And it’s a time when we reflect on the things that matter in life. Now, San Diego, I mean, all the cities are liberal, but San Diego, from what I’ve heard, is less liberal than the other major cities, certainly the Bay Area or California.

Right, less, but however, they have a liberal mayor, and they’re always changing the laws to be more liberal, and the city’s falling apart. Not as bad as the other two, but it’s on its way.

You know, what I don’t understand, Tanner, is how can they not look at the other cities in California and see the absolute collapse? We’re talking complete, absolute collapse. I mean, look what just happened with the wildfires in L.A. I think we could actually flip a couple seats here. in November just because of the wildfires and how they were handled because it was totally by Democrats.

Right. Well, and people also forget Orange County and the city of Orange. I’m pretty sure it’s still in the top ten cities in the U.S. It’s way more conservative, but you never hear any problems going on there. No. Because it’s conservative-run and a lot of conservative people, and nothing ever happens, and they’re right under L.A. But it’s clean. You don’t see any crime, homelessness. Everything’s run correctly. They’re always building new stuff that they need.

Yeah. Well, OK, we’re going to talk a little just at the beginning. I want to talk a little about California because as of the first, they got some new laws coming in. I just want to give a couple. OK, first of all, this comes from Riley Gaines, who I love. Effective January 1st in California, it’s illegal to declaw a cat. What? It’s illegal to declaw a cat because it’s inhumane and causes chronic pain. Yet a 13-year-old girl can go to the doctor to surgically remove her healthy breasts. If you don’t see the issue here, then you are the issue. And that’s coming from Riley Gaines. Okay, you can’t declaw a cat.

Who cares? I mean, for crying out loud, well… If you have an indoor cat, it doesn’t need claws.

No. Are their claws just going to keep growing? Are they going to be like a lot of these YouTubers from California who get these five-inch claws?

Exactly. So you’re going to have cats all over the state of California with long, false nails. They’re like five inches that their owners give to them just so that they can claw people.

They’re the new guard dog angry cats in California. This is ridiculous. Declawing a cat is a good thing. Okay. I don’t want Muffy to be able to grip into me.

No. And I’ve had declawed cats. And guess what? It was fine.

My cat’s not declawed, but she’s a hunter. And it’s not like she claws anyone.

Oh, okay. We used to, when I was a kid, my family, we are not the most creative bunch, okay? We had three straight cats, all of which we named Sam. I’m not kidding. And the first one was Gray Sam. Then there was Black Sam. And then there was Siamese Sam. Now, Gray Sam was just a cat. Black Sam was a large, incredibly muscular cat that looked like a panther. And he was the hunter. Black Sam brought home rabbits and everything. I saw Black Sam once kill, it was a bird. He leapt off the roof to get it.

Wow. Landed on its feet.

Yeah. And I mean, Black Sam was a hunter, a hunter killer. Now, Siamese Sam was a sumo. Okay. He was the fattest cat I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I literally used him as a pillow. Okay. We’re getting off topic here. Let’s get back to California. But declawing cats, I don’t think it’s a bad thing to do. I don’t think you have to, but I just, I think this is ridiculous. Okay. This is the funnier one. Oh, my God. This is for kids who don’t reach a certain height limit. Booster seats until the age of 16.

I remember when I could sit in the front seat at like nine.

How would you like to be a 15 year old? And just because you’re shorter.

You’re 5’3 or something?

Yeah, you’re 5’3 or whatever. I have no idea what the height is because it was so stupid I didn’t even bother looking. And you’re 15, and the state requires your parents to have you in a booster seat.

What happens when you turn 16 and you can drive? You have to sit in a booster seat to drive? I mean, there’s plenty of people out there that aren’t even 5 foot to drive.
SPEAKER 06 :
No, no, no, no, no, no. Once you’re 16, it’s not required anymore. Now it’s okay to be short. Until then, it’s illegal to be short, and how dare you. And… You know, California is insane.

Oh, yeah.

Okay. I don’t like California. I wish California. I want Trump to build a wall around California on our side of it. Okay. Just keep them out. And that way they can’t move anywhere, which would be really nice.

They have to apply for a green card or something to move.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. There’s another thing you’re talking about. You’re talking about San Diego, right? Oh, they went liberal now. And I’m like, you’ve got to be kidding. San Diego. They’ve got to look around the state and they see people moving out of the state in droves, going to Texas, going to Florida, going to wherever that is not California. And yet they decide to vote in more of what is absolutely failing. This is the kind of thing I do not understand, Tanner. How can you be in a hotbed of failure on levels that we’ve never seen before in American history and you still want to keep it? I mean, you’re insane. We’re going to be talking in the next hour, you and I, we’re going to be talking about the Somalians and Minnesota. And I just wonder, I mean, are Minnesotans not going to throw out Democrats for this?
SPEAKER 12 :
I mean, they already destroyed the city during COVID. Yeah, they totally did. Their main city, I mean.
SPEAKER 06 :
I mean, but you got to keep in mind, folks, and we’ll talk about it next hour. These aren’t just Somalians. They’re all Democrats. Okay. And so you’ve got a 100% Democrat group robbing all of their fellow Minnesotans of billions of dollars.
SPEAKER 12 :
People that have been there for generations.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. And they’ve and they’ve obviously gotten help from Democrat politicians. And it’s like, folks, one party is robbing you blind and the other isn’t. Are you honestly telling me that the swing voters in Minnesota aren’t going to swing our way?
SPEAKER 12 :
And if it was a reverse, every single person would know every single detail about it. We have names of everyone and everyone involved on both.
SPEAKER 06 :
Exactly.

The higher ups, the lower down everything. And right now you can only really hear learn about one company, a couple of names.

OK, now, before we go to break here, though, I want to, you know, look at a lady who, in my opinion, is proof that Californians will vote for anyone or anything. And that is Karen Bass, the mayor of L.A. And she’s talking about Hispanics that are in the Border Patrol. Now, she’s very upset that there are Hispanics. In the Border Patrol, and by the way, I don’t know if you know this, over half of the Border Patrol is Hispanic. Did you know that?
SPEAKER 12 :

Yeah. Or right about half, yeah. I mean, that’s, you know, and guess why? They’re patriotic. Okay.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, in a lot of those four states where there is a border from Mexico, a lot of Hispanic families move there from Mexico. So it’s a good job to have right there.

It’s a fantastic job. But she thinks, well, let me let her speak for herself, which is always funny. Here we go.

well uh in a way i think it’s it’s sad i think that those border patrol agents are going to have a difficult time when they’re out in the field and they see what actually happens in real life okay whoa stop stop stop this is the lady that let her city burn to the ground right okay and she wants to say that these hispanic border patrol agents

That they don’t know what it’s like out there in the real world. That they’re not dealing with what it’s like out there in the real world. Answer that, would you, Tanner?

You mean the dumps of L.A.? ?

the dumps of la they’re the ones going into the worst parts of the real world right and tracking down people who are here illegally right and they’re serving their country mexico isn’t their country anymore or maybe it even wasn’t in the first place some of these people might have been born here raised oh yeah a lot of them were and you know has it ever occurred to you ma’am that just maybe just maybe just maybe They are patriotic. Right. And they don’t want people to come in the wrong way. Okay, let’s hear a little bit more of her. Here we go.

Separate from their training, but I do understand that their primary incentive is financial. I think it just speaks to the financial situation that millions of Americans find themselves in. And I definitely am concerned about that report.

Okay, she’s concerned about the report that there are too many Hispanics. in the Border Patrol, and obviously they’re just doing it for money. Well, yeah, nobody does a job without getting paid. I mean, obviously. But they could do a lot of jobs for money, Karen. They chose to do this job. And let me tell you something, you’re not going to get in the Border Patrol, especially today when you have got heat coming at you from wacko leftists all over the country, dangerous ones. You’re not going to get into that. just for the money when you could do something else just for the money you’re only going to get into being the border patrol right now tanner if as if you believe in america and you want to protect america and you believe that we are a sovereign nation and you believe it’s ludicrous that we’re the only nation in the world that’s letting people just pour in except for a few real winners in europe who have gotten overrun and are changing their minds now but it’s too late okay I mean, has it occurred to her that, oh, my gosh, God forbid, these people might love America?

Right. Well, and you have to be an American citizen to even be accepted or even thought of to be on the Border Patrol. You have to have lived here at least five years and you have to have a valid driver’s license. So you have to be an American citizen. These are people that want to protect America. And it’s not like it was only Mexicans involved. All these liberals always say, oh, well, just the Mexicans coming over when we let in 20 million. That was from like 10 different countries, and a lot of them were criminals out of insane asylums and terrible people. But that doesn’t mean they were all Mexican.
SPEAKER 06 :
No, of course not. Actually, one of the biggest ones was China, and they were funneling through there. And we have to keep in mind, folks, obviously are most of them coming in to be criminals? Of course not. As I always say, though— The biggest problem when you’re looking for the needle in the haystack is not the needle, it’s the haystack. If you’re just looking at a blank floor and there’s needles on it, guess what? You just pick them up.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, you’ve got to feed them all out, and there’s a lot to feed out.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. The biggest problem looking for the criminals is not the criminals who come in. It’s the massive humanity and the 15 million that Biden let in through the door that make it hard to find the bad ones. who then go out and kill and rape and deal drugs and join gangs and commit terrorist acts. Look, they’re a lot harder to find because of the 15 mil. That’s why you can’t just say, oh, we’re not going to worry about the 15 mil, just get the bad ones. No, that’s leaving the haystack there. That’s saying, we’re not going to worry about the haystack, just get the needles.
SPEAKER 12 :
Right, and it’s a lot of rigorous work to go through everyone’s backgrounds when we don’t have the information just in our files. We have to go through other governments, other… means just to be able to figure out if we should even allow this person in here. Grand, they all committed a crime in the first place.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. Look, have you ever invaded a nation? No. No? If I did. But from what I’m hearing from the left, everybody does that on their weekends. They all invade nations. It’s the most common thing in the world, Tanner, invading a nation. Why? They didn’t do anything wrong.

If I ever stayed my welcome in any other country, they’d kick me out. Or jail you. Yeah, jail me or make me leave in handcuffs. Yeah. And we just allowed $15 million, and we think that’s a good idea?

I mean, this is ridiculous. Let me quote, and then we’ll go to break, a couple of these terrible Hispanic Border Patrol recruits. Here we go. Here’s a 20-year-old one, 20-year-old Border Patrol recruit. His name is Juan Peralta. And he told CNN, boy, this is a brave guy talking to CNN. He told correspondent David Colvert, they didn’t come in the right way. So they aren’t my kind. See, because she had said their kind. They’re turning on their kind. He says, they’re not my kind. They didn’t come in the right way. In other words, don’t judge me by the color of my skin, Karen Bass. Judge me by the content of my character. My character says you go somewhere the right way. You do it legally. You don’t invade someone’s house or their country legally. They’re not my kind. Go ahead.

Well, and some of these Hispanic Border Patrol agents, them and their families came over here legally and went through a whole process to deal with it. That could have taken years. And now that these people got let in for free, they feel like they’ve been taken advantage of and wasted so many years trying to get in.

And now they’re grateful to be here.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. People who want to come here legally, you know what? You know what my answer is. Great. Come here. Make us better. Make us a greater nation. I think it’s wonderful. But you do it the right way. Here’s the next guy. Another agent, Claudio Herrera. Oh, my gosh, he’s Hispanic. He voiced a similar opinion, telling CNN, I’m protecting my community. I’m protecting both sides of the border. And he’s right about that. I mean, the trafficking that happens. Once again, but folks, when we say, oh, just get the human trafficker, just get the drug dealer, just get the gang member, folks, the reason they’re so hard to get is the haystack. Okay, those are needles. Or the people who are going to come in and just welch off the system, right? Or rob us blind like up in Minnesota. Right. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That’s really bad. But you see, what if we didn’t have the haystack? What if we didn’t have the 15 million, okay, that were just poured in? I don’t know if it’s 10, 20, whatever. I’m going to say 15. And what if we didn’t have the 15 million? What if it was just the bad ones? Because when Biden opened up the doors, obviously, amongst the crowd that was coming in, very smart nations all over the world said, what? Are you saying we can just empty our prisons and send them there, and we can save all that money on guarding, feeding, clothing, and, you know, dealing with the housing these prisoners we could save all that money and just send them to you yep why because they’re needles and there’s a haystack going in just toss the needles in the haystack throw them in here goes the haystack imagine a haystack going across the border and you’re there and you got a bunch of needles and you see it’s very expensive to take care of them and keep them in prisons and all you got to do is throw them in that haystack so a lot of nations did I’m telling you what, these Hispanics who are doing this are patriots. They are the greatest Americans on planet earth. They are fantastic. And Karen Bass, you should honor them because they wouldn’t let your city burn like you did. Right. And they’re not letting your country burn like you want it to. You’re a disgrace, lady. You’re a disgrace. I can’t believe that any city actually voted in a moron like you who has no love for America in her heart whatsoever.

She never seems to actually have any plans either. She just talks about all of the things she thinks are wrong. The whole fire thing, she basically was like, well, we had all these things in place, but nothing worked. And everything was overgrown and the brush was out of control. And then you even, I mean, it just kept spreading. You would think you’d have something in place because every other year there’s fires like that in California.

Yeah, nothing worked. Did it occur to you that your reservoirs were empty? No. You see, those things, they hold this thing called water. And I know this is pretty deep. It’s pretty hard for her to understand. Karen, that’s water. You see, water puts out fire. And so you probably want more of it. But no, you couldn’t worry about that because you were putting all your money into DEI. And by the way, they really were. I’m not just saying that. They were bankrupting themselves on DEI products. idiotic dei things that they were doing and it’s like you’re doing all that you’re not taking care of the the force the undergrowth and everything that would cause it to spread you’re not filling up your reservoirs you’re not planning in advance you’re not working together with your fire chief right get ready for these things oh well it was these things just didn’t work didn’t work you didn’t test them didn’t plan you didn’t plan you do realize human beings lives are at stake karen See, once again, I want to thank God that I don’t live in California. Another crime motto, even more twisted. Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time. Damn. I’m intrigued that the motto isn’t, don’t do the crime, because that would be wrong. They have to make it a choice between two selfish options? Oh, that crime? I want to do it! That’s a great crime. I want to do that crime. The problem, though, with that particular crime, it’s 15 years in the federal penitentiary. I don’t have the time. I wish I could, but I have a family and dreams. I don’t have enough time to do that crime. Now this crime, on the other hand, one month in the county jail, I’m doing it! I have enough time. I have enough time to do that crime. I base my crime decisions on how much time I have available in my calendar. That’s what I’ve been taught. That’s us teaching us.

Okay. What do you think? What he’s really speaking to, though, is something that’s brilliant. These days, we are putting almost no actual values into young people. You don’t do crime. Here’s why it’s actually wrong. OK, but instead it is you don’t do crime because of the punishment that can come your way.

So it’s harder to get a job you might want, you know, for your life, not just, you know, a few years after you get out.

Yeah. Let me give you an example here. A different one. The church does. OK. don’t sleep around before marriage. Okay. Yeah. No fornication. Okay. Okay. Got it. But what reasons do they give? The biggest is you could get pregnant or you could get a disease. In other words, the scare tactic is don’t do that because these things might happen to you. It never occurs to them to say, don’t do that because you’re going to make the girl feel cheap. Think about her. Think about someone who is not you for a micro moment and actually say to yourself, hey, I’m putting her in a position where she’s trying to earn value. That’s demeaning to her as a person. Maybe I should hold off and treat her as a valuable woman first. Right. But no, no, we don’t talk about that. We only talk about, hey, don’t do it. Don’t do it because of this and this and this and this might happen to you. Oh, don’t go rob that store because of this and this might happen to you. Don’t do this. Don’t get in a gang because this and this and this might happen to you. It never occurs to anybody to say because it’s wrong.

You’re at school, and you’ve got some people who are doing that. Okay, and they get together, and then they break up three months later. Do you ever see those two around each other again? Nope. Okay, why not?
SPEAKER 12 :
Because they don’t like each other anymore.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right.
SPEAKER 12 :
Or one person doesn’t like the other.
SPEAKER 06 :
Exactly. Because they’ve committed themselves to each other in a very intense way, right?
SPEAKER 12 :
Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
And then when it breaks, it’s awful. Whatever happened to just trying some dating?
SPEAKER 12 :
Exactly.
SPEAKER 06 :
Keep it at light. You know what I’m saying? And just, you know, get to know each other a little bit first and so forth rather than rushing into things once again. I think that people need to take a step back and say, you know what? Maybe I shouldn’t use a person before I really know them. It can really screw up. We shouldn’t use them anyway.
SPEAKER 12 :
Right. It can really screw up your mental or the other person’s mental very quickly, especially if a breakup happens or one person wants one thing, the other doesn’t. And then, I mean, I’ve seen it a million times. Just with my friends, high school, college, whatever it may be. It always turns into an issue. And sometimes it leads people down terrible paths where they’ve kind of lost their mind, depression, anxiety, whatever it may be.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know, another thing, another big fallout of not giving people better reasons to avoid bad, to avoid doing evil, we’re not helping them develop a conscience.
SPEAKER 12 :
Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay. And so people don’t really have much of a conscience. Let me give you an example. Okay. After the break, we’re going to talk about this. We’re going to talk about taxing the rich. And why am I saying that? Because when you say, I want to tax the rich at a much higher percentage so I get more stuff, that’s called theft, right? All right. But most Americans, they don’t even think in those terms. They say, well, they can afford it. Think about that for a moment. They can afford it. Oh, OK. Do you do understand that every criminal who has ever robbed somebody has looked at that somebody and said they have more than I do. I want some of what they have.
SPEAKER 12 :
Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, what if you do it with votes? It’s the same thing. It’s theft. Okay.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, if you take more money from the people that, I mean, some of the people they say tax the rich aren’t even that rich. And they made it all themselves. It was all on their own backs. You didn’t help them.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. They’ve built up a small business, maybe opened another location, and they’re finally getting somewhere in life, and you want to nail them and get their taxes. What I’m talking about is New York City. We just talked about L.A., right, which is burning to the ground. Literally it did. And by the way, they’re not building back. Right. I guess they don’t want to be better. They don’t. So they’re not building back. It’s a total disaster. Look at New York. They just elected Mamdani, and what did they elect him on? One thing. Rob the rich for us. Now, they wouldn’t put it that way. Oh, because you don’t put it that way. We say tax the rich. They’re already paying. And Jersey Joe said this last week. He added up the state and federal and city taxes that the wealthy pay in New York. You know what percentage of every dollar they make they are already paying in taxes? Sixty. 60%? Are you paying 60%?
SPEAKER 12 :
No.
SPEAKER 06 :
No. On nothing. Right. Okay. And so they are paying 60% of their money that they make in taxes already. And the people there look at that and say, we want more.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, I got into an argument with some of my liberal friends about this, and I was just like, well, once that all starts to happen, those people with the money and then those companies with the money are going to start moving out. Oh, totally. It’s going to be cheaper to live somewhere else, and they can get more bang for their buck. And why risk losing more money?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, you’re totally right. The biggest obvious reason that you don’t want to do that is they’re going to leave. They’re going to take their money. They’re going to move to Florida. A ton of them are going to move to Texas. Okay. Wall street has been moving to Texas in droves.
SPEAKER 13 :
Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
All right. And we look at them and we say, you punish them this way. You’re going to punish them right out the door and you’re going to have less money. And that’s, what’s going to happen. But notice even then we’re not appealing to them to actually have a conscience. So what I want to do after the break, I’ve done this for years, okay? I have given conservatives quick points on how to break through with people on a certain issue. And the reason I want to do this, Tanner, is 2026 is coming, and I want everybody who’s listening to me to know this right now. Listen closely. In this year, you will meet a couple or a few swing voters who could go either way. And when it comes to taxing the wealthy… They are going to, when it comes, well, actually, what’s the big word? Affordability. Right. When they look at affordability, you’ve got two sides coming at them with the message. And the Trump side is coming at them and saying, we are going to make things cheaper or not go up so fast. How are we going to do it? By increasing supply. We’re going to increase the supply of housing, increase the supply of oil. Look what that’s done with gasoline prices. We’re going to increase supply, supply, supply. Oh, we’re also going to lower bad demand by 50%. moving out these illegal immigrants who poured in and drove up the cost of housing right we’re going to do all these things the left says we’re going to rob people for you okay we are going to take more from this group we’re going to tell you they’re not paying their fair share it’s a total lie but we’ll tell you and you’ll believe it why because you want to you just want the money now so we’re going to grab theirs and give to you you will have more money and that will give you more affordability Here’s what I’m saying, Tanner. You’ve got two sides that are going right now to these swing voters in 2026. And they’ve got two different messages about the one thing that matters most, affordability. It is the number one issue by far. Folks, if you do not have good, quick ways to break through on taxing the rich, you’re going to lose them.
SPEAKER 1 :

Okay. And because you know a lot of these young voters, right?
SPEAKER 12 :
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 06 :
And they look at that as a totally worthwhile way to do it. They have more. They have more than they need. Remember, those are the big words. They have more than they need. Take from them and then I will have more and I will be able to afford things more. The reason I can’t afford things is because they’ve taken too much.
SPEAKER 12 :
Right. Well, a lot of these rich people are one of a kind. There’s not a bunch of high millionaires and billionaires walking around. I mean, these people have worked their lives or got very lucky and then worked very hard to get this money, and they deserve it. It’s not like, oh, Joe Schmoe, who makes $60,000 and doesn’t really care, now deserves a million dollars just because someone else has it.
SPEAKER 06 :

And the only ones who get the big money for the most part are the cream of the crop. Right. Top of their class. Right. Or position.

Yeah, you’re a young guy and you know people who are younger and older than you. You know that general age range. Well, your age range, a lot of them are actually moving to the right for some good reasons. But there are a lot of them who are worried about affordability and the siren call of the Democrats saying, well, these people have more. We will take from them and give to you in all kinds of programs and benefits and so forth. It’s alluring, isn’t it?
SPEAKER 12 :
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay. Now, I’m going to give you some things that you can say really quick to just kind of break through. Okay. And what each one does, you want to awaken their conscience because they don’t have one. They would, but our culture has pretty well driven it out.
SPEAKER 12 :
Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, here we go. First, hey, if I take, okay, so you think we can just take more of what they have? Okay, let me ask you something. If I take more of what you have, won’t you cling to what you have left?
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, okay. Second question, are the rich pure and perfect, or are they more like us? I mean, is every rich person like Jesus, Gandhi, and Mother Teresa rolled into one, a perfect person, or are they more like you and me?
SPEAKER 12 :
More like you and me other than the Hollywood elites.
SPEAKER 06 :
That’s a good point. Good point. They’re not like anyone. But basically, what they’re going to say is, no, they’re terrible. They’re selfish and evil. Oh, good, good, good.
SPEAKER 12 :
They employ a lot of the country.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, thank you for saying that. So if we take more of what they have, won’t they cling to what they have left? Or are they better than us? Are they Jesus, Gandhi, and Mother Teresa rolled into one? Or are they going to do what we would do and cling to what they would have left?
SPEAKER 12 :
Cling to what they have left and be happy that they have it.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. Okay. So here’s what happens when the rich cling to what they have. They hire less, promote less, risk less, charge more, and eventually take all that they have where less of it is taken. They’re going to move to Florida. They’re going to move to Texas. That’s what they’re going to do. Okay. They’re going to be… us. Okay. And they’re going to respond appropriately. If I take more of what you have, won’t you cling to what you have left? Yes, you will. And when they do it, it hurts us. Right. Okay. So I’m just kind of, it’s just like what we do when we shop. I go to Walmart. I look for the best deals.
SPEAKER 12 :
A hundred percent.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay. Guess what? They’re When moving money from rich to poor through taxation, that entire system is based on the wrong assumptions. That’s why it never works. Okay. That’s why people flee all the places they do that. They wind up running. Here’s why. You’re assuming rich people won’t be embittered when their money is taken by those not earning it. I mean, does that make any sense? You’re assuming they won’t be bitter about it. Right. Okay. Next, you’re assuming poor people won’t become dependent on money they haven’t earned. Why would you assume this?
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, you give someone that doesn’t make a lot of money all of a sudden millions of dollars. Most of the time when that seems to happen, they lose it. I mean, look at the lottery winners.
SPEAKER 06 :
Or even if you just give them a bunch to get by. Right. To give it to you. Now you have free busing. Now you have free this, free that. You see where I’m going with this? You didn’t earn it. Other people earned that money. I took it and gave you things. Right. Okay. Is it reasonable to assume that people will not become dependent on that? No. No. Of course they will. Next. OK, so the rich were assuming they won’t be bitter. That’s wrong. Right. The poor were assuming they won’t become dependent on it. That’s wrong. What about the people in the middle? We assume middle income people will stay just as motivated to produce, knowing further success will result in having more taken. Right. Are the people in the middle going to be just as motivated to move up when you have a system like that?
SPEAKER 12 :
No, why would they?
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. It’s ludicrous. Who builds an economy on wrong assumptions about people at all levels? That’s what you’re doing. Mamdani, you’re building an entire economy in New York based on all the wrong assumptions of people at all levels.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, if I can just do nothing and the government’s going to pay me a ton of money, why would I care? Why would I contribute at all?
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, here we go. Let’s try this one. Hypothetically, if rich people gave all they had to the poor, would we still raise their taxes? Nope. What if these rich people literally gave all their money to poor people? Would you still raise their taxes? Let’s say you’re a swing voter. The answer is obvious, right? Well, no.
SPEAKER 12 :
No.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay. Of course not. So we’re actually raising their taxes to control their charity.
SPEAKER 12 :
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER 06 :
See, the reason we’re raising their taxes is so we can decide where their money goes. They can’t. That’s why we’re doing it.
SPEAKER 12 :
And how is that fair?
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. Okay. So remember, what is more tyrannical than controlling someone’s charity? You’re controlling their charity. The whole reason Mom Donnie is raising taxes on the rich is so he can control their charity. Okay, so let me ask you something. How would you like it if someone controlled your charity? Tanner, what if I came to you and I said, you know, Tanner, hand me your checkbook, okay, or your credit card, whatever. And I’m going to write a check to the church of my choice that believes what I want and does what I want. And I’m going to write the amount that I want you to give. And I’m going to give to that church, okay, out of your money. And I’m going to do that. How would you feel? I’m controlling your charity. How would you feel?
SPEAKER 12 :
I would feel taken advantage of.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, then why do you think it’s okay to do it to others? Well, they’re richer. Oh, okay, let me ask you this. You do realize that virtually everyone in America is incredibly rich compared to 90% of the world. Okay, so what if that other 90% of the world could control our charity? Okay, forget about the billionaires. I’m talking about, you know, the college student who is still living a life of luxury compared to all of them. What if they could control her charity and take all her money and give it where they felt it should go? There is nothing worse than controlling the charity of another individual.
SPEAKER 11 :
Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
There’s nothing more demeaning. Well, I guess there are some things, obviously. But you know what I mean. It is a terribly demeaning thing to control the charity of another person. So go back to my first question. If the rich already gave all they had to the poor, would you raise their taxes? No. No. Oh, so the only reason you raise their taxes is to control the charity of someone else.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, then you give all the money to the poor. Now they might be the rich and now they’re going to get those taxes.
SPEAKER 06 :
Exactly.
SPEAKER 12 :
It’s a cycle that can’t work whatsoever. And if you ask, you know, third world countries to control all of our money, we’d be just as bad as them, if not worse.
SPEAKER 06 :
Exactly. They would control. Are you kidding? They would destroy us. OK, so Tanner, you swing voter, you you’re really not. But let’s say you are. Is controlling charity only OK if I get to choose who is controlled? As long as I’m the god of the situation, as long as I get to because I got 51 percent of the vote and I’m in New York and we’re the liberals. So does that make it OK? Does mob rules? No. When is that? Is that moral?
SPEAKER 12 :
Not at all.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, that’s what they just did. It’s called looting, and they did it with votes. Okay, next. I want you to imagine, and I’m talking to, and I’ve done this one with some young people. I want you to imagine a businesswoman is walking home from work at night. Okay, a businesswoman walking home from work at night. But she has to go down, you know, take a shortcut. She goes through an alley. Suddenly, five knife-wielding men corner her and demand her money. You say, give us your money. She protests. She says, this is mine. I earned it. So they offer to hold a fair and impartial vote. And she loses the vote five to one. Right. All right. Tell me, how is this different than when a large group elects politicians promising to tax a small group at higher rates?
SPEAKER 12 :
It’s not at all.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s not different at all.
SPEAKER 12 :
Same thing, just larger scale.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. What happened in New York is looting. It is looting. They were literally chanting at his rallies, tax the rich, tax the rich. The rich in New York were already paying 60% of their income to taxes overall, and they were paying next to nothing.
SPEAKER 12 :
You already live in the richest city in the U.S.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. Does using government force instead of a physical force like a knife or a gun make it OK?
SPEAKER 12 :
How is that? It might be worse. Yeah. Because the people you put your trust in are taking advantage of you. Right. He’s knife wielding randoms. I mean, it happens, unfortunately. But once your own government taking it from you, that’s a lot worse.
SPEAKER 06 :
OK, so let me go to the last one here. Uh, many will say that the rich have, and here are the big words, more than they need. They always say this more than they need as if they can dictate need. And by the way, they do have more than they need. I got news for you. So do I. And so do you, Tanner. And so does Charlie in the next room. All of us have, we’re Americans. We all have more than we need. Okay. If you actually look at need.
SPEAKER 13 :
Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay. But let’s take, take a step back. Is it a bad thing to have more than they need? Look at the risk involved in creating jobs. I want you to think about this for a moment, and I’ve talked to young people about this too. Think for a moment about the incredible risk it takes to create jobs. Let’s say at a sandwich shop. I use the sandwich shop. First of all, you’ve got to rent the storefront for a year or more, so you’ve got to commit. You’ve got to get the food and prep equipment. You’ve got to purchase. You’ve got to hire staff. Advertising, you’ve got to pay for that. The taxes are burdensome. And let’s say for the first year, man, because you scouted out the perfect place. It’s new territory, lots of new homes in the area. You don’t have a sandwich shop anywhere near there, and you go in. It’s virgin territory, as they say. And for that first year or two, man, you are busting it. You’re making big money. Guess what? What’s going to happen as competitors look at this?
SPEAKER 12 :
They’re going to try to do the same thing.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, before you know it. Let’s say you’ve got a subway. Before you know it, you’ve got three other sandwich shops around you.
SPEAKER 12 :
Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
Why? So this is the risk you take. Even if you do everything right and find the virgin territory with all the new homes, guess what? That’s going to last for a couple years. And now you’re having to lay people off. You’re having to cut back. Why? Because your profits are cut by half. They’re cut by three quarters. They’re cut back. And guess what? They’re not going to cut your rent that much.
SPEAKER 12 :
Right. Well, if anything, your rent might go up if you’re doing so well.
SPEAKER 06 :
Exactly. Your rent might go up. So all of these risks have to be taken. And by the way, that’s assuming everything goes well. Right. If everything goes well, you get to have a couple good years. Then somebody else moves in. Folks, tell me something. Doesn’t somebody have to have way, way, way, way more than they need to take that kind of risk?
SPEAKER 12 :
Mm-hmm. Well, and then if it does well, you open up another location that you’re just starting over, basically, and then what if that location doesn’t do as well?
SPEAKER 06 :
Boom, now you’re getting it. Folks, these people have to have way more than they need to take the risks to drive job creation. That is why every state where they let you keep more of what you have, job creation goes through the roof, and it benefits everyone. Case closed.
SPEAKER 12 :
What do you think? I think you’re right. And it’s even harder to do when the company’s expanded so much where you’re building factories or whatever it may be. Or you have these big buildings and you have to employ all those people, all the supplies.
SPEAKER 06 :
Bigger the company, bigger the risk.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 06 :

And in that time, if you talk down to them, if we talk down to them and we say, You know, what, are you lazy? Get a job. Pay for your own. Pay for your own college. Pay for your own. And all this kind of stuff, which, by the way, is all true.

But if we lead with that, they’re ears shut. So, Tanner, I want to ask you, the young people you know, if I lead instead with, hey, if I take more of what you have, won’t you cling to what you have left? And they say, well, yeah. I say, well, I just think the rich will do the same. Aren’t they like us? And what happens when they do that? Or if I say, you know… If the rich gave all they had to the poor, would you still raise their taxes? Well, no. No. Then why are you? You’re doing it to control their charity.
SPEAKER 12 :
Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
OK, think about that. Or finally, the businesswoman, if she’s cornered and they take a five to one vote with the guys with the knives and take her money. Is that any different from what just happened in New York?
SPEAKER 12 :
No, not at all. And I think most of the liberal people I know my age, if you phrase it like that, instead of like you said, just kind of going at them, like you got to get a better job or whatever, or you got to pay for your own college. Yeah. But I think some of them would be stubborn and kind of just like hold to their democratic views because they’re just lost in the sauce. But I think most of them would be like, well, you have a good point. And I think maybe most of them would kind of see it that way instead of,
SPEAKER 06 :
Ah, but here’s the thing. If they’re stubborn, challenge them and say, no problem, let me hear yours. And don’t just tear it apart right away. I know it’s easy for us to do. I could, you could. Don’t just do that. Hear them out. Hear them out. Because here’s the beauty of it, folks. No one has ever controlled someone by listening to them. Just by the act of listening, you’re opening their mind. Okay? Even by not saying a word. Right. Right. Here’s what I want to close with. Tanner, so many people believe, they look at young people, especially here in Colorado, and they think their minds are all closed. And I got news for you. No, our message sucks. Go to them with a message that provokes thought. Go to them with a message that awakens the conscience that, guess what, is in each and every one of them because we’re all in the image of God.
