Okay, here we go. The first game is not going to be football, so it’s going to be the Commanders are on the road at the Dolphins. Dolphins favored by two and a half. Quick question. Are the Dolphins, dare I say it, getting hot?

Well, Andy, getting hot’s a very, very strong term there, Andy. I feel like maybe they’re just not as bad. Right. Is that the right way of saying it? Are they getting less freezing cold? Yeah, less bad. There you go. Oh, okay, good. Yeah, maybe a little bit, Andy. The Commanders are getting more bad. I mean, or they’re just – the Commanders are coming back to reality combined with losing their quarterback and some of those other things. So, yeah, Andy, this game is in Spain, right? Yes. in Madrid for the first time, which will be interesting. Um, that’s cool. I don’t know if it’ll make it. Yeah. I don’t know if it’ll make a difference, but, um, I’m going to go, I actually liked the, the dolphins here, Andy. I think that they’re, I don’t know, maybe getting it figured out a little bit more. And again, I still don’t think that those guys save their jobs there in Miami. Um, I think that they just are going to do enough to maybe win some of these games where it’s kind of a toss-up and a coin flip.

Yeah, I agree, and I’ll take the Dolphins. I think the Commanders are starting to check out. I think they’re done. Okay. Panthers are on the road at the Falcons. Falcons are actually favored by 2.5, which is surprising. Is this the last chance for the Panthers to be relevant?
SPEAKER 06 :
I don’t know about last chance. If they lose this, I mean… You’re not wrong. Is it the last chance for the Falcons, Andy? I’m not saying Morris is going to lose his job, but Penix doesn’t appear to be growing. I know it’s his first full season, so don’t get me wrong, but there’s definitely some interesting things there, Andy, that are going on. Yeah, Andy, divisional game. I do like where Bryce Young’s at. I actually like the direction of the Panthers. I just think they’re a year away. You know what I mean? I agree. This is a game they probably should win. They may not. It’s on the road. I’ll pick the Panthers. But I actually like the trajectory that they’re on. Whether they maintain or not, that remains to be seen.

I don’t like either team in this game. I’ll take the Panthers with you. I’m going to go, yeah, Panthers next game. The Bills are favored by 9.5. They’re on the road at, oh my gosh, I put in the wrong team.

Who are the Bills playing? No, well, the Bills are at home against the Bucs.
SPEAKER 15 :
They’re at home against the Bucs. Oh, yes, I skipped down one. Okay, here we go. The Buccaneers are on the road at the Bills. Bills are favored by 5.5. Are neither of these teams contenders anymore? Can we say that they are both pretty much out of the top ring?
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, I don’t know if they’re contenders. I mean, I still think they’re contenders, Andy, because Bill’s, right? Because Josh Allen is still there. Whether they have enough offensive talent or not is a different conversation. is different. And the Buccaneers with Bakers, again, they seem like a really competitive team. Both of these teams are playoff teams, Andy. The question is, is where do they get seeded and then do they get hot enough at the right time? Because I think the Bucs maybe have too many injuries to continue on, and I just don’t know if the Bills have enough pieces around them to do that. But I’m going to take Buffalo, Andy, at home. They’re coming off. They lost last week, right, if I’m not mistaken, to the Dolphins. Yeah, they got smacked by the Dolphins. I think they’re going to be looking to get one. I think this will be a competitive game. One of the, well, not one of the better games, but a good game for this week. But I’ll go with the Bills at home.
SPEAKER 15 :
I’m going to take the Bills too. And let me just say this. I think Josh Allen is giving the Bills the curse of John Elway. And here’s what I mean. John Elway through his first decade in the league was so incredible. He won too many games and kept them from drafting well. and kept them from becoming an elite team. He really did. And finally, they put together that great running game, and they were able to do it at the end. But that’s what’s happening in Buffalo. They can’t put together enough talent because their quarterback is keeping them from drafting high.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, and Andy, I’ll say this. I would agree, and then also… A GM, right? Like in Kansas City, where you’ve got Veach and Reed. I think Veach is a really good GM. And I think you’ve seen some of that. They’ve missed on some of their picks, but they’ve drafted better than Buffalo has. And I think that’s the difference. Whereas I think Josh Allen is really, really good. And to your point, it’s just a lot harder when you’re drafting later to get those really good players. And they struggle with that.
SPEAKER 15 :
I totally agree. Okay, next game, Texans favored by six and a half at the Titans. Is there any team right now that the Titans can beat?
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, themselves? A scrimmage. I’d watch it. I’d buy a ticket. Andy, the only thing that worries me here is Davis Millis has played well, but he is a backup for a reason. And the Titans just feel like that team, they’re going to win more than one game. I just don’t think it’s more than two games that they win. So how do they, you know, essentially kind of how do they get that second win? And in a divisional game like this at home, playing against the team’s backup quarterback? Possibly. But I don’t have the confidence, Andy. I like the Texans’ defense too much. They are really good. I saw them firsthand. So I’ll go with the Texans on the road.
SPEAKER 15 :
I agree. That second win’s going to happen, but I’m not going to pick it all year. So when it happens, it won’t be me picking. I’ll take the Texans. Okay, the Bears are at the Vikings. Vikings are actually favored by 3.5. Not sure about that. Could the Bears win this division, or are the Lions going to just take it outright?
SPEAKER 06 :
This is it. the Lions are too good, Andy, but I think, well, we kind of saw this and you called it with Ben Johnson, you know, being obviously with the Lions and obviously Ben Johnson now going to the Bears. He’s really good and he’s actually been really good for Caleb Williams and I think he’s taken a step this year. He still runs around a little bit too much for me. He’s still a little bit too much Caleb Williams from USC, but I think that I think that they’re improving, Andy. And I just don’t think the Vikings are very good. I actually like Kevin O’Connell as a head coach. I just don’t think J.J. McCarthy’s the dude. And I know some people are going to say that there’s not been enough time. I just don’t think he’s the guy. I think they’ve been hurt by injuries, those sorts of things. So I don’t know why Minnesota’s favored here. I like the Bears. We talked about a team getting hot, right? You talked about the Dolphins maybe. I actually think the Bears are kind of on that. They’re kind of on this trajectory of they’re starting to bestial themselves a little bit, right, and kind of know where to go and what to do. So I’ll go with the Bears on the road.
SPEAKER 15 :
You know what? Geez, I want to disagree because we haven’t disagreed, but I can’t. I’m going to take the Bears as well. The Packers are favored by 7.5 at the Giants. Honestly, can the Packers beat anyone? And when they were 5-1-1, what did I say? They’re a paper tiger. I know they’re my team, but they’re not a good team. And now they’ve lost two in a row, and they look bad. Green Bay’s a bad team, okay, but so are the Giants.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, the Giants are bad, Andy, but Jameis is starting this week. That gives them hope. Jameis is starting, but they also don’t have their head coach. The question is, do the Giants get that interim coach bump that a lot of these teams get? They might. They might. I don’t know. I don’t know the answer.
SPEAKER 15 :
Right now, anyone can beat Green Bay, and I don’t say that just because I’m a miserable fan. They have no offense. They have no offensive line.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, I’m going to take a pick because I’m going to force you to disagree with me, and then pick your team because I’m just a cruel and sick individual. So I’m going to take the Giants at home, even though the spread is almost a touchdown here. I guess it is more than a touchdown. I’m going to go with the Giants at home to maybe make that upset because, like you said, I’ll buy into your idea that the Packers just aren’t very good.
SPEAKER 15 :
No, they’re terrible. Look, the Packers, and really quick, I say this as a fan who knows them, I could literally recite the entire team, including their heights, weights, sizes, 40 speeds, everything about them, okay? I know them that well. They have no nose tackle on defense. They have all this speed and no middle. They’re a donut on defense, and so they just get run over and beaten up. But the Giants are terrible, so I’ll take the Packers. There, we differed on one game. Okay, next game. Bengals are on the road at the Steelers. Steelers favored by five and a half. Look, since he has finished, can the Steelers stay afloat in a bad division?
SPEAKER 06 :
The better question, Andy, yeah, is can the Steelers hold on long enough to challenge Baltimore? Because I think Baltimore is going to go on a run here to finish off the year. And that’s not to say I think Baltimore is going to do much of anything in and we’ll get to them here in a second. But I just think that the Steelers have to, and you’ve got to beat Joe Flacco and the Bengals. I know Joe Burrow started his practice window. I think it would be so silly, Andy, to bring Burrow back any sooner than you have now. If you win the next two games or something like that, then maybe they have a conversation. But I’m going to go with this. I know the Steelers didn’t look very good last week. I’ll go with the Steelers here, Andy, just because, again, I just have no confidence in the Bengals.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, I’m going to take the Steelers too, and really quick, Joe Burrow, trade him to a team that has a line. I mean this. I feel so horrible for this guy, and he has become the Archie Manning of the NFL, an unbelievably talented quarterback who just gets annihilated every time he goes in the field. I feel bad for him. Okay, next game, the Chargers are favored by two and a half at the Jaguars. Now, look, I’m going to say it. The Chargers have no offensive tackles, no running backs. If we accounted for surrounding cast, wouldn’t Justin Herbert be a runaway favorite for MVP? If we accounted for surrounding cast.
SPEAKER 06 :
Andy, you mentioned John Elway earlier. Herbert feels like Elway of the 80s. I guess you should say, yeah, the late 80s and the 90s, where just a really great quarterback and no team around him, right? And I’m not saying to no fault of the Chargers. I’m just saying that injuries that happened have forced this to be the way that it is.
SPEAKER 15 :
They’re snakebitten.
SPEAKER 06 :
They are. They are absolutely snakebitten. So, yeah, Andy, at the same time, I don’t know in this because you’re traveling across country. You’re going to the Jags. They lost last week. Granted, they’re a downed Travis Hunter. Man, I don’t know. I’m going to take the Chargers here, Andy, just because I think that they’re a better coached team and I think that Herbert’s better than Lawrence. But, man, if the Chargers were healthy, this would be a runaway. But I’ll go with the Chargers, but I think it’ll be close.
SPEAKER 15 :
I say the same thing. Chargers and a squeaker. Next game, I’m going to say it, game of the week. Seahawks at the Rams. Rams favored by two and a half.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, we’ll maybe agree to disagree. Actually, I’ll agree based on the records, Andy. There’s another very close one coming up, yeah. There is, absolutely. Yeah, Andy, this will be interesting to me because the Seahawks have beaten the teams that they’re supposed to beat and kind of lost to teams that you would sort of expect them to, I guess, that way. And they only have two losses. I think they’re a really good team. I actually like McDaniel up there. I think he’s done a really good job. Um, I just don’t know. I think the Rams are really good too. I think McVay, it’s me and Stafford. You want to talk about MVP? I know Drake Mays getting all the, you know, the, the, the praise these days, but May or Stafford old man, you know, old gray bearded Stafford is coming through and maybe having some of the best, best ball of his career. He’s dominating. I’m, I’m going to go with the Rams here, Andy. And it’s only, I just, I, if I can ever pick against the Seahawks, I will. And then I just think the Rams are at home. Big divisional game. Really, really should be fantastic. This game should have been a Sunday night, but that’s a different conversation.

Great game. I’d pay for the ticket. I’ll take the Rams as well. Next game, the Niners are favored by two and a half at the Cardinals. Is this the last chance for the Niners to stay relevant?
SPEAKER 06 :
I don’t know about last chance, Andy, because they built themselves a nice team. Purdy’s back, so I think that’ll give them a lift, although I think Matt Jones did an admirable job. Cardinals are just not very good, Andy. We saw that last week against the Seahawks. So, yeah, I think the Niners should be a good chance for Purdy to get back into a rhythm and for them to sort of see if they can’t make a run to finish off. Although, again, with the Seahawks and Rams in that division, really, really tough. But I’ll go with the 49ers here.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, me too. Okay, next game, the Ravens, who are the mirror image of the Broncos, right? An unbelievable offense, really. Terrible defense. Okay, they’re on the road at the Browns. Ravens favored by 7.5. Will Baltimore catch the Steelers and win this division outright?
SPEAKER 06 :
I think it will, Andy. I think it will come down to the last couple weeks. I think they play the Steelers still one or two times, if I’m not mistaken. And the Browns are just awful. I don’t think the Browns should be playing Shador at this point in time, Andy. So I don’t know what they’re doing, in all honesty. I’m going to go, obviously, the Ravens here. I think they cover. Again, they’re on a mission right now. The question is, do they maintain that for the rest of the year, or are they going to… are they going to kind of get to the playoffs and flounder like they always do? That’s the only question that remains to be seen.
SPEAKER 15 :
I agree. I’ll take the Ravens in a blowout. Next game, the Chiefs are favored by 3.5, coming here to Denver, and Denver has the better record by far. Look, the Chiefs have improved, but can they win a tough road game? I haven’t seen them do it.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, I was going to say, they played against Buffalo before their bye, and there’s a few things on this.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, but Buffalo is not the Broncos. Broncos would kill Buffalo right now. I mean, the Broncos… might be the league’s best team with that defense.
SPEAKER 06 :
I like your optimism, Andy, and I’m going to go with my reverse genes like I have been for the past few weeks because it seems to be working. Although I will say this, Andy, Andy Reid is really, really good off of the bye week. I think his record’s like 20-4 or something like that. It’s insane how good he is. Now, the Broncos have had a little mini-bye, so I think this is a really close game. I’m hoping for the opposite result of what I’m saying. I just think, Andy, our offense has got to kick it into gear. And I’m hoping by playing the Chiefs, who their offense has come into their own over the course of the season, that they play really well. And that forces the Broncos offense to play well, because it seems like when the other team’s offense plays well, the Broncos offense plays well. So with that being said, I’m going to go with the Chiefs here, Andy. Again, reverse jinx style, hoping for the best, but I’ll pick the Chiefs to win on the road.

I’m going to go with you, actually. I think just narrowly. Honestly, it’s a toss-up, but I think the Chiefs have a slight edge. Okay, here’s the other game of the week. The Lions are on the road at the Eagles. Eagles are favored by two and a half. Should they be? I don’t think they look that impressive.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, they don’t look that impressive to me. I’m with you. They definitely look off. And the Lions are kind of coming into their own. I mean, I know they kind of struggled out of the gate a little bit, but I think that was sort of them figuring out their offensive coordinator, and it seems like Dan Campbell is calling plays now for them. I still think the Eagles are a faulty team. I think that even if they do maintain, and they should maintain, obviously they’ll win that division because that division is just, There’s nothing there this year. I think it’ll be the Lions, Andy. And actually, I like, honestly, I can’t believe that the Eagles are favored by home. I think this game should be a pickup rather than a team favored, to be honest. So I’ll go with the Lions on the road.

Yeah, I’m going to take the Lions, too. Honestly, I think the Eagles have the worst coach in the NFL, bar none. All that talent. They should be unbeatable. I mean, my Lord, their talent is sick. And yet, look at them. They struggle. I don’t know how. Last game, the Cowboys are favored by three and a half at the Raiders. I have one word to say. Why? Why play this game?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, there you go. Why play this game? Well, because it’s going to pad Dak’s stats. Oh, okay. I think a cheesecloth stops more, Andy, than the Cowboys defense does.

I mean, is there ever a receiver against the Cowboys who is not open? And I mean wide open. Every single play. Do they cover anyone?
SPEAKER 06 :
No. Nope, nope. It’s pretty much wide open, whatever you want to do, Andy. It’s like scrimmage. I think, again, I really like this game for fun, and I think ESPN is salivating. Granted, half of the country is not going to be able to watch it, but that’s a different conversation, Andy. Dad, one of these days, we need to do like a how do you watch TV, like what’s the best way to take advantage of things, because with this YouTube TV, ESPN, it’s really just messing up most of the world. But anyway, with that, Andy, I’m going to go with the Cowboys. high-scoring game here, but I think they just outscore the Raiders because the Raiders are just terrible.

Some of the financial things have a deadline of December 31st each year, and the biggest ones are required minimum distributions. If you’re under age 73, you don’t need to be concerned with that. If you’re over and you have an IRA, that’s something that needs to be done before the end of the year. Don’t wait until the last week in December. Because the financial companies, the Charles Schwab, the Fidelities, the insurance companies, they get incredibly busy that time of year. So it’s better to do it the end of November or at the latest the beginning of December.

So you’ll sit on the phone for them and sit on hold then, huh?

Well, if it’s the last week in December, you’ll bet there’ll be some time on hold. Also, if people have traditional IRAs and they want to convert to Roth, usually by the end of the year, most people know how much money they’ve earned. And we can estimate the correct tax brackets because Roth conversions also need to be done before the end of the year. And people can do those at any age.
