HR2 Erik Weir: How Anyone Can Build Wealth, Sunny Kutcher – YAAS 8-7-25 by John Rush
SPEAKER 05 :
This is Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 14 :
You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
SPEAKER 05 :
With your host, John Rush.
SPEAKER 14 :
My advice to you is to do what your parents did.
SPEAKER 12 :
Get a job, sir. You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same, and there’s a big difference.
SPEAKER 09 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know, you can’t explain. But you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life. That there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 14 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
SPEAKER 16 :
It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush, presented by Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning.
SPEAKER 11 :
And it’s our two Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Eric Ware joining us now. He is back, I should say. You were with me not that long ago, Eric. Had a great time with you. Wanted to bring you back on, so thanks for taking time for us.
SPEAKER 07 :
My pleasure. I’m glad to be here.
SPEAKER 11 :
Author of Who’s Eating Your Pie? Essential Financial Advice That Will Transform Your Life. And, oh man, this is a topic, Eric, again, we could talk about literally every single, probably not just week, but day. There’s just so much stuff to cover. And it’s, you know me, my goal is to try to help people do better when it comes to this end of things in their life. Not that money fixes everything, but let’s let’s say it this way it’s always easier to deal with problems when you have a little extra cash on hand that that is true that’s true i mean and again i’m not trying to downplay folks that wouldn’t have any but it’s just you know my grandmother used to always say um and and i’ve i’ve used this uh it’s always been in the back of my mind and you know what she used to always say was you know what if the only problems you have are financial problems you really don’t have that much of a problem because you can always fix those
SPEAKER 07 :
That’s some good advice from Grandma there. And she’s right, because you can. She’s right.
SPEAKER 11 :
And you and I talked about this last time you were on. In a lot of cases, the way to fix things, and some people say, oh, that’s not true. If you have financial problems, they’re not fixable. Those are awful problems. Well, what I’ve learned through the years, Eric, is the biggest way you fix them is you get to work and work harder, and you figure out how to fix them. Am I right or wrong?
SPEAKER 07 :
You are so right. If you set goals and you take action, the first time you take a step toward action, your stress goes down like 80%. So most fear is fear of the unknown, and most of your fear is caused by lack of action.
SPEAKER 11 :
All right, so how do we, because believe me, I think this is a message that literally every single American, they ought to all buy your book, by the way. I don’t care how many other books they’ve read, they ought to get your book, because the reality is it’s very simple. There’s not any rocket science to this. I’m not trying to downplay a lot of the great financial wizards and gurus that are out there, but the reality, Eric, is it’s not that complicated. And I think a lot of times some of these other financial wizards try to complicate it more than it needs me you know you got to buy real estate you got to do this you got to do that you got to invest in this you got to have gold you got to have silver i mean there’s all these dues but the reality is the one thing that i think a lot of them forget is yeah all that’s great but you still got to work at it it’s so simple it’s three simple things you make a plan
SPEAKER 07 :
You take action, and you evaluate your plan, and you just keep going through a circle. I’ve found that I can do three things. I make a goal, I evaluate it, and I take steps. And then I evaluate it again, and I take more steps. And that’s just how you do it. It’s very straightforward. My book’s straightforward. It doesn’t need to be hard. Creating wealth is a simple process. It’s just planning, it’s execution. And the biggest step that people say, I have too busy to plan, I don’t have time to plan. So that’s a decision. And then they have hope. And hope is not a strategy. Strategy is a strategy. But strategy can be very simple, and that’s too often overlooked.
SPEAKER 11 :
Somebody just texted me and asked me, do I or my wife ever sit down and reevaluate expenses? We’re to cut back on one thing, maybe reallocate to some other things. What about selling or getting rid of material goods? Some things that might just be taking up real estate that you’re not using anymore. We aren’t broke or anything, but some subscriptions are just dumb and things have to go. And I will say that I think for me, Eric, that’s something that I think I am constantly… looking and I don’t know that I necessarily sit down and have you know powwow with my wife I mean sometimes we might do that but in general I’m always looking at yet two things a how do I create more revenue but also be is their revenue going out the door you expense wise that we legitimately could cut back on because it doesn’t need to be. I’m not a penny pincher by any means, but if it’s something that – I’ll give you an example of Dish Network, which I haven’t had now any kind of satellite services in our home for about three years now because when I started looking at not necessarily – the bill, but just what was I getting for that bill? In other words, it wasn’t that I couldn’t afford the $140, $150 it was at that time. It’s more of the principle of, am I getting enough value out of that to spend that money? And for me and my wife both, it was, we don’t watch enough of it to merit it, so we cut the cord on virtually everything. I have a couple of subscriptions, I think. Netflix and Prime, Prime because of the free shipping, and I have a business that that works very well for as well. But at the end of the day, Eric, yes, those were things that I cut out because I couldn’t justify them anymore.
SPEAKER 07 :
One hundred percent. And a dollar saved is more like a dollar fifty earned.
SPEAKER 11 :
You got to look at it that way.
SPEAKER 07 :
True. And then when you save it, we say, I’m going to cut this expense, you know, pay off your credit card debt, put that a monthly amount towards your credit card debt. And if you get a raise, if you’re an employee and you get a raise, I call it save the raise or save half the raise. If you start doing that in a habit, you will become wealthy. You just have to be because I’ve never found a person that can’t have their lifestyle grow into their income. It’s across the board. So you have to set limits for yourself. Say, hey, I’ve got a $500 a month raise. Great. Save $250. and enjoy 250, or whatever the after-tax rate is. And then I find, for me, I’ll get HBO like twice a year because I want to watch a boxing match or something, and I forget to cancel. It’s like free for a month. And then I’m like, oh my gosh, I’m paying $18 a month, and I’ll cancel again. And I just go on my phone, on Apple Settings, attend subscriptions. I’m almost always surprised there’s something there that I’d forgotten about.
SPEAKER 11 :
Great point. That’s a great reminder that for all of us, myself included, look at that subscription end of things on a monthly basis and decide what you need and don’t need, what can go. And again, Eric, it’s not to be, you know, I’m not trying to say that I’m cheap by any means, but if there’s no value there, then I don’t want to be putting my hard-earned dollars into that. I would rather put that into something else that I’m going to get much more either investment return on or just value in general. I mean, I’d rather instead of, you know, for me, truthfully, Eric, instead of spending that $150 a month on Dish Network, I’d rather have a nice dinner out with my wife. I get more value out of that than I did Dish Network.
SPEAKER 07 :
100%. 100%. And it’s so important to set boundaries. I have friends that can afford anything, and they’ll set goals. Say, I need to lose 10 pounds, and then I’ll do this. I’ll take a trip. But they can afford to take the trip. But it becomes more fun and more fulfilling for them if there is a process that they go through to get there.
SPEAKER 11 :
What do you think holds most Americans? Because let’s face it, you know, you look at the average income of America. The stats are out there. It’s not hard to figure out where you if you make X amount of money, where you fall into the percentages of IRS has data on that is very easy to find. So, you know, the average American, by the way, I think right now is. I want to say average income is like $46,000 and some change, something around those. Don’t quote me on that, but I think I’m fairly close there.
SPEAKER 07 :
That sounds about right.
SPEAKER 11 :
What do you think keeps the average person that’s in that range from increasing that? What holds them back?
SPEAKER 07 :
You’re trapped in a box. And what I try to do is tell people, where would you like to be? And then say, well, I’d like to be at $55,000 a year. Just save our $60,000. Okay. Well, you’re not getting a $14,000 raise. Would you agree? Yeah, okay. Do you think you can make $1,000 if you detailed cars on Tuesdays and Saturdays a month? Right, right. I probably could do that. Or do you think you could rake leaves? Or do you think you could sell some of your stuff you’re not using on eBay or Craigslist? Do you think you could do something, right? So there’s always something you can do. And once you start doing that, you realize, oh, my gosh, it’s just not that hard. And it can be fun. And what they find is, particularly if you’re married, if you attack it as a couple, money doesn’t become what you’re fighting about. It becomes what you’re teamed up and aligned to solve a problem in your relationship. It’s better, not worse. And you’re not like, oh, my gosh. Hey, let’s go detail a car. We’ll make $150, and then we’ll drop $50 at a Mexican restaurant and pocket $100. I mean, you had a great day doing it, right? Right. There’s always an option.
SPEAKER 11 :
By the way, thank you for saying that, because I think that’s really true, and I think what a lot of people miss out on. And again, I’m not trying to, you know, try to categorize anybody or throw anybody under the bus, but I did this the other day, and I do this a lot for people, where you look at the amount of hours in a week, and I get it. We have this, you know, generations plural now, where they think a 40-hour week is even too much, and why would anybody work that much? I watched a video the other day where a mother was making fun of her daughter, and I thought… you’re part of the problem. So I don’t think I’d be making fun of her, but the daughter is upset that she has to work five days in a row, five straight days in a row to equal that 40 hours a week. And her comment was, how can anybody do this? This is utter misery. There’s no reason why anybody should have to work a 40 hour, five day in a row a week. And I’m thinking, mom, you didn’t train her very well in the first place. You’re making fun of her, but the reality is you shouldn’t be because you’re the problem. My point of this is, Eric, there’s a lot more than 40 hours in a week to work. That’s my point.
SPEAKER 07 :
The average person spends 21 hours a week on social media, 21 hours a week. And to give an example, I have a friend that is not a pilot, but he lives near a small private airport, and he’s tied on cash. He goes, you know, I’ve got waxed. Got a hose. So he ran an ad, I’ll watch your small plane for $750. He thought that was a crazy amount of money. We’re talking a small plane, not a big jet. He’s so busy. He picked up three the first week, and he made over a couple grand and was surprised over the weekends. Oh, my gosh, I made this. And it’s just thinking outside the box, having a plan.
SPEAKER 11 :
and and not viewing work as labor or a pain but something that you can enjoy and you can have fun with it yeah by the way your mindset what you just said a moment ago i think is really key rather than having it be some sort of a you know trudgery that i’m having to go do this and i have to go do that and you know the old saying and you know i oh i oh i oh so off to work i go stop looking at it that way and look at what you’re doing as something you can enjoy and if your mainstay of employment is something you really don’t enjoy, but it’s paying the bills right now, then my advice, Eric, is go find something else that does give you joy. Keep that main thing the main thing for right now so you can pay all of your bills. But if you start doing one of these other things that you really can put your heart and soul into, like cleaning planes like your friend’s doing, you know what? Before long, he would need his other job.
SPEAKER 07 :
It’s so true. And what he found out is he could pay somebody $25 an hour to go clean planes. They’re thrilled. They don’t have to make any ads. He can do a plane in four hours. So he’s making $650 profit on paying somebody $100 to go clean a plane.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yep. And that is one small example, Eric, of things that folks can do. And I think to your point, the biggest thing is just, A, think outside the box, start looking at your life in a different way. And in some cases, Eric, you know, step back and say, okay, I think you said it well earlier. I’m at this level now and I want to be at this next level. And OK, great. How do you get there? What are the things you’re going to do to achieve that? And then, as you say, once you start doing that, it just snowballs because it really does. It snowballs. I’m not trying to exaggerate when I say that it really does.
SPEAKER 07 :
And it bleeds into other parts of your life. How could I have more connection with my wife? How could I be closer to my children? How could I be a better employer? How could I be a better employee? And you just begin to reframe every situation. So it’s just a skill that with years of practice, you’ll find all areas of your life will improve.
SPEAKER 11 :
All right, one last thing, and then I’ll let you go. Why does it seem to be, especially in the world of Christendom, why does building wealth seem like it’s such a bad thing or that it’s immoral somehow or another?
SPEAKER 07 :
I think there’s a belief that money is evil, or if you make money, you’ve compromised or done evil things. But if you look at any ministry, it runs on capital. If you want to give back and help people, it runs on capital. And if you want to say, just what I try to do is have something that I can associate giving away. So let’s say if you want to help a single mom, buy four pair of tires, and that’s $600. Then you say, hey, I want to set a goal to do that for somebody. And if that’s a goal for you, and you make an extra $3,000 or $4,000, you give $600, then suddenly making that $3,000 or $4,000, it reframes it for you. And you see how it can bless people. You can help family members. You can have more free time to give back. So the Bible never says money is evil. You know, if you worship money as your God, then that’s a bad idea, right? That’s right. It’s a great tool.
SPEAKER 11 :
That’s right. Eric, I should always ask, how do people buy the book?
SPEAKER 07 :
Sure. I’d love that. Go to Amazon.com. Put in my name, Eric Weir, E-R-I-K-W-E-I-R, or my book’s title, Who’s Eating Your Pie? Or you can find me on Instagram at Eric Weir, E-R-I-K-W-E-I-R.
SPEAKER 11 :
I always appreciate it, Eric. Again, we’ve enjoyed our conversations. Look to more of them in the future, and thanks again, and hope you have a great rest of your day.
SPEAKER 07 :
It’s my pleasure. And thank you.
SPEAKER 11 :
You’re very welcome, Eric. Appreciate it. And again, great guy. I’ve been learning to enjoy his company more and more. This is the second time we’ve had him on. And just I think because we think so much alike, I just enjoy his presence on our show. And go buy his book, if you would, please. Gold Eagle Financial. Speaking of finances and all of that, talk to Al today. He did a great interview. Listen in. We’ll be back right after that. Find Al at klzradio.com.
SPEAKER 06 :
TJ with KLZ. And again, I am with Al Smith from Golden Eagle Financial. Al, we talk a lot about how relational you are with your clients. Why don’t you take us through what an initial visit might look like, whether that’s in the office or over a Zoom call or whatever that is. What does that look and feel like for one of your clients?
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, first we kind of get to know one another a little bit, have a little bit of small talk. And once we move slightly beyond that, I often ask a question, what is your and your spouse’s greatest concerns as you move into toward retirement?
SPEAKER 06 :
What do you think people’s main fear is when they come to see you and how do you help to quell that with them?
SPEAKER 15 :
Many of the people who come in have been listening to me on the radio for years. And often there is some event that the reason they want to talk to me. Maybe they have concerns about taxes. It may be they’re concerned about the volatility of the stock market. And so by asking them about their concerns, we can zero in specifically. Because usually people have something on the back of their minds as the reason that they came in rather than having a cookie cutter form that I complete for everybody. I try and dive in more specifically to what is an individual or a couple’s primary concern that brought them in the office.
SPEAKER 06 :
We love that relational aspect and we love Al Smith from Golden Eagle Financial. Al, why don’t you tell folks how to get in touch with you for that meeting?
SPEAKER 15 :
Easy way, 303-744-1128. If you’re driving, you can reach me through KLZ. KLZ has all my contact information. And once you reach out to them, they will reach out to me and I will contact you by phone or email so that we can have that conversation, whether it’s on a Zoom or a long phone conversation or here at the office.
SPEAKER 06 :
Excellent, Al. Thanks for joining us. Of course, you can find Al on klzradio.com slash money. Al, thank you so much.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, thank you, TJ. Look forward to our next conversation.
SPEAKER 03 :
Putting reason into your afternoon drive. This is John Rush.
SPEAKER 11 :
All right, we are back. Again, Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Again, Eric Ware was our last guest. Who’s eating your pie? Essential financial advice that will transform your life. And he speaks very, how should I say this, just very common language, I guess would be the best way to say that, whereby you can understand what to do and so on. All right, Sunny Kutcher is going to join us here in just a few minutes. We switched her from yesterday to today because of Dr. Scott filling in for me, and she still wanted to come on air and talk about some of the things they have going on at Young Americans Against Socialism. But here is a—Richard sent me this earlier, a post on X. Spain’s Ministry of Defense— has announced that it is no longer considering choosing Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II to replace its aging fleet of fighter aircraft due to the tensions between Madrid and Washington on several issues relating to defense and foreign policy. Specifically, Spain’s direct refusal to increase its defense spending to 5% of its GDP by 2035, which was decided and approved by the rest of NATO. Spanish defense officials have stated that they will instead replace their fleet with additional Eurofighter Typhoons and what will eventually, by the Future Combat Air Systems, FCAS, a six-generation fighter program being jointly developed by France, Germany and Spain, which has faced significant shortfalls with an expected entry into service around 2040. So sometimes foreigners aren’t very smart. In fact, I’ll go as far as to say that most of the time they’re not very smart. Now, that doesn’t mean to say that we Americans are always smarter than everybody else. There are some really smart folk out there. But it’s what I say all the time, and I have different guests that come on. Richard Battle and I talk about this quite often. And that is just a simple fact that in the free market, in freedom, development happens. In other countries whereby you’re not rewarded in the same way, it doesn’t. And in my opinion, that even breeds into the whole mentality that some of these countries might have, i.e. the case here where Spain doesn’t want to spend 5% of their GDP back to NATO. And so now they’re going to, quote-unquote, save money instead of buying the F-35, which is, by the way, probably, I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say this, the most advanced fighter out there, period. I don’t think anything else even comes close to competing with it. From what I’ve read, you guys want to correct me on this, feel free to do so, but from what I have read, nothing else even comes close. It is just far superior all the way around. I don’t know much about this Eurofighter that’s being developed. Sounds like it’s plagued with problems and isn’t even going to be around for another four to five years. So Spain, and by the way, this is how this works. Because they’re a part of NATO, they also know that if something really, you know, push came to shove, guess who’s going to bail them out? Us. Good old Americans. So at the end of the day, do they really care whether or not they spend this extra money? Frankly, there’s no incentive for them to do so because for generations now, we have bailed all these other countries out, which honestly, we should stop doing. In this particular case, Spain saying we’re not going to spend the 5% and we’re going to buy some other technology instead of what you guys in America are selling. You know what I would do if something happened to Spain and they had some real issues? Pound sand, guys. You’re on your own. Have fun. Let’s see how this works out for you. Now, that won’t happen because, frankly, nobody’s going to do anything along those lines right now while Trump is in office, depending upon who replaces him. If that’s a J.D. Vance, they might still not do anything. But wait until the Democrats back in power. And something then happens. Of course, we’ll be right to their rescue because no one will have the guts to say, no, you’re on your own. You decided to turn down a deal to replace your aging fleet whereby you could protect yourself even better and you won’t spend the 5 percent on NATO. So guess what? You’re on your own. A Democrat president’s not going to do that, by the way. Trump and or one of his successors, J.D. Vance, for example, probably would say that. Guys, you passed up a great opportunity. Sorry, you’re on your own now. That’s what I would tell them. In fact, I would send a strong message to Spain right now. If I were President Trump, I would be on the horn saying, you know what? I saw a little – an ex-post about how you guys aren’t going to buy any of our F-35s. In fact, you’re going to wait for this Euro whatever it is to come out that’s way behind and might not even make it by 2040. And, oh, you’re not agreeing to spend the 5% we all agreed upon that all the other NATO countries agreed to do. You’re not doing. So guess what? Just so you’re aware – If you have any issues, some foreign adversary decides they’re going to come over there and, you know, have a little target practice with your country. Well, guess what? You’re on your own. We are not going to defend you. We are not going to send one single person aircraft, one bullet. We are not sending anything to Spain until you agree to do the things you’ve agreed to do. And that also includes buying F-35 Lightnings. So at the end of the day, Spain, you can make that decision all day long. You’re free to do so. Just remember, decisions have consequences. If I were president, and I’m not, that’s what I would be saying, though. You guys probably ought to reconsider your thoughts here, because this is probably not going to end in the way you think it’s going to, and you’re not going to save any money when it’s all said and done. Because if something were to happen, and you have to defend yourself, you’re liable to lose it all. So, and by the way, I would make that one loud and clear, and I might even post it on True Social or on X afterwards so the whole world knows what I just told Spain. Because, by the way, in doing so, you’ve just told some of their adversaries that, guess what, they’re free game now. The U.S. is not going to come to their defense. Spain is stupid, just as a side note. Really stupid for doing this. But, you know, what is that old saying? You can’t fix stupid? So we’ll see how this turns out. But this is a really bad move, I think, on the part of Spain. And we’ll see how it all pans out when it’s all said and done. Mile High Coin coming up next. And again, I keep talking about how if you’ve got a treasure trove of… Good. You could have inherited some of these things. You may have bought them along the way. And Michael Bailey, he is our mobile estate planner. He will come to you, help you with all of your estate needs. And in some cases, you need things even while you’re alive. Living wills, power of attorneys in case there’s some decisions that need made while you’re still alive but incapacitated. Things that most people don’t think about that you need to have in order. Talk to Michael today. 720-394-6887.
SPEAKER 04 :
Michael Bailey, the mobile estate planner, has the key to wisely protecting your college-aged kids. Think about it. If your kiddo goes off to college and gets hurt, the hospital won’t let you make decisions for them because at age 18 and above, they are technically an adult. What if they’re unconscious? Will a doctor let you make healthcare decisions for an adult and stay informed about their medical condition? No. Before they’re 18, it’s a given. You can make those decisions. But after 18, there is typically no spouse or someone already approved to legally make those crucial decisions. Michael Bailey can help make short work of a general medical or financial power of attorney for your college goer in one easy appointment. He’s got the experience and knowledge to ensure that whatever happens, you can still be a dedicated parent to your kids. Find him on the klzradio.com advertisers page and protect your kids by getting your power of attorney appointment set up today.

Live and local, back to Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 11 :
All right, we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. I will get to the question of the day here at some point, never fear, but we’ve got Sonny Kutcher joining us now, so I’ll do that after we’re done. Sonny, welcome. How are you today?
SPEAKER 13 :
I’m doing well. How are you?
SPEAKER 11 :
I’m good. On a fine Thursday. Normally we talk on Wednesdays, but we shifted things around a little bit, so thanks for joining us today. And what is new at Young Americans Against Socialism?
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, you know, there’s never a shortage of crazy socialist tactics and rhetoric taking place in the political sphere. Yesterday I posted a wild statement video of the Democratic Socialists of America, a panel that was done at the Socialism 2025 conference, which I believe takes place in Chicago every year. They were very open and honest about their affiliation and direct collaboration with Zoran Mamdani. Now, of course, you know, for Young Americans Against Socialism, we’re 501c3. We are focused on specifically education and information. So, you know, I want to make it clear that we just want the policies of different candidates to be known so that people can make their own decision and rightfully use their responsibility and their duty as civilians and American citizens to vote the way that they want. But I think it’s really important to share what their message is.
SPEAKER 11 :
His message is 100 percent total, not even socialism, but it is a Marxist agenda. I sent you a clip last night. I don’t know that I’ve got time to play it today, but I sent a clip that John Stossel just did of late in regards to I’m sure you saw that in regards to. this particular candidate running for mayor of New York. And he wants, for example, and I know a lot of you listening know this, but he wants, for example, Sonny, basically city-run grocery stores. He feels like if we can take out the quote-unquote profit, which I don’t know that he does know this. I was going to say maybe he doesn’t know this, but he does know this. And for those that don’t know this, the actual net profit – of most grocery store chains sonny is somewhere around two to three percent is all so think about this he’s gonna run city wide grocery stores and he might at best be able to lower the overall cost by about two percent and i would argue that the only reason why the other ones are able to even do what they do is because they’re able to buy in such volume that he will not even be able to come close to buying at the same buying power that, say, a Kroger has, that I would venture to guess he will have no money savings at all at the end of the day. Zero. Might even be higher priced.
SPEAKER 13 :
Absolutely. And as we learn from survivors of communist countries, in fact, I’m going to be publishing either, probably early next week, a story of Daniela Ionescu, who is The wife of Andy UNESCO, who is the survivor that we interviewed on the Freedom Records, you can go to thefreedomrecords.com or on our YouTube page, you can see these interviews. And she shared her story of growing up under communism in Romania. And she discusses, and there are photos that are going to be in this article. It’s going to be a very powerful, powerful article. And she shows photos from her own archive of the grocery stores just being empty. The shelves being empty, lines outside to buy cooking oil to cook your food. And so this is not a joke. And when he talks about, you know, taking over the grocery stores and having them be city run, well, it’s one thing to say that on paper and to say that, you know, to a crowd of people. But it’s another thing when you have The DSA, as I mentioned in this video that I posted yesterday, talking about he goes, quote, we are we’re in the best possible position to seize state power. So this is not just about, you know, making groceries affordable and accessible to all, quote, unquote. This is about seizing state power. they might frame it to their constituents, let’s say, or to the people saying, oh, this is going to be easier for you. This is what they’re trying to show the perspective is from the consumer. But from their perspective, this is all about seizing state power. And they’re very open and honest about it. And also, I would really like to highlight the next part that they talk about in this video, which is the first time I’m hearing about this, is that their plan is to A, not only have Muslims be a very integral part of, obviously, his campaign, but also his term if he were to be elected. So that’s one aspect of it. And then the other aspect, which is quite ironic, is to have New York City become a hub for trans people from all over the United States to be flown in, put up in hotels and given, quote unquote, free trans care services. which is, of course, on the taxpayer’s dime, which, I mean, this is the socialist machine gearing up. And it’s our duty. It’s our responsibility to protect our American values.
SPEAKER 11 :
There’s no such thing as free, number one. If your government has no money, all the money comes from us as taxpayers. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a city, local county, state, federal. The reality is they have no money. And I think you’re right in what you said a moment ago, Sonny, is at the end of the day, their goal is to just have a complete takeover when it’s all said and done. They want to start with New York City, knowing it’s a big, big hub and a major player statewide. He knows if he can get control there, yes, that could run into the rest of the state itself. Although, Sonny, I’m going to tell you that I could be wrong, although I don’t think I am. His goal and what he’s trying to do will do nothing but tear New York down. It’s not going to do anything to build it up. It’ll be another. This thing, and I predict that he wins, it’s going to be utter disaster.
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, it’s going to be what happened in Chicago and San Francisco and Oakland and all of these places that are now cesspools, literally. And what happens is criminals are emboldened.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yep.
SPEAKER 13 :
impoverished people are unfortunately uh you know almost celebrated elevated like elevated yes elevated yes there’s no incentive to really you know pick yourself up from your bootstraps and make something of yourself what happened to this mindset of the american dream uh you know and and i i urge people to really consider consider that because the american dream is a mindset, it’s a value, it’s an incentive to want more and better for your life. And I believe that the reason many people are being coerced and manipulated into buying the socialist propaganda that Mamdani is selling is because we have gotten to this place in our world where it does feel very bleak. It does feel very lost and purposeless. especially for young people. And we are struggling for young people. Young people are struggling to buy a house. You know, people in my generation, that’s what we’re talking about now. The mortgage and interest rates and all of these things that used to be staples and signatures and hallmarks, milestones of the American dream are now being pushed to the wayside. And so for consumerism and for, you know, this influencer idealism, And I urge people to instill in their children and to talk with their friends and to really bring our society back to an incentive of wanting better for yourself. So we don’t need the government to come in and tell us and tell us what’s best for us.
SPEAKER 11 :
No, you are spot on. And again, I hope my prediction is wrong, although he is selling literally a free bill of goods. I don’t know how else to say it, Sonny. He’s literally promising the moon. And unfortunately, when politicians do that, they’re liable to end up. With the votes, he won’t be able to deliver on a lot of those promises, by the way, but it won’t matter. At that point in time, it’s sort of like what’s happened in other countries, i.e. Gaza, when one particular ruling power promises all sorts of things and then can’t deliver its utter disaster afterwards, and that’s exactly what’s going to happen in this case, I’m sorry to say.
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, absolutely, and I believe that their goal is not to be able to give what they say they can offer to people. Their goal is to keep people down so that they’re easier to control.
SPEAKER 11 :
You’re right. No, that is the ultimate—well, you know, you of all people know that’s the ultimate goal of Marxism, is to control the people, control the masses. There’s various ways that is done. Controlling the means of production is just one of those ways. It’s a takeover of the education system, which they’ve already accomplished. I could go down the list, Sonny, and run through the things that they actually have to have happen, but the reality is they’ve done a really good job of making that happen. They’ve brainwashed the public into thinking that— we deserve this, we deserve that. To your point earlier, the American dream of achieving X, Y, and Z is no longer there for a lot of people. They’d rather say, okay, the American dream is what can Uncle Sam do for me, not what can I do for myself. And unfortunately, they’ve sold that very well.
SPEAKER 13 :
Absolutely. And it’s sad. It’s just so sad to see. I’m from New York. I lived years in New York City. My college year is there. And It just is, I hope that people can wake up from this stupor. I would be devastated to see the consequences and outcomes if the election were to go that way. And I also believe that it’s emboldening this radical Islamism. We have to be very blunt and open and honest about what that really means, because they are a voting bloc. Another point that this member of the GSA said in the video that we posted on the Yas page, Yas underscore America, is saying that now Muslims are a voting bloc, and Unfortunately, they are also very open and honest about wanting to have a radical Islamic takeover of America.
SPEAKER 11 :
That’s right. That’s right. No, spot on. Okay, you just mentioned the website. Mention it one more time where folks can find you.
SPEAKER 13 :
The website is yas.org, Y-A-A-S.org. Our Instagram is yas underscore America. And our Twitter is the same. So we post videos and content all day just sharing information. what socialism is all about, you know, people who are, so people can understand these lies, the rhetoric, the tactics that they use to convince people that this is the solution. And, you know, our target is definitely young people because a lot of people don’t know what socialism is. And so I’m grateful to have this opportunity so people can understand more specifically. And so when they go to talk about it with their kids, with their friends that they have examples to really use and share. And I urge people to share and post our content everywhere so that more people can see this and wake up because it is definitely a problem and we need our kids to reject socialism and embrace American values.
SPEAKER 11 :
As always, Sunny, I appreciate it. Thanks for switching things up this week. I appreciate that greatly. We will be back and talk again next Wednesday.
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, thanks for fitting me in as well, and I look forward to it.
SPEAKER 11 :
Awesome. Have a great rest of your day. Sonny Kutcher again, Young Americans Against Socialism. It is hot out right now, 95 degrees. If you find your air conditioning is struggling, by the way, I just got an email notice from Xcel Energy saying that the grid is stressed. right now and they’re asking people to raise their temperatures up some to help relieve some of the stress that’s on the grid they’re asking people to go to 78 degrees no matter what you have your your actual settings at right now a lot of you that are xcel energy customers probably getting the same message What that means, by the way, is please make sure that you’re dialed in when it comes to your equipment, that meaning your air conditioning unit itself. And there are ways, by the way, to take some of the older units that aren’t as efficient as the new ones, not only save energy, but it just uses less power and cools better at the same time. Time is running out to install solar and backup power. Your system must be fully installed and running before December 31st to receive all available tax credits and rebates. If you’re with Xcel Energy, backup power is nearly 100% reimbursed. Otherwise, it’s about 66%. After solar, you can get an EV and stop paying for gas and oil changes while reducing noise pollution. You must start your project before September 15th to finish in time. Send your power bill to Allen Davis for an exact quote by calling 303-378-7537.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now back to Rush to Reason on KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 11 :
So today must be like 7,000 day. What I mean by that is Dr. Kelly started this off at 3 o’clock talking about the 7,000 steps. I then talked about how China had 7,000 cases of this particular new virus. And now Denver International Airport is issuing or has issued, I should say, 7,000 citations for expired license plates so far this year. So this is kind of more probably a PSA. If you have expired tags, it doesn’t matter whether they’re temp tags or just regular tags. This includes folks even that are out of town. They’re writing tickets for expired tags. The high number of citations exceeds beyond the airport boundaries into Denver proper, where the number of citations is even more widespread. Citywide, more than 38,000 tickets have been issued this year to park cars with expired tags, bringing the combined total between airport and city enforcement to about 45,000 citations. So if you run around thinking that you see expired tags, you’re not imagining that. the numbers show that there is that many out there, and they’re now starting to write citations for them. I just shake my head. I know I’ve talked about this on Drive Radio, but it shakes my head when I see a temp tag that is well over a year expired. I saw one the other day, because we’re way past even the COVID grace period and all of that. Those days are gone. Unfortunately, because we didn’t run things correctly during COVID, Government gave everybody a pass for X amount of time, and people still think today they’ve got that same grace period, and they don’t. But they think they do. I saw a temp tag the other day. It was two years old. And I thought we were long, you know, way beyond anybody running that long. During COVID, we used to make a joke of it on drive radio. I even did a few questions of the day where it was, you know, give me the longest expired tag that you have seen. And we actually made fun of that for a while. Because even during that time, I never could figure out why is it so hard to get your car registered. I, with a fleet, buy, trade, sell cars continually. For us, it’s a almost, not monthly, but several times a year we do that because of the fleet and things that we have. And the reality is not once did I ever have a vehicle running around with expired tags. Now, the only time we as a fleet have one that runs around expired is something slipped through the cracks. We didn’t get notice or somebody wasn’t paying attention or somebody wasn’t doing their job or whatever the case. But by and large, we just we don’t have that because we keep things updated. And all of you listening do exactly the same thing. Not that hard. So I’m always curious when you see somebody with a new car or a new used car and they’re running around with an expired temp tag, it’s almost like, did you not plan ahead and know that you have to pay additional money on top of the car you bought to now have it registered? And here’s my pet peeve with this. and not trying to sound egotistical in this manner, but all of you listening, you will understand this. I’m paying to drive on the roads. And in Colorado, the one thing that I hate and despise, but it’s the way our system is set up, you’re not going to change it, is you drive a new car, you’re penalized. In other words, you pay more money to drive a new car, even though when it’s all said and done, the new car is probably doing less damage to the roadways than the old cars are because of, you know, suspension and alignment, all sorts of things that come into play. I’m not going to get into those details. But reality is the new car is less wear and tear on the roads than the old car in most cases. But yet new cars in Colorado are penalized when they go to get their registration because it’s a higher cost of vehicle. The way Colorado does it is since the vehicle costs more, you pay more. It has nothing to do with how heavy the vehicle is or anything else along those lines. It’s simply because it’s new, you’re going to pay more money. It’s frankly a load of crap, but it’s how we do it in Colorado. My feeling is every car should be based the same way no matter what the age is, and it should be based on wear and tear. In other words, what’s the weight of the vehicle? That’s what you should be charged on because that’s where the real wear and tear to the roadways come from. But that’s not how we do it here. The older the vehicle, the less and less you’re going to pay to register said vehicles. And if you go buy a new vehicle, you’re going to get penalized. It frankly is a bunch of garbage, like I said a minute ago. But that’s how it works. Now, all that being said, city of Denver, and remember, they own the airport. I think sometimes people forget that. They think that’s some sort of federal property and so on. The FAA is over the airport as far as guidelines, safety, air traffic controllers, and all of that. But every one of those airlines out there that rolls in and out, they are paying a gate fee and a usage fee, I guess you could say, to the city of Denver. You’re paying it in your ticket, of course, so you’re ultimately paying for it. But that money all goes to the city of Denver. It’s a cash cow for them. It’s why the construction thing takes as long as it does because you’ve got a bunch of knuckleheads at the city running this thing that, frankly, shouldn’t because they don’t have any idea what they’re doing. But that’s how it works. Most cities run their own airport. Denver is no different. I have been one for years and years that have said it should be privatized. It’s not going to happen. But the reality is since it’s city of Denver and it’s their property, it’s why you see Denver City cops, not the state patrol cops. monitoring what goes on on Pena Boulevard and around the airport itself. And the police officers that are called are going to be Denver PD and and and. So, yes, if you’re out there driving around and you go to park and you’ve got expired tags, you could probably count on getting a ticket because it looks to me like they’re zeroing in on those particular vehicles. Now, I’m not saying that’s wrong. I think there’s probably other things they could do. But depending upon the person they’ve hired to do that and how they’ve been, you know, deputized, I guess you could say to run around and write tickets for expired tags. You know what? If it’s a revenue collector for them, so be it. My feeling is I have to pay and keep mine all registered. So should everyone else. I don’t have a lot of sympathy for folks that are running around with expired tags, especially as I saw one the other day with temp tags from two years ago. So I think the one I saw the other day was a July of 2023 expiration. Two years. You can’t tell me that person couldn’t have gotten that done at the DMV in two years. They’re just being lazy, not wanting to do it, putting off the inevitable, making sure they don’t have to spend the money. Again, all of the rest of you that are listening that have to do this annually, why should that person get a pass? and frankly they they are because they’re still running around they must have not got any tickets or whatever because they’re still running around with said temp tags so i’m digressing that’s a sore spot for me but roof savers of colorado coming up next and as i say all the time if you’re up in the cheyenne area i’ve been saying this of late i should say if you’re up in the cheyenne area uh dave’s got you covered he’s got folks that are up in that area that can do a complete roof replacement help you through the process with your insurance company Help you get all of that dialed in.
