Now, the good news is there’s apparently rumors and murmurings of a truce. And according to Politico, The White House now is reaching out to Elon to have a meeting between these two giants. Trump hater last night, who of course just loves this, and she said, oh, I said this was always going to happen. I knew it. Trump does this to everyone. I thought, I don’t know what Trump did. Trump was on kind of defense, a place that he’s kind of used to, because all they do is come for him. And I couldn’t help thinking, here we go again, this man who’s been arrested multiple times, who’s been shot, who’s been impeached, who’s been crucified on an hourly basis, now has the guy that he treated like a son turn on him. And Elon Musk… It’s absolutely true. Has brought tremendous value to the Trump presidency. Has been tremendously effective with Doge, albeit not as effective as everybody had hoped. But so be it. He got a lot done already, and Doge continues. He’s the richest guy in the world. He’s Tony Stark of, what is it, Iron Man? He’s Iron Man. An Iron Man got ticked at the king. It’s bad, in a way, for the bill. And that’s what kind of matters. I mean, what does the future hold for the big, beautiful bill? I don’t know what the… I haven’t even checked in yet with the naysayers of the bill. the Thomas Massys, and the Ron Johnsons. We haven’t checked in with what are they saying about this battle royale. Incidentally, a lot of people were wondering why J.D. Vance was kind of silent. He’s taken to X to vociferously defend President Trump. So that’s good. Stocks are up. Market seems to be responding favorably, except for Tesla stock, which is in the toilet. So Elon’s not exactly doing himself any favors here. So, look, I am prayerful. I am. I feel prayerful. I want this to heal. I want this to be resolved. And I’m going to talk a little bit about praying today. For kids who are in need. And I see the media buzz about he and Elon getting back together, and they’re going to have this big, beautiful announcement that they’re in agreement that what they really need is 60 budget hawks in the Senate, and they need a larger majority in the House. And that’s going to launch, you know, the selection of candidates and everything. But wait a minute. Go back.

But you’re not addressing this epic battle between these two men. You think this is an intentional setup for a pivot to spending cuts?

I do. I do. I think he’s getting a couple of his key promises accomplished in this bill. And he knows that it’ll be 100 times harder if he tries to put the spending cuts in this bill.

So he’s going to do that as a next step. Couldn’t we have gotten that done without Elon claiming that Trump is on the Epstein pedophile list?

Well, that’s just part of the drama. The gamesmanship? I mean, let’s remember he comes out of WWE wrestling. He knows how to set up the next press conference.

Okay, look, that’s how I felt yesterday, Frank. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t mean to say you’re all wet, because that’s what I thought all along. I thought, this has got to be a giant setup. But Trump has, I mean, Elon in particular has gone very personal. Trump got personal. Trump threatened to pull the government contracts for SpaceX. That’s not a good idea for Elon as far as he’s concerned. Then Elon said, okay, fine, then we’re going to cancel the Dragon contracts or whatever the heck it is. The whole thing is a mess, a mess. I hear you. I appreciate the negative. I mean, look, I had a bad day, too, yesterday. But I don’t want to give up. I don’t want to lose faith. I don’t want to – I mean, look at – how about Steve Bannon? And again, the guy’s a beast. And I mean that with a lot of admiration. And here’s – we’ve got the clip of Bannon saying that he ought to deport Elon. Well, that would be quite a look, huh? Yeah. But look, I mean, this is what’s weird about the whole thing. It wasn’t all that long ago that Elon Musk was praising President Trump. Remember when Trump and Elon sat down with Sean Hannity on Fox News? This was just a couple of months ago.

Become one of your best friends. He’s working for free for you. Well, I love the president. I just want to be clear about that. I don’t care about that. I know. I love the president. I think I think President Trump is a good man. And he’s, you know, that’s the way he said that, you know, something nice about it really is, you know, because, I mean, the president has been so unfairly attacked in the media. It’s really outrageous. And I spent at this point, spent a lot of time with the president. And not once have I seen him do something that was mean or cruel.

How about that? What was the date on that, Tracy? Do we know? It was a couple months ago. So you talk about a 180-degree pivot. Holy moly. I’d like to believe it’s a strategy. I’m still not giving up on that. In fact, I suspect if we did a poll right now, and maybe we can put a poll together. We’re a little short-staffed today because our brain trust is with his family. Eric lost his mother-in-law this week. And so we’re, of course, praying for God’s comfort and healing for Eric Hansen and Gina and the girls and the family. But, of course, we’ve got the best team in the biz covering. We’ve got Dan flying the plane and Christian and Tracy. But, you know, if we did a poll right now, I’ll bet you anything the majority of people believe this is still a strategy. I’ll bet the majority of people would answer, that’s my gut that most people would feel that way. I’m not 100% there anymore. I have to admit I’m about 75% there. There’s no way that a smart man like Elon Musk goes from expressing his support and love and admiration for this man, Donald J. Trump, and then would turn on him the way he did yesterday. I’m praying the cooler heads will, there will be some kind of place where we can come back to some sanity. Because right now, let’s face it, this is insane. This is beyond insane. This is DEFCON 1. You’ve heard it all by now, probably. You’ve been following it on social media, here on Salem News Channel. Salem Radio Network, I mean all of our stations around the country, this is all we’re talking about. I’m a fairly intuitive guy. I cannot lose my grip on my belief that this is some kind of strategy. You go from… Claiming that you love President Trump as much as any man can love another man, which is what Elon just posted a couple of months ago, to he’s on the Epstein list? You go from saying this is the greatest president of my lifetime and appearing with him on stage and jumping up and down like a schoolboy to he wouldn’t have gotten elected without me and he ought to be impeached? Because I expect that a surprising majority of people agree with me that this is just a strategy. That these two men have concocted a strategy of WWE proportion. I really believe in common sense, and the common sense perspective on the big, beautiful bill is it’s got to pass. There’s a lot of flamethrowers who don’t want the bill to pass, and of course that’s because they want Trump to fail. They really want the Trump agenda to go up in flames. I get that there’s too much wasteful spending. I hate to break it to you, but as Trump was campaigning on tax… decreases, lower taxes, a thriving economy, a secure border, and all the other things that we’ve listed, hate to break it to you, nobody was chanting, too much deficit spending, too much deficit spending. And to hear people say that, I just want to, I mean, look, Steve Bannon is a guy that I follow pretty closely. The war room. Former, you know, Trump close advisor, and now he’s parlayed his time in politics into a very popular podcast and presence all over the place. Steve’s not a fan of the big, beautiful bill, but he knows it has to get passed.

Okay, so we’ve never been enthusiastic about the big, beautiful bill. Number one, a big, beautiful bill is going to get done. It has to get done. Because you must extend the tax cuts for the working class and the middle class. All engines stop. There are also certain things on R&D, as you sent me, these things that weren’t covered in 17, we’ve got to take care of. There’s a number of things of depreciation, things that have to be done for business, a bunch of things for small business, etc., That has to be done as a supply-side tax cut, and we do believe in the supply-side tax cuts. However, as we’ve said from the beginning, the bill would be made better in the no need to kill it in the House, and the president didn’t want to kill it in the House. It’s going to be made better in the Senate.

There you go. And that’s what they’re doing. They’re making the sausage. They’re getting through this. It is a process. And, of course, Donald Trump is up against the beast called Congress. I saw somebody posted on social media, Trump would love to have a bill with everything that Elon wants in it. If this was like either of their ideas. successful businesses like the Trump Organization or SpaceX or Tesla, they could just say the word and it would happen and the business would prosper. Try getting it passed by a hostile, corrupt Congress full of commie Democrats and self-serving Republican egomaniacs who hold a slim majority. That’s what Trump is up against. And once again, Trump faces the nearly impossible. And we’ve been here over and over and over with this guy, where he faces the impossible. He’s dodging bullets on a stage. He’s staying out of prison. He’s preventing them from bankrupting him. He has been up against this over, I’ve never seen a guy, one man, be put through more than this guy has been put through. And if this meltdown from Elon is real, if it’s genuine, then Americans are going to love Trump even more. And I saw it a while ago, the GOP took a vote on codifying his, you know, codifying the things that he found, and 23 senators, GOP senators, basically said no. Okay, so why is he taking it out on Trump? No, no, I think he’s taking it out on the wrong guy. Please, I’m a Trump supporter.

And this bill, this bill that they have to pass has to get us. to the top of that mountaintop, and it has to roll downhill so fiercely that this country will grow beyond growth.

And they just, they just totally like just threw it off.

I mean, again, you’re all giving me reasonable arguments about why he should be mad at, you know, the rhinos in the Senate and the squishes in Congress. I get all that. What’s he mad at Trump about? What did Trump do? Trump’s trying to get this done. And, you know, he’s got, as you’ve all said, this mountain to climb. And look, I am so reluctant to take sides on this. Because I do appreciate what Elon Musk brought to the table. I’m grateful for him. Is it possible this guy is a complete nutcase? I mean, you understand, we’re talking about the behavior… If it’s not contrived or if there’s not a concerted, and how can a nutcase be one of the most successful businessmen on the planet? How could a guy get rockets to land backwards and send people to Mars and the moon and rescue astronauts and develop a car that drives itself and have the brilliance that this guy possesses? And I don’t want to believe that he’s completely off his rocker. I don’t want to believe that. I just don’t. I hope I don’t have to get there someday where we just say, wait, wait a minute.
