Dive into the latest episode of Rush to Reason as John Rush and guests explore the upcoming changes in furnace and water heater regulations set to take effect on January 1. If your heating system is inching towards the end of its lifespan, find out what you need to do to ensure compliance and efficiency. Understand how the new laws affect distributors and what homeowners can do to stay ahead of the curve.
SPEAKER 09 :
This is Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 12 :
You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
SPEAKER 04 :
With your host, John Rush.
SPEAKER 12 :
My advice to you is to do what your parents did. Get a job first. You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same, and there’s a big difference.
SPEAKER 07 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 12 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
SPEAKER 09 :
It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush. Presented by Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning.
SPEAKER 08 :
And it’s that time, Monday. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Heading in this final stretch as we run down this week into Christmas week being next week. So last full week of non-holidays. Hunter from Cub Creek joining me now. He was with me Friday, or Saturday, I should say Saturday, on Fix It Radio. You just heard that show play a moment ago. Hunter, how are you? doing well john how are you i’m great and i know saturday is for some that may be of listening from the two to three o’clock hour just a moment ago this is going to be a rehash of that but there’s some changes coming in the world of furnaces and and water heaters for that matter that folks need to know about but talk to us about the changes that are coming on the furnace end of things come january 1 january 1 so um back in 2023 the
SPEAKER 11 :
The House passed a bill, HB 23-1161, basically stating that most gas appliances have to go to what they call ultra-low NOx or they have to be Energy Star rated as of January 1 this year. How they’re enforcing that is through our distributors. It’s not necessarily through the contractors themselves, but they’re enforcing it through what distributors can sell to us. So after January 1st, the distributors are allowed to sell whatever they have in stock of the existing equipment. And once that is gone, it has to go over to low NOx.
SPEAKER 08 :
includes furnaces and water heaters okay so we talked a lot on saturday about this for some of you where you may have thought of doing something you know your furnace is maybe on their you know last leg hunter maybe they’ve you know put a few things into it over the course of time and they just know that yeah my days are numbered i know i’m getting to to that point in time what should they do i mean is this something that you can get done by the end of the year is it something we can order and you can put in after the first of the year how does all that work
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, so if you have that furnace that’s on its last leg, if it’s over that 20 to 25 year mark and you’ve been limping it along, I would say, especially if it’s the older 80% furnace where the exhaust pipe, the flue on top of that is metal, I would highly recommend looking into replacing it, at least getting quotes and seeing it out. As far as that goes, we can install them after January 1st. And like I said in the opening, the furnaces, it’s being controlled through the distributors. The distributors are allowed to sell what they have in stock currently of those furnaces until they’re out of stock. So anything after January 1st that they bring in has to be the new Lone Ox equipment. It can’t be the older stuff. So I can’t. As a general rule of thumb, I would assume there’s going to be some around right after the first year and stuff like that. But the numbers, as availability decreases, it’s going to get worse and worse as it comes down the pike.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, so point being, if you’re somebody in that world, what I would do number one is Connor, let’s get somebody looked at. Second opinion is not going to hurt. Let’s make sure that they really are in that state where they need a furnace. There’s nothing else we can do. You can do the math on, you know, the savings end of things, what’s it going to take, you In other words, once you’re done, what do they save? What’s that look like? What’s the financial sides of things look like? And so on. I would say that even if you’re somebody that knows you need a furnace, let’s go ahead and get Hunter out sooner than later and determine all of that.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, I mean, it never hurts. I mean, and that is something that we pride ourselves on. We’re not going to heavy pressure you into buying a furnace, especially if you don’t need one. We do want to, our job and what we view that we should do is, We’re the experts on this. We want to educate you to make the decision for you and your family. We don’t need to make any decisions for you and tell you what’s going on. So if you do have that furnace, have us come out. Estimates are free. We’ll walk through what we think of the furnace, where we think you’re at. and we’ll give you our opinion and what we know, and then we’ll let you make that decision based off of the information we give you to make that decision.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, so you will help them through the whole process. One thing, too, we don’t talk quite enough about, but for some folks thinking, man, it’s Christmas time of year. I’ve got a lot of expenses going on. You know, man, I don’t know if cash flow-wise I’ve got the ability to actually do that right now. If they don’t, you can still help, right?
SPEAKER 11 :
yeah we do offer financing um so we can help that way and then depending on what you have going on and everything else there’s different terms and stuff we can do as low as a hundred dollars there’s sometimes there’s payments as low as a hundred dollars a month so it is something that we can figure out we can help you with but also we can tell you like hey even though the equipment with the news change of equipment even though it is getting more expensive if we think you have five more years in that system then we’ll let you know that. Then that gives you a chance to budget for that stuff. So, like I said, we run on honesty, and we will be completely honest with you and try to help you make the best decision for you.
SPEAKER 08 :
That’s why Hunter’s here, by the way. Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning. SPEAKER 08 :
All right, we are back. Monday edition again, Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Thanks so much for tuning in. Again, our last full week before we head into the holidays and the way the holidays work for me, this will be my last full week of the year. So if you guys have things that you want to chime in about as we go through the week, make sure to call in and do so because this will be it for me for 2025. Yes, I’ll be back, of course, in 2020. 2026 not going anywhere but letting you all know what the schedule is like and you’ll be filling in for me over the holidays so uh show will of course go on have live programming but i will not be here after friday so if there’s something that you want to talk about by all means give us a call and i don’t have any guests the rest of this particular hour lots of things to talk about though before we get going though what is this from friday question of the day what is the currency of mongolia uh togrog togrog i guess i don’t don’t know much about mongolia Is that like an Asian thing? Is Mongolian Asia, Charlie? Am I thinking right? Okay. That’s what I thought. Okay. Shows that part of the country I’ve never been to. Today’s impossible question. What type of estimation problem is named after an Italian-American physicist known for the back-of-the-envelope calculations? What type of estimation process, or program, I should say, is named after an Italian-American physicist known for back-of-the-envelope calculations? That is the question of the day today. All right, lots happening, or lots happened, I should say. A lot happened over the weekend, and… i think we started off here in america with the brown university shooting that happened late saturday afternoon slash evening and there it was inside of a classroom setting and i believe they’re still looking for the person in that particular shooting i don’t believe they have actually found that person which that one as a side note um i’ve never understood that with you look at college campuses and the amount of cameras and things that are on a campus and how in the world they can’t figure out exactly, you know, what’s going on there is, is beyond me. So I, at any rate, um, and of course with anytime there’s a shooting in the United States of America, the first thing you hear from once one side of the aisle is, you know, we need more gun control, this, that, and the other, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Well, All that being said, and I happened to watch before some of the stuff on Twitter was taken down or on X was taken down, happened to watch the Australia shooting. Really, I shouldn’t say firsthand, but from a firsthand perspective. And, of course, that one, if you, you know, and I was reading about this yesterday as I was watching it. Again, I don’t normally do much on Twitter. sundays but this was such a big deal i felt like i needed to take time out unfortunately i was able to watch the video early enough before it was taken down there’s just now little snippets of the original video was about 10 minutes and 39 seconds long and then now there’s just a few snippets which i’m not sure why i guess too graphic i don’t know i don’t know why they take it down you didn’t see any any blood or anything like that you could see the action as to what was going on but australia As a reminder, most of you listening in my audience would know this, but maybe those of you on the left that listen don’t. Heavy, heavy, heavy gun control. to the point where they had a gun trade-in and then confiscation program, oh, about a decade or so ago. I’d have to go back and look to see exactly when that was. But bottom line, it takes a lot to own a gun. Now, in this particular case, it was a father and son duo that did this shooting, and it was a racist-led shooting, just so everybody knows. It was the first day of Hanukkah there, and a lot of folks were out on the beach. Jewish individuals were out on the beach, of course, celebrating and doing what they do along those lines. And no place to go because they were on the beach, and you see these guys literally shooting. And this is interesting as well. They, I believe, shot and killed 15 people, wounded numerous others. And you would think, well, man, they must have had high-powered AR-type guns. You know, rifles, because that’s all you hear about, talked about here in America when it comes to gun control is, you know, the really bad assault weapons and so on. Reality is these were bolt action rifles and they did all of that damage. You could see the guy cycling through on the bolt action, you know, fairly quickly. In fact, there are times where you would have almost thought they were shooting a semi-automatic weapon, showing you that if you know how to use your weapon proficiently, which these individuals did, it doesn’t matter whether you have a semi-automatic weapon or not. If you want to inflict damage, you can do that regardless as long as you know your weapon. And in this particular case, this father and son duo did. And as I was watching it yesterday, and really I had a friend of mine that was watching it with me, and as we were watching it together, I’m just like, oh, man. And literally your mouth is just wide open like, oh, man, I can’t believe this actually happened. And no more than watch the video, You know, we no more than watched the video, and it literally was taken down within 30 minutes of me watching it. And it’s just wild. And as you watch the whole—and I hope some of you out there listening may have actually seen the whole 10-minute, 39-second video. I mean, we watched it all the way where the guy starts filming, must have been like in an across-the-street apartment or something, and he’s—I think it’s a he because you can hear him actually talking. I’m sure it’s a he— And he’s literally filming these guys and did a pretty decent job. In fact, you would have thought you were on an episode of Cops or something along those lines, watching this particular individual in really the front row seat you had to what was going on. And then all the way to the point where the cops showed up and both these individuals ended up being – or one was killed, the other was, I guess, maimed to the point where he couldn’t do anything. And just a wild thing. My point is – In America, anything like that happens, and all you hear about is gun control, gun control, gun control. Australia already has that. One of the, maybe not the most gun control country in the world, but right up there at the top. I mean, right up there at the top. Showing you, those of you that are especially on the left, gun control doesn’t work, folks. Gun control doesn’t work. And we see that time and time and time again. Whether people use other devices to kill people, whether they drive trucks through crowds, vehicles through crowds, use trucks full of fertilizer. I mean, on and on we go. There’s all sorts of ways to impose death upon others if you want to. The gun at times just happens to be one of the more useful tools in doing so. But it is exactly that. It is a tool. It’s like I talk about with, you know, AI or anything else. It’s nothing more than a tool. It can be used for good or it can be used for bad. It all comes down to the person that’s using it. Now, all that being said, you know, our heart and thoughts and prayers go out to all of the individuals, whether it was here in the U.S. at Brown University or over there at the shooting. I think it was Bondi Beach was the name of the place that they were at. Whether it’s Bondi Beach or here on our own soil, you know, our thoughts. Bondi, sorry, Bondi, Bondi. I think I keep saying Bondi because of Pam Bondi, but Bondi. And whether it’s there, whether it’s here, whether it’s anywhere else where some sort of a tragedy like this happens, I mean, it just it shouldn’t happen. And, you know, as I was thinking yesterday, though, this is the other flip side to Australia. I can guarantee you this. If those two knuckleheads. had been on one of our beaches in America and had been doing that, where there was somebody filming directly across the street, where we have as many armed citizens here in America as we have, those guys wouldn’t have gone for the seven or eight minutes that they went before finally being put down by police. They wouldn’t have gone that long. I can guarantee you right now they wouldn’t have gone that long. You would have had half a dozen, if not more people on these two guys rather quickly. You might have even had a gun battle in the street, per se. You have to look at the video to know what I talk about in that regard. But I can guarantee you these guys wouldn’t have went seven or eight minutes. The problem is when you’re Australia and no one owns a gun. other than those that are quote-unquote licensed to have one. And I don’t know what that licensing procedure in Australia is. I didn’t look it up. Don’t really care, to be honest with you, because at the end of the day, this guy evidently passed all of the checks and balances to actually own a few guns. Not one. He owned a few guns in Australia and took them to battle, per se, in this particular situation. So I don’t know what drove these two individuals to do this other than I have my own ideas, and we have some of that problem here in the U.S., and some of you listening, by the way, are part of the problem. The hatred for the Jews and for Israel, and some of you listening fit right into that. Sorry, you have bought right into that whole mantra, lock, stock, and barrel, pardon the pun, but you have, and you’re part of the problem. I blame you for some of this. Indirectly, I blame you. Because you buy into this absolute garbage that somehow Jews rule everything and they’re the bad guy and they’re of the devil and, and, and, and, and. And it’s utter, absolute nonsense. And some of you listening to me have bought into that garbage. Shame on you, by the way. Shame on you. Some of you guys really need to go look in the, first of all, some of you guys really need to go read the Bible through and through. Every chapter, every verse. Then look in the mirror and then tell me where your hatred comes from. And I mean that sincerely. And don’t give me this garbage that, you know, they’re not the Jews of old, and you guys will come up with 101 excuses, which is nothing more than that, 101 excuses, so that you can feel better about your hatred. Yeah, you guys can tell I’m coming down hard on you Jew haters, because, by the way, I dislike Jew haters. Very much so. Mainly because there’s no reason for it. Other than pure, unadulterated hatred. You have bought in to some conspiracy theory about who knows what, and you think you know better, and you always are critical of me because you guys think that I will praise Israel all day long. You know what? I call out everybody where it’s due, just like I’m going to call out Donald Trump in a few minutes about some things that he did over the weekend. I’ll call out anybody. If something’s not right, I’ll call it out. I do not have blind faith and allegiance to anyone. Period. Period. In my world, there are checks and balances and everything. But some of you guys, by the way, have blind allegiance to the hatred of the Jews and Israel in and of itself. And you know who you are. Those of you that listen to me on a routine basis, you know who you are. The Candace Owens of the crowd, because that’s what she is. The Tucker Carlson’s of the crowd, because that’s what he is. And I keep going on the list, by the way. And these people… you included that are listening, the Tuckers, the Candaces, you, you’re part of the problem as to what happened in Australia over the weekend. And you can tell, guys, I’m not mincing any words here. I’m upset. Because it’s you all that you call yourself conservatives, that call yourself Christians, that frankly sicken me. Absolutely sicken me. Because you’re part of the problem. You guys bring this on because of all of your garbage that you spew out on an ongoing basis, and then you call yourself conservative Republican Christians some way, somehow, and I don’t buy it. I don’t buy it. You all owe these individuals, by the way, in Australia, an apology, the families of the dead an apology, because you’re part of the problem. You create what went on over the weekend, and I mean that sincerely. And don’t text me that I’m wrong, because if you do, you’re going to get banned from the text line. I’ll tell you that right now. I am not putting up with that crap today. Do not give me some wild scripture verse or some idea that, you know, the Jews aren’t who they used to be and blah, blah, blah, because it’s just you making excuses for your own filth and rage and racism that you need to be called into check for. And you know what? If Tucker Carlson were sitting here, I’d tell him the same thing. If Candace Owens were here, I’d tell her the same thing. And some of you out there listening, follow those knuckleheads. Because you’re just as sick and twisted as they are. And you all are the reason what happened yesterday in Australia happened. I mean that. You all are to blame. Yeah, I know the gunman did this, but you know what? You influence these knuckleheads greatly with all of the crap you spew out. So I’m going to leave it at that. As you can tell, I am not happy because I know some of you listening buy into this garbage. And the reason I know is because you text me crap, literal BS all of the time. That, I’ll add this to, you can never back up the things that you tell me. I challenge you all the time to back up what you’re saying. Scripturally back up your feelings and your excuses as to where your racism comes from, and you can’t do it. You’ll throw out, well, Paul said this, or Paul said that. You don’t know scriptures for anything. Kindergarteners, my young sons, my grandsons know it better than you do. And I’m not exaggerating when I say that. So you guys can all tell I’m not a happy camper this morning when it comes to this particular, this afternoon, I should say, when it comes to this particular topic, because you’re to blame for what happened over the weekend. So are the Tucker Carlsons and Candace Owens of the world. Dr. Scott, coming up next. Scott wants to help you with all of your health care needs. He probably needs to get my blood pressure down, so I should probably call Scott and get that going, because it’s up right now, as you can tell. But give Scott a call today, 303-663-6990.
SPEAKER 02 :
What if you could get over 110 lab biomarkers tested just like Dr. Mark Hyman advertises, but for a fraction of the cost and with a doctor who actually explains the results? At Castle Rock Regenerative Health, Dr. Scott Faulkner has recreated this powerful biomarker test panel at a substantial savings. We have a special price for both men and women. just $689. That’s a savings of over $2,500 over the standard price. And here’s the difference. With Hyman, you get numbers on a page. With Castle Rock Regenerative Health, you get Dr. Faulkner and his team walking you through every result, showing what’s off and creating a personalized plan to fix it. What’s even better, you don’t even have to be a concierge patient to get this pricing. This is open to everyone. Think about it. Most people’s deductible is higher than this special price. And your regular doctor, if he could get approved by your insurance, would never order this many tests, let alone know what to do with them. Call 303-663-6990 today or visit CastleRockRegenerativeHealth.com. That’s 303-669-6990. Take control of your health at Castle Rock Regenerative Health.

SPEAKER 04 :
The best export we have is common sense. You’re listening to Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 08 :
All right, I’ve only ever banned one other person from my program in the past because I don’t put up with utter nonsense, and I just banned Marty from my text line and from calling into the show. So those of you that, by the way, in the past have not really ever liked Marty and his comments, don’t worry. Marty’s never coming back to this program while I’m on air ever again because Marty is, in fact, a Israel Jew-hating racist. And I’m at a point where I’m… You know what, guys? I’ve gotten to the point in my life, age… financially speaking and so on, I don’t need this garbage. I don’t have to talk to Marty and listen to him spew out a bunch of nonsense about how bad the Jews are and how bad this is and how bad that is. He and Candace and Tucker Carlson go jump off a bridge for all I care. What a bunch of utter morons. And yes, they are the problem. Marty, Marty, you are the problem as to what happened in Australia. You and your belief system is why what happened over the weekend happened, because you’re a Jew-hating racist. Conrad, you’re next.
SPEAKER 06 :
Hey, John, right on. Everything you just did there, you know… I’m getting really sick and tired of it, too. You know, as you and I both believe, unless you’re an absolute believer in Jesus Christ, they’re not going to make it to heaven. That’s exactly right, Mark.
SPEAKER 08 :
And by the way, Conrad, that doesn’t matter whether you’re Jew, Greek, otherwise, Scripture’s very clear. But that doesn’t give me the right to hate someone because either they don’t and or you don’t agree with what they believe in.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, Jesus was a Jew himself.
SPEAKER 08 :
That’s exactly right. Thank you, Marty.
SPEAKER 06 :
Thank you, Conrad. I was at King Soopers the other day. You know, we moved out here to Foxfield now. We’re at this big King Soopers out here, and there’s this young, real nice-looking couple going through the checkout line, and he was wearing—they were all dressed in, you know, like, going-to-church clothes. He had this Star of David he was wearing, and his wife had this thing in her hair, and I knew they were Jewish, and I went up to him and I said, I said, happy Hanukkah and God bless Israel. And they were very appreciative that I did that. And I do that when I see Jewish people. I do that, you know.
SPEAKER 08 :
You know what? By the way, good job. And just as a side note, Conrad, I mean, I understand where some of these people get the belief system that they have. It’s a very skewed belief system, by the way. I mean, these are individuals, Conrad, that believe that our whole money supply and everything that happens that’s bad in the world has to do with the Jews. And they’re to blame for literally every single scourge of stuff that happens on the planet. And these people are absolute, utter morons. morons, Conrad. And I’m talking Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and the like. These people are absolutely demented, have no idea what reality really is. And unfortunately, those two get a platform. But in this case, Conrad, Marty’s not getting a platform any longer because he’s just been cut off.
SPEAKER 06 :
Good job. Good job, John. Like I said, that’s where Christianity sprung from, was from the Jewish people. They were God’s chosen people.
SPEAKER 08 :
We were grafted in, Conrad, so you’re 100% correct, 1,000% correct.
SPEAKER 06 :
And I love Mark Levin. You know that. You know who I’m talking about. There’s a lot of real good Jewish people, and it makes me all PO, too, when they get ripped on like that. So God bless you for what you’re doing, buddy.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, I appreciate you, Conrad. Thank you for the support. I mean that. Guys, again, I don’t cut people off from the program very often because I can pretty much typically handle most anything. But in this case, after the weekend and after really pondering some things throughout the day yesterday, you know what? I don’t have to. I don’t have to do this anymore. And frankly, in this particular case, if Mr. Crawford Sr., Don Sr. were sitting in the studio with me right now, and I gave the history of some of the conversations I’ve had with the Martys of the world, guess who would back me up on my decision? Mr. Crawford Sr. He would have no problem. In fact, would probably tell me, John, why didn’t you do that sooner? I’m patient. I’ll tolerate some things and go on for a while because in some cases it’s decent radio. Not good, but decent radio. But in this case, yeah, I’m done. Not doing it anymore. I don’t have to. Don Sr. would not make me do it. In fact, like I just said a moment ago, he probably would ask the question, why did I do it as long as I did? Because you know where he stands on all of this. You hear that in his commentaries. You’ll hear more of that in the commentaries that go through this Christmas season, by the way. As Conrad said, Jesus Christ himself was a Jew, born of a virgin, in a manger. You know the story. I don’t have to go through it. It’s simple. Luke 2. Go read it. Those of you that are so anti-Jew, anti-Israel, probably ought to check yourself on the whole scriptural aspect of things, by the way. And you know what? Here’s the thing. Here’s why I know you don’t. Because nothing you ever say and I counter with do you come back with. Meaning, you don’t know the Scriptures as well as you think you do. You pick out bits and pieces and things that somebody will throw out there, a Tucker or a Candace, who, by the way, I will tell you, don’t know Scripture as well as I either. They might act like they do, but they don’t. I could debate either one of those two all day long in that world. And no, I never went to ministry school. No, I’m not some sort of clergy. No, I’m not even Andy who’s actually got a ministerial degree. No, that’s not me. I just know because I’ve grown up in that world. And I’m a self-taught, self-learning individual, as you all know. So at the end of the day, and I’m sorry I don’t ban too many people. In the total lifetime of doing this program, I only have two that I’ve now banned from Rush to Reason. Two, that’s a pretty good tracker. I’ve been doing this for almost 12 years now. Two in 12 years, not bad. And probably went longer on one than I should have. But here we are. And this particular individual will continue to call other shows. And I guess they can let him spew out his utter hatred for Israel and the Jews all day long. But I’m not going to allow that to happen on my program any longer. All right. As I said earlier, I will call out things that need called out. The other story that happened, lots of news this weekend. Brown University, the shootings in Australia. And then, of course, Rob Reiner. They found him and his wife with their throats slit. Most likely their son did that. And I will call out Donald Trump when Donald Trump does things that he shouldn’t. Because his response to that, while correct, was wrong timing. And like Charlie always says, you’re better off to let all the dust settle. Give it two or three days before you really say anything. What Donald Trump should have just said was, you know, these two individuals have been murdered. That’s a tragedy in and of itself. While he and I or they and I may have not agreed upon politics and things of this world, you know, our hearts and prayers still go out to the Reiner family. That’s what he should have said. End of discussion. You shouldn’t add in the whole TDS, you know, Trump derangement syndrome into the mix of the conversation. That’s where Donald Trump was wrong. And again, guys, I’ll call out where it needs to be called out. I would not have done that. Now, do I think that’s going to have an adverse effect upon the party and it’ll affect us in the midterms? No, because people forget really quickly things that happen, even though the left will try to drum some of that up, you know, no offense, by next fall, you know, end of summer, fall. Truthfully, this will be over with by the new year. I’m sorry, but news cycle runs fast. Yes, it’s a tragedy what happened to Rob Reiner and his wife, but at the end of the day, and I’m sorry to say this, no one cares. I’m sorry. Same as all of us. If something happens to any of you that are listening, myself included, do you think anybody really cares after a few days go by? I mean, no offense, if I died tomorrow and a new host took my place in a week, would you all care? I mean, some of you would, but really, at the end of the day, would you really care? No. The show would go on, somebody else would fill my shoes, and the world keeps going on. The world doesn’t stop turning because somebody dies. Now, saying all of that, I still think you need to be sensitive to situations as they happen. And, you know, he had really good words for what happened in Australia. He had really good words for what happened at Brown University. He had the last one he struck out on because he didn’t handle Rob Reiner correctly. And I understand. There’s a huge, you know, chasm that was between he and Rob Reiner. I mean, Rob Reiner was a guy that absolutely hated Donald Trump, was very public about that hatred so far as to say that, you know, Donald Trump should probably just die and fall off the planet. I mean, I’m really not— I’m probably not watering down much of what Rob Reiner said when it came to Donald Trump because he was that vile and that disgusting of an individual. But that doesn’t mean that you go through this whole process of saying he had Trump derangement syndrome and the killer had the same and that’s why he no longer exists. I would not have done that, Donald Trump. So I know he doesn’t listen to the program, but I would not have done that. That’s just gone too far. Now, I will also say this. That’s the difference, by the way, between me and the left. When Charlie Kirk died and was assassinated, lots of people were out there celebrating the fact that he was killed and too bad it took this long and why couldn’t I have been the one that did it and on and on and on we go. And all those things were said. And yet here I am on air telling Donald Trump he shouldn’t have said the things that he said. That’s the difference between our side versus the other folks. Good versus evil. That’s the biggest difference. I’m not going to come on here and talk about Rob Reiner’s past and what an evil person he was and all of the different things that he and Donald Trump disagreed on. And Rob Reiner was a total through and through Marxist liberal. Full out. But that doesn’t soften or, in my opinion, make what happened yesterday with the murder of he and his wife. That doesn’t make anything better. And he’s still a human being at the end of the day. I could have disagreed with Rob Reiner, and I did, on most likely the majority of things in life. But it doesn’t give anybody an excuse to kill the man. And in this case, I guess we’ll learn more and more about what happened internally in their own family to cause something like this to happen. But, I mean, holy cow, what does it take for a family member to slit your own throat? That in and of itself is just twisted and demented, folks. So yeah, lots going on over the weekend. I’m getting several text messages and also really kind of antagonistic text messages that there’s some places in, in this case, Nebraska, where Tyson Foods is shutting down a plant and people are going to lose their jobs. And basically, do I think the economy is still well? By the way, I never said the economy is well. I’ve said the economy is doing better, especially considering everything the Fed has done to slow the economy down. In spite of the Fed, the economy is actually humping along fairly well. It could be a lot worse. Is the economy perfect? No, the Fed’s doing everything they possibly can to slow things down. I’ve never said the economy’s perfect. And then somebody added in, you know, what about all the small businesses that are closing? Well, number one, which ones are you talking about? Where are they? What’s the circumstances? And so on. As a business coach, I don’t look at a small business closing and telling you that’s a sign of the economy. There’s a lot of knucklehead owners, folks. There are a lot of knucklehead owners that fail in business because they can’t get out of their own way sometimes. So believe me, and I’m sorry to say that, and I’m not trying to be rude to anybody that fails in business, but is it really the economy or was it them? Was it a business not willing to shift into some of the new things that are happening right now? Did they have too many costs in some areas? Were they not able to accommodate some of those things? Was their debt too high to what they have coming in in income and so on? I mean, there’s lots of factors as to why small businesses close, and it’s not always economically speaking, folks. It is for them individually, but not in the economy as a whole. So I want to be crystal clear on that. Just because a small business closes doesn’t tell me the economy is bad, folks. I need to look at each individual situation to determine why did it? And what was that business trying to do to overcome the obstacles that are now set in front of them? Because by the way, as owners, we all have them. Every one of us has them. I’ve encountered so many obstacles in my career as a business owner. You know, I’ve done it since 1986. I can’t tell you how many adverse things I had to overcome to still stay in business. And by the way, they won’t stop. I will continue to have to overcome things as time goes by as an owner. And that’s what owners do, folks. So please, and I’m not trying to be critical of anybody texting in, but if you’re trying to tell me the economy’s bad because a small business or several of them are closing, folks, that doesn’t tell me. Again, I’m not trying to be rude, but that doesn’t tell me anything. Because there’s a lot of reasons why small businesses close. And one other thing that I will add into why some small businesses close, they don’t have the gumption, the grit, the desire to work hard enough, work Saturdays, work Sundays, work late nights, early mornings, and so on. They don’t have the desire to do so. And then when the business fails, it’s somebody else’s fault. It’s the economy’s fault. No, it’s your fault. You didn’t work it hard enough. Owning a business is not for the faint of heart. Those of you that own them, you know exactly what I’m talking about. It takes a lot of hard work and tenacity and gumption. And in some cases, it’s not even being the smartest guy there. And I’ve said this numerous times. It’s the guy that’s willing to work the hardest that’s there. All right, let’s take a break. Cub Creek Heat and Air Conditioning coming up next. You heard from Hunter earlier. And don’t forget about the new regs coming out when it comes to furnaces starting January 1. Talk to Hunter about that. If that might affect you, find him at klzradio.com.
SPEAKER 10 :
New regulations are about to make heating your home a lot more expensive. But Cub Creek Heating and AC can help you get ahead of the changes. Colorado’s new ultra-low NOx rules change the way furnaces and water heaters burn fuel. And once the current inventory is gone, the price to heat, repair, or replace a furnace could jump dramatically. Some estimates say by as much as 60%. These so-called high-efficiency units are also more fitting. They require precise installation. They’re more likely to break down if anything is installed incorrectly. And they could add $60 to $100 a month to your heating bill. So if your furnace is getting older, now might be the smartest and most affordable time to replace it and save thousands later. Rheem Certified Pro Partners at Cub Creek don’t upsell. They’re HVAC experts. They’re not salesmen. Let them take a look and give you an honest assessment of whether it makes sense to replace your system proactively. It’s worth a quick call. Reach out to Cub Creek Heating and AC today by visiting the advertisers page on klzradio.com.

SPEAKER 04 :
Now back to Rush to Reason on KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 08 :
And another person’s about to get banned from the text line because they like calling me a Jewish ask-yesser, which, by the way, I’m about the farthest thing from. But you know what? Hey, keep it up. I can ban more. I have no problem doing that. Joe, you’re next. Go ahead.
SPEAKER 13 :
John, in terms of how our life is different because of Jews of today, Jews represent 0.2% of the world’s population. Again, that’s two-tenths of 1%. They represent 23%… of the Nobel Prize winners in the past. Nobel Prize has been around since 1901, so it’s been 124 years. If you look at their contribution to society, 220 Nobel Prizes in 125 years, and this is from 0.2% of the population. John, and of those 220, 61 were in medicine, 37 were in chemistry, 56 were in physics. Then you have, you know, economics 40, but You know, some of the medicines and the treatments we have today are the direct results of the work of Jews. And you look at—and by the way, Albert Einstein was one. Oppenheimer was another. We might not have won World War II.
SPEAKER 08 :
We wouldn’t have won World War without that, Joe, period. That’s my belief. You wouldn’t have won it.
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah, so you have to look to Jews like Einstein and Oppenheimer. for helping us win World War II.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, and I gave somebody else, you know, several, you know, I’ve told somebody, Joe, a minute ago, that we give several examples constantly. You just did about, you know, this particular question was, you know, I’m nothing but a Jewish ass-kisser, and, you know, what do the Jews actually bring to the table? You just rattled off several, Joe, and we could go on. We could take the rest of the show, and I’m not exaggerating. We could literally take the rest of the show, find all of the things that the nation of Israel and the Jews have actually, you know, contributed to society as a whole, Joe, throughout the generations. We could literally take the next, you know, two hours and do that.
SPEAKER 13 :
Oh, easy. You could do ten minutes in each one of these guys, you know, anything from penicillin to, again, putting aside Einstein’s theoretical work, the fact that he and Oppenheimer helped you know, helped develop the atomic bomb, which helped us, which we might not have won the war without them.
SPEAKER 08 :
Correct.
SPEAKER 13 :
So, and again, then there’s all the, the economic, the literature, and then, but, you know, like Bob Dylan, you know, there’s all this cultural enrichment we’ve gotten. You know, maybe it’s not important to your life. Maybe your life wouldn’t be less, you know, less healthy, but, you know, there’s been tremendous amounts of literature and music and poetry written by Jewish people, and it’s just a phenomenal record that 0.2% of the world’s population accounts for 23% of the Nobel Prizes over the past 120 years.
SPEAKER 08 :
But they don’t contribute anything, Joe. That’s what I was just told. I mean, they don’t contribute anything. I mean, nonetheless, salvation itself came from the Jews. I mean, the reality is Jesus Christ himself, who was born of a virgin, who we’re going to celebrate his birth in about, oh, about a week and a couple of days here, Joe. At the end of the day, he was also a Jew, and I guess Jew haters forget that.
SPEAKER 13 :
I guess they do, John. And it’s so sad that in this day and age, there are still people around, what was his name, Mark, that you just banned?
SPEAKER 08 :
Marty.
SPEAKER 13 :
Marty. It’s just so sad in this day and age, people like Marty still exist.
SPEAKER 08 :
Joe, and that’s the one that I just have a really hard time wrapping my head around, because, you know, typically there’s a lot of things that we, you know, he and I would agree on, but where I just have to draw the line, and I’m sorry, I just have to as a host, I have to draw the line at Jew haters, racists, I mean, Joe, if I had somebody that came on here and spewed things out about African Americans or Asians or Hispanics, and they did that day after day after day, would I let them on the program? Of course not. So why would I do it with Jews?
SPEAKER 13 :
You wouldn’t. And by the way, if you want to take a particular bias against any group, if you want to hate the Irish, you can find, if you search long enough, you can find a couple of dozen Irish unethical thugs, schemers, thieves, crooks, killers, murderers. You can always find within any group of people, you can find people to hate.
SPEAKER 08 :
I can find it with white males like myself too, Joe.
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah, but to extrapolate that to an entire race of people, what logic are you using? Okay, you can point to half a dozen people who have done evil, and why does the evil actions of half a dozen apply to a race of millions of people?
SPEAKER 08 :
And it doesn’t. And, Joe, we’ve talked many, many times, and we’re very clear on this. If you look at the amount of deaths, killing, especially of officers and so on, typically it comes out of a very small percentage of the population, the African-American male population. I have numerous African-American male friends who, by the way, would agree with us on the stats that we’re talking about. I held nothing against them whatsoever because they are not those individuals. But yet, by and large, a percentage is not in their favor.
SPEAKER 13 :
Wait, wait, John. I thought that Jews killed more cops than any other ethnic group.
SPEAKER 08 :
You would think so by the way some of these people talk, Joe.
SPEAKER 13 :
By the way, you know, I don’t know if you remember, but every year at the end of the year I do a summary of who’s killing our cops.
SPEAKER 08 :
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER 13 :
And I have yet to find a single Jew cop killer in the last five years.
SPEAKER 08 :
Correct. But yet, Joe, they get attacked, which we just saw over the weekend in Australia. They get attacked constantly just because they are one.
SPEAKER 13 :
Right. And as a race, by the way, maybe it’s bias on my part. I’ve got a lot of Jewish friends. But as a race, they’re probably one of the most pacifist groups. They are. Other than the Jews in Israel who everyone goes into the army, and they’re in a different environment. But in terms of Jews in America, I think Jews in America are some of the most peaceful, pacifying people that I’ve ever met as a group. I don’t know if you share that same story.
SPEAKER 08 :
I haven’t because most people I would think, Joe, that’s sort of just a – in fact, if there’s anything that I don’t like about them at times, it’s, guys, come on. Pull up your pants and let’s get to work. I mean the reality is you cannot be a pacifist and still win at the end of the day. There are certain things we have to fight for.
SPEAKER 13 :
And by the way, it’s so sad too because – and I’ve got many Jews here, and they all lament the fact that so many Jews still support our liberal Democrats. They’re anti-gun. They support anti-gun groups. They support liberal politicians, and they’re shaking their head at their fellow Jews saying – Wake up. You know, liberal Democrats are not doing you any favors as a group of people.
SPEAKER 08 :
That’s right. Joe, there’s days where – and maybe I’m too harsh some days and maybe because it’s Monday and it’s getting to the end of the year and my patience is running thinner as I get older. But, Joe, I’m just – but I thought about this over the weekend. I thought, you know, wait a minute. Time out. I put up with – some of these Jew haters that text in, and I put up with them when they call in on air, and yet I thought to myself over the weekend, Joe, I really thought over this yesterday as I was watching some of this, reflecting even at that time, I wouldn’t put up with somebody calling in or texting in about Hispanics or Asians or the black community, or frankly, Joe, any other sect of society. Why do I put up with that for Jews and I’m not anymore? I’m done.
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, and John, you’re 100% right, you shouldn’t. I mean, it’s bigotry, and it doesn’t matter which group, bigotry is not a trait that you want to tolerate, and I don’t care which group you’re bigoted against. If you don’t like Asians, you don’t like Jews, you don’t like Polacks, you know, you’re a bigot, and I don’t want to associate with you, and I don’t want to hear what you have to say.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, and I am that point, Joe, and so I guess I’ve already started 2026 off on the right foot because I’m not doing this anymore.
SPEAKER 13 :
John, good for you, John.
SPEAKER 08 :
So appreciate you, Joe. Thank you, man. I appreciate that greatly. And by the way, by and large, I’ve had one knucklehead that texted in about, you know, what the Jews contribute to society, which Joe and I just went over. But by and large, all of you listening that are texting in are very much on my side and agree fully with what I said. In fact, a couple of you have even said, I can’t believe you put up with Marty as long as you did. I probably owe you an apology. If there’s any apologies necessary today, it’s probably the fact that, you know what, probably should have done what I did today quite some time ago. I try to be a nice guy. I try to think maybe I can convince some of these people that they’re wrong and show them the error of their ways and so on. But you know what, as I get older, I assume, you know, I’m starting to realize and probably have realized this for a while now, you can’t change the way people think along those lines. I mean, I can try and I can try to give examples and try to, you know, argue if you would, you know, and try to debate, you know, on even the spiritual end of things. But, you know, as I get older, I’m starting to realize that people don’t change. They are who they are. And I’m not going to change Marty. And Marty for sure is not going to change me. I am not going to overnight become a Jew hater. No more than I’m going to get Marty to like Jews or anybody else like Marty. I’m not going to change them. And a lot of that is because there’s this deep, ingrained, moronic view that somehow all Jews are bad. And they’re the reason, they’re the downfall of everything, and they’re the reason why we have the financial situation that we have, and on and on and on we go. I mean, it’s absolute lunacy where these people come from, but they’re the blamers. Everything is somebody else’s problem, so let’s find somebody to pin everything on. In this case, it’s the Jews. Rather than trying to figure out solutions and trying to fix problems, let’s just blame them for everything. And that’s what people like Marty and others like them do. Rather than trying to figure out what can we do here to fix this, let’s just blame somebody for it. So, and by the way, there’s several today that I’ve really said, you need a heart check. You need to go look in the mirror. You really need to look at what you believe and why you believe that. And again, really have a heart check, because you know what, folks? You don’t have to be accountable to me for your actions or for your thoughts, but God himself will make you accountable. He will have that discussion someday. I don’t have to, but you’ll have that with him someday. That I can assure you. That I can guarantee you. There’s not too many guarantees in life. But that one, I can guarantee you, you will have a reckoning someday of your thoughts and your belief and your racism and your hatred of the Jewish nation and the Jews themselves. Trust me when I say that. Paul Leuenberger coming up next. What a great way to save on insurance. Call Paul today. He is my broker. SPEAKER 04 :
Live and local. Back to Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 08 :
All right. Charlie asked me through the break there a moment ago that, you know, these sorts of individuals where, you know, whether it’s a Marty or somebody else. Do they hide this utter hatred for the Jews and then just all of a sudden they get to a tipping point where now they’re just going to vomit all over everybody because of the likes of Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens being more open about this? And so now they somehow feel this privilege, if you would, that, oh, our party is now going mainstream and I feel like I can be more honest with my feelings. In other words, has it always been there and they’re just now more openly honest about it? Yeah, that’s my feeling. I feel like because of what’s happened with the Tuckers and Candace Owens and a few others, they’re not the only two in that realm, but there’s others. I feel like because of that, it’s almost like, oh, now we have permission to talk openly about our hatred for the Jews, so let’s do so. I think it’s always been there. That’s my own opinion. I don’t think this is some overnight, you know, oh, wow, I did a bunch of studying and I now think this and I now realize that. No, I think these are things that as time goes by, they’ve already got this hatred, this racism that’s there. It’s deep-seated. It continues to build and build and build and build and build until it finally gets to the point where, oh, gosh, Others in the party, others around me, others in media are now saying what I’ve always thought. Oh, now I have the freedom to talk about it because others are as well. That’s my thought as to what these particular individuals do. I’m not a psychologist, folks. I’ve never had an ounce of psychology in my entire life. But I don’t think it takes much other than common sense to figure out what I just said a moment ago. They now have permission. to speak freely about their utter vitriol for the Jewish nation and the Jews themselves, and so they’re now going to do so because they feel somehow empowered because of the likes of Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson and folks like them. All right, two more hours coming your way. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 12 :
I’m a rich guy.
