no new taxes, and then we’ve got to get to the point of cutting taxes. Otherwise… What is happening is people are going to be taxed out of their property. And when everyday people cannot own property, that is moving us towards Marxism and communism. The founders knew that this new idea where everyday people could own property would be inherent in liberty. And so when we see government entities, and we’re saying yes to it, that’s the other problem. We are saying yes to these taxes for these school districts. We’re saying yes to these taxes for these rec centers. We’re saying yes to these taxes for fire departments. And yes, we think these things are important, but we have to say no to no new taxes. I’m really coming down on that side, Trent Luce.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, I just want to take something you said and shout it louder, and that is that I’m all about equipping the first responders with the necessary technology and equipment to go get the job done. The buildings that I am seeing that you referenced that are being built are extravagant, and you do not need to house a fire truck in a brick building. A Morton building will do the same thing at lower costs.

Okay. Well, we’ve got a lot to talk about. The text line is very busy, 720-605-0647. Regarding the Fed, apparently up in Wellington, they want a 0.5% sales tax increase. Again, that is a tax on life, if you will. And we need to say no to no new taxes. And these entities need to stay within their within their means because we are being squeezed as people more and more each and every day. These discussions happen because of our sponsors. And let’s see. Another listener regarding the Fed says the people want 0% inflation, not 2%. Zero represents a stable economy. And another listener, the Fed is not a government entity. The Fed is a private bank, represents its member banks, non-American citizens. And the Fed is the biggest public-private partnership there is, and that PPPs are cronyism. So I have very astute listeners, Trent Luce.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, most people think it’s a part of the federal government, and it’s not. It goes back to 1913, and it all started with an income tax.
SPEAKER 19 :
Yep. Yep, that is for sure. That was an amendment that was sold to people. Trent Liu says the income tax would be on the rich, and it would be for a small percentage. Well, how’s that working out now? The other thing one of our listeners said, though, is that Everybody needs to have skin in the game. I think we need to simplify the tax code in America. I think basically we have a flat tax. Everybody pays something in. Because when people perceive that they can vote in a tax increase on someone else, that they’re not going to have to pay, then, of course, they’re like, oh, yeah, human nature. I’d love to do that. Well, that’s what PBIs say to people. But guess what? Now look at where we are here in America now. And so we need to make sure that everybody has the same percentage skin in the game, and when we do, we will make better decisions as citizens. Trent Luce.
SPEAKER 10 :
And on this week in 1789, the Bastille took place, and the people of France rose up against a tyrannical government and said, we are no longer going to deal with your tyrannical policies leading to starvation and and the elimination of our freedom as we should have it. And they took matters into their own hands. And this morning on my Across the Pond program, Theresa Platt, who lives in France, was talking about the number of places that still have statues, headless statues, representing the tyrannical government that had their head chopped off in 1789 in the French Revolution.
SPEAKER 19 :
See, there’s the big difference between the French Revolution and the American Revolution. Their response to the things that they were concerned about was going out and chopping people’s heads off. But what happened with the American Revolution is we were founded on this idea that all men are created equal with these rights from God of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. So instead of chopping people’s heads off, we came up with the Constitution of the United States to protect individual rights. And so that is a big difference between 1789 –
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, there was another big difference. This was a country trying to maintain control, a king, not a country, a king trying to maintain control of a people in a new land. And France was rebelling against their own government.
SPEAKER 19 :
Right, but that should not have precluded them from coming up with a new government that would be based like the Americans. Of course, our Constitution was put in place in 1787. We didn’t get it right. Initially, we had the Articles of Confederation because the founders of each of the states, they were concerned about a too powerful federal government, which that’s what we now have. Right. Trent Luce, I’m going to have to get us back over to at least some of the stuff that I advertised that we were going to talk about.
SPEAKER 10 :
But quickly, don’t forget 1776, 1787. In the middle of that is the French Revolution. And if you don’t believe what happened in France played a role in the founding fathers shaping the direction of the U.S. Constitution, I think you’re not looking at the big picture.
SPEAKER 19 :
Oh, that’s a good point as well. Well done. Very well done. Okay, a lot’s coming in on the text line. We’ll see if we can try to get to some of this. Let’s see here. Some of his stuff makes me laugh. Okay, let’s get over here. Last week, we kept it as a cliffhanger. Screw worms coming in with cattle that’s being imported from Mexico. This was something of great concern. I saw a headline after that, after you mentioned it, that they were not bringing in this cattle anymore. So what’s the update on this? What’s a screw worm? What’s the risk to our food supply? Tell us about that.
SPEAKER 10 :
We’ve not had screwworm in the United States for 60 years, and our plan is to keep it out. In December, they identified screwworm in Mexico, which it had only been in Central America and what I understand to be the Guatemala region, and then it has to come through the Panama area. But in December, it had gotten into Mexico. Obviously, Mexico has been a vital trading partner of ours. We in the beef industry, whether we like it or not, are relying on cattle coming in to fill the demand for beef in the U.S. That’s a whole different discussion, but that’s what we’ve been doing. And December, that was shut down because of the screwworm. The screwworm is a larvae that comes from the fruit fly, and that larvae goes into an open sore and then literally just eats that open sore. And currently 23 people, we are told, in the country of Mexico are are hospitalized with the screw worm issues themselves. So the border was shut down. In April, there was a discussion that we can maybe keep track of regions and we can allow cattle to come in. It’s actually cattle, bison, and equine. All three of those animals are included in what I’m talking about here. The USDA said, okay, we’re going to regionalize it, and we can maybe come from different parts of Mexico, so we’ll allow imports to come back in. In May, there was a decision that, oh, no, wait, this is too much risk, which really amounted to people threw a fit and said we cannot put the U.S. beef industry at risk. And so in the process of all of this, we’re spending about $21 million dating back to 1960s when screw-on became a problem, $21 million a year in a lab producing beef. These fruit flies and the male fruit flies, we radiate them with U.S. dollars, and we take them to the tune of, I believe, 600,000 to a million a year from the U.S. lab and put them in the fruit fly population of Central America and Mexico. The concept behind that is, and by the way, a million also come from Panama each year out of a lab. The concept is that the female fruit fly will mate with these sterile fruit flies that have been produced in a lab. The problem is the lab-produced male fruit fly weighs 73 milligrams, and the wild fruit fly male that’s natural weighs 90 milligrams, so it’s bigger, significantly bigger. Consequently, we’ve determined that the female fruit fly prefers a larger male to mate with, and so their sterile mating program hasn’t worked out like they thought, even though we’re currently investing another $300 million in Texas in a lab to produce more sterile fruit flies. And the female fruit fly isn’t being fooled because they recognize, hey, that didn’t work out so good. I’m seeking a different mate. Consequently, we fast forward to last week. There was an announcement that USDA said, okay, we’ve cleared this again. We’re going to come back and we’re going to start doing a phase-in of cattle coming across first. July 7th, they’ll come across at Douglas, Arizona, and then we’re going to open up two crossings, two border crossings in New Mexico, and then we’re going to close with Del Rio and Laredo, Texas. in October, September and October, and we’ll have a flow of cattle coming back across the border. Two days later, the USDA and Brooke Rollins said, oh, we’ve changed our mind. We’re going to shut down the border again. Meanwhile, maybe the most interesting part of the whole story, a treatment of Ivamec takes care of the fruit fly problem.

A treatment of what?
SPEAKER 10 :
Ivamectin.
SPEAKER 19 :
I thought that’s what you said. It sounds to me like we’re spending a lot of U.S. taxpayers’ money to emasculate the fruit fly. Down in Central America, the female fruit fly is still attracted to the non-emasculated fruit fly. I think we could probably take some lessons about that regarding our culture.
SPEAKER 10 :
I agree 100%. But if you look at what they’re doing to that fruit fly – and you look at how the radiation is being applied, and then you think about the number of electric magnetic rays and radiation that we have in our everyday life from what we’re using and just in this communication at this moment, not to mention how we heat up our food and how we communicate with the world via Internet. I’m wondering, and this isn’t just assuming anything, we have hardcore data that says that male sperm count is significantly decreasing. Well, it’s not too hard to figure that they’re treating us like a male fruit fly.
SPEAKER 19 :
Now, I had not connected that dot. That’s an interesting one to have out there in the ether. We’ve got a lot of questions coming in on the text line. So let’s go to break. It is a great day to be alive. And we are here for a purpose. And one of the things that we have to do is we have to make sure that we are shedding light on all of the things that is occurring out there. Trent Luce does that on a regular basis. You can find him at Beck, that’s B-E-K-T-B. And he is an advocate for the people that feed and fuel us. And are we not grateful for the people that feed and fuel us in rural Colorado and rural America? Trent Luce, we’re talking about the screw worm that has been found in cattle in Mexico. And you said that it’s the larva of the fruit fly. And a question coming in on the text line is, why import diseased cattle when we can produce our own cattle? for the same reason that wolves are introduced in Colorado. It’s to destroy our cattle industry, to connect the dot, to destroy an industry that provides food for everyday Americans, and then connect that next dot that beef is a great source of protein in our diets. So just connect all those dots. I think that that’s important. I think this is a good point from our listener.
SPEAKER 10 :
It is, and I tried to touch on it, but it’s an extensive conversation. I’ll try to do a better job. We have a tremendous infrastructure for beef production in this country. And when I’m talking infrastructure, I’m talking about the feedlot sector through the packing sector and the distribution. And our consumption of beef is actually increasing on a per capita basis. It was higher in the 70s. It took a big hit. It’s decreased now. our inventory of the total number of cattle that we have in the United States will not currently match what the beef demand is. If we do not bring in cattle from places like Mexico and Canada, we will lose the infrastructure to continue to supply the beef. Well, hopefully we can use these imported cattle, which quite frankly are a lower quality. There’s no disease problem whatsoever. I mean, this is why we’re talking about screwworm and it doesn’t affect I mean, we’ve got to protect our herds first and foremost, and that’s why we have to make sure these safeguards are in place. And if there is any risk, you don’t want to have that happen. But it’s important that we maintain the number of animals to continue the infrastructure. But above all things, and this is why, Kim, every week I tell people, find your local supplier and demand locally food. But what we need to recognize is that over 50%, about 53% of total beef consumption in the United States is ground beef in the form of a burger. And so people are looking at cost rather than that high-quality steak that we tend to think about.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, and people are getting really squeezed. The price for a pound of hamburger is pretty significant today. But people are watching their pennies. They’re doing their best to try to keep it together to take care of their family. And that’s why we connect this dot over here, though, to property taxes, increased sales taxes that we see, again, up in Wellington. They’re going to be asking for a 0.5% increase for the fire department. We need to be saying no to all of these new taxes. because the everyday person does not have a money tree in the backyard that is just providing money. We’re having to figure it out ourselves. And so all these government entities, we need to say no new taxes.
SPEAKER 10 :
I want to do one more clarification, because it’s easy to find today, maybe even harder to find than it was, $7 a pound ground beef. That’s twice as high as we typically think that it had been. If it was not for the imported beef and cattle, do you know what that ground beef cost would be? It would be unaffordable. It would be probably double that. And so what we have is a system that relies on imported. Now, here’s a problem that I have that we have to work at getting fixed. And what I do on the ground every day is trying to eliminate these hurdles so that we can continue to grow the number of beef cattle that we have. We’re the number one beef importer in the world. The United States is. imports, not cattle. I’m not talking about cattle coming from Mexico. I’m talking about the amount of beef. And it’s mostly Australia. Australia is our number one country that we import beef from. And that’s 100% about that ground beef trade. And if it was not for that imported beef from Australia, ground beef and beef across the board would be a luxury item. That’s what we’re fighting to prevent.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay. And it really is important to So are there tariffs on beef coming in from Australia?
SPEAKER 10 :
Absolutely. With this Trump team, they’re finding a way to come up with tariffs everywhere, except for whatever this deal is that we have taking place with the UK, which I was personally in the UK on the first Trump administration, the first Trump presidency, trying to pave the way for better relations with beef, pork, and chicken in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and suddenly they’re getting a sweetheart deal, which doesn’t make sense to a lot of people in my circle.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay. I’m not real familiar with that, but I think no special deals. That’s one of the things. Everything needs to be treated properly. Fairly, there needs to be transparency on all that. We’ve got four minutes left. You had sent over a picture of you were at a gas station, and it was regarding CO2. And a couple of things. CO2 is nature’s fertilizer. And I think it’s important that we understand that CO2, I think just in our normal lives, earth is not a problem but it’s when we compress co2 that it becomes dangerous but i think that the picture that you sent can be construed in by everyday people that oh co2 is dangerous this whole climate change thing we need to let them control us i know that i’m not giving you a lot of time to address that we can keep that as a cliffhanger for next week as well but go ahead and tell us a little bit about this
SPEAKER 10 :
So I spoke in Dallas, as I mentioned earlier Sunday evening, for a group of people from Dallas because they wanted to know what’s going on with CO2 pipelines and why are they dangerous. And exactly as you said, it’s CO2 compressed to 2300 PSI or, quite frankly, anything over 1,000 pounds per square inch that is dangerous. And CO2 in the atmosphere is essential. Without it, we die. Everything dies. There is no life without CO2 in the atmosphere. which is in the atmosphere of 430 parts per million. So I was explaining that this is happening and where the dangers are, and then I’m driving home. I stop in a gas station in Wichita, Kansas. I walk in, and on the room where they keep their CO2 containers, if you drink soft drinks, if you drink beer from a keg, if you drink so many things, there’s a CO2 container involved. And I had shared with the people in Dallas that 100 people each year die in gas stations, restaurants, and bars from a mishap with the CO2 canister. These things can be deadly. But you don’t have to put that qualification on there, Kim, because water is essential too. But water is the number one killer of people worldwide. 4.2 million a year die from some water situation, and we can’t live without water. So it’s a great analogy. So I walk in this gas station, and I see for the first time a sign on a door into the back room that says, CAUTION. Carbon dioxide gas. Ventilate the area before entering. CO2 exhaust switch on the inside of the door. A high carbon dioxide gas concentration in this area can cause suffocation. It will kill you. I added the last part. It will kill you. Everything else is on that sign. And here’s why it’s significant. The people of Wichita are being warned walking in a gas station that CO2 can suffocate you at the same time as there is a trailblazer pipeline running directly under the city of Wichita that they’re currently talking about converting from a natural gas pipeline into a CO2 pipeline. The people are living on top of a time bomb, don’t even know it, and here the people who work in this gas station are being warned every day.
