SPEAKER 11 :
The latest in politics and world affairs.
SPEAKER 15 :
I don’t think that we should be passing legislation that is so complicated that people kind of throw up their hands and say, I can’t understand that.
SPEAKER 11 :
Today’s Current Opinions and Ideas.
SPEAKER 15 :
And it’s not fair just because you’re a big business that you get a break on this and the little guy doesn’t.
SPEAKER 11 :
Is it freedom or is it force? Let’s have a conversation.
SPEAKER 18 :

And thank you to Hooters Restaurants for their sponsorship. They have three locations, Aurora, Westminster, and Loveland, and with great lunch specials Monday through Friday for dine-in or to-go. Wednesdays are Wings Day. Buy 20 wings and get an additional 10 for free. Hooters Restaurants, a great place to get together with friends to watch your favorite teams. And today’s word of the day is arrogate. That would be A-R-R-O-G-A-T-E. And it’s a transitive verb, which means to take claim for oneself without right or to appropriate. to ascribe on behalf of another in an unwarranted manner, or to assume or claim as one’s own unduly, proudly, or presumptuously, to make undue claims to, from vanity or baseless pretensions, to right or merit.” And it is Medal of Honor Friday. So the Medal of Honor citation today is for Robert L. Howard, United States Army. He was born in 1939 and died in 2009. And his actions were on 12-20 of 1968. For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty, First Lieutenant Howard, then Sergeant First Class, distinguished himself while serving as platoon sergeant of an American-Vietnamese platoon, which was on a mission to rescue a missing American soldier in enemy-controlled territory in the Republic of Vietnam. The platoon had left its helicopter landing zone and was moving out on its mission when it was attacked by an estimated two company force. During the initial engagement, First Lieutenant Howard was wounded and his weapon destroyed by a grenade explosion. First Lieutenant Howard saw his platoon leader had been wounded seriously and was exposed to fire. Although unable to walk and weaponless, First Lieutenant Howard unhesitatingly crawled through a hail of fire to retrieve his wounded leader. As First Lieutenant Howard was administering first aid and removing the officer’s equipment, an enemy bullet struck one of the ammunition pouches on the lieutenant’s belt, detonating several magazines of ammunition. First Lieutenant Howard momentarily sought cover and then, realizing that he must rejoin the platoon, which had been disorganized by the enemy attack, he again began dragging the seriously wounded officer toward the platoon area. Through his outstanding example of indomitable courage and bravery, First Lieutenant Howard was able to rally the platoon into an organized defense force. With complete disregard for his safety, First Lieutenant Howard crawled from a position to another position, administering first aid to the wounded, giving encouragement to the defenders, and directing their fire on the encircling enemy. For three and a half hours, First Lieutenant Howard’s small force and supporting aircraft successfully repulsed enemy attacks and finally were in sufficient control to permit the landing of rescue helicopters. First Lieutenant Howard personally supervised the loading of his men and did not leave the bullet-swept landing zone until all were aboard safely. First Lieutenant Howard’s gallantry in action, his complete devotion to the welfare of his men at the risk of his life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit on himself, his unit, and the U.S. Army. So the quote of the day then would be from him, and it is the following. It is a great privilege to be an American. The greatest privilege of all is the right to choose. Robert L. Howard, United States Army Medal of Honor recipient says, And I’d like to let you know that I have had the chance to visit the Center for American Values down in Pueblo, right on the Riverwalk. And it is absolutely amazing, with all their portraits of valor. If you have time, if you’re looking for something to do, this is it. This summer with your children, it is a great place to take them so that they can realize what people have done for this country and the courage and valor it took to take some of those actions. So a great place to take your children in Pueblo on the Riverwalk. So I believe we might have a guest here shortly. But in the meantime, I will start talking to you a little bit about some of the headlines. But instead of the headlines, because it does pertain to that, what Kim was working on were the 50 wins in the one big, beautiful bill from the White House. And she was on the numbers 45 through 50 today. So we will start with 45. And number 45 authorizes the sale of expanded spectrum MHZ to strengthen rural broadband and secure America’s technological dominance in AI and other emerging technologies. which is a big win. And number 46 states it’s created permanent fees that illegal immigrants must pay for their applications so American taxpayers aren’t saddled with covering these costs. These fees will bring in over $77 billion to cover adjudication costs and fund immigration processes and enforcement actions. $47 Okay. Sue, and we will break on the rest of these for later. And we have on the line Richard Holthorff, who is running for state GOP vice chair. So welcome, Richard Holthorff.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, thank you very much, Yvonne, for letting me be on your program.
SPEAKER 18 :
Oh, it’s a pleasure. Pleasure to have you.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, thank you. Most people don’t know that on Monday, July 21st, The state central committee for the Colorado Republican Party will meet to elect a new vice chair because the previous vice chair stepped down and fill that vacancy. And I believe I am the most qualified candidate and ask for the vote of those central committee members to elect me.
SPEAKER 18 :
That’s excellent. And thanks for coming on to let us know when this is happening and that you are indeed running for that position.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yes, ma’am. I think it’s a time for the Colorado Republican Party, who’s trying to rebuild and rebrand, to better serve Colorado and better serve the Colorado electorate, to get new leadership. My platform is built under unity. Building bridges, not burning bridges. Mending fences, not cutting fences. And if you know me, I’m currently the Washington County chair for the GOP in my home county out in eastern Colorado. And we need common sense and common sense leadership. And I want to help the current chairwoman, and I want to help the executive team with my leadership and my strategic vision so we can better serve Colorado. And with an election coming up and the votes for me, I think that puts Colorado Republicans on a pathway for more victories in their Republican elections statewide.
SPEAKER 18 :
Excellent. Well, we need to have a lot of unity here because we’ve got a hard row ahead of us and a lot of things to pull.
SPEAKER 07 :
Oh, yes, ma’am. And there’s a candidate running against me who has a little different vision. And… You know, if you attack for fellow Republicans and you, you know, try to burn them down or burn them to the ground or tear them down, you know, it’s a very negative factor, negative influence. And I want to bring positive.
SPEAKER 18 :
Positive is what we need. Positive and forward moving.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yes, ma’am.
SPEAKER 18 :
Well, thank you for being on with us today. And we wish you the best of luck. And our final comment from you would be?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, I would ask everybody that’s a state central committee member to please consider a vote for unity, a vote for rebuilding, and a vote for positive leadership and positive strategic leadership. Because we can build back better We can be a better party and we can be a big tent. Perfect. We need to embrace every part of the Republican Party and work together to bring real solutions to a lot of problems we have in Colorado. Because we’ve lost Colorado, the progressive left, the radical left, the woke left, the communist and socialist left are slowly taking over our state and taking in a direction that I don’t believe is the right direction.
SPEAKER 18 :
Well, thank you for your leadership. And again, can you tell us how people can find you and information about you?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yes, ma’am. And thank you for asking me that question. Go to my Facebook at Holtorf Fort Colorado, Holtorf F-O-R Colorado. You can also reach me by email at Holtorf Fort Colorado at gmail.com. Holtorf F-O-R Colorado at gmail.com. Or you can call me on this number, 970-520- Zero zero one zero. I’d be more than happy to talk to anybody, visit with anybody. Hi, Yvonne. Thanks for having me. Well, thank you for being here this morning. There is so much of importance that you have to share today, this morning with Coloradans who are listening. There’s a lot going on. Well, would you just briefly tell us what was on your heart? What happened that prompted you to need to protect your child and start this Protect Kids Colorado?
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, I actually shared our story for the first time on Kim’s show in, I believe it was March of 2022. It was the very first time I spoke it out loud to an audience. So 2021, our little girl was recruited into a secret gender and sexuality club and convinced that she was actually a boy who had been born in the wrong body and they invited in outside presenters who taught her really inappropriate concepts like polyamory and puberty blockers and how to access them how to see an affirming therapist without telling her parents and repeatedly emphasized don’t tell your parents about this so so wait so they we saved her from that wow so they so they invited her to an art club class and then did they tell her this was what they were going to be teaching her no nope she was deceived just as we were that she was walking into an art club and you know it was 2021 we had just moved here from Florida she was incredibly vulnerable she’s a shy introverted kid and it was really just longing for connection with kids her age. And that’s exactly what happened. They did what I call glitter bombing. They celebrated her for proclaiming that she’s not comfortable in her body and therefore she’s transgender. And she doesn’t know who she’s sexually attracted to and she’s therefore queer. And so she was instantly given this community of people that celebrated her for adopting these LGBTQ identities. And we’re, you know, the reason we’re public about it now is because she’s one of the lucky few that we pulled her out of that, really a cult, this transgender cult. And it took about a year and it was a dark, scary year for our family and, you know, really opened our eyes to what’s happening in our public schools, what’s happening in our communities, what’s happening at the state house, and why it’s so important that we speak up about what’s happening because this is such a pervasive issue. When we went public, it kind of blew up. Within a week of telling our story out loud, I was on top of Carlson, and I was suddenly telling my story to the world. And what I learned is that this has happened to so many families across the country, thousands and thousands of families. But it’s especially happening here in the state of Colorado.
SPEAKER 18 :
Wow. Wow. Oh, my gosh. So this must have just been incredibly hard for your family. And so what did you do about it?
SPEAKER 04 :
We I kind of took a multi pronged approach. We, you know, of course, pulled our children out of the public school and they have been so much better off. But we as a family have been better off. As a result of that, again, we started to speak up to educate others because we learned that this was happening so frequently, that so many kids were being affected, not even just by being convinced they were transgender themselves, but being indoctrinated with this kind of ideology right under parents’ noses. And most parents have no idea that it’s happening. You know, it’s this pronoun conversation and math problems that talk about transgenderism and reading assignments, and parents just have no idea. So I went out on an education campaign. We also filed a federal lawsuit. Sam Bondi actually took our case against the school district. And that’s ongoing. We, this week, actually, will be filing our cert petition to SCOTUS in the hope that the Supreme Court of the United States will take up our case and set this precedent once and for all that parents have a right not to be lied to, that our children should not be transitioned to the opposite sex behind our backs, and us be intentionally lied to about it, which again is a very common issue. There’s a lot of losses like mine. One of them will eventually be taken up by the Supreme Court. We’re hopeful it’s ours, and then our school district will be held ultimately accountable. So that’s ongoing. Lawfare has been one of our mechanisms of fighting back. But then also, as you mentioned, I co-founded with a group of wonderful people, Protect Kids Colorado, I know Kevin Lundberg is our chairman. He’s been on this show a lot. Patty McKernan was on this week. She’s also on the board. And so a lot of us came together and just said, look, we’re in trouble in Colorado. They are passing laws one after another. We can’t get amendments through on them. We can’t stop the bad bills. We can’t pass good bills. And gender ideology is taking over. They have passed bill after bill that forces this agenda forward. Not just on our kids’ throats, but on all of us. For example, 1312. And so we said, let’s give the people a way to fight back. And in Colorado, we have the Citizens Valid Initiative process. Right there in Article 5, Section 1, it says we the people reserve the right to pass law by this process. And so it really is a we the people movement that gives everyone in Colorado who goes, man, I know it’s bad, but I don’t know what to do about it. a way to fight back, a very easy way by just taking a petition and talking to those people in their sphere of influence. And if we all just do a little bit, we will make the ballot and we will win on these issues.
SPEAKER 18 :
It is amazing and difficult and wonderful that the people do have a recourse to find back. Because if we are not down in the Capitol where the laws are being made and we’re not in that position… then it is nice to be able, if you disagree with something that’s going on down there, to then be able to petition to get something on the ballot for vote. So it is a tool, and I’m so glad it is, so that you and the people and all of us who want to help children can do that, too. What else do you have on there? And then we’ll go to break in a second. Your last thought here?
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, yeah, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the movie that Senator Lundberg and I made called Art Club about our families. And that really, we put that together as a tool to educate people about the problem so they understand what these ballot measures stand for. So I encourage people to go to artclubmovie.com. It’s a free film. We’ll keep it free. And that’s really the story of what happened to our family, but the broader issue of gender ideology in schools as well.
SPEAKER 18 :
Well, thank you. And so we will continue this conversation on the other side of our commercial break. But we want to thank sponsors like the Second Syndicate. Sponsorship.
SPEAKER 01 :

So she had some interesting points in the segment just before us right now. But I would like you to tell us, continue telling us, about the Colorado laws that have been enacted in the last few years that put children at risk and weaken parental rights.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah. So I actually moved my family here in 2018 from Florida. And I realize now, having looked into the laws that contributed to what happened to our daughter, that have pushed the issue of gender ideology and stripping parental rights, so many have been passed since 2019, since Jared Polis took office. And it’s just one after another again. So starting in 2019, we were personally affected by a law, 1120, that lowered the age of health care consent to 12. And my daughter was actually taught about this law in her art club. She was taught that she could go see an affirming therapist, a transgender affirming therapist, without parent knowledge or consent because this law had been passed to give her that right. I didn’t understand that this law existed. So 11, 20, now 12-year-olds are the steward of their own health care. 1129 was also passed in 2019. That put a ban on what they call conversion therapy. And it has explicit language within the bill that requires that all licensed therapists must affirm gender confused kids. They cannot question a child who comes in and says, I think I’ve been born in the wrong body. I think I’m the opposite sex. And again, I learned about that law the hard way. When I sought therapy for my gender confused daughter, my little girl, And therapy was making her worse. And we didn’t understand why we were going to someone for help. And she was becoming more depressed, more confused. Really, this law harms my family. And this law is now being challenged, actually, at the Supreme Court. It will be heard in their next session in the fall in a case called Childs v. Salazar. Haley Childs is a counselor out of Colorado Springs who has said, no, it’s against my faith, it’s against my conscience. to force these kids down a path of self-hatred and body dysmorphia, which I’m trained to help them overcome because they can’t do my job as a result of this law. And so we’re really hopeful that that law will be overturned. I’ve written two amicus briefs in that case to the Supreme Court. So everyone pray and cross your fingers that 1129 is overturned. But also in 2019, they passed the Comprehensive Sexuality Education Law which mandates that gender ideology, that mindset that children can be born in the wrong body, that they can be non-binary and choose their gender, that’s now mandated in fifth grade curriculum in the state of Colorado. So it’s inescapable that kids at the age of nine and ten will be exposed to this idea that you can be born wrong. And that’s just 2019.
SPEAKER 18 :
Wow, 2019. What was that last one? So it was 11-20 first, then 11-29. Then what was the other bill?
SPEAKER 04 :
And then 10-32. 1-0-3-2 is the comprehensive sex ed bill.
SPEAKER 18 :
10-32. Now, before we proceed with the other ones, all of this happened to your family. So you said you moved from Florida and you moved to Colorado. Where did you move to Colorado and what school district did this?
SPEAKER 04 :
So we’re in the Fort Collins area, a Pooter school district. And so our federal lawsuit that is being appealed to the Supreme Court is Lee versus Pooter. Wow. But it’s happening everywhere. And Pooter and Jeffco, in my opinion, are the two worst school districts in potentially the country. You know, they cannot stay out of the news for horrific things happening to kids, sexual offenders, child abuse. these kinds of secret school transitions. But I have to caution people that it’s absolutely happening everywhere. We’ve got some great districts, D11, D20, Woodland Park, Elizabeth. But for the most part, no school district in this state is immune from this ideology being pushed on our kids.
SPEAKER 18 :
Wow, wow. Well, let’s continue. So after those bills, is there more?
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, there’s more. I know, unfortunately. In 2023, they actually passed the law 1003-1003. And it’s really under the radar. Our friend, Lori Gimmelstein at CPAN, was really outspoken against it and led a rally at the Capitol, which we actually feature in our art club movie. But most parents don’t realize this passed. So in 2023, they passed 1003. It now mandates mental health screening for all 6th through 12th graders. And it then refers them to the state’s mental health program called I Matter. It also cemented I Matter as a continual program. It was just a temporary program until this law. So this means that all 6th through 12th graders, that’s 11 through 18 year olds, are screened for their mental health according to the state’s mental health screening. And if they’re deemed high risk, then they’re sent to the state’s mental health counseling program. And I actually took the time to do this mental health assessment. I was deemed high risk. And I answered it honestly. I don’t believe I’m at a high risk for mental health issues. And when I was referred to their counselors and I looked at my options, they were all LGBTQ affirming and sex work positive. So this tells me they are inaccurately deeming children high risk for mental health issues. And then so that they can refer them to the state’s program of incredibly inappropriate and unqualified mental health counselors, And because of that law 1120, they can do it without parents’ knowledge or consent. And the child can override a parent’s desire to withdraw their kid from the assessment. And the counselors are required, again, to affirm the mental health confusion.
SPEAKER 18 :
So that one’s scary. So in a time that, because it’s my understanding that we are approaching like a 50% of kids who can’t even write or read at grade level. So in a time when we really need to be pushing our education better, more efficiently and harder, they’re adding all these little things, these extras, these extracurriculars and tests and craziness to our curriculum for children instead of teaching them reading and writing and arithmetic? Yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, and it’s actually closer to 70% of kids nationwide and in the state who cannot read or write or do math at grade level. And in my district, they have touted a statistic that 47% of kids are LGBTQ. 30% are trans or non-binary. And they’ve touted these statistics at city council meetings and at school board meetings in recent years. So they’re not even shy in our schools about the fact that Almost a majority of kids are identifying this way. That is not natural. That is not a coincidence. That is definitely by design. And all of these laws feed into that.
SPEAKER 18 :
it’s sounding to me like these little programs in this new curricular is suggesting things to people so that because it doesn’t like like I’m thinking these these percentages don’t seem that natural to me either so so I’m guessing there’s just suggestibility absolutely and I actually missed the law that was passed in 2019 it didn’t go into effect until last year but in 2019 they also passed 1192
SPEAKER 04 :
And this mandated the teaching of minorities, which sounded good. I don’t think anyone wants our kids not to learn about minorities and diversity, but they included LGBTQ explicitly. And then the State Board of Education required that that standard be met starting in first grade, so six years old. And I actually looked into the State Department of Education. The DOE put out some resource guides. so that teachers could meet these new standards. So it’s required. You have to teach kids about LGBTQ starting in first grade, social studies, history, and civics. And they put out these resource guides to help teachers attain that. And within these guides, just in the first grade lesson alone, there was lessons about Jared Polis’ sexuality, the San Francisco Pride Parade, why you must display pride flags in your classroom. And they even have a lesson about the importance of sex work. about Sylvia and Marsha P. Johnson, who started the Stonewall riots, who ran a homeless shelter for children where they prostituted children. And they even went into the importance of allowing these kids to perform sex work. This was a first-grade lesson on the Colorado DOE website.
SPEAKER 18 :
Okay, this is sick. I’m sorry, you know, some of this, you sit there and listen and go, where are they going with this? Where you’ve gotten to is actually sick. But anyway, continue.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, it’s almost like they’re, you know, a lot of people say that it seems like they’re trying to normalize pedophilia, and I believe that they are. That transgenderism is just a rung on the ladder of the ways in which they’re trying to destroy our children, their minds, the nuclear family. This is just a part of the grand plan, and they’re not even shy about it. I mean, they’re openly putting out these lessons for the public to see. I think their hope is that we won’t pay attention, but we are, and we’re waking up. And again, that’s why I’m so vocal about what’s happening. So let’s keep going. In 2024, they passed 1039. That’s the non-legal name change bill. And this forces all teachers to socially transition kids. So Johnny says he’s Sally, five-year-old Johnny. And the parents say, no, Johnny, we’re not going to call him Sally. You’re going to call him Johnny. The teacher is now required by law to call him Sally against the parents’ wishes, even if it’s a five-year-old. And that is from the words of Janice Marchman, the senator who sponsored this bill. She said, yes, even if it’s a five-year-old, the parents, they don’t do it. The teacher is required to not disrespect and discriminate against that five-year-old child. So that has now gone into law. In 2024, they passed 1170, the Foster Bill of Rights, which mandates that all foster families must transition a child. The child does the opposite sex, you must go along with it. It also limits their ability to search their belongings, to even look in their backpack, to choose where they go to school. It really forces all foster kids to be pushed down this path. And then they passed 1071, known as Tierra’s Law. This allows transgender felons to legally change their name. So Tierra, that it was named after, our legislators named it after a person who runs a child drag ring out of Colorado Springs. A man who does drag is a woman who then pimps out minor children to dance on stages at nightclubs for tips from adults. to do drag for adults. And we named a law after him. And now any transgender felon in the state of Colorado can completely erase their criminal past. And in Tiara’s case, that included lewd behavior with children.
SPEAKER 18 :
Wow. Wow. Can it get any worse? Oh, my gosh. Please tell me it can’t. Oh, no, it gets worse. It definitely gets worse. That’s just 2024.
SPEAKER 04 :
We also have Senate bills 188 through 190. Those passed in 2023. And that made Colorado a trans and abortion sanctuary state, meaning if you can get here, it is legal to perform abortion up until birth, and it is legal to transition a child, to medically transition them with puberty blockers and surgeries and counseling, even if it’s against a custody order. any other state law, federal law. It basically made us an impenetrable port for these Mengele-like butcher doctors to perform procedures on people with absolutely no consequence and no recourse for the people who are being harmed by it.
SPEAKER 18 :
Oh, my God. So wait, I’m going to comment on a couple of things you said. So we’ve got the respecting the five-year-old. Okay, I’m a little confused here. I remember when children had to respect their elders. Who’s in charge here, first of all? What? I mean, this is what’s coming up as you’re talking about this. And the next thing would be when you start getting into these surgeries and all this other stuff with children who… I mean, I remember wanting to be a nurse for like six months. And then I wanted to be, I don’t know, some other thing. If people… Did things to me or my body or whatever every time I changed my mind about what I wanted to grow up to be. I’m going to use myself as an example here because this is really scary. I was a tomboy. So I’m your, you know, regular standard issue woman kind of thing. And I was very athletic. And at some point… I mean, I did. I did want to be a boy. I grew up in a society where the girls were handmaids to the boys because I wasn’t necessarily in this country. And the boys could stay out late and they didn’t have to do all the dishes and they didn’t do anything. Their idea of helping was lifting their feet up while we had to vacuum. And And so I thought that was pretty cool. I’m like, why can’t I be one of those? Why can’t I stay out and play after dark like the boys do? They were out there at night under the streetlights playing kick the can and I wanted to be there. I was extremely athletic. And I did eventually proceed to being a soldier and a police officer as professional choices, which would be more like the male kind of thing. I shudder to think What they would have done to me because I said, you know, I want the good life. The boys are living here and and I’m athletic and I want a seriously challenging, cool job that’s physically challenging and everything. What would they have done to me? Oh, my God.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, you’re spot on. So many tomboys and effeminate males are being lied to. They’re being harassed. physically transitioned under the guise of something is wrong with them. They’re actually the opposite sex, which we know is impossible. You can’t change your sex. And that’s terrible.
SPEAKER 18 :
But we will continue with that on the other side of our break. And so kind of chew on that a little bit, people. And right now we want to thank our sponsor, Lauren Levy from Mortgage Specialist.

Thank you for contributing to support our independent voice and exercise of our right to freedom of speech. Sue, we will continue then with what is actually a really scary conversation with what is happening in Colorado in schools and to our children. Please, Erin, continue.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, well, let’s move on to 2025. So this is a horrible year for legislation. I’m sure everyone is familiar with 1312. A law that I call the trans your child or the state will take them and call that man a woman or the state will come after you, Bill. That’s exactly what happened. Jared Polis tried to pull a smoke screen and deceive the state into thinking that we had made significant changes and the bill was somehow improved. It was not. It still makes it illegal for you to misgender someone or to use the wrong name and pronouns. You have to refer to them however they want to be referred to. Or you can actually face, they added some penalties in, up to $55,000 every single time you misgender someone. And civil penalties. Think, you know, Jack the Cakesaker on steroids. And rest assured they will probably come after him with this bill. And so my organization, Protect Kids Colorado, along with CPAN and Do No Harm and Defending Ed, actually filed the first federal lawsuit against 1312. because it is absolutely compelled speech. It limits us from doing business as usual, from even being able to talk about these laws, for example, in the way that I want to. I haven’t been able to refer to people by their accurate biological sex because it is illegal for me to do so. Wow. So we sued. There’s now several other lawsuits. Born Again used books out of Colorado Springs and XXXY Athletics are both represented by ADF, Alliance Defending Freedom. And so there are now three lawsuits on the books. against 1312 people be praying and hoping that we are successful in overturning this blatantly unconstitutional law, potentially the worst law that’s ever been passed in the state of Colorado. So that’s just for starters. In 2025, they also passed 1309, which forces all of us to pay for transgender affirming procedures. And it made testosterone secret. It took it off of the drug use monitoring program. So Any procedure that any one doctor or therapist deems medically necessary for a transgender-identified person, insurance is now required to cover it. But they also created a public fund, a slush fund of our tax dollars to pay for these procedures. And they explicitly list within 1309, eye lift, skin tightening, hair removal, breast augmentation. I’m Adam’s apple shaving. Literally anything that a transgender person wants, they get. So wait, wait, wait, aren’t these…
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah, aren’t these elective surgeries? I mean, if any other normal person, you know, I’m not going to say it’s normal or not normal. I mean, that’s not what I’m saying. But if any other person, let’s just go with any other person, decided they wanted, you know, a lift here and a tuck there and things like that, why? I don’t get it. So I think you were about to say and compare, which I’m glad you are, that there are women out there that have been diagnosed with cancer and need to have their breast removed. How does this apply to them?
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s not guaranteed. The coverage is not guaranteed. So to me, there’s transgender affirming procedures and then there’s sex affirming procedures. So a woman who’s lost her breast, who needs reconstruction, who needs sex affirming procedures, that’s not guaranteed to her. Her insurance is not mandated to cover that. But a man who wants breast implants, we are all required to pay for that. Insurance is required to cover it. OK, so insurance companies will flee and our rates will go up and we’re all being punished by this law.
SPEAKER 18 :
Oh, we’re paying for it. Is that right? Right. We’re all paying for it. Oh, my gosh. So, ladies, just want to let you know, if you have to take care of some serious life-saving surgeries that you need, you just say that you’ve changed your mind and this is where you want to go and get that stuff paid for for free, okay? If you guys want nips and tucks and things like that, I guess two can play this game. This is insane.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s insane. And all you need is, again, one doctor to say it’s medically necessary or behavioral therapist.
SPEAKER 18 :
Oh, my God. OK, keep going.
SPEAKER 04 :
So there’s a few more. Senate Bill 183 mandates taxpayer funded abortion that, you know, due to the ballot measure that passed. Last year, they’re adding on to that, requiring that we all pay for these abortions up until birth that are enshrined in our Constitution. But then the last one I want to cover is Senate Bill 129, which was hidden within an abortion bill. People didn’t really catch it, but that just cemented our stance as a trans-sanctuary state. So it made it illegal for anyone to respond to a subpoena, that aims to investigate these doctors who are performing, quote, gender-affirming care, which is just a euphemism for mutilation, chemical and surgical mutilation. It’s now illegal to even respond to a subpoena. So these doctors are virtually untouchable. It eliminates any course of action for these detransitioners who seek monetary damages for the harm that’s physically been caused to them. These doctors are knowingly doing harm. They are breaking their Hippocratic oath. And we have established Colorado as a safe haven for them. And they are fleeing here. There are 27 states who have banned this gender-affirming care for children. And from all 27 states, they are fleeing to Colorado because we have passed these laws that protect them, that make it so that they can butcher people and have absolutely no consequence for what they’re doing. So we are truly the most fortified transgender sanctuary state. Everyone knows it. In fact, there are organizations like the Transcontinental Pipeline, which I was notified about from a mom in Wisconsin. Her middle schooler was notified by a drag queen. But there’s this Transcontinental Pipeline that will relocate children to Colorado for these medical procedures because we are so fortified.
SPEAKER 18 :
So not only fortified, but see, if we’re not only doing this for Colorado children and families, if we’re not only, let me state it the way it is. If we are not only knowingly causing harm to Colorado children and families, and the taxpayer dollars are paying for it. We’re now inviting people from all over the United States and the world, transcontinental sounds a little global to me, to come and get that done at our expense. Correct.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes. In fact, one Colorado testified that there was a 50 percent increase in people just coming across state lines, trafficking their children across state lines in order to receive these treatments. And then again, yes, we’re paying for it. And we’re secret because testosterone is now a secret drug. We were paying for it for kids and we have no idea. We can’t even track that it’s happening to what degree.
SPEAKER 18 :
Okay. I will have some more questions on the other side of this on how much the people who decided to do this to their body, who, by the way, didn’t have the maturity to do that, how much they’re really enjoying that transition or not and how it’s affected their health. Maybe we can start there at the end when we come on the other side of this. But actually, this is probably the end here of the hour. So I thank you for that. And any last comment you want to make?
SPEAKER 04 :
No, I mean, obviously just people, there’s a way to fight back and it’s Protect Kids Colorado. If we all just do a little bit, we can start to reverse these laws.
SPEAKER 18 :
Wow. Thank you so much. And then I’m going to interject this because I do know that there is a doctor out there, maybe on another show you can talk about this or he can come on, who is behind a do no harm program. Because like you said, this is directly in opposition to what doctors are supposed to be doing. And now they’re doing harm with immunity. This is insane. So, OK, in the next hour, we will be. Thank you, Aaron, so much for being with us today. And in the next hour, we will be speaking with our sponsors, Alicia Garcia and Teddy Collins of the Second Syndicate and with Chris Harris, who is a retired Border Patrol agent. So make sure you stay tuned. And the quote for the end of the show is the courageous man is the man who forces himself in spite of his fear to carry on. General George S. Patton Jr. Today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. You are not alone. God bless you and God bless America. Stay tuned for our number two. And thank you, Erin, for that amazing interview. We will talk about it more later. So really, I don’t know what you think about what you just heard, but we will have some other serious conversations in the next hour. They will be different. But please tell the people that might not have listened to this what is going on in our state, because only if we’re informed can we really do something about it. Thank you.
SPEAKER 19 :
Through the mountains climbing, twisting, turning further from my home. Young like a new moon rising fierce through the rain and light. And I don’t want no one to cry But tell them if I don’t

SPEAKER 15 :
And it’s not fair just because you’re a big business that you get a break on this and the little guy doesn’t.

SPEAKER 01 :
It’s my pleasure, Yvonne. It’s fun.
SPEAKER 18 :
So Kim’s website is kimmonson.com. That’s K-I-M-M-O-N-S-O-N dot com. You can sign up for Kim’s weekly email newsletter and you’ll get first look at her upcoming guests as well as… All the most recent essays and email her at Kim at Kim Monson dot com. Thank you for contributing to support our independent voice and the exercise of our right to freedom of speech. And thank you to Laramie Energy for their gold sponsorship of the show. Reliable, efficient, affordable and abundant energy from oil and gas and oil and gas derivatives fuel our hopes, our dreams and prosperity of every American. Today’s word of the day is arrogate. That’s A-R-R-O-G-A-T-E. And it’s a transitive verb that means to take or claim for oneself without right or to appropriate, to ascribe on behalf of another in an unwarranted manner. to assume or claim as one’s own unduly, proudly, or presumptuously, to make claims to, from vanity or baseless pretensions, to right of merit. And the quote of the day is from the Medal of Honor recipient Robert L. Howard, U.S. Army, whose citation was read in the first hour. And the quote goes like this. It is a great privilege to be an American. The greatest privilege of all is the right to choose. And again, that’s from Robert L. Howard, U.S. Army, Medal of Honor recipient. So Kim was working on, instead of the headline, she was working on the 50 wins in the one big beautiful bill from the White House. And she was doing five per day. And today we’re working on 45 through 50. So we’re finishing it out for her. And I will tell you what those wins were. And number 45 would be that it authorizes the sale of Expanded Spectrum, MHZ. to strengthen the rural broadband and secure Americans’ technology dominance in AI and other emerging technologies. 46, it creates permanent fees that illegal immigrants must pay for their applications so American taxpayers aren’t saddled with covering these costs. And these fees will bring in over $77 billion to cover adjudication costs and fund immigration processes and enforcement actions. It protects family farmers. The bill prevents the greedy death tax from hitting 2 million family-owned farms who would otherwise see their exemptions cut in half and cuts taxes on farmers by over $10 billion. 48. It ends abusive financing practices in Medicaid by freezing existing provider taxes and prohibiting new provider taxes. This ensures that states cannot improperly increase the federal government’s cost share of a state Medicaid program at the expense of the taxpayers. It reigns in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This brainchild of Senator Elizabeth Warren has long functioned as another woke weaponized arm of the bureaucracy with minimal accountability or oversight that leverages its power against certain industries and individuals disfavored by these so-called elites. So it puts a projection on that. And number 50. It rolls back harmful Biden area regulations that increase cost and administrative burdens with limited flexibility for states. These burdensome regulations, such as federal staffing mandates at nursing homes, they led to closures and they reduced access to care and increased costs, particularly in areas already overwhelmed by labor shortages.” So I would say that I guess along with some of the bad, because nothing comes all good, whatever bad might have been tucked into that thing, at least we have those 50 wins that she has been talking about over the last few days and weeks. So that’s what we have for that. And I am really pleased now to have Alicia Garcia and Teddy Collins of the Second Syndicate, sponsors of the show. And actually, I think it might just be Alicia today. And she will be speaking with us next. So welcome, Alicia. Good morning. It’s Alicia, by the way. Oh, Alicia. Well, I can do that. Alicia. Yes. So welcome. Welcome. Thank you. So what can you tell us today about what’s going on with the Second Syndicate and the protection of our Second Amendment rights?
SPEAKER 03 :
There is a ton going on. There are some things going on locally as well as nationally. So we have two new laws that went into effect in July. So the first one that went into effect July 1st is the new concealed carry laws for the state of Colorado. So we used to be able to have just a four-hour class that you could take. Once you take that four-hour class, you can submit your paperwork and be approved by your county to conceal carry in the state of Colorado, which, by the way, we don’t believe in any type of permitting process is acceptable at the second syndicate. We believe in the right to bear arms as a free thing. We do not believe in the right to or the reason to ask permission. We don’t want to do that. But it’s gotten worse. As of July 1st, you now have to take an eight-hour class. You have to take a written exam. You also have to take a live fire exam. Instructors such as myself, because I do also teach concealed carry classes in the state of Colorado, I had to become a certified instructor through the state. So originally, it would just be that you would have to be certified through some sort of national educational organizations such as the NRA, the USCCA, places like that. Now, in addition to that training, I had to get approved by a county in which that I would be teaching here in the state of Colorado to be able to teach those classes, plus speak to my class about certain things that I actually don’t even really agree with. So having to teach people about red flag laws and how to red flag somebody, you know, safe storage of firearms per the state rather than what the community should be expecting, and all these other little nuances that the government feels that they want to impose on the people. In addition to that, there is a new state permitting for gun shops that is required. So my business partner’s Spartan Defense is a gun shop out of Colorado Springs, and we had to go through a bunch of hoops and you know requirements in order to be able to continue to conduct business for the state of colorado so the gun shops had to get permitted through the state so think about it gun shops are one of the highest regulated industries in the world right so they have tons of federal requirements that they have to meet for the atf and you know the national firearms act all these things Well, the state of Colorado says, you know what, we want to attack more than just gun owners. We want to attack gun businesses and make it even more difficult for them to conduct business in the state of Colorado. So they had to make sure that all employees are fingerprinted and background checked. By the gun shop, the shop also has to pay for that. That’s about 60 bucks a person. There’s over 2000 FFL federal firearms licensees in the state of Colorado that had to do this or they couldn’t be able to stay in business. So we’ve seen a handful of gun shops close across the state because of this new permitting. In addition to, you know, other regulations like having certain types of locks and security systems in each, you know, doors in the building, have to make sure that there is shatterproof glass, all of these other things that they have to do.
SPEAKER 18 :
So it’s been quite egregious. Wow. Sue, I would put that under infringements. I believe something in there’s a right that shall not be infringed. These sound like infringements for for all of that to me. But this is important.
SPEAKER 03 :
They absolutely are. And here’s the thing is we have gotten so used to compromising that we forgot that we don’t have to. There is, you know, something very clearly stated in the Constitution that says this is The Second Amendment does not guarantee us the right to bear arms. It affirms it. We had the ability to do this before there was a Constitution, right? America was founded on rebellion. America was founded on being able to resist and say no to tyranny, right? If there was no rebellion, we would all be British. So this is an American tradition to bear arms and to be able to resist and to stand up against tyranny. a tyrannical government. And these things are all tyrannical government impositions on the rights of the people. And we really need the people of Colorado to start pushing back and saying, no, we’re not going to tolerate these things any further. We need to really be focusing on making sure we have, you know, candidates not only for, you know, the race for governor that we have coming up, but all these other things that we have going on, you know, we’re going to have another election before then and make sure that we’re putting people in office that represent, you know, our belief systems in the right to bear arms and hold these politicians that have been pushing these unconstitutional laws upon us accountable as well.
SPEAKER 18 :
Right. Well, you know, this is so, so important. So please, everybody, pay attention. Pay attention to who’s running and who you want to support and all of that. And I really want to thank you, Alicia Garcia, for today’s update on our second amendment from the second syndicate. How do we get a hold of you or how do they find the second syndicate?
SPEAKER 03 :
So we are also a show. We have a show every other week on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Feel free to go follow us at The Second Syndicate on YouTube as well as Spartan Defense. SPEAKER 08 :
Welcome. Thank you for having me on, Yvonne. It’s always a pleasure to be on with you. Good morning. Good morning. Very early here. A little earlier than I’m used to, but since being retired. But thank you. A couple of things I want to touch on right off the bat, just so to set some some not ground rules, but just set the groundwork for this, is that I’m going to use the term illegal alien. And I know that bothers some people, but I want to give some context for why I use it. One, it’s in the law. It’s in various rules and regulations and codes of the United States government. It does not mean that we think some person is illegal, meaning that their personhood as a human being, nobody’s illegal. We understand that. What the law states is if you’re not a U.S. citizen, you’re here, there’s various categories of what they call aliens. Obviously not from another country or another planet. So if you’re here illegally or remain illegally, you are by definition an illegal alien. So I’m not going to twist myself around coming with undocumented immigrant or migrant. I’m not going to do that. There’s no clarity in that. The reason you’re here illegally, specifically for most people, is that they cross the border at other than a port of entry at an appropriate time. So the law basically states that if you don’t cross at an appropriate time and place and subject yourself to inspection, then you have crossed illegally under 8 United States Code 1325, which is a federal misdemeanor, punishable by up to six months in jail. If you’re removed and do it again, it is then potentially a felony. So if somebody says to you that it’s only an administrative thing, If you’ve crossed that border, you jumped the fence, you swam across the river, anywhere else other than a port of entry, a designated port of entry, you’ve entered illegally, and you’re a criminal because you broke the law. So even if you claim asylum after that, you can still have the asylum claim But you still broke the law. You’re supposed to wait your turn and go to a court eventually. So I just wanted to make that very clear, Yvonne, because I know you and I have talked about this before. Thank you. And a lot of people seem to be unclear about that.
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah, thank you, because when you try to talk about it, the first thing they come back with is, oh, crossing the border illegally is not a crime. So thank you for putting that out and explaining that.
SPEAKER 08 :
So just to give them a little more clarity, there is a civil part of it that we can use. So we can use… Either. Either civil or criminal. But the fact remains, it is a crime. So if somebody is telling you that, they’re either woefully misinformed or they’re being very disingenuous. In other words, they know, but they don’t want to admit it. The only one that’s not a crime is if you came here on a visa and you overstayed. That is a civil offense. Howsoever, a lot of us since 2000, after 9-11, have believed that should be made a criminal offense. Most of those hijackers on that fateful day were visa overstays. So there is, if you came on a visa as a visitor for whatever reason and then didn’t leave, that then is a civil offense. You still could be removed, you could still be detained, but it’s a civil offense. But coming across that border without being, you know, presenting yourself for inspection, that’s a crime. So I’m glad that we all now understand that.
SPEAKER 18 :
I’m really glad you made that clear because people don’t know how to answer that when, I mean, we know that that can’t be right because, you know, then what would be the disincentive of doing anything illegally if everything’s not a crime, you know? So it doesn’t make any sense, but we don’t really have the answer to it, but you just gave it to us. So for those of you that want to know how to answer that question, this second hour we’ll replay at 10 o’clock tonight, but keep going. So, well, that’s at the border and how that goes. So tell me about what is the number of illegal crossings going on now or what, since I believe you’re over still near the border?
SPEAKER 08 :
Yes, yes, in San Diego, where I had most of my career in the San Diego sector. I’ve done details in Arizona and other places, but my career, basically my station of record was here in San Diego, right on the border, and I live close to the border. So the numbers are staggeringly good. So I want to have some positive in this hour that we’re together. The numbers have plummeted. They’re probably the best we’ve ever seen since we started keeping records. You know, the previous administration, and I try to be nonpartisan because that’s how you get support. And I believe in border security. It’s what I did for 20-some years. I believe in it because border security is national security and community security. But the numbers, the previous administration stated that they couldn’t do anything unless Congress did something. Now, there is some truth that Congress does need to do this. They do need to change some laws. They need to streamline the immigration system. But as far as securing the border, when the previous president said, I can’t do that without Congress doing it, that was not true. Simply not true. President Trump, and I’ve got to say this, and I say this to like him, I don’t like the guy personally. I don’t know if I want him dating my daughter. But… I pull up my big boy pants and use my critical thinking skills. And in this one arena, which is my arena, is border security. He’s done a fantastic job. And I have to judge him on that. And the border is the best and most secure it’s been since I’ve ever worked and probably since we started keeping numbers. The numbers… dropped so dramatically it’s hard to describe you were going from like over a hundred thousand hundred fifty thousand a month that we were we’re encountering to now it’s just a few thousand so so we when he first went when uh when the previous administration first came to office uh i was doing some media interviews and i said we’re going to hit million apprehensions this year and they all kind of laughed at me so that’s not going to happen well they were right we did two million wow you know possibly two million apprehensions or more a year to, I think we’re going to do, we’re on par to do under 100,000 this year. I mean, that’s an amazing, staggering drop. And it’s for the good. So the border’s secure. And now the agents are able to pay attention to what we call gotaways. These people are always going to get away. And the number rose dramatically in the last administration. And you have to wonder, who were these people that didn’t want to just cross the border and stand there and wait for us to pick them up and claim asylum? They didn’t want their fingerprints taken. So who are these people that are willing to go the hard route when there was a much easier route for them to go through? So we are now able to go after much more thoroughly, much more fully the gotaways, the ones that we really, really want to know. Who are these people that are sneaking into our country? And so those numbers are going to go down because the agents no longer have to be basically glorified babysitters. And that’s going to let me segue into something else. The morale in the Border Patrol was so bad, people were leaving left and right, resigning, not waiting to retire, resigning. Wow.
SPEAKER 18 :
Wow. So let’s talk about that as we go into the next segment. Let’s pick up right where you left off there with what was happening with the morale with the Border Patrol. So hang on, everybody. And the show comes to us through great sponsors like Roger Mangan State Farm Insurance Team. Or actually, it’s Karen Levine, I believe, is coming on next. Thank you.

So please welcome back and continue. I would love to hear more.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, what we were talking about, Yvonne, was the morale of the men and women of the United States Border Patrol. Right. They really believe in a constitution. They really believe in service to nation. I’ve worked in five law enforcement agencies over 36 years. They’re all wonderful law enforcement agencies, but the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol really, really invoke the love of country that you would hope that they would have and the love of their constitution. And so when, specifically under the last administration, things were so bad. they not only thought that they felt like they were being glorified babysitters, but that they were part of the smuggling chain, that actually they were working almost like the cartels, because traditionally the way it works is the cartels have to have load vehicle drivers that pick people up near the border, drive them to a load house, keep them there, and then move them on. We were doing that for them, because the asylum system, and I’m going to get into that, was being so abused by millions of people. That all they were doing, I mean, I remember out here I brought a film team down to the border, and between the fences there was 2,000 people waiting. They were on U.S. soil, and they just kept bringing vans in, vans in, U.S. Border Patrol vans, picking them up, taking them to the station. So they’re being the load vehicle drivers now. They were then feeding them, clothing them, showering them, processing them, releasing them, and then driving them to either train stations or trolley stations or bus stations or turning them over to certain non-governmental organizations, NGOs, who would then bring them to the airports and fly them around the country. And you try that, flying without an ID someday and see how that works for you.
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah, really.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 18 :
Now, interesting you mention that. I wanted to ask you, you know, all these people and stuff, what about the children? What can you tell me about the children that supposedly came through and that are missing?
SPEAKER 08 :
So just to finish my point with that, the morale is so much better now, so much better now. It’s increased dramatically. We’ve hit our hiring goals. It’s just a lot better.
SPEAKER 18 :
Oh, wow.
SPEAKER 08 :
Going to the children… And I’m glad you brought that up because this is something that a lot of people don’t want to talk about. I have family members who are very liberal, and God bless. They say we have to go after these human smugglers, these young kids. And I try to tell them it’s like it’s not some boutique organization, some niche organization like, hey, if you want a 13-year-old girl, that’s us. It’s just the smugglers in general. If you want to stop the human exploitation, the sexual exploitation of kids, be it for sexual slavery or labor slavery, you have to go after the smugglers in general, which we’re doing that. But under the last administration, it’s known that at least 330,000 kids were given to people that probably were not their family members. So we don’t know who got them. And I want to give an example of a person in my life, I won’t say who it is, very, very close to me, volunteered for one of these NGOs out here in San Diego to see what was happening. They wanted to try to help out. It was Jewish Family Services. They get a lot of their money from Catholic charities, which was getting a lot of this money from the U.S. government. So she was working there as an induction person, basically. When somebody was brought to them by the Border Patrol, they would sign them in and get their information. So two things happened to her. Now, the funniest thing is I don’t say who this is because she had to sign – An NDA, a non-disclosure agreement. Why would a charity need you to sign an NDA? But anyway, so the first one that bothered her was she would ask these, and it was all women and young girls, why they left their country and came here. And they would say various things like for a job or for benefits, you know, for money. Two ACLU lawyers came down from L.A. and told them to not put that down anymore on the intake forms to put down gang violence, which was not what they were telling them. The second one that was more horrific for her and made her decide to quit, basically, was a young man in his young 20s came in and said, this girl here, that’s my daughter. I want her. And he didn’t know her name. And they still released this girl to her.
SPEAKER 18 :
Oh, my gosh.
SPEAKER 08 :
What do you think happened to her? So this is not this guy. You know, she’s like 13. He’s like 21. He’s not her dad. And so this is what was allowed to happen under the last administration policy. Over 330,000 children, juveniles, were given to people that we don’t know who they are. So they’re missing from the system now. And in the past, we had pushed it. I was a union official at the time, and we pushed very hard. And they did it. They did a testing program where we were going to take DNA swabs from their cheeks. And this was not for any law enforcement purpose. We would not keep records of it. It was just to show, is this person related to this person? And the left voted tooth and nail, and I don’t understand why. And under the last administration, it was stopped. But why would you not want to know, is this really this person’s relative or not?
SPEAKER 18 :
You’re getting a paycheck.
SPEAKER 08 :
Why else?
SPEAKER 18 :
Somehow you’re in the chain and you’re getting a paycheck.
SPEAKER 08 :
So we had to stop that program. And so, again, under the last administration, 330,000 children are where we don’t know where they are. We don’t know who has them. And they are trying to, HSI, which is a part of ICE, Homeland Security Investigations, is trying to locate some of these kids. And they have found some, and they have rescued some. But the thing with the children is, I don’t get this. There was this big raid here in California 10 days ago on a grow farm, a marijuana grow farm. This is 14, I think it was 14 kids that were working at a marijuana factory, basically. They’re all underage. I think the youngest was 14. So if you’re going to protest that, I have to ask you point blank to your face, why? Why? When we’re catching people that are dangerous criminals, that are misusing children, abusing children, why would that bother you? And that’s I have a hard time wrapping my head around that. I think some people, the people I know are good people. They’re left leaning, they’re liberals, they’re Democrats. It’s fine. But I think they’re misinformed because they only get their news from specific sources that are deliberately misinforming them. But the fact is, there are a lot of children at risk in this country because of open borders.
SPEAKER 18 :
Bingo. So you see, if people do not get informed or they are misinformed and sometimes people seek the places where they know they’re going to get misinformed, but that’s what they want to know. Because really, how hard is it to either turn to channel, listen to two different programs or to go to podcasts and listen to other things like that? And I want to make this is very, very important that you’re saying all of this because this is real, honest and true information about what’s happening to people. So the inhumanity of allowing this to happen to people and to children. It’s horrific. And I dare say that the people, the people who want to do all that good are complicit in this by being either not seeking out information, by being uninformed or misinformed. They are complicit in this.
SPEAKER 08 :
I agree with you 100 percent. I’d like to give you one example of. So I’ve worked with a lot of media. I mean, I’ve been on CNN, Fox News. I’ve been on BBC or international news organizations, TV, all that. I’ve worked with the New York Times and specifically a couple of people there on articles. So I had a debate with a woman one time and I was telling her what was really happening in the border. And she says, I don’t believe you. And I said, but this is what I do for a living. She says, I don’t care. I said, well, who do you believe? She goes, New York Times. I said, well, let me explain to you. I’ve worked with the New York Times on articles. They never sit foot out here. They call me from Manhattan. And we talk on the phone and I give them information. I said, so they’ve never even been out on the border. I live on the border. I work on the border. My wife is from Mexico. I know what’s going on in the border. And she says, I don’t care. I’m not going to believe you. So that’s someone who just deliberately did not want to know what was really happening because she has she won the conformational bias. She had her beliefs and she didn’t want them to to to to disagree with her inherent set of beliefs.
SPEAKER 18 :
You know, I want to add in right there where I come from. We say, no hay peor ciego que el que no quiere ver. There is no worse blind person than he who doesn’t want to see. And that’s a perfect example.
SPEAKER 08 :
And that’s perfectly true. And I’ve seen that a lot. It’s just somebody who says, this is what I do for a living. I live it. And you don’t want to hear that. That’s problematic. I will tell you this. I got a call from HBO one time. It was actually their vice section. And they asked if I would work with one of their filmmakers who was going to do a project. And part of it was going to be three things. It was called Outside the Bubble. And it was going to be about religion in the U.S. It was going to be about guns in the U.S. It was going to be about the border. So they wanted to know if I would help out with the border part of it. And I said, sure. So they had me talk to the woman who was doing, you know, the filmmaker. And she said, you know, I’m from New York City. I think she was from Soho or something like that. I said, oh, Greenwichville. And I said, yeah, I know Greenwichville. My mom was born in Manhattan. I’m from New York. And we were talking about food, and we got along great. So I said, and she told me what her premise was, that she believed that people were getting this stuff only inside a bubble. And she said, look, I’m a liberal from New York City, and I get my news from the New York Times and da-da-da, and I’d like to do a documentary that maybe goes outside that. I said, great. So she came out and we did my part of it, the border part, and it went really well. I got along with her. You know who that was? It was Nancy Pelosi’s daughter.
SPEAKER 18 :
Wow.
SPEAKER 08 :
The youngest daughter, not the oldest daughter. So at least she got the idea that she understood that a lot of people, especially on the liberal side, are living in a bubble and only getting their information from inside that bubble. So I will give her credit. I will give her credit. She understood that this was happening.
SPEAKER 18 :
She was trying.
SPEAKER 08 :
She was trying. But most people don’t. Yeah. So I give her credit for that.
SPEAKER 18 :
You know, I do want to ask you one other thing is, you know, now we got these issues that, you know, ICE is trying to do their job. And we were both law enforcement officers and we were doing our job. So why all this harassment to ICE for doing their job? And then talk to me a little bit about this interference, this judicial interference, too. Yeah.
SPEAKER 08 :
So that’s two good points, and thank you for bringing them up, Ilan. I don’t get it either. So people are like, oh, my God, you’re tearing these people’s family apart. We, as police officers, you know, as we did it all the time. You know, you’re a criminal putting you in jail. I’m taking you away from your family. Nobody bats an eye. Nobody bats an eye. We have women’s prisons. My wife was – my first wife – She was a New York State correctional officer. She worked at Bedford Hills Female Prison. Yes, they took women who were married, who had kids, whatever, and put them in prison. And nobody really batted an eye about it. But now, oh, my gosh, ISIS carried families apart. Well, you broke the law. There are consequences. I don’t know what to tell you and why in this one, only one particular area, so many people seem offended by it. And then ICE is doing their job. And it’s not just ICE, U.S. Border Patrol, because we have the border so well secured. We’re sending our agents, our men and women, up to L.A. and other places to assist ICE. And the interference, the violence that seems to be okay, that politicians are almost calling for. Mayor Bass basically saying she’s going to dox ICE agents. It’s insane. And people of goodwill should just take a step back, a deep breath, and say, you know what, I don’t like it. Maybe, but I get it. These are law enforcement people. They’re doing their job. Now, understand this, Yvonne. These are laws that were passed by Congress, enacted by the president, that go back decades, that the Supreme Court has found constitutional, and now we’re enforcing them, and people are losing their heads over it. And I truly have a tough time wrapping my mind around that.
SPEAKER 18 :
I just think they’re not thinking. People are thinking for them, and they’re just repeating things.
SPEAKER 08 :
I get that. I see something. She’ll see something pop up on the news and then everybody’s parroting it. They just arrested a woman and they’re going to arrest more of her family, a Hispanic woman. And she claimed ICE abducted her and da, da, da, da, da. And they started a GoFundMe page. I mean, she just got arrested with a hoax. But meanwhile, the press and the media ran with it. Oh, my God, you know, these guys in plainclothes came up in plain, unmarked vehicles and grabbed her. It was all a lie. They found video of her walking away from where she said she was abducted. The whole thing was a lie. It was a hoax. Oh, my gosh. But that’s another thing. It’s like, I hate people going crazy all of a sudden. Oh, my God, they’re in unmarked vehicles. They’re not in uniforms. I was a plainclothes officer for a long time. I was a detective. You can’t always wear a uniform. And that’s nothing new. It’s not like… This is something new that ICE came up with. It’s evil. Cops have done it forever. It’s a plainclothes assignment.
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah, and I’m going to tell you right here that when we’re arresting the really, really bad guys who come back and try and hurt you or your family and stuff, there is no way we need to be showing our faces. Absolutely not. Period. End of story.
SPEAKER 08 :
No. And their name tags. They were getting doxxed. Literally, they were putting out their names. People were saying, go after their kids, harass their kids. It’s insane. So hand in hand with that, though, is what you brought up with the judicial activism. To my best recollection, I believe there’s 94 federal districts in the United States. So 94 are basically federal district judges. There’s magistrates and all that, but they’re district judges.
SPEAKER 18 :
And you know what? Let’s leave that one as a cliffhanger. So we’ll come back with that judicial part of it. And right now we’re going to break, and we want to thank our sponsor, Boson Law. Can you then hang on and just come on the other side of this, please? Okay? Thank you.

If you could make that quickly, we’ll take some calls after that.
SPEAKER 08 :
Welcome. Sure. So one of the things is that a district judge and I’m not going to give a long lecture on this, but a district judge is in charge of their district. Above them is the appellate court system. You have the Second Circuit, the Fifth Circuit, and I live under the Ninth Circuit. The odd thing is, all of a sudden, these activist judges have arisen and they’re doing these nationwide injunctions. And a lot of people are questioning how that is possible because an appellate court cannot do a nationwide injunction. It can only do an injunction for its area, that appellate division. But yet the people that are underneath them, district judges, somehow seem to have the power to do a nationwide injunction. We’ve got a judge out here. I don’t think she did it nationwide. She did it for her area. But she just did an injunction against the Border Patrol from arresting people without warrants. That’s insane. And I think blatantly unconstitutional because police officers, we arrest people all the time without warrants. I pull you over and I see you doing something. I arrest you. I don’t need to say stand here and don’t go anywhere. Let me go get a judge and get a warrant. So it’s kind of ludicrous. Some of these there’s more activist things now. Judges have the more injunctions than the last couple of presidencies combined. And it’s really amazing that so many of them, like, you can’t deport this person. You can’t arrest these people. You can’t do this. You can’t do that. Well, the law has been there forever. They’ve been adjudicated by the Supreme Court as constitutional. But now some of these judges are saying, yeah, you just can’t do it. Again, literally to tell Border Patrol you can’t arrest people without a warrant, that’s insane.
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah, you can’t do your job. And for those that are not law enforcement, I think just clarifying. So when we stop somebody and we find out they’re doing something wrong and then we can arrest them and charge them, that is called probable cause. And it’s a real thing. So don’t think we’re out there just arresting people without a warrant.
SPEAKER 08 :
Right. And so, I mean, everybody that goes to any type of law enforcement academy, and I’ve been to several, you’re taught this. You’re taught the Constitution, particularly, you know, the Fourth and Fifth Amendments. And you understand how it works. You have to have building blocks, you have reasonable suspicion, then you have probable cause, and you can make an arrest. You can get a warrant. If it’s something you’ve been working on a case, you might go to a judge and get an arrest warrant. And it gives you a little bit more power, like going into their house and so on and so forth. But you don’t need, generally, most police work is done without a warrant. So, again, it’s just really weird and bothersome that some of these activist judges are all of a sudden rising up and saying, hey, Border Patrol or ICE, you can’t do this. You can’t enforce the laws as they are written. And that’s troubling.
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah. And it’s got to stop. It has got to stop. They have a job to do. They are not the Gestapo or whatever they want to call them. There are people doing a job. So kindly to all the listeners, spread that, please, and let people do their job unless you want to live amongst a bunch of criminals that are going to be doing all sorts of ugly things to you and your family. Because while you’re sleeping at night, Chris and I knew what was going on in our radio, and you don’t want to be any part of that, right?
SPEAKER 08 :
Right. And I guess one further thing. You have to decide, do you want to be in a country that’s a nation of law or that’s mob rule? And what I say by mob rule is like all of a sudden it’s OK for groups of people to protest or violently protest riot to prevent you from enforcing duly constituted laws. So which which nation do you want to live in? You’re talking about you’re afraid of democracy going away. Well, mob rule is democracy going away. You don’t, and first of all, we don’t live in a pure democracy. I mean, true democracies are horrible. That’s 100 people living together and 51 deciding the other 49 should die. That’s pure democracy. But those that are saying we’re worried about democracy going away under this administration, mob rule is exactly what you should be afraid of. Exactly, exactly.
SPEAKER 18 :
And we do have a question from a caller and it’s, they want to know about the wall. Is it being built and how many miles have been built? What do you know about that?
SPEAKER 08 :
So it’s a misnomer to call it a wall. Originally, Trump wanted an actual concrete barrier wall. The union talked to him and he listened to us, the National Border Patrol Council, and said, we need defense. We need to be able to see through. We need to see our adversaries because they ambush us. I mean, I got hit in the head with a rock by a smuggler and was out of work. three years for traumatic brain injury. You know, they throw multiple cocktails at us to shoot us. So anyway, we’ve got a fence. The fence is being built as we speak. More and more is going up. I don’t know actually how much, but I even know in my area of operations that I used to work in down in Imperial Beach that they’re putting up more fences. And so the physical barriers are going up. They’re not the end-all and be-all. But when people make fun of them and say, oh, they’re stupid, what did they do after January 6th? They put fences up everywhere in D.C., What do you have around prisons? Fences. What do you have around rich people’s houses? Fences or walls. So part of a unified effort with agents on the ground and technology is that infrastructure. And it is being built and it does help us and it keeps us safer and it keeps America safe.
SPEAKER 18 :
Good. Thank you. Good answer. And we do have another question from Michael J. that says, what happens to you if you illegally cross into Mexico? As an American, as an American.
SPEAKER 08 :
you’re probably going to get thumped on and you’re going to go to jail you’re going to go to a mexican job i mean my wife knows this you know this you know my wife’s from mexico you you down there um yeah you’re if you don’t have your government id on you down there and you have to have your mexican issued government id you’re going to get i mean my wife would tell me about her her brother who lives down there getting you know his ass kicked basically excuse my language by the policia, because he didn’t have his gubernatorial on him. So, yeah, you don’t dare go to Mexico illegally and just stay there. Bad things are going to happen to you.
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah. And I was a guest in that country for 14 years and I had my FM2 and, you know, things needed to be done right. And my dad was always saying we have to do everything just right because you as a young lady do not want to end up in a Mexican jail. Enough said there. So do we have any other questions or callers at this time? We don’t. So, yeah, please go on then with your if your last points, if you wanted to make any other points before we close today.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, I think we’ve covered a lot of the points that we wanted to cover, Yvonne. I just want to make sure people understand that the men and women in the United States Border Patrol, they’re decent people. They’re good people. They really, truly believe in the Constitution. I’ve got stories about people refusing to do certain things because they felt it was in violation of the Constitution. They really want to do what’s right for America. They want to serve. They want to protect America. And, you know, when I was a union official, I would meet with various congressmen and senators, either locally or back in D.C. when I was back in D.C. for the union. And I would tell them, I have one of the easiest union jobs in the world. I’m not here asking for, like, a lot more money. I mean, everybody wants more money, but that’s not it. You know, this, that. We do need better technology. But I would tell them, here’s what the men and women of Waterfordville want. They want you to allow them to do their job.
SPEAKER 18 :
I was going to guess that. Let me guess. We just want to be able to do our job. And our job is noble. And it protects Americans all over this country and our communities. Just let us do our job. You’re so right. I do want you to one more time, very quickly, explain very quickly why this. So coming into the country illegally is indeed a crime. So people can have something to say.
SPEAKER 08 :
The main one you’re violating is 8 U.S.C., 8 United States Code. Title 8 is immigration laws. 8 U.S.C.
SPEAKER 1 :
1325.
SPEAKER 08 :
And that’s basically entry without inspection. There’s another one. I didn’t want to get into the weeds. It’s, you know, 8 U.S.C. 1182, inadmissible alien. But they’re all crimes. They’re all legitimate crimes. Thank you. You can jail time for. So it’s not like even an offense like a parking ticket or something like that. It is a crime. It is a criminal activity. And the first offense for 8 U.S.C. 1325 is a misdemeanor. Second offense could be a felony.
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah. And well, unfortunately, we are out of time, Chris. I go so fast when I’m talking to you. But thank you so, so much for being with us today. And the quote for the end of the show is that the courageous man. Oh, like our ICE people and our law enforcement people. The courageous man is the man who forces himself in spite of his fear to carry on General George S. Patton. Today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. You are not alone. God bless you, and God bless America.
