Join us in this compelling episode as we dissect two major terror attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas. This discussion highlights the urgent need to appoint key figures in national security who can effectively protect citizens. Against the backdrop of a seemingly complacent national security framework under Biden, we emphasize the critical role of transparency and the necessity for a shift towards actionable intelligence. Engage with us as we navigate through these turbulent times and propose solutions for a safer future.
SPEAKER 06 :
While the country mourns the New Year’s Day terror attacks, we must confirm Trump’s national security team now.
SPEAKER 04 :
Keeping you informed and engaged now more than ever. This is Sekulow. We want to hear from you. Share and post your comments or call 1-800-684-3110. And now your host, Logan Sekulow.
SPEAKER 06 :
Welcome to Sekulow. Jordan is joining us also remotely. Will Haynes is in studios. Obviously, this is our first show of the new year. So unfortunately, though, we want to wish everyone a happy new year and a blessed new year. Unfortunately, we’re coming with the news, obviously, of the terror attack that happened in New Orleans, Louisiana on New Year’s, early morning New Year’s Day, as well as what looks to be also another terror attack, potential or an attempted terror attack, I’d say, in Las Vegas in front of the Trump Hotel. We’re going to discuss those two things, the updates going on and what we know that led into these. Now, look, look into the video right now of what they’re just releasing from New Orleans of this truck going through and just it’s sadly we’ve seen this now play out on in many different places around the world. I just got back last night from Europe. in the United Kingdom, I was in France and Germany and these things were happening even while we were over there it was happening and I will tell you that the nation here mourns as well as the world. Now, there are some odd links that tie all of this together, and we’re going to discuss that more, but also really the impending Trump administration and what they can do, because this has become not what we strive for in America. I’ve spent New Year’s Eve in New Orleans, Louisiana. I mean, it’s been a while. probably close to 15 years ago, if not longer than that. I had a great time. You always had to keep your guard up. My wife had her phone stolen. Those kind of things happen in those kind of cities. But this will is not what you expect when you go to one of our major cities, one of our major cities that also is involved in celebration for these terrorist attacks to occur.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s right, and we’ll talk with Jordan about this as well, about the legal side, about two what appear to be terror attacks from different motivations. The FBI just put out a statement, so this is breaking news, that at this point there’s no definitive link between the attack here in New Orleans and the one in Las Vegas, even though there are some Interesting similarities and connections, maybe not of causation, but at least of background of the two individuals. We’ll get into that as well. As well as talking with Jordan about the importance of getting the national security team and ones that aren’t necessarily national security in the traditional sense, like the Attorney General, but getting them confirmed as soon as possible. Jordan, the Senate we know are going to be starting taking those steps as soon as next week, but they can’t officially, they can’t vote on a nomination until it’s been transferred by the president, which will happen on January 20th when he is sworn in.
SPEAKER 07 :
Right, so what’s key here is to get the Attorney General in place, Pam Bondi, Pete Hegseth in place, Department of Defense, to get Kash Patel in and FBI. You’ve got to get your, again, Director of National Intelligence, our colleague, Tulsi Gabbard. You’ve got to get them in. And once you get them in, Will, you must get their deputies in as well. They need their three to five top people who can push back on the bureaucracy and the deep state. And it doesn’t mean that you don’t want to bring in people that have different ideas on how to confront this. But A lot of the work here is first cleaning up and making sure that the people advising you inside the bureaucracy aren’t one of the bad actors who have tried these failed policies over years. And unfortunately, in 2025, what do we see first? A return to Islamic terrorism in the United States of America. We have to be on guard. We can be safe, but we’ve got to give President Trump and our government the tools to keep us safe.
SPEAKER 06 :
Absolutely, and we do want to thank you all, obviously, for your donations too at the end of the year. A very special thank you to our ACLJ members, our ACLJ champions. Your support is what keeps us going. It’s because of you we can continue to fight the good fight. Last year, you empowered us to engage in hundreds of legal battles, and I was able to see that even overseas when we were at the ACLJ, and I know You got to see a little bit of that while I was over there. See the incredible work they’re doing as well in Europe. All of our members are writing history with us. We couldn’t have done it without you. Miles of the ACLJ, we want to thank you for your support. We’ll be right back. Welcome back to Secular again. Jordan joining us remotely. Will Haines in studio. Rick Grinnell is going to be joining us later in the broadcast. We’re discussing the attacks that happened on New Year’s Day just yesterday in New Orleans and in Las Vegas and what we can do to help push all of this forward and get us to a next chapter. We know last time President Trump, we saw ISIS pretty much fully eliminated. But we knew with the Biden administration, if you just gave it time, which is what’s been a full term now, that you would see these returns happen. And when these returns happen, you have to be able to figure out a way to thwart this from continuing to happen because it’s not the country you live in. And look, I will say this. I spent quite a bit of time in London over the last couple of weeks and a lot of time with the Muslim and Arab communities there. And they were just as appalled by what’s happening in the name of even their own faith. I think there is a moment here that once again, we can return to some kind of normalcy. When you see this stuff happen and people start calling it out, it’s different than what you feel in America. It’s different than what you see on these streets. Obviously, we know that a city like New Orleans always has crime, always has had issues with crime since it became what it is. But not like this, Jordan. This is not something that we’re used to waking up to. If you told me a couple of people had died on New Year’s Eve in New Orleans, I would not have been surprised. But to get that alert as we were boarding an airplane flying back to America was disturbing. And of course, as we landed, all of the news and all the background of who this person was and what their affiliations were became very clear.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, you know, there were a lot of people from our home state of Georgia there for the game that will be played today, the Georgia Bulldogs. A lot of Notre Dame fans, which have a fan base that’s really international, but certainly national. And I’ve been with friends who work on these issues here. We were going to all try to watch the game tomorrow night as that unfolded, or yesterday, because they weren’t clear about it yet. And then when they announced that that would be over, then Logan… I don’t want people to forget that when you were in Europe, there was another similar attack like this on a Christmas market in Germany using a vehicle. This is the easiest way to kill people in an act of terrorism. But I think what’s different here is that this individual we know had a bigger plan. Because of his military training, he not only said, I’m going to rent this truck that is silent because it’s an electric truck. So he used a… system that many of us probably have used that lets you truly pick out the vehicle you want. A lot of times it’s actually less expensive than the airport rental car situation because it’s like doing an Airbnb for cars. And he picked one that was electric. So he had a huge truck that made very little noise that had tons of torque if you’ve ever driven an electric vehicle for short range. But he was also heavily armed. So he knew at one point that the truck would no longer be able to continue moving, and that he would be jumping out of the vehicle and firing upon people. We know he did shoot at least a couple of police officers. We don’t know if any of the fatalities yet are linked to gunshot wounds, but 35 people are still in the hospital, 15 dead, and there were also explosive devices. And while those might not have gone off, thank God, this was obviously someone who had a multi-tiered terror attack planned. out how did our law enforcement officials miss this when he posted videos online he had that military training he had that link to fort bragg which has got links to this occurring of people being radicalized and on top of that i would just say this is a city that is supposed to be because it is so wild uh on new year’s and almost every night of the year uh the most secure for pedestrians. I mean, they have the largest swath of streets that are totally closed off to vehicles of many cities I’ve ever been to other than maybe Washington DC around the White House, which was done because of terrorism as well. So the fact is I’m not blaming local law enforcement. I do wonder how our intelligence communities are missing this. And I think they’re missing it, Logan, because the narrative that we’ve heard is you can’t use the National Guard on January 6th because there’s too many white supremacists and MAGA people in it. But the actual attacks that we’ve seen, these are all attacks, whether it’s shooting at President Trump twice, or this attack, or the attack in Vegas, these are not conservatives. These are not the traditional white male conservative trying to take and kill liberals. It’s the exact opposite. So we have to get the FBI and all of our other intel agencies thinking a different way, which is that it’s not homegrown extremist white groups that are the number one threat. They exist. They should be monitored. They do carry out acts of anti-Semitism and threaten, so they should be discarded. But I do not want to continue to see a rise of politically connected Islamic terror again in the United States of America, which means we have got to get the president’s team confirmed quickly. There’s no excuses here. have a republican senate we can secure our country we know this vehicle was brought across the border uh in mexico uh don’t know if it there was any reason to stop it there but again because we know that this person was posting things and yet the fbi and other intel agencies had totally missed it they’re never going to be perfect guys but i think that the biden team has been for four years
SPEAKER 06 :
focused on trying to find bad actors that don’t exist in great number because they don’t didn’t want to track islamic terror and now it’s going to be up to president trump and we can’t let it become normalized as you said because look in france uh the christmas market after that attack happened uh where we were which were offices draw spark you could not get within blocks in a car. We had someone who helped us get around. They’re like, look, you can’t do anything. We can’t go over there. And they have police monitoring. Now, look, walking around London, walking around Strasbourg, and you see heavily armed security and police was both… shocking and comforting at the same time because there was like, okay, you felt, and I feel like a city like New Orleans probably should do that. Go to Memphis, go to Beale Street now. You gotta go through security checkpoints before you’re allowed. Is it a sad state of the world? Absolutely. But maybe it’s a necessary state. So what we saw though also was, Will, last night a lot of people A lot of senators started saying, hey, we got to get this done. We got to get the new people confirmed and ready to go pretty much on day one.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s right. And as Jordan brought up as well, that the way that the FBI has been operating over the last four years and really beyond that, this was that two sources told Chad Pergram at Fox News that the FBI had no intelligence on the attacker in New Orleans before the attack. But we know several things. We also know that he had served at Fort Bragg, now Fort Liberty. The other individual at the Trump hotel bombing had also served there. They are saying that they don’t believe they’re connected at this point. But one of the most striking things, Jordan, was the very first incident message from the FBI after this attack was that they didn’t believe it was an act of terror but they already had an ISIS flag that was being flown on the back of that truck in their possession and they went out and tried to control a narrative that they knew they would never get away with but that was the first statement the FBI put out That’s what’s wrong with our FBI is that they are trying to spin a narrative instead of telling the truth, being transparent, and getting to the bottom of it when it’s inconvenient to what they’ve been pushing. Remember, at Fort Bragg, Fort Liberty, we at the ACLJ fought with and got confirmation they were getting rid of a training program where they were training people at Fort Bragg, Fort Liberty, that the domestic terrorists they had to be worried about were pro-life sidewalk counselors or people that were a part of Operation Rescue. That’s the problem with the wokeness in the military and the wokeness in the FBI, afraid of the reality of the world, and that’s what puts Americans’ lives in danger right now.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yes, and I mean, I think that when you honestly look at that, Will, that idea that somehow we’re not going to start with the idea that the guy’s got an ISIS flag, so let’s start with the evidence we have. He carried out about the easiest terrorist attack you can. He has an ISIS flag. He has got radical videos that they found very quickly. So why on earth do you come out to the American people and say that’s the starting point isn’t terrorism? Obviously, if someone is found flying an ISIS flag while plowing into Americans to kill them at a spot intentionally chosen and then jumps out with a rifle to kill more Americans when they’ve got all those things around them? And you’ve got the videos. Why on earth does the FBI have to gaslight the American people? Now, I think people don’t understand the definition of terrorism sometimes, Logan. We’ve kind of got used to this idea that it must be like highly coordinated Islamic terror of airplanes or multiple attackers in these kind of huge events. That’s not the definition of terrorism. So I want to take people out to Vegas, for instance. was rented in front put in front of the trump hotel there in vegas that exploded with gasoline in it so that it would explode that is terrorism as well it might not be islamic terrorism but it is political terrorism because it is it is utilizing symbols of elon musk and the incoming president to send a message that if you support people like this you’re somehow at risk of more threats if these
SPEAKER 06 :
individuals and if you support them you don’t deserve to live that is also an act of terrorism it doesn’t have to be religiously inspired to be terrorism yeah absolutely and there’s a lot of you watching right now and listening on the radio i encourage you to give us a call 1-800-684-3110 phone lines are open this is a great time to call 1-800-684-3110 i know you have a lot of thoughts and a lot of feelings and a lot of emotions uh this morning or yesterday morning and I want to get your thoughts on that coming up. Also, what the New York Times had to say about this. We’ll be right back. Welcome back to Secula. We are taking your phone calls at 1-800-684-3110. As I was traveling yesterday, a lot of this news was breaking. I was seven hours in front in the UK as we traveled back, and I was getting some limited articles about the terrorist attacks that were happening. A lot of them were just push notifications, and I couldn’t get them. So I got a push notification from the New York Times. And it said, breaking news, something to the effect of, I’m going to pull it up right now because I think you should hear the exact words. Because when I read it, I thought as I was traveling, okay, this is a military veteran. That’s who we were talking about here who had made this attack. And again, I hear you. I got it right here. It said… Boom. Breaking news. New Orleans attack suspect was 42-year-old Army veteran. That was the notification. That was the subject line. Okay, so in your head, you can obviously figure that out. You can start putting the piece together. Okay, that’s interesting. Of course, when you clicked on the article, which a lot of people will not… It said, you know, something to the effect of New Orleans attack suspect has Islamic state flag on his truck, an ISIS flag. So the narrative changes almost immediately to what we’re talking about here. And Jordan, that is sort of the problem we’re having with not only the FBI, but also the mainstream press, which is, you know, to tamper down. maybe what they think is the mood, is send them a headline that doesn’t quite make sense. Will, you said there was another one from them about the attack in Las Vegas.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s right. There are many, actually, outlets. There’s people on Twitter, which is Elon Musk’s platform, are sharing the narrative that is being pushed by many outlets that Tesla’s Cybertruck catches fire outside Trump Hotel Las Vegas. One dead after Tesla’s Cybertruck explodes outside.
SPEAKER 01 :
That’s my thought.
SPEAKER 05 :
I got the alert that it exploded. Tesla Cybertruck reportedly catches fire outside Trump Hotel in Las Vegas. So once again, the headlines and honestly, this is unethical journalism. This goes against the Society of Professional Journalism’s guidelines for ethical reporting. When you have a headline that is so dumbed down. that it lacks nuance or details that are important to form the right narrative because they are trying to push a narrative. That is unethical reporting. These headlines are unethical.
SPEAKER 06 :
Who are they protecting? I don’t understand, Jordan. Who are they protecting when you say a cyber truck blew up because it had fireworks in the backseat, a big firework. And then Elon has to come out and go, yeah, there may have been or a bomb. And here’s what it really was, because we’re able to track and see that everything was working fine with this or saying it was a 42 year old military veteran. Again, now we’re just. Now we’re blaming the military instead of really what it is, which is radicalization to a point of not even connected to what’s really happening here, not only in our own country, but around the world. But they’re protecting who their own narrative.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, they’re protecting political correctness, which is that Islamic terrorism has been on the decline. True. But under the Biden administration, we’ve seen wars break out in the Islamic world. And instead of embracing the Abraham Accords and working together on economies, even with Israel and the UAE and other places like that, instead, the Biden administration has kind of let that go. Hopefully, the Trump administration will be able to put that back together very quickly. But Logan, unfortunately, the job of these security agencies is to, one, try to prevent these attacks. And then, two, if these attacks occur, to let the American people know what the threat level is and what is the threat coming from. And if you don’t tell people the truth, you’re gaslighting them. You are lying to the American people. They don’t want the American people to believe that there could be another surge in Islamic terrorism in the United States. Why is that, Logan? Because this is a president who said, you know what, there’s five countries. They called it the Islamic ban. It wasn’t. It was a ban on five countries who could not vet their own people and their own passports when they were going to travel and come to the United States. He did not ban all Muslims or all Muslim countries from travel to the United States. But they know a presence coming in that knows kind of what actions you can take quickly. And those are the kind of actions you can take and say, you know what, we’re not going to let people into our country that don’t have the right documentation. And their countries are failed states because we now know that there are domestic terrorism operating again inside connected to Islamic terrorism. We know the president has been shot at twice by extreme leftist terrorism. We also are going to say likely that’s going to be a third. leftist act of terrorism out in Las Vegas because of the connection to Trump and Elon Musk. So, Logan, that just kills their whole narrative that it’s white conservative males who are the threat to the American people and our democracy. That’s actually the message they ran on the entire political campaign. But you know what we need to know as Americans? If we need to be on the lookout because there has been a tick up in terrorist activity that’s politically or religiously motivated, just tell the truth. And you know what? If that narrative turns out to be not as correct, I’d rather people be safer than worry about upsetting people’s political correctness and their ideas that somehow this Biden administration had made America more secure. This is the example. The Biden administration has made us less secure because they took their eye off the ball of what actually mattered in governing our country.
SPEAKER 05 :
And Jordan, the questions that surround the New Orleans attacker and terrorist are ones that he, what we know already, kind of fits within a profile of someone who gets radicalized. It appears that He had some financial troubles. He had gone through multiple divorces. There’s that isolation. That’s the kind of individual that these terrorist organizations can find, latch onto, and radicalize. The broader question, and mainly I think because I don’t think our law enforcement has done much profiling on this at all over the last four years, are going to be the questions that arise out of this attack in Las Vegas. What we know thus far is this individual, current active duty, was stationed in Germany, either is Special Forces or is adjacent to Special Forces in some way in the Army, so in Green Berets or Rangers. But what happened to radicalize this person to go forward with leftist-inspired violence? We know that there’s some Facebook posts from family members that are anti-Trump. But there’s a lot more questions about what inspired that and how that person was radicalized in that way. And that’s going to be very important. for the incoming team that needs to get confirmed to figure out what that nexus to violence was because that isn’t something our law enforcement has been spending much time on over the last four years because of the narratives and the political correctness you talk about. It isn’t the left that’s committing this violence, so they haven’t spent the time to build up these profiles and understand how this could ever happen in their world.
SPEAKER 07 :
I just want to key in on one word as we go into this next break, and Will, you said it. It’s radicalized. Radicalized doesn’t just mean Islamic. Most often we’ve used it with that terminology because that’s the kind of terrorism we’ve experienced in our lifetime, which has been tied to a radical religious belief. And you also talked about, Will, who they prey on to turn into these suicide attack individuals. They prey on people who have problems. Even most members of ISIS are not this suicidal. They pick on people who they feel like they’ve got nothing to live for and tell them you can do something great that God will reward you for. And that’s who they target. And for this other individual, the Tesla in Vegas, we need to figure out what their radicalization point was too so we can protect ourselves from those kind of individuals as well. We’ll be right back on Sekulow. Taking your calls, 1-800-684-3110. What do you think President Trump needs to do now to make you and your family feel safe? We’ll be right back on Sekulow.
SPEAKER 04 :
Keeping you informed and engaged now more than ever. This is Sekulow. And now your host, Logan Sekulow.
SPEAKER 06 :
This is Logan Sekulow. I want to take your calls today. So give me a call right now. If you’re watching online, even in the chat, I still would like to hear your voice. 1-800-684-3110. I also wanted to thank everyone who supported the ACLJ all in 2024. And we encourage you to support the work continuing in 2025. As I said, I was at the ACLJ, the European Center for Law and Justice. Jordan was there over the summer. I was there over Christmas. And again, they were working. Over Christmas, I was in the office Christmas Eve as the work continued in our offices in Europe. And a lot of times when you see the ACLJ represented at the UN, that is because of the work of the ECLJ. And Jordan, I know that is something that you are heavily involved in there. But as we look at this, as you said, similar attacks have happened in Europe. We’ve also seen the ways that they have countered those in some of the bigger cities. And I think there are ways that we can actually look at how they’ve responded, whether that is in France or whether that is in London, to these sort of major events. You had a London New Year’s Eve, which surpassed 100,000 people, which again, not even as big as sort of Nashville, but but it was very controlled. You had to have a ticket. It was $50 or 50 pounds to get into it. They had brought it down. Alcohol was very limited. Now I know those are things we don’t want to hear about in America. You don’t want to hear the new Orleans is going to, you know, limit the amount of people and limit the amount of drinking, limit those kinds of things. But I’ll be honest, the mood was very positive. There wasn’t this, uh, you know, there was a lot of security. There wasn’t this air of being scared. Um, that I feel like happens in a lot of major cities, especially on these big events where obviously you always have to keep your guard up, but where you don’t feel like something like this can happen. And you brought up those electric cars. London is now, the cabs are electric. And one, they’re so fast. But two, there is that sense of like, that’s where you have to keep your eyes going because you don’t hear them coming.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, I think, listen, we’ve got significant issues now that the Trump team knows they’ve got to handle on day one because the biden team is again one not capable really of governing this is goes against their narratives they’re the they’re the reason why this come these headlines don’t want to tell the truth even though the sub headline does that as you said many people don’t click on so you don’t want to see as an act of islamic terrorism we saw the hate on our college campuses that was forming against the state of israel ultimately logan that kind of hatred when you start demonizing a group of people that way inside the united states of america and in western europe it makes it even easier to radicalize individuals when they see people who don’t share their faith who don’t share their background who don’t have the same color skin or the same type of name who are cheering them on because they are calling the allies of Israel and Israel itself and Zionists and Jews as an enemy worth attacking, like they did on October 7th. So it makes it even easier for those radical groups to recruit these nuts. So I always want to put that together. These radical recruiters are, yes, they believe in a radical theology. They are not putting themselves in this situation. They look for people who have unique skill sets. So maybe form a military and a lot of personal problems that they can convert and convince that if you carry out one of these attacks, you’ll be rewarded by God in heaven and your life will eternally be different. And you’ll be treated as one of the top, you know, you’ll get all that you can out of the faith. Yeah, it is clearly, and these are, these are not normal people then that do that. So you have to say, yes, they’re motivated. They know who to target. So we know all this. We’ve been through it in America. Let’s just get the people in place who can actually start to keep us safe again so that this doesn’t become the norm. This can’t become the norm again in America.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. It’s cult-like manipulation is what’s happening to people who are mentally unwell and people that are financially unwell and people that need help. And they are able to prey on them. Like you said, it’s not even the people themselves doing it. It’s this kind of situation. Phone lines are open. And Rick Winnell is going to be joining us, right, Will?
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s right. Next segment will be joined by the former director of national intelligence who has some insight into this as well. So don’t turn away. Go ahead and like and subscribe if you’re watching on one of our platforms online, YouTube, Rumble, Facebook. And keep watching as we have more information, as well as some calls from some U.S. senators about getting those cabinet members confirmed. We’ll be right back with more on Sekulow.
SPEAKER 06 :
Welcome back to Sekulow. Rick Riddell is going to be joining us in just a moment. Let me know when we have him. We have him. OK, Rick, you are on. I know I’m sure you have a lot to say after this. New Year’s Day morning as we obviously see what happened not only in New Orleans but in Las Vegas and as more information starts to come out about that. And we’ve also seen the mainstream news kind of as always pivot quite a bit. I was telling our audience earlier. I was traveling, I was in London yesterday, and I got the alert that this attack happened in New Orleans. And the first it said was a 42-year-old Army veteran. And of course, then you had to click through to really see the facts and see that he was carrying an ISIS flag and all of these things happened. But if you had just read the headline, it’s not exactly painting the picture that’s true.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, look, let’s summarize something that happened. We had an attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Eve. from an individual driving a truck with an ISIS flag waving in the back. And the FBI spokeswoman says this wasn’t a terrorist attack. If that doesn’t tell you the problems that we’ve faced over the last four years with a woke FBI and a woke intelligence service, then I don’t know what else can prove to you. But we have just allowed 15 million people to illegally come into our country and either be here, illegally break the law. Some are part of sleeper cells, but others are starting to radicalize individuals. We have a problem in our military with individuals becoming radicalized while serving in the U.S. military. This is a red alert for America. We’ve got to clean up DOD. We’ve got to clean up the intelligence agencies, including the FBI. And we need transparency. We need to know why we missed certain issues. And let me just say this very clearly. There’s no possible way that we didn’t have pieces of this individual. We absolutely did have pieces. Matter of fact, he was posting pro-ISIS videos in the hours beforehand. So we need to ask the tough questions as to what happened. Why didn’t we put the pieces together and why didn’t we act sooner? These are legitimate questions and things that we should absolutely get answers from in the 18 days that are left from this current team. I don’t want to just hold my breath for 18 days and just wait for the Trump team to come in. Thank God Donald Trump and his team are moving into the White House. And into the cabinet, but the reality is, is that we still have a team in place running the FBI, running the department of defense, running all of the us government agencies, and we need to hold them to account for the next 18 days. We need answers.
SPEAKER 05 :
And Rick, I mean, the FBI is telling members of Congress, according to Fox News, that they had no intelligence on this person. I find that hard to believe, as you mentioned, because the evidence was out there. It was able to be found pretty quickly. But it comes to the full circle here. These are the types of issues we have been warning about for four years, about the the improper focus of the FBI, the entire narrative that homegrown terror in this country is going to be coming from the far right, from conservatives, that parents at school board meetings are the most dangerous threat to this country. You have the FBI just weeks ago presenting a diploma to someone from the state of Palestine as they announced. It seems like they have been so focused on social engineering, a woke utopia within the federal bureaucracy. that they haven’t done the job that we’ve been warning could happen, and in this case, unfortunately, has happened. And I think it goes to your point. That’s why we need Kash Patel and the Senate to be working on these nominations as quickly and as soon as possible. But we are fortunate in some ways that we haven’t had much more of this type of disaster happen in this country when the policies have been run this way.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I’m very concerned over the next 18 days, including for the inauguration, that we have the current team in place that’s not equipped to keep us safe. And I hate to say it that way, but the reality is that we have too much evidence. They’ve looked the other way with an open border and with a woke agencies. And this is just the beginning. Even when President Trump and Cash Patel and Tulsi Gabbard take over and all of the rest of the team, we still are going to have a problem because we’ve had four years of really looking the other way and not being vigilant. And so we’re going to have to quickly make changes. But I don’t doubt that we are going to face even more terrorist attacks because of the 15 million people that were unvetted that arrived into our country. This is a crisis, and people need to just understand that elections have consequences. And when they elected Joe Biden and his woke team for four years, they made us less safe. Look at the wars. Look at the two wars that that are escalating and getting worse. And the media just does a collective yawn of, you know, oh, well, we’ve got a massive war in Europe that’s not stopping with a nuclear power. We’ve got a massive war in the Middle East where Americans are still held hostage years later. And there’s just a collective shoulder shrug Well, this is the way it is. It’s not the way it’s supposed to be. And now we’re in this huge hole and Donald Trump and his team are going to have to help us climb out of this hole.
SPEAKER 06 :
Not only is it not the way it should be, it wasn’t the way it was. ISIS was destroyed. No one was talking about Islamic terror and actually said in 2020 that I wish President Trump had run more on his success in that way. uh because i said on this broadcast before the biden administration before the term was over that we would be back and we’d be hearing these these stories again we’d have these attacks and sadly my prediction came true and i didn’t want it to become true but you knew when these policies came through that it would happen because they’re praying as jordan said they’re praying on people who this has nothing to do with religion this has nothing to do with ideology but this has to do with is, is people controlling, creating terrorism and, and controlling people who are mentally unwell, people that are having severe issues, whether it’s financially, whatever, and radicalizing them in a way to cause destruction. And yes, they’ve convinced them that it’s in the name of God. But Rick, you’ve been all over the world. You also know that this is not represent your representative of everyone in this faith. Just like when you see a radical Christian, uh, It’s sad. I saw so many people in the Muslim community. There were sweet, kind people that are just so upset that this is how their faith is being portrayed in America because it’s not the same. And these attacks happen. But really, these attacks happen in a way that could be stopped. And hopefully even with your new position with President Trump. in the Trump administration and your connection with your new position, this will be able to be stopped once again.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, we’re certainly going to work hard to fix this problem and to turn the ship around, so to speak. I do believe, you know, we touched on the fact that the Biden team is saying that they didn’t have actionable intelligence. There’s a difference between saying they didn’t have any intel and that they didn’t have any actionable intelligence. And what that means is we saw it, but we didn’t really know what it meant. And when there’s videos being posted by the guy who works for the U.S. military saying that I’ve been radicalized, hello, that’s actionable intelligence. We have a system in Washington where nobody can get fired because of this woke mentality of the civil service rules. And that’s one of the things that we have to change. When someone doesn’t do their job, they need to be fired. When someone is radicalized, they need to be fired. When someone is totally incompetent or partisan and not following what the president’s Orders are, they need to be fired. And that’s what I’m hoping that we return to.
SPEAKER 05 :
And Rick, we also hope that that is what we return to. But there is a big fight ahead because we need these picks confirmed and we need the deputies confirmed as well. The deep state doesn’t go away at noon on January 20th. As a matter of fact, as you would know, sometimes that’s when the fight gets even harder. And we’ve got about a minute left here.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, I think there’s no question. I tend to believe that the majority of people in the system are going to salute the president and follow orders. But we have too many people who won’t do that, who are political, who are going to try to stop the president. And what we have to do is find those people and fire them.
SPEAKER 06 :
Thank you so much, Rick, for joining us. I do want to encourage you to give us a call. We’re going to take your calls in the next segment at 1-800-684-3110. And I wanted to thank you again for supporting the ACLJ in 2024. But here we are in 2025. We’ve got some big things happening. We’re going to roll out that new pro-life campaign. We’ll have new projects, new movies, new specials, obviously new members of the team. And of course, got to continue funding what we’re doing here incredibly in the courtrooms and of course, in the media. So I encourage you to support the work of the ACLJ still at ACLJ.org.
SPEAKER 05 :
Do it right now, Will. That’s right. And when we come back, we’ll be taking your phone calls. You can call it 1-800-684-3110 to be heard on air. But also we’ll talk about what some of the members of the U.S. Senate are saying about getting these individuals confirmed to President Trump’s cabinet. it is very important as a matter of fact if you want to support one of our own tulsi gabbard go to aclj.org sign to sign our petition for her confirmation welcome back to secular i would like to hear from you we have a little bit of time give us a call we got about nine minutes here before the show wraps up so if you want to call in
SPEAKER 06 :
Give me an opportunity. 1-800-684-3110. I also would love for you to put in a comment. Let me know where you’re watching from if you don’t have anything to say. And again, of course, we are covering these terrorist attacks, but we do hope you all had a great Christmas, a great Hanukkah, which has ended last night. We had our celebration in my home last night. And I hope you had a happy new year as much as you could, obviously waking up to this tragic news, but hopefully you stayed safe. And again, I wanted to thank you for supporting the work of the ACLJ. Let’s go ahead and take some calls. Let’s go to Ronald. Who’s calling first in South Carolina on rumble or is watching on rumble. Ronald, you’re on the air.
SPEAKER 01 :
Thank you for taking my call. Yes. I just wanted to comment that it seems like they’re trying so hard to give Biden a, a, a proper legacy, but also, All that’s going on so far is right now he has a legacy of victims and victims’ families that he’s going to have to convince, just like when he commuted the sentence of, of those that were on death row in trying to convince their families that it was a decent thing to do, yet try and tell the victims who’ve lost loved ones now that your border policy and your other policies was the right thing. Negotiating with terrorists was the right thing to do in trying to convince the victims and their families about that.
SPEAKER 06 :
Ronald, it does feel like that. Sort of a blunder after blunder after blunder, which is you had that moment where he pardoned everyone on death row, and there are people who are against the death penalty. And they thought, you know, this was a thing to do, that it was the right thing to do. But of course, then you have a terrorist attack happen very shortly after you does kind of put everything into perspective. The legacy of president Biden will not be one that is great. It’ll be one that is flawed. Like you said, with Afghanistan or, or this issue or terrorist attacks, but it’ll also be one that will have an interesting turn. You know, we saw the passing of Jimmy Carter over the last couple of days. And his legacy kind of got shifted. His legacy kind of shifted from a failed president to someone who was praised as a good person and a humanitarian. And look, I said the flag in front of Buckingham Palace was… was at half mass for Jimmy Carter. And again, it felt very interesting to be there for that moment. Kind of like, Oh, this, they’ve canceled the changing of the guard for tours for Jimmy Carter. And again, the legacy changes the legacy of Joe Biden. Maybe this guy was the president. And we saw sort of Whitney Cummings comments on CNN New Year’s Eve gets pushed out and then a massive loss.
SPEAKER 05 :
He may be able to say, well, if they just kept him in. Well, and that’s honestly what some of the reporting has been, is that President Biden believes that he would have won, which I believe is. I believe he would have. been wrong, but I believe it would have been closer. I believe that he is probably incorrect on that, but the polling definitely was not in his favor at the time. But I do believe that he maybe would have had a better shot at that instead of causing the chaos within the party that they did. But that unfortunately is going to be the refrain of this entire four years of the Democrats’ policies. It has caused chaos wherever they went, whether it be the failed border policies, whether it be the way that they ran the chaotic COVID relief programs and mandates and things of that nature, and just the inflation rates, the things that got out of control. And that they tried to gaslight the American people and say weren’t the case. And even the way that they handled the foreign wars and the way that they hamstrung the Israelis from doing more quickly the job that needed to be done in Gaza. And instead also trying to give Ukraine everything that they could under the sun, including at the end of his term saying, go ahead and start launching long range missiles into Syria. Russian homeland. It’s just chaos everywhere. They called Trump the chaos president and said that it was chaos for four years. Most of that chaos was caused by the left trying to drum up things to push against him to completely undercut his presidency.
SPEAKER 06 :
The chaos was you didn’t like the fact that he was on social media a lot and he went out and spoke and spoke from a place that was uncomfortable for some people. Not… From a place of, I don’t know, attacks on some of our major cities where, you know, New Orleans, again, probably one of the top cities for New Year’s Eve. I’ve been there before for New Year’s Eve as people go in town for the Sugar Bowl every year and now even more so that this is not this shouldn’t be happening. But of course, what chaos to the other side is, is, you know, someone tweeting out something ridiculous or saying something in a comedic way or something, something that’s offensive that maybe you find offensive or just a policy. But I would much rather be offended by someone’s tweet than worry about my college age kids, which is what most of the victims in New Orleans were. 18 19 20 that’s who’s going to new orleans for new year’s eve and those were the kids kids they really are who tragically lost their lives because of that uh you can go to jerry’s call in new jersey jerry uh you’ve been a hold for a while you’re on the air yes uh i’d like to see biden pardon uh donald trump and then get back at pelosi and all those uh who put him in the position he is right now and
SPEAKER 05 :
that would give him some some more stability as far as his legacy goes i don’t see that happening but i also think his push back to a pelosi or someone think that is that you lost and i think that if he were going to do that he would have done it at the same time as the hunter biden pardon i think he would have tried to make a bipartisan like look this these were both political attacks or they’re claimed to be political legal attacks. Let’s just get rid of both of them and move forward. He didn’t choose to do it at that time, which I think would have been the most effective and given him the most cover for whoever he was afraid of going after his legacy, but he didn’t. So I don’t necessarily see it happening. Also, the federal cases, Jack Smith has wrapped up.
SPEAKER 06 :
They, in theory… Turned apart in himself in some ways by winning the election.
SPEAKER 05 :
Right. They, in theory, could… with I think one of the cases because it was dismissed. That’s the January 6th one, dismissed without prejudice. So in the future, they could theoretically bring charges again. Not going to happen. I think that is over. But yeah, maybe it would have been nice to see. President Biden say I’m going to pardon Donald Trump I’ll pardon my son let’s just get on move forward but I think that there is still so much resentment going on within President Biden being pushed out even though all the reporting now is that he was more diminished the entire four years than anyone was previously reporting that it included started back in 2020, they noticed it during the race and actually were like, we got to stop putting Jill Biden out so much because it makes him look bad.
SPEAKER 06 :
You could watch that statement he made yesterday about the New Orleans attack and just see it. And it’s sad in that sense, because look, no one wants to get old and get like that. And he served for a very, very long time. But unfortunately, no one could beat Father Time. It’s just what happens. and uh unfortunately here’s where we are i want to thank you all for supporting the work of the aclj uh during our december drive it really was remarkable that you all turned out now there’s some ways to go not gonna lie to you during these sort of election years a lot of things happening in the world and obviously inflation and issues it’s not like uh we’re hitting necessarily the numbers that we have hit in previous years maybe on those more uh fruitful years if you will So I encourage you, if you can, still support the work of the ACLJ. Go ahead and do that at ACLJ.org. And I want to thank you all.
