You are gonna shut your damn yamper and listen for a change, because I got you begged, sweetheart. You wanna take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only view to blood.
Let me break this down for you. Life is scary, get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
With your host, John Rush.
My advice to you is to do what your parents did.
Get a job first.
You haven’t made everybody equal.
You’ve made them the same and there’s a big difference.
Let me tell you why you’re here.
You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it.
You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world.
You don’t know what it is, but it’s there.
It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
Are you crazy?
Am I, or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
It’s Rush To Reason, with your host, John Rush. Presented by Hi5 Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling, where every call ends with a high five.
All right, welcome. Happy Tuesday. Rush To Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, Klz560.
Myself, Andy Payton. Of course, Charlie Grimes, our engineer. How’s Andy today?
Andy is doing well. The polls are looking a little better, so I’m getting happier.
I saw that.
Yeah.
We’ll take that.
I want Trump to be president, John.
Well.
Can I make that any more clear?
I think I’ve made that pretty clear as well. I’ve been debating that with some folks not only on the program, but via text message and so on as well. And to me, it’s a pretty easy decision.
I know a lot of people on the left would argue with me on that, but I simply ask the question, you know, and I know there’s some people that would argue that they’re better off today than they were four years ago. But Andy, those are those are people that I would call the minority because the majority of individuals, if you really look hard at where you’re at, and I think even folks, it would say, they’re better off if they really looked at inflation. And even though they think that their their portfolio of investments has increased.
Well, if it hasn’t increased about 30 percent, you’re still worse off than you were four years ago, because that’s what inflation is.
Yeah. Well, yeah. And John, you’re always going to have anecdotal evidence of you’re always going to have people who got a big promotion or got a big raise or got whatever during this four year period.
But it has to remind people, it has to be a 30 percent raise.
Right.
Or you’re no better off.
Yeah. And John, let’s face facts. OK, let’s face facts.
Inflation is universal.
Right.
It has affected everybody all across the board. So it’s not just for these people who, let’s say they have a business and maybe business has gone well. I got news for you.
All of your customers have been crippled by inflation.
Right.
OK, it is hitting everybody. We printed way too much money. And for those who, by the way, I’m saying by the way a lot, sorry about that.
But for those who say, hey, Donald Trump spent a lot too. Yeah, he did because he was in the first. He was in the first two years of COVID when COVID was running, was destroying the world.
Right. OK. By the time Biden came along, COVID had run out.
The only thing keeping him alive was bureaucrats. OK. And yet he upped spending.
Let me ask you this. Can you please tell me the reason that these people, these liberals are giving you for why they’re voting for Kamala Harris? Because about all I hear is abortion.
I mean, is there anything?
And the other one I hear is, well, Trump’s just a scumbag. And I’m like, OK, time out.
But do they even believe that anymore?
First of all, you know, let’s really, you know, if we’re going to go down that path, which I haven’t, and I only go down that path when a liberal goes down the path of Donald Trump being a womanizer and a scumbag and this, that and the other. It’s like, OK, well, you realize that Kamala spent years with, you know, Willie Brown, right? And some would say, well, he was already in the middle of a divorce and blah, blah, blah.
No, folks, don’t use that excuse because no, he wasn’t.
Yeah, I’m sure his ex feels great about that.
I was just going to say, if you went and had a conversation with his ex-wife and kids, I doubt very seriously if they would feel the same way about.
Look, the bottom line is Kamala was very morally loose. And I’m going to tell you something. So was Bill Clinton.
And I don’t care about either of that.
Yeah, thank you. I don’t bring any of that up, which, by the way, I don’t bring it up, which means I don’t want you bringing it up about Donald Trump either, because neither one, in my opinion, make any difference, Andy.
Right. When people say to me, how can you support a scumbag like Donald Trump? Somebody with that kind of a past, I say, oh, that’s easy, because I apply the same measure to him as I did to Bill Clinton or to anybody else.
I apply it across the board. I don’t pick and choose. Bill Clinton was horrible in his personal life.
Guess what? It didn’t affect my life. It didn’t affect the job that he did.
Right. And honestly, together with Newt Gingrich, who reigned him in, he wound up doing a pretty decent job, okay, largely because of Newt. But look, I don’t care.
Their personal life doesn’t affect you. What they do with their pen does. And what Donald Trump did with his pen is give us a booming economy that helped people in every single level of life.
You got it. All right, impossible question. We’ll come back with more on this, by the way.
I’ve got something I want to play along those lines in just one moment to reinforce what Andy and I are saying. But before that, the impossible question in 1944, Shoichi Yoki, a Japanese sergeant, got left behind in Guam by retreating forces. How many years did he survive the jungles of Guam before being discovered?
Twenty eight years, Andy.
Wow.
It’s a long time.
Oh, my goodness.
Only a 200 square mile island. Granted, that’s a lot when you’re, I guess, on foot. But still, still, that’s a long time.
That’s that’s incredible.
It really is. So congratulations, Tim. Today’s a possible question.
Name the person who is known as the father of coronary bypass surgery. So that is the question of the day. So in line with what Andy was saying a moment ago about Kamala.
And again, I always have the same question that I ask people. And let me give you an example of why I really have a hard time understanding why anybody, anybody would vote for her because she was at a a town hall recently where people were able to either be in studio or be on camera and ask questions. So this particular couple asks a question on camera.
Okay, before you play it. So this isn’t like the debate where she was fed the questions in advance, which you know she was.
But these are probably Andy on the same token, probably questions that.
Softball.
Well, and I would guess that her team would have said, be prepared for this.
Pretty easy stuff.
Because you know it’s coming. In fact, this particular question you knew was coming because of the state of where we’re at as a country. And let me play and you’ll know really quick by what I mean.
Here we go.
I really would love to know what your plan is to help lower the cost of living.
Okay, so somebody added the terrified look in the screen because the look on her face is that way.
Yeah, first of all, thank you both for being here. And yours is a story I hear around the country as I travel. And in terms of both rightly having the right to have aspirations and dreams and aspirations for your family and working hard and finding that the American dream is for this generation and so many recently far more elusive than it’s been.
Where’s the answer?
Answer? She didn’t even get their question.
No, she didn’t.
I mean, she went off on a tangent to a tangent.
As I’ve said numerous times, and again, this is directed at those that are on the left that think she’s great and you’re going to vote for her. She literally is the lowest IQ individual in any room you put her in. And I just proved that because she didn’t even have the wisdom to restate their question with an answer to it.
Well, you know, one of the ways I would fix the economy, and she could even add something into the in there, which they haven’t, which probably why you couldn’t add anything in. But you could even add some things recently that maybe, maybe the Biden administration has done, albeit there’s not much, but find some tidbit you could throw in there to then answer their question.
Right. Well, the very first thing you do is you repeat their question back to them in in different in your own words. And you so you can show them that you’re listening to them.
So you say something like, look, I understand you’re concerned because you and other people that you know, they’re struggling. They’re dollars and going as far as it used to.
You’re paying more for all of your basic essentials than you were several years ago.
Okay. So the second-
Which again, though, you’re almost throwing your admin under the bus when you say that.
Well, no. But then you come back and say, now there have been a lot of factors that are played into that and they’re global. But there are things that we can do locally that can help us in this regard.
Here’s some things that we have in mind. And then you give some plans. That’s the best way you do it.
First, you relate. Then you broaden the guilt beyond your administration to global. And then you come back and give some neat ideas that you’re doing.
We are pushing this initiative to where we’ll invest more in these kinds of things that will help you and so forth. Basically, we’re going to buy your vote and here’s how. Right.
That is what she should have done instead. I listen to that and I’m just wondering, is she functional?
No, Andy, she’s not.
John, this is why it always comes back to this. There are no Kamala voters. There are pro-Trump voters and there are anti-Trump voters.
That’s right. This entire election is about one person. It’s about Donald Trump.
It has nothing to do with her. And I know there are people now, there are people who say, well, yeah, but she is a woman of color. Right.
Okay. Then it’s about a woman of color, but it’s not about Kamala.
It’s still not about her.
Yeah. There are a lot of women of color.
Right.
By the way, there are a lot of them who would be much better than Kamala, just, you know.
To your point, still not about her.
Condi Rice leaps to mind. But, you know, yeah, it’s still not about her.
No.
Okay. This isn’t about her at all. Nobody is voting for Kamala Harris.
Not one single person is. Yeah.
That’s all it comes down to.
Right. You’re either voting. You either are voting for him or you hate him.
And I just wish we could diffuse a lot of the emotions on it and do what you’ve been talking about the last couple of days on air. I’ve been listening to you get to the issues. How does it affect your life?
Go ahead.
I said earlier today to somebody that I was talking to, one of my clients, and I mean this, and who would it be? I don’t know. But the reality is, if we had any other candidate besides Donald Trump, Oh, it’s a blowout.
Kamala Harris would not be their candidate.
No, she wouldn’t.
So there’d be a whole different field right now, and we’d have different conversations completely than what we’re having right now.
Right, because Donald Trump is disliked by about 60% of the country.
And I know that.
Yeah, you know, and which is unfortunate because I disagree with that 60% strongly. I like him. Okay.
But that is the fact.
No, it’s just a fact, Andy.
It’s just a fact. Yeah. I mean, if we had DeSantis as the candidate right now, it would be over.
If we had Feveik, if we had Tulsi, if we had, you know.
Anybody Andy.
Virtually anybody else.
Sorry, anybody.
Nikki Haley would win a landslide. Now, she wouldn’t in some way, she wouldn’t be the president I would want, but she would win a landslide. There’s no question.
And that’s the reality. And folks, these are some of the things that we talked about months, years ago, even several years ago, even after the 2020 election, we talked about these very things. And again, it makes sure I’m very, very clear on this.
I want to be crystal clear. It’s not because we’re against Donald Trump. It’s because we want to win.
Yeah.
It’s that simple.
We want to win for Trump’s values because guess what? John and I share virtually all of Trump’s values.
But those values can’t be implemented if you lose.
Right. Yeah. In fact, you need to win and you need to win big.
And by the way, for all the Trump supporters who circulate little recordings like that of Kamala that we just played, that’s very funny. And they circulate that. We can laugh at it.
I want you guys to realize something. Yes, that’s how bad she is. And we’re running neck and neck.
Yep, amazing.
How sad is that?
Sad, because it doesn’t have to be this way.
I still think we’re going to win, John, I do. I just, this shouldn’t be a race. This shouldn’t be a race.
I agree. All right, we’ll come right back. Don’t go anywhere.

Folks, you need an annual roof inspection. I know for some that might seem like overkill, but trust me, it’s not. It’s how you maintain things and have them last longer because insurance costs on your roof is rising, literally, pardon the pun, but it is, it’s rising, and most people don’t even know what their deductible is on their roof and typically it’s much larger than you think.
So get your roof inspection done now. Call Dave Hard, 303-710-6916.
Have you recently received a letter saying that your roof is no longer covered under your insurance due to its age? With over 4 million square feet treated every week, we here at Roof Savers Colorado strive to maximize the life of your residential or flat roof.

With the rejuvenation treatment, we can put critical oils that bind your roof together back into the asphalt shingles, adding up to 15 years of life to your existing roof. And it’s 100% people, pet, and plant friendly. For your commercial or flat roof needs, we provide a silicone-based coating with up to 95% UV reflectivity and a 50-year ponding warranty.

Now back to John Rush.
All right, this is something that went out in a tweet, an X post. So I cannot verify this, although others will when it’s all said and done. And I didn’t have this in my notes until just a few minutes ago when it was posted.
And it really makes you ask the question, what are we doing here? So this post says, the US. Air Force, so USAF, is now a taxpayer funded global transportation service for a foreign dictator actively campaigning for Democrats in swing states.
In other words, Zalinski is being flown around by the US. Air Force to go to swing states and basically campaign for Democrats.
That is disgusting.
When did that become even legal, Andy?
Take it from this Air Force vet. That is very, that is disgusting.
Put this in here just for you, by the way.
Yeah. By the way, I can understand. Look, flying around dignitaries, that kind of thing happens.
But, but if he’s going around campaigning for one party over another, and that’s where I said, I don’t know specifically if that’s really the case.
Again, this isn’t my post. It’s someone else’s.
But so it’s not verified.
It’s not verified.
Fair enough.
But you have to wonder, because you have seen him do things along these lines. So would this surprise me? No.
Well, no, it wouldn’t surprise you because he wants the grift to continue. He wants the money to keep flowing. The money is going to stop if Trump and Vance come into office.
And he knows that. And so he is trying to stop. He is getting involved in our elections, trying to stop them from coming to power.
Correct. He wants the same folks that are there now that is funding his war machine. And right, wrong, or other ways, you can be on either side of the aisle.
By the way, I’m on neither. I’m like Donald Trump. In this particular case, what I really love about Donald Trump is the whole Ukraine war thing, because he’s just like me.
I just want the thing done. Right. People will ask him, who do you want to win?
It’s neither. I want it to go back to the way it was. I want the thing done and over with.
We’re spending far too much money. Putin has done far too much to be the aggressor. But at the end of the day, I just want the thing done and over with.
I’m tired of spending money on it.
Yeah. I mean, I don’t support Putin, but I don’t support Zelensky. Guess what?
I find them both to be corrupt, reprehensible, awful people.
I just want it done.
But Putin invaded Zelensky’s come. You know, I get that. I get that.
You don’t invade a country. I’m all down with that. But folks, you got to keep in mind two things.
Number one, we are financing Putin. How? By not drill, baby, drill.
By not increasing our upcoming stores of oil and gas. That keeps his main product high in value, which means he can fund his war machine. And we are also financing Zelensky.
So the thing is this.
We are also financing Russia through the garbage we’ve done with Iran because those two are also in bed with one another. So the reality, Andy, is we are really funding both sides right now.
That’s what I’m saying, John. This entire war that’s happening there, all the people who are dying on each side are dying because of us. That war ends the moment we say we’re not going to help either side anymore.
Guess what, once Trump comes into office, he’s going to drill, baby drill. Oil prices are going to come down. Russia’s not going to be able to afford to continue this.
And he’s going to look at Ukraine and say, and by the way, we’re not going to keep paying for you either. Guess what? You both better make a deal.
We will help you make a deal.
What will happen?
Because also both of you want us as a trade partner.
I will guarantee you, Andy, first thing would happen, day after the election, if Trump wins. I guarantee you, this one I could almost script. The day after the election, Trump’s on the phone with both of them.
Guys, I need a conference call. We’re going to have a conversation here. And guess what?
By the time I’m inaugurated, this deal’s done. So you two figure out what’s going to happen to get this thing taken care of. Because by the way, the minute I’m inaugurated, all funding stops.
Both sides, by the way. Both sides, because guess what? No more money’s going to go to Iran, Mr. Putin.
Oil prices are going to drop. In fact, that’s going to happen today because I’ve already won and the markets already know what’s going to happen, which by the way means oil will drop the very next day. That one I can guarantee you as well.
Yeah, oil prices go on future.
Correct. So it’ll drop the day after the election if Trump wins. So at the end of the day, he’s on the phone saying, guys, guess what?
The money’s now dried up. How are you going to get this thing done? And those of you that are on the left, by the way, if you don’t believe me, you’re smoking dope.
Because that’s exactly what will happen the day after the election.
I don’t understand people on the left when it comes to the Ukraine War, to the Russia-Ukraine War, to just look at one side and say, well, they’re the villain because they invaded. Okay, I’m good with that. They’re a villain, they invaded.
I agree.
But keep in mind, number one, the place they invaded is full of incredibly corrupt, dishonest people. Okay. I’m talking in the government.
I’m not the people.
I agree.
I don’t know the people. But number two…
By the way, I think the people would agree with you. I’ve talked to some of them. They would agree with you.
Yes, they would agree with me.
I’ve talked to them.
And number two, and number two, to all you people on the left, you do understand no money, no war. I mean, you guys on the left have been saying for years, you want to defund our military because you believe if we don’t have that war machine, we won’t have any war. You’re wrong, by the way, because other people will still have war machines and you’re stupid.
But let’s hypothetically say that that’s right. I think we can at least say this. If you defund both sides, there won’t be a war.
OK, and Trump will do that. And Biden and then Harris are making sure that both sides are loaded with money.
They’ll be the opposite with those two. Yes, just like it is right now. The amount of money that we have spent on a war we should not be involved in is astronomical.
While neglecting our own border.
And while being 34 trillion dollars in debt.
Yes, we’re 34 trillion dollars in debt. OK, we are funding the Ukraine war with our kids’ credit cards.
Correct.
This is crazy. It’s crazy.
It’s ludicrous, Andy. It’s absolutely… The way I’ve explained it many times on this program, and I’ll do it one more time.
We as the United States are like the quote-unquote, I put air quotes around this, the rich neighbor on the block, who’s got all the new cars, has a fanciest house on the block, he’s got all the toys, he’s got everything. Problem is, it’s all on borrowed money. Literally every single thing that neighbor owns is because he’s got every single thing that he owns hawked to the hilt to the point that literally he could take out bankruptcy tomorrow.
But the neighbor across the street all of a sudden needs something. He needs help fighting another bad neighbor. So guess what?
We go and even borrow more money as the rich neighbor on the block to help the guy across the street fight the other neighbor he doesn’t like. They invaded his backyard.
Exactly. And oh, gee, by the way, John, by the way, the reason that guy needs help is because we hurt ourselves even more by not drilling for oil. We actually added to dramatically to our debt.
We hurt ourselves economically and added dramatically to our debt, and that empowered that person to invade.
Correct. Correct.
I mean, this is ridiculous.
Folks, we’re approaching $60 billion. And by the way, that number is higher than that. That’s just some, that’s the quote unquote published numbers.
Trust me, there’s been a lot more money that’s gone to Ukraine than that. I would venture to guess that that number is somewhere in the $120 to $130 billion dollar range when it’s all said and done.
John, we would have a full border war for half that. A border war, sorry. A full border wall for half that.
A full wall.
I mean, top of the line, folks.
All the lefties, including the one running for president right now who said we couldn’t pay for the border wall. It’s okay to spend, you know, this is numbers that are written down and talked about, although I think they’re not the real numbers. It’s at least $60 billion right there.
Yeah.
It’s ridiculous, folks. Absolutely ridiculous. No reason why we should be doing that whatsoever.
None. And Trump would end that. He’s even said that he’ll end it.
Trump has said, by the time I am inaugurated, that war will be over. And that I believe him on. I do too.
Oh, yes, I do too.
In fact, I would tell you, by Christmas it would be done.
Because first of all, both of them know that the money tree is about to stop being shaken. And secondly, they also want us as a trade partner. Don’t people understand what kind of leverage we have with these countries?
It’s huge. And that’s why we started this whole conversation talking about Zelensky actually campaigning on behalf of Democrats. Again, I can’t prove that, but that would not shock me.
And I’m sure other people will vet that. So far, I’ve been reading the posts following that particular post. And I haven’t seen anything that discredits that post.
And typically, if something’s wrong, somebody will post it right off the bat, and you’ll know right away whether it’s a valid post or not, Andy.
Oh, I agree. Quick question for you. Then we can go to break.
Okay.
Yes, Charlie, that would be foreign influence on an election. Absolutely.
Oh, totally. Yes. Okay.
Quick question for you, John. Zelensky and his compadres, his buddies, have they gotten wealthier or poorer during the war?
Way wealthier.
Oh, gee, how could that happen?
Because they’re sucking all the money out of it, which is what happens in wars.
You bet, baby.
The guys at the top win, the guys at the bottom don’t. That’s why, because I’ve talked to some of the citizenry from both countries, by the way, folks, they both know it’s politics. They both want it ended, and neither one are mad at each other.
Yeah. Is Putin gonna die?
No.
No. Are any of the people close to Putin gonna die?
No.
No. Same with Zelensky. Look, folks, they’ve got people dying in the front lines.
Those are the peons. Those are the pawns. They’re dying while the people on top are getting rich.
And we’re helping.

Now, back to Rush To Reason, presented by Hi5 Plumbing Heating and Cooling, where every call ends with a high five.
All right, we are back, Rush To Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, Klz560, myself, Andy Pate. Okay, so really quick, Johnson, our speaker, Speaker Johnson.
Yeah.
Lot of criticism the other day, you know, from different individuals, because the powers that be, maybe that’s the best way for me to say that, Andy, he didn’t like the deal that he had put through as a way to advert the government shutdown, which is looming. So now he’s rolling out a plan B to advert the shutdown. And what I would say along those lines, and I’ve said this with virtually every shutdown, especially in these times.
Now, when Trump was doing it and he let the thing shut down for a while, I could have cared less. We didn’t have anything politically at stake that would have mattered at that point. It didn’t matter.
He shut things down for a while. I think it was the longest government shutdown, which, by the way, that’s an oxymoron, because the government really doesn’t shut down, only non-essential services shut down, which frankly means, why are we using them at all? But that’s a whole other conversation for another day.
Bottom line, there was no damage.
No, there never is because it’s non-essential services, so it really didn’t make any difference at the end of the day. Now, with all that being said, right now is not the time to do that. I will tell you, when we go into the election cycle we’re in right now where we’re trying to get our guy elected, the last thing we need, and I know people out there will differ with me, there’s some people inside the House, Republicans inside the House that don’t agree with me, they’re knuckleheads by the way, because right now you do what you need to to avoid the shutdown.
Right.
Period. You just suck it up and move forward.
Look, when you are leading the Democrats in almost every issue, the last thing you want to do is give them an issue.
Yeah, don’t give them this, folks. Do not give them this fodder.
Because all you’re doing is getting a short-term thing to get us through a short-term period.
Correct.
Look, we just want this off the table during the election.
As much as I agree, there’s things in it that shouldn’t be, and they’ll be funding for things that none of us like.
Right.
Reality is you do it for a short time. You get us through February or March. February or March, I should say.
And at the end of the day, you deal with that then, Andy.
Yeah. And what do you do, John? Because they’ll always come back at you, people on our side, and say, I know the hard course.
Well, they’ll start giving you the specifics, and they’ll say, yes, but this is in it. Yes, but that’s in it. Yes, but this is in it.
Yes, but that’s in it. And they act like you support those things.
No, I don’t support any of that.
If you don’t want it defunded right now, it doesn’t matter to them that we are in an election season.
If it wasn’t for that, I would agree. And I’ve even had arguments with Jordan Goodman on this over the years. Okay, who cares?
Let it shut down. I remember arguing with him when it was shut down because we went almost three months with it shut down. And he and I had vast differences of opinions on whether a shut down was good or not.
I ended up being right. Jordan ended up being wrong because at the end of the day, it literally virtually did nothing when it was all said and done.
Yeah, actually we had that disagreement with them because I was on your side.
Correct, yeah, and it does nothing when it’s all said and done, Andy.
I also, I don’t mind a shutdown. I don’t mind it at all. In fact, I think it’s a great thing if it helps us get to a better place with our budget.
It’s typically a wake up call for the budget, which sometimes we need. Not now, though.
No, not now.
Not now. Now is the last time frame you’d ever want to do this because of what’s coming up in November. Right.
So for all of the hardcore Trumpsters that are out there, and there’s a lot of you that listen, and a lot of you would be on that side where, no, just let the thing shut down. Yeah, no, not now. Not now.
And by the way, I want to also remind all of you that are in that particular realm as well. You asked for Mike. You have who you wanted because you didn’t want McCarthy, remember?
You didn’t want Kevin McCarthy back in the day.
You insisted he had to go.
You insisted that guy needed to leave, and I…
You followed Matt Gaetz, and you lost us three seats in doing so.
Yeah, I don’t want to, you know, I guess I should ask you all, how’s this worked out for you?
It’s been awful.
Because it… Nothing against Mike Johnson. I think he’s a genuinely good guy, but are we any better off today than we were under McCarthy?
Oh, we’re worse off.
Thank you.
We’re worse off. We have less leverage.
Yeah, thank you.
We now have… I mean, we already had a tight majority. Now we have a razor thin majority, and that is because of Matt Gaetz.
Right, and the knuckleheads that follow him.
Yeah, and I don’t even… It’s not like I hate Matt Gaetz. I don’t hate Matt Gaetz.
Oh, I despise the guy. I’ll go on record saying that.
That’s fine. To me, I hate…
He and Dave Williams are in the same camp, if you ask me. I despise both of them.
I understand that.
Because they destroy the party from within, Andy.
I hate stupid strategy. I hate really, really, really bad strategy that doesn’t look at the consequences like losing three seats in the house. When you don’t look at things like that, you’re dumb.
You’re dumb.
They both are in that regard.
Yeah, and now people look at Johnson. The same people who supported Matt Gaetz, who cost us three seats, now look at Speaker Johnson, who has no majority, guys. He has no functional majority.
Well, we have one or two seats or whatever more than they do.
You lost us that, Matt Gaetz.
Guys, first of all, you guys cost us those seats, you and Matt Gaetz, and secondly, I got news for you. A number of our Republican seats are held in very, let’s say, blue-leaning purple districts.
Tight districts.
They cannot vote the way you would like them to. They can’t. Okay.
What does that mean? It means we don’t have a functioning majority.
You did that.
Okay. And now you’re, and now those same people are looking at the current speaker and bashing him and saying, you’re not, you’re not delivering enough.
You’re not good enough. And it’s just like, you’re not conservative enough, Andy.
You’re complaining that he’s not delivering enough when you took away his leverage. It’s like, John, it’s like, if I were to come to you, you know, your car is parked downstairs. If I were to go down there and take the tires off and then complain about how slowly you went home, this is ridiculous.
I took your tires away.
Andy, I don’t get it. I just have to shake my head because this is the mentality of some of those, not all, but some of those on the right, on our side. And as I’ve said, even to lefties, I’ll criticize either side, mine included, which I’m doing right now.
I mean, these are people that literally have no, not only political strategy, Andy, they just don’t have any strategy in life, period. And I mean that sincerely. And I know you’ve got nothing personal against Matt Gaetz.
I despise the guy. That’s fair. I think he’s a total loser.
The guy needs to be out of politics forever. Same as Dave Williams. They both just need to ride off in the sunset and be gone.
Now, individually, in this family, whatever, fine, go do whatever you want to go do. But as politicians, especially, ride off into the sunset and leave our party alone because you’ve done nothing but destroy it.
Yes, absolutely. You know, and that’s really a shame with Matt Gaetz. He’s actually quite gifted.
He’s a very talented guy. I don’t think Dave is. Okay, but Matt Gaetz really is.
On some levels, but he’s still a moron.
Yeah.
Sorry. He may be very gifted. He has no strategy in his bones whatsoever.
Look, John, it’s very simple. Rage is not a strategy.
No. Well, Andy, it’s actually the opposite of strategy. Because now you’re basing things off of emotions, not off of what’s really going on in the real world.
Right. Your rage doesn’t sell.
Andy, rage period never ends well. Period. Whether that be in a relationship, whether it be in business with a customer, whether it be in business with an employee, whether it be with whoever you’re dealing with, whether it be with a spouse, whether it be with a child, whether it be with whatever.
Rage never works, Andy.
You know, it’s really unfortunate, John. And I agree with you.
Maybe that’s why God himself said, Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord. Really what he’s saying is, take the rage away because you can’t deal with it.
Yeah, you can’t deal with it. Leave vengeance to me.
Is that why he maybe said that, Andy?
Well, yeah.
I mean, that’s really best, right?
John, you and I, we both, we have something in common. We both love revenge movies. We do.
I mean, I love a good revenge movie. I love Taken, you know, where he gets even with them and all this. But here’s the thing, folks, with every one of those great stories where somebody does get revenge and their rage and they take it out and they exert justice and they get justice for every one of those.
I guarantee you there are a hundred circumstances that don’t get a movie made about them, where someone’s rage ruins their own life. Or their business. Or their marriage.
Or their, you know, whatever. It doesn’t work. It’s not good for you.
What do you think?
I agree.
But we love those movies.
I love those movies. And I think, too, just to make sure that I’m clear on this, I think there’s a difference between anger, and there is righteous anger, by the way. There’s a difference between vengeance and anger.
Anger is just being mad. Vengeance is taking action on that anger and affecting the outcome some way, somehow.
Exactly. Well, John, I mean, why is Donald Trump our candidate? It’s because Republican voters don’t put winning number one, they put vengeance number one.
They want revenge for 2020.
Correct.
And that is why they would not accept. And then when they started getting pinned down on that, they would say, oh, no, no, no, no, it’s, I trust them. No, it’s because you want revenge for 2020.
Correct. Correct. You’re right.

Now back to Rush To Reason on Klz560.
All right, we are back Rush To Reason Denver’s Afternoon Rush, Klz560. Thanks for tuning in. Andy, did you have something you wanted to play as well, by the way?
Yeah, I do. And this is from Megan Kelly. She was on a panel and she’s just terrific, you know.
I think Megan Kelly is brilliant. But one of the people who’s on the panel, he’s the leftist, left leaning, certainly. He was bringing up a very common argument against Donald Trump.
And you and I talked about this about a year ago. I said, John, one of the big problems with Trump is there’s too much smoke. And so people can say where there’s that much smoke, there is fire.
Exactly. And so what they’re going to say is, you know, even if they bring that many lawsuits, if they can nail them on a few of them, it makes him look guilty enough to where they can hurt him. And this guy is going to bring this up.
Now it’s a three minute segment. And listen to how Megyn Kelly tears him apart.
And I think Trump on a PO will win. There are so many holes in that case. So I don’t think Trump will ever do one single day in jail.
So, Megyn, if we look at the five cases, you know, six months from now or a year from now, let’s assume all five of them go to trial. He’s guilty of three so far.
What do you mean he’s guilty of three so far?
Well, he’s been convicted of three, sorry.
What do you mean, no, he hasn’t.
No, Eugene Carroll was guilty.
That was not a conviction, that was a civil case.
Well, yes, so that’s what I’m talking about.
Okay, but there’s a big difference.
Still he was convicted, he was guilty of that, so you gotta settle him.
In the, yeah, in the Trump organization, they’re guilty there.
Again, civil, liable, liable.
Yes, of course, but these are the cases we’re talking about, and in the third one-
You know she’s the lawyer, right?
Yeah, of course, and in the third one- I’m just talking about the five cases. Yes, some are civil, obviously, and some are not, some are criminal.
But if we look at all five- You said three convictions, now you’re walking it back. I’m not walking it back.
There’s three in which he was-
You should walk it back.
I’m so glad Megan is here to dispel this.
Of the five, three of them, he’s either guilty or-
He got a bad result.
Yeah, he got a bad result. There are two more. If he is found guilty of those two more, Megan, and five of five, he had a bad result.
Way to frame it. Will you chalk all five up in your mind to five different jurisdictions, five different prosecutors, five different juries and or judges, all conspiring to get him?
100 percent.
Okay.
That’s all I wanted to hear your answer to.
Five of five, five different jurisdictions, you think it’s all lawfare.
First, 100 percent. In a moment, she’s going to break it down and it’s brilliant. She’s going to be lightning fast for all five, but wow.
So far, is that brilliant?
Yes.
Here we go.
Carol, they changed the law so that she could bring a civil lawsuit against him, and she did. New York jury, New York went 87 percent for Joe Biden. That that that fix was in right from the start.
The fraud trial that Letitia James brought against him has never been brought. There’s no victims. The banks who were involved said we didn’t lose a penny.
What are we doing here? We weren’t damaged. Nobody was complaining except Tish James, who ran for office saying, I will get him.
Then you have Alvin Bragg, who’s a George Soros funded prosecutor, who doesn’t like to prosecute any crime in New York City where I lived for 17 years, except if your name is Donald Trump. Let’s go down to Georgia, where Fannie Willis and Nathan Wade couldn’t keep their libidos in check long enough to actually bring this case against Donald Trump. It’s a repeat of what was happening in January 6th up in the case with Judge Chutkin, who loathes Trump and has sentenced almost every J6 defendant to way more jail time than their counterparts would get.
Those are falling apart because of presidential immunity, which was handed down by the Supreme Court who said, You cannot bring a criminal case against a sitting president for any official act. Those cases have been gutted, also a Supreme Court ruling saying the same on January 6th defendants in general. And that leaves us with Florida and the documents.
And Trump has torn that apart because Jack Smith wasn’t properly appointed and isn’t the right counsel, but there are other issues they haven’t even gotten to presidential immunity there. And so that one’s going nowhere as well. And by the way, they’re gonna appeal it up to the 11th circuit.
She just threw it out. The 11th circuit is conservative and thank God, so is the current Supreme Court. They’re not gonna tolerate that nonsense.
Let me ask you about…
Okay.
Wow.
She had no idea that question was coming. By the way, folks, she had no idea that question was coming. And she just proved, yes, it is a conspiracy.
Yes, they are all conspiring together. The left works like the Borg. They all work together.
And they’re not like us, where we just argue amongst ourselves all the time. The left, they work all as one team. And yes, they are conspiring against Donald Trump.
And yes, they are unfair. And yes, all of those suits should be thrown out. What do you think, John?
Fully agree. She’s spot on. And I think one of the things that we don’t do enough of on our side is even explaining the differences between a criminal suit, a criminal prosecution versus a civil suit.
Let’s say it that way. There is a big difference between those two. Andy, I could sue you today because I don’t like the color of your shirt.
It’s as simple as that. Now, criminally, is there anything wrong with your shirt? Absolutely not.
There’s not a single thing wrong with you wearing a green shirt. But if I don’t like that Packers shirt that you’re wearing right now, being a Denver Broncos fan that I am, I could essentially bring you to court saying, you know, I just hate the fact that Andy wears that shirt every day and he shouldn’t be allowed to.
You probably should.
And by the way, by the way, this is a great explanation. This is a great analogy. If I went to a jury and I was able to find enough Bronco fans to put on said jury that agree with me that they don’t like the fact that Andy wears a Green Bay Packers shirt as often as he does, and he shouldn’t be wearing it at all.
And all of us as Bronco fans on the jury agree. Guess what? I win.
Yes.
Doesn’t mean that Andy’s wrong. It just means that I was able to get enough people on the jury that support my view and I win.
And if the jury was all Bears fans, you could get the death penalty.
Probably.
Exactly.
I mean, I sound as ludicrous as that sounds, Andy. That’s how that works.
Right. And this is what I want people to see. Folks, look, we’re talking about a man who has never called a racist until he ran for president.
We’re talking about a man who has never called anything before he ran for president. We’re talking about a man who you didn’t have any of these lawsuits against until he ran for president. Now, he has to deal with it night, day, night and day, night and day.
If that doesn’t show you the weaponization of the courts, then America, what will show you?
She did a great job breaking that down, explaining how that works, because the left wants to go ahead and throw out there all of these quote unquote convictions. In a civil trial, there’s no such thing. There isn’t a guilty not guilty.
It’s a matter of whether there was an award given to one side or not the other. In other words, the side that brought the suit, are they awarded a judgment or not? That’s really all this comes down to.
And again, you could, that’s that old saying, you could sue somebody over an egg salad sandwich if you want to. At the end of the day, civil suits really, at the end of the day, folks, mean absolutely zero zilch nada.
Right.
Nothing.
Why do you think so many are settled?
Out of court because people don’t want to hassle with even going through them in the first place.
Well, yeah, I was being rhetorical. But yeah, you see what I mean. That’s why.
Because it’s just a big hassle. Joe, we got about two minutes. Go ahead.
John, one other huge difference between a civil and criminal trial. Criminal trial, the standard is beyond a reasonable doubt. Civil trial is simply preponderance of the evidence, what’s most likely.
So if you look at the E. Jean Carroll case, I mean, there were so many holes, so much reasonable doubt in the E. Jean Carroll case, but it was simply, quote, the preponderance of the evidence.
The other thing too that happens in civil cases that doesn’t typically happen in criminal cases because of the nature of the trial itself is, in civil cases there may be all sorts of evidence that you could bring that actually show that your side actually shouldn’t have a judgment awarded against it, but if all of a sudden that judge doesn’t feel like that evidence should be submitted, he or she can just on a whim say, yeah, we’re not allowing that.
Absolutely. So, and there’s so much, and by the way, the E.
Jean Carroll case. Some of you are asking, well, John, how do you know all of this? Because I’ve been involved in some of these in the past, Joe.
That’s why.
You and I both, John, I’ve been in court three or four times.
When you own businesses, these things happen. Let’s just say it that way.
Yep. And again, it’s simply…
By the way, civil cases, for all of you listening, are a joke.
They are.
A total joke. Which, if we had tort reform in this country, Joe, they wouldn’t happen as much.
That’s absolutely correct. And again, it’s not even reasonable doubt. So, that’s just a huge difference I want to point out there, too.
I appreciate it, Joe. With that, I gotta run. Appreciate that very much.
American National Insurance is next. Now, by the way, where a lot of these come from is insurance, Andy. Yes.
And a lot of cases are settled out of court because of the insurance sides of things, because insurance companies know everything Andy and I just said and Joe said are true, and they know that full well. It’s why you should be properly insured to make sure that these things don’t happen in the first place. Talk to my good friend Paul to make sure you are 303-662-0789.
Paul Lewenberger will teach you how to pay for home insurance the right way, saving money on premiums while protecting yourself from catastrophic costs in the future. We don’t yell at you, we inform you. Now, back to Rush To Reason.
And welcome back to Rush To Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, Klz560. Okay, John, really quick here. What if a guy who had never had anything, you know, been found guilty or had anything brought against him for decades and decades, suddenly had it all brought against him, like Donald Trump?
But it was a black woman. Would people then look at the court system and say it’s being weaponized?
Yes, they would. Yes, they would, for sure. All right, we’ll be back.
Hour two is next. Rush To Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, Klz560.
