Bueller. hilarious that was a great movie by the way it was hilarious i still think though the best scene had to be singing in the streets yeah okay all right um with the ticker tape parade and all that you mean phenomenal yeah that was good okay now this this next one is a bit of a long clip but i just love the movie and it’s damon wayans in major pain and at this point uh he has been told because he’s too tough on the little kids and he’s been told he must be sensitive and here we go one of the kids comes running in

It’s good. The movie opens, World War II, a bunch of Nazis are raiding this Tibetan temple looking for a mystical scroll that was supposed to have powers. And one of the monks escapes with it. Seventy years later, the movie starts over in New York City, and here’s the same monk who escaped, hasn’t aged a day.

Oh, wow.

but because the scroll has kept him, has prevented any, but the Nazi colonel who raided the temple is now in his 90s and has been searching. He’s got a gang of thugs and he wants the scroll to regain his youth. And he finds this young, I think it was played by Sean William Scott, plays this young street hustler who’s been practicing Kung Fu by watching, he works as a projectionist and he’s been practicing Kung Fu by watching the Kung Fu movies and he Chow Yun-Fat takes him under his wing and schools him and turns him into not only a brilliant martial artist, but changes his mentality towards life and the world.

Yeah, and by the way, Sean William Scott is funny.

Yeah, it’s a great, it’s a guilty pleasure. It’s a lot of action. I think you can probably catch it on Netflix or something, but Bulletproof Monk. And I thought Chow Yun-Fat was, He doesn’t get the amount of PR that Jackie Chan does, but I thought he did a wonderful job. Well, I’ve always liked him. Yeah, very calm, very worldly. He’s always got a little smile. You know, he’s got this gentle way of teaching. So I encourage you to watch Bulletproof Monk.

No, I don’t prepare my clients’ taxes. I do, however, spend a lot of time talking to them about taxes. To use a sports analogy, tax preparation is like doing a recap of the game. What I do is more like creating a game plan and then following up over time to see how it’s working.

And how much are taxes a part of that game plan that you create?
SPEAKER 31 :
Well, with so many different taxes we’re faced with, it becomes an important thing to take into consideration. It’s not how much income you have, but how much you get to keep. In addition to federal and state income taxes, there’s property taxes, state and local sales tax, and fees. And they all play a part in shrinking our income.

What about people who already have really healthy balances in 401ks, IRAs? Won’t they be facing significant taxes as they draw income from those accounts? Well, it depends.

Everybody’s situation’s a little bit different. There’s no one size that fits all when it comes to tax planning. But often when I work with people, we’ll create a strategy where we will convert traditional IRAs to Roth over time. And that not only reduces taxes in the future, but it will also lower the tax they’ll be paying on their Social Security.
