SPEAKER 08 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior, Mike Gallagher, broadcasting across hundreds of radio stations nationwide and seen on your trusted conservative TV network, Salem News Channel. Here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 04 :
As usual, there’s been a ton of breaking news over the weekend that we want to bring you up to date with. What a difference a president makes. About a year ago, poor Joe Biden was claiming nothing can be done about the border, our wide open border. All of a sudden, enter Donald Trump. In 2025, the U.S. may well be on track to see the first year of negative net migration in 50 years. That’s according to CNN. Speaking of CNN, Harry Enten has dubbed Donald Trump the most influential president of the century. You see, you always have to sort of… discern between the lunatics on the left who sort of distort everything and what is truth, what is really news. There’s nobody better at this than John Solomon. He’s the chief executive officer and editor-in-chief of Just the News. He’s an award-winning investigative journalist. I consider any day I get to spend a few minutes with John Solomon is a good day. How you been, John?
SPEAKER 12 :
I’m well, Mike. Good to be with you, my friend.
SPEAKER 04 :
Thank you. It’s great to see your face and hear your voice because so much has exploded over the deep state. So much has happened. It really has. And you’ve been all over and over on Just the News. Look, I’ve been reading over the weekend that Biden was really the first major Democrat, and a lot of people forget this, in the summer of 2016 to publicly try to link Trump to Vladimir Putin. I mean, this goes all the way to the top. Can you give us your latest? As we sit here on a Monday, August the 4th, 2025, where does your reporting lead you about the deep state, about the Russia collusion hoax, about Obama’s role, about Comey, Brennan, Clapper? Give us sort of an overview, as only John Solomon can.
SPEAKER 12 :
I’ll give my best shout out. Let’s work on the big five. Let’s start with Hillary Clinton. Today, Hillary Clinton seems to suggest that The Russian intercept of an alleged plan to hang a Russian shingle, a fake Russian shingle, on Donald Trump’s campaign house is just disinformation. Now, how many times have we heard Russian disinformation turn out to be true, like the Hunter Biden laptop? They have to take it with a grain of salt. But this morning, my colleague Jerry Denlevy did something really valuable. He went back to all the books, all the op-eds, all the interviews that Hillary Clinton and her top leaders gave during and after the 2016 election. And guess what? They confessed to exactly what the Russians allegedly intercepted. They acknowledged that in late July, Hillary Clinton herself admits that she approved a plan. She started portraying Donald Trump as a Russian stooge of Vladimir Putin. Then all of her lieutenants would go out and echo that. They worked the media. They went out with Christopher Steele’s dossier and the bogus Alfa Bank allegations that were distributed by a Democratic lawyer named Michael Sussman. And so the denials now literally contradict what she said. Right now, what she said back in 16 and 17, what her aides said back in 16 and 17 matches the Russian intel. And what seems to be disinformation now are the denials that we’re hearing from her. When that plan gets put into place, the first guy that comes out of the chute saying Donald Trump’s got a Russia problem is the vice president, Joe Biden. He goes out on the 26th, 27th, 28th, in fact, makes a big part of his speech at the Democratic National Convention. Donald Trump has a Russia problem. So he’s the first guy out of the block, and by the way, The John Durham report, right after it looked at the Russian intercept that suggested that Hillary Clinton approved this plan, he went and got text messages. And sure as heck, those text messages said that Hillary Clinton’s first overture was to Joe Biden’s office to see if he’ll get out of the box and run the Russia scam for us. That is now confirmed in text messages. So Joe Biden comes out of the box roaring, and then the rest of the Hillary Clinton team follows him and takes his lead. Meanwhile, let’s go to the third big name in this. That is John Brennan. John Brennan is alerted in late July that the CIA has intercepted information that the Russians have appeared to know about a Hillary Clinton plan to use Russia collusion to try to take get rid of the email scandal that’s dominating the news and flip through Donald Trump’s liability. And he is so concerned about it, he goes to the fourth big person we should be focused on, Barack Obama. Barack Obama is briefed, and then the entire leadership team of the Obama administration is briefed by early August that the Russians seem to know what Hillary Clinton is up to. Despite all of that, the fifth major player in this drama, the former FBI director, uh james comey allows his fbi to open up and authenticate and create credibility to what is a complete political dirty trick a fake narrative invented by hillary clinton and her team simply to get the negative limelight off of her emails and there so your big five guys are these are the five that have been that are being looked at all of them that is their role and by the way the evidence is pretty strong
SPEAKER 04 :
You know, there’s just no better organization than Just the News to keep up with all of this. And I’m glued to your site. I follow your podcast, John Solomon Reports. The work you guys have done is extraordinary because it’s complicated. And some of it isn’t. You know, I mean, some of it is just doing the work and you guys have you dove into the this declassified material and you’re right about it in a in a in a in a tremendous, tremendously easy to understand way. Just the news dot com. You’ve got to make sure that you’re you’re you’re plugged in the way the way so many of us are. John, I want to ask you a big picture question about a guy like John Brennan, because this this kind of intrigues me. If you served in the government, if you were a government official and you were a CIA director or you worked in the intelligence community, and then you spent your time and then a Republican comes into office and you’re kind of, you know, you leave and you go on about your life. Is your go-to going to be to get an MSNBC gig where you can, on a daily basis, trash the sitting president of the United States. In other words, it’s like we just take stuff for granted. We just, oh, well, John Brennan’s an MSNBC contributor. If that doesn’t speak to his bias, John, I don’t know what does. And my point is, and I feel like the lone voice in the wilderness screaming this out, because sometimes I don’t think we ever talk about this issue enough. These are partisan people. I mean, how do you think if you go to MSNBC and you become a paid contributor, what, you were nonpartisan back when you were a government official? Do you understand my point here?
SPEAKER 12 :
It makes me crazy. yeah listen i think we see this increasingly in the last 10 or 20 years uh in the early part of the intelligence community you know up through the 50s 60s 70s 80s 90s early 2000s most people who went into uh the intelligence community decided when they came out they still wouldn’t show the partisan colors because it would color their work they took an oath of off keep right the secrets of the united secret and the national security interests of the United States secret sometime in the last 10 or 20 years with the rise of cable television, rise of social media. And we started to see these intelligence officers come out and be overtly, overtly political. And I’m sure everybody has their political biases and their political thoughts. But in traditional intelligence world, most of your officers keep that to themselves. John Brennan, James Clapper, James Comey, and others really crossed that Rubicon. And they crossed it specifically to keep the ruse of Russian intelligence, or excuse me, Russian collusion going. They wanted that ruse to keep going. And one of the things you’ll see in Jerry Dunleavy’s great story this morning is Hillary Clinton, before the election, thought that Russia would take Donald Trump down in the election. It didn’t. And then as soon as the election ended, they made a really significant pivot. There’s an incredible op-ed by Jennifer Palmieri, her former communications director, speeches and books. But after she lost, she wanted a plausible deniability that she didn’t lose fairly. She lost because the Russians meddled in the election. And you see all of those same players now going out there and distorting the information a second time to give Hillary Clinton. She didn’t want to have personal responsibility that maybe she should have campaigned more in Wisconsin and Michigan. Nope. She wants to blame it on someone else because Democrats have to be a victim. And here you see that victimology carry into the Trump presidency. I think the original plan was to win the election with Russia collusion. When it didn’t work, the goal was to, one, give Hillary Clinton a plausible deniability why she lost, if she didn’t lose fair and square, and to then make it impossible for Donald Trump And to do that, current and former intelligence officers and FBI officers in this country had to help sustain that plot. I think that’s what troubles us most about John Brennan being on MSNBC. He’s part of the disinformation machine.
SPEAKER 04 :
is the ultimate example of confirmation bias. It really is. It just confirms what it really does. And it’s right under our noses. I mean, I watched over the weekend. For some reason, I went down a rabbit hole and I saw an older series about the American presidents on the History Channel. And it was kind of biased. I mean, it was like it kind of, oh, Ronald Reagan’s trickle-down doesn’t work, and Jimmy Carter was a great president. But I don’t know if you’ve seen it. It’s a pretty good series on taking a look at every one of the presidents. Well, they interviewed Walter Cronkite. And they interviewed Walter Cronkite about a couple of presidents, Reagan and Walter Cronkite, the late Walter Cronkite, Uncle Walter Cronkite. He was a Democrat. He was a lefty. You never knew it. He didn’t show it. And even being interviewed as a retired, beloved news anchor about American presidents on the History Channel, he wasn’t biased. He was very objective. He was very neutral. So I don’t know. I was just thinking about the Brennans and the Clappers and the Comeys of the world and how they’ve really stained their own legacy and their own work. by confirming how sharply partisan they actually are. And doggone it, the CIA director shouldn’t be politically biased, John Solomon.
SPEAKER 12 :
I think that that’s exactly right. And I think you found the co-conspirator in this 10-year effort to mislead the American public. And that is the American media, who also, as you rightly know, the Walter Cronkite, they didn’t aid in the best of politics. They tried to stay neutral arbiters. But on this story and the many that have since followed it, they went all in. The New York Times is still this weekend. running like propaganda, the denial that nothing possibly could happen. This whole Hillary Clinton thing is a Russian disinformation operation. I encouraged the New York Times to maybe go read Jerry Dunleavy’s story. He confessed to exactly, he confessed to exactly what the Russians believe. Listen, there’s always some questions in the way the Russians intercept information. Sometimes when they transmit it, they make some changes to it so that if anyone intercepts it, it’s confusing to them. So it’s possible a specific email or two is a compilation and it’s then assigned to a person. That’s how they transmit stuff to make sure their enemies don’t intercept it. But they stumbled onto Hillary Clinton’s plot. And that’s why it was so important to brief President Obama in the summer of 16. The gang found out, oh, my gosh, our plot has already been uncovered by the Russians, and that’s why everybody had to get notified. If it was disinformation, they wouldn’t have taken the time to brief the president and the top leadership team of the national security apparatus of the Obama administration. But the news media was an aider and better then. They leaked the Steele dossier and reported it before they knew if it was true. They went with lots of anonymous leaks that are clearly wrong. They rewarded themselves with bogus stories with Pulitzer Prizes. And then they spent most of the last eight years denying that they got it wrong. And I think they are right alongside of John Brennan and Hillary Clinton and James Comey. And the team couldn’t have pulled off what they did if they didn’t have an aiding and abetting American news media.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, everybody should be reading Jerry Dunleavy’s piece, and you should be following Just the News, because, John, you and your team just are doing incredible work. You’re best ever, and I appreciate you so very much. Justthenews.com. Follow John at jsolomonreports on X. John, great to see you, and thanks for visiting with us. Keep fighting the good fight, my friend. All right, take care.
SPEAKER 12 :
I love your show. Great to be with you.
SPEAKER 04 :
Thank you. Thank you, John. John Solomon joining us. Very important stuff. And, you know, we’ve got the Jerry Dunleavy piece posted at MikeOnline.com for you to check out. This is so important. And look, the question remains, is there going to be accountability for all this? You know, the journalists like John Solomon and Jerry Dunleavy, they can do the heavy lifting and make the world aware of what has gone down. Now it’s going to be up to the people in charge to hold some of these nefarious actors accountable. Will it happen? Time will tell. PhD weight loss has changed my life, and I’ve got a little secret for you. You know Big Pharma and semaglutide and the shots in the belly. SPEAKER 09 :
The people of New York have to get off their couch and get out there and vote. You know, voting and elections have consequences. If they all sit on their couches and everybody in New York doesn’t vote, then that’s what they’ll get. They’ll get a communist. And fortunately, you know, you have Donald Trump in the White House, so he’s not going to give this guy any money. But these people in New York had better get off their butts and get out there and vote and make sure this communist doesn’t run New York City.
SPEAKER 08 :
On Salem News Channel and Salem Radio Network, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 04 :
There’s a very good possibility that a communist is going to run New York City. I hope, hey, I hope Curtis Sliwa, Mike, make a move. He apparently ditched the beret. You know, we said this weeks ago, if Curtis would consider giving up that red beret, maybe he’d have a better shot as the Republican mayor of New York City. Not that there’s anything comical or wrong about the Guardian Angels. He’s very proud of that organization, as he should be. But let’s face it, a lot of people are going to be uncomfortable in New York pulling a lever for mayor with a guy who wears an outfit or a costume or a hat or whatever. A branded uniform, if you will. And time for Curtis to lose the beret. And he’s got great, great ideas, great vision. The idea that the world’s most prominent cities could be led by a cop-hating communist like Zoran Mamdani… always makes me return to what I feel we’re experiencing. And that is a spiritual war. This is absolute good versus evil. And before you roll your eyes at me, do you think communism is evil? Do you think an ideology as destructive as communism is good or evil? I mean, this is a battle, and we see this every day. The starvation of the Israeli hostages by Hamas. The deaths of all the Palestinians due to the actions of Hamas. It’s good versus evil. An argument right now in America about illegal immigration. And It’s with that belief that I have in my heart. And if you don’t agree with me, if you want to challenge me, I’m fine with that. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. We throw our phones open to you. We started the hour today a little bit unusual with a rare guest here on the Mike Gallagher Show with John Solomon. But if you agree with me that we are in a battle of good versus evil right now in our culture, all around us, we are surrounded by this spiritual warfare. I thought about that in church yesterday. I thought every hour of every day seems consumed by people committed to evil. Young executive last week in New York City, Blackstone CEO, she gets gunned down. A mother, a wife, a daughter, a friend, a beloved woman. Because she was the CEO of Blackstone, people on the left were cheering her murder. Luigi Mangione has a gazillion dollars in his GoFundMe account. People are paying for his legal defense. He gunned down, according to the authorities, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare. And because people don’t like healthcare insurers, somehow they think brutally slaying a husband and father is admirable. Evil is being characterized as good. And so, with that in mind, I wanted to play for you the classic Paul Harvey essay called If I Were the Devil. Now, just keep in mind, as you hear the late, great Paul Harvey’s words, this came from 1965. In 1965, that’s 60 years ago, Paul Harvey said, delivered one of his most eloquent monologues. You tell me if 60 years later, his words don’t ring true today, maybe even now more than 1965. I give you the classic Paul Harvey’s, If I Were the Devil.
SPEAKER 06 :
If I Were the Devil. If I were the prince of darkness, I’d want to engulf the whole world in darkness. And I’d have a third of its real estate and four-fifths of its population. But I wouldn’t be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree. The. So I’d set about however necessary to take over the United States. I’d subvert the churches first. I’d begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve. Do as you please. To the young I would whisper that the Bible is a myth. I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what’s bad is good and what’s good is square. And the old I would teach to pray after me, our father, which art in Washington. And then I’d get organized. I’d educate authors in how to make lurid literature exciting so that anything else would appear dull and uninteresting. I’d threaten TV with dirtier movies and vice versa. I’d peddle narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. I’d tranquilize the rest with pills. If I were the devil, I’d soon have families at war with themselves, churches at war with themselves, and nations at war with themselves, until each in its turn was consumed. And with promises of higher ratings, I’d have mesmerizing media fanning the flames. If I were the devil, I would encourage schools to refine young intellects, but neglect to discipline emotions. Just let those run wild. Until before you knew it, you’d have to have drug-sniffing dogs and metal detectors at every schoolhouse door. Within a decade… I’d have prisons overflowing. I’d have judges promoting pornography. Soon I could evict God from the courthouse, then from the schoolhouse, and then from the houses of Congress. And in his own churches, I would substitute psychology for religion and deify science. I would lure priests and pastors into misusing boys and girls and church money. If I were the devil, I’d make the symbol of Easter an egg and the symbol of Christmas. A bottle. If I were the devil, I’d take from those who have and give to those who wanted until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. And what’ll you bet? I couldn’t get whole states to promote gambling as the way to get rich. I would caution against extremes in hard work, in patriotism, in moral conduct. I would convince the young that marriage is old-fashioned. that swinging is more fun that what you see on tv is the way to be and thus i could undress you in public and i could lure you into bed with diseases for which there is no cure in other words if i were the devil i just keep right on doing what he’s doing wow wow isn’t that powerful
SPEAKER 04 :
We should send that out on our MyPillow text line. Tracy, let’s do that. And give Tracy about three minutes to turn it around. We’ll give you a key word here. And you can get that recording from 1965 from Paul Harvey. You know, I was thinking about him talking about, boy, if things keep getting worse and will have metal detectors and bomb-sniffing dogs in every school. I guarantee you they didn’t have any metal detectors in schools in 1965. He was anticipating how bad things might get. How many schools now have to have metal detectors? How many schools today have bomb-sniffing dogs? That was 60 years ago. Aren’t we in a fight of good versus evil? Or am I overstating this? Let’s spend a couple of minutes on this. 800-655-MIKE, 17 minutes before the hour. I want to get your voice on here. Here, flood my phone lines because I want to find out if you think I’m out to lunch here or am I right. This is an existential, cultural, spiritual war. We are at war, and sometimes it takes my breath away. You’re going to donate to the Luigi Mangione Defense Fund? You’re going to celebrate the death of a young female executive in midtown Manhattan? You’re going to vote for a communist to run the city of New York? You’re going to push back against Trump’s efforts to secure the border and fulfill a promise of expecting people to obey our laws and not flaunt their illegal immigration status? Really? I mean, there’s so much to me that is about good versus evil, right versus wrong. These aren’t policy differences. This is a spiritual… Epic battle. We’re partnering with our friends at the nonprofit relief agency Food for the Poor and rushing emergency relief kits to these flood-ravaged part of the world. 128 people confirmed dead. Many, many more are still missing. As you know, President Trump and the First Lady visited the flood zone in Texas over the weekend. As you can hear, he was pretty emotional. You can hear in the sound of his voice about what he witnessed. They lost everything.
SPEAKER 05 :
their child or two children and just hard to believe what, I’ve never seen anything like it, a little narrow river that becomes a monster.
SPEAKER 04 :
Now, as the president observed, We’re all grieving. There’s been such a terrible loss of life. Entire communities are still being impacted. There are flooded out homes. There are closed businesses. And there are many still displaced, and they desperately need your help. Now, there is a Help Texas banner on my website, MikeOnline.com, where you can make a secure online donation. Please help us rush emergency relief kits to Texas. These kits contain tarps, hygiene items, diapers, children’s activity materials, and other essentials needed to ease the crisis for these poor people. Food for the Poor, in coordination with a trusted partner in San Antonio, has responded to the central Texas flooding. Nobody responds like the Mike Gallagher audience. Right now, already $13,000 in the first day or two. of donations have come in. We have a sort of an unofficial goal of 40,000. In my heart of hearts, we’ll soar past that goal. Let’s support our fellow Americans. Let’s support the Texans who have been through so much. Please go to mikeonline.com and click on the Help Texas banner. You can also phone in your donation. And a lot of people do that. Just call 844-860-HOPE. That’s 844-860-4673. Thank you for supporting these poor families who’ve been through so much. Again, you can go to MikeOnline.com and click on the Help Texas banner or call 844-860-HOPE, 844-860-4673. Tyler’s in Delaware. Tyler, welcome.
SPEAKER 08 :
Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 04 :
22 past the hour, and I’m struggling to see some of the text messages. Speaking of my ex-account, check out my new glasses. I don’t have them on me yet. I got to go to the doctor tomorrow, but I know the kind I’m getting. My buddy, I’ve got a friend in Texas, Stephen Jones, who said, Mike, you need glasses. You got to get… Lindbergh frames. I thought, I don’t want glasses. I hate wearing glasses. I hate the whole process. But that’s okay. I went to the optometrist guy the other day and tried on a pair and I think they look pretty good. You can barely see them. Because I wanted the most unobtrusive glasses I could find. And I hate to give a plug to this company, Lindbergh. I think they’re out of Sweden. I think it’s a Swedish company, but they’re called Lindbergh. They ain’t cheap. Holy cow. I’m going to pay $2,000 for a pair of glasses that you barely can tell I have on. But I guess that’s the point, right? So stay tuned for my glasses. I try them on at the optometrist. Check that out and you can vote on my new look at Gallagher’s show. So I’m going to squint here. I’m going to squint at the MyPillow text line. California writes, the Amy Klobuchar video that you posted is funny because it’s true. It is pretty accurate. Connecticut. Get them all out. If they wish, they can re-enter legally and pursue citizenship. But here’s one with a different point of view. If they have been here for years, no criminal record here or in their country of origin, they are an asset to our country. Give them a pathway to citizenship. Now, This may be very telling or revealing. That text came, hate to indict an entire city, because not everybody in Chicagoland is a leftist. I’m not even saying this person is a leftist. But that text, believing that illegals who have not faced criminal charges should be allowed to stay, they’re an asset to America, that text came, indeed, from Chicago. Paul in Pennsylvania. We’ll start there. 25 past the hour. Number is 800-655-MIKE. Hello, Paul. How are you doing?
SPEAKER 13 :
Hello. How are you?
SPEAKER 04 :
I’m good. I’m good. Where do you stand on the issue of this mass deportation?
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, I’ll explain it to you the way I explained it to several people at a local club that I’m a member of. I have two sons. They both fell in love with foreigners. One moved to a foreign country. He lived there for eight years. He started three businesses. And for eight years, he flew back home, not to see me because his family was there, but because the law of the country said he had to leave within whatever the time frame of the visa. I think it was five months. So for eight years, when he’d fly back to that country, I won’t mention the country because I don’t want to get too personal.
SPEAKER 04 :
I don’t want to get in trouble.
SPEAKER 13 :
Before he left the airport, he rebooked his flight so that he had a return flight before his time was up. So if they ever knocked on the door, he said, oh, yeah, I’m not leaving tomorrow. Here’s the date that I’m leaving.
SPEAKER 04 :
In other words, he dotted every I and crossed every T and respected the country he moved to by following their rules.
SPEAKER 13 :
And he was an asset to that country because he started three businesses and employed, you know, at some point over the years, it was more than 50 people, but it was at least 50 people that he employed.
SPEAKER 04 :
What a powerful reminder of the way to do this the right way. Thank you, Paul. Appreciate it very much. Mick in Arison, Arkansas. Hey, Mick, welcome to the show. How are you?
SPEAKER 03 :
Hey, Mike. Thanks for taking my call. Hey, man. I am all for the mass deportation. And, you know, if that’s a civil event, when they come across, these guys are not coming across just to be a tourist and spend their money on our country. They’re coming across for jobs. So that’s going to lead to fraud. They’re either going to get a Social Security number fraudulently or they’re going to mark on an application that they’re here legally to work. And, you know, that’s a criminal offense in my eyes. So either way, I think the point.
SPEAKER 04 :
Appreciate the call. I think you and I are, I think we’re on in the majority here, but I could be wrong. Let’s keep going here. 800-655-MIKE. And I got to bring you up to date on these coward Democrat Texans who fled to Chicago of all places so they don’t have to have a quorum to vote on redistricting in the state of Texas. Every single day it’s a joy to remind you that portions of our show are sponsored by MyPillow. As you know, our friend Mike Lindell, big legal victory last week. He’s been in a ton of hot water, as you know, because he believes in election integrity. Of course, due to his friendship with President Trump. Well, last week there was a $5 million vote. judgment against Mike that was overturned by the courts. Good news for MyPillow. So you keep praying for MyPillow, and you keep supporting this great American company. The premium MyPillow, limited time, great price, $18.98. If you go to MyPillow.com, this pillow is a godsend. On January 5th, 2017, he presided over a meeting in the White House where the FBI had just cleared Mike Flynn of any wrongdoing, and they schemed in that meeting how they might be able to jam up Mike Flynn. And they came up with the idea, we’ll lure him into an interview, catch him into a lie, and then prosecute him that way. Barack Obama now is about to face a potential similar situation as the one he created unfairly for Mike Flynn.

That’s the great John Solomon from Just the News. Gosh, I’m in a great mood today. Hope you are, too. In fact, Eric, you had some bumper music going into the break. This brings back, this is the soundtrack of my youth. This is probably a one-hit wonder. Who was this? Do you remember? Was this Gallery? I used to love this song. When I pretended to be a DJ, I played this on the record player. Oh, it’s so nice to be with you. I love all the things you say and do. I don’t love all the things you say and do. It’s nice to hear you say. It’s not always nice to hear you say. Please meet in every way. I used to love this song.
SPEAKER 09 :
I got no notion of cause and composure in my soul.
SPEAKER 04 :
Thank you, Eric. The John Solomon interview from earlier today is available now at MikeOnline.com. So check it out if you missed it. Good chat about the great work Just the News is doing and Jerry Dunleavy who wrote a piece about, you know, the first guy to advance the phony Russia collusion hoax, you know who it was? It was Joe Biden. You know, the Democrats hope that we won’t remember, that we won’t pay attention. And look, with all the information that’s being shoved down our throats, how can we? But great work. And my conversation with John Solomon, great podcast on the Salem Podcast Network and justthenews.com. We’ll have it posted for you at mikeonline.com. Make sure you get our podcast. I think we’re going to have a good long-form conversation with Alex Marlow from over at Breitbart. So that’s coming up as well. Should we play the Amy Klobuchar? I’m looking at the comments posted right now at X. Mary writes, my senator is actually dumb enough to actually say stuff like this. If you follow her X account, it’s amazing what she puts out there every day. Lisa from Queens writes, Mike, I don’t think it’s AI. I think Amy Klobuchar really said that. It’s not fake. Mark said, I saw you mention this on your show. This is awesome. This is exactly how the left sounds right now. And somebody else said, this little diatribe by Amy Klobuchar, who’s probably the dumbest person ever to represent Minnesota, is hilarious. And it’s all you need to know about her and her policies. Did you see it, Christian? Can we get away with it? I don’t think we can get away with it. It’s too much. First of all, you’ve got to bleep stuff. Because I don’t think she, I hope she didn’t actually say it. Now I’m starting to wonder. But we’re at a point where we don’t even know what’s real and what’s not. Look, if I told you that a communist is on the verge of running the city of New York, Earthlogic would say, well, that’s not possible. Not even New Yorkers are stupid enough to vote for a communist. But apparently they are. This guy’s leading. Zoran Mamdani is leading in all the polls. And he’s real shrewd. Now he’s going around pretending like he likes the police. After years of loathing the police, the guy despises cops. Now he’s pretending he likes them. Because a cop got killed the other day in New York City. So now he’s pretending. He’s smiling. He’s probably going to do another TikTok video where he can pretend that he’s pro-police. The Mamdani story, look, you know what I’m at almost a point of doing? I dread it for New Yorkers. I’ve got dear friends there. I love the city. I almost hope it happens. Because it will be such a rallying cry for normal Americans who are going to say, nope, no more. We’re going to reject the Zoran Mamdani’s. We’re going to reject the Jasmine Crockett’s. We’re going to reject these lunatics who are so out of step with normal Americans, it isn’t even funny anymore. I’ve got to play this for you. You’ve got to hear Jasmine Crockett. She was at an event in Phoenix, because that’s what a Texas congresswoman is supposed to do, right? The state representatives in Texas are now hiding in Chicago so that they don’t have to vote on redistricting. They won’t have a quorum, and they think they can block the inevitable Texas redistricting to try to restore some sanity to the electoral map in the state of Texas. Democrats have had their way with us for so long when it comes to redistricting and gerrymandering. Illinois is one of the most gerrymandered states in America in favor of the Democrats. They’ve pulled this game for years. Well, now Republicans are giving them a dose of their own medicine. And now Republicans are redistricting. It’s happening in Texas, Florida, Ohio. States all over America are redistricting because they can redistrict. Elections have consequences, and if and when that happens, and if the Supreme Court, which is on the verge of making a decision about a Louisiana case, And whether the 1965 Voting Rights Act still justifies creating separate congressional districts that are designed to elect black or Hispanic representatives. That is by definition what Democrats have been doing with gerrymandering. Creating congressional districts that are specifically designed to elect black or Hispanic representatives. The Supreme Court is about to hear this Louisiana case and decide whether racial considerations can play a role in redrawing electoral maps. If the Supreme Court rules with common sense that of course it’s racist and of course this is bizarre and of course it’s outrageous, the Democrats are going to maybe never get a chance to ever get the House of Representatives back again. And they know it. And they know it. So they’re panicking. Here’s Jasmine Crockett. I’m more and more convinced that Jasmine Crockett is like a crisis actor. I don’t even think she’s an actual representative. There’s no way this lady is real. So here’s Jasmine Crockett off in Phoenix at some progressive conference somewhere. describing the 45th and 47th president of the United States as a piece of S. Here’s Jasmine Crockett, this Rhodes Scholar of the United States House of Representatives, doing Texas proud.
SPEAKER 02 :
Because the Supreme Court has paved the way for half the stuff that we see that’s going on. Listen, Donald Trump is a piece of shit. Okay, we know that. Yes, yes. He is. He is. He is. But… in a functioning democracy, he still would not be able to get away with this. But he’s been able to get away with this because the House Republicans are complicit. He’s been able to get away with this because Senate Republicans are complicit. But most importantly, The courts, especially the Supreme Court, is complicit. And so I think one of the places that we have to start is we are absolutely, they are the highest court in the land, and they have no ethics guardrails. Now you go down to the lower courts, and they do. How much sense does that make? When we know that they’re taking money, we have the paper trail. And they refuse to put guardrails on themselves, so it’s time for us to do it for them.
SPEAKER 04 :
There you go. That’s the Democrat Party in 2025. She’s so popular that they brought her to Phoenix to speak like that. She’s so successful. She’s a rising star. One of the best and brightest of the 2025 Democrat Party. There is the Democrat Party in a nutshell. Calling Trump a piece of S. Because they got nothing. You know the old proverbial joke about how they kept saying the walls are closing in on Trump? Again, projection. The walls are closing in on them. They know it. They got nowhere to go here. So in Texas, where the redistricting is going to happen, they are literally, they got on a private plane, which costs a fortune. I want to know about the private plane. I want to know who paid for the private plane. A $40 million jet. According to Eric Daugherty over on X, this jet costs $15,000 an hour or more to rent. The Texas Democrats raised the money. They’re having their trip orchestrated by out-of-state actors, and they flew out of Texas so they could avoid the vote, so they could miss the vote and fail to provide a quorum for the state of Texas voting on redistricting. They’ve done this crap before. Last time, they only went to the neighboring state of Oklahoma. This time, they’re saying, oh, go big, go home. Let’s go to Chicago. Chicago! Illinois, where the redistricting is at comical levels. They’ve gerrymandered on a comical level in the state of Illinois. And I’m sure Jasmine Crockett thinks that’s just great. Dennis is in Greenville, South Carolina, 16 before the hour. Hi, Dennis. Welcome aboard. How are you?
SPEAKER 05 :
Hey, thank you. You call her Jasmine. I call her Daisy Crockett. Daisy is the exact opposite of David Crockett. But I’ve got another concern or question about the immigrants leaving the country, all of them leaving the country. Sure. You have no problem with those who came, who stay, and who work hard, correct?
SPEAKER 04 :
No, I have a lot of problem with anybody who came into the country illegally, big time.
SPEAKER 05 :
No, no, no, no, no. I’m not talking about illegal. I’m talking about legally came in across the state.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, no, of course. Listen, my grandparents were immigrants.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yes, and we all pretty much agree upon that. I do like the fact that they can go back. If they go back and try to come back to the United States to be legal, what kind of percentage do you think is that going to be?
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, it’s a good question. I have no idea. What I do know is we blurred the line between illegal and legal immigration. And it’s time that we stop it. We knock it off 15 minutes before the hour. Jasmine Crockett. Wow. Piece of S. That’s the president of the United States. And they’re proud of this. They’re proud of fleeing the state in Texas to try to block the redistricting vote. This is the state of the Democrat Party. They are a clown show, and everybody knows it.
SPEAKER 07 :
Out in these parts, some folks call it radio. We call it the last campfire of the American spirit. Stoke the fire of freedom with American Ground Radio with Louis R. Avalone and Stephen Parr. SPEAKER 10 :
Now, Lonnie Anderson, the great Jennifer Marlowe, the blonde bombshell. She and Farrah Fawcett, I guess, were the blonde bombshells of the 70s. Lonnie Anderson passes away over the weekend, a couple of days shy of her 80th birthday. Were you a big KRP guy, Mike?
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, sure I was. And, you know, the back story of her taking the job is fascinating. She was never a blonde. She was a brunette. And they, you know, wanted her to be the platinum blonde, you know, push-up bra. And she didn’t want to do that role. She said, I don’t want to just be kind of a sex object. Well, then they explained to her, well, yeah, but you have to understand the twist on it is you’re the smartest person in the room. You’re the smartest person. voice of reason in this radio station full of zanies and loonies and by the way when I watch WKRP I don’t even see a sitcom I see a documentary yeah That’s our business.
SPEAKER 10 :
It’s a reality show.
SPEAKER 04 :
That is absolutely our reality show.
SPEAKER 10 :
You’ve got Gary Sandy, who is Andy, what, Travis, the long-suffering program director, with a zoo of staff around him. And these are, this is probably underappreciated. When we talk about the top, you know, 10 sitcoms, or the top, you know, we talk about ensemble casts like Mary Tyler Moore, like All in the Family, and properly so. But you take Howard Hesselman as Dr. Johnny Fever. Richard Sanders as Les Nesman doing news. As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly. Frank Bonner as sleazy sales manager Herb Tarlick. Bailey Quarters. I’ve got to tell you, I had as much a crush on her as I did Lonnie Anderson. She was the promotions director. This was 78 to 82, which is like right as I’m getting out of college and getting into actual radio. Now, you were 18 when KRP started. You were already knocking out talk shows in Ohio, weren’t you?
SPEAKER 04 :
In a local station in Ohio. And I swear, Herb Tarlick worked there.
SPEAKER 10 :
Without wearing that jacket. Wearing that jacket.
SPEAKER 04 :
I’m telling you.
SPEAKER 10 :
The great Lonnie Anderson.
SPEAKER 04 :
In fact, where I’m from, Dayton, there was a connection there. As I recall, the guy that played the station manager, what was his name?
SPEAKER 10 :
Gordon Jump. Gordon Jump. Wonderful character actor.
SPEAKER 04 :
Pretty sure he’s from Dayton.
SPEAKER 10 :
Arthur Carlson.
SPEAKER 04 :
If I’m not mistaken, he was from Dayton. But anyway, yeah, that’s sad news about Lonnie Anderson. Rest in peace. Talk about sad. This story with the Texas Democrats. Mark, I don’t… I don’t think you’re as incredulous about this as I am. I’m telling you, the idea that Texas Democrats are going to flee to Illinois, a state where the Democrats have abused gerrymandering to comical levels. It’s almost like a comedy in Illinois, what they’ve done with gerrymandering. And that’s where they go? They go to Chicago? Why don’t you go to Hawaii?
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, they fled to Oklahoma before for a past controversy because that was like right next door. All they had to do was get out of the state. And they were worried that we’d have state police guys go and drag them back to Austin. I guess they’re farther away in Illinois. But you’re right. Don’t go to a state that is the obvious flip side of the sin that you’re trying to identify. Illinois has been horribly disadvantaging Republicans for years.
SPEAKER 04 :
And Chicago, the murder capital of the world. So that’s good. Make sure you dodge the bullets there, Dems. Look, I think Greg Abbott, I think he’s got the futz around and find out mentality on this. Now, here’s the thing. This could be a setup. If Republicans don’t deliver on the promise of accountability, there’s going to be a lot of outrage, Mark. You’ve got to do something. And there’s tons of stuff they can do. I’ve been reading about it over the weekend. They can strip them of all of their committee chairmanships. Yep. strip them of their parking privileges, strip them of their, well, hey, that’s a big deal when you go to work. Parking is parking. Parking is parking. That’s big. Their offices, their office locations. But look, how about arresting them? I mean, how about at least, that’s what Greg Abbott seems to be alluding to, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, I think the first notion is that we will consider that they have vacated their office. It is a willful decision that says, I am no longer choosing to be a state representative in Texas. So it might be time to go, well, we have a vacancy here, time for some special elections. Maybe that will get their attention.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, you know, you said it best. It’s all they’ve got. But more than that, nothing screams courage. like abandoning your post and hiding in another state like Illinois to block a vote. And they’re bragging about it. I’m popping up on social media. They’re all taking selfies.
SPEAKER 10 :
And it’s being identified as courage. The people who love that they’re, or just love, they’re just, it’s all they’ve got, are identifying it as courage. They are bravely standing up to their, speaking truth to power. They are, they’re, they’re like the guy in front of the tank in Tiananmen Square. Oh my gosh. Oh, even invoking a Texas courageous from the Battle of Gonzales, saying if that’s what you’re going to do, Governor Abbott, if that’s what you’re going to do, that we have a four-word reply, come and take it, which is from the famous Battle of Gonzales and the cannon that we warned the Mexicans to try to come and take.
SPEAKER 04 :
Let’s see if you’ve got some Republicans with some cojones there, and we’ll see, because we’re going to find out. They might be finding out. Meanwhile, I was looking at Axios this morning, and Florida Axios was talking about the fact. that detainments and deportations of illegals without criminal records, they love to scream about that, right, is rising here in Florida. Nationally, on the average, it’s about 47% right now. And it’s rising to around 30%, 35% here in Florida. And then Axios said something that really got the wheels turning as I was trying to process what they were reporting on. Axios says… You know, being an undocumented immigrant is not a crime on the criminal level. It’s a civil matter. But then what’s fascinating is if you go – I thought, wait a minute. Yes, it is. Wait a minute. Well, what they’re saying is, and you’ve got to kind of parse this a little bit. Go ahead. Take us through it. So if you don’t properly file documentation and you’re here illegally and you’re not truthful about your immigration process, that is definitely criminal. If you’ve been deported and you come back, that is definitely criminal. But here’s the funny thing. When you look at the civil explanation of illegal immigration, just Wikipedia, right? Google it, right? Every place it says it’s a civil crime or a civil penalty, but that penalty is, wait for it, deportation. So, I mean, even if you connect the dots, yeah, I mean, I may not be a lawyer here. I’m no Hugh Hewitt. Well, I’ll tell you one thing I can figure out is if even Wikipedia is saying, well, yeah, but if you do it, you face deportation. Well, that’s what we’re doing. We’re deporting people whether they’ve committed. I mean, let’s face it. There are many people uncomfortable with illegals who don’t have a criminal record being deported. I’m not. Why would they be uncomfortable with it? Why? Because they feel like they’ve been here for years. They haven’t caused any trouble.
SPEAKER 10 :
And that’s not really what Trump’s… Well, haven’t set fire to a building or stabbed somebody. It causes trouble to overtax our social services. That’s right. It causes trouble to overtax our health care. And I don’t mean tax with tax money. I mean to overburden the various systems that must take care of these people by virtue of them just being here. So…
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, you’re right. You’re totally right. But I’m just acknowledging the way people, and I get it, people with a big heart say, wait a minute, here’s Guadalupe over here. She’s cleaning toilets in a hotel. She’s been here for 30 years, never committed a crime, but she is here illegally. And, you know, I mean, how does that even work? How does she get, when she gets paid, is the hotel paying her under the table? Are they paying her? Are they taking out Social Security taxes? Are they taking out, you know, how does that even play out? You can’t be here illegally. Sorry. Whether you’re, like you said, whether you’re going to shoot somebody or whether you’re doing janitorial work. Meanwhile, Trump is now squeezing states, many of them red states, on allowing this continual scam of in-state college tuition for illegal students. Yep. It’s about time. I mean, Mark, why should your kid, if your kid wants to go to school in, God forbid, California, you’ve got to pay out-of-state tuition for Ethan to go to California. Yep. If he’s an illegal from Guadalajara.
SPEAKER 10 :
Living in Los Angeles.
SPEAKER 04 :
Living in Los Angeles, he gets in-state tuition. Okay, that makes sense. No, it doesn’t. It doesn’t. It doesn’t make sense. And normal, I just see these stories. I mean, all of it makes my head explode. It’s like, why is this so hard for people? Common sense is in short supply right now. There’s no, it’s like giving any tax benefits to illegal. What do you mean you’re going to give benefits to illegal immigrants ahead of American citizens? Stop it. Stop it. So anyway, that’s my rant for the day.
SPEAKER 10 :
There you go. Very good. Hey, on the Culture Beat, did two movies over the weekend. One I didn’t even know I was going to do until like a day ahead of time. But the first one I did, I was anticipating this heavily. Were you a huge fan of the Leslie Nielsen Naked Gun franchise?
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 10 :
Police Squad was the TV show, and they had all those wonderful naked gun movies. Just fantastic. With the great George Kennedy. O.J. Simpson was in some of them. And there’s a comedy throwback to that in the new one. I anticipated the new one with Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson, who are romantically involved in the movie and now romantically involved in real life. So that’s very cool. So I went in there with expectations really high, probably too high. It’s good. It’s good. It’s really good. It’s silly and stupid and all the right ways. It hits all the right notes. He’s really good. She’s fantastic. But ultimately, it’s a writing problem that keeps it from being. And maybe there is a thing called the fog of memory. Do you think that some of the movies that you loved in the 70s, 80s, even 90s, that’s 30 years ago, that you loved then but we haven’t revisited? Do you think we remember them too fondly? And when you go back and you revisit them, you go, wasn’t that great? I revisited Airplane. Bye. Robert Hayes and still, boy, does it still work. Boy, does it still work. The Naked Gun ones, I’m sure, do too. This one, it’s a B. It’s good. Comedy is very subjective. I’m not saying don’t go. It’s not bad. But it’s the other one. So we’re looking at previews, and I see something. Where are you on scary movies, horror movies? Are they appealing? I find that they are appealing to me less, especially the sort of the slasher, the gratuitous nonsense.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 10 :
There’s a thing called Together with Dave Franco and his Allison Brie, who they are married in real life. And they better be in view of what they got to do in this movie. And I don’t even mean necessarily graphically sexually, although there is that. It is unbelievably clever. So it’s called Together. And it was wonderful. And it was really, really, really something.
SPEAKER 04 :
You know what? But let me say something about the scary movie genre stuff. Yes. There’s a comic, a young comic, who I think is hysterical. I just see clips of him. Have you ever heard of Matt Reif? Oh, genius.
SPEAKER 10 :
I’ve seen all of his stand-up specials. Nobody clever. He does one that’s nothing but crowd work, just walks out and interacts with people.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s what he’s great at. He works with the crowd. Absolute genius. So a young guy, and apparently he just sold out Madison Square Garden. Comedy.
SPEAKER 10 :
Comedian Nate Bargatio put 20,000 people in the AAC later this year.
SPEAKER 04 :
So he apparently is a fan of horror movies and scary genre paranormal stuff. He bought the house that houses Annabelle, the supposedly haunted doll. And it’s in Connecticut, all right? And the guy that’s kind of associated with that is a paranormal investigator who mysteriously died a couple of weeks ago while being around the doll, you know, which is kind of scary. So he dies. The house is for sale. Matt Rife, with a business partner of his, goes in and buys the house, and he buys all of these artifacts and paranormal stuff. He’s really into that stuff. But some of that stuff scares me. I think some of that’s demonic.
SPEAKER 10 :
It is. No. That makes me nervous. The devil is real. The enemy is real. But I think all of that is completely nonsense. There’s one other thing I can appreciate in the horror genre, and that’s the ones that have kind of a sense of humor where they’re just having some fun with you. You remember the first Final Destination movie where folks miss a plane and the plane crashes, but they’re supposed to die. So they do anyway in various graphic ways. That was like 20 years ago. I don’t know. They made six of them. I’ve missed all of them. But the most recent was called Final Destination Bloodlines. It was hilarious and horrific and wonderful. I enjoyed that one, too.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s like the scream. The scream genre is like horrifying but funny, you know, bloody and all that, but a little bit of humor. All right, we’ve covered it all. Not quite, but we’re ready to go.
SPEAKER 10 :
Happy Monday. We are ready for you, and we are ready to see what is on Mike’s big talk show brain, and that is at 10 as soon as we are done right here on 660 AM The Answer.
SPEAKER 01 :
Americans may not agree on much, but we agree on Social Security. We all pay in. It ought to be there when we need it. Social Security could face a funding gap in less than a decade, and I don’t want to see a pay cut. I’m with AARP in the fight to protect the Social Security we earned.
SPEAKER 10 :
Pledge to protect Social Security at aarp.org slash we earned it. That’s aarp.org slash we earned it. Paid for by AARP.
