Reggie covers the news, current events and his tenuous grasp of the Spanish language.
[MUSIC] >> I’m a Yvada, I’m your host, Rensy Rockle. >> [INAUDIBLE] >> So what about now? You and everybody, I mean everybody stand up, stand up, hold your hands up high. Lock arms. This is about America, baby, we bring people together. I’m a Yvada. [MUSIC] >> I have pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and the Republic for which it stands when nation under God, indivisible, with the river key and justice for all. >> What’s up, what’s up, what’s up, this 560 KLC? Of course this is Reggie Rockle and we doing it like how we do. I mean, you’re not, of course, my boy, Luke, what’s up? >> What’s going on, happy? >> Birthday. >> Thank you. >> Thank you, gracias. And I’m trying to speak a little Spanish, guess why? >> Why, Reggie, why? >> We got a little beautiful guess that I know. You know I’ll be out here in these streets, and trying to observe what’s going on in America, finding new friends, helping people. That’s what I like to do. And I have a friend that I met some time ago, who is Cuban, right? >> Cuba. >> Cuba? >> Very nice. She speaks very little English, but she’s here to observe the process. Radio, and then I’m going to take her to the TV station and all that type of stuff. But yeah, so show go on as usual. On social media, nobody knows my real birthday because I put fake information out there. There’s no way I’m going to give you my real birthday, and barely give you my real name, you know how that goes. But yeah, today actually is my birthday. And so, thank you. >> So you’re practicing Spanish? >> I’m practicing. >> What’s your little bit? What’s your little bit of Spanish? >> I only know cuss words. >> All right, well let’s not do that. Let’s do something else. A little Spanish. Come on, anything, one more. >> Uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco. >> Oh boy, your pronunciation needs some work, buddy. >> Okay. >> That was rough. >> See, she got help, me she got to help me. So buddy, what’s been going on in the news? What have you heard? Anything disturbing, anything that you like, what’s going on with America? How do we bring people together? How do we have unity in our city? >> Stuff going on in the news, Reggie, one of the strangest things is that your show is on a Friday. And all of the news keeps happening on Saturday and Sunday. The big thing that you missed, you haven’t had a chance to talk to, you know, Kamala Harris being selected is basically the Democrat candidate for running for office, Joe Biden dropping out. >> Huge news. >> And that was all, what was that? That was Monday or Saturday or Sunday. >> But you know what, we predicted all this stuff. We said he’s not going to drop out or he may drop out and why and you so eloquently gave us the reasons why. And we’re rarely wrong on this show. I think it was a dumb move. I have to agree with you for sure. >> I think it was not, I’m so, so very surprised. >> Yeah. >> I thought for sure they would have held on and kept him in until they got the victory and then booted him out there. If you wanted Kamala Harris as the president, then you keep Biden in, but what do I know, right? >> No, but you know, it’s the truth. So the thing of it is, that was a dumb move. So it just shows you what kind of moves that they’re doing over there to basically get rid of those votes. Now hold on, so you didn’t have one vote in the primary though, right? >> Yeah, I don’t know. I wasn’t paying attention. >> So you didn’t have one. I don’t understand how she just bypassed all those other people that are voting. >> Yeah, I’ve no clue. I have been looking. >> Well, let me tell you something. Being that I went to an all white school, you know, I normally don’t have to get into that silo look way, you know, I tell you that all the time. And my family, I have Puerto Rican, I have Cuba. >> Now, are you just trying to get brownie points? >> Yeah, a little, but I do. I do. >> Just trying to get some. >> But I do have it. >> I do have it in my family, yo. With the melting pot that America is, okay, cultures are great. My favorite food is Mexican food. >> Now, you’re really just trying to get some brownie points. >> Yes, definitely. And I’m very, I’m very happy. >> It’s true, that’s true though. Mexican food is incredible. One of the saddest things about moving from San Diego to Colorado is that there is no good Mexican food. >> Mexican food? >> Shout out to El poblano, Mexican eats just off parcarotid and South 20 mile, not sponsored, but the only good Mexican food I can find in Colorado. >> Really? Hey, we need to talk to them, maybe bring them on, you know, bring them on the show, be a sponsor. Oh, people call it. So you don’t, guess what? Guess how I communicate with my friend. I communicate with my friend with Google Translate. Yes, that’s how I do it. Oh, look, we got somebody calling in. We do, Johnny on the line for you. >> Johnny on the line? Okay, Johnny, Johnny, you there? >> Yeah, she got 1%, 1%. >> Yeah, and then when, when Tepper Gabbard or that other lady got a hold of her and started talking about her record, and then she tried to send why she put people in jail and try to keep them there longer than black men, right? Where she tried to defend that, even people must have looked at it and said, no, that’s you. >> Wow. >> Wow. So, listen to me, Johnny. You are pretty much one of the smartest guys I know in the political ram, as well as a great person and you’re married to a Russian lady, correct? >> Right, right. >> Now, what may you marry outside of your race? >> That’s not a way back when I was in Shanghai. A lot of the black girls didn’t like visually impaired guys or they would do just say bad things and just do crazy things. So, I said, well, if you don’t want me, maybe somebody else does, then I saw the Hispanic girls and white girls, they liked me, so I said, hey, I’m not going to miss out. >> So, definitely, I definitely understand that. I definitely understand that. Now, what made her different though? Why do you think that girls and ladies that are not from America, at least with black people, seem to give us more love? Yes or no? >> Yes, in a lot of cases, but in some cases, my wife, she’s old school, black, my mother was, and sometimes I don’t find that so much with some of the black women, you know, same as they want to kill their babies and demand. I just nod down, white girls like that too, but when the black girls are like that way, I think, you want to commit genocide and your kids and you think that’s a good thing? >> Yeah, it’s a touchy situation. But if you look online, they make jokes about how a lot of black men in B.A. like white women because of their more docile, more supportive, and the black woman is very aggressive. Yes or no? >> Yes, in a lot of cases, but there’s some that can be that way that are from, like if you get with the Italian man, she’s definitely, she’s definitely. >> Disclaimer, disclaimer, I think he was getting ready to say you get with the Italian girl, she’s definitely going off the hook. >> I’ve been there too, man, I date the rainbow boy. >> The rainbow? >> No, that’s not the metaphor that we use. >> I don’t swing that way, but. >> Look, just crack it up. >> Yeah, but I date the rainbow as far as females are concerned and they better be females because I’m going to be checked. >> Yeah, definitely, definitely, dude, definitely. Do you know any Spanish? >> Yeah, I know, I just almost. >> I know, I know. >> You want a little bit. >> And I need to be mad at the Spanish lady. >> What? You been married before? >> I was married to a Spanish lady and she didn’t know any Spanish either because her parents didn’t want her and the other kids didn’t know what they were saying. >> My God, man, you get more play to me, buddy. I’m going to have to start hanging with you. >> I’m going to be married now, so you know. >> I can feel, I can feel, I can’t look. >> Let’s hear some Spanish, Johnny. You can’t be saying that. >> You married, see, people are like saying you have a beautiful Spanish lady, Cuba on your show and she don’t speak English and I know Spanish. But you married a Spanish lady and you don’t know Spanish. >> Look, defend me on that one. >> She didn’t either. >> Okay, she didn’t either. >> Okay, so let’s see. And say hello. Hola. >> Hola. >> Hola. >> Hola. >> Sister? >> You guys got to work on your pronunciation. Your pronunciation is real rough. >> Okay, is rough. >> I’m black, man. >> We’re black men. >> You’ve got to pretend. >> You’ve got to pretend. >> You’ve got to pretend. >> Okay, so I’m going to Google text. Do we got somebody else in the line? >> We got cash on the line for you, bud. >> Cash. >> Patch, cash in. >> Cash, you there? >> Hola, Papi, mommy, what’s happening? >> That’s the CEO, my partner, of rap star, inter-d drink, baby. What’s going on, man? >> Oh, man, it’s lovely, man. Just want to call them. We’re happy birthday dogs. Just want to let you know that a God is alive. He’s here, active in A. You’ve seen another year. Just want to see your shout out about the go all the way digital, baby. >> Oh, I appreciate it, man. Nothing but love, you know that. Brothers from another mother. But go ahead, man. You need to go ahead and tell the world what’s going on. Because you know, we got investors, we got small investors, we got big investors. We got people just waiting and just waiting for this whole thing to blow up. Now, if I’m not mistaken, I’m going to go ahead and say, I know somebody offered $10 million for the company already. >> Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. >> That would be one of Biden’s company and check it out at the hands of the black man. >> Right. >> Well, the strategy is that you have that little $10 million first because they still that you’re hungry enough to take that. And you’ve passed over the $5 billion that they’re going to give you the buy-in. But you know, saying we’re smarter than that. So it’s all good. But yeah, that’s what we had, man. We just got offered that. But you know, we waiting for Pepsi Cola already called in the beginning. And we already called in eight. It’s like they got their eye on us so it won’t be long. >> Not me. >> Pepsi, hey, man. I’m telling you, audience listen to me right now. If Pepsi Cola offers the kind of offer that we want, I don’t care. Cas will come up missing. I will put him, if he do not take the deal, I will tie him up, put him on a boat. But I’ll send you to Brazil or Venezuela or Cuba because Cas, I know you like that. When you wake up, you’ll be surrounded by there and you’ll be rich. You’ll be rich and all that money, I don’t already sign and made the deal for us, Doc. So I’m just telling you, man, don’t sleep on that. >> It’s all good. It’s all good. Everybody goes to rap start energy drink on the Instagram. Everybody who’s listening go to rap start energy drink on the Instagram. Follow us. >> We’re going to show you awesome love. >> Appreciate it, man. I know you’re busy, man. We talk all day every day. Do your thing. You know, I got you back. The team is crazy. We got a crazy team. >> Appreciate you, Charlie. I’ll take care. Love you, Doc. >> Love you. Peace. >> Hey, man. You think I’m playing? Cas will come up missing. >> If he don’t take the money threatening. And I don’t need a disclaimer, I’m telling you right now. We’ve been through so much. We made so much money in record deals and all kind of stuff. But this by far will be the biggest situation. We have Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, Shaq, Kevin. Everybody’s taking pictures with the product. A lot of people. We just got a major distribution deal. I believe the distribution deal has over 20,000 stores. But like anything, look, if we get an order right now for 100,000 cans, we got to produce that order. So how do we do that? So if you got to have money, you got to have credit, line of credit, whatever it is. So that’s how this business works. So yes, the more and more orders that are coming in, the more and more people that are being a part of great. But we still have to fill those orders in the law that’s so, that’s very good. I want Anna to take a, let me tell you, I want her to take a picture with Rapstar, Energy Drink Cans. And that would be good, right, Dunne? How about we do that? During the break? You sell a car, you put a beautiful woman there. Beautiful woman. Yes, she’s very beautiful. Hey, you’re listening to 560KLZ. I mean, your night at Hold On Dunne will be right back, back, back. I’m Reggie Rockle. Of course I got Luke and Luke and I got the beautiful- I’m not, I’m not. Very beautiful lady here. She’s teaching me how to not spell. I can spell okay. But I cannot talk any Spanish-y-o. None. This is going to sound bad, Reggie, but I’ll give you a tip. Okay. So you’ve heard Spanish speakers, people who speak Spanish as a first language speak English. They have an accent, right? Well that accent is derived from their native language. So when you are trying to speak Spanish, you have to speak with that same accent that they speak with. So yeah, I mean you’ve heard Spanish speakers, you know the accent they have. Take that accent and apply it to your own words when you’re speaking Spanish. It’s going to sound like in your own head. Just like in your own head. Yeah, it might sound a little strange, maybe a little fake, but I mean really you have to put on that accent. It’s the same one. So when they say “Oh puppy” and all that? Yeah, the same accent. Yeah, you got to accent it. That’s who we can get her to say. Talk in Spanish. Say anything. We want to hear your accent. You got to do like a repeat after me, you know? Hola. Okay, now use that accent. Kiko. Hola. Hello. Hola. Hello. Okay, now how would you say “ola”? That’s a female. I can’t imitate. Just drop your voice. I don’t want to hear “ola”. Hola. Hola. Hola. Hola. Come on, don’t be too far, man. I don’t want to sound like rainbow, yo. You even have to smack this guy. Lay him out. Man, so look, we’re keeping it lighthearted, but definitely you guys listen. I told you about “iHOP” in Parker, unparker road. Parker and 225. It’s in Aurora. Tomorrow, they have a people calling me on my phone. Tomorrow, they’re having a customer appreciation day. It’s actually Saturday and Sunday, but Saturday at 9am to 1pm. You guys need to come get some free food. These people treat me like a king, which you know. I’ve told you the story and all of that. But they help the community. They don’t care black, white. If you’re here, legal, illegal. If you’re hurting and you need help, they help you. And so I’ve been there a lot, and I help, of course, in the name of me, God. And even the show, KLC, you know, Crawford Broadcasting is a big company. They help a lot of people, including Moa. So the bottom line is you need to come support them. Go get some food. I’ll be down there taking pictures and all that sort of thing. Make sure you’re there. So I’m going to be there and play the celebrity role. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But anyway, come down and get some food. That’s the bottom line. Because they literally give food away to people in need. And you just don’t see that. If you’re a non-profit organization and you’re going to like, you know, the Rocky Mountain, whatever company that is, the rescue mission, and different companies like that. But you very well, it’s rare to see a company like IHOP sit up and fix all that food for you and give it away. So come down there and show them so that they’re mad love. What do you think? Don, are you going to come? Oh, yeah, I’ll be there. I just got a text and somebody saying, what is the call in number? Wow. Wow. So let me, you know, I don’t know about heart. What is it? What is it? 303-477-5600 is the call in line. That is 303-4775-6000. Wow. Get online. You’ll talk to me first and then if you’re cool enough, I’ll patch it through to Reggie. Hey, I should know that number after five years. You should know that number. It’s also printed visibly on the wall right in front of you. Hey, Johnny, see how Luke gave me? He gives me, man. Hey, Reggie said I wasn’t allowed to make certain jokes. So, so to honor that, I won’t make certain jokes in an exchange. I’ll make other different jokes. I can’t, I can’t stifle no matter what, Donnie. You can. Anna. What you know? Numeral. Numeral? Yeah. You’re getting there? Spanish? Yeah. 303-477-5600. Oh, man, that is just dope. Don’t that sound good? Ask to win a zer birthday. Your birthday? Um, the birthday. What month? For these compilations. Uh, uh, what month? Please compilations. For these compilations. When? Uh, let’s see. Ask her what month? January, February, March, April. She’s like, what are you talking about? Okay. I will, I will Google translate. It’s a lot of fun. I know very little Spanish. Where you born. Okay. And my zone. Okay. Whatever that is. March. March. The same as me. Okay. You had to throw that in. I had to throw it in there. You get a special birthday show. I’m the producer. I don’t get a special birthday show. Yeah. True, true. Hey, we got another caller who’s on the line. We got mel in the line for you. Mel, Mel and me. I thought I was the only one that made your birthday. How do you know my birthday, yo? This is what I want to know. How do you know? I’m probably the only one that really knows how old he is. So I just want to know. Oh, wow. See you’re a black man on you. I’m not even gonna test you on the line. ‘Cause I, I tried to manipulate that as zillion ways. But she’s a smart one. So, you know, she probably got connections to law enforcement and all kind of stuff. Undercover. Undercover. Mel, did you hear the news about rap star, right? Well, no. I don’t know. I heard you got an offer, but declines for what is that the big news? Or is there more good news? Well, somebody from Pepsi called and then also another organization offered us 10,000. Yeah, and you know, as being one of the– Yeah, playing hard to get. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I hear you started your own company. ‘Cause, you know, you were as a big help with us early on, too. Right. Well, and I still can be. So that’s the beauty of it. Ooh. Well, yeah. We ain’t letting you go nowhere. Tell me, tell me. I’m not talking about Obama money like $21 million, which Obama pays in his house. Ten million is not good enough. Yeah, man. What? Ten million ain’t gonna cut it. But hey, hey, hey, Melanie. Since it’s my birthday, can you do a little special treat for me? Song or dance? Ooh, wee! Were you at you in Arizona? I guess it’s gonna have to be… Song. Dang it. Happy Happy Birthday to Reggie. Just enough to not get DMCA’d. Yeah, right, right. We’re gonna pay royalties. That mic, Mr. Crower. See, she’s smart, right? No, no. Most people have been singing the whole song. And then we got a bill, right? In the mail. You would have got a bill. Don’t say we. You would have got a bill, Reggie. Or disconnect, because I just don’t have that great ever. Oh my God. My phone is blowing up. Mail, but listen to me. Can I take a rain check on that dance? Sure. Yeah. Y’all hear it. You can slide it, A.D. Yeah. Hey, I heard the weather out there is really good. Really hot. Like extremely hot, more than usual. Is that true? Too hot, but we did get rain last night. So now it’s just hot and human, so. Wow. So when you travel all around, so since you got your own business now, are you going out doing marketing in different states? Where are you going to promote and let everybody know the great Melanie is rolling? I mean, you made that company that choose with a lot of money. Can we disclose how much it was? No. Okay. I was with them for 26 years. So, I, uh, uh, uh, uh, just decided to do my own thing. But I will tell you the name of my LLC because you’ll appreciate it. Okay. All about the package. All about the package. That is dope. I like it. In so many ways. Luke, why is my eyes wondering and my, my head’s thinking so many different things? Why, Reggie? I don’t know. Nobody. Thank you, Gash. All about the package LLC. That’s your LLC. Oh, that’s dope. And what kind of, what do you do specifically? What, what’s, what’s service are you offering? What I’ve done for 26 years is primary packaging. So everything in your refrigerator, glass, metal, plastic, that type of thing. But now I also get to do secondary, which is the carton, label, and all that fun stuff. So one of the big reasons why Reggie and I connected was on the can front for the, for the RAPS bar. D’Ajane, are you doing, uh, designer manufacturing? For both. Design, design, not a manufacturing platform that worked with over a thousand manufacturers worldwide. D’Ajane, uh, how would people reach out to you if they want to contact you for, uh, you know, for work? Oh, boy. Um, Reggie, I don’t know. Um, I can give my number or that we’ll figure it out. Yeah, platform is the company that I work under, so I contract with them. Okay, cool. So when, when you get all that information, we’ll put it out. And also I’m going to have to, I’m going to have to do some dope sizzle rails for you, some promotional rails for you. For sure. Now that you know the name of the LLC, I’m sure you can put something to it. Oh, yeah, I’ll make it hot for you. I’ll send it to you. Send me some pictures and some other info and, you know, any logos and stuff like that too. And I’ll hook it up for you. Appreciate it. I hope you have a super, super birthday and I’ll leave the age out of it for everyone else to wonder. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. Hey, really? Yeah. Got to ask you something. What’s up? Okay. I just got back from the convention last week. I was one of the delicate. Now it cost $200 million to put on that. Now, would that be closer to what you’re looking for? Yeah. No, I’ll cast. He wants a, he wants a, a, a billion dollars. That’s what he wants. Oh, all right. No, I don’t think it’s going to work. Now, but listen, Red Bull made nine billion in one year. And all the, what these entity drinks make are so much money. And if they’re already coming like this and we’re not even national, man, I, you know, I’m not going to let it get over a hundred million. If he gets to a hundred million, like I said, cows will come up missing. And I’ll just make the deal. All right. So, hey, Melanie? Get with that deal, Red. I’m a pretty good negotiator. Okay. You know, you and anyway. So we’ll definitely hook that up. But thank you for calling in, Melanie. You bet. Trust me. Okay. Bye-bye. Wow. So, so, so, Donnie, you’re saying where are you talking about 200 million? Luke’s looking at me like, you know, as a Red Bull made, made nine in one year, but Red Bull’s also sponsoring like the X games and all kinds of. But look at all sorts of crazy stuff. Look at monster, look up all these other. Yeah. Oh, so Motocross, they got crazy sponsor. Crazy sponsor, crazy money. Crazy money. So, yeah, you know, even though we, for the culture by the culture and it’s a black minority on, you know, we get down with the blacks and the Latinos and everything. But, you know, we’re going to make this money. This money is right around the corner. Big, big dollars. Hey, we’re going to go to break this as 560 KLZ. I’m in your NIDAR. Let’s go, let’s go. You’re listening to AM 560 KLZ, your home station. Hi, this is Annette Baibi. I am a single mom, a conservative/libertarian, a lawyer. Don’t hold that against me. I invite you to join me every Sunday night at 9 o’clock. We have such incredibly loyal listeners on KLZ. You faithfully patronize our advertising partners, keeping us on the air. They are grateful and so are we. Thank you for listening. Thank you for calling and visiting our advertisers. Thank you for telling them you heard them on KLZ. We appreciate you. One, two, three. Listen to 560 KLZ, I’m your NIDAR. This is Reggie Rockle, Anna, and of course Luke, my producer, Luke, Luke. Look, man. We as a people must come together. Now, I’m out here trying to bridge the gap and get the information and have a conversation. I don’t care if you Democrat or Republican. I don’t care what it is. We’re all people and we have to come together under God and help and unite and do good. So, who do we have in office that will do that? That’s the trick. Luke, you’re pretty good at this, man. Like, who do you think, that everybody we have right now is the best for the country and the world? Just in office right now? Or potentially in office? I don’t know. I’m at a point right now. I’m talking about this around the dinner table. I’ve gotten rid of the illusion that eyes and individual can control anything. It’s a whole bunch of big people with big money making decisions way above my pay grade. There’s not a whole lot I can do. We saw with the Democratic nomination, you know, who Kamala Harris got little to nothing in the way of votes as a poor and yet she’s the nominee. Because enough people with big money made that decision for us. I don’t know. In terms of anyone in office right now who’s going to be good for the country, a hard press to find anyone. I’ll be honest. I know a lot of people are real pro Trump. A lot of people really like him. I think Trump is this one of the like the single most contentious candidate to ever exist. Right? It’s crazy. Republicans will like him, conservatives will like him, but people left the aisle Democrats, liberals, progressives, whatever you want to call him. I think he is an absolute threat to democracy. That’s not a uniting candidate. No matter which way you turn it. Why do you think he’s good or not? You have to agree that the dude is contentious. He’s going to cause problems. Matt is a great word. Let’s see if I can counter that word. Strong leader, brave. Yeah, for the for Republicans and conservatives, not for anyone else. Not for anyone else. They hate him, dude. They hate him. I mean, there was an assassination attempt, right? You don’t assassinate a candidate. You think has a good chance of doing good for the country. And to get not saying I agree or disagree with anyone here. Am I a position entirely neutral? I’m saying he’s going to cause division regardless. Right? He’s divisive. That’s what’s going to happen. Okay, so Anna just text me. And I ask her, why does she like America? And she answered, you say Spanish. Spanish? Yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. So anybody out there that knows Spanish, we have a recording of that. So we can translate it later. But I think it says right here, because in my country, they don’t have the opportunity to get ahead, study or do what you want in life. So oppression, Cuba, oppression, heart, heart, Cuba heart. Who’s a leader? Castro, Videl, is Videl Castro? Was it the old leader? He’s a fan. But it’s he don’t like Castro. Disclaimer, disclaimer. That’s all right. I don’t think that’s bad to say. I think we can all agree if it’ll Castro, not a great guy. Okay. Not a good dude. Who good in Cuba? The moments of silence are great for radio. Oh, yeah. Oh, oh, oh. Who go, who go and Cuba? Look, man, look, listen to me. We are going to get to the bottom of this. Who is good in Cuba? We need to know. I want to know, man. Cuba’s like real coast us. That is right there. It’s right there. Wasn’t that the Russian missile crisis? The Cuban missile crisis with Russia? Yeah. That was real coast. Who good? Nobody? No, no. No, you were not. Cuba, no good? No, you were not. Oh, my God. Dude, are you sure we don’t need this claimers? Some of them are all of us. No, we don’t need disclaimers. They don’t think like the country or the country or the country. Okay, we will translate that. Family. Family Cuba? Man, I wish… Cuban Spanish is so different from the Spanish I’m used to. I can speak like something California Spanish. I can make that work. Cuban Spanish is different. Trying to follow along the best I can. Trying to… Is your family in Cuba and are they safe? Okay, is it? It’s my mom. My mom. My father. My sister. She’s done a salvo, what can you do? I mean, you can’t come to America. Cuba is not the easiest way to come to America. If you don’t come to a third country, you have to leave in the caravan. Caravan duras, Guatemala, Mexico and Mexico. That’s what you did. Did you hear that pass? I understood that. Yeah, that was quite the journey. Much mutual dinero? One of the ten thousand dollars. What is that? And say again? Ten thousand. Ten thousand. Is that ten thousand? I was trying to… Ten thousand dollars? Okay. You paid… You paid ten thousand dollars? Okay, is it? That’s… And a lot. How many miles is that? I’m in Mexico. I’m in Guatemala. I’m in Mexico. Mexico… America. Okay, so now we’re going to find out… How did you travel? Who brought you here? A question mark. A phone. Or did you take the bus or a plane? You don’t get here legally through the cartel, aren’t you? The cartel does not do legal immigration. Hey, a cordon… A cordon… A cordon abiding everything is… You know, that’s all free for us. So let’s just keep it real. Ten thousand dollars, Mexico. I took a cartel. Is that… Cartel? Ten thousand dollars, Mexico. And Mexico, America in Avión. I mean, America gave me a visa. I mean, it comes legally. Legal visa? Yeah. Legal visa. Through… From… So, Nicaragua was… No, Nicaragua, Mexico, Cartel. And Mexico, America… Legal visa. Visa. Okay. Okay, I got asked the question. On this show, we talk about the tough subjects. No matter if we’re friends, family, or foe, I have to ask. How long are you gonna be in America? Do you plan on staying in America? Yes, I think we’re in the United States. United States brings us Latin America as a visa. In the year and a day. We can apply to the residency. In the year and a day. Oh, okay. I got it on Translate. It’s picking up. But, you know, I will decide for this and decode everything. But see, this is how you get to the truth. It’s not the media. It’s not CNN. It Fox is none of the bull crap. You got somebody right here that actually did this journey. And we’re learning firsthand. And that’s why I love this show. That’s why I love Crawford Broadcasting, Mike, everybody. I just love Kelsey. Because we keep it real. Of course, Luke can’t do it without you. But that is a journey right there. So $10,000. And what’s the country’s again? That’s what she did. It was like four or five. It was a couple. If you want, Reggie, if you want, we got a live translator in the building. You want? Yes. Bring bring bring. You want to bring her in? Yes. Bring her in. Let’s get her hooked up with some head. Yeah, definitely. Definitely. And I, I, all disclaimers, I, this is my birthday. I’m gonna have fun. And I, hopefully by the end of the night, I won’t even know where I’m at. That’s my plan. Uh, safely though, of course. Uh, but yeah, I have many friends. I keep telling you guys how we do. Come on in. We have a live translator. She’s not going to get on the air, but she’ll help, she’ll help media the conversation. Oh, okay. No, you don’t want to put some headphones on? Okay. Okay. So how’s she going to hear you? You going to sit right here? Yes. She can hear with her ears. She can hear both of you. Okay. So translate. Ask her how long you’re seeing going to be in America. How long does it take to be in America? Um, two years. Two years. Two years. She’s being in America two years. Do you want to stay in America or go back to Cuba? Do you want to stay here in America or to be back in Cuba? I’m gonna stay here. I mean, one day, America is in the possibility of a visa. And we can go back to our country. She said she wished to have a visa because she wanted to come back to our country. Okay. But she wished to be able to have a visa and travel to Cuba and then come back to Cuba. And go back and forth. Go back and forth, yes. Ask her is her family safe in Cuba? Do familia es segura en Cuba? No. No. No. No. No. No. Wow. Her family is not secured in Cuba. Uh, what would be a good question to that, man? Wow. I never. So on that journey, I’ll start with that journey. Was it a dangerous journey to get here? You were a tractor to come here to come here to the United States. How did you see difficulties to reach this country? Not so much. How did you see how you got here? With a passage from Cuba and Caraguán. And that was the Transylvania and Caraguán. They were Guatemala and Mexico. They took me to Mexico and I had a part of the deportation of 20 days. I had to leave Mexico for the near port for 20 days. And there was a visa. Did you go to Cuba to wait for the arrival of Caraguán? To the Caraguán. Okay. You went to Cuba to the Caraguán. Yes, and from the Caraguán, you came to Mexico. No. I went to Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico. So, it was 10 days away from the crossing. Walking on a car, on a motorcycle. The Cuba, Guatemala, the Cuba and Caraguán. The first step she did, she flight Cuba to Nicaragua. And then she walked to all the Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, through Mexico. 10 days. You walked? Yes, she walks. And then she stayed in Mexico for a whole week. How long did you want to visit Mexico? Two other months. And she stayed in Mexico after she walked 10 days in Mexico seven months. My God! Were you scared? Was it hard? Obviously. You walk in the… You walk in the street. That’s a dumb question. But were you scared? Did you see the scare? Did you scare you at any moment that you were going back? When I was in Mexico, I was going to visit the airport. Yes, I was going to visit my country. Wow. She was in Mexico and she was so scared because she received… She has to come back to her country because Mexico refused to give her a visa to stay in Mexico. She was the border. She had a letter to be the border to her country, to Cuba and Mexico. So, she was panicking and she was feeling unsafe in Mexico. Because Mexico is controlled. Ask her did she ever get attacked or assaulted? This for me. Ask her if she ever been physically attacked or assaulted? In Mexico, was she physically abused or assaulted? Did anyone try to rape you? No, in Mexico they were playing with me because I was in Mexico City. I was in the city of Juarez, around the plane. We couldn’t do that. We got a loan and we had a 24-day deportation card. We had to leave the country, or Mexico, but the airport was near. But we didn’t have to go back to Cuba. We had a deportation card but we couldn’t go back to Cuba. We could go to another country. And when I got to the visa, what was the United States? She was never abused physically. But she got the order. She had the letter of deportation because she tried to jump. You tried to jump? Yeah. I’m going to get back. I’m going to… Come on, Luke, you know how we do it on the show? You were jumping over the border? You tried to jump in the border? She was asking if she tried to break the border. Yes, the border. But if she had a visa or that letter from Mexico, why was it so hard? Or was it hard? Of course, it was hard because she got the deportation from Mexico. Because she did an illegal thing to try to jump over the border. So it’s illegal in Mexico and obviously in the United States. So she was reported back to Mexico. And Mexico, she stayed in Mexico, but she has to leave other country. But she stayed there and later she received the permission from the United States. It was a big journey. Wow, so she walked all this ways. What kind of shoes did you have? Because my people, Africans, they walked barefooted. Some people I know here in America that’s African-American or from Africa. They go over to your house and they’re just always barefoot. They don’t care. They walk outside and it’s barefoot. What kind of shoes were you wearing? What kind of shoes were you wearing? When you were walking ten days ago. Did you wear anything in your shoes? Yes, I was wearing tennis shoes. I think you were wearing tennis shoes. No, no, no, no. No Nike, two jeans, but what does Luke got a brand in Cuba? I know Luke got making money. Luke got a tennis shoe brand in Cuba. No Nike. Just come in tennis shoes. Contra ballfkers. Protection, weapon. You brought some weapons, you brought them from a little girl. Nothing to protect you. What do you do with your friends? What do you do with them? She was traveling with the person who got money, received money, charged money to cross people to the United States. We got to get… They called… I don’t know the name of they call… We’re going to get back to that subject when we get… We’re going to break real quick. It’s fast as you get caught. Me and neither. Woo! This is KLC 560, your home station. I’m Adam Holtz and you’re listening to Plug In on KLC AM 560. Wulfering. Is he here on my rope? He’s here. He ain’t mine. In the new movie Deadpool and Wolverine, now in theaters, two of Marvel’s EGIST HEROES team up. Their mission? To save Deadpool’s version of Earth. Unlike Marvel’s PG-13 superhero movies, this one overflows with graphic, R-rated content. Violence has grew some vulgar languages constant and suggestive jokes fill the script. But anyone who’s not paying close attention to that R-rating is in for a nasty shock here. To be fair, the story delivers some strong messages about sacrifice and friendship. But brutally harsh content is unavoidable. So we’re giving Deadpool and Wolverine a 0.5 out of 5 for family friendliness. Read the full review at Plugin.com/radio. The stories we tell on this station is crazy but it’s definitely information we need to have. We have Anna here of course, she’s from Cuba and she’s telling us about the journey. We joke and fun. Laugh. Dada. But the- It’s still ha ha ha. The J.A. It’s silent basically. No, it’s a J. It sounds like A. Okay, go. Reggie. So- You didn’t expect that school? No, zero, zero. So you’re telling me that the cart, 10,000 to the cartail? Te collores. Te collores. So, me and that Cuba is so violent and bad. How long did it take you to save up $10,000? How long did it take you to save up the money that you paid for the money? Six years. That’s what my parents gave me. But actually, the $1 in Cuba is more than here. So, a $1 American, it’s worth 350 pesos. So the change of money is very broken, so it’s very fast. But why is it so? Because it’s very broken. Her father gave it that money. But in Cuba, the dollar is more money than here. Right. So it is- But the currency exchange does probably- But her parents brought that money to her. Wow. Can I- Do you know anybody from the cartail? Do you keep in touch with them? No. Good. Because I was getting ready to be my name’s Luke. We’re ready. We got about five minutes left and I think we have something here for you in the studio. Come on in. Hey, happy birthday, buddy. Oh my God. Thank you. Happy birthday to you. Wow, this is incredible. Happy birthday, dear. Oh my God. Happy birthday to you. Wow, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Wow. Thank you. You guys- This is- This is a- Humbling humbling. Thank you everybody. You know how much I love you? Thank you. And you know to thank the man. This is my birthday. Nobody knows the date. But now everybody knows the date. Are you guys listening to this story right here? Do I not go out and find them so we can get the truth of really what happened? Wow. Well, thank you very much. Wow. And can I post this? Of course. Okay. How much time we got left, man? I’ve got four minutes left. Four minutes? So we’re going to finish the conversation and everything. You guys got any questions? No. For her? You stay here, interpreter. Please. Thank you very much. What is this a card, too? Oh my god. Thank you. I love these people. And hopefully all of you guys will be there tomorrow for IHOP. Get free food. Wow. Great. How sweet. How sweet, man. How very nice. How sweet. That is totally unexpected, too. We got so little time left. You got to narrow down your questions to only the important ones. What question do you have for her, for the audience, anything? What is your motivation here in the United States? What is your motivation? What is the most important part of being free? Do you want your parents to stay here with you? Yes. My proposal to all my parents in this country is to be with a visa. I mean, the United States is opening a visa called Parole. We’re going to put it here and it’s coming. And we can come here legally. But I have to have about five years here to be free. Do you want to be a sentimental life here? Do you want to marry your children? Yes, exactly. So my question of her was, what is her wish to bring her parents in America to America? Or just come back? Or married here? Have kids? And just live permanently in this country? The wish is to bring her parents over here, live as a family together, all together. But she has to wait for a special visa for her parents. And then she would like to be married in here, have kids and stay in this country because this country opened the doors for her. And she wishes that her family can be able to travel and be together someday. Wow. And I hope that happens for you. Ask her what does she feel about the immigrants that are here, that are committing all the crimes and drugs and atrocities like to quote the cartel does here in America? How does she feel about the bad people that’s here? How do you feel about about the people that you were in your way, the cartels that were there with you? Because there are drugs in your country. How do you feel about security here? Do you think it’s the same thing in your country? No, nothing is the same. We can do what we want and we don’t have the limit. We have time for America and we have to take advantage of it. But I don’t feel scared. So she feels secure in here compared with her country with Mexico. So this country is completely free for her and she wishes for her family too. And then as why she want to be in America because it’s true America is free for everybody. Okay, I asked her who was her political choice. She said she didn’t like Camala or Trump. What is your favorite option? If you could vote for who you would vote for, Trump or Camala? Her favorite option is the Republicans of course and she wished to be able to have the right papers to vote for Trump. We blame oh my god finally finally dude finally has you. Trump Trump Trump. You know how much that’s got me in trouble. And I you know I flirt with it. I flirt with it but wow that’s real right there. But you know we are running out of time. Tell her how we in the show we count backwards three to one. We’re going to do it in Spanish before we go. Tell her I can’t help it anytime. Tell her how to do count down with us. So it’s a rest. Okay ready ready ready. Three four two three four four four three two one. So three two one. Yeah. Yeah. It’s that time. We out of here. She’s been listening to ALC 560 am. I’m a United Reggie Rappel. Yeah. It’s fun. We will tackle the issues. It will unite the country every week. Every Friday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. It’s about love y’all. Have a wonderful morning and a great day. Yeah. We’re United. Yeah. We’re United. Yeah. That’s right Colorado. [Music]
