SPEAKER 04 :
Welcome to Annette on America. This is Annette Fivey, single mom to three teenage girls, lawyer, college professor, yada, yada, yada. And there’s so much going on in the world, so many important things. Let’s start with the most important story of the week. I know if you listened last week that we were talking about the Zizian cult. Okay, well, what’s the latest? The Zizian cult defector, believed to have died in 2022, has been in hiding. Fearing maniac vegan groups revenge. Can you believe that? So in case you didn’t know, there’s this Zizian cult that consists of vegan transgenders. I know you can’t make this stuff up or you could if you’re the Babylon Bee, but this is real. A former Zizian cult member widely believed to have died by suicide is actually alive and hiding from the dangerous group, the post can reveal. Gwen Danielson was thought to have died, and if you look at this picture of Gwen, it’s obviously… A dude. Gwen Danielson was thought to have died in 2022, even by a lawyer representing him in an active case, but has instead been lying low at an undisclosed location. Danielson, who, like many Zizians, is transgender and legally became a woman in 2017, according to court papers, still fears for her life, his life, according to her, his father, Brett Danielson. She checks in, he checks in regularly, and I heard from her him very recently, but he, but she, I can’t do this. I’m just gonna call him what he is. He’s not ready to come out of hiding just yet, he told the Post. Danielson split from the increasingly unhinged group of rationalists, that’s in air quotes, computer scientists over an argument within the group, according to his father. Their political ideology was that killing animals is just as violent as killing people and therefore everybody is guilty of violence, he said. And that probably led some of them to a self-justification for their own propensity for violence. Oh, goody. This goes to one of my theories. And I taught American history or U.S. history um for a middle school for seventh and eighth graders and we were talking about the john brown time period and how when people would rise up to start rioting against government overreach inevitably someone comes in there and starts killing people even though they don’t need to and so i have this theory which i’m i think it’s more than a theory but It’s obvious that there are people in this world who have a propensity for violence and they don’t want to get arrested or busted for being violent. So they go and find some place that they can do violence and not get caught. And that’s like ISIS, right? So how you can’t, or Hamas, you can’t become a murderous animal without having some outlet for it, right? So… You have these people that have a propensity for violence and they find a group like this and they, hey, we can justify our violence by saying that we think. People who kill animals are just as violent as people who kill people. So therefore, we should go kill those people who are killing the animals, right? So authorities are investigating four killings across the US linked to various members of the loose-knit group, including a double homicide in Pennsylvania, a murder in California, and a shootout that left a US border guard dead in Vermont. Jack Ziz Lasota, 34, who has been described as the leader of the group, was arrested on February 16th alongside Michelle Zajko, 32, and Daniel Blank, 26, in Maryland after they were seen trespassing, raising suspicion. A gun was found in their vehicle. Prosecutors in different jurisdictions across the country are thought to be preparing further charges. Zajko is a suspect in the murder of her parents in Pennsylvania, but has not been charged in that case. Two others tied to the group are also in custody, but for murder. Maximilian Snyder is charged over the January 17th death of Curtis Lind. Anyway, yada yada. So these people are running around killing people. And they just happen to be vegans and transgender. And so along with my theory about violent people searching out ways they can have what they consider to be legitimate outlets for this violence, I also have this theory that if you’re a vegan, you’re probably prone to violence because hello, you’re hungry. And number two, if you’re transgender, you’re already mentally ill. And so, yeah, it’s not a surprise that if you’re both transgender and vegan, you’re going to end up murderous. And so kind of feel for the transgender vegan. gwen danielson who is on the run who faked his own suicide to escape the zizians so anyway just weird weird wild stuff so i feel for gwen because he is now outed as as being alive and i wouldn’t be surprised if he she is actually out there eating meat as well And not to mention cheese, right? Even eggs. All right, so this is another story that I just wanted to cover because of one aspect. The world’s oldest Holocaust survivor dies in L.I., I think that’s Long Island, Long Island Nursing Home at age 113. She made the best of terrible situations. Now, this is why this caught my… First of all, yes, living to 113 is insane. But the reason it caught my eye was this sentence. Rose Garone, who once credited her longevity to dark chocolate… Yes, right there. That’s it right there. That’s what caught my attention because I love dark chocolate. I eschew all other chocolates because once you’ve had dark chocolate, you never go back. You know what I’m saying? But we’ll continue on with the rest of the sentence. Survived the Nazi horror of Kristallnacht and her husband’s time at a concentration camp to eventually move with her family to the States and thrive, Kin said. And she ate a lot of dark chocolate, I’m just saying. I’m sure that her longevity had nothing to do with the fact that she was toughened up by all those years of horror at surviving Kristallnacht and had a bizarre… coming together of stories I taught about World War II and Nazi Germany also during my eighth grade subbing period, from which I still suffer PTSD. But anyway, dark chocolate longevity. Just saying, it’s not only delicious, and this goes out to Jane who thinks that dark chocolate’s no good. I’m saying, Jane, you can live to be 113 years old if you eat dark chocolate. All right. Another very sad story, almost as sad as the Zizian who had to go into hiding because he’s afraid of his fellow vegan transgenders. This is another very, very sad story. MSNBC host Rachel Maddow rips own network for axing Joy Reid’s show and other, quote, non-white hosts programs. Well, what’s also kind of sad about this is that Joy Reid was axed during February, which is, of course, Black History Month. So anyway, NBC host Rachel Maddow eviscerated her own network Monday night for dumping left-wing firebrand Joy Reid and canceling the shows of other hosts who aren’t white in a major cable shakeup. Yeah, I’m sure that’s why they were fired, Rachel. And I’m sure that’s the important thing here is that they were non-white and they were fired. Maddow, during her eponymous show, try saying that three times fast, called Reed’s ouster a bad mistake. Eponymous. Thank you. I’m thinking myself. I’m the only one here. I don’t have a producer. I don’t. A bad mistake as she also stood up for behind the scenes staff across the network who are also at risk of losing their jobs and being forced to apply for new positions if they want to stick with MSNBC. Arguably the face of the ratings challenged network. Okay, so Rachel. Let me just read that again. Ratings challenged network. Could it possibly be that Joy Reid and these other folks were axed because their ratings were in the toilet and had nothing to do with their race? Just wondering. The 51-year-old commentator didn’t hold back from addressing the elephant in the room, who was actually more like a donkey because they were left-leaning. Anyway. I love everything about her. I have learned so much from her. I have so much more to learn from her, Maddow said of Reed. I do not want to lose her as a colleague here at MSNBC. And personally, I think it is a bad mistake to let her walk out the door. It is not my call, and I understand that, but that’s what I think. Rachel, they didn’t let her walk out the door. They kicked her out. Leading up to Maddow’s monologue, the Read Out put on its final program Monday evening, in which Read 56 received a hero send-off from other colleagues, including Maddow. Read’s departure isn’t the only change coming to MSNBC under new president Rebecca Cutler. It’s Cutler with a K, but it should be with a C, right? Because she’s cutting! This stuff writes itself. Rebecca Cutler is cutting out the fact, just like Elon Musk is cutting the fact of federal employment. Alex Wagner, who was supposed to handle the 9 p.m. hour Tuesdays through Fridays after Maddow scaled back to only hosting Mondays, was replaced by former Biden White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki. A series of weekend hosts are also having their shows canceled. That’s because if you have more people on the set than in the audience, you got a problem. It is also unnerving to see on a network where you’ve got two, count them, two non-white hosts in prime time, both of our non-white hosts in prime time are losing their shows, as is Katie Fang on the weekend, Maddow said, and that feels worse than bad. No matter who replaces them, that feels indefensible, and I do not defend it. So I’m just saying, hey, Rachel, if you feel so bad, why don’t you… step down and offer Joy and these other non-white hosts your spot, or here you go. How about you give them half of your salary? I wanna say she makes like 40 million. I mean, it’s something obscene. So why don’t you offer half of your salary to keep Joy Reid around? Reid is part Congolese and Guyanese, while Wagner is part Burmese and Bang in South Korean. and fang is south korean wagner and fang are expected to stay with the network and work in different roles the weekend co-host michael steele simone sanders townsend who are both black and alicia menendez who has cuban ancestry will replace roy’s reads show starting april okay so what’s the problem here if it’s all about race Rachel, then what’s the problem? You have two black people taking over Reed’s show. On the left, it’s all about identity politics. And if Rachel Maddow wants to make it all about identity, what’s the problem? But Maddow wasn’t done yet, seemingly calling out new leadership at the network after it was revealed that staffers of canceled shows would need to apply for other jobs at MSNBC to hang on rather than automatically get moved to a new slot. She said dozens of producers and other off-camera workers are being put through the ringer and facing the possibility of being laid off. They’re being invited to reapply for new jobs. That has never happened at this scale in this way before when it comes to programming changes, presumably because it’s not the right way to treat people, Maddow said. and it’s inefficient and it’s unnecessary and it kind of drops the bottom out of whether or not people feel like this is a good place to work and so we don’t generally do things that way. Well, Rachel, obviously it’s not a good place to work because it’s going broke. So people shouldn’t have the impression that it’s a good way. They obviously want people to leave. They don’t want more people to come in. So it’s okay if people think that MSNBC is a bad place to work. And Rachel, this is called free market. Cutler with a K. but who’s cutting with a C, told blindsided readout staffers during a call Sunday, there would be more positions at the network six months from now than there are currently. I’m just guessing there might be more positions that pay less in the future. Oh, Cutler with a K, gotta love it. All right, so House adopts blueprint for Trump’s big, beautiful agenda bill as Prez opened to Senate version. So all week we were seeing emails, oh, will the House pass it? The House might not pass it. Well, the House did adopt a blueprint for President Trump’s sweeping legislative agenda package Tuesday night. managing to hold on to their slim majority despite repeated threats from recalcitrant members to derail it. The framework cleared the House in a 217 to 215 vote, paving the way for the GOP to unlock the legislative process and begin drafting Trump’s marquee agenda. So, I mean, that’s not even a written bill here yet. Representative Thomas Massey was the sole Republican to oppose the measure during a dramatic voting session that spanned about two hours. At one point, leadership opted to skip over the vote on the blueprint, prompting some lawmakers to leave the chamber before they were summoned back within 10 minutes. Oh, that does sound like drama, like your teenager leaving the room and then coming back 10 minutes later. And another thing, right? The bill was pulled from consideration during those frantic 10 minutes with Vassie and Representative Victoria Spartz, both refusing to back the measure. However, Sparks flipped suddenly during the pause, giving the measure just enough support to pass and the vote was back on. Following the vote, Sparks said in an ex-post that she received President Trump’s personal commitment to save healthcare and make it better for physical and fiscal health for all Americans, leading to her 11th hour backing of the bill. He is the only person who was able to accomplish it and I trust his word, she wrote. Therefore, I voted for these budget instructions to move forward. Okay, well, I hope that Trump is serious about saving health care. Although, I don’t know. I mean, it’s one of the things that I would like to see happen. I don’t know how he’s going to do it with all the other things he’s got on his plate. But I hope there is a plan in there to make health care great again. Because we need health care. M-H-C-J. Anyway, we need to make health care great again because it’s… If you do not, it just sucks for people who are self-employed. And I know I mentioned this last week, but it bears repeating. We need to be able to go out into a free market and buy healthcare and not go through the Obamacare marketplace and buy junk healthcare, which a lot of us have. The blueprint, also known as a budget resolution, features committee assignments to slash $1.5 trillion and potentially up to $2 trillion in spending while allowing for $4.5 trillion added to the deficit from tax cuts over 10 years and $300 billion in beefed up spending for border security and national defense. Today, House Republicans moved Congress closer to delivering on President Trump’s full America first agenda. agenda and not just parts of it,” said Speaker Mike Johnson. The momentum will grow as we work with our committee chairs and Senate Republicans to determine the best policies within their respective jurisdictions to meet budgetary targets. We have full confidence in their ability to chart the best path forward. The interesting thing that caught my attention in this article was that somewhere in here, It says that Trump plans on paying off the debt, like as in all of our debt. Let’s see if I can find it in here, because I thought, how is that even possible? OK, I’m not seeing it. I am glad to see that there are plans to cut spending, but still adding money to the deficit is not OK. Whatever happened to a balanced budget is what I want to know. What else do I need to tell you about that? Well, more information will come out, but this is not actually a bill that they are voting on. So let’s just wait and see what the actual bill is going to say. All right. Ah, but what I mentioned last time was that it’s going to be time for the Pentagon to get a cleanup. Yes. I guarantee you, if they actually get into the books of the Pentagon, they are going to find trillions of dollars in waste because of the historic contracts that have been signed and utilized with things like $19,000 toilet seats. Everyone knows about them. Why they’ve continued to happen, I don’t know. Surely General Charles Q. Brown had already packed his bags by the time the axe fell on Friday night. As expected, Donald Trump fired the Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman and five other DEI-promoting Pentagon officials. Thank heavens. It’s all part of Trump’s strategy to bop, drop, bop, to drop a bomb on DOD, DEI, and recalibrate America’s military to avoid left-wing social engineering and refocus on readiness. In a post on Truth Social, Trump thanked Brown for his over 40 years of service to our country, adding that he’s a fine gentleman and an outstanding leader. Ahem. The praise notwithstanding, Brown was appointed to the post by Joe Biden in 2023 as part of his quest to remake every part of government in the DEI mold. Brown may have been an improvement over his predecessor, General Mark Milley, but that’s a low bar. He also had a record of race-based promotions, having used his Air Force tenure to promote DEI. It’s time to move on. As the next chair of the Joint Chiefs, Trump has nominated Air Force Lieutenant General Dan Razin, R-A-Z-I-N, Kane, a rather unconventional choice given that he has not held any of the positions required by the U.S. Code. Trump can and will waive those requirements, and Kane must be confirmed by the Senate. In the aforementioned Truth Social post, Trump called Cain an accomplished pilot, a national security expert, successful entrepreneur, and a war fighter with significant interagency and special operations experience. He added, during my first term, Raisin was instrumental in the complete annihilation of the ISIS caliphate. Pending Senate confirmation, Trump concluded alongside Secretary Pete Hexeth, General Kane and our military will restore peace through strength, put America first and rebuild our military. In a statement, Hexeth agreed under President Trump, we are putting in place new leadership that will focus our military on its core mission of deterring, fighting and winning wars. That should elicit a one word response, duh, What else would the United States military be doing? Of course, it hasn’t been that simple under the administrations of Joe Biden and Barack Obama before him. Whereas Bill Clinton hampered military readiness with significant budget cuts and submission to UN peacekeeping missions, Obama and Biden rotted the core of the military by pushing leftist ideology in the ranks. That destroyed morale and in the last couple of years in particular caused recruitment numbers to collapse. During that recruitment crisis, Biden chose to kick out healthy and capable young people because they didn’t get the COVID vaccine. Fortunately, a needed reversal has already begun. Democrats hate it, of course. Rhode Island Senator Jack Reed, a ranking member of the Armed Services Committee, complained, This appears to be a part of a broader, premeditated campaign by President Trump, and Secretary Hegseth to purge talented officers for politically charged reasons, which would undermine the professionalism of our military and send a chilling message through the ranks. Precisely the opposite is true. Remember, lefties always accuse righties of doing what they are actually doing. Trump and Hegseth are primarily interested in merit, readiness, and the military’s core mission. Lieutenant Colonel Retired Allen West likewise disagrees with Reed and other complainers. For all the leftists and politicized military pundits lamenting the dismissal of General Charles Q. Brown, Where was your wailing about national security when Barack Hussein Obama fired nearly 200 generals in five years, he asked. General Brown was released because he felt it more important to delve into matters of social justice than national security. He also commented that he preferred only a certain percentage of pilots be white in the Air Force. He was an acolyte of cultural Marxist philosophy known as DEI slash CRT. CRT stands for critical race theory and West is right that it is Marxist. CRT and DEI are politically charged methods and beliefs. Getting rid of them is just what the US military needs and that change will have to happen up and down the chain of command. So this is not the story I was thinking it was, sorry. Doge is going to get to the Pentagon, but this is not that story. So we’re going to clean up the DEI and the CERT and whatever else is going on at the Pentagon. But I’m waiting for good old Doge to get around to cutting the military and with our last minute left in this half um i wanted to announce that this is who the left should now be hating amy gleason was finally revealed to be the acting doge administrator so lefties all of you that are shrieking you can stop hating on elon musk and start hating on amy gleason Go find her and hate her. Okay, so we know that Elon Musk’s the one that’s really doing all the axing or the cutting with a K like Cutler, right? But Amy Gleason is the acting administrator of Doge. Just wanted to put that name out there. You can find her. She’s smiling. She just looks like an average person. I’m just guessing she’s not a billionaire. She doesn’t have 13 kids from four different parents. Well, she could have 13 kids from four different fathers, but I’m guessing she doesn’t. That’s Elon’s job. That’s what Elon does. Welcome back to Annette on America. Annette Bybee still hosting. Alrighty. This half, I just, you know, we’re going to talk about the most hated guy on the planet. Not Trump. Musk. I think he’s taken over for Trump. Although, as I told you in the last half, there’s a lady you should be hating now. And I can’t remember her name. So you’ll have to go back and listen to it. Anyway. So, Musk sent out an email, right? And you gotta love this meme he’s got out there with him holding a chainsaw. What’s it say? Viva la libertad. Okay, I can’t read the rest of it. Anyway, obviously, it’s a liberty chainsaw.
SPEAKER 1 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 04 :
The inhumanity of asking federal employees what they do. It’s so funny to watch. I have this Facebook friend who’s on the liberal side and she’s got, I sometimes want to unfriend people like this, but then I think, no, I need to know what the other side is saying and try and understand them, even though I never will. But one of my Facebook friends has a flag upside down and it says resist. Resist? Resist what? Resist cutting back federal spending? Huh, interesting. But I don’t get into it with her because it’s pointless. All right, Argentinian President Javier Millay gave Elon Musk a chainsaw. Okay, let’s see if they’re gonna tell us what this thing says. Gave Elon Musk a chainsaw on Friday and Musk wasted no time figuring out how to use it. The trouble is that the chainsaw isn’t always the correct tool. The latest Beltway buzz revolves around the infamous, what did you do last week email sent by the Department of Government Efficiency to two million or so federal employees. The email gave recipients 48 hours to reply with a list of five bullets of what you accomplished last week. The first email was sent on Saturday and the reply was expected by the end of the day on Monday. As you can imagine, it went over like a lead balloon. And this is the tweet or the X post from Elon. Consistent with President Trump’s instructions, all federal employees will shortly receive an email requesting to understand what they got done last week. Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation. So federal employees will be given another chance, Musk posted on X. Subject to the discretion of the president, they will be given another chance. Failure to respond will result in termination. And Matt Walsh says, fire any federal worker who didn’t answer the email. Fire any who complained publicly about the email. Fire any who complained privately about the email. Fire any who did anything but cheerfully and promptly answer it. The point is to ferret out the federal employees who are lazy bums and provide no return on taxpayer dollars. The folks who haven’t put on a pair of pants to go to the office since the pandemic. Or worse, the people who squander our money on loony left-wing ideological projects. It would be an enormous benefit to the nation, for example, to dump the yahoos who are so busy sexting each other about their transgender fetishes on the taxpayer’s dime. If you don’t know about that, go read about the NSA and what’s going on over there. President Donald Trump endorsed the effort saying, it was great because we have people that don’t show up to work and nobody even knows if they work for the government. Tellingly, a handful of employees received the email and rather than take a few minutes to thoughtfully reply, ran to the media to wail about the unfairness of it all. Others elected to respond with profanity-laced rudeness. Either of those options should be considered their resignation. Heck yeah. If your boss asks you what you got done last week, you should tell him. Why is it your… Do you think this work is a right? Oh, it’s a privilege. It’s just so obnoxious. Unquestionably, far too many federal employees fit undesirable descriptions. Beginning with Woodrow Wilson, the executive branch has grown into an unwieldy, I can say that. I’m having trouble with words today. Unwieldy words, that is. Into an unwieldy behemoth populated with unaccountable bureaucrats who run roughshod over the American people. they work for us at the pleasure of the president. It’s long past time to drain the swamp of creatures who inflict so much damage on the constitutional order. However, Believe it or not, some federal employees are good people. They work hard, bring skill to their position, and are doing justifiable jobs in service to our country. They don’t have time for what feels like a silly game made for social media consumption instead of serious governance and genuine accountability. If you work at, say, a VA clinic and saw more than a full load of patients on Monday and then had to stay overtime to reply to an email, that probably didn’t strike you as the best use of time. The irony is the ones with the time to reply are the ones who don’t do much. Even if this email merely makes good employees anxious or annoyed, Doge has not just removed enemies, but made them. I don’t know which side of the ledge one particular Pentagon official lands on, but that person described it as the silliest thing I’ve seen in 40 years and completely usurps the chain of command. There is also mass confusion as some agencies such as the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security told the employees not to answer. Even the Office of Personnel Management said a non-reply would not be punished with firing. The ironic benefit there is it helps Musk prove in court that he is not wielding too much power over anyone. At a more strategic level, a critical distinction must be made. Constitutional conservatives favor limited government that functions within the bounds of constitutional rule of law. This feels more anti-government. Then again, anti-government is what a huge portion of the American people have become these days and who can blame them. We’ve just endured four years of Joe Biden’s fiat government, which infringed on everything from free speech to gun rights to the right to peaceably assemble or make your own medical decisions. All while Biden used bureaucratic channels to waste our tax dollars paying off the student loans of some nose-ringed loser who majored in 17th century French lesbian poetry. I hope that’s not a major somewhere. Wouldn’t surprise me, but ew. Few Americans who’ve lost jobs or endured the cruel consequences of administrative state actions have any sympathy whatsoever for a bureaucrat who’s a little miffed at having to respond to an email. Reporting to superiors is a regular part of doing business out here in the real world. Welcome to the club. As political analyst Ben Dominic put it, the idea that any group focused on efficiency can’t ask that question is a sign you just don’t care about whether the government wastes taxpayer money or not. You just want it to flow forever. An unending river of cash into the pockets of bureaucrats who work… air quotes, from home with side hustles galore. Of all places, the Washington Post has a story this week that gets something right with its title. Move fast, break things, rebuild. Elon Musk’s strategy for U.S. government. That does seem to be the Trump-Musk strategy. They know how badly a broken Washington is, and they’re willing to break it a little or a lot in order to fix it. Some good eggs will be broken to make this omelet, and that’s unfortunate for those eggs. It may even yield some unintended consequences that make good governance harder in some places. Yet even if this whole thing is arguably obnoxious and over the top, it’s hardly a constitutional crisis. Ideally, it will even restore constitutional order. So the people that are whining about federal employees losing jobs, Well, let’s think back to 2020, 2021, 2022. How many federal employees lost their job during COVID? Not many. So I didn’t hear a lot of whining about all those people out there who lost their jobs because the government shut people down, shut businesses down. Not Costco, not Walmart, but little mom and pop restaurants and stores. So I don’t really want to hear about these federal employees. Yes, it’s sad that some good people lost their jobs, but we’re trying to save the country for crying out loud. So yeah, not feeling too bad. Oh, this was a bizarre little story today. Trump shares AI video of his vision for Gaza, featuring giant gold statue and him lounging poolside with Netanyahu. So this reminds me of that picture that Trump put out on, I think it’s on Truth Social, of him with a crown on and calling himself king. And I feel like he does that kind of thing just to poke the bear of the left because it makes them crazy. I don’t think Trump sees himself as king, but that’s what he called himself. And I bring that up because the AI video has a statue of Trump a golden Trump that looks like it’s about 100 feet tall. I mean, it’s huge, it’s ginormous. So the AI-generated video depicts a resort-like vision for the future of Gaza featuring a gigantic golden statue of the president as well as images of him lounging topless poolside. I don’t know why they’d say topless about a guy. Why would you just say in a swimming suit? With Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The 30-second clip shared on Truth Social late Tuesday opens by showing a blighted Gaza following 15 months of Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists before asking, what next? In red, white, and blue. Some of the scenes of destruction morph into a sunny beach resort As a lively dance track with the lyrics, Donald Trump will set you free, bringing the life for all to see. No more tunnels, no more fear. Trump Gaza is finally here, starts to play. The computer generated clip then depicts Elon Musk eating bread dipped in hummus on the beach before quickly cutting to bearded Hamas terrorists bizarrely dancing in bikinis on the sand. I think that must be an AI interpretation. Trump’s vision, which he said would make Gaza the Riviera of the Middle East, also includes giant gold balloons of his face being held by a child, as well as him dancing in a nightclub with a scantily clad woman with Ally Musk, the world’s richest man, showering people with cash. The video also depicts a massive golden Trump-Gaza building as well as a larger-than-life golden statue of Trump, which we already mentioned. The AI-produced song then boasts a golden future, a brand new light, before the clip shows Trump and Netanyahu lounging shirtless poolside with cocktails in their hands and the words Trump-Gaza behind them. Well, that’s had a lot of repetition. Since returning to office, Trump has shared his controversial development plan for the war-torn Gaza Strip, which he says he hopes for the U.S. to take over and develop into the Riviera of the Middle East, pushing out Gaza’s 2 million inhabitants into neighboring nations. Under the contentious plan, Palestinians would not be allowed to return to the Hamas-run enclave, Trump previously said. While Trump has big plans for the future of the Gaza Strip, tensions continue to boil between Israel and Hamas over the terror organization’s disgusting displays during hostage handoffs. Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, revealed Tuesday that he will return to the region this week to negotiate an extension on the first part of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal, which is set to end Sunday. It was the first time a member of the Trump administration publicly said its goal was extending phase one rather than moving on to phase two, which is meant to outline a permanent end of the war and Israel’s full withdrawal from Gaza in exchange for all remaining living hostages. Phase two will also determine who will rule Gaza, though Netanyahu’s government has halted negotiations for phase two following alleged violations by Hamas, including the group’s failure to release the body of slain mother Shiri Bebas last week. The error, which was corrected by Friday night, caused Israel to halt the release of 602 Palestinian prisoners who were scheduled to be free on Saturday as part of the exchange. So here I thought Trump was going to let all, what was it, let all hell loose or whatever if all the hostages weren’t returned. A lot of big talk, always a lot of big talk. All right, we don’t want that story. Let’s see, what do I want to talk about next? Oh, this I thought was very interesting. So the EPA moves to ditch finding that greenhouse gases cause harm. Huh, what in the world? The EPA, the Environmental Protection Agency, will move to reverse its 2009 declaration that greenhouse gases endanger human health and welfare, a step that would threaten most major climate regulations and make it harder for future presidents to enact new ones. And you know what I have to say about that? Three people granted anonymity to discuss the action said EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has recommended to the White House that the agency overhaul the finding which underpins all Clean Air Act climate regulations. That’s awesome. The action which was first reported by the Washington Post, again, the Washington Post. I read an article recently that the Washington Post is now only going to run conservative commentary. Let me find that really quick because that’s… Pretty interesting. Oh, let’s see if I can find that. Washington Post. Yeah, here we go. Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos says opinion pages will defend free market and personal liberties. The billionaire owner of the Washington Post, Jeff Bezos, narrowed the topics covered by its opinion section Wednesday to defending personal liberties in the free market, a pivot away from its traditional broad focus in prompting the news outlet’s opinion editor to resign. Bye-bye. Bezos, who is also the founder and largest individual shareholder of Amazon, said on X that viewpoints opposing those pillars will be left to be published by others. the move was received by okay so what does this editor have against the free market okay she’s a socialist okay i can see that you know people are social but personal liberties she doesn’t she’s not in favor of personal liberty anyway the move was received by some as an indication that bezos is making decisions for the storied news outlet with an eye toward avoiding retaliation by president donald trump Bezos, though, cast the change as a modernization from the day when newspapers offered opinions on a broad range of topics. Now, he said, the internet does that job. Yes, it does. We are going to be writing every day in support and defense of two pillars, personal liberties and free markets, Bezos wrote in his post, adding that the new topics are right for America. I also believe that these viewpoints are underserved in the current market of ideas and news opinion. Opinions editor David Shipley resigned rather than lead the shift. Bezos said. Yes, you’ve got that civil right, David Shipley. And Bezos wants to defend it in his opinions section. I suggest to him that if the answer wasn’t H-E double hockey sticks, yes, then it had to be no. After careful consideration, David decided to step away, Bezos wrote. The pivot echoes the Wall Street Journal’s editorial page banner, Free Markets, Free People. many changes have come to the post of late the move wednesday was the latest in a series of bezos changes to the legacy news outlet an award-winning organization that broke the watergate scandal and whose motto is democracy dies in darkness weeks before the november election bezos announced that the post would not endorse a presidential candidate sparking a wave of resignations bye-bye and thousands of subscription cancellations bye-bye The Post’s editorial staff had been prepared to endorse Democrat Kamala Harris before publisher Will Lewis wrote instead that it would be better for readers to make up their own minds. Bezos defended the decision by saying in a note from our owner that editorial endorsements create a perception of bias at a time. Many Americans don’t believe the media and do nothing to tip the scales of an election. You don’t say. Anyway. And then it just talks about some people resigning. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Okay, so where was I? I was talking about this other story. No, that’s the next one I’m going to get to. Nope, that wasn’t it. Nope. Wasn’t it? Well, that’s what happens when you start messing around, going from story to story. Anyway, the Washington Post. Okay, so let me just get back to where I was. Okay, duh, the EPA story. Okay. The action, which was reported by the Washington Post, represents President Donald Trump’s most aggressive action to date to wipe out the federal effort to combat climate change, which he has repeatedly labeled a hoax, despite soaring global temperatures and the vast body of scientific evidence that is fueling disasters around the globe. You can tell this is a politico. This is a politico story. which by the way talking about bias right it was the politico got like 33 million dollars from the biden administration so you think they would have learned that you know now that that’s out there everybody knows you’re biased so maybe you should take a hint from the washington post and and stop doing that anyway Trump has long sought to undermine the science of man-made warming that is at the heart of the endangerment finding. The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make US manufacturing non-competitive, he famously declared on Twitter in 2012. It is unclear exactly how Trump’s EPA will seek to unwind the landmark finding, said three people familiar with the plans who were granted anonymity to share details of not yet final decisions. They all expected it to reject the bedrock justification for regulating greenhouse gas emissions in some fashion to give agencies freer reign to dismantle climate rules. Zeldin sent his recommendation to the White House last week. Two of those people said. One person said it called for a formal rulemaking. The recommendation is now part of a wider review that includes the White House Office of Management and Budget, said the other person. This person, that person. Okay, anyway, so that’s the gist of it. And I didn’t even get to the story on waking up to the green dream nightmare. I think maybe I’ll just do a few headlines here because there are about, To run out of time, as always. Oh, Doge Dividend. I talked about this last week, how Trump in his Doge… I don’t know what it was, executive order maybe. The fine print said that 20% of the savings that Doge found would go back to the taxpayers. And I did my own little poll on my… my Facebook radio group. Anyway, and most of them said, no, we don’t want money back. We want you to pay down the debt and put it towards the deficit, blah, blah, blah. Well, this one says 60%, nearly 60% back Trump plan to give back some federal savings to taxpayers. So 60% support it, which, you know, I guess it’s not that hard to believe who’s going to vote against money in their pocket, right? Well, I would, if I got a chance to vote, just because I, again, want to save the country. Don’t really want the country to swirl the drain just because, you know, we could hand out some more free money. Anyway, oh, let’s see. few more i was hoping to get into this article about greta and the pope and how they want degrowth which to me kind of sounds like socialism oh maybe next week what else few other um um voldemort zielinski says it’s a very good signal that trump is meeting with him before putin so also another story is that we are going to get some rare earth minerals from ukraine i think this is another deal that trump went over and made and basically said dude we’ve given you so much money you’re going to start paying some back or give us some rare earth minerals so at least we’re going to get something back from Ukraine, it looks like. And we definitely need rare earth minerals, so that’s good. Oh, this was good. I wish we had more time. Supreme Court seems likely to rule for Ohio woman claiming job bias because she’s, wait for it, straight. Yes, so Supreme Court seemed likely Wednesday to side with an Ohio woman who claims she suffered sex discrimination from her employer because she is straight. So apparently she was working at the Ohio Department of Youth Services for more than 20 years and she contends she was passed over for a promotion and then demoted because she is heterosexual. Both the job she sought and the one she held were given to LGBTQ people. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 barred sex discrimination in the workplace. A trial court in the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against Ames. So that will be very interesting to see. But it sounds like they’re going to say that. But thank goodness. We shouldn’t be looking at… sex or gender whatever you want to call it in hiring decisions anyway unless it has to do with being physically able to do something like uh being a fireman or um i don’t know i see little women cops or how about secret service agent all right so of course we’re almost out of time so i need to go to my last article from my favorite news source the babylon b The Babylon Bee obtained a list of some of the things government employees said they accomplished last week. Let’s just take a look. With all of the debate raging over the Department of Government Efficiency requiring all federal employees to respond to an email, with a list of the things they did during the week, everyone has been left to wonder what exactly did all of them do last week? Thanks to high ranking connections, the Babylon Bee has obtained the following list of some of the things that responding government employees said they accomplished last week. Number one. responded to this email, following directions as top priority. Number two, hid in the janitor’s closet from the doge guys. Sometimes it’s best just to be honest. Number three, completed a game of Minesweeper on the highest difficulty. This type of genius should always have a job in the federal government. Number four, proofread a new series of instructional transsexual comic books for Guatemalan children. Changing the world is a tough job, but someone has to do it. Number five, walked around the national park to make sure all of the trees were still there. Continual vigilance is the key. Number six, spied on a few homeschool families. America’s enemies must be watched closely. Number seven, counted all of the paper clips in the drawer. Everyone has a responsibility to minimize waste. Number eight, recorded 12 TikTok dances. Creating a lasting legacy with your work is important. Number nine, processed a scathing indictment of an 87-year-old grandmother who prayed outside an abortion clinic. Federal employees do truly heroic work. Number 10, made a comprehensive list of all things done every day. Unfortunately, the last thing done was deleting the list. All right. All right. Well, as always, done with this hour is over and I didn’t get nearly enough articles read, but that’s just the way it is. Thank you for listening to Annette on America, where freedom lovers get it.
