In this heated episode of Rush to Reason, Andy Pate takes listeners on a journey through some of today’s most controversial topics. The episode kicks off with a rigorous debate about the biases that exist within government-run media and educational systems. Andy and Tanner discuss how these biases perpetuate inequality and hinder progress, offering an incisive critique of left-leaning media strategies. With a focus on financial stewardship and political accountability, the hosts explore the role of artificial intelligence in bureaucratic functions. The potential risks associated with AI implantations in federal branches are thoroughly examined, shedding light on the futuristic
SPEAKER 06 :
This is Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 04 :
You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
SPEAKER 07 :
With your host, John Rush.
SPEAKER 04 :
My advice to you is to do what your parents did!
SPEAKER 07 :
Get a job, Turk! You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same, and there’s a big difference.
SPEAKER 01 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know, you can’t explain. But you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life. That there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 07 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind? It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush. Presented by High Five Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling, where every call ends with a high five.
SPEAKER 08 :
Actually, it’s Andy Pate, party of choice. And welcome to our number two here on Rush Reads. I’m Andy Pate filling in for John Rush along with Tanner Cole. Man. That’s right. Too much man for the women to handle. They’re up to the 11th floor. They’re getting very close.
SPEAKER 16 :
They’re screaming out there.
SPEAKER 08 :
I know. They’re getting very excited. Very excited. By the way, if anybody wants to call in and talk about immigration or any other topic, any other topic at all, it’s 303-477-5600. That’s 303-477-5600. Really quick here. Let’s do the impossible question. We forgot to do it on Friday. Actually, I did. Okay. Because I got going so fast. You know me. I get going so fast, I forget.
SPEAKER 16 :
So many good movies.
SPEAKER 08 :
I know. Well, here we go. Friday’s impossible question. This is kind of hard to put. A 1,500-year-old chunk of fossilized human poop. Excrement. It was found in southwest Texas. It contained the remains of what?
SPEAKER 16 :
An animal?
SPEAKER 08 :
You know what? Close enough. I’m going to give it to you. A whole rattlesnake.
SPEAKER 1 :
What?
SPEAKER 16 :
Yes. 150 years.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yes, human poop, fossilized, which, by the way, I didn’t know could happen. And, you know, and then it contained a whole rattlesnake. It finds the first evidence of a whole snake consumption ever found in the fossil record. So somebody, I guess, ate a snake.
SPEAKER 16 :
That’s unbelievable.
SPEAKER 08 :
That is just crazy. By the way, what are they going to find 1,500 years from now in San Francisco? I’m just saying because there’s a lot of, well, you know.
SPEAKER 16 :
A full needle in someone’s stomach.
SPEAKER 08 :
And there’s a lot of stuff that could fossilize. Okay, today’s impossible question, and we will answer it on Wednesday. Name the day in September when the number of daylight hours equals the number of nighttime hours.
SPEAKER 16 :
The 29th.
SPEAKER 08 :
No.
SPEAKER 16 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 08 :
Charlie, you got a guess? I know this one. I already knew this one. But that is the question. If you want to answer it, you can call in 303-477-5600, or you can go on the website RushToReason.com, or you can listen in on Wednesday when I will be back doing movies. Okay. We’ve got something going on. Marjorie Taylor Greene, you know her, right?
SPEAKER 16 :
I love her.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah. Unless she’s getting in fights. Did you see when she got in that fight on the floor with Lauren Boebert? think so yes they were calling each other uh which with a capital b i do believe and things like that it just blew my mind that they got i i have no idea what they were mad about i can’t remember but that was one of the more entertaining moments ever in house history well she has come out and informed or basically warned mpr the government-run media, that they’re in trouble when Doge comes along, that they are going to be one of the first things on the chopping block. And I wanted to ask you, Tanner, what do you even think of this entire idea of government-run media?
SPEAKER 16 :
I mean, it’s shocking we’ve gotten to this, but everyone that’s, or a hard lefty seems to call Trump and his supporters fascists when the first thing fascists do is take over the media.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 16 :
And they own over 90% of it.
SPEAKER 08 :
How can you have government-run media? I mean, think about this. They’ve got to be unbiased, right? Supposedly, the media has to be unbiased. Okay, let’s see. The government runs it. Now, I’m going to put this slowly here. If the government runs it, are they going to push… For more government control of things or less?
SPEAKER 16 :
More. And we don’t want that. Right. Because we already see the FBI, CIA on social media showing up to people’s houses because they support Trump asking them questions about their terrorists or whatever.
SPEAKER 08 :
Right. Okay. So when the FBI. Yeah. Okay. Look at this. Right. Even with Barack Obama. Right. The IRS was targeting Tea Party groups. Right. You had the FBI showing up at Trump’s house. You have the CIA. doing things oh was it the cia that had 51 operatives sign a letter claiming that the hunter laptop story was fake and they were lying lying through their teeth okay so are you going to have npr a government run media report honestly on these things when they happen
SPEAKER 16 :
No, and if they were honest, they would literally lay out the pros and cons. But no, they’re only going to lay out the pros for Democrats and just say, or anything that gets passed by Republicans, how bad it is, whereas anything passed by Democrats, how great it is.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, I mean, government-run media, right away, even just the thought of it makes me sick to my stomach. And PBS, by the way, oh, come on. You can’t have child programming for kids? Yeah, the Wiggles. I mean, come on. You can’t have programming for kids without the government? Look. The government should not be running any of these things, period, end of story, done. They have, why? Because first of all, they have, just because it’s government, they have an innate bias toward the left. Because the left wants big government. So when you are in favor of big government, that means you’re going to push everything on the left, right? And that includes transgenderism in sports and so forth. Every single thing, that includes everything. Illegal immigration, you call them all just immigrants and migrants. You take out the word illegal.
SPEAKER 16 :
Or alien, yeah.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, you take out those words, right? You omit those words. You are going to program kids. You’re going to program watchers of NPR or listeners to NPR and watchers of PBS. You are going to program people. Why? Always toward the left. Why? Because the left, all of it, be it the unions, be it the feminists, be it the environmentalists, be it whoever, they all support what? Bigger government. So you are going to push for all of those things. So there is absolutely no way the government run media is going to be even handed. Of course they got to go.
SPEAKER 16 :
Right.
SPEAKER 08 :
Long overdue. And let me ask you this. Okay, so what about government-run education?
SPEAKER 16 :
I don’t like it. I think it should be down to the school boards, but they’re impacted by the federal government anyways.
SPEAKER 08 :
Right. Look, should there be any government-run public education? Look, I understand about funding to make sure that every kid has a chance, but you can do that with vouchers. You equip every kid with a voucher, and you say the money follows the kid. and the parents choose where they’re gonna put their kid, right? And you gotta have some safeguards in the system. I’m cool with that, I’m fine with that, but for crying out loud, then you don’t have bias.
SPEAKER 16 :
Right.
SPEAKER 08 :
You see, because if you have a government run, everything we just said with NPR, PPS, okay, government run schools, are they going to push for more government or less? More. Always more, which means that they are going to push for which political party, Democrat, Republican?
SPEAKER 16 :
Democrat.
SPEAKER 08 :
Always Democrat, which means they are going to advance every single agenda of the left. Why? Because it agrees with the party that wants them to be bigger.
SPEAKER 16 :
Right.
SPEAKER 08 :
There’s just no way to do it.
SPEAKER 16 :
There isn’t, no.
SPEAKER 08 :
But if you had, you know, if everybody had a voucher, I mean, that all goes away. Now it’s up to the parents. The parents get to choose where their kid goes. And suddenly you take all of that bias. And by the way, if you want to put your kids into an all gay school, go ahead. You want to put your kids into an all Christian school, go ahead. You want to put your kids into an all Muslim school, go ahead. You want to put your kids into an all anything school, go ahead. If you want to put your kids into an all white school, well, guess what? You could do that, but all society is going to mock you and you’re going to go under overnight. Okay. It’s called the free market. The free market’s going to correct you right away. And they should, because why? You’re a racist piece of garbage. Right?
SPEAKER 16 :
Right.
SPEAKER 08 :
I think it’s time when I look at Doge coming along and I say the bulldozer. Okay. I’m looking at all of these government agencies, and I’m looking at the State Department crying because the election didn’t go their way. Tanner, when you see the State Department crying because the election didn’t go their way, and when you see PBS and NPR fighting for the right to proselytize with everybody’s tax dollars and push one side… Do you start to realize that Doge has an enormous task ahead of it?
SPEAKER 1 :
100%.
SPEAKER 16 :
I mean, you even see it with social media. They kept Trump off of their ex-use. Well, when it was Twitter, I mean, they were censoring everyone’s free speech on there. And some of those companies probably still are, Facebook and Instagram. Musk went into Twitter and cut 80% of the people there because he knew these people are getting paid to do mindless jobs. I could have AI doing this or I could have other people doing more tasks instead of sitting around twiddling their thumbs.
SPEAKER 08 :
My only concern about AI taking over everything in the government is… Oh, I don’t want that. Well, yeah. I mean, there are certain functions, of course, that it’s going to be fine. You’re just going with the future. But who programs the AI? You see, because we as conservatives have dealt with being throttled down, right, on Google searches. We have dealt with all kinds of AI and things like that being used online to wall us out.
SPEAKER 16 :
Right.
SPEAKER 08 :
And that makes me really worry about who is, you know, putting this together. What do you think?
SPEAKER 16 :
Hopefully it’s Elon because he’s the smartest man out there to be able to do it.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, so he’s fair. Then what happens when Elon moves on and somebody else takes over? What happens when you put AI in charge of all these things, right? And by the way, I do believe we need to cut, cut, cut at the federal level. I’m all for it. And I do believe AI is going to be necessary. I agree. But what if you do all that and then a Democrat takes over?
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, that’s the risk we’re running. I mean, hopefully we can win the next election. But I mean, technology will keep advancing and we’re going to have Democrats back in the White House at some point. So at some point they might reprogram it and then who knows where we go from there. But I guess for now, We can only hope and pray that everything works out correctly.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, let’s talk a moment about the next election, then we’ll go to break. What if we have a ticket like, say this, J.D. Vance, Tulsi Gabbard? Do the Democrats even have a chance?
SPEAKER 16 :
I don’t even know who they can run at this point.
SPEAKER 08 :
Oh, I think they’d run the governor of Pennsylvania or the governor of Kentucky or the governor of Colorado. Although he’s hurting himself by resisting the deportation. That’s going to look bad for him on a national scale. But still, when you look at… One thing that really helped them, the only time when… Kamala was up was after the debate with Trump. Right. Granted, she was fed the questions in advance. They cheated. You know they did. I’m saying it. That’s my opinion. I know, but it’s my opinion. Go ahead.
SPEAKER 16 :
She can’t get out a policy on the CNN town hall, any of her rallies, and then she has all these policies all of a sudden. She sounded like a Republican up there.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 16 :
I agree with most of the things she said.
SPEAKER 08 :
She sounded like she actually knew what she was doing, and you know she doesn’t. Okay. All right. But… But she was really helped because Trump is a lousy debater. Great leader, wonderful president, terrible debater. So it was after that debate, in the weeks following, she was leading and leading handily, and it looked like it was over. Then J.D. Vance did his debate, and all that momentum stopped. He crushed, crushed little Timmy, tampon Timmy. He crushed him. The problem is, is he is a great, not good, great debater. Okay. He is probably locked in as our candidate. I don’t think anybody’s going to run against him except maybe DeSantis. And he’s a great debater. Heck, they might run together. Okay. But I think it might be Tulsi Gabbard. Either way, she’s a great debater too. When you’ve got a group like that, is 2024 starting to look out of reach for the Democrats? Their only chance was to beat Trump.
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, I mean, they did everything in their power to try to beat him, and the American people have had enough of it. I mean, how many times can you call someone Hitler, a racist, a homophobe, a sexist, without people realizing, like, I’ve never heard him say any of this stuff. Maybe in the Rosie O’Donnell comment, but that was hilarious. That was maybe the best line in political history.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, it was funny. I mean—
SPEAKER 16 :
And he’s not wrong, but I mean, it’s just shocking how many times people can hear the same rhetoric and still believe it. I mean, I have buddies that are manipulated by this, family members, and there’s only so much you can do but pray for them and hope they can see the light someday because sure enough, the history books will in 20 years tell everyone what actually happened if the history books aren’t rigged at that point.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, well, we’ll tell you what. Let’s take a break. When we come back, I want to talk about another department. It’s not actually a department. It’s a business. But their funding is going to get cut because Doge has already spoken, and that is Planned Parenthood. But I’m going to tell you how they just made that a little more easy to do. Sound good?
SPEAKER 16 :
Yep, sounds good.
SPEAKER 08 :

SPEAKER 08 :
And welcome back to Rush Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Andy Pate filling in for John Rush along with Tanner Cole. All right, Tanner, let’s talk a little Planned Parenthood. All right. And they’ve got their federal funding is coming under attack. And I want you to hear about something they just did. I’m just going to play a little clip here. It’s just over a half minute. Here we go.
SPEAKER 14 :
We told you about Planned Parenthood’s flagrantly illegal contractual arrangement to sell so-called proprietary aborted fetuses to UC San Diego for the valuable consideration of owning the intellectual property and patent rights developed from experiments on the body parts. This heavily redacted research plan submitted to the UCSD Ethics Review Board and approved in 2018 states the project will harvest fetuses up to six months old from subjects undergoing elective surgical pregnancy termination at Planned Parenthood and who are carrying viable non anomalous fetuses.
SPEAKER 08 :
Six month old fetuses that are aborted. First of all, unbelievable it’s unbelievable that they’re having look these are children folks right these are children you could take them out of the womb and put them in a hospital setting that you know obviously cares for them as the womb does and guess what they grow up and be people like me totally people every day yeah they got beating hearts they got nervous systems they got brains they got it all they got limbs toes yeah fingers toes everything folks these are people And Planned Parenthood, this has come out. I mean, they’re not denying it. This is true. They are donating those for research.
SPEAKER 16 :
What is there to research? It’s a baby.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, yeah, but you can use them and research various things about the dead baby. The baby you murdered. Okay. That’s murder. Look, I believe it’s all, I believe it’s all murder. I believe all abortions murder, but for crying out loud, we’re talking about in the second trimester. Okay. I mean, are you kidding me?
SPEAKER 16 :
This isn’t first month, first trimester, two months, anything like that. Six months.
SPEAKER 08 :
I mean, 23 week old aborted babies for research. And they claim they’re arguing that they’re saving women’s lives. It’s like, no, guys, I’m sorry. This is House of Horrors type stuff.
SPEAKER 16 :
It’s I mean, it’s destroying the American population.
SPEAKER 08 :
It’s horrible. It’s absolutely horrible. And, you know, one thing that really gets me. is all the people who want to argue that somehow this is not a human life yet. Somehow this is nothing to worry about. And it’s just like, guys, you know, all of you people who say that won’t look at what’s being done. I want to ask just a show of, you know, I know right now there are people out there who disagree with me. You are pro-choice all the way, all the way up to the day of birth. Okay. I guarantee you there are people out there. Go ahead and call in. We’ll even put you in and I’ll put you right on the air. Have you ever watched a film of this being done? Have you ever watched The Silent Scream? That’s only 12 weeks. Okay. And it’s horrifying, Tanner. It’s horrifying. The instrument goes in, the baby lurches back. It’s a baby. You could see it is a, it is a formed baby limbs and everything. 12 weeks. It lurches back in the womb in horror and pain before it is then aborted and killed. Okay. They’re talking 23 weeks. 23 weeks. Do you understand what this child is feeling at the moment that you kill them? And then you just go and casually donate them for profit. Why? Because they’re going to then be able to benefit from all the research that comes from that and sell it. It’s big money.
SPEAKER 16 :
Big pharma.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, big pharma. But at the beginning of all that big money, folks… Is the, I mean, can you imagine, Tanner? You know, and I’m sorry, this is gonna get just a smidge graphic, okay? But can you imagine if somebody tore your arm off?
SPEAKER 16 :
No, I couldn’t even imagine it getting blown off, shot off, anything.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER 16 :
Even a finger.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, think about somebody who doesn’t understand what’s being done to them. Right. And then that’s being done. Folks, they’re profiting off that. OK, so when they say Planned Parenthood is going to lose federal funding, all of it. And Doge says that’s going to be the first thing to go. I say, amen, baby.
SPEAKER 16 :
I love it.
SPEAKER 08 :
You are monsters at Planned Parenthood.
SPEAKER 16 :
And they have injected this idea into all these women’s minds like, oh, you don’t need a baby. You’re a strong, independent woman. You can get an abortion whenever you want. And it’s just like the women my age think this is just like a right to have. And it’s like you’re killing someone every time you do this, let alone some people who get three, four.
SPEAKER 08 :
Look, I understand. Here’s the thing I don’t like about our side. We don’t seem to understand the terror that goes through a girl’s mind when, look, she’s impregnated. She has someone growing within her. It’s a terrifying situation. She wants it to go away. And meanwhile, by the way, she’s got a boyfriend. He wants it even more than she does because he doesn’t have any feelings of nurture. He just wants to erase the problem.
SPEAKER 16 :
Right. Could be a high school or young college student. I mean.
SPEAKER 08 :
Right. And so, look, I think our side is not nearly as empathetic as we should be. So let me just say that. But. Folks, have you watched a film? Have you watched The Silent Scream? Have you watched it? That’s only 12 weeks. I challenge anybody out there because if you’re maintaining your entire probe choice stance with lack of evidence, you’re maintaining it by watching less, by looking at less, by purposefully making sure you never see what happens in the womb at that time. I don’t think that’s a good thing.
SPEAKER 16 :
No.
SPEAKER 08 :
There was a time in our history when we looked away from what was happening to black people on the plantation. There was a time in our history when, in Germany, they looked away from what was being done to the Jews in gas chambers, okay? Looking away doesn’t make it go away.
SPEAKER 16 :
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER 08 :
So anyway, I want to applaud Doge. Way to go, Doge. And by the way, Elon Musk, he’s pro-choice, for crying out loud. All right? But even he’s saying, no, we’re not going to put money to that. Thank you. Amen. Love it. Let’s take a break. When we come back, we’re going to talk a little football. You ready?
SPEAKER 16 :
I’m ready.
SPEAKER 08 :
All right. Veteran Windows and Doors. Hey, they tell you to shop around first because they’ve got the best value. Call Veteran Windows and Doors. Let them know Rush to Reason sent you and get their best deal. 303-529-0720.
SPEAKER 11 :
Veteran Windows and Doors challenge you to ask every window and door salesperson about the ratings of their windows and doors. Owner Dave Bancroft knows other window and door companies are trained only to sell, not on whether their windows are even engineered for your home. Dave has an app where he can show you the exact door the other company showed you, but Dave will also include the correct efficiency ratings and codes necessary for your home. The other companies’ doors often don’t meet code, energy-efficient ratings, or give you crucial tax credits on your products. Also, Veterans installation methods are far stricter than other companies. They do more flashing, sealing, and installation than is required to ensure your windows and doors are going to work the way they’re supposed to. And Veteran now offers financing. Get 40% off and free installation when working with Veteran windows and doors by going to klzradio.com.

SPEAKER 07 :
Now, back to Rush to Reason, presented by High Five Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling, where every call ends with a high five.
SPEAKER 08 :
And welcome back to Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560 on the line right now. We’ve got Richard Rush. Richard, how are you, sir? Oh, I’m well, Andy. How are you? I am doing well. Now, Richard, I’ve got to get religious for just a moment here. As you know, I believe that God only became man once in the form of Jesus Christ. But could you make an argument that he did it a second time in the form of Kansas running back Devin Neal on Saturday?
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, my goodness. Well… If he was short black and from Lawrence, Kansas, yes, Andy. Yes, you could. My gosh. What was that? Well, and here’s the deal. My old buffs who have played great defense, great rushing defense, they held Utah to 31 yards, Andy, rushing total for the game. With all of that being said, if the Buffs had tackled better, because they just did not tackle on Saturday to do anything, then they probably would have been a lot better off and who knows what would have happened. But they just decided to have their worst tackling game of the year against a kid who’s from Lawrence, Kansas, in front of his friends and family, wanting to put on a show, and a show he did. I mean, between him and Saquon, Andy, it was a weekend of running backs.
SPEAKER 08 :
Oh, my gosh. Well, I got to tell you this, Richard. Twice a year, my Packers used to have their worst tackling game of their lives against Barry Sanders. And he had no offensive line. Did I get it? He was alone. He had no quarterback, no line, no wide receivers. I don’t know if they had coaches. I think they just walked him out there. And he would run through our entire defense, and it was the worst thing I’d ever seen. And this Saturday for CU… It almost looked like that against Neal.
SPEAKER 06 :
I mean, my goodness. Andy, if he was a generational running back or he was the kid from Boise State competing with Travis Hunter for the Heisman, I would actually feel better about myself in all 1,000% honesty. And I think he’s going to be an NFL running back, or at least I think he’ll be in a backfield next year, right? He’ll get a shot, that sort of a thing. But at the same time, he’s not a generational talent. Like, this guy’s just kind of your run-of-the-mill dude that, yeah, he had a great game and he’s had a really solid career, but that’s about it. Those guys should not beat you for 200 and something rushing yards, over 300 yards, all of the things that happened.
SPEAKER 08 :
CU was grabbing more air than Joe Biden when he misses a hug. All right.
SPEAKER 06 :
I mean, I’m telling you, Joe Biden or Tyreek Hill, you’re running down the sidelines here at mile high, Andy. I mean, it was it was insane.
SPEAKER 08 :
You just went to the pros. Let’s go to the pros. Broncos are on fire. And now let’s let’s be fair, though. They didn’t play a football team. They played a scrimmage. It’s called the Raiders. And for some reason, they made it a game for like a half or whatever. But I watched a little bit of it, and I watched the Raiders quarterback, and I texted you. He was horrifying. I mean, even when he had guys wide open, he was throwing it at their feet, over their heads. He was awful. And he used to be semi-decent. What happened?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, Andy, you don’t have – I mean, your best receiver is Brock Bowers. And when you put the best corner in the league – on your best rookie tight end, as good as Bowers is. And, man, that dude is changing the game, and he’s going to be lights out, unfortunately, for my Broncos for a number of years. But that’s really the name of it. Your best receiver is getting covered up by Patrick Sertan, the best cornerback in the league. And that’s what’s going to happen.
SPEAKER 08 :
But he was missing everywhere. I mean, don’t get me wrong. The Broncos look good, and I love their defense. But wow. He was burning it into the feet.
SPEAKER 06 :
Gardner Minshew is your classic… He’s the new Ryan Fitzpatrick, right? He should be your career backup that he’s going to make a million gazillion dollars in the league, as he should, because he’ll be able to come in and win you a game or two. But if he is your full-time starter, teams are going to figure him out, and it’s going to be not a good situation.
SPEAKER 08 :
Right, but I heard at the end of the game his mother disowned him.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, you know, at the same time, Andy, I wouldn’t disown too much because it’s still the Raiders here. I mean, how much onus can you put on Gardner Minshew? That’s true. Go ahead, Tanner.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, I mean, the Raiders also got a free, I think they scored a touchdown off that 34-yard fake punt. So, I mean, other than that, the game should have been blown wide open. Granted, the Broncos didn’t miss a couple times. I don’t know what’s going on with Trevante Williams. I thought he would be great this year after he had a great rookie season and then tore, can’t remember, his ACL or something. But I like McLaughlin as well as, what was his name, Este in the backfield. They look great. And then Amir Abdullah for the Raiders, I haven’t seen a Raiders running back look that good in a while.
SPEAKER 06 :
yeah well if you had any team andy you’re andy you’re you’re running back this this these years he used to destroy the broncos and and amir adula came in and he again i feel like it was the broncos not or not tackling similar to the buffs granted part of it was you have you lost a key piece and zach allen on the defensive line he may be out for a few weeks um but yeah it’s it it’s They’re making good progress, Andy. The Broncos are. They’re on a roll. And they’re beating teams that they should beat. They really, obviously, they should have beat the Chiefs a few weeks ago. There’s no question in my mind that game should have been a lot different than it was. But you know what? I will take it. And the win in the NFL is a hard thing to do. And so if you can win, you’re not going to complain about… It’s like the Chiefs, Andy, which I think that’s one of the conversations they’re going to get bit at some point in time. But… So a win is a win. I’m not going to complain about it, and I don’t think anyone will.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, real quick question, then we’ll go to break, because when we come back I’m going to do NFL picks. Sound good? Absolutely. Here’s the question, though, and I’m serious. The Broncos, I think, are headed to the playoffs. But are they a legitimate threat to go to the Super Bowl? And here’s why I ask this. You’re not in the NFC. There are no Detroit Lions in front of you. There’s no Philadelphia Eagles even in front of you.
SPEAKER 01 :
Vikings.
SPEAKER 08 :
You know, and really the Lions. I’m sorry. No one’s going to beat that team. I think the Super Bowl has already been won, barring a bunch of injuries. It’s over. All right? And… Because in the AFC, I don’t think the Chiefs are that impressive at all. I don’t think the Ravens are that impressive. I think their defense is a sieve. I don’t think there is an… Look at the Steelers. They don’t have a quarterback they can rely on. Miami, who knows who’s going to show up this Thursday against Green Bay. I don’t like either team. This is ridiculous. I don’t like the AFC. Could you win it? I… Well, not this year. Here’s the deal.
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, Tanner.
SPEAKER 08 :
Really quick. Tanner’s pointing at himself. That means he thinks the Chargers are going to win the AFC. Put him in his place.
SPEAKER 06 :
Go ahead. Fix him. The Chargers with Jim Harbaugh, I should say, are not the Chargers of old that the Chargers are going to charge sort of a situation. So I will agree with Tanner there. I actually think they’ve got a legitimate shot we’ll see tonight, you know, going against the Ravens.
SPEAKER 08 :
If the Chargers lose tonight, are they going to need the same, you know, therapy sessions that the State Department’s getting right now?
SPEAKER 06 :
They might, Andy. Well, they should win. Again, I’m with you. There’s a lot of flawed teams in the AFC. It’s stronger than the NFC, but there’s a lot more flaws with each team. I think the Broncos could get in and absolutely win a game, Andy. It would not surprise me. They get in as a seven seed. They play the two seed, which is likely going to be one of the Bills, the Chiefs. Maybe the Steelers would like that. And could they win that game? Absolutely, they could win that game. But it’s much more likely, Andy, they get in, they have a competitive showing, they bow out, but then you’ve got three years, four years to build on that with Bo Nix on a cheap rookie contract to be able to make some noise.
SPEAKER 08 :
If you can keep that defense together. By the way, I do think the Bills are the best team in the AFC. I don’t think the Bills can beat Detroit. I think Detroit would manhandle the Bills. Because I think Detroit’s going to destroy. They’re going to have a down week.
SPEAKER 06 :
They’re on a mission. Andy, this is the last thing I’m saying. We’ve got to run a break. They are loaded. Here’s the deal with Detroit. As with any team who hasn’t done it before. And hopefully it plays to their advantage. they’ve got to avoid the pitfall game that’s inevitably going to happen. They’ve got to hope that happens in the regular season as compared to the playoffs. Because I think if they get to the playoffs, Andy, and they’re doing everything that they’ve been doing, they will run right through, beat any team in the playoffs, and bring the first Super Bowl to Detroit, which, you know what, maybe we all can be agreed upon.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, I think we can all agree on that. Okay, let’s take a break. When we come back, we’re going to do picks. Up next is Affordable Interest Mortgage with Kurt Rogers. SPEAKER 05 :
We don’t yell at you. We inform you. Now, back to Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 08 :
And welcome back to Rush to Reason. Denver’s Afternoon Rush. KLZ 560. Andy Pate filling in for John Rush along with Tanner Cole. Man. And on the line right now, we got Richard Rush. Richard, really quick here. Quick question. You know, Elon and Vivek, they’re doing Doge. If Doge took over the Raiders and the Jaguars, would there be any players left?
SPEAKER 06 :
Maybe Trevor Lawrence, Andy, because you could think he could maybe come out of it, not sure. And then the Raiders, yeah, Brock Bowers and Max Crosby. Give me a Max Crosby on my team any day of the week.
SPEAKER 08 :
All right, you’ve got three players from those two teams. I think that’s great.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, I will make do with him. But no, they need more reform, although maybe not quite the Jets who are using a – third party analytic newly formed company andy to help them hire age i mean if there’s not a more terrible organization in the you know and by the way this is me criticizing the jets who have a very good conservative republican owner and woody johnson right who’s likely going to be the united states you know ambassador to to uh england or uk whatever it is okay you know So anyways, I love it, but at the same time, man, that dude does not know how to run an organization, to say the least.
SPEAKER 08 :
I swear the Jets might get the first AI GM.
SPEAKER 16 :
I mean, it could happen. No kidding, Andy.
SPEAKER 06 :
And it would be them because they would be convinced it would work.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, we’ve got a lot of games. We’ve got to move kind of quick, so here’s what we’re going to do. I introduce each game. Richard, you talk about it, give your pick, and then Tanner will give his pick. I move on to the next game. You ready? Sounds good. All right, let’s strike up the music. Here we go. All right, Richard, we’ve got three games on Thursday. The first game is the Chicago Bears are the latest sacrificial lamb. They’re on the road at Detroit. Detroit favored by 11. Go.
SPEAKER 06 :
Not a lot to say. Maybe Caleb Williams, prime time here, Thanksgiving. He’ll make it fun for everyone, but I’m not necessarily relying on that. Obviously, I’m going to go to the Lions here. That is also my son Joshua’s pick. He wanted to say, go Lions, go. Okay.
SPEAKER 16 :
Tanner. All over the lines. They’ve been my second favorite team for years now.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 16 :
Long time coming.
SPEAKER 08 :
Next game, another one. This is an ugly bowl. The Giants. New York Giants. Sorry, John and Cheyenne. They’re on the road at the Dallas Cowboys, who are also awful. Cowboys favored by four. Will anyone watch even their mothers?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, maybe, Andy, if we get some more plays like we had in the Dallas game yesterday because that was some exciting stuff right there. It’s true. It was. I was shocked. I will take that all day every day. Yeah, Andy, I’m just going to go because I think the Giants are a dumpster fire, so I’m going to go with the Cowboys. Not really confident in that, but that’s what I’m going to go with. Okay.
SPEAKER 16 :
Even though the Cowboys’ defense let up quite a few points, I think their defense played well. Michael was everywhere. Cowboys win.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, next game, the Dolphins, who have a roaring offense right now. They’re on the road at my banged-up Green Bay Packers. Packers, for reasons that are beyond me, are favored by three. Richard, what do you think?
SPEAKER 06 :
You know, Andy, this is obviously going to be one of the more exciting games of the weekend just based on, I feel like, two better teams. Yeah, more fun. I think that the Packers, you know, coming off of a good win, obviously, against the 49ers yesterday. I think it’ll be exciting. Andy, I’m going to go with the upset here just because I think the Vikings, or not the Vikings, the Dolphins are rolling a little bit. Maybe they’re finding their groove with Tua. Although, Andy, what is the weather forecast in Green Bay? Is it going to be cold? I do not know. Tanner?
SPEAKER 16 :
I assume it’s going to be freezing, so that’s why I took the Packers.
SPEAKER 06 :
I mean, it is Green Bay. It’s going to be cold. So it’s going to be cold. I may regret that pick. I’ll stick with the Dolphins. We’ll just see.
SPEAKER 08 :
Richard, have you ever seen a dolphin frozen solid with a helmet on? That will happen on Thursday, Andy. I would hope so. Go ahead, Tanner.
SPEAKER 16 :
I heard someone ate a dolphin 150 years ago, and it showed up, its full body still intact. All right. I don’t think the Dolphins can win in the cold. They’re too used to that humidity and heat.
SPEAKER 08 :
You’re taking the Packers. Okay, next game. Oh, the Raiders. I don’t know why they play anymore. They’re on the road at the Chiefs who are favored by 13 and a half. Richard, do the Raiders show up? Can we have our first forfeit in a while?
SPEAKER 06 :
Andy, the only reason I think the Raiders show up is because inevitably the Chiefs seem to play close games with whoever they play, whether it be the Raiders or the Panthers. And so I’m going to go with a close game here, but yeah, the Chiefs are going to win. When you’re playing the Raiders, trust me, I know from my Broncos. It’s almost a guaranteed win, especially for a team like the Chiefs. Okay, Tanner.
SPEAKER 16 :
I agree. I think the Chiefs will win but not cover. Also, the Raiders were making fun of Mahomes at the start of the season, and the Chiefs didn’t back it up in their first game. They only won by, like, three. So maybe they get it going finally, but Chiefs win by a couple.
SPEAKER 08 :
I think you’re both wrong. I think the Chiefs win big. I think the Raiders are simply that awful. Okay, next game. The Chargers. That’s right, Tanner’s Chargers. They’re on the road at the Falcons. Falcons have absolutely no pass defense whatsoever. 32nd out of 32 teams. Herbert’s going to have fun. What do you think? You know, Andy, I’m going to go on the upset here. Well, actually, the Falcons are a six-and-a-half-point favorite, aren’t they?
SPEAKER 06 :
No, no. No, Chargers are favorite. Oh, no, no. Okay, got it. I read it wrong. Go ahead. Okay, yeah, I feel like I have nothing to go off of other than the fact I think the Chargers are going to win tonight, and so I think they’re going to be riding high, even with Jim Harbaugh there to cool them down. I’ll go with Atlanta here, Andy, just because I think, obviously, I know where Tanner’s going to go, and we’ve got to have some differences.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, so you’re going to take the Falcons. Go ahead.
SPEAKER 16 :
The Falcons looked so good when they did play the Chiefs. I mean, they got Jesse Bates back there, Justin Simmons, A.J. Terrell. You would think their past events is good, but they haven’t shown up. They are 6-5, and the Bucs have won another game. So the Falcons kind of do need a win to close out this division. I’m going to take the Chargers, though.
SPEAKER 08 :
Tanner, they could have you and Richard to, you know, bolster their pass rush. I just want you to know. Okay, the next game, the Steelers, they have a pass rush. They’re on the road at the Bengals. Bengals favored by three. Go, Richard.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know, Andy, I’m probably going to go 0 for this week. and I feel like that’s okay. But I’m going to go with the Bengals here. I think Joey B’s angry. He needs a win. I think the Steelers, as well as, like you say, they go off of their defense, and Joey’s starting to get heated up. I think this is a close one. I think the Bengals win late. I have zero confidence in that pick. I’m just going to go out here on a limb here. Okay. Go, Tanner.
SPEAKER 16 :
I’m going to take the Steelers purely because I think last game was a fluke. The Browns’ defense is legit. Their offense stinks. But Jameis sometimes has great games. The Bengals’ defense can’t stop anyone. So I’m taking the Steelers.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, here’s an easy one. Richard, the Cardinals are on the road at the Vikings. Vikings only favored by 3.5. Explain this to me.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, they’re starting to come back to earth, Andy. Sam Darnold is not the Sam Darnold of earlier in the season. Andy, here’s a quick conspiracy theory for you that has been floating around the old social media deal. Go. Vikings quarterback next year, Aaron Rodgers. No. Aaron’s done. Brett Favre, baby. There’s reports he wants to play again. J.J. McCarthy may not be ready. They may not be ready to commit to Sam Darnold full-time or with an extension. Who says no? No. I say no.
SPEAKER 16 :
It’s the same route.
SPEAKER 06 :
He’s cut. I’m with you. I think it would be a bad idea, but I’m just throwing it out there. Anyways, with that being said, Andy, I’m going to go with the Vikings here, traveling to a cold city, even though it’s inside. The Cardinals are starting to come back to earth as well, Andy, especially after yesterday. So I’m going to go with the Vikings.
SPEAKER 16 :
Tanner. Yeah, the Cardinals, I’m pretty sure, won four straight and looked like they were going to take over the NFC West, but that’s changed quite a bit after the Seahawks dominated them. I’m going to go with the Vikings as well. I think the cold weather gets to them, even though it’s indoors.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, gentlemen, got to speed it up. We got seven games left, only four minutes. Here we go. Colts are at the Patriots. Colts favored by three. Go, Richard.
SPEAKER 06 :
Which Anthony Richardson shows up, Andy? Does it matter? Again, I’m going to keep my same theme, Andy, and hope some of these stick. I’m going to go with Drake May and the Pats to deface the Colts and take off their shoes. Okay, go ahead, Tanner.
SPEAKER 16 :
I kind of like that as well. I think Drake May is better than people thought. He got concussed and has come in and done well. I’m going to take Patriots as well.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, next game, the Seahawks are on the road at the New York Jets. Seahawks only favored by two and a half. I don’t get it. Go ahead, Richard.
SPEAKER 06 :
They got to travel, Andy. I’ll go with the Seahawks here. I’ve got zero confidence in the Jets, and as I say this, Aaron Rodgers will probably have his best game of the season, but I’ll go Seahawks.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, probably. Tanner, go.
SPEAKER 16 :
I love the Seahawks. I pretty much have all of their weapons on my fantasy team, so I’m going to take them.
SPEAKER 08 :
Jets are a dumpster fire. Next game, the Titans are on the road at the Commies, the Commanders, and the Commanders favored by five and a half. That’s not enough. Go ahead, Richard.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know, Andy, I’m going to go the upset here because I think that the Titans fresh off a good win yesterday against the Texans are going to be feeling good. And I think Jalen Daniels is getting figured out a little bit up there in Washington. So give me the Titans on the road. All right, Tanner, go.
SPEAKER 16 :
Just to give us some more controversy, I’m going to take the Commanders.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, taking the Commies. Next game, Texans are on the road at the Jags. Texans favored by five. They look lousy lately, too, but the Jags are horrible. Go.
SPEAKER 06 :
I was going to say, I don’t think I can get on the Jags train, especially Trevor Lawrence is likely out again. So, yeah, I’m going to go with the Texans. Hopefully they get right because they need to get right in a big way. Or that division could get a little bit more competitive than they would want to believe. Agreed. Tanner?
SPEAKER 16 :
I agree wholeheartedly. I will take the Texans as well.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, next game, the Rams at the Saints. Rams favored by three. This is a weird game. Go, Richard.
SPEAKER 06 :
It is weird, Andy. I’m going to go with the Rams. I know the Saints are kind of playing well under their interim coach, but I’m going to just say that I think the Rams will figure it out with old McVay.
SPEAKER 08 :
There’s something about an interim coach. Right. You know, players care more. I have no idea. There’s hope. Go ahead.
SPEAKER 16 :
Antonio Pierce last year. Yeah.
SPEAKER 08 :
Maybe they’re feeling the joy because Kamala lost.
SPEAKER 16 :
I don’t think Marcus Valdez-Scantling can have another big game. He was great in college and great for some teams.
SPEAKER 08 :
Taking the Rams?
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, got two games, two minutes. Here we go. The Bucs. They are favored by, I believe, six. They’re on the road at the Panthers. Go, Richard.
SPEAKER 06 :
Interesting, Andy. I think we’ve got three games left here, Andy. I’m going to go with the Bucs. This is a Joshua pick as well. Makes sense. Bucs over the Panthers. Even with the Panthers playing the Chiefs close, they’re playing better of late. Give me the Bucs. Okay, go, Tanner.
SPEAKER 16 :
Bucs as well. They’re just a better team.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, next game, the Eagles are on the road to the Ravens’ best game of the week.
SPEAKER 06 :
Give me the Ravens. It’ll be at home. They’ll be coming off a loss tonight. They’re going to need one. Okay, Tanner.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, when I look down at ESPN, they even have a line. So I’m taking the Ravens as well.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, next game Sunday night. Oh, gosh, the 49ers are awful right now. They’re on the road at the Bills. Bills only favored by 6.5. It’s not enough. Go, Richard.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, 49ers need a reset. That’s the conversation for next week, though, Andy. Give me the Bills. They’re tuning up for a good run here.
SPEAKER 16 :
I love the Bills. My boy Khalil Shakir is tearing it up. Bills win.
SPEAKER 08 :
Last game, the Browns on the road at the Broncos. Broncos favored by five at home. Come on, this is easy. Go, Richard.
SPEAKER 06 :
It should be, Andy, but again, old Jameis, he’s a surpriser there. I think that this will be tight. I think that the Browns will run the ball well. I think Jameis will have a few good passes, but Sean Payton knows him from his time in New Orleans. I’m going to go with my Broncos at home, although I don’t know if they cover, Andy, but I’ll take the win.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, Tanner, go.
SPEAKER 16 :
I like to stir the pot. Jameis does it again. Hopefully there’s another blizzard during this game as well.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, one last thing. Richard, you’ve got 20 seconds. Two years from now, out of this rookie class, who’s the best quarterback?
SPEAKER 06 :
Two years from now, Andy, I’m going to go with Bo, because I think that some of these guys are going to regress, and I think that Bo will continue to ascend. Always thought he had the highest floor, lowest ceiling, Andy, but he is sort of proving me wrong on the ceiling pieces. But I think it will be Bo, just based on the current trajectory and his ability to win in different ways, I’ll say that.
SPEAKER 08 :
Richard Rush, thanks for joining us once again, and thanks for letting me know. that Bo is going to be the best in a couple of years. Hey, Tanner, thanks for joining us as well. And that’s it for our number two and our number three. I’m going to be joined by Jersey Joe. So until then, keep it right here on Rush to Reason, KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 04 :
I’m a rich guy
